#MAGFAB: Doja Cat Beams On The Cover Of Elle Magazine’s Women In Music June/July 2022 Issue

Doja Cat gets candid about her plans for the future once she finishes up her tour and next album in an interview with Elle Magazine.

Doja Cat’s unique personality shines through her photo on the cover of Elle Magazine. The Woman rapper rocks a pixie cut while peeking through a high fashion Duran Lantink red trench coat on the magazine’s Women in Music June/July 2022 Issue.

Doja Cat Talks Future Plans, Growing Up, and What Success Is to Her in Elle Magazine

If “I’m doing me” was a person, it would closely resemble Doja Cat. Her free-spirited aura and uncommon creativity have made her a favorite on the internet and in the music industry. In an exclusive interview with Elle Magazine, she talks candidly about a myriad of things, including her plans for the future once she finishes up her tour and next album. “I want to disappear for a little bit and just do things like wear slides and go to the farmers market. I don’t give a shit about vegetables, but how fun!”

Doja Cat talks low self-esteem growing up

Doja’s fans adore her quirky charisma and her funky way of dressing; however, Doja reminisced on a time during her school days when her style was frowned upon, which resulted in low self-esteem for the artist. “I never liked the way I looked. I didn’t feel like I fit in. I felt like I stuck out all the time, and I didn’t like it,” she says. “It was a strange time.”

The Grammy award-winning artist also discussed what to expect for her next album and why keeping it real with herself contributes to her success. “There’s no formula to win, but I think there’s a formula to lose. If you don’t believe in what you’re doing, people aren’t stupid—they’re going to pick up on that real quick. You just have to believe in yourself. It really sounds like some sh*t out of The SpongeBob Movie, but it’s true.”

#RHOA: Would Porsha Williams Return to Real Housewives of Atlanta? Kandi Burruss Says...

Could Porsha Williams' peach ever make a comeback?

Kandi Burruss is weighing in on her former The Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star possibly returning to the hit Bravo series and giving fans hope she might not be gone for good.

"There's always gonna be room for Porsha," Kandi exclusively told E! News at the Critics Choice Real TV Awards on June 12. "I honestly think she does think about it sometimes. She definitely said it to me that it does cross her mind. So I mean, I don't know. She can come back at any moment."

After 10 years on the show, Porsha left RHOA in September 2021, saying in a statement that it was "time to begin my next chapter" and calling the choice a "difficult decision."

Since her announcement, Porsha has been busy planning her wedding to fiancΓ© Simon Guobadia after the couple starred on their own Bravo spinoff Porsha's Family Matters, which aired in between RHOA's season 13 and the currently airing season 14.

Kandi said she's definitely kept in touch with Porsha and they've seen each other recently.

"We were just not too long ago at [co-star] Shamea [Morton]'s house," she shared. "We were there for her birthday and housewarming."

One RHOA alum Kandi isn't on such good terms with is Phaedra Parks, who recently made a shady dig at the show saying, "I'm yachting in Dubai. I'll leave the girls in Atlanta on the Titanic."

Kandi responded, telling E!, "I don't really have much to say about Phaedra. We're not on a show together anymore. We haven't been in a minute. So I just look at it like, I don't really get paid to care about what she thinks."

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

WNBA Star Brittney Griner Receives Another Pre-Trial Detention Extension In Russia, Will Remain Jailed For At Least 18 More Days

According to reports, Russian state media officials announced that the seven time WNBA All-Star will stay in police custody until at least the 2nd of July. Brittney Griner, 31, was detained at a Russian airport back in February os this year. The Phoenix Mercury player is charged with “large-scale transportation of drugs” for allegedly carrying hash-oil vape cartridges in her luggage. Hash oil, also known as cannabis oil, is illegal in Russia. Reportedly, the charge leaves Brittney facing a potential sentence of up to 10 years in prison.

Reports state the pre-trial date extension was issued at “the request of the investigation,” marking the second time Russian authorities have elongated the athlete’s arrest. Since her detainment approx. 117 days ago, concerns over Brittney’s well being and safety have continuously been raised. WNBA teams, NBA teams, and basketball stars alike have all rallied in support of Brittney’s release. Lebron James and the Boston Celtics, who are currently playing in the NBA finals, are the most recent to advocate on their fellow basketball player’s behalf.

On May 3rd of this year, U.S. officials reportedly labeled Brittney’s arrest in Russia as “wrongfully detained”, signifying that efforts to negotiate her release have begun. However, many have speculated that Brittney, along with other jailed Americans in Russia, may be used as pawns of war. The basketball center’s arrest came days before Russian launched an assault against the Ukraine. Brittney’s wife, Cherelle Griner, has publicly called on President Joe Biden to help secure her wife’s release. During an interview with GMA co-anchor Robin Roberts, she stated:

“I just keep hearing that, you know, he has the power. She’s a political pawn….So if they’re holding her because they want you to do something, then I want you to do it.”

Though relatives have been given minimal ability to contact Brittney, only via written letters, the U.S. State Department spokesperson stated that officers have visibly verified her safety. Spokesperson Ned Price stated:

“[Officers] found her continuing to do as well as could be expected under these exceedingly challenging circumstances.”

And continued, asserting that government officials are doing all they can to secure better access prior to Brittney’s release:

“Our message is a clear and simple one — we continue to insist that Russia allow consistent and timely consular access to all U.S. citizen detainees….One-off visits are not sufficient, and we will continue to call on Moscow to uphold its commitments under the Vienna Convention for consistent and timely access, as well.”

What are your thoughts on Brittney Griner’s extended detainment in Russia?

Florida Police Searching for 2 Men Who Allegedly Stole More Than 1,000 Gallons of Gas

Police are searching for two men suspected of stealing nearly 1,100 gallons of fuel from a gas station in Florida.

Fox 35 reports the St. Cloud Police Department responded to a Central Florida gas station on June 1 after 1,093 gallons of diesel fuel was reported stolen from the establishment.

According to police, the two suspects, described as Hispanic males, loaded the gas into a pair of Ford F250 trucks that included large tanks in the truck beds to carry all the fuel.

According to Ned Bowman, an executive director at Florida Petroleum Marketers, officials believe that rising gas prices are leading to theft rings in Florida.

Texas Gas Station Manager Says Thieves With ‘Trap Door’ Stole Over 1,000 Gallons of Diesel Fuel

Prices for gas at an Exxon gas station on Capitol Hill

More Reports of Gas Being Stolen Through Drilling Holes Are Coming in Across the Country as Prices Hit Record Highs

“They’re just stealing right out of the tanks,” Bowman told the New York Post. “That’s what we’re dealing with. We break up one ring and another one comes up.”

The news arrives three months after thieves stole more than 1,000 gallons of diesel from a family-owned gas station in Texas.

Meanwhile, back in March, four Florida men were arrested for installing a device on gas pumps that would slash the prices of fuel. The alleged thefts took place at a Circle K in Lutz and a Circle K in Lakeland.

Bowman previously explained to reporters how the devices work. “They go in and they change the pulsator. The pulsator is the device that is inside the gas pump that regulates the flow of the fuel,” he said. “So they’re able to change the price of the fuel down to a nickel or a penny to the gallon and fill the back of their trucks up—their bladders or spare tanks—with fuel that’s basically free.”

Britney Spears Reportedly Fired Her Security Team After Her Ex-Husband Crashed Her Wedding

Last week was supposed to be a jovial time for Britney Spears. It was announced that she would marry Sam Asghari, her partner of almost five years, on Thursday which comes nine months after he proposed to her. Prior to last week, there was little to no information about the wedding, but with appearances from Madonna, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, Donatella Versace, and more attending as guests, it was clear that things were kept under wraps for quite some time. Unfortunately, the celebratory day was briefly interrupted when Britney’s ex-husband Jason Alexander (not to be confused with the Seinfield actor) crashed her wedding — armed with a knife — in a frantic search for the singer.

Alexander livestreamed the entire ordeal, but his search later proved to be unsuccessful as he was eventually apprehended by the singer’s security team. Ventura County Sheriffs were eventually contacted and Alexander was arrested and removed from the venue. Now, according to TMZ, Britney has reportedly fired her security team. The publication reports that sources close to Spears say that a new security team has already been hired as the old group was let go not too long after her wedding was crashed.

After the incident, Alexander was charged with trespassing, vandalism, and two counts of battery connected to his interactions with Spears’ security team. Spears also received an emergency restraining order against him as well.

Tyler Perry says Will Smith was "devastated" following Oscars slap

It’s been nearly three months since the infamous Will Smith Oscars slap, yet more details surrounding the event continue to unfold. This time, Tyler Perry is sharing what took place after the incident.

As he reflected on what happened,  the 52-year-old said that Smith was in disbelief about what took place. Perry also cleared up rumors that he comforted the actor following the slap.

“There’s a difference between comforting and deescalating, that’s number one,” he explained. “And I left early to get to Chris to make sure he was okay. Being friends with both of them has been very difficult.”

Additionally, the Madea creator confirmed that he told Smith that his actions were “wrong in no uncertain terms.”

“And I’ll tell you, when we walked over to him, he was devastated. He couldn’t believe what happened. He couldn’t believe he did it,” Perry recalled. “I’m looking at this man in his eyes going, ‘What are you doing? This is your night.’ And to get all the way to this moment, winning an Oscar, that was one of the crowning moments of his career that he wanted so desperately, and to have something like that happen…”

Perry isn’t the only celebrity who has spoken out since the 2022 Oscars. Everyone from Vivica A. Fox to Wanda Sykes and even Jada Pinkett Smith have used their platforms to address what happened. Smith also shared his sentiments afterwards. In a statement shared to social media, he called his own behavior “unacceptable and inexcusable.”

According to the renowned entertainer, the Men in Black actor is in a period of healing and deep self-reflection.

“I think he is very much in reflection of trying to figure out what happened,” Perry continued. “Because what I’ll tell you is I just read his book, and there’s this moment about not being able to protect his mother [as a child]. I know that feeling — I’m getting chills just thinking about it. I know that feeling of being a man and thinking about the little boy. And if that trauma is not dealt with right away, as you get older it will show up in the most inappropriate, most horrible time. I know Will. I know him well.”

The Final Episode Of "The Wendy Williams Show" Is Airing This Week

“The Wendy Williams Show” has been airing all season this year without its original host, and this week, it will officially share its final episode. The daytime talk show has been playing on television screens all across the United States for 13 seasons as one of the biggest hits in talk show history. It is coming to a grand closing as a result of Wendy Williams’ ongoing battle with health-related issues.

“The final original episode of ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ will air on Friday, June 17, with a video tribute to the iconic host. The series comes to an end after 13 successful years in syndication,” a spokesperson for the show says in a statement to Variety.

When the news about Williams taking a hiatus initially surfaced online back in February, Williams’ spokesperson, Howard Bragman, released an official statement hinting that she could still return sometime in the future. “It’s been a challenging time for Wendy as she deals with her health issues. She is incredibly grateful to [producer-distributor] Debmar-Mercury, to Sherri and everybody else who has supported the show through this time,” Bragman said.

“She, more than anyone, understands the reality of syndicated television — you can’t go to the marketplace and sell a show that’s ‘The Maybe Wendy Show,’” he continued. “She understands why this decision was made from a business point of view, and she has been assured by Debmar-Mercury that should her health get to a point where she can host again and should her desire be that she hosts again that she would be back on TV at that time.”

Sherri Shepherd will host the final episode this Friday. This fall, she will be launching her own nationally syndicated talk show, titled “Sherri,” which will takeover the time slots currently occupied by “The Wendy Williams Show” on the Fox owned-and-operated stations.

Tom Hanks Looks Back On 'Philadelphia' & Says He Wouldn't Take The Role of a Gay Man Today

While discussing the movie that made him an Oscar winner, Tom said that if that movie were made today, he couldn’t play the role.

“Let’s address ‘could a straight man do what I did in Philadelphia now?’” he pointed out during his interview. “No, and rightly so.”

Tom continued, “The whole point of Philadelphia was don’t be afraid. One of the reasons people weren’t afraid of that movie is that I was playing a gay man. We’re beyond that now, and I don’t think people would accept the inauthenticity of a straight guy playing a gay guy.”

“It’s not a crime, it’s not boohoo,” he added, “that someone would say we are going to demand more of a movie in the modern realm of authenticity.”

Many other stars, like Neil Patrick Harris and Benedict Cumberbatch have also talked about the debate of who should get to play gay roles.

Tom‘s new movie, Elvis, will hit theaters on June 24.

GA Republican US Senate Candidate Herschel Walker Has A Secret Second Son

The Daily Beast reports: For years, former football star turned Republican senatorial candidate Herschel Walker has expressed an enormous pride and love for his adult son, while taking a principled stand against fatherless households and deadbeat dads—specifically in the Black community.

Walker—who co-parented his 22-year-old son, Christian with both his ex-wife and current wife—told right-wing internet personalities Diamond and Silk that if you have “a child with a woman, even if you have to leave that woman… you don’t leave the child.”

What Walker hasn’t publicly acknowledged is that he has a second son, who has apparently been estranged from his biological father since his birth a decade ago.

Dame Dash Reaches Settlement with Roc-A-Fella, Not Allowed to Sell Jay-Z’s ‘Reasonable Doubt’ as NFT

Rock-A-Fella and Dame Dash have reached an agreement, which has denied him the authority to sell Jay-Z’s ‘Reasonable Doubt’ as NFT.

Court documents read that Dash is prohibited from selling Jay-Z’s 1996 debut album as an NFT, as Roc-A-Fella still owns all rights to the LP.

“Unless duly authorized by RAF, Inc., no shareholder or member of RAF, Inc. may alter in any way, sell, assign, pledge, encumber, contract with regard to, or in any way dispose of any property interest in Reasonable Doubt, including its copyright and including through any means such as auctioning a non-fungible token reflecting, referring, or directing to such interest,” the legal docs state.

Under the parties’ agreement, Dash is allowed to sell his one-third ownership stake in Roc-A-Fella. However, he is not allowed “in any way dispose of any property interest in Reasonable Doubt.”

“Nothing in this Judgment shall prevent any shareholder or member of RAF, Inc. from selling, assigning, pledging, encumbering, contracting with regard to, or in any way disposing of their one-third (1/3rd) ownership interest in RAF, Inc.,” the agreement details.

The news comes nearly a year after Roc-A-Fella filed a lawsuit against Dash alleging he attempted to mint and sell the Reasonable Doubt album as a non-fungible token. Roc-A-Fella also claimed he intended to sell the NFT in a canceled auction.

“The sale of this irreplaceable asset must be stopped before it is too late, and Dash must be held accountable for his theft,” the June 2021 lawsuit read. “The bottom line is simple: Dash can’t sell what he doesn’t own.”

Days after news of the lawsuit broke, Dash told TMZ that the label’s lawsuit was inaccurate and that he was not trying to sell Jay-Z’s album but only his share of Roc-A-Fella.

Dash also claimed that in March of last year, Jay-Z attempted to buy his one-third share of Roc-A-Fella at “a price I deemed unacceptable.”

“Under the terms of the deal with a potential buyer, the buyer would buy my share of Roc a Fella Records, and Jay-Z will have exclusive administration rights,” Dash added.

In March, Jay’s attorney Alex Spiro filed a court document in Manhattan federal court saying both sides were “in the process of meeting and conferring to determine whether they can reach a settlement agreement that would resolve this case.”

But Dame went on Instagram to dispute those claims.

“Please don’t believe this hype we are no where near a settlement,” he wrote. “They accused me of doing something i did not do and now they have to prove it…and i can sell my share anytime I want #askthejudge and #jayz and @biggsburke if you wanna settle this holla at me…we use to hustle together…court is corny…let’s talk like men for the culture…I dare y’all to respond #doitfortheculture.”

Trick Daddy Goes in on Florida Gov. DeSantis, Says He’s Ruining the State

Trick Daddy is letting people know he has issues with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Trick says the governor is to blame for the state’s myriad financial problems and even called DeSantis a “white bigot.”

Notably, although displeased by the governor, he did call out people for not voting.

The rapper recently appeared as a guest on “It’s Tricky with Raquel Harper” and ripped into Gov. DeSantis when asked what life is like these days in the Sunshine State.

Trick Daddy says he feels for all those seeing their rents being raised by hundreds of dollars and blames the Republican governor for it.

And higher rent prices aren’t the only thing that has Trick Daddy upset, he also went after the Governor for the state’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill and super strict abortion laws.

Trick Daddy believes DeSantis, who is also a prospective Republican candidate for president, is targeting all types of people and their ways of life with “racist and biased” legislation.

As for his critique about DeSantis being “from another country, ” it’s assumed the “I’m a Thug” rapper is referring to the fact DeSantis’s ancestors were Italian immigrants in the early 20th century.

“It’s Tricky with Raquel Harper” is available on Apple, Spotify, and Google.
