#MAGFAB: The Cookout Featuring Chef Kwame Onwuachi For Ebony Magazine

Kickin' Back At Chef Kwame's Cookout.
Across Black culture, cookouts are safe spaces to invite people in and gather around food and sharing. This is something award-winning chef and restaurateur Kwame Onwuachi knows inherently well as one of the most preeminent and visible culinary figures around. He sits with EBONY to dive into the necessity of food as a practice of community and lend his insight into what makes a cookout unique.
Chef: a professional cook, typically the chief cook in a restaurant or hotel. There are many iterations of the word, with some holding very high prestige. For those in the industry, like Chef Kwame Onwuachi, it can be argued that it’s an art form, often requiring an exceptional level of creativity beyond just the skill of whipping up a dish on the stove.

Historic scholars say it’s a term of French origin but across the diaspora, we know that—although they may have never been formally recognized—many of our ancestors were the blueprint for it. Sustaining entire generations from the very crops their hands picked and pulled, the culinary industry wouldn’t be where it is today without us.

And thankfully, we have folks like Onwuachi ready and willing to continue carrying the torch and telling those stories through our ancestral foodways.

“Delicious, exciting, unapologetically me,” Onwuachi tells me on the way to his EBONY July 2024 cover shoot when asked to describe his cooking style in just three words. And, honestly, they’re the perfect descriptors for this juncture of his career as well.

Serving as the brains behind one of the country’s hottest restaurants, Tatiana in New York City, the Nigerian-American chef is simply doing things his way and having fun in the process. At just 34 years old, he’s already managed to build a resume that rivals—if not exceeds—some of the world’s best. James Beard Foundation Rising Star Chef of the Year in 2019, Esquire’s Chef of the Year in 2019, Tatiana was named “The #1 Restaurant in New York City” by The New York Times in 2023 and 2024, not to mention it was a semifinalist for the James Beard Foundation’s Best New Restaurant Award in 2024. And that doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface.

“Authenticity makes receiving someone’s expressions a little bit easier. There’s a realness that’s associated with the things that I do, and it’s just unapologetically me,” Onwuachi shares from the car heading to the private shoot location in Brooklyn. “It has shaped my career in a way that I’m proud of everything I do. Good or bad perception-wise, I stand by it. I’m able to put my all into what I do because I’m not wavering on any minor or major detail.”

Even with running one of the nation’s most coveted spots and solidifying himself as one of the industry’s greats, the young entrepreneur isn’t letting up. Later this year he will open his newest concept, Dōgon by Kwame Onwuachi, along the capital’s revitalized Southwest waterfront of Salamander DCl. Many critics are calling it his comeback attempt in the District after things didn’t go as planned with a previous restaurant. But, according to the former Top Chef star, “How can it be a comeback story if I never left?”

Always moving with intentionality, Dōgon will not just be another upscale restaurant curated by Onwuachi. It’s also a nod to his homeland and the Black history deeply rooted in the very soil in which the concept will sit. From the contributions Black surveyor Benjamin Banneker made to the area and paying homage to Nigeria’s Dogon tribe, he’s gearing up to give us another lesson in storytelling through an expertly crafted menu.

“Without the west side, we wouldn’t even have a capital, or the capital would look very different. This is my way of telling that story while highlighting African-Caribbean cuisine through the lens of DC and DC’s culture.”

EBONY spoke further with Chef Kwame in which we delve into everything from his time in Nigeria as a youngster and how that shaped his career to the song that currently gets him in the zone before a busy day. Get to know the accomplished cuisinier a little better as we kick back at his cookout.

#RHOA: Kim Zolciak’s Daughter Brielle Sued Over Alleged Car Accident, Sources Deny She Was Involved
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak’s daughter Brielle Biermann was hit with a lawsuit over an alleged car accident, but sources close to the reality star claim she was not involved, In Touch can exclusively reveal.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Brielle, 27, was sued by a man named Phillip Gibson.
In the suit, Phillip claimed Brielle’s car cut in front of him to make a turn while driving in Georgia on July 5. “In order to avoid crashing into the defendant’s vehicle I had to run onto the roundabout center median, which caused significant damage to my left rear wheel and tire.”

Phillip’s lawsuit demanded $750 in damages.
Sources close to Brielle tell In Touch she hasn't been in Georgia since July 3.
The lawsuit comes as Brielle's mom, 46, faces various financial issues.
As In Touch previously reported, the court recently set a trial date in Kim’s messy divorce from Kroy Biermann.

The couple have been going back and forth in court since filing dueling divorce petitions in May 2023. They dismissed the cases after deciding to reconcile.
However, things didn’t work out and Kroy, 38, filed for divorce a second time in August 2023.
He demanded support from Kim. She fired back with her own support demands.

The couple have faced serious financial issues in the past year. They were hit with a massive lien by the IRS over a $1.1 million debt.
On top of that, the estranged couple have been hit with several lawsuits over unpaid loans and credit card debt.
‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Alum Kim Zolciak’s Daughter Brielle Sued Over Alleged Car Accident

At the moment, Kim and Kroy are desperately fighting Truist Bank from foreclosing on their seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom, 9,500 square foot mansion in Alpharetta, Georgia. The exes filed a lawsuit against the bank pleading for additional time to find a buyer.

Kim told the court the family would suffer, “immediate and irreparable injury in that to allow defendant to continue with the foreclosure would thwart the spirit and intention of the Order issued in the divorce case in order to preserve the marital estate.”
“I am writing this affidavit today with a sense of urgency and a sincere request for your understanding and assistance in a matter of great importance to mv family," she said.

Kim told the judge she “strongly" believes that "the proceeds from its sale can help alleviate our financial difficulties and secure a stable future for our children."
She added, "However, the impending threat of foreclosure is looming over us, and time is of the essence.”
The court has yet to make a decision on whether the foreclosure auction can proceed.

Kim has been busy working while the divorce remains ongoing. She recently filmed The Surreal Life where she was seen getting close with Chet Hanks.
Sources told TMZ the two did not hook up despite a trailer for the show seeming to suggest otherwise.

#NewMusic from Mayer Hawthorne ‘Love Goes’

Mayer Hawthorne gave us another banger with For All Time last October (and a release of the album’s instrumentals just last month). But if you know Mayer, you know the singer-songwriter isn’t content with leaving us hanging for long. He shows us that once again with the release of his latest single “Love Goes.”

“Love Goes” is a slinky number that has Mayer’s signature retro feel. It begins with a light touch on the production end. Drums, bass and the slightest twinkle of piano keys ease us into things as he sings of a situation that could unexpectedly blossom into a full-blown thing. But it’s when he takes us to the chorus that everything opens up to a fuller arrangement — including the addition of a full horn section.

Meanwhile, he speaks to the delight of an unforeseen love affair. “That’s the way love goes / Never crossed my mind / It’s funny how love grows / Hit me right on time,” he sings on the chorus. “Guess that’s the way love goes / Never saw the signs, but baby / Much to my surprise / It’s sitting right before my eyes.”

In the meantime Listen HERE to Love Goes!

#HipHopNews: Missy Elliott Makes History As “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly” Marks First Rap Song Beamed Into Space
NASA blasted Missy Elliott’s “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly” 158 million miles to Venus, the first rap song to be transmitted into deep space.
Missy Elliott has made history after NASA blasted one of her most iconic hits to Venus, marking the first time a rap song has been beamed into deep space.

Last Friday (July 12) NASA blasted Elliott’s 1997 Timbaland-produced hit “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” into space from its Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California. The song traveled about 158 million miles at the speed of light from Earth to Venus.
Elliott’s debut solo single took approximately 14 minutes to reach the planet, often dubbed Earth’s evil twin. The transmission was made via a massive 112-foot wide Deep Space Station 13 (DSS-13) radio dish antenna, nicknamed Venus.

Missy Elliott celebrated the astronomical accolade on social media, sharing her excitement over the honor.
“YOOO this is crazy! We just went #OutOfThisWorld with NASA and sent the FIRST hip hop song into space through the Deep Space Network,” she explained. “My song ‘The Rain’ has officially been transmitted all the way to Venus, the planet that symbolizes strength, beauty, and empowerment. The sky is not the limit, it’s just the beginning.”

Missy Elliott revealed that she chose Venus because of the qualities it represents. “I am so humbled to have the opportunity to share my art and my message with the universe!” she added.

NASA said in a statement, “Both space exploration and Missy Elliott’s art have been about pushing boundaries. Missy has a track record of infusing space-centric storytelling and futuristic visuals in her music videos, so the opportunity to collaborate on something out of this world is truly fitting.”
Missy Elliott follows in the footsteps of The Beatles. Their single “Across the Universe,” was the first song NASA beamed into deep space in 2008.

Ashanti And Nelly Celebrate Their Bundle Of Joy With A Love-Filled Baby Shower

Ashanti and Nelly are inching closer and closer to the arrival of their first child together, and to celebrate the anticipation, the couple hosted a baby shower full of family and friends over the weekend.
According to footage captured by attendees, the event took place at Oheka Castle in Huntington, N.Y., featuring oversized photos from the R&B star’s maternity shoot in the entrance.

In one video, the “Happy” singer can be seen making her grand entrance to Nelly’s “Ride With Me” while wearing a drapey white gown and her hair slicked back into a long ponytail. In more footage, Ashanti also cut a cake with “Baby Haynes” emblazed on it.
Just last month, Nelly hosted a private surprise baby shower for Ashanti at the Dolce & Gabbana children’s boutique in NYC, which her good friend Fat Joe attended.
Following the memorable event, the Terror Squad boss took to his Instagram to share a picture of him and his wife with the couple, with the caption: “Today we had a baby shower. I love you, my sister. I’m sooooooo happy for [you] guys. GOD IS GREAT.”

In another video, Nelly took to the mic to share with attendees how Fat Joe is partially responsible for reconnecting him with his longtime beau.
The two attended Fat Joe and Ja Rule’s Verzuz battle where Nelly could be seen giving Ashanti a hug, leaving many to say he wanted to re-spark their flame. However, at the time, Ashanti was dating someone else.

Speaking of the encounter, in 2021 Nelly told XONecole, “It wasn’t just like that. I said what up to everybody bro. I said what up to everybody… I didn’t want no uncomfortable feeling, nothing like that, everybody was celebrating. I just said what up, it was all good I just said what up to everybody… But they didn’t catch that. They zoomed right in. But it was cool.”

The couple announced their first pregnancy and engagement in April of this year, and privately got married in St. Louis — Nelly’s hometown.

Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, Kobe Bryant’s Father, Dies At 69 Following Massive Stroke
Joe “Jellybean” Bryant — retired NBA star and father of the late Lakers legend Kobe Bryant — has reportedly passed away at the age of 69 following a massive stroke, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The former 76ers player’s death comes four years after his son’s — who died in a tragic helicopter crash with his daughter Gianna.

“We are saddened to announce the passing of La Salle basketball great Joe Bryant. Joe played for the Explorers from 1973-75 and was a member of our coaching staff from 1993-96. He was a beloved member of the Explorer family and will be dearly missed,” the official X account of La Salle University Men’s Basketball stated.
Per reports, Bryant attended LaSalle in Philly for his collegiate career ahead of becoming a first-draft round pick in 1975 for the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors then traded him to the 76ers, where he played for four seasons until he joined the San Diego Clippers and Houston Rockets averaging 8.7 points and four rebounds a game. Following his stellar NBA career, he played internationally in Italy and France and even coached teams in Thailand and Japan.

Additionally, Bryant was an assistant and head coach for the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks from 2005-2007 and in 2011.

As reported, there seemed to be a strain on Joe and Kobe’s once-close relationship when his parents auctioned off various items of memorabilia from his career, including his championship ring and high school keepsakes.
“When u give Give GIVE and they take Take TAKE at wat point do u draw a line in the sand?” Kobe tweeted in 2013 with the hashtags “hurt beyond measure,” “gave me no warning,” and finally, “love?”

He also spoke with ESPN in 2016 where he stated, “Our relationship is sh*t. I say, ‘I’m going to buy you a very nice home,’ and the response is, ‘That’s not good enough?’ Then you’re selling my sh*t?”
His parents’ decision to cash in on his memorabilia almost resulted in a lawsuit as Kobe reportedly wasn’t aware about them auctioning off his things, nor did he give permission to sell his items.

The Bryants gave a public apology via ESPN following the auction, stating: “We regret our actions and statements related to the Kobe Bryant auction memorabilia. We apologize for any misunderstanding and unintended pain we have caused our son and appreciate the financial support he has provided over the years.”

According to Fox Sports, right before Kobe’s death, he and his parents were reportedly mending their tainted relationship, however it wasn’t made clear if it actually ever happened.

We send condolences to the family, friends and fans of Joe Bryant. May he Rest In Peace.

Irv Gotti Sued For Sexual Assault In Miami
Warning: The following article contains triggering language related to sexual assault, abuse, and rape.

Irv Gotti has been sued of sexual assault in Miami-Dade. The Miami New Times reports that a 54-year-old Jane Doe has accused the mogul of raping her on several occasions. The unnamed woman states that the incidents occurred from 2020 to 2022 in Saint Martin, Miami, and Atlanta.
Doe claims that she met the music exec in the summer of 2020. Gotti, né Irving Domingo Lorenzo, allegedly took her on vacation to Saint Martin, where he began to coerce her into having intercourse. The woman claimed that he gave her an ultimatum: have sex with him, or she would be sent home.

Shortly after the Saint Martin trip, Doe claims that the two became a couple and dated for two years. But the relationship allegedly gave way to “constant abuse,” with the woman stating that she would have to perform sexual acts on the mogul against her will.
Jane Doe recalled another incident from a Miami trip in January 2022. While staying at the Four Seasons hotel, Doe claims that Irv Gotti forced her to give him oral sex. A trip to Atlanta found Gotti allegedly forcing her to perform oral sex on him in an Uber. But “following [the Atlanta] event, the relationship ended,” the suit claimed.

Her legal documents obtained by the outlet stated that she suffered from “emotional and psychological harm” from these incidents. “As a result of this sexually abusive relationship, Plaintiff has suffered severe emotional and psychological harm for which she had to be committed to a psychiatric ward,” the lawsuit reads. “These injuries continue and affect Plaintiff to this day.”
“Due to his power and influence in the music world, she complied,” the suit states.

Additionally, Jane Doe accused Gotti of tarnishing the woman’s name as he spread lies to his “vast social network in and around Los Angeles.” The move allegedly has made her fearful to leave her home.

Irv Gotti has yet to comment on the allegations.

Janelle Monae Reenacts Michael Jackson's Controversial Balcony Moment With Baby Blanket In Berlin

Michael Jackson's legacy continues to live on more than a decade after his passing, not only through his music but also some of his iconic moments. Janelle Monae has recently reenacted the late singer's controversial moment with his baby son, during which he dangled then-nine-month-old Blanket a.k.a. Prince Michael Jackson II over his hotel balcony during his stay in Berlin.

In a video shared online, the "Make Me Feel" songstress wore a red shirt, similar to MJ's outfit, and carried an empty seat, seemingly in place of baby Blanket, as she walked toward an opened window in her room.
A white handkerchief was placed on top of the chair and Janelle momentarily dangled it over the balcony, before she quickly pulled it back, looking perplexed. She then returned briefly to throw the white handkerchief outside and waved to some imaginary fans.

It's not clear if Janelle was filming it at the same hotel where MJ dangled his baby son, but the actress has been traveling across Europe for " Music of the Spheres World Tour". She is scheduled to perform in Dusseldorf, Germany on July 20, 21 and 23.

TS Madison Apologizes After Being Called Out For Making Inappropriate Joke About Internet Comedian Not KarltonBanks
TS Madison is being dragged online over comments she made recently on her show about social media comedian Not KarltonBanks.
During her most recent episode of “PhagTawlk AfterDark,” Madison made a joke about the internet content creator being a “church sissy.” This sparked a wave of criticism online, with many accusing Madison of using vulgar language toward someone else within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Even Not KarltonBanks weighed in on the matter. In a now-deleted post on Instagram, he shared the clip of Madison making the joke and questioned why he was being subjected to such an insult.  After learning that her words may have been offensive, Madison contacted the internet personality and offered a private apology. She then took to social media to update fans that she was sincerely sorry and had made amends with Not KarltonBanks.

Kerry Washington misses ‘UnPrisoned’ premiere due to COVID-19
Kerry Washington missed the premiere of “UnPrisoned” second season after testing positive for COVID-19.
The 47-year-old actress stayed at home on Tuesday, July 16 instead of joining her co-stars on the red carpet in New York City after contracting the virus. She admitted she was green with envy, not being there to celebrate.

“Soooooooooo I have COVID and I won’t be able to make it to the @unprisonedhulu season 2 premiere tonight in NYC. I’m not sure what’s worse right now, being sick with COVID or being sick with FOMO [crying face emoji]. I love our Unprisoned family so much and I am INSANELY proud of and EXCITED about Season 2! I cannot believe I’m not there tonight to celebrate our amazing cast + crew! (sic)” sharing a make-up-free selfie, in which she covered her face with her hands, Kerry wrote on Instagram.

The former ‘Scandal’ star admitted she had cried about missing the screening but was planning a watch party for the show’s premiere on Wednesday, July 17 instead.
“But after shedding waaaay too many tears, I decided to gather everything I need for a legitimate watch party (except its cranberry juice because it’s very high in vit C!) and I guess I’ll be watching it on HULU tomorrow with YOU!

“YAY!!!!! I know you’re going to loooooooove it! XOXOXOX K #TryingToStayPositiveWhileWaitingToBeNegative,” she added.
The Hulu drama series centers around the relationship between Washington’s character Paige Alexander and her recently incarcerated father Edwin (Delroy Lindo).

Washington recently teased audiences can expect season two to show the relationship therapist confront her own intimacy issues in the aftermath of her viral TED talk from the season one finale.
“Paige is now dealing with the reality of trying to be who she wants to be, which was the thesis of her TED talk, because it’s easier to ‘talk the talk’ than ‘walk the walk’ sometimes. I think who you want to be can be a moving target,” she told People magazine.

Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian reveals he's been diagnosed with Lyme disease.

Alexis Ohanian has been diagnosed with Lyme disease. The 41-year-old entrepreneur – who is married to tennis legend Serena Williams and has Olympia, six, and 11-month-old Adira with her – took to social media on Tuesday, July 16, to reveal that he is suffering from the illness often caused by a bite from a tick.

“Doing a full battery of health scans, tests, etc, and found out I have Lyme disease. Wild. No symptoms, thankfully, but gonna treat. Good cholesterol is too low. Bad cholesterol is just OK. Gotta work on that. On the plus side: 822 ng/dL total + 162 ng/dL free testosterone” he wrote on X.

Ohanian also noted in a separate post that someone close to him had been diagnosed with the illness some time ago but, unlike Alexis, he had shown numerous symptoms although medics just couldn’t get to the bottom of what was wrong with him until a test was carried out.
“I’ve got a loved one who had it a few years back, showed tons of symptoms, etc and just couldn’t figure it out until they tested him for it and then found it (treated it successfully), too. I spend so little time in the wilderness/northeast this was quite a surprise.” he said.

Some of the symptoms of Lyme disease include fever, rash, facial paralysis, an irregular heartbeat, and arthritis. If not treated early, the infection can spread to the nervous system.

The Reddit founder concluded his post by letting his followers know that he would be embarking on a course of antibiotics as treatment for the illness – which, in recent years, has also been endured by A-Listers Avril Lavigne and Justin Bieber – before begging his followers to not consult him for any medical advice.

“Anyway, gonna grab some antibiotics — can’t keep me down, tick! Please talk to a doctor! Do not listen to me for any health advice,” he said.

Drake's Toronto mansion floods amid intense rainfall in Canada that left 167,000 customers without power
Rapper Drake shared a video of murky water flooding his Toronto mansion as heavy rains inundated parts of Canada on Tuesday and knocked out power for thousands of customers.
The "One Dance" singer shared a video on his Instagram story showing what appeared to be a vanity room and closet filled with brown muddy water. He then walked towards the hall, sloshing through the ankle-deep water.

He jokingly captioned his clip: “This better be Espresso Martini.”
Severe weather lashed New York state and Toronto on Tuesday.

Nearly four inches of rain fell in pockets across Toronto, home to three million people, prompting flooding on Tuesday.
The heavy storms left 167,000 customers without power at its peak, led to road closures, and resulted in more than 700 calls regarding basement flooding, the city said in a news release.

Toronto Pearson International Airport reported Tuesday as the fifth wettest day ever recorded at the airport with 3.8 inches of rain, smashing a new daily rainfall record.
Meanwhile first responders were busy, processing nearly 1,700 calls for service and dispatching to nearly 500 incidents between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday — including elevator rescue calls, water calls and rescues from cars and buildings due to the significant rain, Toronto Fire Services said on X.

Environment & Climate Change Canada, the nation’s department responsible for environmental programs, said Wednesday morning no significant rainfall is forecast for today, and flooding remains ongoing in various low-lying waterfront parks and on Toronto island, with water expected to recede in the coming days. As of Wednesday morning there were about 3,200 customers without power and crews were working to reopen roads.

In nearby New York, at least four tornadoes touched down overnight and one person died as hundreds of thousands were left without power. Gov. Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency across the state on Tuesday, noting that Central New York, Mohawk Valley and the Southern Tier had been hardest hit. More storms and heavy rain are forecast for New York Wednesday.

Drake’s home, which he calls “The Embassy” was designed by Canadian architectural and interior designer Ferris Rafauli
The 50,000 square feet fortress includes an NBA size indoor basketball court, a recording studio, an awards room, indoor swimming pool, modern Art Deco interiors, and a chandelier featuring more than 20,000 pieces of Swarovski crystal, according to an April 2020 Architectural Digest profile.

“Because I was building it in my hometown, I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years. I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel,” Drake told AD. “It will be one of the things I leave behind, so it had to be timeless and strong.

Tenacious D's Kyle Gass Dropped By His Agent Amid Backlash Over Donald Trump Shooting Joke

Tenacious D's Kyle Gass recently faced severe backlash and professional fallout following a controversial comment about the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. During a concert at the ICC Sydney Theatre in Australia, Gass, while making a birthday wish onstage, jested, "Don't miss Trump next time." The remark came just a day after Trump survived a shooting at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The immediate consequences were dire. Michael Greene, Gass' agent from Greene Talent, confirmed they had severed ties with the musician. This decision followed escalating criticism on social media where users labeled the comment "shameful," "deplorable," and "indefensible."

Jack Black, Gass's bandmate and partner in Tenacious D, expressed his dismay through an Instagram statement, revealing that all further creative plans and the band's Spicy Meatball tour had been halted. He stated, "I would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form."

Both members issued public apologies, with Gass acknowledging the remark was "highly inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake." He reiterated his stance against all forms of violence and deeply apologized for his "severe lack of judgement."

In wake of this incident, Tenacious D canceled several shows initially slated for the Australasia tour and their future engagements, like the Rock D Vote Tour in the U.S. swing states, remain uncertain.
Australian Senator Ralph Babet went as far as to demand the immediate deportation of the band members, emphasizing that anything less would be an endorsement of the attempted assassination of Trump.

Trump, now the Republican nominee for the upcoming presidential election, made his first public appearance after the incident at the GOP convention in Milwaukee. The former president, with his right ear bandaged, labeled the experience as "very surreal" and expressed gratitude for surviving what was deemed a miraculous escape by his physician.

Authorities continue to investigate the motive behind the shooting, perpetrated by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was subsequently killed by Secret Service snipers. The incident has prompted an ongoing debate about security and accountability in high-profile political events.

Jack Black and Kyle Gass formed Tenacious D in 1994 and have since been known for their comedic rock performances and creative ventures in music and television. This recent controversy, however, casts a shadow over their legacy, urging a reflection on the impact of words spoken in jest within politically charged climates.

Rachel Lindsay Ordered to Pay Estranged Husband Bryan Abasolo $13K Monthly
*Rachel Lindsay, former star of “The Bachelorette,” has been ordered to pay her ex-husband, Bryan Abasolo, $13,000 a month in alimony.
Lindsay previously offered Abasolo $10,000 a month, but he turned it down and requested $16,000 instead, InTouch reports.

Abosolo and Lindsay, 39, appeared on season 13 of “The Bachelorette” in 2017. They wed in 2020 and Abasolo filed for divorce earlier this year, seeking monthly spousal support. RadarOnline reported in May that Lindsay urged the court to seal specific sections of Bryan’s support motion.
Abasolo, a 44-year-old chiropractor, argued that he needed the financial support to move out of their shared home. Amid the divorce proceeding, he continued living with his ex at their home in Los Angeles, where Lindsay pays most of the bills.

According to Radar, Bryan declared in his court filing, “Neither of us wants to continue to live together.”
He added, “Our current living situation is very awkward and strained. We generally do not even talk to each other and try to avoid each other. Rachel has security cameras outside our home. Only Rachel has the credentials to the security cameras, and Rachel can monitor my comings and goings.”

“I want to move out of our family residence as soon as possible, but maintaining our standard of living is not financially feasible at this time,” he continued. “I placed my career as a chiropractor on hold to move twice for Rachel’s career. These moves were detrimental to my Chiropractic business, while Rachel’s income and success as a media personality skyrocketed.”

Amber Rose Faces Extreme Backlash from Republicans

This week, Amber Rose took to the stage at the Republican National Convention to endorse Donald Trump for president. This move has sparked significant backlash from within the Republican Party. The model and activist, known for her outspoken views, declared during her speech that “MAGAs are her people,” aligning herself with Trump’s supporters.

However, the reception to her endorsement has been far from universally positive. Many Republicans have expressed their displeasure online, criticizing both Amber Rose’s support for Trump and the decision to have her speak at the convention.

On Twitter, conservative commentator Jonny Root was among those who voiced their discontent, posting, “Amber Rose’s endorsement is a disgrace to the Republican Party and what we stand for”. Another notable reaction came from Acyn, who shared, “This is the face of our party now?” indicating a disillusionment with Rose’s appearance at the event.
Despite the criticism, Amber Rose remains steadfast in her support, doubling down on her remarks and engaging with detractors on social media. Her endorsement has certainly stirred the pot, reflecting the party’s deep divisions and varied perspectives regarding the 2024 presidential election.
