Ryan McGinley continues to work his magic and his latest photos of Rami Malek for GQ are going viral before the issue hits stands. McGinley shot Rami in a series of photos that have the Oscar-winning actor looking dashing and chic as he poses in a number of natural settings including being surrounded by greenery and bougainvilleas. McGinley shared multiple photos on his official Instagram account where he has more than 283,000 followers and GQ gave fans a little preview of what to expect from the September issue with a featured snap simply titled “Rami.”
GQ’s fashion editor and stylist Mobolaji Dawodu also shared multiple photos from the incredible shoot on his official Instagram account and the pictures are getting plenty of praise.
Rami Malek is fresh off his Oscar win for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody and will return in 2019 to reprise his role as Elliot Alderson in the USA hit series Mr. Robot for what will be the fourth and final season.
Malek is currently working on two movies. The first is a voice-over role where he will voice the character Chee-Chee in the upcoming movie The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle. Rami is currently filming the upcoming James Bond movie No Time To Die that stars Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas, Christoph Waltz, and Léa Seydoux. #Empire: Powerhouse Chicago lawyer tapped to investigate Jussie Smollett case
A Chicago judge has tasked former U.S. Attorney Dan Webb with investigating the dismissal of the Jussie Smollett case; Matt Finn reports.
A new chapter has opened in the Jussie Smollett saga, as a Chicago judge appoints one of the most prominent attorneys in the city to investigate the state prosecutor's office handling of the controversial case.
In June, Cook County Judge Michael Toomin ruled that a special prosecutor would be appointed to examine the decision of Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx's office to drop all charges against Smollett, who was accused of faking a racist, anti-gay hate crime, and later indicted on 16 counts of lying to authorities.
Friday, Judge Toomin tapped former U.S. Attorney Dan Webb to look into the decision to dismiss the charges, and the judge raised the possibility that Webb could pursue new charges against the former "Empire" actor. After he was sworn in by Judge Toomin, Webb spoke to reporters at the Leighton Criminal Court Building.
"This case is important. Judge Toomin has made that very clear to me. He thinks the public's confidence in criminal justice has been affected and I intend to move very quickly," said Webb.
Former Illinois appellate judge, Sheila O'Brien had petitioned for a special prosecutor leading to the Judge Toomin's ruling on a special prosecutor in June. O'Brien also reacted to the appointment Friday, saying she hopes that Foxx's office will cooperate with the new investigation.
"Everybody hopes that she and her staff will testify under oath if they are asked to. I hope she doesn't take the 5th Amendment, and I hope none of her staff takes the 5th Amendment...We all hope we get to the truth -- the whole truth -- under oath," O'Brien said.
In a statement Friday, Foxx said after Webb's appointment that her office pledged its "full cooperation" with the probe, adding that "public trust is paramount."

#HipHopNews: Kanye West & Dave Chappelle Bring Sunday Service To Dayton Weeks After Mass Shooting
DAYTON, OH – Kanye West surprised Dayton, Ohio with a special edition of Sunday Service in the wake of the mass shooting that left nine dead and 27 injured earlier this month.
West was accompanied by his wife Kim Kardashian and their children at Sunday’s event (August 25). Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock were also in attendance, as well as a large local crowd at the RiverScape MetoPark.
“We’ve been through a tough time,” Chappelle told the crowd. “There’s been tornados, there’s been Klan rallies, there’s been shooting, but we’re still here, we’re still strong. The best way to honor our fallen is getting up better than we were before.”
West and Chappelle met up Saturday (August 24) to celebrate Chappelle’s 46th birthday, where Kanye and a crowd serenaded Chappelle with a Stevie Wonder-version of “Happy Birthday.”
Chappelle is also holding his Gem City Shine benefit concert in Dayton on Sunday. The comedian lives in nearby Yellow Springs.

#OOOPS: 50 Cent Says He's Bringing Back Original "Power" Theme Song Following Backlash on Trey Songz!
NEW YORK, NY – 50 Cent has apparently heeded the call of Power fans. Following the social media backlash, the series co-creator took to Instagram Live where he addressed his 24.5 million followers and vowed to bring back the original “Big Rich Town” theme song for the rest of Season 6.
“Everybody talkin bout Trey Songz,” he said in a video clip. “Trey did that as a favor for me, man. I’m gonna have to put that motherfucker back the way it was [laughs].”
Well Power fans have spoken — they want R&B singer Joe back on the series’ theme song and Trey Songz out. But the STARZ show’s co-creator/actor 50 Cent apparently doesn’t understand what the big deal is.
Not too long after Trey started getting roasted on Twitter for his contributions to the “Big Rich Town” remix, 50 hopped on Instagram to share a video clip of Trey performing the track.
He seemed mostly annoyed the backlash was taking the focus off the Season 6 premiere, which airs on Sunday night (August 25).
“Damn it man,” he wrote in the caption. “y’all just wanta fuck with me today, talking bout put my song back or I’m a fuck you up 50. chill out alright, did you like the episode?
Joe provided vocal assistance for the original song for the first five seasons of Power. Naturally, fans were baffled by the decision to change the opening song for what is supposedly the last season of the popular series.
Some fans of the show are demanding Joe back on the song “by Monday,” but that remains to be seen.

Well, it looks like Chris Breezy and his ex-girlfriend Ammika are reportedly expecting a boy, according to sources close to TMZ.
News broke earlier this summer after Ammika shared a photo of what fans believed to be a baby bump. Brown also hinted at his ex’s pregnancy, with “baby mama” comments underneath her photos.
According to the publication, Chris and Ammika are getting along great. Sources close to the situation tells TMZ that Ammika is very happy with the way Breezy is providing for her “financially, medically, and emotionally.”
This will be Chris Brown’s second child and Ammika’s first.

According to a report from Page Six, not long after calling it quits with Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx has moved in the young singer, Sela Vave, into his home, and apparently, he’s been telling his friends repeatedly that she’s the “the next Beyoncé.”
Sources close to the star’s inner circle, 51, claim that the actor/performer is grooming Vave to be the next big musical sensation, moreover, he’s been showing her skills off to his friends in the entertainment business.
A source who spoke with the outlet claims Jamie has been praising Sela as a fantastic singer, adding that she’ll be the next Beyoncé. Reportedly, the star has been asking Vela to show off her singing skills. Jamie has been “attentive to Sala” and loves showing her skills to the world.
Reportedly, the 51-year-old and the 21-year-old singer were spotted holding hands outside the Bootsy Bellows nightclub in Los Angeles this past weekend while walking toward his Lamborghini SUV. Jamie has denied rumors of a romantic relationship entirely, claiming that she’s even younger than his daughter, Corinne, 25.

The Suicide Squad sequel adds Nathan Fillion and comedian Steve Agee to the cast!
Comedian Steve Agee and actor Nathan Fillion have been added to the cast of The Suicide Squad.
Nether actor is a stranger to the comic world. Agee, 50, previously worked with director James Gunn on the 2017 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. portraying Gef, a ravager, while Fillion, 48, has past worked with Gunn on a number of previous projects, including a voice role in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy, and roles in the 2006 film Slither and 2010 movie Super.
Both of the latest additions to the cast were first reported by Deadline. Agee, who's also been seen on Superstore, New Girl and The Sarah Silverman Program, is slated to provide the voice of the character King Shark, a villain humanoid role that was featured in two issues of Superboy in the fall of 1994.
Fillion has maintained a presence on TV on shows such as The Rookie, Big Mouth and Santa Clarita Diet, and is also an accomplished voice actor.
The performers join an ensemble cast featuring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang and Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag.
Other new additions to the cast include Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian and Daniela Melchior.
A table read slate for September 11, and production on the series will begin September 23.
The first Suicide Squad hit theaters in November of 2016, and took in $746 million worldwide, with more than $325 million in domestic box office totals.
Gunn is also slated to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, as he was reinstated to the film franchise this past March after he was fired from the franchise in 2018 after a series of controversial older tweets resurfaced.
The Suicide Squad is slated to arrive in theaters August 6, 2021.

Of that, 5,000 were in album sales and the rest were almost all from streaming.

Series creator Vince Gilligan is back as writer and director of the long-awaited sequel film starring Aaron Paul reprising his Emmy-winning role as Jesse Pinkman.
Netflix may have learned a valuable lesson about its tech savvy users. Hoping to wait to make a formal announcement on Monday, the streaming giant had to shift gears rapidly after users discovered a placeholder on its platform for the long-awaited "Breaking Bad" film.
After Bob Odenkirk dropped the bombshell that filming had already completed on the sequel film, rabid fans of the popular series began scouring the Internet for any clues they could find out about it.
Now that the drug dealer is out of the meth lab, Netflix decided to come clean and revealed all sorts of details about the upcoming film, including its name and official release date.
Perhaps even more exciting, they teased fans with the official movie poster and a teaser trailer for the event, which is coming much sooner than people were probably thinking a week or two ago.
With series creator Vince Gilligan steering the good ship "El Camino," as the film is officially called, and Aaron Paul back as second lead Jesse Pinkman, the stage is set for an exciting return to a world we never left, thanks in large part to Gilligan's Emmy-nominated prequel series "Better Call Saul," starring the aforementioned Odenkirk as the infamous sleazebag lawyer.
Coming sooner than later, "El Camino" is poised to hit the streaming service on October 11, and features Jesse "running from his captors, the law, and his past." Variety reports the film will then make its way back to AMC, the network that spawned the whole franchise.
A huge part of Jesse's past, of course, is Heisenberg himself, Bryan Cranston's Walter White. Surely, the mastermind behind all of Jesse's troubles will also be making a triumphant return in some capacity (no spoilers here!), though this is clearly a Jesse-centric project.
Cranston has previously confirmed the project was in the works but would maddeningly never say if he was or wasn't going to be a part of it. Our money is on him showing up, though.
We also know that Jesse's long-time friend Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) is back in the fold, as the first teaser focuses entirely on the inept stooge being interrogated about the disappearance of a certain fugitive.
The titular El Camino was last seen with Jesse behind the wheel making his escape from his captors, so it's safe to say the authorities won't be the only ones looking for him.
It's not completely clear if the film will take place entirely in the immediate aftermath of his escape, or if it will take a jump into the future. The series did, after all, go off the air six years ago.
In an interview with The New York Times, Paul said, "It’s a chapter of Breaking Bad that I didn’t realize that I wanted. And now that I have it, I’m so happy that it’s here." He did not, of course, go into any more specifics about what the chapter entails or even when it takes place exactly.
The actor also confirmed Odenkirk's assertion that the film was completed, saying they did it under the guise of an indie film called "Greenbrier."
"El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie" is written and directed by Vince Gilligan. Starring Aaron Paul and Charles Baker (plus many more, we're sure), it hits Netflix on Friday, October 11.

Leading up to her big reveal, the mommy-to-be has been sharing her thoughts and feelings writing:
Turning 33 on the 26th, so naturally I’m reflecting.
I’ve always kept to myself, I don’t think that will ever change.
I’ve always found comfort in mystery. Maybe it’s a Virgo thing.
But all mysteries aside, I can’t even put into words how excited I am for this journey in becoming a mother.
I often sit and think about what her laugh will be like and how all I want to do is protect her. I’m so happy that she picked me.
I feel so blessed to have entered this next phase of my life. No more overthinking. It’s time to live, grow, teach and above all, learn. I look at it like I get to live life again, but through her eyes. It’s an unmatchable feeling. Thank you for letting me reflect. ♥️
This past year has been such a transformative year for me, I honestly can’t imagine what’s to come as I continue to become even more comfortable in my own skin. Building routine and structure for myself was really key for my growth. In that I found the ground that I was always meant to be standing on. Living in truth. Living in health. Living in love.
This year for me was about balance and taking my power back where I had given it away too freely. I tend to want to please everyone and I’m hard on myself when I fail at it, so the power of saying no and owning it was a life changer. The power of letting go of things not meant for me or things that weren’t deserving of my heart and time were as well.

Beyonce’s Mom Tina Lawson Claps Back on Jay-Z haters regarding his NFL deal
The debate continues to rage unabated regarding music mogul Jay-Z’s deal with the National Football League.
Some have castigated Hov for allegedly “selling out” and profiting off the three-year struggle of former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Others have staunchly supported Jay-Z’s stance that it is appropriate to progress toward “actionable items,” as Jay put it, while maintaining our right to protest inequities in America.
You can obviously put Jay-Z’s mother-in-law Tina Lawson in the latter category. After spending more than a week watching Beyoncé’s husband getting ripped like a carcass for shaking hands with NFL Commissioner Roger Goddell, she fired up her Instagram account to defend Jay.
Actually, Lawson reposted the question that documentarian and political activist Michael Moore asked: “Meanwhile Jay-Z been sending millions of cases of water to Flint and not even saying a word about it. What have these Twitter woke blue checkmarks done?”
Lawson reposted the quote on her Instagram page with the caption: “Repost: good question.”
People seemed to be split on Lawson’s remarks as encapsulated by the following two comments:
@Adamson7834 seconded Lawson’s sentiments, saying: “First of all people act like he is supposed to save the African American race…. please! People are tearing him down because of his deal with the NFL but still watch football every Monday night, Thursday night and all day Sunday. Both him and his wife have given to numerous charities and organizations, AND have done a lot for their people. People need to stop reaching, stop passing judgment, and stop putting all of our problems on the shoulders of one man.”
Another fan, however, wrote: “This NFL situation has nothing to do with Flint. It’s a wonderful thing to be financially able to help others who are in need — no one is taking that away from him. But there’s nothing wrong with people questioning Jay and this deal. He’s not above criticism — no one is.”

Three armed robbers pull off brazen DAYLIGHT heist at celebrity jewelers in New York's Diamond District!
Armed robbers pulled off a massive jewelry heist in broad daylight in Manhattan after holding employees at gunpoint, binding them with zip ties and duct tape, then making off with expensive items.
Three suspects robbed Avianne and Co. jewelry store in New York City's Diamond District on Sunday afternoon.
The official value of the items stolen has not be confirmed, but NBC New York reports that a victim says it is estimated around $4 million.
Authorities received reports of the robbery at the 28 West 47th Street location at 12.02pm.
On August 25, three men pretending to be customers walked into the store and then held on site employees at gun point
They allegedly stole display items, cleared on the store's safe and escaped on foot while surveillance cameras captured the incident
The robbers proceeded to force the employees into a backroom, restricted them with zip ties and duct tape.
They placed all the stolen items in a duffel bag. They allegedly cleared out the store's safe and stole display items, The New York Post reports.
The men were able to make an escape before authorities arrived to the scene, possibly heading east on 47th Street, according to AM New York.
