#MusicNews: Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis Set To Release First Ever Artist Album!

Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis have announced they’re gearing up to release their first ever album as artists though a new deal with BMG.

The iconic hitmakers, who are former members of The Time and widely considered architects of the “Minneapolis Sound,” popularised by Prince in the late ’70s and early ’80s, have never put their names to a full-length Jam & Lewis LP.

“It’s crazy to think we’re about to release our debut album after all these years,” Lewis said of the project, which will feature “iconic collaborations spanning their influential discography.”

He added: “This is going to be a very special moment and we are grateful to have this team behind us.”

“BMG immediately got our vision and understood where we wanted to go with this album,” Jam said in a statement issued by BMG. “There was real mutual respect. We’ve found the perfect partner to kick off this next era and finally deliver our first record to the world.”

The five-time Grammy Award-winning production duo have created hits for the likes of Janet Jackson, George Michael, Usher, Mariah Carey, and many more. They have 16 Billboard Hot 100 Number Ones to their name and have received over 100 platinum certifications.

In addition, Jam & Lewis contributed to the soundtracks How Stella Got Her Groove Back and The Prince Of Egypt, received an Academy Award nomination for their work on Janet Jackson’s ‘Again’, which appeared the 1993 movie Poetic Justice, starring Jackson and the late Tupac Shakur.

The pair also composed and produced ‘Welcome To The World’, the theme of the opening ceremonies of the 1996 summer Olympic Games.

#HipHopNews: Meek Mill To Release New Album This Year!

Meek Mill is coming. The Philly rapper hasn’t released an album in nearly two years, but fans won’t have to wait much longer. During an #AskMeek Q&A session on Twitter, he announced that the project will arrive by the end of the year.

“when the album dropping?” asked one fan, to which Meek responded, “This year lol.”

Meek has been warming up for the project. Last month, he dropped a freestyle and in June, he released the powerful “Otherside of America” on which he confronted racial injustice. Earlier in the year, he teamed up with Justin Timberlake on “Believe.”

He also announced plans for a Dream Chasers compilation featuring new music including his single “How You” with Vory, but it has yet to be released.

Meek’s last album, 2018’s Championships, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the 5x platinum hit “Going Bad” with Drake.

He can also be seen in Charm City Kings, which is now streaming on HBO Max.

In a New Documentary Pope Francis Just Voiced His Support For Same-Sex Civil Unions!

In Francesco, a new documentary that premiered Wednesday at the Rome Film Festival, Pope Francis voiced his support for civil unions for same-sex couples for the first time. "What we have to create is a civil union law. That way they are legally covered," said the Pope in the Evgeny Afineevsky-directed film, adding, “Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family. They’re children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out, or be made miserable because of it."

Pope Francis has distinguished himself as a relatively liberal figure on LGBTQ+ rights, saying in 2013, "If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?” Still, this measure of support for civil unions is unprecedented in the history of the Roman Catholic Church, who has long held a firm stance against "homosexual behavior" and "legal recognition of homosexual unions."

It's unclear at this time whether Pope Francis's pro-LGBTQ+ stance will lead to tension with other Church leadership. There has been no immediate comment from the Vatican following Pope Francis's remarks, although it's possible a discourse will be forced when the film premieres in North American on Sunday.

In the meantime, many LGBTQ+ activists and community members are celebrating the news of Pope Francis's support: "The Pope’s speaking positively about civil unions also sends a strong message to places where the church has opposed such laws,” Jesuit priest James Martin, who has been instrumental in advocating for increased rights for LGBTQ+ individuals within a religious context, said in a Wednesday statement.

Bill Cosby, Now 83, Grins In Newly Released Prison Mug Shot!

A newly released prison mug shot shows Bill Cosby smiling with a disposable mask hanging off his face.

The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections recently updated Cosby’s mug shot, something routinely done to document changes to inmates’ appearance as they age. Cosby’s new photo was taken Sept. 4.

Later in the evening, a blurry picture was tweeted from Cosby’s verified account showing him using what appeared to be a prison telephone, pulling a mask away from his chin as he smiled.

It was accompanied by text that said: “This photo was taken by his publicist, Andrew Wyatt, during his first virtual video conference call with Mr. Cosby last week. We are posting this to reassure his family and supporters that he is doing ok during this pandemic.”

Cosby, 83, was convicted of felony sex assault and is serving a three- to 10-year prison term. An appeals court had upheld his conviction, but the Pennsylvania Supreme Court agreed this year to review two key issues in the case. The appeal is scheduled to be heard Dec. 1.

Cosby, a once-beloved comedian long known as “America’s Dad,” became the first celebrity convicted of sexual misconduct in the #MeToo era when he was convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his home near Philadelphia in 2004.

Breonna Taylor Grand Juror Says Kentucky AG Did Not Present Homicide Charges!

A Kentucky grand juror said on Tuesday that the state attorney general did not present the jury a case for potential homicide charges in the killing of Breonna Taylor by police officers.

The juror released an anonymous statement through their attorney after Judge Annie O’Connell of Jefferson County Circuit Court ruled the individual could speak publicly about the secret grand jury proceeding because doing so was in the public interest.

The grand jury in September recommended no homicide charges against the three white officers in the case. One of the officers, Brett Hankison, was charged with three counts of wanton endangerment for firing into a neighbor’s apartment.

The outcome stoked days of protests over the use of excessive force by police against blacks and minorities. Taylor was black.

Tory Lanez Goes On Rant About Megan Thee Stallion Shooting Allegations!

Tory Lanez sounded off on his Instagram this afternoon about the claims stating he shot Megan Thee Stallion in the foot earlier in the summer.

The 28-year-old rapper took to his social media to claim his innocence again, saying that all the evidence against him is “falsified”.

“For the last three months of my life, I’ve been in this place where I’ve been bashed, I’ve been cut through — just people every single day just coming at me, coming at me, coming at me,” Tory started in his rant.

He continued, “It’s crazy because the whole thing about it is — when this whole debacle, or whatever you call it, came about, the whole time was like … She knows what happened, I know what happened, and we know that what you’re saying and what the alleged things and the alleged accusations of my name is [sic] are not true.”

“It’s falsified information, it’s false information and it’s not accurate information,” Tory said. “I don’t ever wanna come off like I’m here to bash this girl or I’m here to talk down about this girl or ever be at a place where, like, I’m disrespecting her, because to me, as a person, she’s still my friend. No matter what — even if she doesn’t look at me like that — I look at her like she’s still my friend.”

Tory reportedly shot Megan after a party they attended together. He was recently charged and is facing up to 22 years in prison.

Megan reacted to Tory‘s rant on Twitter later, writing, “This n**** genuinely crazy.”

HBO’s 'Lovecraft Country' Ends on Season-High Ratings!

The HBO show's finale sets same-day bests for both linear and multiplatform audience.

HBO's Lovecraft Country ended the season with its biggest first-night audience to date.

The series from creator and showrunner Misha Green drew series bests in both on-air (881,000) and multi-platform viewers (1.5 million) on Sunday, according to figures from Nielsen and the premium cable outlet. Those numbers are up from 760,000 linear viewers and 1.4 million all in for the series premiere in August.

Viewers watching via replays and streaming made up about 41 percent of the first-night audience, in line with both earlier episodes of Lovecraft Country and other recent HBO series.

The finale was also a draw for HBO Max users: Though parent company WarnerMedia doesn't release viewing figures for the platform, it said the episode drew a bigger audience among Max users for its first day of release than any other episode of an original series on the service since its launch in late May.

The audience for the Lovecraft Country will also continue to grow in the coming weeks. HBO says the season premiere is "approaching" 10 million viewers since its debut, putting it ahead of Perry Mason (9 million), The Outsider (9 million) and Watchmen (7 million) among recent HBO dramas.

HBO hasn't decided on a renewal for the series yet, but Green told The Hollywood Reporter "there's definitely a path forward we have" for a possible second season.

'Fast and Furious' Franchise Officially Ending After 'Fast 11'!

The Fast & Furious franchise is nearing the end of its track, according to a report by Deadline. Sources told the outlet that Universal Pictures plans to end the core Fast & Furious franchise after just two more films, both of which will be directed by Justin Lin. There is still a chance that spin-offs like last year's Hobbs & Shaw will carry the story on a quarter-mile at a time.

Lin has already directed F9, which is in post-production now, and is reportedly in talks with Universal to direct two more installments to close out the saga. This call is a surprising move for industry insiders, as Fast & Furious has become the highest-grossing movie series Universal has ever made. On the other hand, the studio reportedly has big plans for the two-part finale, centered around the fictional found-family of street-racing heist experts.

After F9, the proposed final two films of the series would reportedly tell one over-arching story, centered around Vin Diesel's character Dom Torretto. It would bring back the entire core cast including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel and Sung Kang. There is no word yet on whether more orbital characters would be involved — even those in F9.

F9 centers heavily on characters that have been more recently added and whose allegiance is hard to pin down. They include John Cena as Dom's brother, Jakob Torretto, Helen Mirren as spy matriarch Magdalene Shaw and Charlize Theron as a criminal mastermind known only as Cipher.

There are also Jason Statham and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to consider, especially after their spin-off success last year. However, rumors have built up suggesting that Johnson and Diesel do not work well together, so his role could be minimized in the upcoming crescendo of the Torretto tale.

The franchise started in 2001 with The Fast and the Furious, a more straightforward street-racing drama about an undercover FBI agent played by Paul Walker. Since then, the series has grown in scope and adapted to more of an all-around action franchise, with a slight focus on car-related stunts. Walker's tragic passing in 2013 helped to crystalize many fans' love of the franchise as well.

Today, F9 is in post-production, with a slated release date of Memorial Day 2021. The rest of the franchise is available on most digital stores for rental or purchase.

Donald Trump Prematurely Ends '60 Minutes' Interview With Lesley Stahl!

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump was in the midst of filming an interview with 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl. But, as Variety reported, he cut the interview short. The interview was being taped for a segment on the show that will air on Sunday.

CNN noted that Trump cut the interview short right before he was set to film a segment with Vice President Mike Pence. The president reportedly sat down with Stahl for 45 minutes before ending the interview prematurely, telling the network that he believed that they had enough material to use for the show. It's unclear exactly why Trump ended the interview prematurely. CBS News did not respond to CNN's request for comment. The White House was also asked to comment on the report, which they did not dispute.

The president has since taken to Twitter to address the news himself. On the social media site, Trump posted a clip of Stahl at the White House on Tuesday. In his tweet, he wrote that the reporter was not wearing a mask. In a follow-up tweet, he wrote that he might make a video available from their discussion before the segment airs on 60 Minutes, claiming that the interview was "fake" and "biased." A source close to the situation said that the president's photo was taken immediately after the interview ended. Stahl, who has interviewed the president twice before, and the rest of the CBS team were all tested for the coronavirus prior to the interview. The reporter was also wearing a mask leading up to her interview with Trump.

Like Trump himself, Stahl battled the coronavirus this year. Back in May, she revealed on 60 Minutes that she dealt with a weeks-long battle with the illness. She revealed that she spent two weeks at home in bed and later had to be admitted into the hospital for treatment. “One of the rules of journalism is ‘Don’t become part of the story.’ But instead of covering the pandemic, I was one of the more than one million Americans who did become part of it,” Stahl said during the show. “I wasn’t alone from this broadcast. One COVID-positive ’60 Minutes’ coworker had almost no symptoms, while others had almost every symptom you can imagine. Every case is different.”

‘X IT OUT’

You see it’s all good because they spelled it Fxck instead of Fuck. That’s the big difference people. Because there is an X instead of the U, people won’t be able to read that it says fuck. That’s a little design trick for all you wannabe badasses out there who want to throw the middle finger up to society, but only sorta.

HAVE A GREAT DAY ALL!!!
