#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey Said She Left ‘RHOA’ To Keep Her Marriage Intact!

Being on reality television can not only be exhausting for the reality star, but it can also be detrimental for their relationships. Cynthia Bailey, who decided to leave the Real Housewives of Atlanta after 11 seasons, revealed that one of the reasons she wanted to exit the show was to keep her marriage to Mike Hill in tact.

“After going through my divorce with my ex [Peter Thomas], I’m very protective of my second marriage because, you know, I really want it to work, and I want to do everything that I can to protect it and to protect Mike,” the Alabama-bred beauty told Page Six.

She added that the world of reality television is not “the most positive atmosphere” for your family and she learned that when she was married to her first husband, Peter Thomas. She did say that the show didn’t kill her marriage, but it didn’t help it either.

“Honestly, whether we were on the show or not, I don’t think it would have worked out now,” the Seagrams Escapes ambassador added. “Now, let me be very clear, I don’t think being on the show helps your relationship. But if your relationship is not solid or there’s issues you guys are dealing with, those issues are going to play out, whether you [are on] the show or not. So that’s just what it is.”

Bailey added that Hill, who she’s been married to for a year, would’ve been cheering for her whether she wanted to remain on the show or not.

“Mike is supportive either way,” she said “But I think he is very excited for me to to be in on television in other ways, something a little less drama based.”

After Bailey announced that she was making an exit, co-star Porsha Williams said she would also be letting go of her peach.

The Atlanta Braves close out NLCS, to reach first World Series since 1999!

For the first time in more than two decades, the Atlanta Braves are headed to the World Series.

The Braves, thanks to another hot night from Eddie Rosario, closed out the Los Angeles Dodgers with a 4-2 win in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series at Truist Park on Saturday night.

Atlanta advanced to its first World Series since 1999.

“I never thought it would happen, quite honestly,” Braves manager Brian Snitker said on TBS. “This is something that I sit in my easy chair and watch everyone else do. I watched [the Astros do it] last night, and I was like, ‘God I want to experience that.’ Here we are.”

Austin Riley put Atlanta on the board in the first inning after hitting a deep shot to left field that one-hopped over the wall and sent Ozzie Albies in for a 1-0 lead.

The Dodgers, namely Cody Bellinger, responded in the fourth inning. Bellinger hit an RBI-single to left field that sent Trea Turner in to tie up the game.

That didn’t last long. In the bottom of the inning with two outs, Rosario drilled a three-run homer off starter Walker Buehler to put the Braves right back on top.

That hit marked Rosario's 14th of the NLCS, a franchise record, and his third home run. The NLCS MVP's 14 hits also tied the Major League Baseball record for most hits in a postseason series.

“That guy’s been on fire,” pitcher Tyler Matzek said on the MLB Network. “I don’t know his numbers, but he’s got to be hitting like .700 or something. Every time he comes up to a clutch situation, he seems to pull through.”

The Dodgers had a shot to get back into the game in the seventh, after A.J. Pollock hit a double and cut the Braves’ lead down by one with no outs.

After pulling Luke Jackson and replacing him with Matzek on the mound, the Braves escaped the inning without any more damage.

Matzek cruised through the eighth inning with three quick outs, too. And though the Dodgers stopped a dangerous Atlanta showing in the bottom of the inning, they couldn't get anything in the ninth. Will Smith grabbed three quick outs himself to end the game and close out the series 4-2.

The Braves last made it to the World Series in 1999, when they were swept by the New York Yankees. They last won the title over Cleveland in 1995 and made it back to the series in 1996, but they fell to the Yankees then, too.

The Braves will next take on the Houston Astros, who finished off the Boston Red Sox in the ALCS on Friday night. Game 1 of that series is set for Tuesday night in Houston.

Jamie Lynn Spears claims parents pushed her to get an abortion at 16!

Jamie Lynn Spears is channeling big sister Britney in upcoming memoir, “Things I Should Have Said,” where she calls out their parents for pressuring her to have an abortion at 16 years old.

In excerpts obtained by TMZ, Jamie Lynn, 30, claims that after telling dad Jamie and mother Lynne that she was pregnant in 2007, they “came to my room trying to convince me that having a baby at this point in my life was a terrible idea.”

“‘It will kill your career. You are just too young. You don’t know what you’re doing. There are pills you can take. We can help you take care of this problem … I know a doctor,'” she claims they told her, adding, “everyone around me just wanted to make this ‘issue’ disappear…everyone was certain that termination would be the best course of action.”

Ultimately deciding to follow through with the pregnancy, the “Zoey 101” star got into an argument with dad Jamie, “slinging words and tossing insults” when he suggested she give up her child for adoption.

She also claims she was told not to tell sister Britney about the pregnancy.

“I needed her more than ever and she wasn’t able to help me in my most vulnerable time … To this day, the hurt of not being able to tell my sister myself still lingers.”

Maddie, now 13 years old, in 2008.

Jamie Lynn added that she and mom Lynne hid out in a cabin, in where she believes was Connecticut, until the story was published. While spending Thanksgiving together, she claims her “Momma wore her disappointment like her favorite jacket.”

Jamie Lynn shares Maddie with ex, Casey Aldridge. She also shares a three-year-old daughter, Ivey, with husband Jamie Watson.

Sister Britney has been slamming the Spears’ for months for being complicit in her conservatorship, most recently telling fans that she could easily expose her family — including sister Jamie Lynn — for their transgressions in a tell-all Q&A session.

“Lord have mercy on my family’s souls if I ever do an interview!!!” she wrote on Instagram last week.

‘Wendy Williams Show’ paying people to sit in audience during her absence!

“The Wendy Williams Show” is offering $75 cash to non-union, vaccinated people to sit in the studio audience next week when guest host Whitney Cummings fills in for Williams, according to an email blast seen by Page Six.

“‘The Wendy Williams Show’ is the provocative, must-see talk show in daytime,” the email and an online notice states, despite the fact that the so-called “must-see” show is desperate for an audience.

“$75 CASH incentive, given same day (3 hrs),” the message boasts.

On Sunday, the Fox-syndicated talk show turned to Instagram to call for fans to get their tickets online for Leah Remini’s run this week, making it clear that it isn’t selling out any shows while Williams focuses on her health.

A rep for the show didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

Williams, 57, is expected to be off the air through at least early November as she continues to recover from health woes stemming from her Graves’ disease. Former “The View” star Sherri Shepherd will take on the role the first week of November.

“She is making progress, but is experiencing serious complications as a direct result of Graves’ disease and her thyroid condition,” the show’s production company, Debmar-Mercury, said in a statement. “It has been determined that more time is needed before she is able to return to her live hosting duties.”

Williams was initially scheduled to start her new season on Sept. 20 but pushed it back several times because of health complications, including testing positive for a breakthrough case of COVID-19. She was later reportedly taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Multiple sources recently also told Page Six that the delay of Williams’ show is starting to become a huge problem for station affiliates and advertisers, though it appeared the show’s social media accounts tried to move away from that narrative, as the Facebook account eventually wrote, “We very much appreciate the respect for Wendy’s privacy, as well as all the good wishes from her fans, station partners and advertisers.”

When the show’s 13th season premiered Monday, guest co-host Michael Yo addressed Williams’ absence.

“Wendy, I know you’re watching right now, and on behalf of myself, our panel, your co-hosts, we love you and can’t wait to have you back in that purple chair,” Yo said.

Former Sec of State Colin Powell memorial service set for Nov. 5!

WASHINGTON — A memorial service for Colin L. Powell, the retired Army general and former secretary of state who died on Monday, will be held Nov. 5 at Washington National Cathedral, a spokeswoman said Thursday.

“There will be very limited seating and it will be by invitation only,” Peggy Cifrino said in an emailed statement.

Powell died of complications from Covid-19 at age 84. He had been vaccinated, but his family said his immune system had been compromised by multiple myeloma, a blood cancer for which he had been undergoing treatment.

The retired Army general was widely praised as a pathbreaker, having been the first Black person to serve as U.S. secretary of state and as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He spent 35 years in uniform, and the story of his rise to prominence as a soldier and a diplomat was a historic example to minorities.

He joined President George W. Bush’s administration in 2001 as secretary of state. Powell’s tenure was marred by his February 2003 U.N. address in which he cited faulty information to claim that Iraq’s Saddam Hussein had secretly stashed weapons of mass destruction. Such weapons never materialized, and though the Iraqi leader was removed, the war devolved into years of military and humanitarian losses.

No child of privilege, Powell often framed his biography as an American success story.

“Mine is the story of a black kid of no early promise from an immigrant family of limited means who was raised in the South Bronx,” he wrote in his 1995 autobiography, “My American Journey.”

U.N. nuke watchdog chief says monitoring of Iran is no longer 'intact.'

It’s an experience he was fond of recalling later in his life. When he appeared at the United Nations, even during his Iraq speech, he often reminisced about his childhood in New York City, where he grew up the child of Jamaican immigrants and got one of his first jobs at the Pepsi-Cola bottling plant directly across the East River from the U.N. headquarters.

Powell’s path toward the military began at City College, where he discovered the ROTC. When he put on his first uniform, he wrote, “I liked what I saw.”

He joined the Army and in 1962 was one of more than 16,000 military advisers sent to South Vietnam by President John F. Kennedy. A series of promotions led to the Pentagon and assignment as a military assistant to Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger. He later became commander of the Army’s 5th Corps in Germany and was national security assistant to President Ronald Reagan.

During his term as Joint Chiefs chairman, which started in 1989, his approach to war became known as the Powell Doctrine, which held that the United States should only commit forces in a conflict if it has clear and achievable objectives with public support, sufficient firepower and a strategy for ending the war.

The Rookie EP Bans 'Live' Weapons From Set in Wake of Halyna Hutchins Tragedy: 'Any Risk Is Too Much Risk'!

Effective immediately, no “live” weapons will be used on the set of ABC’s The Rookie, showrunner Alexi Hawley announced in a staff memo on Friday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“As of today, it is now policy on The Rookie that all gunfire on set will be Air Soft guns with CG muzzle flashes added in post,” the memo reads. “There will be no more ‘live’ weapons on the show. The safety our cast and crew is too important. Any risk is too much risk.”

This announcement comes one day after director of photography Halyna Hutchins died from injuries sustained on the set of the movie Rust, from a prop gun discharged by star Alec Baldwin. Director Joel Souza was also injured in the on-set accident.

How can a prop gun do harm, as happened on the Rust set? Prop guns as used on many TV and film productions are often real guns, but loaded with blank cartridges. “Blanks” are composed of the same case (shell), primer (igniter) and gunpowder as live ammo, but without a projectile. (Instead, wax or a paper wad hold in the gunpowder.) Still, the firing of the blank creates a muzzle flash and pushes superheated gases out the side of the firearm, both of which can be dangerous. Also, the expelled wax or paper wadding can be dangerous if fired at close enough range, as happened with Jon-Erik Hexum in 1984 backstage at CBS’ Cover Up, killing the actor. (You can read more here.)

Hutchins and Souza are also mentioned in Hawley’s memo: “The tragic events in New Mexico yesterday have shaken us all. Our hearts go out to the friends and family of Halyna Hutchins and Joel Souza.”

New episodes of The Rookie, currently in its fourth season, air Sundays at 10/9c.

ZoΓ« Kravitz and Channing Tatum Hold Hands on Their Way to Lunch in N.Y.C.!

ZoΓ« Kravitz and Channing Tatum appear to have confirmed their relationship status.

The pair was spotted holding hands for the first time Saturday on their way to lunch in New York City. Tatum, 41, also wrapped his arm around Kravitz's shoulder as they stayed warm in their chic couple looks.

Kravitz, 32, layered a black duster coat over a white turtleneck sweater with baggy jeans and a pair of black leather boots. She accessorized with a cuffed gray knit beanie and thin black sunglasses. Tatum complemented her in a hoodie with black trousers and white shoes.

The pair was previously seen putting on a fashionable display — and engaging in PDA — at a Met Gala afterparty last month. Although they arrived at the Costume Institute Benefit separately, they left the exclusive event together. An event insider said they "did not take their hands off of each other" during the star-studded Cincoro Tequila afterparty.

Although a source said that Tatum and Kravitz were not dating in January, they've been seen spending time together around N.Y.C. since August, as they film her directorial debut Pussy Island, in which Tatum stars. Kravitz also co-wrote the screenplay alongside E.T. Feigenbaum.

Another insider said last month that they "continue to be inseparable" during their city outings. "They spent the weekend in N.Y.C., strolled around the city, met up with friends and visited the Guggenheim Museum," the source said. "They looked very happy. They have this cute and flirty chemistry."

"ZoΓ« thinks Channing has depth both as an actor and a person," said one industry source, as another added: "Channing likes that she is independent and outspoken, as well as bright."

Kravitz's blossoming romance comes after she finalized her divorce from Karl Glusman, 33, in August. She filed for divorce in January, 18 months after they tied the knot at her father Lenny Kravitz's Paris home in June 2019.

The Batman actress opened about her divorce last month. "I got married. I got divorced," she told Another magazine. "Separations, breakups are sad, but are beautiful things, too. It's about the bittersweetness, that beginning and that end. It's so complex, that space, when you're in between heartbroken and mourning the loss of something and excited for what's ahead of you."

Tatum previously dated Jessie J, 33, after his divorce from Jenna Dewan, 40, with whom he shares 8-year-old daughter Everly.

Georgia Woman Claims To Be DMX’s Daughter Amid Estate Battle!

While DMX’s family members figure out how his estate will be divided, a Georgia woman is claiming to be the late rapper’s daughter, Page Six reports. According to the outlet, Raven Barmer-Simmons reached out to X’s other kids to let them know that she will be getting a paternity test to confirm she is their sister.

Since the Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood rapper did not leave a will, the process to determine who receives his earnings has been challenging. X’s fiancΓ© Desiree Lindstrom’s petition to be the administrator of his estate was denied in June by a Westchester, New York judge. His oldest daughter’s Sasha Simmons and Jada Oden also petitioned to become administrators, however, his sons, Tacoma, Xavier and Sean were named temporary administrators of the estate — which is reportedly worth less than $1 million.

“The next big thing is to determine who are the rightful heirs,” Herbert Nass, the trusts and estates attorney for the three Simmons sons, told Page Six. “The estate is going to ask everyone to prove paternity through DNA testing. All the legal children of DMX will be entitled to an equal share of his estate… We need to collect assets and pay debts and administration costs. We don’t have a lot of information about his income streams, but now the temporary administrators have been appointed, we can ask questions and expect answers.”

“I want to point out that when a person dies without a will, a surety bond needs to be posted, and obtaining a bond is difficult,” Nass added. “We spoke to a number of surety companies and it was only Thomas Whittemore at Executive Bond who was able to get it done.”

Swizz Beatz explains decision to call out DMX’s fake friends during homegoing service

As previously reported, DMX was pronounced dead in White Plains Hospital on April 9, 2021. The iconic rapper died from a cocaine-induced heart attack. He was 50years old.

Paul Walker’s Daughter, Meadow, Is Married!

Meadow Walker, the daughter of late actor Paul Walker, has tied the knot.

“We’re married,” Meadow, 22, captioned video from her wedding Friday afternoon on Instagram, revealing that she wed Louis Thornton-Allan after a two-month engagement.

Vogue reports that the wedding took place “earlier this month” without giving an exact date.

Soon after sharing the news, new hubby Louis commented on Meadow’s post, “Forever,” along with a purple heart and globe emoji.

He also shared a small collection of photos from the wedding on his own Instagram account, simply captioning the shots, “I Love You.”

Meadow’s godfather, Paul’s “Fast & Furious” co-star Vin Diesel, walked the model down the aisle in place of her father, a source at E! News claims. Co-star Jordana Brewster was also present for the ceremony, which took place in the Dominican Republic, and was seen hugging the veiled bride in a clip.

“The pandemic impacted our plans,” Meadow told Vogue while discussing the ceremony’s intimate guest list. “Louis’s family wasn’t able to attend. A lot of close friends whom we consider family were also unable to attend due to travel restrictions.”

The bride said “I do” in a custom Givenchy Haute Couture dress, and wore a more “fun and youthful” look to the New York City celebration that followed in the days after their return to the States.

Meadow and Louis were engaged for just over two months before tying the knot.

Instagram

Back in August, Meadow confirmed her engagement to the actor with an Instagram video showing off her ring while going for a swim.

It’s unclear how long the couple dated before their engagement, but they became Instagram-official in July.

Just last week, the beauty shared a photo of the couple on the beach, captioning the snap “best friend.”

Meadow is Walker’s daughter with Rebecca Soteros, a girlfriend, and lived with her mother in Hawaii for 13 years before relocating to California with Walker in 2011. She was just 15 years old when her father was killed at age 40 in a fiery car crash in November 2013.

Bill Maher’s ‘Real Time’ Defends Dave Chappelle, Calls On Everyone To Lighten Up!

“You can’t be afraid to speak in America,” said host Bill Maher last night at the top of his HBO series, Real Time. He was talking about his views on one of the week’s big stories in entertainment, the Dave Chappelle controversy over language in The Closer.

But as later conversations in the show would prove, Maher was also talking about how polarization in this country’s politics and language has to end, a process that may be the only way to move forward.

Maher said he was a Chappelle fan, but added that doesn’t mean he hates trans people. His guest panelist, author and NY Times newsletter opinion writer John McWhorter, likened such polarization as akin to a religion, wherein people view things in ways that point to one absolute and final truth.

Andrew Yang, the former presidential and New York mayoral candidate, said that most people would agree on policy much more than you would imagine. But he, too, blamed language for the deep divisions in the country, as “coded” words draw a dividing line.

McWhorter concluded that Chappelle is a comedian, which means it’s sometimes nuanced and symbolic. Yet it’s presented in some quarters as “instead we’re told to read it as it’s ‘The Three Bears.’ “

Earlier, Maher engaged with Saru Jayaraman, director of UC Berkeley’s Food Labor Research Center and author of One Fair Wage: Ending Subminimum Pay in America. She vociferously argued for a $15 minimum wage, and blamed wages for the current reluctance of many workers to return to low-wage jobs, calling on Congress to finally do something about it.

To close, Maher reminisced about a Bosnian cab driver who told him that the ugly strife he saw in his native country is being mirrored in the US.

“When people despise each other, it doesn’t matte what the issues are,” Maher said, urging all to “take it down a notch. Is that really so hard? It’s up to all of us to deescalate.”

To make that point, Maher turned to the recent space exploration by William Shatner, which was politicized by some as another example of privilege and other ills.

“How about this,” Maher said. “Just enjoy it, that William Shatner went for a rocket ride and came back. Not everything has to be political. You want to heal America – shut the f**k up for once.”

How Adele got a framed piece of Celine Dion's used gum as a gift from James Corden!

Why does Adele own a framed piece of Celine Dion's used gum? Well, it all comes down to the fact that the "Easy on Me" singer is very, uh, chew-sy about her gifts — at least according to James Corden.

"I gave it to [Adele] for her birthday, I think," Corden recalled on CBS' The Late Late Show Thursday night. "She's a difficult person to buy for. A candle doesn't cut it!"

But seriously, folks! Corden explained how the gum ended up in Adele's hands after the Grammy winner showed it off this week in a video interview with Vogue, calling the masticated mass her "proudest possession" and explaining that the late-night host had given it to her.

"James Corden — who's a friend of mine but also does Carpool Karaoke, which I did — he did it with [Dion]," Adele said. "He knew how much of a fan of her I was, and he made her spit her gum into a piece of paper and he framed it for me."

Corden confirmed on The Late Late Show that this is "a true story" and recalled how the whole thing transpired.

"What happened was, the weekend before we had shot [Carpool Karaoke], we went on a weekend away to Mexico. My family, A-bomb [meaning Adele], her son, and we spent a weekend together," he explained. "And the following Friday I was shooting the Carpool with Celine Dion, and Adele just loves Celine Dion... She said she gets starstruck by her."

When it came time to shoot Carpool Karaoke with Dion, he continued, "She had gum in her mouth, and she was like, 'What can I spit this in?'... I ripped off a piece [of paper] and she put it in. I said, 'I got it, I got it, I got it.' I then had to give it to [Late Late Show producer] Diana Miller, and I was like, 'I need to keep this super safe!' And she took it and looked at me like, 'I think this is the day he's lost his mind.'"

Corden then had the gum framed and gave it to Adele for her birthday. "Now that it's been in Adele's possession and Celine Dion's mouth, at some point in my lifetime I'm gonna see that on Sotheby's for like $138,000," the host quipped.

Adele is set to release 30, her first album in six years, on Nov. 19. The first single from it, "Easy on Me," has been shattering streaming records since its release last week. On Saturday, the song broke the U.K.'s record for the most streams in a single week, topping the country's charts

Phoenix Suns Owner Robert Sarver Accused Of Racism, Sexism, Sexual Harassment, Denies Allegations!

On Friday, NBA team Phoenix Suns released a statement denying claims of racism, sexism, and sexual harassment against its owner Robert Sarver.

“This story is completely outrageous and false,” Suns CEO and President Jason Rowley said in a statement released by the team. “It doesn’t represent – at all – the Robert Sarver I’ve worked alongside of for 15 years. He’s not a racist and he’s not a sexist.”

The team responded quickly to a statement made by NBA podcast host Jordan Schultz, who went on Twitter to say that the league was preparing for a story that accused Sarver of “racism, sexism, and sexual harassment in a series of incidents,” Complex reported.

“Breaking: The NBA is preparing for a massive story accusing #Suns owner Robert Sarver of racism, sexism and sexual harassment in a series of incidents, sources say,” he wrote. With enough evidence to support such claims, there’s a real chance the league would forcibly remove Sarver.”

Sarver has also denied the allegations and said he was “wholly shocked” by them.

“I am wholly shocked by some of the allegations purported by ESPN about me, personally, or about the Phoenix Suns and Mercury organizations,” he said. “While I can’t begin to know how to respond to some of the vague suggestions made by mostly anonymous voices, I can certainly tell you that some of the claims I find completely repugnant to my nature and to the character of the Suns/Mercury workplace and I can tell you they never, ever happened.”

The claims could cause Sarver to lose his position with the team. He purchased the Suns in 2004.

Donald Trump Attacks ‘Lowlife’ Meghan McCain After She Called Him A “Funeral Crasher”!

Although Donald Trump has been kicked off major social media platforms, he still found a way to send a little message to one of his enemy’s.

In a statement published by his spokesperson Liz Harrington on Twitter, former President Donald Trump shared some words to TV personality Meghan McCain, the daughter of the late Arizona Sen. John McCain. Trump is coming for Meghan over her her comments that she made about members of the Trump family in her new book.

“Isn’t it funny that Meghan McCain, who has always been a bully and basically a lowlife, is now complaining that it was she who was bullied by the Slobs and Radical Left maniacs of “The View,'” the statement said.

In her book “Bad Republican,” McCain refers to Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner as “funeral crasher.” Recently, in a television appearance, she said that they “had no goddamn business” being at her father’s memorial service in 2018.

“They should never have come. They had no business being there. I remember seeing them and seeing her specifically,” she said on Thursday. “They had no goddamn business being there and it’s something that still angers me, clearly,” McCain, 37, told Andy Cohen, the host of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live.

In Trump’s statement, he addressed the late McCain’s funeral, claiming to have made it possible for him to have the “world’s longest funeral” even though he was never “a fan.”
