The “Grace & Frankie” star, 82, joins “Old Town Road” singer Lil Nas X, singer King Princess, Japanese artist Miyavi and environmentalist David de Rothschild in an ad campaign for the Italian high fashion brand’s new “Off the Grid” collection.
The collection, which is the first from Gucci’s Circular Lines initiative that calls for circular production, uses recycled, organic, bio-based and sustainably sourced materials.
Lil Nas X models a shoulder bag ($1,190) and black high top sneakers ($730) while Fonda sports an oversized yellow tote ($1,690) and matching yellow sneakers ($690).
The collection speaks to Fonda’s mission in climate activism; the actress has re-worn many gowns on the red carpet after vowing to stop shopping and decrease waste. She was also arrested more than three times during her Friday Fire Drill climate protests.
Supreme Court DACA Ruling Gives Way to Organizing for Path to Citizenship!

For thousands of young immigrants across California who have relied on temporary protection from deportation under the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling Thursday blocking the Trump administration’s effort to end DACA was a cause for rejoicing.
“We’re very excited. We’re celebrating,” said San Diego attorney Dulce García, 37, a lead plaintiff in one of several lawsuits before the court arguing that the way the administration moved to end DACA in 2017 was arbitrary and capricious. “A big weight has been lifted off our shoulders.”
In Sacramento, Robert Núñez, 25, an advocate with the non-profit Latino Coalition for a Healthy California, said on hearing the news he felt “a sigh of relief, an immense feeling of victory.”
For Santa Cruz resident Adrian Escárate, 31, communications coordinator for the immigrant advocacy group Define American said of the years of waiting for a court decision. “It has been a whirlwind, a roller coaster,” said “It’s pretty surreal.”
The celebrating didn’t last long. In a matter of hours, DACA recipients and their supporters were beginning to organize for a more permanent path to legal status in the country where they’ve come of age.
That’s because the 5-4 opinion, written by Chief Justice John Roberts, didn’t defend DACA itself, it merely said the government had failed to follow proper procedures in ending it, suggesting that the Department of Homeland Security could try again.
For now, the 650,000 people with DACA — 185,000 of them in California — retain their protection and work authorization. It also appears that the government must again accept first-time applications, and more than 60,000 undocumented teenagers who were brought to the U.S. as children can now apply because they’ve reached the application age of 15.
Immigrant advocates in a video press conference Thursday said they plan to push for legislation that would offer permanent protection for all 11 million undocumented immigrants in the U.S. — something that will require action by the U.S. Congress.
The fact that the DACA program was first created by President Barack Obama in 2012 is a testament to the persistent and savvy activism of Dreamers, young undocumented immigrants who’ve spent most of their lives in this country, said José Muñoz, communications manager for United We Dream.
“It was undocumented young people who were courageous and fearless, pushing Obama to act,” said Muñoz. A DACA recipient from Mexico, he has lived in the U.S. since he was a 3-month-old infant.
Muñoz said the massive, spontaneous Black Lives Matter protests of recent weeks are a new source of inspiration to immigrant advocates, who see common ground in the search for racial justice.
“There is a lot of fire in this moment,” he said. “We’re seeing people taking to the streets... led by black people who are demanding a defunding of the police. We’re seeing the spirit of people coming together saying enough is enough.”
At the Central American Resource Center in San Francisco, director Lariza Dugan-Cuadra said her primary concern is to explain the Supreme Court ruling to the roughly 400 DACA recipients the non-profit assists, and ensure that they take steps to renew their DACA status.
“First we’re all taking a deep breath,” said Dugan-Cuadra. “It’s just nice to have good news.”
Next, she said, her group is building alliances to advocate for a path to citizenship for Dreamers and other undocumented immigrants.
The first time the Dream Act was introduced in Congress was 2001. It had bipartisan support then. And today large majorities of Americans — including 69 percent of Trump voters in a recent Politico poll — say Dreamers should be allowed to stay in the U.S. legally.
Last year the House of Representatives passed the latest version known as the American Dream and Promise Act. But the Republican-controlled Senate hasn’t taken it up.
San Jose Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, a Democrat who supports legalization, said that’s unlikely to happen unless Democrats win the Senate in November.
“What happens in the upcoming election is going to be very important for the fate of these young people,” she said. “It's so clear: the difference on this issue between the two parties.
Though Dreamers themselves can’t vote, they can encourage others to do so. Muñoz said that three of his siblings are U.S. citizens who plan to vote in November. By his estimate, the nation’s 650,000 DACA recipients belong to families with 2.5 million voting-age citizens.
“We’re going to continue to see folks taking to the streets,” he said. “And for us there will be a big push to do engagement with voters. This is a consequential election.”

Sen. Amy Klobuchar on Thursday night removed herself from consideration to be Joe Biden's running mate, citing the ongoing national discussion about racial injustice and police brutality to suggest the former vice president should choose a woman of color.
"This is a historic moment, and America must seize on this moment. And I truly believe as, I actually told the vice president last night when I called him, that I think this is a moment to put a woman of color on that ticket," Klobuchar, a Minnesota Democrat, told MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell.
Biden offered warm words for Klobuchar shortly after her comments to MSNBC.
"Amy — from the moment you announced you were running for president in a snowstorm, it wasn't hard to see you had the grit and determination to do anything you set your mind to," Biden tweeted. "You know how to get things done. With your help, we're going to beat Donald Trump."

Klobuchar was touted for months as a promising vice presidential candidate due to her centrist appeal and name recognition following her own White House bid. But her prospects had waned in recent weeks as Biden faces increasing pressure to choose a woman of color as his running mate in the aftermath of George Floyd's death at the hands of police officers.
Floyd's death in Minneapolis reignited long festering Democratic concerns about Klobuchar's criminal justice record and the seven years she spent as the top prosecutor in Minnesota's most populous county, a position she secured by promising to be tough on crime.
After suspending her own presidential bid in early March, Klobuchar was the first 2020 primary candidate with a number of delegates to announce she would endorse Biden.
She insisted that Biden could bring the country together and build a coalition of Democrats, independents and Republicans "because we do not in our party want to just eke by a victory. We want to win big." In her concession speech, Klobuchar replaced her own name with Biden's."I think you know you have a home with Joe Biden," she said, altering a popular stump line.
Biden himself has not committed to picking a black woman, telling CNN last month: "There are women of color under consideration and there are women from every part of the country under consideration because there are a lot of really qualified women that are ready to be president."
"But I'm not making that commitment. I'm going to make that judgment after in fact this group goes through interviewing all these people," he said.

The NeNe report comes a day after Eva Marcille, 35, confirmed she would be leaving the reality series after three seasons. “I appreciate the bond of friendship that I’ve made with my cast mates and the strong personal relationships I have cultivated with numerous executives and producers from Bravo and Truly Original,” she said in a statement to HollywoodLife. “I am thankful for the opportunity I was provided. On the politically-charged track, his first release of 2020, the Dreamville rapper speaks about the discourse surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement and his reaction to seeing tweets from a “young lady” who is using her platform to educate about systemic racism. There was speculation that he was referring to rapper and activist Noname, which he confirmed.
“Morning. I stand behind every word of the song that dropped last night,” tweeted Cole.
While he was praised by some for speaking his mind, he also received backlash from others who deemed his tone as misogynistic and didn’t find it appropriate to criticize a Black woman’s activism in the midst of nationwide protests.
But despite the controversy, Cole is standing behind his words. “Right or wrong I can’t say, but I can say it was honest,” he said, while welcoming the criticism.
“Some assume to know who the song is about. That’s fine with me, it’s not my job to tell anybody what to think or feel about the work. I accept all conversation and criticisms,” he added.
He encouraged his followers to follow Noname on Twitter. “I love and honor her as a leader in these times,” he tweeted. “She has done and is doing the reading and the listening and the learning on the path that she truly believes is the correct one for our people. Meanwhile a ni**a like me just be rapping.”
He admits that he struggles with activism himself, but is open to dialogue. “I haven’t done a lot of reading and I don’t feel well equipped as a leader in these times. But I do a lot of thinking. And I appreciate her and others like her because they challenge my beliefs and I feel that in these times that’s important.”
While he may not agree with her approach, he hopes they can learn from each other. “We may not agree with each other but we gotta be gentle with each other,” said Cole.
Noname has not responded directly to Cole. After the song was released, she tweeted and deleted: “QUEEN TONE!!!!!!”
Aunt Jemima Is Getting A New Name & Image As Brand Acknowledges Racist!
After 130 years, Quaker Oats is getting rid of the Aunt Jemima brand of syrup and pancake mix, and the brand will get a new name and image. Quaker Oats announced Wednesday, (June 17) that the company recognizes that “Aunt Jemima’s origins are based on a racial stereotype.”
The Aunt Jemima character was first manifested by Nancy Green, a Black woman who was formerly enslaved and became the face of the product in 1890.
The company is reportedly working to “update the brand to be appropriate and respectful.” Following the death of George Floyd, social media has called out the brand for continuing to use the image along with its racist history, the hashtag #AuntJemima began trending on Twitter.

“It’s an image that harkens back to the antebellum plantation … Aunt Jemima is that kind of stereotype that is premised on this idea of Black inferiority and otherness.”
“It is urgent to expunge our public spaces of a lot of these symbols that for some people are triggering and represent terror and abuse,” She added.
The company also announced it will donate at least $5 million over the next five years “to create meaningful, ongoing support and engagement in the Black community.”

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have found themselves in a legal situation.
The Hollywood power couple and musicians are facing a lawsuit from a Jamaican artist claiming she didn't receive credit for her contribution to "Black Effect."
In court documents obtained by E! News, Dr. Lenora Antoinette Stines is suing the couple for copyright infringement, right of publicity and unjust enrichment.
Dr. Stines claims in court documents that she supplied dancers for a video meant to promote Jay-Z and Beyoncé's album and tour. She also alleged the couple wanted to record her views on love that would be used in the video "for promotional purposes" only.
According to the Jamaica resident, Beyoncé and Jay-Z's project was released and featured "the unauthorized exploitation of her vocals on a song known as ‘Black Effect.'"
"Dr. Stines' horror and chagrin was compounded when she realized that not only were her vocals featured on the recording and in the project, but she also discovered that she was not even credited by the defendants for providing her vocals," court documents state. "This discovery left Dr. Stines feeling violated and as if the defendants had ‘artistically raped' her."
E! News has reached out to Beyoncé and Jay-Z's reps for comment. They have not yet filed a response in court.
"Black Effect" is featured on the couple's join album titled Everything Is Love, which was released in June 2018.
At the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, the album won for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
According to court documents, Dr. Stines' vocals are featured in the first 60 seconds of the the recording or 19% of the total song.
The plaintiff is seeking damages, legal fees, a portion of the publishing rights and a writer's credit for the single.

Netflix CEO Donates $120 Million to Historically Black Colleges & Universities!
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings has pledged a huge donation to black education in the wake of the Black Lives Matter protests against systemic racism and police brutality following the killing of George Floyd.
Reed, 59, and wife Patty Quillin have pledged $120 million to the United Negro College Fund and two historically black colleges based in Atlanta: Spelman College and Morehouse College, NBC News reports.
Both colleges will receive $40 million each. The remaining $40 million will be donated to the United Negro College Fund — which will support student scholarships at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
“The times are the most stressed, the most painful, that we’ve ever seen in our lives,” Reed shared. “But out of that pain can come some opportunity, too. And maybe this will be the moment things change.”
Reed explained that the donation is “the best gift we’ve ever given.”
“We wanted to do our part to draw attention, in this case, to the HBCU’s 150 years of resilience, of education young Black people and the stories not well understood in the white community,” Reed said.
Netflix also recently launched a curated Black Lives Matter category to show their support for the movement.
Gabrielle Union Says Simon Cowell Doesn't Think the Law Applies to Him; Calls Out NBC for Independent Investigation!
Gabrielle Union is opening up about her experience on America’s Got Talent along with her involvement in NBC’s investigation surrounding her exit.
During an appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, the 47-year-old actress said that she thought the show would be easy and fun, but recalled that things weren’t easy from the start, and she’s calling out AGT creator Simon Cowell.
“Day one, Simon Cowell is smoking cigarettes inside. I’ve worked a long time. I’ve worked with all kinds of people. I’ve never experienced that,” Gabrielle said, while also mentioning that she is severely allergic to cigarette smoke.
“When your boss — the person who has the ability to determine who gets opportunities and who doesn’t — doesn’t believe that the law applies to him or the rules apply to him, and he does it in full view of NBC, Fremantle and Syco and no one cares about Simon Cowell exposing all of these employees to second hand smoke, that’s day one,” Gabrielle claimed.
“What message do you think that sends to anyone that has an issue with the very real racism and the lack of accountability?” Gabrielle continued. “And it goes on and on and on.”
Gabrielle went on to discuss the investigation into AGT that NBC commissioned, saying that she thought it was going to be “independent.”
“I decided to participate in this investigation,” Gabrielle said. “Silly me, I thought ‘independent’ was independent. But when NBC and [producers] Fremantle and Syco pay for that investigation, they control it.”
“They turn over what they believe to be inflammatory things, or things that are not advantageous to me,” Gabrielle alleged. “In the middle of an investigation about racism and discrimination? This is what’s happening from the top of the company.”
Gabrielle then shared her thoughts on how Hollywood could treat black people in the industry.
“There has to be an increase in representation across the board from the top to the bottom. We have to be able to be okay with change that doesn’t always benefit us,” Gabrielle continued. “Some people believe that … the only way to lead is to center yourself in every argument. But what I’m learning throughout this whole process is, sometimes the best way to lead is to get out of the way and make room for someone else. We have to dismantle the whole thing. We can’t put a Band-Aid on a gunshot wound.”
Earlier this month, Gabrielle filed a discrimination complaint against America’s Got Talent producers. In the complaint, Gabrielle accused NBC exec Paul Telegdy of threatening her for speaking out against racism on set. NBC is denying Gabrielle‘s claim.
Woman Arrested For Stabbing Michael Jackson’s Niece “Because She Was A Ni**er”!
Police have arrested a Las Vegas Hispanic woman for allegedly stabbing Michael Jackson’s niece in the neck seven times and yelling racial slurs at her.
Page Six reports that 22-year-old Angela Bonell allegedly cut Yasmine Jackson on May 30 near her home. The woman says she acted out the hate crime because Yasmine “was a n—-r.” Video of the incident shows a police officer arresting Bonell and wrestling her to the ground just before helping Yasmine, who was bleeding out. “This young girl just stabbed this girl in the face,” a bystander nearby said in their recording of the attack. “She said the only reason she did it was “because she was a n—-r.”
Yasmine ended up taking to social media and sharing the details of the attack. Yasmine is the daughter of Joh’Vonie Jackson, Jackson’s half-sister. “This woman chased me down and started stabbing me. She said it’s because I was a n—-r, and that’s all I could hear while I was being stabbed. I can’t move my neck at all. I’m scared to be alone.”
Police arrested Bonell on suspicion of attempted murder with a deadly weapon with hate crime enhancement. She is currently being held on a $100,000 bail. The domestic terrorist is set to appear in court Tuesday, according to KSNV reports. “I pray to God that if you have any kind of hatred in your heart towards black people that you heal it. I didn’t deserve this, nobody does,” Yasmine wrote on Instagram.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to Daily Mail and Yasmine’s account, the woman threw a brook at Yasmine before chasing her with a knife and attacking her. The outlet reports that witnesses told police that Bonell complained about noise coming from Yasmine’s apartment. Yasmine lives above Bonell.
Actor Danny Masterson arrested, charged with 3 counts of rape!
Actor Danny Masterson has been arrested and charged with raping three women between 2001 and 2003, authorities said.
Masterson, 44, was charged Wednesday with three counts of rape by force of fear, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said in a statement.
The actor best known for playing Steven Hyde in That '70s Show from 1998 to 2006 was arrested at around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and was released on a $3.3 million bail hours later, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Prosecutors accuse Masterson of raping a 23-year-old woman in April 2003, a 23-year-old woman between January and December 2001 and a 28-year-old woman between October and December that same year.
Deputy District Attorney Reinhold Mueller of the Sex Crimes Division said all of the alleged crimes occurred at Masterson's Hollywood Hills residence.
If convicted, Masterson faces a maximum sentence of 45 years to life in prison. He is to be arraigned on Sept. 18.
Masterson's attorney Tom Mesereau said his client was "innocent" in a statement to CNN, stating, "we're confident that we will be exonerated when all the evidence finally comes to light and witnesses have the opportunity to testify."
"Obviously, Mr. Masterson and his wife are in complete shock considering that these nearly 20-year-old allegations are suddenly resulting in charges being filed, but they and their family are comforted knowing that ultimately the truth will come out," Mesereau said. "The people who know Mr. Masterson know his character and know the allegations to be false."
Masteron was fired from Netflix's The Ranch television show in late 2017 after four women accused him of sexual assault in separate incidents that go back to the early 2000s.
The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office said it declined to file charges in two other cases due to insufficient evidence in one and the statute of limitations in the other.
Rapper Future's Baby Mama Eliza Reign Rejects $1,000 A Month Child Support Offer!
Rapper Future’s baby mama Eliza Reign shut down his proposed child support deal which included a gag order preventing her from speaking about him publicly.
According to court documents obtained by Bossip, Future recently made a child support offer to Eliza. The rapper proposed he pay $1,000 a month in support for their baby Reign. Per the proposed deal, Future asked Eliza to sign a gag order and stop talking about him publicly.
The outlet reports Eliza turned down Future’s offer believing he was lowballing it. She believes Future should pay around $53,000 a month based on his reported $20 million a year income.
As previously reported, last year, Eliza sued Future for paternity, child support and custody. She accused him of being the father to her 1-year-daughter Reign.
Future responded to the lawsuit by accusing Eliza of having mental issues and said she was trying to get pregnant by a rich man.
The rapper filed a separate federal lawsuit against Eliza. He accused her of running around town spreading lies about him. Future admitted to having a sexual relationship with Eliza from 2016 until 2018. He claimed she used information learned during their private encounters and leaked it to the press.

16 Friends Test Positive For Coronavirus After A Birthday Party At A Florida Bar!
A Florida friend group all tested positive for coronavirus after a night of hanging out at a recently reopened Florida bar.
The group of 16 friends gathered for a friend’s birthday at the crowded Lynch’s Irish Pub on June 6th in Jacksonville, Florida. Ericka Crisp, who is also in healthcare, was amongst the group. She says that she has been sick since the gathering.
“We were careless, and we went out into a public place before we should have, and we weren’t wearing masks,” she told the local news station WJXT.
Crisp, along with Kat Layton and Dara Sweat, spoke to CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Tuesday. They want to remind the public that the virus is still a large threat to the public and that it may be too soon to reopen bars and restaurants.
“We want to raise awareness and get ahead of it,” Layton told Cuomo. “We want to tell people it’s really not ready for what we thought it was ready for, it’s too soon.”
“Standing there in front of those people, we knew we were pushing it,” Layton said of the crowded bar.
Within days, the group began getting sick one by one.
“Receiving the text messages that my friends were just boom, positive, boom, positive, boom, positive, back to back to back, it was overwhelming,” Sweat said.
Eventually, the entire group tested positive, with some coming down with flu-like symptoms, while others got seriously ill.
All three women are confident that they contradicted the disease as a result of that outing. The friends have been contacted by strangers who also got sick after visiting the same bar during that same weekend.
“I feel foolish, it’s too soon,” Crisp said.
Seven employees at Lynch’s Irish Pub in Jacksonville Beach have also tested positive for COVID-19, causing the general manager to voluntarily shut down last weekend for extensive sanitizing measures.
Since Florida began to reopen businesses, the state has seen a record number of new cases on Monday, according to the Florida Department of Health.
Florida Teen Quits Job at Publix After They Wouldn’t Let Him Wear Black Lives Matter Face Mask!
A teenager in Florida has quit his job at Publix after the grocery store chain refused to allow him to wear a face mask that supported the Black Lives Matter movement
18-year-old Quinton Desamours was moved by the protests happening across the country to combat police brutality, and he decided to show his support for the cause by writing the letters “BLM” on his face mask.
When he arrived for work, his supervisor told him that he wouldn’t be allowed on the floor with the mask on because it “was endangering myself and everybody else who worked there,” Desamours told reporters.
Rather than complying and changing his mask, Desamours decided he’d rather quit his position.
“I don’t want to be a part of a company that’s not committed to making a change,” he said. “This was never a political statement to me. It was all about equality and human rights.”
Publix, which recommends employees working on the floor to wear protective face masks, says that they support the fight against racial injustice. Their CEO, Todd Jones, recently wrote a letter to employees saying they support change.
“Like you, I’m saddened and unsettled by any racial injustice or events that divide this country,” the letter read. They even made a $1 million contribution to National Urban League affiliates across the country, according to reports.
When questioned as to why they wouldn’t allow the Black Lives Matter mask to be worn, the company said that they don’t “permit non-Publix messaging on clothing or accessories.”
Desamours, however, says that the rule is loosely enforced.
“Many employees have different designs on their masks,” he told reporters. “They just didn’t like the message I was trying to portray.”
Publix apparently reached out to the teen apologizing for the matter, but said “they don’t want to be apart of political views,” Desamours wrote on Twitter.
Starbucks recently faced a similar situation. They initially said that employees couldn’t wear any Black Lives Matter clothing, but they were forced to reverse that decision after public backlash.
