Jodie Turner-Smith Takes Control After a very public relationship and split, the actress is renegotiating how much of herself to share.

#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey’s Role In Season May Expand after Kenya's Departure
After a lengthy production hiatus and a major cast shakeup, production went underway this Spring. But in June, reports surfaced that longtime peach holder, Kenya Moore, was suspended indefinitely amid an investigation that followed after the allegedly unveiled controversial images of Season 16 newcomer Brittany Eady at an event.
Moore and the network reportedly parted ways and rumors have suggested she may be prepping a lawsuit. Love B. Scott reports the show is eyeing Phaedra Parks’ return.
The outlet states, “Everyone was hopeful that Phaedra’s contract would be negotiated in time for her to attend Cynthia Bailey’s event at Lake Bailey this past weekend, but they’re still trying to work out some details.”

The “Love & Laughter” show has been extended through December at the Chelsea inside The Cosmopolitan. After selling out Vegas box offices for months now, the Queen of Romantic Soul and King of Comedy are set to repeat the feat later this summer and into fall.

On Friday (July 12), TMZ reported that DaBaby had pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery stemming from his 2020 assault case. He was sentenced to one year of probation, in addition to time served. The rapper was ordered to pay $10,000 restitution and to stay 100 yards away from Gary Pager, the man who filed suit against DaBaby for allegedly punching him in the mouth and knocking out his tooth. DaBaby is also forbidden from possessing firearms and deadly weapons during this period.

According to court documents obtained by XXL back in 2021, Gary Page claimed in his lawsuit the assault happened because he attempted to stop DaBaby from shooting a music video on his rental property in Runyon Canyon, Calif. The North Carolina rapper had allegedly exceeded the guest limit of 12 people, which violated the terms of the lease and COVID-19 restrictions.
Pager attempted to shut down the shoot, and video shows he was shoved to the ground by a man believed to be DaBaby's associate Thankgod Awute. The latter was hit with a felony robbery charge.
Pager claims DaBaby got out of his car following the scuffle and chased him back into the home. He also alleges DaBaby advised him against calling the police before attacking him and leaving him with a bloodied mouth and a missing tooth. Kevin Hart Sex Tape Saga: Former Friend Files $12 Million Breach of Contract Lawsuit
Kevin Hart has been sued for millions of dollars by his former friend and actor Jonathan “JT” Jackson, who alleges the “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” actor violated a settlement agreement tied to Hart’s sex tape scandal.
The lawsuit, which names Hart, his company Hartbeat LLC and several others as defendants, claims Hart did not properly share an agreed-upon statement that declared Jackson’s innocence when Hart apologized over the sex tape scandal. The lawsuit also alleges that Hart and his legal team provided false evidence to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which led to the false extortion charges against Jackson and his arrest in April 2018.
“The facts in the complaint speak for themselves,” Jackson’s attorney, Daniel Reback, said in a statement. “We are confident that the lawsuit will end with Mr. Jackson’s complete victory and vindication.”
Representatives for Hart did not respond to a request for comment.
The scandal dates back to 2017, when an anonymous person allegedly told Hart’s then-pregnant wife, Eniko Parrish, that they had a sex tape of Hart and model Montia Sabbag. Hart apologized over the matter in an Instagram video, saying he made a “bad error in judgment” and that he would “not allow a person to have a financial gain off of my mistakes.” An Instagram account then asked Hart for $5 million so that they wouldn’t release the sex tape, according to a report from Rolling Stone.
Sabbag denied playing a role in the extortion plot.
Jackson was arrested in 2018 over accusations of trying to extort Hart over the sex tape, according to the lawsuit. Hart said at the time he was “hurt” and “lost for words and simply in complete disbelief at the moment” over the arrest.
But the charges against Jackson were later dropped, according to the lawsuit, and Jackson has since denied the allegations.
In December 2019, Hart, under his company Hartbeat, released a Netflix docuseries that accused Jackson of extortion and involvement in the sex tape’s creation, the lawsuit says.
Nearly two years later in July 2021, Jackson and Hart agreed on a settlement that would require Hart to share a statement that exonerated Jackson and cleared his name, per the suit. Hart was meant to say “all charges against JT Jackson have been dropped and he is not guilty and had nothing to do with it” as a way to help revive Jackson’s career, according to the lawsuit.
However, the complaint says, Hart “willfully deviated” from the agreed-upon language. In his statement, shared on Instagram in October 2021, Hart said that charges against Jackson were dropped, but he did not use the previously agreed-upon wordage, the lawsuit says.
“I can say I’m happy that that chapter of my life is over,” Hart said in his apology at the time. “I’m happy that we were able to put a period on that sentence, and I’m excited to get back to life as we once knew it. I want to get back to life as I once knew it and put that behind me, and move on.”
The lawsuit says that Hart’s statement caused “significant harm and irreparable damage” to Jackson’s career “by framing the exoneration more as a conclusion to a chapter in Hart’s own life rather than a clear and unequivocal exoneration” of Jackson.
“Despite the eventual dismissal of these charges, the harm inflicted upon Plaintiff’s reputation and career was profound,” the lawsuit says. “The public dissemination of accusations, fueled by Hart and amplified by the media, along with a concerted smear campaign, cast a long shadow over Plaintiff’s professional standing and personal life.”

Wiz Khalifa found himself in some trouble overseas. The 36-year-old rapper was charged with illegal drug possession after performing at the Beach, Please! Festival at the Black Sea Coast in Romania, Agence France Presse reports.
"During a performance at a music festival held in the resort of Costinesti, the accused was found to have possessed more than 18 grams of cannabis and to have consumed (on stage) another quantity in the form of a handmade cigarette," said the Romanian anti-organised crime prosecutors (DIICOT) in a statement on Sunday, per the AFP.
In Romania, cannabis is considered a “risk drug.” Possession of the substance can be punishable by up to ten years in prison.
Videos of the “Black and Yellow” rapper smoking onstage have circulated on social media as well as a separate clip of him being escorted from the venue by police.
“Last nights show was amazing. I didn’t mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up on stage,” Wiz wrote on his X account Sunday morning. “They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon. But without a big ass joint next time.”

After “Hill Street Blues,” Sikking went on to play Dr. David Howser, father of Doogie Howser (Neil Patrick Harris), on the ABC medical sitcom. He starred in all four seasons of “Doogie Howser, M.D.” from 1989 to 1993.

Judge dismisses classified documents case against Donald Trump
A federal judge on Monday dismissed the classified documents case against Donald Trump, a shock ruling that clears away one of the major legal challenges facing the former president.
In a 93-page ruling, District Judge Aileen Cannon said the appointment of special counsel Jack Smith violated the Constitution. She did not rule on whether Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents was proper or not.
“In the end, it seems the Executive’s growing comfort in appointing ‘regulatory’ special counsels in the more recent era has followed an ad hoc pattern with little judicial scrutiny,” Cannon wrote.
The ruling by Cannon, a judge Trump appointed in 2020, comes on the first day of the Republican National Convention and as the nation reels from the failed attempt on Trump’s life over the weekend. Even though a trial before the presidential election was considered highly unlikely, many legal experts had viewed the classified documents case as the strongest one of the four cases that were pending against the former president.
Trump on Truth Social said the dismissal “should be just the first step” as he called for the other cases facing him also to be dismissed, claiming that the charges were “political attacks.”
The White House referred requests for comment to the Justice Department. Smith’s office has not responded to a call for comment.
Smith had charged Trump last year with taking classified documents from the White House and resisting the government’s attempts to retrieve the materials. He pleaded not guilty.
In a separate criminal case brought by Smith against Trump in Washington, DC, the special counsel was pursuing federal charges stemming from Trump’s attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Trump also faces a state-level election subversion case in Georgia and he was convicted of state crimes in New York earlier this year for his role in a hush money payment scheme before the 2016 election.
Trump’s efforts to dismiss the case under the appointments clause was seen as a long shot, as several special counsels – even during his own presidential administration – were run the same way.
But the fringe argument gained steam when Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas threw his support behind the theory, writing in a footnote in the high court’s presidential immunity decision that there are “serious questions whether the Attorney General has violated that structure by creating an office of the Special Counsel that has not been established by law. Those questions must be answered before this prosecution can proceed.”
Still, Cannon held a hearing on the issue several weeks ago, pushing attorneys to explain exactly how Smith’s investigation into Trump was being funded. The judge’s questions were so pointed that special counsel attorney James Pearce argued that, even if Cannon were to throw out the case due to an appointments clause issue, the Justice Department was “prepared” to fund Smith’s cases through trial if necessary.
Cannon said in her order that the special counsel’s position “effectively usurps” Congress’ “important legislative authority” by giving it to the head of a department – DOJ, in this case – to appoint such an official.
“If the political branches wish to grant the Attorney General power to appoint Special Counsel Smith to investigate and prosecute this action with the full powers of a United States Attorney, there is a valid means by which to do so,” she wrote.
Could case be revived?
Cannon said in her ruling Monday that the Justice Department “could reallocate funds to finance the continued operation of Special Counsel Smith’s office,” but said it’s not yet clear whether a newly-brought case would pass legal muster.
“For more than 18 months, Special Counsel Smith’s investigation and prosecution has been financed by substantial funds drawn from the Treasury without statutory authorization, and to try to rewrite history at this point seems near impossible,” Cannon wrote. “The Court has difficulty seeing how a remedy short of dismissal would cure this substantial separation-of-powers violation, but the answers are not entirely self-evident, and the caselaw is not well developed.”
She noted in her ruling that Smith’s team “suggested” at a court hearing on the matter that they could restructure the office’s funding to satisfy her concerns.
