AOL & VIBE Forge New Partnership To Syndicate Online Hip-Hop, Lifestyle Mag
AOL, formerly known America Online, is one of the major players in the online products and branding marketplace. Keeping in line with trends, the company launched its premium video content arm, AOL On Network, this past April, and has been looking to make a splash in the increasingly crowded social online video sphere. In a move that aims to bolster AOL On's content and attract a younger and diverse audience, the company signed a deal with Vibe Media to syndicate their Hip-Hop and lifestyle clips, according to an exclusive report from media business site TheWrap.
"This is an audience that is consuming content over mobile, desktop and multiple devices in a way we believe people will be consuming in the future," Frank Besteiro, head of business development at AOL Video, said in an interview with TheWrap. "We need to talk to them."
The partnership could be a lucrative move for all involved, especially since online video content has become increasingly popular over time. As part of the deal, the AOL On network will handle all the back-end technology that supports Vibe Media's video and content management system. AOL On will also handle ad sales and will share the revenue accordingly.
The company will inherit over 1,800 videos as part of the deal, potentially spreading content to a brand new audience for Vibe Media. Like many similar ventures, the space will be operated with the support of online advertisement.
Vibe Media, which backs music mag VIBE and lifestyle publication BlackBook, was formed at the top of the year after a deal made by parent company Vibe Holdings and InterMedia Partners combined the VIBE, Uptown and BlackBook magazine properties into the media company. Retired NBA great Earvin “Magic” Johnson serves as the chairman for Vibe Holdings.
Brooke Shields SMOKING WEED?
She once boasted that her mother's open-minded attitude had kept her away from drugs.
So it seemed an unlikely story when someone claimed they had an image of Brooke Shields smoking a 'marijuana pipe' and leaked on the internet.
The 47-year-old actress was purportedly snapped several decades ago inhaling from the implement while sitting on a couch with H.R, vocalist of hardcore punk band Bad Brains.
The image was leaked when a Twitter user shared the picture on Wednesday, and it immediately made headlines in news outlets including on RadarOnline.com.
Alongside the image David Hill wrote: 'Here is a photo of Brooke Shields smoking pot with H.R'
However, a spokesperson for the actress has vehemently denied that it is her.
Brooke would have been in her late teens or early twenties in the photo, with the singer sitting with his arm around her and his head thrown back in laughter as she takes a draw.
H.R, who is now 56-years-old, is a Rastafarian, and many who follow the religion sees the smoking of cannabis as a sacred rite.
The image would have flown in the face of claims she made in 2000, where she said her mother Teri's permissive attitude actually put her off the idea of using drugs.
The Blue Lagoon star said: 'I don't know if it's reverse psychology, but my mom would say, "You wanna do drugs? Fine. Do them. Just do me a favor. Let me do 'em with you.
'"I'll get you the best stuff. This way I know you're not going to die." And the whole thing was so unappealing to me."'
She also told Nylon that she was lucky she had such a level head.
Brooke said: 'A mom who offers you drugs? "I'm lucky I didn't grow up crazy./
'I don't know how I didn't become a statistic, because... at times you do feel like you're going a little nuts. And my mom was the Bohemian kind of wild child.'
The leak is more bad news for the Lipstick Jungle star, who was photographed looking a lurid orange when she attended an event at New York Fashion Week.
Brooke exhibited what looked like a tan gone wrong at the premiere of the documentary, Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel.
The orangy tan may have come out of a bottle, but Brooke's outfit was stunning.
She wore a black dress with cut out on one shoulder and a wide black bow on the other, pairing it with classic black heels and bracelets.
Brooke's long brown hair was loose and untidy, as if she hadn't had time to brush before rushing off to the airport.
The Blue Lagoon star will next appear in The Hot Flashes, which is still in pst production and has no release date set yet.
The film also stars Daryl Hannah and Virginia Madsen, and it's about a group of middle-aged Texas

Raekwon Baby Mama Homeless?

Futuristic Blogger always has the scoop and this time is no different as someone out in the Twitter world put him onto some very interesting news. Apparently, Raekwon of Wu Tang Clan recently tweeted that he was out eating at a restaurant where it was $500 a plate. Someone reached out to Futuristic Blogger to find out why Raekwon was out spending $500 on a plate of dinner while his baby mama was homeless and sleeping with her children in a car that got repo'd?!
So in an effort to find out exactly what was going on, Futuristic Blogger got Tabitha (Raekwon's baby mama) on the phone and asked her what the deal was. Tabitha explained that she has been homeless and has been sleeping in her car with her children until the car got repossessed. Tabitha goes on to talk about child support and how it was hard to even get Raekwon in the court. But don't take my word for it.

Not to mention the fact that Raekwon's daughter is 17 years old and this woman should've been receiving something financially in regards to support for the child. Live Nation Global Touring announced today that the Usher Euphoria Tour in Europe will be rescheduled until fall of 2013.
Due to professional and personal commitments Usher will have to reschedule his upcoming European tour dates. With the recently confirmed commitment to the Voice, to ensure that his fans world-wide are treated to the best possible concert experience, the entire tour will be rescheduled to fall 2013 with dates in both North America and Europe scheduled to run concurrently at that time.
Says Ursher Baby:
“The feeling of euphoria that I get when performing for you is indescribable. I love each and every one of you and thank you for being there every step of the way. I truly appreciate and am grateful for your support while I take this time to focus on my children and continue to evolve with my fans. Evolve or evaporate.”

The rescheduled Euphoria tour dates will be announced next year. Fans who have purchased tickets to the previously scheduled dates should return their ticket for refund at point of purchase. Tickets for the previously scheduled performances will not be valid at the rescheduled events.
Live Nation Global Touring wishes to apologize to any inconvenience to fans but look forward to seeing you all at the Euphoria tour next year.
