#RHOA: Kenya Moore Sounds Off on Her Boyfriend Roi’s Connection with Marlo Hampton
Marlo Hampton dropped a surprising tidbit about Kenya Moore’s love interest, Roi, on Episode 10 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 15: Not only did she know him, but they had even gone out on a date in the past.

Now Kenya’s responding. Hear what she had to say and get all the details on Marlo and Roi’s history below.
Marlo Hampton and Kenya Moore’s Boyfriend, Roi

Reflecting on the moment when Kenya introduced her castmates to Roi via FaceTime, Marlo said on Episode 10 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 15 After Show, filmed earlier this season, “When I saw his face, it was just like, that shocked me.”

Marlo then proceeded to tell the ladies that she and Roi had gone on a date after he apparently slid into her DMs. Drew Sidora said on the RHOA After Show that she saw this as Marlo “kinda being messy a little bit,” but Marlo insisted, “I didn’t even try to make it something major. I just told what it was.”

“I had the whole texts from however long ago,” Marlo explained. “[I] went to eat with him … [we] ate at the Mexican restaurant [and] both of us, in our G-wagons, parked next to each other.”

Telling her side of the story on the RHOA After Show, Kenya claimed that Roi “did not slide in her DMs.”
“They originally met in the restaurant — Marlo and a friend of his were in [Roi]’s restaurant — and that’s when he first met her,” Kenya explained. “And then, you know, they took a lunch, is what he calls it. And it was like, that wasn’t a damn date. And as soon as I heard, I was like, girl, that wasn’t a date. You did not get a steak. You did not get a callback. That was a meet and greet.”

“But if it had been a date,” Kenya added, “thank you, because you showed him you ain’t the one. So now I got him, so thank you for that.”

Shereé Whitfield had a lot to say on the matter because of the previous drama surrounding Shereé’s boyfriend, Martell Holt, allegedly DM’ing Kenya at one point in time. As Shereé told Marlo on the RHOA After Show, “What’s funny was you went on a date with him before and he was in your DMs, when they made such a huge deal about being in a DM.”

But when Marlo brought up her and Roi’s past, Shereé added, “They didn’t talk about that DM.”
“The double standard of it all,” she continued. “We can tear down or try to tear down [and] ambush somebody about a DM, but then here we are with a DM from a guy that you’re dating, and a date, and you don’t wanna acknowledge it.”

Kandi Burruss didn’t address the Martell drama and instead pointed out the differences between how Marlo and Kenya each met Roi. “Marlo says that he slid up in her DMs, right? And with Kenya, they were genuinely introduced by a mutual friend,” Kandi said. “So it wasn’t like he just so happened to be going after two women that are a part of the same TV show, you know what I mean?”

#HipHopNews: Ebro Darden Calls Out Drake For Never Saying Anything About Black Issues
Ebro Darden recently called out Drake for never saying anything about Black issues following Drake's diss toward Childish Gambino's song "This Is America" during his performance at the It's All a Blur Tour.

On July 12, Hot 97's Ebro Darden discussed how Drake never speaks up about Black issues while conversing with Nadeska Alexis and Lowkey on Apple Music's Rap Life Review series. In the clip, which can be seen below, the three hosts of the series spoke about Drake's shade toward Childish Gambino's 2018 single during Drizzy's set at the It's All a Blur Tour at Chicago's United Center. By the 19:23-mark of the video, Ebro Darden expressed that Drake has yet to take a stand for justice.

"Drake, who has never shown up, and y'all know I'm the biggest Drake fan on this show," Ebro Darden said in the video. "Drake has never shown up to have anything to say about anything going on in society with Black folks or anything other than himself."

The Rap Life Review hosts added that they don't expect Drake to speak on these important topics within the Black community because he hasn't done so in the past.

Lindsay Lohan And Husband 'Over The Moon In Love' After Welcoming Their First Child

Lindsay Lohan has given birth to her and her husband Bader Shammas' first child. The "Mean Girls" actress has had a son called Luai with her 36-year-old partner, her representative announced on Monday, July 17, after Lindsay revealed in March she was expecting. Her spokesperson said, "The family is over the moon in love."

Lindsay's baby was born in Dubai, where the couple lives, but his exact date of birth was not given. Luai is an Arabic name meaning "shield" or "protector".

Lindsay posted an image online of a baby onesie bearing the message "coming soon" to announce she was pregnant, adding on her Instagram at the time, "We are blessed and excited."

Among her famous pals to congratulate her over the news was actress Amanda Seyfried, 37, who said in the comments section of the post it was "wonderful news". Paris Hilton, 42, who recently became a mum, added, "Congratulations love! So happy for you Welcome to the Mommy Club!"

Lindsay told Interview magazine in November about her family plans, "I want to have kids," adding she had talked to Bader about whether they should keep living in Dubai once they became parents. She added, "It's so safe there, and the schools are great. It's so detached from everything that I'm used to… it's nice to have a separate world that’s my own."

The actress and Bader went public with their romance in February 2020 and in November that year the financier proposed, with Lindsay later showing off her engagement ring in a series of Instagram selfies. She captioned the photos, "My love. My life. My family. My future. @bader.shammas #love."

Sofia Vergara And Joe Manganiello Confirm 'Difficult Decision' To Divorce
Sofia Vergara and her husband Joe Manganiello are calling it quits after seven years of marriage. The "Modern Family" actress, 51, got married to 46-year-old Joe in a lavish, star-studded Palm Beach ceremony in November 2015 in front of 400 guests, but the couple have now said they have made the "difficult" decision to split.

"We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives," they said in a statement.

Sofia, who has a 31-year-old son named Manolo with first husband Joe Gonzalez, is currently celebrating her 51st birthday in Italy with friends, without Joe or her wedding ring, according to Page Six. A source told the outlet, "Sofia and Joe have been growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future."

The couple was last seen together last month in Hoboken, New Jersey, as Sofia visited actor Joe on the set of his new project "Nonnas". Sofia has since posted a string of sexy selfies online as she lives it up on her extended birthday bash.
One of her captions says, "When life gives u lemons u come to Italy to squeeze them."

Another source told Page Six, "At the start of Sofia's big birthday trip those close to her were explaining away Joe's absence with the excuse that he was busy filming back on the East Coast; that excuse barely held up due to the writers strike, but once the actor's strike took effect, he could have been on the first flight… and he quite clearly is not. So now no one out there with her is even attempting to pretend that it's not over. It's over. It's done."

Celebrity guests at the pair's wedding included Sofia's "Modern Family" co-stars Ariel Winter, Ed O'Neill, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Julie Bowen, Sarah Hyland, and Ty Burrell, as well as Joe's "True Blood" co-stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. Reese Witherspoon and Channing Tatum were also in attendance.

The pair met through the actress' former co-star Jesse Tyler at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner in 2014, when she was engaged to businessman Nick Loeb.

Manganiello asked for the actress' number a few weeks later when she split with Loeb. He told People magazine in 2020, "I knew pretty quickly that I could trust her, and she knew pretty quickly that she could trust me."

"And we're both the kind of people who are capable of putting the other person ahead of ourselves. I was capable of putting her wishes ahead of mine, whatever they were, and she was capable of doing the same. Once you have that, you don't let go of it."

Jay-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation Raises $20 Million at 20th Anniversary Gala in New York

The Shawn Carter Foundation, co-founded in 2003 by Jay-Z and his mother, Gloria Carter, hosted a black-tie gala in New York City on Friday (July 14), raising $20 million that will be used to help people facing socioeconomic hardships further their education at postsecondary institutions.

The fundraising included a $10 million legacy donation to the foundation from Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez. Jack Dorsey donated an additional $2 million as part of his annual contribution.

The organization’s Friday night gala at Pier Sixty celebrated the 20th anniversary of The Shawn Carter Foundation and welcomed a number of high-profile guests in music, sports, business and entertainment.

Jay-Z and Ms. Carter were of course in attendance, as was Beyoncé, who shared a series of photos from the evening on Instagram. See her first post featuring pictures of her dramatic gown here, and a video montage from the gala, which she hilariously set to the “My Husband” remix that went viral on TikTok. (“I am on to see my husband. I’m happy, I’m happy, to see my husband,” Beyoncé says in the audio clip.)

Guests included music artists DJ Khaled, Lil Uzi Vert, Meek Mill, Babyface, Miguel, Tinashe, A$AP Ferg and Saint Jhn. New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, and Fanatics founder Michael Rubin were also in attendance, as well as Regina Hall, Chazz Palminteri, Robinson Cano, Dez Bryant, Angie Martinez, Corey Gamble, Tamika Mallory, Zane Lowe, Ebro Darden and more.

Carter Foundation has provided college scholarships, study abroad opportunities, wealth building programs and more for underserved youth and families from disenfranchised communities.

Before the gala, The Shawn Carter Foundation and Robert Kraft’s Foundation to Combat Antisemitism announced a partnership and teamed up to contribute $1 million toward stopping nationwide book bans and protecting educational freedom. Fanatics and Live Nation contributed an additional $500,000 each to this initiative, which will provide book donations, legal support, marketing assistance, publishing help and additional resources to protect creatives and institutions harmed by the nationwide book ban.

Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez split after 2 years of marriage
Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez are going their separate ways after more than two years of marriage. The news comes one day after the 30-year-old singer attended the Wimbledon finals without her wedding ring.

A source tells People the couple separated earlier this year and "have been quietly and lovingly working on their friendship." TMZ reported Grande and Gomez have been separated since January.

The two wed in May 2021 and Grande posted a tribute to her husband on their anniversary two months ago. A rep for the superstar did not immediately respond to Yahoo Entertainment's request for comment.

On Sunday, Grande sat center court for Wimbledon with her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey. (Actor Andrew Garfield was flanked to her left.) The former Voice coach has been in the U.K. filming the highly anticipated movie adaptation of the hit musical. Fans were quick to notice Grande's lack of bling on her ring finger. TMZ quickly reported that the Grammy-winning singer and Dalton have "had marriage trouble of late" and hit a "rough patch" two months ago.

Gomez works as a luxury as director of the estates division for luxury real estate company Aaron Kirman Group. In April, the internet speculated he and Grande were on the rocks when he deactivated his Instagram account. However, the "Dangerous Woman" singer seemed to put those whispers to rest on their anniversary. On May 15, Grande shared a never-before-scene photo from their wedding day. "2 (3.5 together!) I love him so," she captioned an image on her Instagram story.

Grande and the real estate agent began dating in Jan. 2020. They quarantined together amid the COVID-19 pandemic and announced their engagement 11 months later. In May 2021, the pair wed in a super intimate ceremony at the pop star's home in Montecito, Calif.

Unlike Grande's previous high-profile relationships (Pete Davidson, Mac Miller, Big Sean) she very much remained under the radar with Gomez. That was intentional, according to insiders.

"Ariana doesn't want to do another public relationship so she is trying to keep this one quiet, but she seems very happy with Dalton," a source told People in 2020.

Throughout their three and a half years together, the pair never made an official public appearance as a couple. Aside from some rare social media posts, Gomez largely remained absent from her Instagram feed and out of sight to her 377 million Instagram followers.

This was Grande's first marriage. She was previously engaged to Pete Davidson, but the two did not make it to the altar.

DJ Kay Slay to receive his own street in NYC

On Sunday (June 16), DJ Kay Slay‘s brother, Kwame Grayson, took to Facebook to announce that the late hip hop legend will soon be honored with a street of his own. On Aug. 13, a naming ceremony will take place at East 105th Street and 1st Avenue and will be hosted by Papoose, Jarrod “General” Whitaker, and Ladi Kutz. 50 Cent, Remy Ma, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, Fat Joe, and more are listed as special invited guests. “The first from East River Projects to have an avenue named after him. Monumental,” Kwame stated.

Kay Slay — whose real name was Keith Grayson — transitioned in April 2022 at the age of 55. As previously reported the self-proclaimed Drama King died following a long battle with COVID-19, which landed him under medical care months prior. At the time, Kwame gave some insight into his private sibling’s hospital stint. “He didn’t tell anybody in the hospital who he was, and we was kinda getting average treatment,” he revealed. “When they found out who he was, that’s when everybody stepped up treatment.”

During a massive memorial in Harlem’s Apollo Theater, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five alum Melle Mel shared a powerful message in tribute to his fallen comrade. “He did that! Kay Slay, he did that! And he always kept me in the loop,” the pioneer told the packed audience. “But I didn’t know that he was the same as me until a couple of days ago. And the thing that I want to convey to y’all, after all that was said and done, and after all that’s going to be said and done about this great man, he put on a show. He had a job to do and he did his job. And what I’m asking y’all, did y’all have a good time? Did you enjoy the show?”

Vice President Kamala Harris honors Jesse L. Jackson at retirement in Chicago
Vice President Kamala Harris honored the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson at his retirement celebration at the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago on Sunday, July 16. After decades as a civil rights leader, two presidential runs in 1984 and 1988, Jackson, the founder of Rainbow PUSH,  has decided to step down as  the organization’s president. Jackson officially transferred leadership to the Rev. Frederick Haynes III of Friendship West Baptist Church in Dallas.

Rev. Jackson made it very clear that he will still be politically engaged. “I’m not retiring, I’m pivoting to teach young senators and preachers how to fight for social justice,” said Jackson.
Congressman Jonathan Jackson praised his father’s legacy in an emotional speech and also introduced the vice president to the audience.

“Today we celebrate one of America’s greatest patriots. One who deeply believes in the promise of our country. A fighter for freedom and human rights for all people. At the core of Rev’s work is the belief that the diversity of our nation is not a weakness or an afterthought but instead our greatest strength,” said Harris.

Harris followed her statement with a fiery chastisement of those on the right who are currently working to gut voting rights, limit abortion access, dismantle affirmative action, and oppose relief to thousands of Americans who are struggling to repay student loans.

Rev. Haynes emphasized that he is not filling Jackson’s shoes but standing on his shoulders to continue on a path of “changing the rules” when it comes to laws and policies that are unjust.

First Generation iPhone Sells for More Than $190,000 at Auction

A first-generation Apple iPhone has sold at auction for $190,372.80, nearly 400 times its original price.
According to CBS News, the unopened 4GB model was purchased after 28 bids on LCG Auctions on Sunday (July 16).

In its listing for the model, LGC auctions wrote that the original 4GB is consider a “holy grail” amongst iPhone collectors. “Its extreme scarcity is directly related to its limited production,” they added.

The starting bid was $10,000 and it was expected to sell for about $50,000-$100,000 since it’s “proven to be a popular high-end collectible.” Back in February, another iPhone from 2007 was sold for $63,356. The one that sold on Sunday was still in its original factory wrapping and has never been activated.

“The phone’s provenance is pristine as the consignor was part of the original engineering team at Apple when the iPhone first launched,” LGC Auctions wrote in the listing. “Collectors and investors would be hard pressed to find a superior example.”

A few months after its release in 2007, the original 4GB iPhone was discontinued because of lagging sales. Apple ultimately dropped the price by a third in order to encourage more people to purchase the device.

Jamie Foxx Held a Party to Celebrate His Recovery as He Continues with Outpatient Rehab
Jamie Foxx is celebrating the present as he continues to recover from his April medical emergency.
Three months after his daughter Corinne Foxx revealed that her dad had "experienced a medical complication," a source tells PEOPLE that the actor "has been working really hard these last couple of months to get back to normal and has greatly improved since he first got to the facility."

The source also reveals that Foxx, 55, recently had a party "to celebrate being better." It was held at the Chicago rehabilitation facility he has been going to, says the source.

"He is still doing some outpatient rehab though," they add.
Foxx suffered a medical complication on April 11 while filming the Netflix movie Back in Action in Atlanta. His daughter Corinne, 29, shared at the time that "due to quick action and great care," Foxx was "on his way to recovery" at that point.

A month later, Corinne gave an update, saying the Oscar winner "has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating."
Corinne added at the time as she thanked her dad's fans and followers for their support, "In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday."

Foxx was spotted doing just that last week, appearing in good spirits as he and a companion faced off in a doubles match against two opponents.
He was also recently spotted at Topgolf in the Naperville suburb of Chicago on the evening of July 8 and, the following day, cruising on a boat down the Chicago River.

On July 10, Foxx even bounded out of an SUV to return a woman's lost purse. That afternoon, Terri "Quenni" Glenn and her sisters were riding in a pedicab after leaving Chicago's Bean sculpture when they suddenly saw a black SUV driving behind them honking its horn, she told PEOPLE.

When the SUV pulled up next to them, the back door opened and Foxx emerged holding her bag, which she had placed on the floor of the open-air pedicab and apparently had fallen out through the side when the pedicab turned a corner, recalled Glenn, 54.
"I wanted to ask Jamie where he found the purse," she told PEOPLE with a laugh. "I didn't even know it fell out."
"I said, 'Jamie! Jamie!' " Glenn recalled. "I said, 'Are you feeling good?' and he said, 'I'm feeling good.' "

As he was getting back into the SUV, Glenn thanked him and he said, "You're welcome, baby," she remembered.

Viral Clip Showing Argument Over Splitting $4,600 Restaurant Bill Is Staged

A clip that recently went viral and spurred a larger, almost Curb Your Enthusiasm-like debate about restaurant payment etiquette has expectedly been determined to be staged.

You’ve likely seen the clip in question, which made its way from TikTok to Twitter by way of the typical prompt setup. The short video, which appears to have originally been shared by @viccgotti on TikTok, opens mid-argument as several diners explain their stance on the issue of splitting an alleged $4,600 bill at someone’s birthday get-together.

“I’m only paying for what’s on the check,” one person says at the beginning of the clip. “I’m not splitting the bill. That’s crazy.” Another person then chimes in, pointing out to those in favor of bill-splitting that they all ordered varyingly printed items such as lamb chop and steak.

“Look at what all they got and they talking about splitting the bill,” one person says, prompting a response in favor of splitting toward the end of the clip.

“We come together, we split the bill. Period,” another person says.
By Monday morning, the clip had been deemed “staged” by Twitter and Reddit. Moderators of the PublicFreakout subreddit removed the post, saying in a pinned comment that “staged videos are not allowed on this platform.”

On Twitter, the Reddit determination was echoed with a “Readers added context they thought people might want to know” label.

As for the key issue at the center of the staged clip and its ensuing discussion, the prospect of bill-splitting when going out as part of a large group is, more often than not, quite the polarizing subject. However, to avoid some truly Curb-esque developments in one’s personal life, broaching the topic before the check hits the table is certainly an option worth consideration.

Steph Curry wins Celebrity Golf Tournament
With a basketball résumé among the most accomplished in NBA history, Steph Curry went to work on his golfing CV over the weekend.
A walk-off eagle saw the Golden State Warriors icon win the American Century Championship in stunning fashion in Stateline, Nevada, on Sunday, becoming the first active professional athlete to win the celebrity tournament in 23 years.

Curry had lit up Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course with a sensational 152-yard hole-in-one on Saturday and repeated his celebration of whisking off his cap and sprinting away after his nerveless final putt secured him a two-point victory over former US tennis player and playing partner Mardy Fish.

Yet while his second-round ace had been marked by a charge down the fairway and a lap of the green, the 35-year-old toasted his winning eagle by heading straight for his wife Ayesha. “She knows how much I love this game,” Curry told reporters.

“It’s always on the TV. It doesn’t matter what tournament it is, I’m watching the game. I’m trying to soak up as much as I can.
“So as soon as I made it, I made the putt, I knew where she was, and I had to go straight to her because I appreciate the fact that – even on our vacation – she’ll let me play.”

Victory saw the four-time NBA champion clinch the $125,000 winner’s prize for topping a star-studded US celebrity field of more than 90 players.
Hollywood actors, comedians, and entertainers all featured, but it was athletes past and present who made up the majority of the field, ranging from current NFL stars Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Aaron Rodgers to golfing great Annika Sorenstam.

Curry had taken a three-point lead over Fish and NHL player Joe Pavelski into the third and final round of the event, which used the Modified Stableford format to award points by score per hole.

A final round 25 was enough to hold off Fish, who closed with 26, and see Curry join American NFL kicker Al Del Greco (2000) and Canadian NHL player Mario Lemieux (1998) as only the third active pro athlete to win the event.

Curry admitted that the tournament had been circled on his calendar ever since the Warriors’ hopes of an eighth franchise championship were ended by the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference semifinals in May.

“That was a lot of the motivation, not giving up hope that it would have to take till I was retired to be able to play more golf throughout the year to be ready for this,” Curry said.
“Even the last two months since we finished our playoff run till now, the preparation for this tournament has kind of always been the running joke, and it paid off.”

The two-time NBA MVP’s love for golf is well-documented, and in 2022, he launched the “Underrated Golf Tour” to provide a competitive, all-expenses paid opportunity for underrepresented young players.

For Curry, the fairways are his “therapy” away from the mania of the basketball season, yet the NBA’s all-time three-point scoring leader approaches golf with identical levels of focus.

At the first tee Sunday, the guard could be seen checking his pulse.
“I do that during timeouts in basketball … I wanted to get a check on where it was,” Curry admitted.

“I do a lot of breathing work during basketball games to control all of that and recover quicker. So I try to bring that philosophy out here because I’m a fish out of water out here on the course dealing with those emotions.

“It’s entirely different in a basketball game because it’s so reactive on the hardwood, but out here, you have to be able to control all of those thoughts and just seek positivity into yourself. Just tell yourself you’re built for this because you’ve been through other scenarios where you needed to perform and you live with the results.

“It’s not like you can will it in. You just live with the results.”

McDonald’s Announces A New Addition To Their Dessert Lineup: The Cookies And Crème Pie

McDonald’s has introduced a delightful new treat that will bring joy to both Oreo and pie lovers.
The cookies & crème pie is McDonald’s newest dessert innovation. This delectable treat combines chocolate sandwich cookie pieces, creamy vanilla crème filling, and a chocolate cookie crumb crust. According to McDonald’s USA, the handheld snack will be a regional item and will be available for a limited time starting Friday in select areas such as Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, and New York.

The announcement about the cookies & crème pie comes just days after McDonald’s revealed its decision to discontinue the McCafé Bakery line. The three items in that category, namely the Apple Fritter, Blueberry Muffin, and Cinnamon Roll, are scheduled to be removed from the menu later this month.

“But fans can still satisfy their sweet tooth with our iconic Chocolate Chip Cookies, Baked Apple Pie and frozen desserts at restaurants nationwide,” the spokesperson from the company said.
For those individuals who enjoy combining Oreos with soft-serve, McDonald’s will continue to offer its popular Oreo McFlurry. Furthermore, McDonald’s has also recently introduced new menu items to add some excitement. On Monday, they unveiled the cheesy jalapeño bacon quarter pounder, which adds a spicy twist to their lineup. Additionally, on Wednesday, the brand introduced the cheesy jalapeño sausage egg McMuffin to their breakfast menu in specific markets.
