#RHOA: Shamea Morton Explains Why She Doesn’t Have a Peach!

Shamea Morton has been a friend to the show on The Real Housewives of Atlanta for many seasons. She says she’s been offered a peach, but denies a full-time role due to her family obligations.

Morton has been on the show on a part-time basis since 2015. She’s a friend to many of the ladies on the cast but is the closest with Porsha Williams and Kandi Burruss. While her friendships with Williams and Burruss are strong, she’s had issues with Phaedra Parks, Eva Marcille, Kenya Moore, and Marlo Hampton.

Though she’s only a friend to the show, she’s appeared on two reunion specials. The first was the season 9 reunion due to her issues with Parks. Morton accused Parks of flirting with her ex-husband. She’s also appearing on the season 13 reunion special – and is a staple on the RHOA After Show.

Morton was part of the entertainment industry long before RHOA. Beginning in 2003, her works as an NBA dancer started. She’s danced for the Atlanta Hawks. She later performed with the NFL as part of the Atlanta Falcons cheerleading squad.

Morton is also a talented singer. She also has several acting credits under her belt, including Drumline, Single Ladies, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, and Ride Along 2 to name a few.

Outside of acting and dance, Morton is also an entertainment host. She’s filled in on the popular V103 Atlanta morning radio show, The Ryan Cameron Morning Show. Morton has also worked as an Atlanta Hawks in-game host where she’s provided sports commentary and conducted interviews.

The former NBA dancer says her husband does not want to join the show

During a recent interview with The Jasmine Brand, Morton says there have been “several” offers for her to join the show in a full-time capacity. She says Burruss and Williams can vouch for the network executives offering her a peach.

While Morton admits she’s on board with being bumped up to full-time, she says the reason she hasn’t is because her husband is hesitant with being on reality television.

“When you are a peach holder, you have to show all of your life, and that includes my husband,” Morton explains. “And, whereas he supports me being part of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, he doesn’t want to be a part of it. So, I have to respect that. My family and my home life is my priority. And I guess for as long as he won’t be a part of the show, I won’t hold a peach.”

Despite such, Morton says she’s enjoying her role on the show, noting it gives her the best of both worlds. She also notes that she’s not pushing to jump into the role because she has a stable life and career, and fame is not her goal.

“I’m fortunate enough to be able to hang out and play with the girls as a friend and I’m OK in my friend role,” she says. “I would love to be able to showcase all access of my life, but I’m OK with not having a peach. I’m financially stable, I’m happy in my marriage, I’m happy in my home…”

Morton married businessman, Gerald Mwangi, in 2017. They have one child, a daughter, Shaya.

#MusicNews: Tory Lanez And Chris Brown Ready Joint Project!

Tory Lanez and Chris Brown have more music on the way. The duo’s long-awaited joint effort may finally come to fruition, according to Tory. Speaking with DJ Carsima in an interview following his Playboy virtual performance on Saturday, the One Umbrella singer announced plans to release an entire capsule collection with Breezy.

“Me and Chris, we gon’ come out with another project too,” he said. “We gon’ drop a little capsule together. Me and Chris gon’ do a capsule too.”

In February, the two dropped a song and video for “Feels” off Tory’s R&B album Playboy. Prior to that, they collaborated on songs like “FlEXiBle” and “The Take.”

Tory has been teasing the joint project as far back as 2018. In 2019, he told Rap-Up that he and Chris had recorded 9-10 tracks. “We could damn near put out a project right now if we wanted to,” he said. “When me and Chris work, we just work mad fast.”

In addition to Chris, Tory teased upcoming collaborations with Yung Bleu (“Crazy one for all the R&B heads”) and DaBaby, who appears on “Skat,” for which they also shot a video. “The video for ‘Skat’ is like nuts, like stupid crazy, like the best video I think of the year,” said Tory, who previewed the visual earlier in the year.

And he’s only getting started. “We about to start turning the summer up. I’ma kill the whole summer,” added Tory.

YFN Lucci Named In 105-Count Atlanta Bloods Gang Racketeering Indictment!

YFN Lucci — who was arrested on felony murder in January — is reportedly facing some additional charges. According to WSB-TV 2 Atlanta, the Georgia native is one of 12 people named in a 75-page, 105 count racketeering indictment focused on factions within the Bloods gang.

“This indictment is unprecedented. Period. In Georgia,” Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said. “There’s been a huge spike in violent crime. I made a commitment to bring the best and the brightest minds here, many of which you see sitting here right now so that we could deal with this issue of this violent crime.”

Naturally, YFN Lucci’s attorney Drew Findling insisted his client is innocent while speaking to the press.

“He’s not a gang member,” he said. “What he is is an internationally recognized musical artist that is a triple platinum winner, that has performed all over the United States and all over the world.”

But Atlanta Police Chief Rodney Bryant isn’t impressed and believes law enforcement is doing the right thing, explaining, “I think that it sends a significant message, a profound message that regardless of your status that the City of Atlanta and Fulton County in partnership is coming after you if you violate the crimes in our county, in our city. ”

YFN Lucci is already facing an unrelated murder charge in connection to the shooting death of 28-year-old James Adams last December. Lucci surrendered to Atlanta police in January after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He’s charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Although Lucci was ultimately granted $500,000 bond, Georgia prosecutors want it revoked after they believe he violated his bond provisions when hitting the studio and going to a strip club.

Facebook continues the ban against Donald Trump and he Responds!

Facebook had suspended Trump's account in the wake of the Capitol siege.

Former President Donald Trump will remain banned on Facebook for now, the Facebook Oversight Board announced Wednesday, adding that Facebook must review the matter in the next six months to determine a defined penalty.

Facebook announced on Jan. 7 that Trump was locked out of his accounts on Facebook and Instagram indefinitely in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol siege, over concerns that his posts were inciting violence.

Trump responded to the board's ruling, saying in a statement, "What Facebook, Twitter, and Google have done is a total disgrace and an embarrassment to our Country. Free Speech has been taken away from the President of the United States because the Radical Left Lunatics are afraid of the truth, but the truth will come out anyway, bigger and stronger than ever before. The People of our Country will not stand for it! These corrupt social media companies must pay a political price, and must never again be allowed to destroy and decimate our Electoral Process."

In a separate statement released on Wednesday, Trump again baselessly claimed there was fraud in the 2020 election.

Within six months, "Facebook must reexamine the arbitrary penalty it imposed on January 7 and decide the appropriate penalty," the board said Wednesday. "This penalty must be based on the gravity of the violation and the prospect of future harm. It must also be consistent with Facebook's rules for severe violations, which must, in turn, be clear, necessary and proportionate."

"It is not permissible for Facebook to keep a user off the platform for an undefined period, with no criteria for when or whether the account will be restored," the board said.

The Facebook logo is displayed on a mobile phone in this picture illustration taken Dec. 2, 2019.

The board claimed that Facebook gave Trump's account "a vague, standardless penalty" and then tried to "avoid its responsibilities" by sending the "case to the Board to resolve."

"If Facebook decides to restore Mr. Trump's accounts, the company should apply its rules to that decision, including any changes made in response to the Board's policy recommendations below," the board's ruling said. "In this scenario, Facebook must address any further violations promptly and in accordance with its established content policies."

As part of the board's examination, Trump was allowed to provide a statement, which was submitted by the American Center for Law and Justice on his behalf.

The statement denies that Trump's comments lead to the Capitol siege. "It is stunningly clear that in his speech there was no call to insurrection, no incitement to violence, and no threat to public safety in any manner," and that there is a "total absence of any serious linkage between the Trump speech and the Capitol building incursion."

The statement also claimed that "all genuine Trump political supporters were law-abiding" and that the incursion was "certainly influenced, and most probably ignited by outside forces."

In response to the board's ruling, Facebook said, "We will now consider the board's decision and determine an action that is clear and proportionate. In the meantime, Mr. Trump's accounts remain suspended."

"The board also made a number of recommendations on how we should improve our policies," Facebook said. "While these recommendations are not binding, we actively sought the board's views on our policies around political figures and will carefully review its recommendations."

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy tweeted, "If they can ban President Trump, all conservative voices could be next."

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, called the board's ruling "disgraceful."

"For every liberal celebrating Trump’s social media ban, if the Big Tech oligarchs can muzzle the former President, what’s to stop them from silencing you?" Cruz tweeted.

Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., responded, "There's no Constitutional protection for using social media to incite an insurrection. Trump is willing to do anything for himself no matter the danger to our country. His big lies have cost America dearly. And until he stops, Facebook must ban him. Which is to say, forever."

Trump was permanently banned from Twitter on Jan. 8.

Trump told ABC News recently that the written statements he's been issuing during his social media ban are "so much more elegant than Twitter."

Michael Jackson Estate Wins Ruling in IRS Battle!

The battle over the value of Michael Jackson’s assets has ended with a Los Angeles judge dealing a significant reduction — and a win for the Jackson estate in an ongoing tax dispute. Per the Los Angeles Times, U.S. Tax Court Judge Mark Holmes ruled on May 3 that Jackson’s assets were worth $111 million at the time of his 2009 death, more than three-quarters less than the IRS’s estimate of $482 million. Jackson’s estate had been arguing for a lessened valuation after the IRS claimed it owed $700 million in unpaid taxes and penalties, claiming Jackson’s controversies (including allegations of child sexual abuse) and dip in popularity ahead of his death, along with his financial mismanagement, cut his assets’ worth significantly.

Chiefly, the court valued Jackson’s likeness and image at his death at $4.15 million, significantly below the IRS’s estimated $161 million. According to the New York Times, the Jackson estate argued his likeness and image were worth just $2,105. Holmes also took issue with that number, ruling the estate was “valuing the image and likeness of one of the best known celebrities in the world — the King of Pop — at the price of a heavily used 20-year-old Honda Civic.”

Holmes found most of the value in Jackson’s assets came from his own catalogue, which he pinned at $107 million — close to the IRS’s suggested $114 million. Yet he valued Jackson’s then-50 percent stake in Sony/ATV Music Publishing at zero because of debts. (Sony/ATV bought out Jackson’s share of the catalog, which included the Beatles’ music, for $750 million in 2016.) Holmes maintained the assets’ value had to be for the time of Jackson’s death, while noting that was “much less than their value much later under the estate’s management.”

The New York Times observed that the ruling could have repercussions “as a guide for how celebrity estates may be valued, and for their tax liabilities,” especially for the currently disputed estates of Prince and Aretha Franklin. In a statement to the newspapers, the Jackson estate’s co-executors, John Branca and John McClain, said the ruling “clearly exposes how unreasonable the I.R.S. valuation was and provides a path forward to finally resolve this case in a fair and just manner.”

Feds seek forfeiture of ancient Roman statue that was headed to Kim Kardashian!

Kim Kardashian did not purchase an ancient Roman sculpture that federal authorities are trying to seize after it was imported to the U.S. five years ago, a representative for the reality TV star said Wednesday.

Italian officials think the sculpture, described as "Fragment of Myron's Samian Athena, Limestone, Roman, 1st – 2nd century A.D.," was originally looted from Italy, and they want it returned, according to a civil complaint for forfeiture filed in federal court in Los Angeles last week.

The case dates to 2016, when the antique statue arrived at the Port of Los Angeles and immediately caught the attention of U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials.

The broker provided a form to the CBP that listed the consignee, or buyer, and importer as "Kim Kardashian dba Noel Roberts Trust." The shipment, described as containing antiques, furniture and decorations, had 40 pieces in all valued at $745,882, the filing says.

The statue consists of the lower half of a human figure.Justice Department

Documents in the case do not allege any wrongdoing by Kardashian.

Speaking on Kardashian's behalf, a representative told NBC News that "this is the first that she has learned of its existence."

"We believe it may have been purchased using her name without authorization and because it was never received, she was unaware of the transaction. We encourage an investigation and hope that it gets returned to the rightful owners," the representative said.

The U.S. and Italy have an agreement designed to end the trafficking of pillaged cultural property that requires documentation for imports.

When the shipment arrived, customs officials were concerned that it was "possibly protected cultural property from Italy," according to the filing.

As authorities investigated, they found contradictions between documents that indicated that the statue originated from Italy and an unsworn affidavit stating that the statue did not originate there, the court filing says.

A month later, they seized the statue after the broker did not prove sufficient documentation to American authorities, according to the court filing.

Italy's Carabinieri for the Protection of Cultural Heritage told Homeland Security Investigations in 2016, and it wants the statue returned, the document says.

The U.S. government said in the filing that an Italian archaeologist in 2018 concluded that the piece showed signs of having been in Italy during the Roman Empire, and there are no records of its being legally exported as required under a 1909 law.

"Based on the information and scientific aspects the archaeologist provided, the archaeologist opined that the defendant statue was looted, smuggled and illegally exported from Italy," it says.

The Italian archaeologist determined that the statue is of "classical Peplophoros style," which represents a copy of an original Greek sculpture, the filing says

Florida Woman Arrested After Throwing Whopper and Telling Burger King Employee 'Shut Up You Black B*tch'!

An old, racist, white woman was charged with a felony after she attacked a fast-food employee with a Whopper — and hurled racial slurs.

via Complex: According to the Smoking Gun, 77-year-old Florida resident Judith Black was arrested over the weekend after she admitted to the assault that took place at a Sumter County Burger King. The police report states the incident occurred last Friday night, when Black reportedly became upset about the thickness of the tomato in her sandwich. The woman reportedly went to the front counter and expressed her frustration to a Black staffer. The employee told officers she informed Black that she couldn’t help until she stopped screaming, which prompted the unruly customer to throw the Whopper at the employee’s head and begin shouting racist slurs.

“Shut up you Black b*tch,” she allegedly told the staffer, before using the n-word multiple times as she left the restaurant with her husband. The victim’s account was corroborated by witnesses statements and surveillance video.

Another Burger King employee managed to get Black’s license plate number, which officers used to track Black at her home in a retirement community. Police say Black admitted to her actions and was subsequently placed under arrest. She was charged with battery. According to the Smoking Gun, the Whopper incident would’ve typically resulted in a misdemeanor; however, due to Black’s use of racist slurs, the charged was reclassified as a felony.

Black was released on $2,500 bond early Saturday.

Former Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin filed a motion for a new trial Tuesday after he was convicted last month of murdering George Floyd!

Chauvin’s attorney, Eric Nelson, is alleging pretrial publicity affected Chauvin's right to a fair trial.

The motion alleges the court abused its discretion by denying the requests for a change in venue and a new trial.

Because the court failed to sequester the jurors or "admonish them to avoid all media," Nelson's filing said, they were subjected not only to prejudicial publicity but also to "jury intimidation or potential fear of retribution."

"The court has already rejected many of these arguments and the State will vigorously oppose them," John Stiles, deputy chief of staff for Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, said in a statement Tuesday evening.

In total, the motion alleges eight abuses of discretion by the court.

Nelson's filing also accuses Minnesota state prosecutors of committing "pervasive, prejudicial prosecutorial misconduct" that also affected Chauvin's right to receive a fair trial.

The filing also requested an order “to impeach the verdict” on “the grounds that the jury committed misconduct, felt threatened or intimidated, felt race-based pressure during the proceedings, and/or failed to adhere to instructions during deliberations.”

Nelson said he had no comment on the motion. A jury found Chauvin guilty of second- and third-degree murder, as well as second-degree manslaughter, in Floyd's death in May 2020.

Last week, the first juror in Chauvin's trial spoke out and described the evidence upon which the seven women and five men convicted the former officer as "overwhelming."

Joe Exotic’s Ex-Husband Says Three-Way Wedding Was Staged!

Joe Exotic’s ex-husband has revealed that his three-way wedding with Exotic and another man was bogus.

John Finlay told the Sun that Exotic, Travis Maldonado, and himself faked the polyamorous marriage as a publicity stunt to land their own reality television series. The now 37-year-old said that he was “young and dumb and didn’t know a nail from a hole in the wall” when he first met Exotic when he began working at his big cat zoo. Finlay was 19 and said that he was “impressionable” and willing to “try anything once.”

Finlay has since cut off contact with Exotic and is married to a woman named Stormey, whom he says “completes” him. He maintains that when it came to his relationship with Exotic, he was only “in it for the fun,” but Stormey is truly his soulmate, despite still sporting several tattoos dedicated to Exotic.

“My only short-term goal is to get all my tattoos covered up,” Finlay assured. “It helps get rid of old memories, and I will feel a lot freer when they are gone.”

Finlay says that despite “Tiger King” depicting him as a “drugged-up hillbilly” and the fake wedding storyline, he would be willing to participate in a second series.

Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, remains in the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas. He is serving 22 years for plotting to kill his nemesis and fellow zoo owner Carole Baskin. The 58-year-old is going through a divorce with his latest husband, Dillon Passage.

Tristan Thompson Denies Sydney Chase’s Cheating Allegations, Reportedly Sends Cease And Desist Letter!

It looks like Tristan Thompson is interested in getting the courts involved in his latest accusations of infidelity!

While on Adam22‘s No Jumper podcast last month, Instagram model Sydney Chase mentioned being romantically linked to Tristan Thompson while he and Khloe Kardashian were together. However, Sydney Chase mentioned that the NBA star had lied about his relationship status and claimed to be single. She also claimed to have steamy texts to prove her story.

However, TMZ reports that Tristan Thompson has sent cease-and-desist letters to both Sydney Chase and Adam22 as a result of these allegations. The letter was drawn up by Tristan‘s lawyer, Marty Singer, who held nothing back! After referring to Sydney Chase‘s claims as “malicious defamatory fabrications,” the attorney claims:

“Mr. Thompson had no relationship with you whatsoever and he never sent you any such texts.”

Then, after Marty Singer asserts “It is obvious that [Sydney is] a liar,” he goes on to threaten her with a lawsuit. Specifically, he writes:

“[Y]ou [spread this story] at your peril since you may find yourself in court attempting to defend your indefensible misconduct.”

As a result of the cease and desist, Adam22 has removed the portion of his interview with Sydney that contains her allegations.

However, Sydney Chase has alleged that she did not receive a cease and desist letter as of yet. Speaking of Tristan‘s legal threats, she responded via Instagram:

“Let this be a lesson to not let anyone no matter the money or fame they have, to shut you down or tarnish your name.”

Despite this, TMZ claims that a source provided email evidence proving correspondence between Tristan and Sydney‘s legal parties on the matter. Sources also speculate that Sydney may be making these allegations for social media engagement and a possible reality TV deal. However, all statements are alleged as of now.

Diplo Sues Ex Over Alleged Harassment, Revenge Porn!

Diplo is suing his ex over alleged harrassment toward both him and his family.

In court documents recently obtained by TMZ, the DJ accuses his ex Shelly Auguste of being a “relentless and unstable fan who manipulated herself into” his life. He also accuses her of sending sexually suggestive messages to his family, making fake social media accounts, sending explicit photographs and videos of him to his loved ones and making him fearful enough to sell his home last month.

Auguste, who dated Diplo in 2019 but argues that they’ve been talking since 2014, told TMZ that Diplo’s filing is a way for him to ger revenge over a restraining order she filed. She also claims that she has text messages that Diplo sent her and that “the truth will prevail.”

Diplo also alleges that Auguste sent the mother of his child racist texts, calling her an “ugly dark skin bitch” and telling her to “Go kill yourself I know I see right through you you’re not gorgeous.”Auguste denies sending the racist text mentioned in the suit, according to TMZ.

Joji and Diplo Deal With a Difficult Boy Band in the Video for “Daylight”

Diplo got a restraining order against Auguste in December, before she also got one against him over more alleged revenge porn. Diplo denied those accusations.

“As this Complaint makes clear, my client and his family have been harassed, stalked and abused by Ms. Auguste for far too long – and it’s time for the courts to step in and put an end to her appalling and dangerous behavior,” Diplo’s manager Bryan Freedman told TMZ.
