J. Cole Rocks Zink Magazine’s April Issue
J. Cole rocks the April 2013 issue of Zink magazine. He gets dapper in a suit and tie, and also poses in a black leather vest and jacket in a couple of his snapshots.
A little over a week ago, the Roc Nation rapper dropped the accompanying visuals to his Miguel-assisted “Power Trip” – which may have surprised fans with the ending, when it comes out that he’d murdered Miguel. In an interview with MTV News, he revealed that his team was a little hesitant about casting the singer as a victim in the clip – and after no one else pitched the idea to Miguel, he decided to ask him himself. He said:
A week goes by, and I’m like, ‘What’s up with Miguel? I haven’t heard nothing back, we’re tryna move on the video, get the location, get the dates,’ and everybody’s real hesitant, like, ‘Oh we haven’t gotten a chance to pitch it to him,’ and I finally realize what’s happening … nobody has the balls to go to Miguel and tell him.” At this point, Cole figured he had to take matters into his own hands if anything was going to be accomplished, so he called Miguel.
I was really hype explaining it to him, and after I tell him the concept I say, ‘I want you to be the boyfriend, getting murdered,’ and he was just like ‘It’s crazy you say that because right as you were telling me the story, [I] thought I should be the boyfriend, I should be the one getting killed.’ So he was down for it, but it just took me to have that creative conversation with him.

BUSTED: Big Sean SNAPPED Partying With A CLIQUE Of STRIPPERS
As G.O.O.D. Music rapper Big Sean puts the final touches on his sophomore disc, Hall Of Fame, he was busted blowing off some steam at a private party with a "Clique" of strippers.
Since his "Dance (A$$)" track became an anthem for many ladies who work the pole, it's not surprising that Big Sean would enjoy a lap dance every now and then. But since he just went public with his relationship with "Glee" star Naya Rivera, we just thought he'd curb his behavior...a little. Or at least be smart enough to not let your homies Instagram the ish.
In the pic, which was snapped at a private party and posted on Instagram yesterday, he seems to be indulging in skripper behavior with his hands are all over the stripper's genitalia.
It doesn't mean he's cheating though...it could just be a case of boys beings boys.

The Real Rick Ross Addresses Rapper Rick Ross' Date Rape Lyrics
Rapper Rick Ross created quite the controversy when his date rape lyrics caused him to lose his Reebok deal. Many wondered what Rick Ross was thinking when he put out that verse, but I know things sometimes happen.
Now, in an effort to save his name, the real Freeway Rick Ross has commented on the issue and says the rapper Rick Ross is dragging his name through the mud.
You can check out the real Freeway Rick Ross' statement about the rapper Rick Ross' date rape lyrics when you click on that "Read below:
When we are young we make mistakes and some can be life altering. I made my mistakes, paid for it and have since lived my life to help the youth to not make those same mistakes I made. So while the real Freeway Ricky Ross is telling the youth not to sell drugs "the rapper Rick Ross" is glorifying it and reprogramming those young men and women I am trying to save.
It saddens me to listen to the lyrics to that "Date-Rape Song". I want everyone to know the real Freeway Ricky Ross doesn't rap or would never speak that way. "The Rapper" has taken my name and old lifestyle to make millions without any regards for anything he says that can hurt the positive I am trying to do in the community. This is the reason why I filed the lawsuit. To recover my name!
I'm stuck in a real life "CB4" situation and it really isn't funny to me. Rape is never a positive thing and on behalf of my name, I want to say "this whole situation saddens me".
So what do you guys think about this?
NOT AGAIN! VOGUE Netherlands Uses "Blackface" For CONTROVERSIAL Editorial
VOGUE Netherlands has joined the growing list of European publications putting non-Black models in blackface. As the "blackface" craze continues, it's beginning to look like European fashion editors and photographers are under the assumption that the world is lacking beautiful BLACK models worthy of their editorials. Or that there's no harm in painting non-black faces black for "creative" purposes.
We told you a while ago about French fashion magazine Numéro using a white model to pay tribute to African Queens and now, Vogue Netherlands has used a white model to pay tribute to Grace Jones and Josephine Baker!
In the editorial, which was intended to honor Marc Jacobs' 2008 and 2009 seasons (which took inspiration from Grace and Josephine), Vogue Netherlands painted model Querelle Jansen's face black and used wigs to mimic the texture of black hair. This follows a long list of other fashion mags (Vogue Paris, L'Officiel Hommes, V) that have all used blackface in recent years. We have to ask....were all the Black chicks booked for other gigs?
It's no wonder the winner of "The Face" , Devyn Abdullah, didn't want to be identified as "Black" since European mags don't seem to hire Black models....even when the editorial is tributing someone of African descent!
Should Black readers (around the world) be outraged at this outright refusal to use Black models? Or do we just say anyone of any color should be able to portray black figures...in black face...
SPEAK ON IT!
Jay-Z Covers TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential!
Jay-Z covers one of TIME’s seven “100 Most Influential People in the World” issue. Jay’s piece in the magazine was written by the Mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg.
Check out what the Mayor had to say:
Jay Z embodies so much of what makes New York New York. A kid from a tough neighborhood who grows up in public housing, overcomes lots of bad influences on the street, never lets go of his dream, makes it to the top — and then keeps going, pursuing new outlets for his creativity and ambition. When no one would sign him to a record contract, he created his own label and built a music empire — before going on to design clothing lines, open sports bars and, most recently, represent professional athletes. He’s an artist-entrepreneur who stands at the center of culture and commerce in 21st century America, and his influence stretches across races, religions and regions. He’s never forgotten his roots — “Empire State of Mind” was a love song to our city — and as a co-owner of the NBA Nets, he helped bring a major league sports team back to Brooklyn, not far from his old neighborhood. In nearly everything he’s tried, he’s found success. (He even put a ring on Beyoncé.) And in doing so, he’s proved that the American Dream is alive and well.

Gossip Game’s Ms.Drama Calls Cast Members Snakes, ‘I Am Queen & Will Be Respected’
Hands down, Candice “Ms.Drama” Williams, is making a name for herself on VH1’s latest reality show, ‘The Gossip Game’. Just into the third episode of the season, Ms. Drama, possibly staying true to her pen name, has been making a few enemies thus far. In an interesting twist, the Spelman alum’s recent blog for VH1 about the latest episode focuses on positivity, how she’s growing her brand, and the drama surrounding her cast mates. Peep the excerpts below.
The photo shoot in essence was my first test. I knew that going into the shoot there would likely be more people interested in seeing me fail then succeed, but if you never show up to take the test – then how can you expect to pass it and move forward?
Throughout this episode my focus and energy is on my business, my career and enhancing my brand. Yet, sadly there seems to be a constant shift towards the negativity – whether it’s from the girls or even El Racheto, who apparently can only use her words (however limited they are) when I am not around.
Nevertheless, I manage to press on through my photo shoot and into my revealing party where I naively invite snakes into my private affair. They slither in the back of me making faces; they squirm in the corner cackling at their lewd and offensive jokes, all this while I must play hostess to my special invited guests.
Fortunately, I can read between the lines, and I offer a thorough READING to those at the event who manage to slither in: “I am a Queen and I Shall Be Respected”.
Peep pics from her photo shoot below.
Gossip Game airs Monday nights on VH1 at 9 PM.
Lauryn Hill EVICTED For Not Paying Rent!
As she prepares for her sentencing next week for tax fraud, Lauryn's landlord is pissed she skipped out on paying rent last month.
Lauryn's been renting a mansion in South Orange, NJ since 2009. TMZ reports her landlord filed court documents demanding her to pay up or GET OUT! Apparently, she didn't come off any dollars, so the lawsuit for eviction is a GO. Right now, she's technically a squatter.
And if she gets sentenced to prison for tax fraud next week, she'll be moving out that house anyway and into the other big house.

Karrine Explains Relationship with Lil Wayne
Bad news for all of Lil Wayne's other bitches. Your relationship will always include Karrin Superhead Steffans...
Karrine writes on her Karrine and Co blog
People always ask me why I don't just leave him. He'll never be with me.
I'd never be with him. I'm married. He's everywhere.
He said this about me in that song and this song. Why am I still here?
Because no matter what we've done, no matter where we've been, no matter where we'll end up, we are connected by one thing and one thing only.
Unconditional love.
I depend on that love when someone breaks my heart. It is to him I run. And I know he depends on me and, when he does, I am there.
Never a question, never a denial.
I don't care where he's been and he cares nothing of where I was the second before I fall into his arms. I don't share in his world and he doesn't participate in mine. We create our own where only we live, love, and know.
And when I am broken into a million f**king pieces, it is he who makes me whole, who picks me up from the floor and reminds me he provides a greater love than that of any other man.
He never leaves me.
He never leaves me.
So, the world doesn't have to understand as long as I understand and he knows that there are no amount of miles, no amount of arguments, lovers, or lies that could make me turn my back on him or force him to walk away from me.
It's not easy.
It's not perfect.
It just is.
WHATEVER!
