Vice Presidential Kamala Harris Cover For Vogue Magazine Is Sparking Controversy!

A Vogue cover featuring Vice President-elect Kamala Harris was pilloried for what many felt was an undignified image, even though it embodied her signature look.

What was heralded as a triumph celebrating a historic election has morphed into controversy as Vogue’s February cover featuring Harris got pilloried by readers who felt the photos undermined the dignity of her achievement as the first woman, first Black American and first Asian American to hold the post.

There were two choices of cover, as USA Today described, one depicting the 56-year-old, soon-to-be Vice President in a powder-blue Michael Kors suit, arms crossed, sporting a lapel American flag pin on the lapel. In the second, she’s in a more casual jacket wearing her signature Converse sneakers and white pearls, against a backdrop of pink and green that the magazine said are the colors of her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha.

“The team at Vogue loved the images Tyler Mitchell shot and felt the more informal image captured Vice President-elect Harris’s authentic, approachable nature – which we feel is one of the hallmarks of the Biden/Harris administration,” Vogue told USA Today. “To respond to the seriousness of this moment in history, and the role she has to play leading our country forward, we’re celebrating both images of her as covers digitally.”

Harris has been photographed numerous times trotting around in Converse All Stars, but that didn’t stop social media detractors from describing the photo as “disrespectful,” “poor quality” and “a washed-out mess,” as Women’s Wear Daily reported.

The profile itself focused on Harris’ priorities for the nation, ranging from getting a handle on the coronavirus pandemic, to strengthening public health systems in general. Harris had not weighed in officially by Sunday on the ultimate choice of cover.

#RHOA #TWIRL: Kenya Moore Reveals Which of Her Co-Stars She'd Sleep With, Porsha isn’t One of Them!

Apparently, Kenya Moore is (hypothetically) interested in a Kandi Koated Night.

The latest episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the ladies are gathered at an engagement dinner for Cynthia Bailey and her then-fiancΓ© (now husband) Mike Hill. You know, the dinner Kenya planned, but asked Kandi Burruss to "host" because she feared her co-stars might not show up if it were her name on the invite? Well, everyone did show up, and just in time for Kenya to (randomly??) reveal who from the cast she’d go to bed with… if she were into women.

"Listen, I’m gonna say this and I will never speak of it again, that there are three ladies at this table that could get it," Kenya announces to the group, eliciting oohs, huhs and maybe even an eye roll.

"What?" Kandi asks, looking down the dinner table at Kenya and season 13 newbie LaToya Ali. "Y'all gonna be bumping coochies down there?"

"You want me?" Porsha Williams then asks, to which Kenya quickly replies, "Porsha's not on the list."

"I'll have her beat up in bed," Porsha mutters, seemingly in reference to the pair’s physical altercation at the season 6 reunion.

"Kandi is one," Kenya then tells the group. "Honestly, I think it would be the best sex I’d never had."

The conversation gets so steamy that Porsha proclaims, "Honey, these people are tingling and wanting and, uh! I ain’t never seen a horny bunch like this."

It’s a freer Kenya than fans are used to seeing. Season 13 will see the soon-to-be 50-year-old figuring out her life after separating from her husband, Marc Daly.

"I am in a very different place in my life," she promises. "I will not bow down to a man. I will not beg for love and attention and those things kind of come from, as I've learned through the season and we reveal, things that happened to me when I was a child, in my childhood and what I needed and what I didn't get and how that manifests itself in my relationships. So, it's a really interesting journey if you follow along."

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.

#HipHopNews: Dababy Arrested During Shopping Spree After Police Find Gun!

DaBaby has reportedly been arrested during a shopping spree on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles.

According to a report from TMZ on Thursday evening (Jan. 7), the "Rockstar" rapper, born Jonathan Kirk, and three others were surrounded by members of the Beverly Hills Police Department after exiting the Moncler store on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles yesterday. They were preparing to pull away in Baby's car, but were stopped by law enforcement, who searched DaBaby's vehicle and reportedly found a gun. Someone in the Moncler store reportedly called authorities, telling them DaBaby and his crew had weapons on them.

Following the search, police discovered one handgun. The North Carolina rapper was charged with carrying a loaded firearm, which is considered a misdemeanor.

Although everyone who was with the rapper was detained while police searched the vehicle, DaBaby is reportedly the only one that was arrested and charged.

The Blame It on Baby rhymer was booked at 5:52 p.m. PT and released at 7:59 p.m. PT. He received a bail in the amount of $35,000. His next court date has been scheduled for Jan. 11.

DaBaby found himself in a number of legal issues last year including assaulting a hotel employee after asking the man not to record him, slapping a woman who reportedly hit him with her phone at his show, was accused of attacking the driver of his Sprinter van and more.

Around this time last year, DaBaby was arrested for battery in Miami for a robbery involving a club promoter. The promoter was accused of shorting the rapper on money that was owed to him and as a result, the man was allegedly beaten up and robbed by members of DaBaby's team.

'Sex And The City' Is Coming Back To HBO Max — Minus Samantha Jones!

Break out the Manolo Blahniks: Carrie and her crew are coming back. Well, sort of. On Sunday, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis shared a teaser promoting a new limited-edition series follow-up to Sex and the City, titled And Just Like That..., due to air on HBO Max. Kim Cattrall, who has famously clashed with Parker and made plain her objections to reprising her role of saucy Samantha Jones, did not, and will not take part in the revival.

The short trailer features footage of New York City as well as a laptop screen (presumably belonging to writer Carrie Bradshaw) typing out “and just like that ... the story continues.”

“I couldn’t help but wonder ... where are they now?” Parker, who played Carrie in the wildly popular HBO series from 1998 to 2004 and in its two film versions, teased fans.

It’s unclear when the 10-episode series will premiere, though Variety reports that production will begin in late spring. Michael Patrick King will return as executive producer, a role Parker, Davis and Nixon will also take on.

“I grew up with these characters, and I can’t wait to see how their story has evolved in this new chapter, with the honesty, poignancy, humor and the beloved city that has always defined them,” Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO Max, said in a statement.

Parker, Nixon and Davis (as well as Cattrall) were last seen on-screen together in the critically panned 2010 sequel Sex and the City 2.

As the reboot sees the pals now in their 50s, we can’t help but wonder: Will Carrie still be married to Big (Chris Noth)? Is Miranda going to run for governor like Nixon did in real life? And is Charlotte still a wide-eyed romantic? And what happened to Samantha

Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey Make Their Relationship Instagram Official!

The sexiest man alive is now off the market. Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey got their 2021 off to a steamy start, as both stars made their relationship Instagram official on Sunday, Jan. 10.

The 33-year-old Just Mercy actor shared a pair of pics that appeared to show them together at night in front of twinkly lights. In one of the pics, they seem about to kiss.

A handful of minutes later, Lori shared a post featuring two different Polaroids of the twosome. One of the images shows People's 2020 Sexiest Man Alive about to kiss his girlfriend's cheek as she has a huge smile on her face.

Michael did not include a caption for his post, while the model and daughter of Steve Harvey's wife Marjorie added a heart emoji for hers.

Little actress Marsai Martin was among those offering her support, as she commented on Michael's post with a heart emoji and three exclamation points.

Meanwhile, reality TV star Savannah Chrisley wrote "Love" on Lori's post, adding a heart emoji.

This is the first time either Michael or Lori have publicly posted about the romance, but they certainly have been enjoying plenty of quality time together recently.

They were photographed exiting a plane together in Salt Lake City on Dec. 30, and both shared videos and pics to their Instagram Story of their snowboarding adventures, although neither included the other person in the posts.

The couple was also seen stepping off a plane together over Thanksgiving weekend in Atlanta, where Lori's family resides.

Michael does not tend to go public with his relationships, while Lori was with rapper Future in 2019. She was rumored to have dated Sean "Diddy" Combs and his son Justin Combs in 2018

Barack Obama Calls Capitol Hill Riots A 'Moment Of Great Dishonor'!

The events of January 6 will go down in history books for decades to come. As lawmakers reviewed the results of the electoral college, supporters of President Donald Trump stormed the United States Capitol. Rioters eventually surged through several federal buildings and lawmakers were evacuated to off-site locations. Around the country, celebrities, politicians and others reacted to the incident. Joining in, former President Barack Obama offered his thoughts on the matter.

"History will rightly remember today's violence at the Capitol, incited by a sitting president who has continued to baselessly lie about the outcome of a lawful election, as a moment of great dishonor and shame for our nation," former President Barack Obama.

"For two months now, a political party and its accompanying media ecosystem have too often been unwilling to tell their followers the truth — that this was not a particularly close election and that President-Elect Biden will be inaugurated on January 20. Their fantasy narrative has spiraled further and further from reality, and it builds upon years of sown resentments. Now we're seeing the consequences, whipped up into a violent crescendo,"

The best-selling author did not stop at addressing the President and supporters. He also took at aim Republican members of Congress for their actions.

"Right now, Republican leaders have a choice made clear in the desecrated chambers of democracy. They can continue down this road and keep stoking the raging fires. Or they can choose reality and take the first steps toward extinguishing the flames. They can choose America," he continued.

While Obama took aim at Republicans on Capitol Hill, he did applaud Republican Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler for abiding by the results of the recent runoff Senate elections.

"Their voices add to the examples of Republican state and local election officials in states like Georgia who've refused to be intimidated and have discharged their duties honorably," he stated.

"We need more leaders like these — right now and in the days, weeks, and months ahead as President-Elect Biden works to restore a common purpose to our politics. It's up to all of us as Americans, regardless of party, to support him in that goal."

Fans Rip Keri Hilson For Questioning Trump's Twitter Ban!

If a person tries to stage a coup of the American government, then that instigator shouldn't be able to have a public platform again. However, it appears Keri Hilson doesn't agree with this seemingly logical consequence.

While social media was celebrating Donald Trump's Twitter ban, Hilson took to Instagram where she questioned if it was ethical to limit the sitting president's "freedom of speech."

"A democracy must include freedom of speech," Hilson wrote on her Instagram Stories. "Imagine other leaders or popular figures not being able to voice their opinion if it opposes the majority of world leaders...Our freedom of speech is being taken from us."

As expected, this didn't sit well with Hilson's fans and Trump's opposition. They took to social media where they ripped the singer for not taking Trump's actions into consideration or fully understanding the power the president has to communicate with the country outside of Twitter.

After Hilson's comments went viral, the singer ventured into The Shade Room's comment section to clear things up.

"For the record, I don't give a f*ck about Trump," the singer wrote. "I recognize why he was removed. It's the wider view that's scary to me." Hilson went on to explain that she has "influential" friends that might oppose the public opinion and she doesn't want them to be suspended for speaking their mind.

Along with Twitter, Trump has been banned from a host of other sites including Facebook, Google, YouTube, Shopify, and others.

The U.S House Begins To Impeach Trump, Again!

With just nine days left before President Trump's term comes to an end, the House of Representatives is forging ahead with plans to try to remove the president from office following his role in his supporters' violent attack on the U.S. Capitol last week.

On Monday, House Democrats filed an impeachment resolution charging Trump with inciting an insurrection. A vote is expected this week, likely on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, during a pro forma session Monday morning, House Democrats attempted to pass by unanimous consent a measure calling on Vice President Pence to invoke the Constitution's 25th Amendment, relieving President Trump of his duties until his term ends next week.

But of course, unanimous consent only works if there is no objection and as expected, a Republican did object: Rep. Alex Mooney, R-W.V.

In a letter to the Democratic caucus Sunday evening, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said if there were to be an objection on Monday, the House would then debate and vote on the same resolution on Tuesday.

Pelosi said she's asking Pence to respond within 24 hours, and then Democrats would proceed with the impeachment process, which would come more than a year after they impeached Trump for his role in the Ukraine affair.

House Democrats' article of impeachment cites both Trump's incitement of his supporters on Wednesday and his call to Georgia Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, in which Trump encouraged the official to "find" enough votes to overturn the election in the state.

"President Trump gravely endangered the security of the United States and its institutions of government," the Democrats' impeachment resolution states. "He threatened the integrity of the democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transition of power, and imperiled a coordinate branch of government." As of Sunday evening, over 200 House members had signed on as co-sponsors of the resolution.

On Sunday, House Majority Whip James Clyburn, D-S.C., suggested it could be months before the impeachment measure, should it pass, is sent to the Senate — a move that would enable the upper chamber to begin acting on President-elect Joe Biden's early legislative agenda and confirm his Cabinet nominees before undertaking a trial.

On Monday, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, the number two Democrat in the House, told reporters on Capitol Hill that he would like to send the impeachment measure to the Senate as soon as possible although ultimately, that decision rests with Pelosi.

Given the timeline and required action from the Senate, removing Trump from office is unlikely — if not impossible. If the narrowly divided Senate still sought to vote to convict Trump, it could also seek to bar him from holding office in the future.

The effort to remove Trump from office was set in motion on Jan. 7, when Pelosi and Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., lambasted Trump for his role in the violence and pandemonium the day before, and called for his removal via the 25th Amendment.

On Jan. 6, Trump rallied his supporters in the nation's capital, repeating false claims that the Nov. 3 election was rigged against him and saying it was "stolen from you." He encouraged them to march to Capitol Hill, where lawmakers were conducting their constitutional duty to certify Biden's Electoral College win.

The extremists broke into the Capitol, forcing Congress to take an emergency recess, and wreaked havoc, destruction and violence. Five people died.

Even after his supporters laid siege to the Capitol, Trump soft-pedaled his first response, telling them in a video message that they were "very special."

He later described it as "a heinous attack," without acknowledging or taking responsibility for the role he played in inciting the crowd.

Trump's actions prompted immediate calls for his removal from both political opponents and some Republicans once considered allies.

Pelosi and Schumer called on Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment and said if he failed to do so, Congress was prepared to move forward with impeachment.

"Nearly fifty years ago, after years of enabling their rogue President, Republicans in Congress finally told President Nixon that it was time to go," Pelosi wrote on Jan. 8 in a letter to her Democratic colleagues. "Today, following the President's dangerous and seditious acts, Republicans in Congress need to follow that example and call on Trump to depart his office – immediately. If the President does not leave office imminently and willingly, the Congress will proceed with our action."

White House spokesman Judd Deere has called the impeachment effort "politically motivated" and said it would "only serve to further divide our great country."

GOP Rep. Dusty Johnson of South Dakota told NPR's Rachel Martin that while he believes Trump "deserves a greater than average share of the blame" for the rioting at the Capitol, he also puts the blame on the political rhetoric in the country that he says has built up over a long time.

"[We should ask] in this moment, what is the right thing to do for the country? And it may well be that impeachment could create far more division, and that a different accountability mechanism would be more appropriate."

Diddy's house has been burgled. Sean Combs wearing sunglasses posing for the camera: Diddy© Bang Showbiz Diddy

The 'I'll Be Missing You' hitmaker's abode in the Toluca Lake area of Los Angeles was targeted by thieves who prised open a side door to get into the building.

This triggered the security system and a caretaker discovered someone had broken in, and according to TMZ, it was clear that someone had "rummaged through the house". Police were called and took a burglary report.

However, it is currently unclear whether anything was taken but a family member will be visiting the property to check.

The property was the home of Diddy's former partner, Kim Porter, who was found dead at the house in November 2018 aged 47 after suffering from pneumonia, and the rap mogul isn't at the house very often these days.

Dr. Dre Still In ICU Almost A Week After Brain Aneurysm!

Dr. Dre is still in intensive care, one week after he was rushed to the hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm, and doctors are still trying to figure out what happened.

Sources connected to Dre with direct knowledge tell the site TMZ ... Dre's where he's been since last Monday -- in ICU at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. Our sources say doctors continue to do a battery of tests to get to the root problem. Doctors also want him in ICU in case, God forbid, he suffers another aneurysm ... if that happens, time would be of the essence.

We don't know if Dre has gone into surgery, but that's usually the case to stop bleeding.

As for his current state ... the music legend is resting comfortably, and perhaps even more encouraging, our sources say docs have cautiously informed his family that a "bad outcome" doesn't appear to be on the horizon.

TMZ broke the story ... Dre suffered the aneurysm at his Pacific Palisades home Monday and was rushed by ambulance to Cedars.

If things stay that way, Dre is truly lucky -- brain aneurysms result in death around 50% of the time, and for those who survive ... about 2/3 suffer some sort of permanent neurological deficit.

Following the Wednesday riot, the policing within the U.S. Capitol was bound to have some administrative change.

‘Bridgerton' Actor Rege-Jean Page Addresses Rumors He's Dating Co-Star Phoebe Dynevor!

Sparks fly on-screen whenever Rege-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor share a moment in Netflix's latest hit series Bridgerton but are they dating in real life? Page played coy when asked about romance rumors between the two stars in a joint interview with Access Hollywood on Saturday. In the series, Dynevor plays Daphne Bridgerton while Page plays Duke Simon Bassett. The two pretend to be engaged early in the show so that Daphne can avoid the men her brother tries to set her up with and Simon doesn't face questions about his vow not to marry.

"I think that everything you need to know is on camera," Page, 30, said with a laugh during the interview. Page said the "beautiful scripts" were responsible for the sparks between himself and Dynevor, 25. "The sparky words, scripts, and material are more than enough," Page added. Dynebor stayed quiet while Page dodged the question. Access Hollywood host Kit Hoober joked the two were "actually together," prompting Page to add, "We're playing footsie under here." Of course, the two were really doing their interviews from separate locations.

Bridgerton is the biggest project for Dyvenor so far, after recurring roles in Younger, Dickensian, and The Village. She made her acting debut in the BBC series Waterloo Road in 2009. In a recent interview with Grazia U.K., Deynevor said she worked with an intimacy coordinator to work on the sex scenes with Page. Their first is in episode six, and Dynevor described shooting it as "safe and fun."

"You choreograph it like a stunt or a dance," Dynevor explained. "It’s crazy to me that that hasn’t been there in the past. I’ve done sex scenes before that I can’t believe I did: it was only five or six years ago, but it would not be allowed now." She also called Page's casting "perfect" and no one really thought about Bridgerton's now-famous color-blind casting while filming. "It never felt intentional," she said. "Great people were cast in great roles."

As for Page, his success on the show has inspired some to think he might make a great James Bond, notes Us Weekly. While on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Page said this was "one of the more pleasant rumors" he's seen on the web. He called the buzz a "merit badge," adding, "I’m very glad to be in the company of such people who have the badge, but it’s just a badge."

Bridgerton is based on the novels by Julia Quinn and is set in 1700s England. The show was created by Chris Van Dusen and executive produced by Shonda Rhimes. The first season was released on Dec. 25, and Netflix said the show is "projected" to be watched by 63 million households within the first four weeks of release.
