David Stephen Bell has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of assault after a viral video showed him shoving then punching an 11-year-old black girl in the face with a closed fist outside of an Asheville, North Carolina mall.

Bell, 51, was arrested by an off duty police officer and charged with assault of a female under 12-years-old and two counts of assault on a female.

It’s unclear what prompted the incident, but in the clip circulating online, a group of young black girls are riled up and appear to be arguing with Bell.
Bell is seen standing still in the midst of the madness. Then, out of nowhere, he shoves one of the girls. She falls back and begins to approach him again – that’s when he punched her to the ground.
All of the other girls began to run and scream in total shock.
The Asheville Citizen Times reported that all victims involved in the incident refused medical treatment and they did not want to go to the hospital.
The incident is still under investigation by the police.
I’d really like to know the events that led up to this grown man punching a child in the face.
