#RHOA: Kenya Moore calls Drew Sidora’s business a ‘Ponzi scheme’

Kenya Moore slammed Drew Sidora’s weight loss program as a “Ponzi scheme” during Sunday’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

Shereé Whitfield, Marlo Hampton, and Moore gathered for a casual night in New York City when they began laughing about Sidora working out and teaching others how to work out despite getting a “mommy makeover” herself.

“That’s a fraud,” Whitfield, 52, told her co-stars, while adding in a confessional, “Bitch, you don’t even work out.”

The ladies attempted to get into Sidora’s Drop it with Drew website, but after a few clicks, it appeared the website crashed.

“Is it like a Ponzi scheme?” Moore, 51, asked. “I’m just trying to figure out what it is!”

Moore claimed that she was “just trying to figure out” what Drop it with Drew entailed.

Bravo

When Sidora, 37, joined the ladies, Hampton, 46, told her that the website “doesn’t work.” Sidora claimed that the website must’ve crashed, to which Hampton sarcastically responded, “Ohhh so many people!”

“I had a lot of health struggles, a lot of diagnoses, yes I did have a mommy makeover, but it was because I had so many things going on,” Sidora told the ladies as to why she had a tummy tuck, breast reduction and lift surgeries.

Sidora explained that she had a “mommy makeover,” because she “had so many things going on.”

Bravo

“So Drop it with Drew is just to maintain surgery?” Hampton clapped back.

Sidora denied that claim and went on to extensively explain her program, but it left many of the women more confused than ever.

“It’s giving Ponzi scheme,” Moore said in her confessional.

“Girl you know that ain’t nothing but a Facebook group – stop it,” Hampton added in hers.

“It’s giving Ponzi scheme,” Moore bluntly said in her confessional.

Bravo

Whitfield, Sanya Richards-Ross, and Kandi Burruss also remarked their confusion over the program in their confessionals.

“I think what’s happening is everybody is wondering if this is some legit stuff?” Burruss continued asking her.

Sidora then offered to show the ladies how much money she’s made from the program, but she couldn’t answer how much it costs to sign up for it

Hampton and Burruss encouraged Sidora to “keep it one hundred” with them, but Whitfield’s FaceTime with boyfriend Tyrone Gilliams distracted the ladies from Sidora attempting to further prove her business is legitimate.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.

#HipHopNews: Remy Ma Says Doja Cat Fans ‘Came For Her Life’ After Remy’s Comments About Doja Not Being Rapper

Remy Ma is admitting she felt the wrath of Doja Cat fans earlier this year after opining that the Planet Her rhymer is not a rapper.

On Thursday (Jun 2), Remy was interviewed by Black Compass Media pertaining to her upcoming moves and new female battle rap league Chrome 23. During the Zoom interview, Rem was asked if she was trying to work with the ever-popular Doja Cat.

“Don’t even bring her up. I thought I was giving [her] a compliment,” Remy Ma said of her soundbite about Doja that had Twitter talking. “Her whole entourage or fan base came for my life. I was like, ‘I thought I said something good.' I just woke up one morning like, 'What the fuck I did now? Like, damn.”

Back in March, Remy Ma appeared on the Drink Champs podcast, where she was asked her opinion on Doja. While giving the "Kiss Me More" rhymer props, Remy did not want to put Doja in the MC category.

"I don't think she's a rapper," Remy commented. "Let's be clear with that. I don't put her in the rapper category. I don't think she's a rapper, but she makes dope records. I think she's dope."

The quote sparked a debate on Twitter, with many people saying Remy was trippin'. "Remy ma can take several seats saying doja cat isn’t a rapper. that doesn’t even make sense," one person posted on Twitter.

Remy wasn't the first person to question Doja's rap credentials. Last year, Doja Cat fired back at people who said she wasn't a rapper during an interview with Rolling Stone.

"Anyone who says that I’m not a rapper is in denial," Doja said. "They don’t know what they’re talking about."

While she does move in and out of genres like most artists these days, in an interview last month, Doja said her next album would be predominantly rap. Doja Cat is the most nominated artist at the upcoming 2022 BET Awards, with six nominations for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Album of the Year, BET Her, Video of the Year and Best Collaboration.

Check out the entire interview with Remy Ma HERE. Fast-forward to the 46:42-mark to hear her discuss her

First Lady Jill Biden helps unveil postage stamp honoring The Late Nancy Reagan

Jill Biden on Monday praised Nancy Reagan as a first lady who “made such a difference,” as the current first lady hosted the unveiling of a new U.S. postage stamp honoring a woman who held the role 40 years before Biden stepped into it.

The issuance by the U.S. Postal Service of a forever first-class stamp bearing Nancy Reagan’s image is part of a yearlong commemoration of the former first lady’s centennial by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute.

At a White House ceremony, Biden talked about the “incredible platform” first ladies gain to serve the people after “we’re just sort of thrust into the national spotlight in a way that I know none of us could have anticipated.”

“First lady Nancy Reagan served the American people with grace,” Biden said. “She understood that the role of first lady came with inherent pitfalls and scrutiny, yet she found the humanity in it all. She knew the potential of this role.”

“Next month would have been her 101st birthday,” Biden continued. “And with this stamp we are affirming that she made such a difference.”

Nancy Reagan was born on July 6, 1921.

Fred Ryan, a White House aide to President Ronald Reagan, said the former first lady advocated for foster grandparents, championed the arts, and restored and remodeled parts of the White House. She is also remembered for her “Just Say No” anti-drug campaign, for undergoing a mastectomy after her breast cancer diagnosis during the Reagan presidency and a fierce devotion to her husband.

But the White House announcement last week of Monday’s event sparked angry commentary on social media by people who noted the Reagans’ indifference toward gays and lesbians and to the AIDS crisis that exploded during their time as president and first lady.

Other commentators expressed indignation that the White House under a Democratic president hosted the event at all, let alone during Pride Month, which celebrates LGBTQ people.

Jill Biden’s office did not respond to an emailed request for comment. Last week, President Joe Biden issued a Pride Month proclamation in which he said the rights of LGBTQI people currently are under “relentless attack” and sought to reassure them that “my administration sees you for who you are, deserving of dignity, respect and support.”

In her remarks, Jill Biden spoke of needing everyone’s help to “bring our communities together.”

“We have to learn from those we don’t understand, to reach across the divide and find common ground, because that’s where the foundation of our future must be laid,” she said.

Also participating in the unveiling were U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy and Anne Peterson, Nancy Reagan’s niece. Ryan also is chairman of the board of trustees of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute.

Nancy Reagan is the sixth first lady to appear on a U.S. postage stamp after Martha Washington, Dolley Madison, Abigail Adams, Eleanor Roosevelt and Lady Bird Johnson, DeJoy said.

The stamp is set to officially be issued on July 6 during a dedication at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, California, he said.

Nancy Reagan died in March 2016 at the age of 94.

Amanda Seales Responds to Being Left Off ‘The Real’ Finale Episode

Amanda Seales isn’t pleased with being left off the farewell episode of the talk show, The Real.

The actress took to Instagram on Saturday to respond to promotion of the finale, which didn’t include her. “So apparently The Real, in their finale episode, did promo,” she said in an Instagram video. “I am not featured in this thumbnail and I am not featured in the farewell episode, apparently. I’ll have some things to say about that.”

She also reacted to the news on Twitter, when a fan inquired as to why Seales wasn’t featured in the promo. “They can absolutely go duck themselves with a chainsaw for doing so,” Seales wrote.

The Insecure star joined The Real in 2020 for its sixth season, alongside a panel that starred Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and Tamera Mowry-Housley. However, Seales left five months later and revealed why: “It doesn’t feel good to my soul to be at a place where I can not speak to my people the way they need to be spoken to and where the people that are speaking to me in despairing ways are not being handled.”

The Real came to an end earlier this year after eight seasons, with Loni Love reportedly citing COVID-19 expenses—and to cap off the show, the producers announced a farewell episode.

Farewell, Fam. 💖 Thank you for the unforgettable memories.

Metro Boomin’s Mother Murdered by Husband

Metro Boomin‘s mother, Leslie Joanne Wayne, has reportedly been murdered.

Wayne was allegedly killed by her husband (not Metro Boomin’s biological father), who then died by suicide, according to TMZ. The identity of Wayne’s spouse has not been reported.

A rep for the hip-hop producer directed Billboard to TMZ’s report for details about the tragedy, which is said to have occurred Friday night (June 3) just outside of Atlanta.

TMZ says that an autopsy will be conducted to determine an official cause of death.

The outlet adds that Wayne raised her children in St. Louis, and encouraged Metro Boomin (real name Leland Tyler Wayne) to pursue his career in music.

Metro Boomin first appeared on the Billboard Artist 100 in 2017 and peaked at No. 4 on the list in October 2020. He has appeared on the Hot 100 chart 31 times, with two Top 10 hits in 2020: “Runnin” with 21 Savage (No. 9) and “Mr. Right Now” with 21 Savage featuring Drake (No. 10).

Artists reacted to the reports of his mother’s death on social media on Sunday, with Rae Sremmurd sending “prayers to Metro Boomin and his family” in a tweet and and Juicy J writing, “Prayers up for Metro Boomin.” “Prayers up for my brother @MetroBoomin,” Mike Will Made-It tweeted.

The Grammy winner shared photos from the event on Instagram on Saturday, June 4. In the snaps, she rocked a head-to-toe hot pink outfit. Her beau, on the other hand, opted to go with a black suit, pants and matching shoes.

Lizzo also unleashed a picture of her pink gloved hand over Wright's, flashing a glittering piece of bling on her ring finger. In the caption of the post, she boasted, "Ima boss a** b***h, b***h, b***h, b***h, b***h, b***h, b***h."

Steve Harvey Responds To Mo’Nique Calling Him A Coon, ‘Anyone Who Knows Me Can’t Even Make That Statement’

Steve Harvey adding his two cents to the ongoing feud between Mo’Nique and D.L. Hughley is the latest development to unfold in the incident.

Steve addressed being called a “coon” by the Baltimore native on his syndicated morning show on June 1.

“Let me just open by saying I could care less than a…about what you think about me because clearly, clearly, I’m not your problem,” he began. “And you know what? Anyone who knows me, who really knows me, can’t even make that statement. You’re trying to sound profound now? But really? Girl? Girl.”

The comedian added that he believed her management dropped the ball concerning Mo’Nique’s contract. And that she was not the headliner.

“Her management, whoever he is, simply stated, ‘I got this gig, you co-headline.’ I promise you that’s what was told. And that was incorrect information because D.L. put that contract online. He was 100 percent headlining. Co-headlining affects the money. If you’re co-headlining, you’re gonna get the same cash.”

Steve’s response isn’t the first time he’s added his two cents to an issue with the Queen of Comedy. Mo’Nique reminded him on his syndicated talk show that he didn’t have her back during the debacle with Lee Daniels, Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry.

“When you went on the air and said, ‘My sister burned too many bridges and there’s nothing I can do for her now,’ do you know how hurt I was,” she asked her “brother.”

Steve explained, “I felt you had done yourself a disservice by the way you chose to go about it,” Harvey said. “When you tell the truth, you have to deal with the repercussions of the truth. We Black out here. We can’t come out here and do it any kind of way we want to.”

During Mo’Nique’s segment at the KISS-FM Comedy Explosion in Detroit last month, the 54-year-old Academy Award winner recounted the advice that Steve and D.L. gave her regarding being blackballed by Hollywood’s Black elite.

She called the two men coons saying they told her to give the situation “to God.”

Mo’Nique admitted to taking the advice and then opting out of the high road after explaining that “God gave it right the f**k back.” She felt empowered to handle the situation herself.

Initially, the comedienne warned the Detroit audience, who clapped in support, that she was angry that D.L. said that if he didn’t close the show, he wouldn’t perform. She aired out the entire situation during a 10-minute monologue before delving into her actual routine.

“Let me break it down for you, Detroit, because I would feel like less than a woman if I didn’t tell you know– what the f**k was going on here on this stage right now. So, if my energy is a little different, it’s because they got me f**ked up,” Mo’Nique began.

“The contract said that a b*tch is the headliner. The headliner. Mo’Nique is the headliner. That’s what I signed the f**k up for. I’m 30 years in this business, and I don’t open for nobody. The contract said headliner, but a b*tch n***a named D.L. Hughley said ‘I won’t perform if she [headlines].’”

Those words spawned the contract debate.

Georgia teen allegedly threatens to kill sheriff over rapper Young Thug’s arrest

Teen accused of making threats against sheriff, his wife unless they release YSL rapper

A Georgia teen was charged with 23 counts of making terroristic threats after allegedly threatening to kill the Fulton County Sheriff for rapper Young Thug’s arrest as well as several arrests of members of the YSL organization.

Quartavius Mender, 18, was arrested on May 26 after allegedly making death threats on the Instagram posts of Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat, according to FOX 5.

The threats were made after Atlanta rapper Young Thug, Gunna, as well as 26 associates were arrested and charged with racketeering.

Officials said that Mender wrote that he was going to kill Labat, his wife, and Atlanta Public Schools Police Chief Ronald Applin if one of the defendants wasn’t released from custody.

“We take these kinds of brazen threats seriously,” Sheriff Labat said. “Social media cyberbullying, and hiding behind a keyboard will not protect someone from criminal prosecution. Our investigators are diligent in seeking individuals who mean to do harm to anybody, and I am grateful to them for ensuring the safety of myself, my wife, and all citizens of Fulton County.”

The charges filed against Mender are felonies. Young Thug is accused of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act as well as participation in a criminal street gang.

He was denied bond, as Fulton County Judge Ural Glanville said that he has concerns of the rapper being a danger to the community.

The rapper, who’s real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, is alleged by prosecutors to belong to a violent street gang called Young Slime Life.

Prosecutors say that the gang has committed crimes including murders, shootings, and carjackings

#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Scores $86 Million in Massive Second Weekend

“Top Gun: Maverick” has the box office sizzling… again.

In its second weekend of release, Tom Cruise’s all-American action film collected a sensational $86 million from 4,751 North American theaters. Those returns rank among the top 10 highest-grossing second weekends in domestic box office history. They also push “Top Gun: Maverick” to $291 million in North America, enough to overtake 2005’s “War of the Worlds” ($243 million) as Cruise’s highest-grossing film ever at the domestic box office.

Thanks to positive word of mouth, rapturous reviews and premium screens, ticket sales for “Top Gun: Maverick” dropped a scant 32% from its $160 million debut over the long Memorial Day holiday weekend. It’s the smallest second-weekend decline for a movie that opened to $100 million or more, according to Comscore. That’s an especially impressive benchmark — even for a well-reviewed movie — because blockbusters, like “Maverick,” tend to be front-loaded and drop at least 50% after opening weekend. By comparison, recent big-budget tentpoles “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and Marvel’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” each declined 67% in its sophomore outing, while Robert Pattinson’s “The Batman” fell 50% in its second weekend.

At the international box office, the Paramount and Skydance release has eclipsed $257 million, bringing its global tally to $548 million. Even by pre-pandemic standards, “Maverick” is flying high at the box office.

“It has never been more appropriate to say ‘the sky’s the limit’ for ‘Top Gun: Maverick,'” Paramount’s president of domestic distribution Chris Aronson wrote in a note to press.

Few films wanted to compete with “Maverick” for eyeballs, though director David Cronenberg’s body horror film “Crimes of the Future” opened in limited release. From Neon, the movie launched to a so-so $1.1 million from 773 theaters, translating to $1,423 per location. Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux and Kristen Stewart star in the gruesome “Crimes of the Future,” which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Without any new releases from major studios, “Top Gun: Maverick” enjoyed free rein over North American box office charts. Holdovers titles like the “Doctor Strange” sequel, “The Bob’s Burgers Movie,” “The Bad Guys” and “Downton Abby: A New Era” took spots two through five.

In second place, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” added $9.3 million from 2,430 venues between Friday and Sunday. After five weeks in theaters, the Marvel movie has earned an impressive $388.7 million domestically and a mighty $909.4 million globally. Without playing in China or Russia, which are two major international markets, “Doctor Strange 2” is the ninth-highest grossing title in Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe. It also stands as the highest grossing release of the year globally and second-biggest earner of the pandemic era.

Disney and 20th Century’s “The Bob’s Burgers Movie” remained in third place in its sophomore outing. Ticket sales declined 64% to $4.5 million from 3,425 cinemas, bringing its North American tally to $22.2 million.

At No. 4, Universal’s animated heist comedy “The Bad Guys” added $3.3 million from 2,872 locations in its seventh weekend of release. To date, the film has amassed $87 million domestically.

The “Downton Abbey” sequel rounded out the top five with $3 million from 3,471 theater. Since its launch, “Downton Abbey: A New Era” has grossed $34 million in North America. The follow-up to 2019’s “Downton Abbey” cost $40 million to produce, meaning the Focus Features release has ways to go before getting into the black.

Elsewhere, A24’s little-indie-that-could “Everything Everywhere All at Once” crossed $60 million domestically in its 11th weekend of release. On the same weekend it landed on home entertainment, the film expanded to 1,434 theaters and grossed $2 million, declining only 18% from the weekend prior. Per A24, the genre-bending “Everything Everywhere All at Once” is expected to surpass “Hereditary” ($80 million) to become A24’s highest grossing film worldwide. It’s already the studio’s highest-grossing film at the domestic box office, recently passing “Uncut Gems” ($50 million).

Disney Under Fire For Employee Interrupting Theme Park Marriage Proposal

A video showing a Disneyland Paris theme park marriage proposal being interrupted is drawing online condemnation for ruining a couple’s special moment.

Newsweek reports that the video, initially posted to Reddit and now gone viral, has been upvoted 85,000 times.

The man proposing marriage to his girlfriend reportedly asked permission from a park employee before mounting a platform in front of Cinderella’s Castle to pop the question. As he drops to his knee holding a ring box, a male employees runs into the scene, darts between the couple, and grabs the ring box. He then gets off the platform and gestures to the couple to complete their ceremony off the platform.

“We regret how this was handled,” a Disney spokesperson told Newsweek “We have apologized to the couple involved and offered to make it right.”

In 2018, a man sued the company for interrupting his proposal at Orlando’s Disney World. The lawsuit also accused an employee of physical harassment.

A request for comment to Disney corporate about both incidents was not immediately returned.

Kim Kardashian Lobbies For Temporary Prison Release Of Uvalde Victim’s Father

Kim Kardashian may not be a lawyer (yet), but she is using her celebrity power and passion for prison reform to help a family who lost their daughter in the Uvalde school shooting.

On Thursday, Kardashian took to social media to plead for the temporary release of Eli Torres so he can attend the funeral for his daughter, 10-year-old Eliahana “Ellie” Cruz Torres, who was one of the 21 victims in the tragic Uvalde school shooting.

Kardashian made the request on Twitter and her Instagram story, sharing a photo of Ellie and writing:

“This is Eliahana ‘Ellie’ Cruz Torres, 10 years old, and one of the 19 victims of the shooting in Uvalde, TX. Her family are desperately hoping that her father, who is incarcerated for a non violent drug offense, be granted temporary release so that he can attend her funeral. So far their requests have been denied. I ask the @officialFBOP to grant Eli Torres temporary release so that he can say his last goodbye to his baby girl. Every parent deserves that right.

According to the Kentucky Bureau of Prisons records, Eli, 45, is currently locked up in Pine Knot, Kentucky for a nonviolent drug offense and gang activity. He is not scheduled for release until 2033. As of Saturday, Kentucky State Representative Attica Scott tweeted that the Federal Bureau of Prisons has denied the request to allow Ellie’s father to attend her funeral.

Kardashian has become heavily involved with prison reform over the last several years as she works towards possibly earning a law degree and following in the footsteps of her late father, Robert Kardashian.

On May 24, 2022, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos fatally shot 19 students and 2 teachers, wounding seventeen other people at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, in one of the worst mass school shootings in history.

Here's what's in the 'Jack Harlow Meal' at KFC

Starting next week, you'll be able to order the "Jack Harlow Meal" at KFC, according to Louisville Business First.

The launch of the combo meal is the the latest collaboration between the Louisville-based brand and the Louisville-born, Grammy-nominated rapper.

Harlow recently spent time at KFC's Louisville headquarters tasting the entire menu to hand pick his meal, which is a mix of KFC classics and new fan favorite menu items: the KFC Spicy Chicken Sandwich, mac and cheese, Secret Recipe Fries, a side of ranch, and lemonade, all served in custom Jack Harlow x KFC packaging, according to a news release.

It will be available at KFC restaurants nationwide, via KFC.com and the KFC mobile app beginning Monday, June 6. The release didn't include any information about the price, but a regular KFC Chicken Sandwich combo with fries and a drink is $7.49.

"From releasing 'Come Home the Kids Miss You' and now launching my own meal at KFC, I'm having a super blessed summer," Harlow said in the release. "When KFC asked me to create my own meal, I knew it couldn't be just any meal. My meal brings together my childhood favorites from growing up in Louisville, the KFC Mac & Cheese, with my new go-to Spicy Chicken Sandwich (with plenty of ranch), Secret Recipe Fries, and lemonade — it doesn't get much better."

As a part of the meal's launch, Harlow and KFC have also teamed up to drop a line of co-branded merchandise that will be available for a limited time, while supplies last. Fans can download the KFC app and opt into push notifications to be the first to know when the merch line is available and for other exclusive Jack Harlow content.

"Jack has long been vocal about his passion for his home state of Kentucky, which is why this partnership is so finger lickin' good," said Nick Chavez, CMO of KFC U.S., in the release. "Jack Harlow fans, don't miss out on this meal handpicked by Jack himself."

The Jack Harlow Meal is being introduced to KFC customers in new commercials starring Harlow himself that feature his chart-topping hit song "Nail Tech."

"The great thing about this is Jack is Jack — his brand and KFC's brand are obviously autonomous," Wade said in the December interview. "I think what they bring together is a symbiotic relationship, as opposed to the brand sitting on Jack or Jack sitting on the brand."

“Many years before becoming an extraordinary mother, teacher and writer, her smile and expressive curiosity captured hearts everywhere and will continue to live on as a symbol for all babies, “ Gerber wrote.

A neighbor of Cook had entered a sketch she had done in a contest that Gerber held to find a face for a baby food advertising campaign. Dorothy Hope Smith had planned to finish the drawing if it won, but the company fell in love with it as it was submitted.

Former Wisconsin Judge Fatally Shot In Home, Alleged Suspect Had Hit List With Government Officials Names On It

A former judge was fatally shot in his Wisconsin home on Friday, and authorities say the suspected killer had a hit list that included other government officials.

Former Juneau County Circuit Court Judge John Roemer, 68, was shot and killed in the targeted attack. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the judge retired in 2017. The Wisconsin Justice Department said the killing stems from a case or cases.

Law enforcement responded to the New Lisbon home after someone called 911 and reported shots fired. The caller had escaped from the home and called from a nearby house.

The Juneau County Special Tactics and Response Team responded to the scene and attempted to negotiate with the suspect, a 56-year-old man. Inside, they found Roemer zip-tied to a chair, dead from a gunshot wound. The alleged shooter was located with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Investigators recovered a firearm at the scene.

Uhde had a list of government officials as targets, CNN reports. The list included Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

“This, as I mentioned before, does appear to be a targeted act, and the individual who is a suspect appears to have had other targets as well,” Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul said Friday. “It appears to be related to the judicial system.”

Kaul said that the other people listed as targets had been notified. He said there is no ongoing threat to the public. The shooting is still under investigation.
