The Daily Buzz For August 19 ☕πŸ“°☕

Olivia Colman Covers Entertainment Weekly! She recalls the first time she met the QueenπŸ‘Έ
Season three of hit Netflix drama The Crown finally has a release date, with an all-new cast, including Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, set to grace the small screen.
Despite the pressure of following in Claire Foy's footsteps, the Oscar-winning actress had plenty of inspiration to work from following a surprise run-in with Her Majesty.

During a cover interview with Entertainment Weekly, Colman recalled the "sticky-handed and bit sort of stumbly" moment.
"I have accidentally met the Queen. It was at a British Film Institute gathering to raise the profile of British film, independent film," the 45-year-old recalled. "We suddenly found ourselves, two hundred people, in a big queue."
"I thought maybe we were going in to have some food. I hadn’t read the order of the day. [I] looked around the corner, and there was the Queen and Prince Philip, and went, 'Oh! Oh, no! I don’t know what to do!'"

She continued, "And a gentleman with epaulettes said, 'Don’t overdo it, little bow, and you say, Your Majesty, and your Royal Highness, and go. Make it as swift as possible and go. 'Alright, Okay.' And I managed to remember what to say, sort of sticky-handed and bit sort of stumbly. That was it!"
Although she's not the only star of the forthcoming season who has had an awkward run-in with the Windsor clan, as Helena Bonham Carter, who is set to take on the role of Princess Margaret, had a bizarre encounter with the late royal.
"My uncle was actually very close to her," she told the US publication. "She was pretty scary. At one point, she met me at Windsor Castle and she said, 'You are getting better, aren’t you?'"
Bonham Carter guessed the princess was referring to her acting skills, "I presume that’s what she meant," the actress added.
Netflix recently announced that season three of the beloved show will return on November 17 and is set to explore the years 1964 to 1977.
The focus will shift from the Queen and Prince Philip's relationship to focus on Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon's marriage breakdown.

Season three will also introduce viewers to a young Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, played by Josh O'Connor and Emerald Fennell, as their love story famously began in the late '70s.
His eventual engagement to Princess Diana didn't take place until 1981 - meaning the late royal may not enter the series until season four.

The Crown season 3 will launch on Netflix on Sunday, 17 November.

#RHOA: Porsha Williams Wants you Folks to Mind your business and stop BODY SHAMING HER!πŸ˜’
Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Porsha Williams has wanted to be a mom for quite a while. Now that her beautiful daughter Pilar Jhena is here, she is 100% focused on being the best mom she can be. However, that doesn’t mean she won’t carve out a little time to put the body shamers in their place.

The new mommy recently had a pool day with her sister Lauren Williams, her best friend Shamea Morton, and both of their daughters. Porsha looked incredible in a black bikini with sexy cutouts while little miss PJ was a doll in her baby Burberry one-piece. It was the perfect mix of family and bonding time with the little ones.

Unfortunately, the reality star couldn’t enjoy a day at the pool without a troll coming at her. Though she did receive tons of love, Williams was criticized about her body under a photo of herself and her daughter. “It looks a teeny bit photoshopped,” one commenter wrote. “You need to cover up P until you lose the baby phat,” read another comment.
After scrolling through some of the negative comments, Williams set the record straight with her followers that she isn’t buying into the pressure society puts on new moms to shed their pregnancy weight. “Moms are badass don’t let anyone tell you different,” she writes. “Ps: It’s just weird I actually get this a lot. I think social media has altered people’s perception of what moms look like. A lot of moms tell me how they get under handed compliments or jokes about their weight and it really affects them in a negative way. I just feel like we should be able to bask in motherhood and let our bodies naturally heal and evolve.”

In an recent interview, Williams said she’s in no rush to get back to her pre-pregnancy weight. “I would definitely enjoy a snatched body, but I’m not concentrating on that,” she said. “I waited 37 years to have this baby. I’m concentrating on PJ and her health and how she’s doing.”

Online trolls aren’t the only ones who have criticized Williams’ appearance. The reality star posted a text message spat between herself and Nene Leakes, who allegedly called her fat six days after giving birth. Experiences like this are why Porsha’s says she’s done subscribing to unfair body image standards. “I had Pj 4 months ago and I just don’t feel ready to workout,” she continued in her recent post. “The snap back culture has put pressure on most moms so they end up feeling insecure about what their body is naturally doing and looks like. Ion know call me weird but I actually adore my lil marks and feel like it’s a lil badge of honor as all moms should🀷🏾‍♀️❤️ I just want to use myself to encourage fellow mommies.

Clearly, the folks who felt it necessary to be hateful in the comments need to get their vision checked ASAP, because mama looks amazing!

#Empire: Jussie Smollett Contemplates Suing the City of Chicago Over His Arrest for Alleged Hoax AttackπŸ˜•
The City of Chicago has already sued Jussie Smollett for allegedly orchestrating a fake attack against himself and now the "Empire" star is letting it be known he might file a lawsuit of his own.
Smollet and the City of Chicago filed a joint status report as part of the lawsuit filed by the city back in April.
As part of the status report, Smollett's attorneys state, "Defendant contemplates filing an action against the City of Chicago and/or its agents for their conduct underlying the arrest and their conduct thereafter including constitutional claims and state law claims. Defendant reserves the right to bring such claims at the appropriate time provided by law."

The report also states that both sides feel the earliest they will be ready for trial is June 2020. They estimate the trial would take two or three days to complete.
The two sides also say they have "engaged in settlement discussions, but those discussions are not ongoing."
The City of Chicago is seeking to recoup the costs of the investigation into Smollett's alleged attack.
In the complaint, the city did not mince words in saying Smollett staged the incident.

They wrote, “On January 29, 2019, Defendant submitted a false police report claiming that he was the victim of a racist and homophobic beating by unknown attackers," the lawsuit states. "In reality, Defendant knew his attackers and orchestrated the purported attack himself. Later, when police confronted him with evidence about his attackers, he still refused to disclose his involvement in planning the attack.
Smollett responded with a motion to dismiss, saying his story never changed and he maintained his innocence, pointing to his criminal charges being dropped.

Smollett said the lawsuit “appears to be an unprecedented effort to seek penalties and resources expended in connection with allegedly false statements made to the police where the related criminal case concerning the statements was dismissed nolle pros on all counts.”

Actress Jessica Biel Is 'Forever Grateful' for Working with Peter Fonda on Her First Movie Role! πŸ˜₯
"I'm forever grateful for him and the impact he had on me and my career," Biel said
Biel, 37, paid tribute to the star on Instagram after his family confirmed his death after suffering respiratory failure due to lung cancer. He was 79.
“I had the honor working with #PeterFonda on the first movie I ever made (as an angsty teenager with a nose ring),” Biel said of the 1997 film Ulee’s Gold.
“Ulee’s Gold was a huge opportunity and he believed in me. I’m forever grateful for him and the impact he had on me and my career,” the mother of one wrote alongside a throwback photo of the pair.
“I’m sure countless others can say the same. Rest in paradise,” Biel concluded.

Peter won a Golden Globe Award for best actor in a motion picture drama for his role as a widowed beekeeper and Vietnam veteran Ulysses “Ulee” Jackson, who raises his granddaughters because his son is in prison.

Biel’s heartfelt message comes after stars and directors, including Peter’s sister Jane Fonda, shared a flood of tributes to the late actor. She called Peter “my sweet-hearted baby brother, the talker of the family,” adding, “I have had beautiful alone time with him these last days. He went out laughing.”
Kate Hudson, Ava DuVernay and director Rob Reiner were among those who expressed their condolences on social media.

“My heart goes out to Jane over the loss of her brother,” Reiner tweeted on Friday. “Peter Fonda was a revolutionary filmmaker during a revolutionary time. Born in the house I now live in, his spirit will be missed.”
“Rest In Peace, Kind Sir,” director DuVernay added, alongside a selfie with Peter.
Hudson shared a photo of Peter to her Instagram Story, writing, “Sending love to the Fondas and friends.”
Peter — who was born in New York City to screen legend Henry Fonda and Frances Ford Seymour — was best known for his starring role as Wyatt in 1969’s Easy Rider, which he also produced and co-scripted.
At the time of his death, he was in pre-production for a movie called Skate God, expected to release in 2020, according to IMDb. The last film he acted in was The Last Full Measure, which is expected to be released later this year.

In a statement his family said, “While we mourn the loss of this sweet and gracious man, we also wish for all to celebrate his indomitable spirit and love of life. In honor of Peter, please raise a glass to freedom.”

Following the news of his death, actress and The Last Full Measure costar Diane Ladd, who starred alongside Fonda in her first film, Wild Angels in 1966 said “Peter was a friend, a wonderful actor, and a great humanitarian. He rang a bell for culture. He will indeed be missed.”

Heather Locklear was ordered to complete a residential treatment program or face jail time after she pleaded no contest to multiple charges of battery on first responders at her Southern California home last year.

She had been hospitalized earlier for a psychological evaluation after reported threatening to shoot her herself.

#BoxOfficeNewsπŸŽžπŸ“½: YES THEY’RE GOOD! 'Good Boys' wins the Weekend Box Office at #1 with 21 Million!πŸ™Œ
Universal scored a strong performance this weekend from their new R-rated comedy Good Boys, which out performed expectations and took the top spot at the weekend box office. The studio also scored a second place finish with Hobbs & Shaw over a weekend that saw yet another five new wide releases hit theaters. However, outside of Good Boys, the weekend's four other newcomers mostly struggled over the weekend, which includes WB's Blinded by the Light narrowly finding its way into the top ten while UAR's Where'd You Go, Bernadette fell short.

With an estimated $21 million, Universal's Good Boys finished atop the weekend box office. Doing so with not only a strong critical reception heading into the weekend, but audiences liked what they saw, with the film receiving an 89% audience score at RottenTomatoes and a "B+" CinemaScore from opening day audiences. The film played to a crowd that was 52% male and 59% of the opening weekend audience was aged 25 or older. Looking ahead, the performance for the $20 million production is very close to the studio's $20.5 million opening for Blockers last April, which went on to gross over $60 million domestically.

In a year filled with sequels, adaptations and remakes, Good Boys sits alongside The Curse of La Llorona and Us (another Universal release) as only the third original film in 2019 to top the weekend box office. To go along with that, the film's performance helped Universal become only the second studio in 2019 to top $1 billion at the domestic box office so far.

Internationally, Good Boys opened in 13 overseas markets with an estimated $2.1 million, led by a $1 million opening in the UK. Next weekend the film will debut in France, Germany, Spain and Austria with openings in Italy and Australia in September and an early October launch in Mexico.
Finishing in second is Universal's Hobbs & Shaw, which held on pretty well as it entered its third weekend in release, dipping -44% and finishing with an estimated $14.1 million for the weekend as its domestic cume now climbs to $133.7 million. Internationally, the film added another $45.7 million, including a franchise record, $15 million debut in South Korea. Overall the film has now grossed over $303 million overseas for a worldwide cume totaling $437 million.

Disney's The Lion King landed in third place with an estimated $11.9 million as it is closing in on $500 million domestically after leap-frogging Finding Dory on the all-time domestic chart this weekend to become the 14th highest grossing domestic release of all-time with over $496 million so far.
Internationally, The Lion King added another $33.8 million this weekend for an overseas cume that now stands at $939.1 million and a $1.435 billion global tally. The result makes the film the #9 worldwide release of all-time, topping Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Sony Animation debuted The Angry Birds Movie 2 on Tuesday of this week and the animated sequel has struggled when compared to the original release, which delivered over $38 million in its first three days. By comparison, Angry Birds 2 could only muster an estimated $10.5 million this weekend for a $16.2 million six-day performance. The film received a "B+" CinemaScore while playing to an audience that was 51% female with 53% of the crowd coming in aged 25 or older.

Rounding out the top five is Lionsgate's Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, which dipped -52% in its sophomore frame for an estimated $10 million and a domestic cume that now totals more than $40 million after just ten days in release. Internationally, the film added another $5.6 million for an international cume that now tops $14 million and a global cume just shy of $55 million.

Ed Smart, father of kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart, comes out the closet admits He’s Gay!🌈
Ed Smart, the father of kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart, came out as gay in a letter for family and friends posted to Facebook and said he and his wife are separating, local media in Utah reported.
Smart confirmed to the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune that he wrote the letter but declined to comment further. The Tribune reported that the post published Thursday has since been deleted.

Elizabeth Smart told the newspapers that she was "deeply saddened" by her parents' separation, but didn't comment on her father's sexuality.
In 2002, then 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart was abducted from her home in Salt Lake City and held captive for nine months. Smart was repeatedly raped and drugged by her captors Brian David Mitchell and Wanda Barzee. She has since become an advocate for kidnapping and sexual assault survivors.
One of Smart's captors released: Wanda Barzee, one of the kidnappers of Elizabeth Smart, released from prison
In his letter, Ed Smart, 64, acknowledged it was "one of the hardest letters I have ever written."

"I have recently acknowledged to myself and my family that I am gay," the letter states, per the Deseret News.
"The decision to be honest and truthful about my orientation comes with its own set of challenges, but at the same time it is a huge relief," he continued. "Living with the pain and guilt I have for so many years, not willing to accept the truth about my orientation has at times brought me to the point where I questioned whether life was still worth living."

Smart also called his wife, Lois, "loyal" and said she is an "extraordinary mother."
"I deeply regret the excruciating pain this has caused her. Hurting her was never my intent. While our marriage will end, my love for Lois and everyone in my family is eternal," the newspaper reported he wrote.
According to the Deseret News and the Tribune, court records show Lois Smart filed for divorce July 5.
In her statement to the newspaper, Elizabeth Smart said she still loves and admires her parents.
"Their decisions are very personal. As such, I will not pass judgment and rather am focusing on loving and supporting them and the other members of my family," she said.

Ed Smart said his announcement came along with a change in beliefs. While he doesn't "find solace any longer" within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Smart said his faith is still strong.
The church recently changed its teaching on same-sex couples, saying that gay marriage will no longer be considered a sin worthy of expulsion and that LGBTQ parents can have their children baptized.
New same-sex teaching: Mormons to allow baptisms for children of LGBTQ parents, won't expel those in same-sex marriages

The reversal came in April 2019, four years after the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said those in same-sex relationships were “apostates’’ who must be banished from the religion.
The church's change in doctrine, however, did not reverse its opposition to gay marriage and still regards same-sex relationships as a “serious transgression."
Smart wrote in his letter that "it is not my responsibility to tell the church, its members or its leadership what to believe about the rightness or wrongness of being LGBTQ,” according to the Deseret News.

He added: "In the end, people are free to say what they will, and believe what they want, but there is one voice more important than any other, that of my Savior, who wants each of us to love one another, to be honest and joyful and find a meaningful life."

Blake Shelton Denies Shading Lil Nas X on New Track 'Hell Right'😏
Blake Shelton is clarifying the lyrics to his new song. The 43-year-old country singer teamed up with Trace Adkins for the new song “Hell Right” – and people are thinking that he’s dissing Lil Nas X and his number one hit song “Old Town Road.”

“Then the girl from the small town took off the ‘Old Town’ put on a little Hank Jr.” Blake sings while Trace adds, “Thank God.”
In the past, Lil Nas X has said he prefers listening to country singer Hank Williams Jr. over Blake.
A spokesperson for Blake released a statement saying that he isn’t dissing Lil Nas X on the song.
“It’s absolutely not throwing any kind of shade at Lil Nas X at all,” the spokesperson shared with Variety. “Blake says this literally has nothing to do with anything at all except how much the song is played.”
Blake then seemingly threw a swipe at Lil Nas X‘s “Old Town Road” collaborate Billy Ray Cyrus.
“It could have been ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ or any other (overplayed) song,” the rep said before adding, “Blake talked to Billy Ray and he thought it was funny.”
Lil Nas X then seemingly responded to the shade in a now deleted tweet that said, “It don’t slap like old town road tho” along with a link to Variety‘s original story.

Listen to Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins‘ song “Hell Right” now. HERE

Dallas Cowboys star Ezekiel Elliott will not be facing criminal charges over a Las Vegas altercation with a security guard in May, according to police documents obtained by TMZ Sports.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police met with prosecutors last month and after reviewing the evidence in the case, prosecutors felt they could not move forward with charges against Elliott and will close the case.

As previously reported, 19-year-old Kyle Johnson, who was working as a security guard, was knocked over a guard rail during a parking lot dispute at the Electric Daisy Carnival.

Elliott was not arrested because Johnson told police he did not want to press charges, however, after the NFL player was not suspended by the league for the incident Johnson changed his mind and filed a police report.

In order to avoid it, rumor has it that they are working hard on making season 12 into the very best one yet!

It sounds like the RHONY celebs are fearful they might end up like Vicki Gunvalson which is why they are on high alert, trying to prove their usefulness to the show.
More specifically, there have been rumors that some of the Housewives, including Tinsley Mortimer and Ramona Singer risked losing their spot on the show.

So, they are working hard to avoid that from happening!
One insider dished to HollywoodLife that ‘After a few of the ladies felt fearful about what would happen to their fate on Real Housewives of NYC, they are all satisfied and excited to be returning next season. They all seem excited to get back to filming later this month. Everyone wanted to come back and everyone wanted everyone to come back, despite any tensions because, at the end of the day, they love to film together.’

‘Ramona was a bit nervous since rumors were swirling she’d be let go as was Tinsley. They’d both like another ally going into next season.
