#RHOA: Tanya Sam Tearfully Shows Atlanta Restaurant's Damage After Protests!
“I KNOW YA’LL ARE MAD, I’M MAD, TOO,” SAM SAID AS TEARS ROLLED DOWN HER FACE.
Black people are fed up, y’all. Protests have erupted in at least 30 U.S. cities over the death of 46-year-old George Floyd, a Black man who was viciously murdered at the hands of a White police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
And while protests have largely been peaceful, some businesses are experiencing the impact of the rage that many of us have been feeling—in the form of destruction and looting. Real Housewives of Atlanta star Tanya Sam is one of the people whose business has suffered at the hands of protestors in Atlanta.

“I’m just sad,” Sam said in a video that detailed the destruction, posted to her Instagram account.
In the video, the reality star showed how rioters and looters damaged Agency Socialthèque, the restaurant and lounge she co-owns in the Buckhead section of Atlanta.
“I know ya’ll are mad, I’m mad, too,” Sam said as tears rolled down her face as she surveyed the damage of the space she said was created “for us.”

“Nobody is listening to us,” she continued.
This isn’t the first Black owned business in Buckhead that has been destroyed in the midst of protests. High-end boutique SacDelux was looted and had all of their merchandise stolen this week as well, according to photos on social media.

Atlanta celebrities have expressed their anger and frustration on what’s happening in this country, but also encouraged Black people not to take it out on the Black businesses that are supporting our communities.
The Dream, for example, took to Twitter to say, “…I OWN THINGS IN THIS CITY, A LOT OF BLACKS OWN THINGS  IN THIS CITY, FROM BANKHEAD TO BUCKHEAD. DO NOT DESTROY PROPERTY THAT NEGATES THE DECADES OF WORK. MY CHILDREN WILL NOT BE SET BACK BY YOU!”
A visibly emotional Killer Mike also spoke out about the violent protests over the weekend.

“It is your duty not to burn your own house down for anger with an enemy. It is your duty to fortify your own house so that you may be a house of refuge in times of organizations,” he said. “Now is the time to plot, plan, strategize, organize and mobilize.”
“We don’t want to see Targets burning,” he continued. “We want to see the system that sets up for systemic racism burnt to the ground.”
Sam, however, expressed that she doesn’t place blame toward the protesters, but instead, shows empathy and concern for what’s happening to Black people across the country.

Fans responded to the RHOA star’s emotional post with sadness and well

#HipHopNews: Jay-Z Calls Minnesota’s Governor Demanding Justice For George Floyd!
Jay-Z is concerned about how the murder case of George Floyd is being handled and he is reaching out to people in high places to get answers.
On Sunday (May 31), Minnesota Governor Tim Walz held a press conference to discuss the civil unrest that has taken place in the wake of the killing of George Floyd, who died after former Minneapolis Police Department officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on the man's neck for nearly 10 minutes while he was being arrested. During the address, Walz talked about the seriousness of the situation and revealed Jay had called him personally to demand justice for Floyd.

"Receiving a call, last night, to understand how big this was, from Jay-Z," Walz said. "Not international performer, but dad, stressing to me that justice needs to be served. And that as he's listening and hearing it, that this is a place that wants to do it. That this is a place that does it, but we have to follow through."
It took four days for the Minneapolis District Attorney's Office to charge Chauvin with third-degree murder and manslaughter in Floyd's death. It is unclear if the three other officers who were on the scene and did nothing while Chauvin essentially choked Floyd to death will be charged.
Hov and the social justice arm of his Roc Nation team have been active recently. Earlier this month, they got involved in the Ahmaud Arbery case as well. Back in February, they helped over 150 prisoners file lawsuits against a Mississippi prison.

The nation has been up in arms over Floyd's killing, which occurred on May 25, and the continuous cycle of police brutality in the United States. Hip-hop has been doing its part to let its voice be heard. Many rappers have participated in protests in Minnesota and across the country. Several rappers who could not be at protests physically have contributed to Freedom Funds, which provide bail money for those arrested while demonstrating.

Faith Evans Reportedly Arrested For Alleged Attack On Stevie J!
Faith Evans was reportedly arrested for domestic violence last week. According to TMZ, the police were called to the veteran singer’s Los Angeles home after she and her husband Stevie J got into a “heated” argument.
When officers arrived on the scene, they noticed visible marks and scratches on Stevie’s face. Consequently, Evans was taken into custody and booked for felony domestic violence. She reportedly bonded out on the same day.
Evans and Stevie tied the knot in July 2018 during a business trip to Las Vegas. Their relationship blossomed while they were working on music together.

“There was always a love there, but I never saw him in a romantic way in all of the years of our friendship,” Evans said shortly after they got married. “A couple of years ago I was single, we were working together and I felt a little something.”
In July 2019, the couple denied there was trouble in paradise despite rumors suggesting otherwise.

Fans noticed something might be up when they stopped following each other on Instagram. The former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta personality also fired off a string off tweets indicating they had hit a rough patch — from “Drunk people always speak their truth” and “Ones insecurities can damage them” to “All that glitters ain’t gold” and “Cherish what you love just know nothing will last forever.”

Evans nor Stevie have publicly commented on the latest incident.

George Floyd's Brother Emotionally Breaks Down During CNN Interview: 'I Need Justice'!
The brother of George Floyd appeared on CNN Sunday to speak with Don Lemon and make an emotional plea to law enforcement in Minneapolis to arrest the additional officers involved in his brother's death. Philonise Floyd wore a red t-shirt with the words "We Can't Breathe" written across the front, relaying his thoughts on the growing protests around the country just one week after his brother's death.

"People just want justice," Floyd told CNN. "They're going to continue to march and protest, and if I ask everybody to do it peaceful — but they want justice, and that's the reason they're acting out like that. … Black folks have been getting killed for a long time now, years. … People are just tired right now. African Americans, they want to stand up for what's right."
The segment was part of a broader look at the protests in Minneapolis, with Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo speaking with CNN reporter Sara Snider from the intersection with Floyd was killed on Monday. Philonise Floyd listened in, leading to the chief to remove his hat in respect to the grieving family after explaining the actions he took against the four officers involved.

"I am absolutely devastatingly sorry for their loss, and if I could do anything to bring Mr. Floyd back, I would move heaven and earth to do that," Arradondo told CNN. "This was a violation of the oath that the majority of the men and women that put this uniform on — this goes absolutely against it. This is contrary to what we believe in. What occurred to me, it was an absolute truth that it was wrong, period."
Floyd could be seen later battling back tears while being comforted by his lawyer Ben Crump. Snider joined in with her own tears due to the moment they both had just experienced representing the first contact the Floyd family had with the police since the killing.

"Being silent or not intervening, to me, you're complicit. So I don't see a level of distinction that's any different. Obviously the charging and those decision have to come through our county attorney's office, certainly the FBI is investigating that, but I want you to know my decision to fire all four officers was not based on some sort of hierarchy," Arradondo continued. "Mr. Floyd died in our hands, and so I see that as being complicit. … I don't see a difference in terms of the ultimate outcome, [which] is he is not here with us. … Silence and inaction — you're complicit. If there were one solitary voice that would have intervened and acted, that's what I would have hoped for. That did not occur."

For Floyd, he just wanted to see justice served over his brother's killing. As he said before Arradondo's comments, he just wanted to make sure there is justice for his brother. While it is unknown what will come this week, Floyd was clear on why he felt this way.
"They arrest guys every day. They had enough evidence to fire them, so they have enough evidence to arrest them. I don't know who he's talking to, but I need him to do it, because we all are listening. Black lives matter," Floyd said.

Floyd had reportedly spoken with Donald Trump earlier in the week, but the responses he received there stood in contrast to those of Chief Arradondo. According to Buzzfeed, Trump didn't give Floyd the opportunity to even speak.

Lady Gaga Slams ‘Fool’ Donald Trump For Failing Everyone In Passionate Message About George Floyd’s Murder And Fighting Racism!
The singer just joined the list of celebs slamming the current president over his reaction to another police brutality case that’s led to the tragic death of George Floyd. It is no secret the country has been outraged and Donald Trump’s poor response, while expected, has left quite a lot to be desired, nevertheless!

Lady Gaga took to social media to express her frustration over how he’s been dealing with the whole thing, dragging Trump and holding nothing back while doing it!
At the same time, her message was also supposed to show support to the Black Lives Matter movement as a whole and bring more awareness to what happened to George Floyd.

‘The voices of the Black community have been silenced for way too long and that silence has proven to be deadly time and time again. And no matter what they do in protest, they’re still met with no compassion by the leaders meant to protect them. Every day people in America are racist, and that’s a fact,’ Gaga wrote in the first slide of her post.
She went on to slam the president and criticize the way he’s been dealing with the murder and the protests that have followed.

‘We have known for a long time President Trump has failed. He holds the most powerful office in the whole world, yet he offers nothing but ignorance and prejudice as Black lives continue to be taken. We’ve known he’s a fool, and a racist, ever since he took office he’s fueling a system that’s already rooted in racism, and racist activity, and we can see what is happening.’
The star made sure to encourage her followers to stand with the black community during this time, now, more than ever!

She stressed that ‘We MUST show love for the Black community. As a privileged white woman, I take an oath to stand by that. We have not, as a privileged community, done enough to fight the racism and to stand up for the people being killed by it.’

Don Lemon Calls Out Ellen, Oprah, Tyler Perry, Drake & More For Lack Of Visibility During Protests!
The world is outraged, upset, and demanding justice after the death of George Floyd. Floyd’s senseless murder was the last straw for an America who is largely unemployed, losing family and friend to COVID-19, and under the most stress the United States has faced in years.

Over the weekend, every news station has been focused on one thing: the protests happening around the country. While night approached, the protests turned from peaceful to chaotic and CNN was there to cover it every step of the way. Despite CNN’s headquarters in Atlanta being damaged the night before, the show still went on with Don Lemon covering the whole thing. Outside of the shock from the damage happening in cities across the world like NYC, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia, the real shock came Don Lemon calling out his famous friends on the air.

Don started by asking everyone to stop hitting him directly telling him they love what he and others are doing during this time. He then proceeded to call out Hollywood and some of its most famous people. Lemon called out Ellen, Oprah, Drake, Tyler Perry, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Anthony Anderson just to name a few. He said that some of them are afraid to speak out because of their “brand,” but he promises now isn’t the time to worry about your brand in the midst of American history.

Spike Lee Releases Powerful Short Film ‘3 Brothers – Radio Raheem, Eric Garner And George Floyd’!
Filmmaker Spike Lee on Sunday debuted a new short film, 3 Brothers – Radio Raheem, Eric Garner And George Floyd, a compilation of the scene from his 1989 film Do The Right Thing featuring the death of Radio Raheem (played by the late Bill Nunn) and video of the deaths of Eric Garner in 2014 and George Floyd earlier this week. The fictional character of Radio Raheem as well as Garner and Floyd are three Black men who all died in similar circumstances — being restrained by a white police officer(s) on the street.

The film, which opens with the question, Will History Stop Repeating Itself?, premiered during Lee’s appearance on CNN’s special I Can’t Breath: Black Men Living and Dying In America, anchored by Don Lemon. You can watch it below (On Twitter, it is accompanied by a warning for potentially sensitive content:)
In his interview with Lemon, Lee addressed the escalating protests and unrest following Floyd’s death. “This is history again, and again and again…The attack on black bodies has been here from the get-go,” said Lee, wearing a shirt emblazoned with 1619, the year often seen as the beginning of slavery in America. “I am not condoning all this other stuff but I understand why people are doing what they are doing.”

Jake Paul Denies Looting After Breaking Into Scottsdale Mall During George Floyd Protests!
YouTube star Jake Paul is usually involved in some sort of crazy stunt that lands on his social media pages, but people are not happy with his latest incident after being found allegedly taking part in the looting and destruction of property going on during the nationwide protests after the murder of George Floyd.

Paul took to Twitter Sunday morning to defend himself after video surfaced from the Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale, Arizona. The younger brother of YouTube star Logan Paul could be seen joining a crowd of people who had broken into the mall.
Paul was not seen on video stealing or destroying property, but he was seen alongside the others who were taking part and did not do anything to stop them. After video of Paul began to go viral and people were outraged, the social media star put out a lengthy statement denying he took part in anything illegal.

"To be absolutely clear, neither I nor anyone in our group was engaged in any looting or vandalism. For context, we spent the day doing our part to peacefully protest one of the most horrific injustices our country has ever seen, which led to us being tear-gassed for filming the events and brutality that were unfolding in Arizona."
He said that everything was being filmed "in an effort to share our experience and bring more attention tot he anger felt in every neighborhood we traveled through; we were strictly documenting, not engaging."
Paul was adamant that "I do not condone violence, looting or breaking the law; however, I understand the anger and frustration that led tot he destruction we witnessed and while it's not the answer, it's important that people see it and collectively figure out how to move forward in a healthy way."
Even though he tried to set the record straight, many people didn't believe Jake Paul was being genuine and lashed out at him on Twitter.
"You’re completely full of shit. grow the fuck up, sit your ass at home, donate, educate, read and do some actual good instead of this clownery," one person commented.

"He literally tried to break a window of a car inside the mall and it's on video he's just straight lying. He was also hyping up the people doing most of the looting going woo and making loud noises and getting all excited. Never seen someone so dumb," another person responded.
