#FASHIONFILES: Louis Vuitton Men's FW 2021!
Whatever your opinion of Louis Vuitton Men’s artistic director Virgil Abloh, he is moving into his own zone of excellence — at least in the eyes of Bernard Arnault and the LVMH family.
Given the realities of business life, AOC reminds the naysayers of this simple reality check: “That’s all that counts.” Not only is LVMH thrilled with Virgil Abloh’s artistic and financial performance at Louis Vuitton Mens, but they are dramatically expanding his role and influence within the entire LVMH family of brands.
The month of July was intense for the Rockford, Illinois-born Abloh who is an artist, architect, entrepreneur, designer and DJ who — in the words of NYTimes woman-in-the-know Vanessa Friedman — is on track to “become the most powerful Black executive at the most powerful luxury goods group in the world.”
It’s true that Virgil Abloh is about “rewriting the rules”, and we love that this reality permeates most of what the hyper-creative visionary does with his time each day.
For the Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall 2021 Campaign, Abloh enlists his trusted creative partner, fashion photographer Tim Walker to play a fashion game of chess.
“By taking archetypes such as the writer, the artist, the drifter, the salesman, the hotelier, the gallery owner, the architect, or the student, the collection explores the dress codes that inform our predetermined perceptions of these familiar characters. Virgil Abloh imbues the grammar of these codes with different values and employs fashion as a tool to change those assumptions. Throughout the collection, garments, accessories, motifs and techniques play on themes of illusion, replicating the familiar through the deceptive lenses of trompe l’oeil and filtrage. Leather goods are interpreted through the classic shapes of Louis Vuitton and enriched with added wording, shiny silver, or tuffetage embroidery.” – from Louis Vuitton
Dileepkumar as players on the chess board in a game of power and assumptions about rogues (sorry rooks), knights, pawns, serfs (sorry, there are no serfs in the game of chess ), bishops (they run everything in America but — thankfully — not France), a king and queen — who think they rule everything in the land.
A little army of fashion lieutenants organizes the splendid vision pouring out of Abloh’s Black-man mind in the fall 2021 campaign, and they include creative direction from Helena Balladino, Piergiorgio Del Moro, and Samuel Ellis Scheinman, and set design by Gary Card. As Hillary always said: “It takes a village.”
In July LVMH announced that it was acquiring a 60 percent stake in Off-White, the luxury streetwear brand founded in 2013 and designed by Abloh, in addition to his responsibilities at LVMH Men. Off-White has 56 stores globally in 40 countries and is the largest brand LVMH has invested in, as part of its practice of supporting the personal brands of its designers.
In addition, the Chicago-based visionary will assume expanding responsibilities across the LVMH stable of Wine and Spirits brands that include Krug, Dom PΓ©rignon and Hennessy; and Hospitality, which includes Cipriani in Venice and luxury properties across Africa.
Savage X Fenty, Valued at $1 Billion, Is Poised To Rival Victoria's Secret and Win AOC Living (Note that while LVMH’s Fenty collab with Rihanna is on hold, the Arnaud family is a major backer in Savage X Fenty through L Catterton.)
By elevating Virgil Abloh, the Arnault family is trying to kick its own organization out of its comfort zone — not only with a paradigm-changing vision around race and culture, but also by giving Abloh an equity stake in new ventures.
“We try to make the founders turn over in their graves, but in the best way,” Michael Burke, Louis Vuitton CEO told Friedman. “Some of our biggest brands have a tendency not to see it’s in their best interests to stay plugged into the contemporary world.”
#RHOA: ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Introduces Season 14 Cast!
With production on Season 14 on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” officially starting, Variety can reveal the cast list — as of Monday morning, the deals have all closed. Season 13’s Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore and Drew Sidora are returning; once and future “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member ShereΓ© Whitfield is coming back; and Marlo Hampton, a longtime “friend” of the “RHOA” ladies, has finally gotten her peach to become an official member of the cast. Additionally, track star Sanya Richards-Ross — a four-time Olympic Gold medalist — has joined the group full-time. Richards-Ross may be new to “RHOA,” but she isn’t a stranger to reality TV: “Sanya’s Glam and Gold,” about her family and marriage to former NFL cornerback Aaron Ross, ran for one season on We TV in 2013.
We already knew who was leaving “RHOA,” since both Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey announced their departures from the Bravo show last month. Bailey said later that she’d been offered a “friend” role, rather than being in the main cast, and decided it was her time to leave. Williams’ departure was the rare “Real Housewives” instance — spotted in the wild! — of a cast member voluntarily quitting, though she won’t be leaving Bravo behind: She’s starring in an upcoming spinoff based on her family, and remains a co-host of “Bravo’s Chat Room.”
The departures of Williams and Bailey, the casting of Richards-Ross, Hampton becoming a full-time cast member, and the return of Whitfield and were reported by lovebscott.com last month.
Variety has also learned that none of the “friends” from last season will return for the show’s 14th season. So we won’t see Tanya Sam, who disppeared from filming in Season 13 after she was accused of having a threesome with Williams and Bolo, the stripper. Nor will we see Latoya Ali, who bonded with Moore (until she didn’t), and clashed with Sidora. Falynn Guobadia also won’t be back this season, which will be a disappointment to those who would have wanted to hear her talk about the messiness that Williams is now engaged to her recently ex-husband, Simon.
And despite what the blogs say — to use the preferred “RHOA” term for how information spreads — NeNe Leakes won’t appear on the show this season.
But Whitfield’s return promises to be a homecoming for her, and for fans. An OG cast member of “RHOA” — and the inventor of such catchphrases as “Who gon’ check me, boo?,” as well as the retort “fix that face!” to NeNe Leakes — Whitfield was on Seasons 1-4. She returned as a “friend” for the show’s eighth season, and was a full-time member of the cast for Seasons 9 and 10. In the show’s 10th season, Whitfield’s storyline was dragged down by the fact that yes, she was in a relationship — but it was with a man named Tyrone Gilliams, who was serving 10 years in prison for wire fraud. In February of this year, TMZ reported that Gilliams was released early because of COVID, and that he and Whitfield had reunited. They are still together, and he will be on the show.
Not to mention that Whitfield and Hampton can revisit their fight from the trip to South Africa in Season 4, which is seen as a classic “Real Housewives” battle, in which the two of them made faces at one another for what seemed to be an entire (delightful!) day.
Indeed, Hampton has been appearing on “RHOA” for that long without becoming an official member of the cast until now.

Jelani Day's Mother Speaks Out After Coroner's Report Released!
While Day's cause of death was released Monday, the manner of death remained unknown.
Calling the circumstances surrounding Day’s death “suspicious,” Bloomington Police public information officer John Fermon said the location where Day’s car was found before his body was discovered in the Illinois River days later was notable to investigating officers.
The mother of Jelani Day said that while her son's cause of death has been released, she still has questions on how he died and believes the Illinois State University grad student was killed.
"I don't care what their press releases say, my baby was killed," Carmen Bolden Day wrote in a recent Facebook post. "He did not drown himself."
The LaSalle County Coroner on Monday released the cause of death for Jelani Day, who was found dead in the Illinois River in September just days after he was reported missing, but stopped short of ruling on the manner of death.
Day's cause of death was ruled as a drowning, LaSalle County Coroner Richard Ploch said in a news release Monday, adding the manner in which "Mr. Day went into the Illinois River is currently unknown."
Bolden Day said her son was an "avid swimmer" and showed no signs of suicidal indications.
Day disappeared on Aug. 24 and was reported missing soon after by his family and a professor after he did not show up for class for several days. Day's mother said it was not like him to disappear without telling someone about his whereabouts.
His car was found just days later in a wooded area near where his body was ultimately discovered in the Illinois River near Peru, a far southwest Chicago suburb miles from where Day was last seen. It wasn't until late-September that a positive identification was made, however.
Authorities noted "unusual" circumstances surrounding both his disappearance and the discovery of his body. While the cause of death was released Monday, the manner of death remained unknown.
Police previously declined to offer many specifics surrounding the ongoing investigation, but said Day disappeared under "unexplained suspicious circumstances."
"It's a suspicious or unusual circumstances while he was missing, and then [the car's location was] also, you know, pretty suspicious or unusual and I've been a police officer 10 years," Bloomington Police public information officer John Fermon. "That's very unusual to just find a car like that."
Day's mother also recently cited undisclosed discrepancies between an autopsy done by the LaSalle County Coroner's office and an independent autopsy ordered by the family.
Reports had surfaced indicating Day's body was missing several organs when an independent autopsy was ordered by the family, but Day's mother and the coroner later dispelled those rumors.
Ploch told NBC 5 in a statement "some were severely decomposed due to the body being in the water," but he noted that no organs were missing.
Still, Bolden Day said questions lingered following the two autopsies.
"There were contradicting facts from the first preliminary autopsy compared to the second independent autopsy, but this is not a case of organ harvesting, however, my son did not put himself in a river," she said in a statement.
She did not comment further on the "contradicting facts" she cited between the autopsies, but continued her cry for answers.
"My son was murdered and my goal and purpose are to find out what happened and hold those responsible accountable!!!” Bolden Day wrote.
Day's siblings wrote in a post that due to the confusion surrounding the autopsies, they had ordered a third autopsy be done, delaying a burial for Day.
Police investigating the disappearance of an Illinois State University graduate student are asking the public for tips as the search for the young man continues nearly a month after he vanished.
Bolden Day said she doesn’t think her son ran away and believes someone may have hurt her son.
"He wasn’t depressed. He didn’t have any kind of pressures that would make him want to escape from life," she said. "So I do feel as if there was someone involved."
Several departments, including the FBI's Springfield, are involved in the investigation, authorities have confirmed, though their exact role remains unclear. The FBI's Springfield office previously told NBC 5 it was "in communication" with Bloomington authorities in connection with the case.
But in the days since Day's body was identified, thousands have signed a petition started by an Alabama fraternity seeking heightened federal involvement in the case.
With more than 28,000 signatures as of Tuesday, the petition, started by members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and the Nu Epsilon chapter at Alabama A&M University, calls for federal and state authorities to take over the investigation, alleging the Bloomington Police Department "has shown the inability to handle a case of this nature."
The petition follows similar criticisms from Day's family, who alleged his case did not receive the attention of other missing persons like that of Gabby Petito, whose disappearance and subsequent death made national headlines and spawned a multi-state search from numerous law enforcement departments.
Day graduated from Alabama A&M University with a degree in speech language pathology. Bolden said her son was inspired to go down this career path after seeing a friend struggle.
Drug Dealer Accepts Plea Deal With 17 Years Prison Time in Mac Miller’s OD Death!
One of the three men charged in connection with Mac Miller’s fatal overdose has agreed to plead guilty and accept a 17-year prison sentence for supplying the fentanyl-laced counterfeit oxycodone pills sold to the rising rapper shortly before his 2018 death.
Under the terms of the deal, prosecutors are waiving Stephen Andrew Walter’s grand jury indictment and allowing him to plead to a single new charge of fentanyl distribution. He previously was indicted on more serious charges including fentanyl distribution resulting in death and conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance resulting in death.
“The new charge takes out the death allegation,” Walter’s lawyer William S. Harris tells Rolling Stone. “It’s a binding plea agreement for 17 years [in prison]. The judge will either accept or reject it. If he accepts it, there will be no power to sentence my client to more. If he rejects it, there’s no deal.”
Walter, 48, is set to appear at a hearing Nov. 8 to change his plea if the proposed deal is accepted.
“I am pleading guilty because I am guilty of the charge and wish to take advantage of the promises set forth in this agreement,” Walter said in a written statement attached to the agreement filed in federal court in Los Angeles.
One of his co-defendants in the case, Cameron James Pettit, also reached a plea agreement that has been sealed, a source tells Rolling Stone. The third co-defendant, Ryan Michael Reavis, is heading to a trial set for March 1.
According to his new deal, Walter agrees he “knowingly” directed Reavis to deliver fentanyl in the form of counterfeit oxycodone pills to Pettit on Sept. 4, 2018. A short time later, Pettit distributed the pills to Miller, the paperwork states.
Miller, whose legal name was Malcolm James McCormick, was 26 years old when he died at his home in Los Angeles on Sept. 7, 2018, from a lethal cocktail of fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner and Coroner ruled.
The rapper, who was open about his struggles with addiction, was last seen alive by his assistant around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 6, 2018. It was the assistant who found him unresponsive the next morning when he went to check on him.
According to the indictment, Pettit had agreed on Sept. 4 to supply McCormick with 10 oxycodone pills called “blues” as well as cocaine and the sedative Xanax. When he made the delivery on Sept. 5, Pettit allegedly gave McCormick the counterfeit oxycodone pills that contained fentanyl instead.
Investigators previously said they believe McCormick died after snorting the counterfeit pills.
Lil Nas X’s Dad Slams Boosie Badazz Over Latest Homophobic Rant!
Following Boosie Badazz’s latest homophobic rant targeted at Lil Nas X that was later removed from Twitter, X’s dad, Robert Stafford, took to social media to defend his son and call out the Louisiana rapper for being hypocritical and ignorant.
“How the hell you’re a gangsta rapper promoting drugs, gun violence, degrading women and getting high every video talking about you’re for the kids man sit your old man looking ass down,” he wrote on his Instagram story. “The game has past you. We real Bankhead over here. Not like the guy who claims it.”
The Bankhead that Stafford is likely referring to is a neighborhood in west downtown Atlanta, the city that Lil Nas X grew up in.

Boosie faced major backlash after going on a homophobic tirade on social media this past weekend in response to Nas X joking that they had a song together in the works.
Boosie responded via Twitter, unloading a series of homophobic slurs in a since-deleted tweet that doesn’t bear repeating here.
This isn’t the first time Nas X’s father has defended his son from other artists. After DaBaby’s homophobic rant at Rolling Loud this past summer, Stafford took to his Instagram Story again to tell the rapper to “sit down” and leave his son alone.
R. Kelly’s Three Grammy Awards Will Not Yet Be Revoked, According To The Recording Academy’s CEO!
R. Kelly will be able to keep his three Grammy awards, for the time being. The Recording Academy’s Harvey Mason Jr. spoke to the Chicago Sun-Times and addressed rumors that the singer would have the awards revoked as a result of his recent conviction on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. “I think it’s something that we’re going to need to take a good hard look at, have a lot of conversations about, work through and make a decision,” he said. “But right now, I think it’s something that is going to take a little bit more consideration before we can really dictate or decide.”
Mason Jr. added, “My initial feeling is we’re probably not a business that we want to be in of taking people’s awards back after they’ve been given. But we’ll take a good look at it and see.”
Kelly received his three Grammys came back in 1997, when he won in three different categories for “I Believe I Can Fly,” his hit song from the Space Jam soundtrack.
The singer was specifically convicted on one count of racketeering and eight counts of sex trafficking, with each accounting for his violations of the Mann Act, a law that makes it illegal to move someone across state lines “for any immoral purpose.” The sentencing portion of the case will begin on May 4, 2022, where he faces between 10 years and life in prison.
Kelly was reportedly put on suicide watch after his conviction. His lawyer, however, confirmed days later that he had been removed from the categorization.
Civil rights pioneer Claudette Colvin seeks to have 1955 arrest record expunged!
Colvin was arrested back in 1955 for refusing to move to the “colored” section of the bus.
Claudette Colvin, the civil rights activist who was arrested back in 1955 for refusing to give up her seat to a white person on a bus, is seeking to have her record expunged.
According to The Associated Press, on Tuesday (Oct. 26), Colvin’s legal team is planning to file a request with the Montgomery Court to have the charges removed. She was previously charged with one felony count of assaulting a police officer and two counts of violating the city’s segregation ordinance. She was convicted on all counts in a juvenile court, but it was later overturned on an appeal.
Rosa Parks Day legislation introduced in Congress by Rep. Joyce Beatty
“I am an old woman now. Having my records expunged will mean something to my grandchildren and great grandchildren. And it will mean something for other Black children,” Colvin, who is now 82 years old, said in a sworn statement.
Back in 1955, Colvin, who was 15 years old at the time, and another Black girl were sitting across from two white girls, according to the police arrest report. They refused to give up their seats in the front of the bus to move to the back with the rest of the “colored” people. Colvin refused and was placed under arrest.

Colvin’s case took place nine months before Rosa Parks also refused to give up her bus seat. However, she previously told CNN that Parks received more attention because her image was more “acceptable to a white” community.
Colvin is hoping that getting her record erased will help society progress. “I want us to move forward and be better,” she reportedly said in the filing. “When I think about why I’m seeking to have my name cleared by the state, it is because I believe if that happened it would show the generation growing up now that progress is possible and things do get better. It will inspire them to make the world better.”
Criminal charges have not been ruled out in Alec Baldwin’s fatal ‘Rust’ set shooting!
SANTA FE, N.M. — Criminal charges have not been ruled out in the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Alec Baldwin’s Western “Rust,” cops said Tuesday.
While no one has been arrested in the fatal mishap, the potential for criminal charges “hasn’t been ruled out” and if crew members who were on-set have information, they need to come forward, Juan Rios, the public information officer for the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office, told The Post.
“There are a lot of things flying around on the internet and honestly if people have information, they need to bring it to us instead of going to whomever,” Rios said.
“Bring it to us so we can follow up and check into that because if you have valid information, we want it, but the only way we can check it out is if you tell us.”
Rios said detectives are taking a slow and methodical approach to the investigation, which is expected to “be going on for a while” due to the number of witnesses that need to be interviewed.
“We need to be diligent to ensure the integrity of the investigation should there be charges ultimately filed that they are able to uphold those in court,” Rios explained.
Alec Baldwin’s fatal shot on the set of ‘Rust’ could lead to criminal charges.
Instagram
On Monday, detectives filed an inventory list of items that have been seized from the Bonanza Creek Ranch where the Western was being filmed, including three “revolvers,” at least nine spent shell casings and ammunition that was found in boxes, a fanny pack and loose around set.
The inventory list didn’t disclose what type of ammunition was found, nor what type of spent shell casings were recovered. Rios said the sheriff is expected to answer those questions during a press conference scheduled for Wednesday morning.
Last Thursday, Baldwin, who is both a producer and an actor in the film, was rehearsing a “cross draw” with a revolver he was told had no live ammunition when it suddenly discharged, striking Hutchins in the chest and director Joel Souza in the shoulder.
Rios maintained the incident is very much still an “active investigation” and interviews with witnesses are still ongoing.
‘Dune: Part Two’ Greenlit, Set for 2023 Theatrical Release by Warner Bros and Legendary!
Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. announced on Tuesday that “Dune: Part Two” has been greenlit after the first film’s $41 million opening in North America this past weekend. Denis Villeneuve will return to direct the sequel, which is set for release in October 2023.
“Legendary is pleased to officially move forward with Dune: Part Two…once again based on the amazing books written by Frank Herbert,” read the statement from Legendary announcing the sequel. “We would not have gotten to this point without the extraordinary vision of Denis and the amazing work of his talented crew, the writers, our stellar cast, our partners at Warner Bros., and of course the fans! Here’s to more Dune.”
“Denis Villeneuve has crafted a film that is both visually extraordinary and emotionally transporting, as evidenced by its global success both critically and at the box office,” Warner Bros. chairman Toby Emmerich said in a statement. “We are thrilled to continue on this journey with Denis and his cast and crew, and our partners at Legendary, and can’t wait to bring the next chapter of this epic tale to theaters in October 2023.”
“Dune” has received critical and audience praise since its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, and while the film’s theatrical run will only yield minimal profits at best with $225 million grossed so far against a $165 million budget, Warner’s plan is to turn Frank Herbert’s books into a crossplatform franchise, both in theaters and on HBO Max, and are thus looking at streaming metrics and other data to measure the film’s success.
“I just received news from Legendary that we are officially moving forward with ‘Dune: Part Two,'” Villeneuve said in a statement. “It was a dream of mine to adapt Frank Herbert’s DUNE and I have the fans, the cast, and crew, Legendary and Warner Bros. to thank for supporting this dream. This is only the beginning.”
The film follows Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet), the heir of an aristocratic family that has been tasked with mining precious resources on a desert planet called Arrakis and who is prophesized to be the Lisan al-Gaib, a messiah who will liberate the Fremen, the people of Arrakis who have fought those attempting to colonize it. The sequel will adapt the second half of “Dune” as Paul continues his training under the guidance of the Fremen.
The October 2023 release slate still has a long way to be fully formed, as the only other major wide release in place that month is Universal’s reboot of “The Exorcist” starring Leslie Odom Jr. and Ellen Burstyn on Oct. 13. Disney recently pulled a placeholder for a Marvel Studios film from that month as part of a slate-wide shuffle.
Prior to that, Chalamet will also appear in Warner Bros.’ “Wonka,” a prequel film about the famed Roald Dahl candyman directed by Paul King that will be released in March 2023. Chalamet’s “Dune” co-star, Zendaya, will appear in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” this December.
Dionne Warwick Slams Upcoming Whitney Houston Biopic: “I Want Them To Let Whitney Rest In Peace”!
Producer Clive Davis is gearing up to release “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” another Whitney Houston biopic. Although a film about Whitney’s life has already been made, Davis previously said, “he has a mission to make sure that for all time that the full picture of Whitney Houston is captured in a no-holds-barred film that is musically rich and shows her genius and more of her character than we have seen to date.”
While speaking with the Los Angeles Times, Dionne Warwick shared how she felt about another Whitey film being created.
“I want them to let Whitney rest in peace,” Warwick honestly told the Los Angeles Times. “Leave her alone. Ten years [since she died] – it’s time to let her sleep.” To note, Whitney Houston is a cousin of Dionne Warwick. Whitney’s mother, the gospel-trained vocalist, Cissy Houston, is an aunt of Dionne.
The “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” film has already cast British actress Naomi Ackie in the lead role, and Ashton Sanders as Bobby Brown.

Wendy Williams’ ex-husband Kevin Hunter is engaged to Sharina Hudson!
Wendy Williams’ ex-husband Kevin Hunter is engaged to the mother of his love child, Sharina Hudson,
A source told us Hunter bought the ring, which is valued at $80,000, in 2020, and Hudson has been spotted in Instagram posts wearing the pricey diamond as far back as that April.
Although it’s unclear when exactly Hunter popped the question, the engagement news, which was first reported by the US Sun, comes amid Williams’ health struggles, which have caused her to take leave from her eponymous talk show with no word on when or if she will return.
Williams married Hunter in 1997 and filed for divorce in April 2019 after Hudson, his mistress at the time, gave birth to a baby girl.
Hunter released a statement at the time saying he wasn’t “proud” of his “recent actions.”
“[I] take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans,” his statement said.
Remember earlier that month that Williams and Hunter were looking into separating.
They then finalized their divorce in January 2020, with both parties agreeing to forgo alimony.
Williams notably called Hunter a “serial cheater” this January.
“Kevin cheated on me while I was pregnant with my son,” she told “Extra” correspondent Billy Bush, explaining that she didn’t divorce Hunter at the time for the sake of their son, Kevin Hunter Jr., now 21.
She added, “Kevin had different mistresses. This last one was the one he had the longest-term relationship with,” referring to Hudson.
Reps for Hunter and Williams could not immediately be reached for comment.
New Jersey Teacher Suspended After Allegedly Telling Muslim Student ‘We Don’t Negotiate With Terrorists’!
A teacher in New Jersey has been suspended for allegedly telling an Arab American and Muslim student, “we don’t negotiate with terrorists.”
On Wednesday, during high school student Mohammed Zubi‘s first period, the high school senior asked his teacher to extend the deadline for a homework assignment. Zubi, who attends Ridgefield Memorial High School in Ridgefield, New Jersey, says the teacher came up to him later and said that he “didn’t mean it like that.”

“The district strives to create an inclusive environment where students’ and staff members’ race, religion, national origin and sexual orientation are embraced,” the statement continued. “While the district cannot legally comment on personnel or student matters, the public should be aware that the district immediately suspended the staff member while it is conducting a full investigation.”
It went on to say that it will pursue any and all legal remedies against the staff member as any discriminatory conduct “has absolutely no place in our district.”

Mike Tyson Confirms He’s Returning to the Ring in February!
Mike Tyson, 55, announced to the British tabloid The Sun that he will be fighting again in February 2022.
The famous boxer is anticipated to fight one of two social media influencers-turned-boxers, Logan or Jake Paul.
He said, “I am going to have a return fight in February and we are pretty skeptical about the opponent, but it will be a really stimulating opponent.”
According to Daniel Keen of the social media outlet Drama Alert, Tyson will fight Logan Paul, but this has yet to be confirmed. It’s also uncertain under which boxing organization Tyson will compete.
Tyson did express on the Full Send Podcast that he would never fight Paul in the ring.
“He got balls. He’s got f***ing balls,” Tyson said. “When you see a white boy with balls, you know… Yeah, but nah man, let him have his f***ing reign.”
Katie Couric Reveals Her Biggest Regret With The Ginsburg-Kaepernick Controversy!
On Tuesday’s The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Katie Couric discussed the recent controversy surrounding her 2016 interview with former Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Couric revealed in her new memoir, Going There, that she left out damaging quotes from Ginsberg concerning former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest.
Kaepernick sparked an international discussion on police brutality and systemic racism when he started kneeling during the national anthem. When Couric asked Ginsburg about the protest the justice apparently called it “dumb” and “disrespectful.”
While those adjectives are pretty clear, some of what Ginsburg said apparently was not. For that reason, Couric chose to leave the clip on the cutting room floor.
“You know, honestly, the human side of me was like, 'She's older, is she confused about it?'” Couric said. “There was one statement that I thought I didn't quite understand what she meant. I didn't ask a follow-up saying, ‘Can you clarify that?’ And I ended up not using it.”
Couric later said she regrets not pushing back at Ginsburg with a follow-up question. She also admitted that her judgement may not have been as good as she would’ve wished. She believes it was important to admit the mistake in hopes of reassuring the public that the media is not deceptive.
“I think what I was trying to say is we all make judgment calls,” Couric said. “Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong, sometimes our own human emotion gets involved in it.”
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
