Kandi Burruss’ daughter Blaze is growing up fast! The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member took to Instagram to share some sweet new photos of her youngest child in honor of her turning 7 months old.
On June 26, Kandi shared several adorable pictures of baby Blaze posing in a pink jumper and the world’s cutest, baby-sized flower crown. “We wanted to do #halfbirthday pics for @blazetucker’s 6 month bday but because of the quarantine we didn’t,” she explained in the caption alongside the precious photos. “Well we are a month late but @weelovephotography came to the house with props from @thecreativeheartstudio to do a safe shoot at home.”
She went on to share her marvel at just how fast her little girl is growing, writing, “Blaze just turned 7 months but we’re still celebrating that half year! My baby is growing so fast!”

#MusicNews: Usher Shares Emotional New Track ‘I Cry’!
Usher has shared an emotional new track called ‘I Cry’. All proceeds from the song will benefit the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), a nonprofit which provides grants and support for community organizations and minority-owned small businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19.
In an emotional social post accompanying the release, Usher wrote that the song was “inspired by wanting to teach [his] sons that it is OK for a man to feel emotions deeply and cry” and that he wrote it while feeling “very depressed thinking about all sons who have lost their fathers to police brutality, social injustice, and violence; the daughters and mothers too.”
“I cry,” Usher sings on the chorus, “For the sons without fathers/And the pain that their mothers/Hold deep inside/So I’ll fight/For the future we’re making/It’ll change if we face it/’Cause these tears won’t dry.”

#HipHopNews: Kanye West Releases ‘Spaceship’ Video!
Sixteen years after the release of his debut album The College Dropout, Kanye West delivers the unreleased video for “Spaceship” featuring GLC and Consequence. The clip has never been officially released until now, although a leaked version is available on YouTube.
Dressed in a blue sweater and collared shirt, Kanye plays a Gap employee at the mall who becomes frustrated with his job and dreams of escaping to space. “I’ve been working this grave shift / And I ain’t made shit,” he raps while he works the counter and stockroom. “I wish I could buy me a spaceship and fly.”
The video marks a full circle moment for Ye, who announced his partnership with Gap earlier today. As part of the 10-year deal, he will design a line of clothing for men, women, and kids that will be sold at the retailer in 2021.
“THIS IS WHAT WE DREAMED OF BACK THEN,” tweeted Ye, who worked at the Gap as a teenager in Chicago.
He is joined by his co-worker GLC and Consequence, who plays a customer. After a long day at work, Kanye eventually puts on his astronaut suit and takes off in his spaceship.

Rihanna took to Instagram to show off the newest range of her Savage x Fenty lingering line, using herself as the model. The brand, Rihanna launched at New York Fashion Week in 2018, turned two-years-old last month, and much like its all-inclusive Fenty Beauty division, aims to make women of all shapes and sizes feel sexy.
Catching some sun and attempting to break the internet, the “Work” singer posed in a canary yellow bra and panty set that was designed in collaboration with Adam Selman. The cut out of the lacy briefs gave RiRi’s bottom a very peach-like appearance.
Beyonce Releasing ‘Black Is King’ Visual Album!
A new Beyonce visual album is on the way! Over the weekend (June 27th), Disney Plus announced her new visual, inspired by “The Lion King”, the album is titled “Black Is King”.
It will premiere on Disney Plus, July 31st and is based on the music of “The Lion King: The Gift”.
It is written, directed and executive produced by Beyonce, featuring Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, 070 Shake, Tierra Whack, Jay-Z, Blue Ivy Carter and Jessie Reyez, as well as African artists including Wizkid, Shatta Wale, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Yemi Alade, Busiswa and Salatiel.

Nikki Blonsky is out and proud! The 31-year-old Hairspray actress took to her Tik Tok on Sunday (June 28) to come out as gay.
“Hi, it’s Nikki Blonsky and I’m coming out! #pride,” Nikki captioned the video while dancing around in her backyard to Diana Ross’ hit song “I’m Coming Out.”

‘Respect’ Trailer: Jennifer Hudson Is the Queen of Soul in Aretha Franklin Biopic!
The first full trailer for MGM’s “Respect,” the upcoming Aretha Franklin starring vocal powerhouse Jennifer Hudson as the Queen of Soul, has arrived. The preview dropped Sunday night following Hudson’s performance at the BET Awards, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year.
The film directed by Liesl Tommy was originally slated to open in theaters October 9, but was pushed to a limited Christmas Day debut, to be followed by an expansion kicking off January 8 and a wide opening on January 15, timed for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend. Expect a major awards play for star Hudson, who previously won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her scene-stealing turn in the musical “Dreamgirls.” Watch the trailer for “Respect” below.
The film charts the highs and lows of Franklin’s life and career. She began as a young gospel singer in Detroit and became a smash success after signing to Atlantic Records in 1966, churning out hit after hit including “I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You),” Respect,” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” “Chain of Fools,” “Think,” and “I Say a Little Prayer.” By the end of the 1960s, she was dubbed the Queen of Soul. Franklin died in 2018 at the age of 76 following a career that included 17 Grammy wins, and a life full of civil rights activism.
The film’s cast also includes Forest Whitaker as her father C.L. Franklin, Audra McDonald as her mother Barbara Franklin, Marlon Wayans as Aretha Franklin’s first husband Ted White, Mary J. Blige as musician and singer Dinah Washington, Gilbert Glenn Brown as Martin Luther King Jr., Marc Maron as music journalist and producer Jerry Wexler, and Tituss Burgess as Reverend Dr. James Cleveland.
This is the first feature from director Liesl Tommy, who’s worked in television helming episodes of “Mrs. Fletcher,” “Queen Sugar,” “The Walking Dead,” “Jessica Jones,” “Insecure,” and “Dietland.” “Respect” is written by Tracey Scott Wilson, also a television mainstay having written scripts for “Fosse/Verdon.” “Traitors,” and “The Americans.”

“Respect” is the latest movie to come out of a new wave of upcoming music biopics, which last year included Academy Award winners “Judy,” “Rocketman,” and “Bohemian Rhapsody.” These films are Oscar catnip, from “La Vie en Rose” to “Walk the Line” and “Ray.” Next up is Baz Luhrmann’s take on the life of Elvis Presley, played by Austin Butler, and James Mangold is at work on a Bob Dylan biopic starring Timothée Chalamet as the folk icon.
‘Golden Girls’ Episode With Blackface Scene Removed From Hulu!
Hulu has removed an episode of “The Golden Girls” containing a scene with characters in blackface.
“Mixed Blessings,” episode 23 in season 3 of the sitcom, aired in 1988. In the episode, Michael (Scott Jacoby), the son of Dorothy (Beatrice Author), plans to wed a much older Black woman, Lorraine (Rosalind Cash). Dorothy is critical of their age difference and Lorraine’s family disapproves of their daughter marrying a white man, so the two families attempt to stop the marriage.
Lorraine’s family arrives as Rose (Betty White) and Blanche (Rue McClanahan) are testing out a new mud face treatment. The two greet the family with their masks still on, saying to them “This is mud on our faces, we’re not really Black.” A gif of the scene that was posted on Reddit can be viewed here.
Hulu’s removal of the episode of “The Golden Girls” is the latest in a string of shows that have had episodes taken down from their catalogues due to blackface.
On Friday, “The Office” creator Greg Daniels confirmed that a scene from the episode “Dwight Christmas,” in which a character is in blackface, has been edited out. “30 Rock” creator Tina Fey asked for multiple episodes of the show to be removed from streaming services for having characters in blackface, and both Netflix and Hulu have removed the “Advanced Dungeons & Dragons” episode of “Community.” In addition, Hulu has removed three episodes of “Scrubs” and Netflix took the entire series “Little Britain” off of their platform for having blackface scenes.
A Hulu spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Adele Models Chloé Dress From Glastonbury 2016 After Weight Loss!
Adele threw it back to 2016 on Saturday. Reliving her set from the Glastonbury music festival four years ago, the 32-year-old singer watched the UK performance from the comforts of home, all the while modeling the same embellished Chloé dress she wore for the show in 2016.
Captioning a pair of Instagram shots “5 ciders in,” Adele sported a white T-shirt and comfy gray pants in one photo as she rocked the glamorous Chloé gown in the other.
Earlier in the day, Adele sent fans into a tizzy after posting an older photo of herself from Glastonbury, igniting speculation about future music.
“Teaser? Albums coming out today???!!!! Tell me now,” one follower asked Adele, who then replied: “Of course it’s not. Corona ain’t over. I’m quarantining. Wear a mask and be patient.”
The singer’s latest album, “25,” dropped in 2015.
Adele is no stranger to setting the internet ablaze with her social media posts. Last month, the Grammy winner shocked her famous friends and followers by sharing another photo of her dramatic weight loss.

Supreme Court, In 5-4 Ruling, Strikes Down Restrictive Louisiana Abortion Law!
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court ruled Monday that Louisiana's tough restriction on abortions violates the Constitution, a surprising victory for abortion rights advocates from an increasingly conservative court.
The 5-4 decision, in which Chief Justice John Roberts joined with the court's four more liberal justices, struck down a law passed by the Louisiana Legislature in 2014 that required any doctor offering abortion services to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles. Its enforcement had been blocked by a protracted legal battle.
Two Louisiana doctors and a medical clinic sued to get the law overturned. They said it would leave only one doctor at a single clinic to provide services for nearly 10,000 women who seek abortions in the state each year.
The challengers said the requirement was identical to a Texas law the Supreme Court struck down in 2016. With the vote of then-Justice Anthony Kennedy, the court ruled that Texas imposed an obstacle on women seeking access to abortion services without providing any medical benefits. Kennedy was succeeded by the more conservative Brett Kavanaugh, appointed by President Donald Trump, who was among the four dissenters Monday.
Justice Stephen Breyer, who wrote the Texas decision, also wrote Monday's ruling. The law poses a substantial obstacle to women seeking an abortion, offers no significant health benefits, "and therefore imposes an undue burden on a woman's constitutional right to choose to have an abortion."
Roberts said he thought the court was wrong to strike down the Texas law, but he voted with the majority because that was the binding precedent. "The Louisiana law imposes a burden on access to abortion just as severe as that imposed by the Texas law, for the same reasons. Therefore Louisiana's law cannot stand under our precedents."
The Center for Reproductive Rights said the burdens on access to abortions in Louisiana would have been even more restrictive than those in Texas, where about half of the state's abortion clinics were forced to close. It also said the law was unnecessary, because only a small fraction of women experience medical problems after an abortion, and when they do, they seek treatment at a hospital near where they live, not one near the medical clinic.
Louisiana defended the law, arguing that the requirement to have an association with a nearby hospital would provide a check on a doctor's credentials. But opponents said a hospital's decision about whether to grant admitting privileges had little to do with a doctor's competence and more to do with whether the doctor would admit a sufficient number of patients.
A federal judge ruled in 2017 that the law was likely unconstitutional and blocked its enforcement. But a three-judge panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals voted to lift the stay, finding that it would present far less of an obstacle than the Texas law would have, because less than one-third of Louisiana women seeking an abortion would face even the potential of longer wait times.
The Supreme Court put that ruling on hold while it considered the case, which prevented the law from taking effect.
The court's four dissenters said the challengers were not legally entitled to bring the lawsuit, because the abortion right belongs to women, not to doctors and clinics. "Our abortion precedents are grievously wrong and should be overruled," Justice Clarence Thomas said.
Justice Samuel Alito said in both Monday's ruling and the previous decision striking down the Texas law that "the abortion right is used like a bulldozer to flatten legal rules that stand in the way." Justice Neil Gorsuch said the court should have given more deference to Louisiana's reasons for enacting the law, and Kavanaugh said he would have sent the case back to gather more information on its potential effects on access to abortion services
Louisville man arrested for fatal shooting in Jefferson Square Park!
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The man accused of fatally shooting a local photographer at Jefferson Square Saturday night had been arrested twice before for rioting related charges.
The suspect’s name is Steven Nelson Lopez. He’s been in police custody since the shooting occurred Saturday around 9 p.m. He’s been charged with one count of murder and one count of wanton endangerment first degree.
Lopez, who had been camping at Jefferson Square had been asked to leave earlier in the day by other protesters for his "disruptive behavior" Mayor Greg Fischer said during a press conference Sunday afternoon.
According to an arrest report, LMPD officers notified MetroSafe of multiple gunshots fired in Jefferson Square Park around 8:59 p.m. Officers responded on scene at this time to find a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was found unresponsive lying in the middle of the park near a concrete wall.
Lopez, according to the report, was seen shooting a firearm into a large crowd of people at the park. The gunfire struck the victim, later revealed by the coroner as Tyler Gerth.
Gerth was shot in the head and pronounced dead on scene by officers.
Lopez was identified by multiple witnesses at the scene, and observed in video surveillance shooting the handgun into the crowd, where according to police, he was showing “extreme indifference to the value of human life and creating a substantial danger of death or serious injury to others.”
While the suspect shot into the crowd, other bystanders returned fire to protect their life and the lives of others. Lopez sustained a non-serious injury from a gunshot wound to the leg during the crossfire.
Lopez was taken into custody on scene without further incident and transported to the hospital.
WAVE 3 News Troubleshooters found Lopez had been arrested twice, back to back, in the last two weeks.
On June 17th Lopez was arrested for inciting a riot, disorderly conduct, harassment and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia. Just two days later, records show Lopez was arrested yet again on June 19th. Those charges included unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct.
Princeton Drops Woodrow Wilson’s Name From School Over Racist Policies!
Princeton University will remove former President Woodrow Wilson’s name from public policy school and Wilson College, the president said in a statement on Saturday.
Christopher Eisgruber posted a statement to the school’s website, stating that “Wilson’s racist views and policies make him an inappropriate namesake for the School of Public and International Affairs and residential college.”
On the president’s recommendation, the Board of Trustees voted to remove Wilson’s name at a special meeting that took place on Friday. The Board of Trustees also posted a statement to the school’s website, echoing Eisburger’s sentiment.
Students have been calling for the removal of Wilson’s name since 2015 when a group of student activists occupied the president’s office in protest. The school formed a committee to review Wilson’s legacy, and while it made some recommendations to make the school “more inclusive,” Wilson’s name remained on school buildings.
“Princeton is part of an America that has too often disregarded, ignored, or excused racism, allowing the persistence of systems that discriminate against Black people. When Derek Chauvin knelt for nearly nine minutes on George Floyd’s neck while bystanders recorded his cruelty, he might have assumed that the system would disregard, ignore, or excuse his conduct, as it had done in response to past complaints against him,” Eisburger’s statement read.
A prime example of Wilson’s racist policies included segregating the federal civil service after it had been racially integrated for decades, noting that his policies were even considered racist for his time.
