When asked if he was nervous about leaving the show:
Not at all, because that’s what was meant. Simon was this bomb of a one-season antagonist, to be reformed and to find his true self through Daphne. I think one of the bravest things about the romance genre is allowing people a happy ending.
About his journey as an actor:
I’ve been in more Regency duels than I ever thought I would or could. I didn’t think it was possible, and that’s my mistake for not believing in that and not accepting my own responsibility to make it possible through what we do as actors. I’m pleased that I’ve taken a couple of good first steps into what seems to be an ever-widening pool of possibility, and long may that continue.

#RHOA: Porsha Williams Reveals She Got a Tattoo of Fiancé Simon Guobadia's Middle Name on Her Neck!
Porsha Williams has made her love for fiancé Simon Guobadia permanent.
While appearing on FOX's Dish Nation, the 39-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta star revealed that she got her soon-to-be-husband's middle name tattooed on her neck.
The revelation came about as Williams and her fellow costars discussed how Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris all got matching tattoos. After costar Sherri Shepherd joked about how her son Jeffrey wouldn't care if she got a tattoo in his honor, Williams said, "I got a tattoo. I think it's a great way to show when you love someone."
"I got my fiancé's middle name tattooed on my neck," Williams added, before Shepherd, 54, then asked what the reasoning was behind getting it in that specific spot.
"Right here, it don't hurt," Williams said. "I don't like no pain. Right here it doesn't hurt and, you know, I think that's cute."
Guobadia — who is the estranged husband of Williams' RHOA costar Falynn Guobadia — announced that he and Williams were engaged on May 10, just a month after the couple started seeing one another.
"I asked her to marry me because we checked ALL of each other's boxes, and then some," he wrote on Instagram.
"Our relationship began a month ago—yes we are crazy in love," Williams wrote in an Instagram post that same night, alongside a selfie with Simon. "I know it's fast but we are living life each day to its fullest."
"I choose happiness every morning and every night," the mom of one added. "Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes. He makes me so happy and to me, that is what matters most."

Lady Gaga’s Born This Way is getting a special rerelease. Late last night (May 27), the pop star announced her iconic sophomore album will receive a 10th-anniversary reissue next month. The 2-disc set, arriving June 18, includes the album's 14 original cuts in addition to a second disc with six reimagined versions of Born This Way songs featuring artists who represent and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Among the musicians featured on the 10th-anniversary release is New Orleans bounce legend Big Freedia, who remixed Gaga's smash hit song “Judas."
“Judas was my favorite song when it came out originally, so I really wanted to cover,” Freedia said in a statement. “To me, ‘Judas’ is a love song about when someone does you dirty. I’ve sure had my experience with that. Who can’t relate?”
“Marry the Night," "Highway Unicorn (Road to Love)," "Yoü and I," "The Edge of Glory," and " Born This Way (The Country Road Version)” have all been confirmed to get remixes with featured artists to be announced in the coming weeks.
Earlier this week, Gaga honored the 10-year anniversary of her legendary album Born This Way on May 23, which was officially inaugurated “Born This Way Day” by the city of West Hollywood.
The pop icon was present for the celebratory occasion and was also presented with the key to the city for her global impact as a supporter of and an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community.
"Thank you for this key. You've been — I'm sure this will sound cheesy to some people, not to me — you've been the motherf—king key to my heart for a long time," Gaga told a cheering crowd in her acceptance speech. "I'll honor this and I'll treasure this, and I promise I'll always be here for this day."

Less than two months after his tragic death, DMX’s eighth album Exodus has arrived. JAY-Z and Nas join forces on “Bath Salts,” while Snoop Dogg appears on the Marvin Gaye-sampled “Take Control.” Moneybagg Yo fills in for Pop Smoke on “Money Money Money,” and DMX’s youngest son Exodus Simmons joins his father on “Walking in the Rain.” The 13-track project closes with a vulnerable DMX rapping to his children about his struggles on “Letter to My Son” featuring Usher.
X passed away on April 9, a week after suffering a heart attack. After his death, Swizz felt obligated to finish what he and X started.
“I wanted to get him on the level that he deserved to be on, minus the trials and tribulations that he’s been dealing with since 14 years old,” the producer told The New York Times. “He still had more gas in the car. And it was like, man, we can still play in the race. That’s why the features feel like that, from Bono to Alicia Keys to Lil Wayne to JAY-Z and Nas. Surrounding him with a supporting cast of people that’s on that greatness level.”
Recording for the album picked up after DMX’s Verzuz battle with Snoop Dogg in July and finished almost two months before X’s death. “I couldn’t sleep knowing that he wasn’t at his full potential,” added Swizz. “Because X has been fighting his habit since 14, so when the world first heard X, he was fighting the same fight…I was like, I’ve got to fix this. That was a driver for me, because X created a lot of opportunities for a lot of people, myself included.”

This likely won’t be the last we hear from the Ruff Ryders legend. Swizz hinted that more music may be on the way including a possible gospel project. “He wanted to end up in the spiritual zone with his music,” Swizz revealed during a recent album listening.
#RIP: Gavin MacLeod, ‘Love Boat’ Captain and ‘Mary Tyler Moore Show’ Star, Dies at 90!
Gavin MacLeod, a sitcom veteran who played seaman “Happy” Haines on “McHale’s Navy,” Murray on “Mary Tyler Moore” and the very different, vaguely patrician Captain Stubing on “The Love Boat,” has died. He was 90.
MacLeod’s nephew, Mark See, confirmed his death to Variety. MacLeod died in the early morning on May 29. No cause of death was given, but MacLeod’s health had declined in recent months.
MacLeod played a relatively minor character on ABC hit “McHale’s Navy,” starring Ernest Borgnine, but as newswriter Murray Slaughter, he was certainly one of the stars of “Mary Tyler Moore,” appearing in every one of the classic comedy’s 168 episodes during its 1970-77 run on CBS. Murray was married to Marie (Joyce Bulifant) but was in love with Moore’s Mary Richards. His desk was right next to Mary’s in the WJM newsroom, so MacLeod was frequently in the shot during the sitcom, and Murray, like all the other characters, was richly developed — a hallmark of MTM shows.
MacLeod originally tried out for the part of Lou Grant, which went to Ed Asner, but claimed to be happy that he ended up playing Murray. He also auditioned for the role of Archie Bunker on “All in the Family,” but of reading the script for the first time, he wrote in his memoir, “Immediately I thought, This is not the script for me. The character is too much of a bigot. I can’t say these things.” When Norman Lear called the actor to say that Carroll O’Connor had gotten the part, MacLeod was relieved.
Asner paid tribute to MacLeod on Twitter, writing: “My heart is broken. Gavin was my brother, my partner in crime (and food) and my comic conspirator. I will see you in a bit Gavin. Tell the gang I will see them in a bit. Betty! It’s just you and me now.”
MacLeod had the great fortune to roll right from one hit show to another in 1977, when “Moore” ended and ABC’s “The Love Boat” began. The hourlong romantic comedy set on a cruise ship ran for 10 years. The actor’s Captain Stubing was known for his signature salute. Even after the end of the voyage in 1987, the actor returned for telepic “The Love Boat: A Valentine Voyage” in 1990 and for the “Reunion” episode of rebooted series “Love Boat: The Next Wave” in 1998.
MacLeod may, indeed, hold a record for consecutive long-running series: He went straight from “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” (168 episodes) to “The Love Boat” (249 episodes).
The New York Times said in 2010: “Perhaps no actor has embraced a signature role the way Mr. MacLeod has with Captain Stubing. Since ‘The Love Boat’ went off the air, he has been a spokesman for Princess Cruises.”
In 1997, the actor joined the rest of “The Love Boat” cast on “Oprah” in what was the first full cast appearance since the show was cancelled. Another cast reunion occurred in 2013 on “The Talk.”
MacLeod was born Allan George See in Mount Kisco, N.Y. His mother worked for Reader’s Digest, while his father was an electrician who was part Chippewa. He grew up in Pleasantville, N.Y., and went to Ithaca College, where he studied acting and graduated in 1952. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he moved to New York City and worked at Radio City Music Hall as an usher and elevator operator while seeking work as an actor. During this time he changed his name.
After a few uncredited film roles, MacLeod made his credited bigscreen debut in the 1958 Susan Hayward vehicle “I Want to Live,” playing a police lieutenant, then played a G.I. in Gregory Peck starrer “Pork Chop Hill” the next year. His supporting role in Blake Edwards’ WWII comedy “Operation Petticoat,” starring Cary Grant and Tony Curtis and focusing on the chaotic goings on aboard a submarine, gave the young actor a flavor of what he would be doing a few years later on “McHale’s Navy.” In the meantime he appeared in the 1960 thriller “Twelve Hours to Kill,” which starred future “I Dream of Jeannie” star Barbara Eden; Blake Edwards’ musical comedy “High Time,” starring Bing Crosby and Fabian; and the critically hailed but now forgotten Korean War film “War Hunt.” He also did a boatload of guest appearances on TV before his stint on “McHale’s Navy.”
MacLeod left “McHale’s Navy” in order to be able to appear in a supporting role in the excellent period adventure film “The Sand Pebbles,” starring Steve McQueen, and he appeared in a number of other films throughout the decade: “A Man Called Gannon” and Blake Edwards’ Peter Sellers comedy “The Party” in 1968; “The Thousand Plane Raid,” “The Comic” and “The Intruders” in 1969; and, in 1970, the World War II caper film “Kelly’s Heroes,” in which he played Moriarty, Oddball’s machine-gunner and mechanic.
In the meantime he was guesting on both dramas (“Perry Mason,” “Ben Casey,” “Ironside,” “Hawaii Five-O,” “The Big Valley”) and comedies (“The Andy Griffith Show,” “My Favorite Martian,” “Hogan’s Heroes”). In December 1961, he guested on “The Dick Van Dyke Show” in what was his first time working with Mary Tyler Moore.
After his years on “Mary Tyler Moore” and “The Love Boat,” MacLeod did not work on a steady basis — he did not have to.
He made an impression, however, in a 2000 episode of HBO prison drama “Oz” in which he played the Roman Catholic Cardinal Frances Abgott, with whom Rita Moreno’s nun Sister Pete discusses leaving the order. The actor had assumed a certain gravitas as Captain Stubing, even amid the silliness of “The Love Boat,” that made this role possible in a way that it couldn’t have been before.
In the 2000s MacLeod also guested on series including “The King of Queens,” “JAG,” “Touched by an Angel” and “That ’70s Show.”
MacLeod, who had appeared on Broadway in 1962 in “The Captains and the Kings,” also returned to stage work after “The Love Boat.” He toured with Michael Learned of “The Waltons” in A.R. Gurney’s “Love Letters,” and he appeared in musicals such as “Gigi” and “Copacabana” between 1997 and 2003. At a concert in 2008, he conducted the Colorado Symphony in Denver.
MacLeod was first married, from 1955-1972, to Joan Devore, with whom he had two sons and two daughters.
He married actress Patti Kendig in 1974. They divorced in 1982 but remarried in 1985.
During the mid-1980s, MacLeod and his second wife became Evangelical Christians, and the pair credited the religion for reuniting them. He wrote about it in his 1987 book “Back on Course, the Remarkable Story of a Divorce That Ended in Remarriage.” He and Kendig appeared in the Christian big-screen time-travel epic “Time Changer,” along with Hal Linden, in 2002, and he played the title role in the 2008 Christian film “The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry.”
His memoir “This Is Your Captain Speaking: My Fantastic Voyage Through Hollywood, Faith & Life,” was published in 2013.
He is survived by Kendig and four children by Devore.
Usher and Girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea Announce They're Expecting Baby No. 2!
Usher and Jenn Goicoechea are giving us a new reason to shout, "Yeah!" The 42-year-old pop star and his music-executive girlfriend walked the red carpet at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday, May 27, where Jenn showed off the baby bump in her black gown. In addition, Usher served as both host and performer for the ceremony.
This will be their second child, giving a younger sibling to 8-month-old daughter Sovereign, who the couple welcomed in September 2020. The "Yeah!" singer, who first sparked romance rumors with Jenn in fall 2019, also shares sons Usher Raymond V, 13, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, 12, with ex-wife Tameka Foster.
During a November appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Usher shared the first public photo of little Sovereign and pointed out he and the girl share the same Zodiac sign.
"She came out early," he explained. "She was scheduled to be a Scorpio but decided she had a different plan. Libras, you know—they kinda have their minds made up on what they wanna do."
At the time, Usher also said his sons were "excited about being big brothers," and that the star himself was looking forward to having another youngster to impress.
"As they get older, I'm less cool of a dad," he quipped. "So now I'm starting this whole cycle over again and I'm kind of the apple of her eye right now."
Caitlyn Jenner Stirs Up Controversy With Campaign Claims: I Will CANCEL Cancel Culture & Wake Up The Woke!
Caitlyn Jenner is still promoting her run for California Governor–and ruffling feathers in the process!
The decathlete and former reality star announced her political bid for California Governor last month, calling her campaign “Caitlyn for California.” A central part of her political bid has been anti-Gavin Newsom (current Governor) sentiment and a desire to diversify California’s political interests, claiming:
“California has been my home for nearly 50 years… But for the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by one-party rule that places politics over progress and special interests over people.”
Additionally, she stated she would“…turn this state around and finally clean up the damage Newsom has done to this state.”
Now, it appears as though Caitlyn Jenner is clarifying what she intends to do to “clean up the damage.” Yesterday (Thursday, May 27th), she issued a tweet in which she controversially declared her plans to undo cancel culture. She tweeted:
“When elected Governor of California, I will CANCEL, cancel culture and wake up the woke.”
It is unclear what exactly she intends to do to accomplish these sentiments, but it does look like Caitlyn Jenner is continuing to center her prospective political career around anti-“liberal” rhetoric.

Billy Porter is an actor, singer, director, composer, and playwright from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Bill Cosby Denied Parole; Won’t Participate In Required Sexually Violent Predator Treatment!
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court hasn’t ruled on whether Bill Cosby can leave prison or get a new trial on sex-crime charges, but the Keystone State’s Parole Board has made its opinion very clear.
“Following an interview with you and a review of your file, and having considered all matters required pursuant to the parole board, in the exercise of its discretion, has determined at this time that: you are denied parole/reparole,” the Board told the designated sexually violent predator in a letter earlier this month (read it here).
The state board cites several reasons for its decision to keep the 83-year-old legally blind actor once known as “America’s Dad” behind bars. In no small part, the negative recommendation by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections didn’t help Cosby’s cause, nor did the fact that he has refused to participate in, let alone complete, a required treatment program for “sex offenders and violence prevention.”
Cosby’s refusal to engage with the treatment program pretty much stymies any further parole hopes for him, the board also made clear. Which means he’ll likely remain locked up for a while unless Pennsylvania’s top court finds in his favor.
Back in September 2018, The Cosby Show creator-star was sentenced to no less than three years and no more than 10 years in prison after being found guilty in his second trial for the 2004 rape of former Temple University employee Andrea Constand.
Incarcerated at Pennsylvania’s State Correctional Institution at Phoenix for nearly three years, Cosby has been fighting the conviction almost since the moment he was sentenced. Coming up short time and again and even failing to get early release because of the coronavirus, the disgraced comedian finally scored a win of sorts in June 2020 when the Pennsylvania Supreme Court agreed to hear his appeal on the rape conviction.
Conducted virtually in December due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis and with Cosby absent, the 75-minute appeal hearing centered on prior testimony from five other women during the second trial, 5th Amendment rights and a 2005 press release from the prior DA of Pennsylvania’s Montgomery County, for better or worse.
The seven-judge PA Supreme Court has not released an opinion on the appeal.
Cosby’s reps were not so reticent today.
“The news that Actor and Comedian Bill Cosby’s parole has been ‘denied’ by the Pennsylvania State Parole Board is not a surprise to Mr. Cosby, his family, his friends and/or his legal team,” spokesperson Andrew Wyatt said Thursday as the May 11 decision became public.
“It was brought to our attention by Mr. Cosby that over the past months, members of the PA State Parole Board had met with him and empathically stated, ‘if he did not participate in SVP [Sexually Violent Predator] courses that his parole would be denied,’” the Purpose PR boss added of his longtime client. “Mr. Cosby has vehemently proclaimed his innocence and continues to deny all allegations made against him, as being false, without the sheer evidence of any proof. Today, Mr. Cosby continues to remain hopeful that the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court will issue an opinion to vacate his conviction or warrant him a new trial.”
Although Cosby admitted in his 2005 depositions to giving Constand several Benadryl pills on the night of the alleged assault in his Philadelphia-area mansion the year before, the comic consistently has insisted through his 2015 arrest, various probes, two trials and the 2018 sentencing hearing that the encounter was consensual.
More than 60 women have claimed that Cosby non-consensually drugged and assaulted them over the decades with a mix of pills and alcohol — as Constand testified was the tactic used on her. Unlike many of those women, some of whom were among the onlookers at the two trials and the sentencing hearing in the fall of 2018, Cosby paid Constand millions in a once-confidential settlement about 10 years before the criminal case was opened six years ago by the current Montgomery County DA Kevin Steele.
BJ Thomas, 'Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head' Singer, Dead at 78!
B.J. Thomas, the country music singer best known for the hits "Hooked on a Feeling" and "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head," died Saturday. He was 78. Thomas' representatives told Variety he died at his Arlington, Texas home from complications of stage four lung cancer.
Thomas announced he was diagnosed with lung cancer in March. "I’m so blessed to have had the opportunity to record and perform beautiful songs in pop, country, and gospel music, and to share those wonderful songs and memories around the world with millions of you,” he said in a statement on March 23. "I ask all of you for your prayers and that my music can live on with you."
Thomas was born in Hugo, Oklahoma, and raised in the Houston area. He sang choir as a teenager before performing in several bands during the early 1960s. In 1966, his band The Triumphs released a hit cover of Hank Williams' "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry." Thomas released his first solo album that same year, but commercial success eluded him until 1968 when he released "The Eyes of a New York Woman" and "Hooked on a Feeling." In 1969, he was chosen to sing "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head" for the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The song won Hal David and Burt Bacharach the Oscar for Best Original Song. The track was also a monster commercial success, selling over 1 million copies.
Some of Thomas' other hits include "Rock and Roll Lullaby," "I Just Can't Help Believing," "Everybody's Out of Town," and "Mighty Clouds of Joy." In 1976, he began recording gospel music, making him one of the top-selling contemporary Christian artists of the 1970s. In the 1980s, he continued earning country hits with "Whatever Happened to Old-Fashioned Love," "Two Car Garage," and "New Love from an Old Lover." He also joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1981. Thomas also performed "As Long as We Got Each Other," the theme song for Growing Pains.
Thomas earned several Grammy Awards during his career, including Best Inspirational Performance in 1977, 1978, 1979, and 1980. In 2014, the Recording Academy added his recording of "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" to the Grammy Hall of Fame. The singer is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gloria; their three daughters; and four grandchildren. Donations can be made in his memory to Mission Arlington, Tarrant Area Food Bank, and the SPCA of Texas.
Jamie Foxx’s Daughter Corinne On Battling Anxiety In The Spotlight of Having a Famous Father!
Corinne Foxx has spoken up about what it’s really like to grow up with a famous father.
“I felt like people were always looking at me, were always expecting me to turn out a certain way. Because of that, I went the opposite realm,” the 27-year-old daughter of actor Jamie Foxx explained in an interview with “ET.” “I became very focused on perfection and always being in this very cookie cutter type of way, and that put a lot of pressure and anxiety on me to uphold this standard of never messing up.”
Foxx, a professional DJ who co-stars with her 53-year-old father on “Beat Shazam,” decided to speak up about her anxiety in honor of May’s Mental Health Awareness month.
She went on to explain that the pressure “affected her mental health” and is something she is still “working through to unlearn those behaviors and those patterns.”
Foxx also revealed that she has been in therapy since she was just 14 years old. Unfortunately, online bullying contributed to the anxiety she was already feeling from growing up in a famous family.
“A lot of people assume things about you, assume that you don’t have your own struggles, and of course I’ve been incredibly, incredibly privileged,” Foxx shared. “I’m aware of that, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not a human being. It doesn’t mean that I don’t have my own past and things I’ve went through and then also just genetic predispositions to things that are out of my control.”
This isn’t the first time Foxx has spoken up about the importance of mental health. Followers of her Instagram account will be familiar with her active presence online, including sharing tips on how to achieve overall wellness.

Fantasia Barrino is opening up about the complications newborn daughter Keziah is facing just days after welcoming her into the world Sunday alongside husband Kendall Taylor. The American Idol alum shared on Instagram Wednesday that her baby was born "a little too early," but is a "fighter" just like her mom. Sharing a photo from her pregnancy, Barrino wrote in the caption, "The Wife of A King, the Mother of Two Kings and Two Queens. With it all comes A Fight and Strength like No Other."

Barrino is also mother to Dallas Xavier, 8, and Zion Quari, 19, from a previous relationship, while Taylor is also a father to son Treyshaun. The couple welcomed Keziah Sunday, sharing the news on social media alongside an elephant-themed photoshoot.
"The Elephant is the animal I chose to surround [Keziah] with because it represents patience, strength, power and remembrance," Barrino wrote of the animal's importance. "Just a few of the qualities that her presence has brought into our lives and this world. We were patient waiting on you to enter this world and we will always remember the strength that it took for me and [Taylor] to create something as powerful as your life itself." Wishing a happy birthday to her newborn, she ended with a blessing: "And may God keep and cover you for the rest of your days!"
Barrino announced her pregnancy in November, sharing the following month on The Tamron Hall Show that it took her years to conceive naturally. "This is a three-year journey we've been on," she revealed at the time. During those years, Barrino consulted with a doctor who told her one of her fallopian tubes had closed. Being told "now that one is open, the other one is closed," Barrino said she and her husband decided to take a break and "let God be God."
"I kid you not, I forgot about it," she admitted. "And then I woke up one night, and I was just like, 'Something's different.'" Taking six pregnancy tests, Barrino remembered throwing one at Taylor when it came back positive. "I was so excited," the singer explained of her reaction.

Tamar Braxton Opens Up About Rekindling Relationship With Former ‘The Real’ Co-Hosts And Talks New Music!
Tamar Braxton opens up about rekindling her relationship with her former “The Real” co-hosts and returning to music.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Braxton, 44, interact with her former co-hosts from the daytime talk show “The Real.” But, earlier this month, Adrienne Bailon posted a video of her and Tamera Mowry-Housley meeting up for the first time in over a year. In the comments, Braxton said, “I miss you too…& so much!” With a heart emoji.
During a chat with Entertainment Tonight, the songstress explained the rocky relationship with the ladies over the years. “For a while, Tamera and I relationship has been so strained, we even stopped following each other on social media,” Braxton told ET.”
She continued: “And when I tell you it was really a moment that I captured of the two of them and it just really reminded me of old times, that was so beautiful and so magical. And I remember I used to be a part of that. And to be honest, I miss those girls. They were like my sisters. And so when I saw that moment, I just reacted out of what I saw, and it really did help rekindle Tamera and my relationship. I’m really so happy that I got a chance to talk to her and text with her and catch up with her, and I’m just so grateful that time heals all wounds. And we have a chance to really grow up and stay under construction and elevate to the next level of our lives.”
Braxton said she never received answers about her removal from the show but said she hopes to rekindle lost relationships. “I really hope to rekindle all my relationships, and then we could probably do something for the public,” she adds. “But I think personally there’s a lot of things that needs to be said, and a lot of hugs that needs to be had. And these are really old wounds that run really deep because we really, truly loved each other. And I don’t know. You never know.”
Nevertheless, the singer said she is working on two new albums. “I’ve said this before, this is my best work yet, but this is my best Tamar yet, so therefore this is my super best work yet,” she proclaims. “This is me living in my truth, being this new Tamar, this newfound relationship with myself, and I’m really loving the music that’s coming out of me now. It’s great.”
Southwest Airlines Permanently Bans Unruly Passenger Who Knocked Out Flight Attendants Teeth!
The passenger who was caught on video attacking a flight attendant during a Southwest Airlines flight has been permanently banned from the airline.
According to The New York Post, the woman was captured in a now-viral video punching a flight attendant and knocking out two of her teeth during a flight from Sacramento to San Diego last Sunday.
The unruly passenger identified as 28-year-old Vyvianna Quinonez, attacked the flight attendant who repeatedly admonished her and her family for not wearing masks after the short flight landed in San Diego.
Southwest Airlines officials announced that Quinonez would be barred from the airline permanently in a memo to their flight attendants.
Sonya Lacore, Southwest’s vice president of in-flight operations, spoke directly to Flight Attendants concerns in a company memo saying, “As we’ve communicated previously, we do have a process to permanently restrict passengers from traveling on Southwest, and please know that the passenger involved in the most recent incident has been advised that she may no longer fly on Southwest Airlines.”
Quinonez now faces a felony charge of battery causing serious bodily injury for her violent attack, the Port of San Diego Harbor Police Department said.
