Ciara for Cosmopolitan US  November 2018 says she Worked Out 3 Times a Day After Giving Birth to Daughter Sienna!
Ciara is opening up about her health and fitness routine.

The stunning "Dose" singer is on the cover of Cosmopolitan's November issue, in which she opens up about everything from her ambition to dealing with trolls to her workout routine after giving birth to baby girl Sienna Princess Wilson last year. Ciara and husband Russell Wilson welcomed their daughter Sienna in April 2017, she also shares a 4-year-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn, with her ex, Future.

After giving birth to Sienna, Ciara tells Cosmo she hit the gym up to three times a day.
"It was kind of like, wake up in the morning, breastfeed, eat a small meal, go train, come back in, breastfeed, eat another meal, go train, then come back, have another meal, and then a third training session at night," she tells the magazine. "It was a good challenge, one I set for myself, not for anyone else. Taking care of myself makes me feel really good. And I want to keep it sexy too, you know."
With a seventh album on the way, Ciara continues to deliver hits for her fans, like her latest song "Dose," which dropped last month. Talking about her ambition with Cosmo, Ciara shares, "I never thought, I can't be because of the color of my skin, I can't be because of my gender. No dream is too big. I want to be a billionaire. The more resources, the more you can do. But I think my greatest accomplishment 10 years from now is that I would have a successful life as it pertains to my marriage and being a mom. It's cool to want to do all these creative things, but it's no good to gain the world if you lose your soul."
Ciara also shares that she was inspired by Destiny's Child after watching them perform on a morning news show.

"They were killing it, and I just went, 'This is what I want to do. I'm gonna be an entertainer,'" she recalls. "The first goal I wrote down was to get discovered. The second was to sell 3 to 4 million records. Third, have longevity."

As a result of all of her success, Ciara has to deal with unwanted attention from trolls online. So how does she deal with it?
"When someone comes for you and you didn't send for them, you keep your eye on the prize," she tells Cosmo. "I know what my mission is. I know what I'm hoping for and working hard for every day. And that's my focus. I'm not going to let people steal my joy. I move on. New day, new opportunity, new energy, let's go."

Cosmo's November issue hits newsstands on Oct. 9.

Rihanna makes surprise appearance at Sephora in Singapore for Fenty Beauty anniversary
Rihanna makes a surprise visit to Sephora Ion Orchard in Singapore to mark the first anniversary of her makeup line, Fenty Beauty, on Oct 1, 2018.

Even pop star Rihanna needed a touch up after making a surprise appearance at Sephora Ion Orchard on Monday (Oct 1) where a crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of her.
The founder of Fenty Beauty used her own Invisimatte Blotting Powder to do the job.
Hot off an appearance and masterclass in Dubai over the weekend, she made her way to the store at about 9.45pm to celebrate the first anniversary of the brand.
Around 200 invited guests and media were at the store as the 30-year-old Barbadian mingled with beauty fans and posed for selfies. A sizeable crowd of hundreds had gathered outside the store hours before she arrived.

The star, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was joined by Fenty make-up artists Hector Espinal and Priscilla Ono.

Just before the event, she announced her surprise appearance via Instagram stories, saying "Surprise Singapore! I'm here! Come meet me @sephorasg ion mall tonight. We ain't done celebrating @fentybeauty's anniversary yet. Can't wait to see ya there!"
The brand, which launched worldwide in September last year, is best known for introducing an inclusive, much-lauded 40-shade foundation range.

Since then, the line has expanded to include everything from eyeliner and eyeshadow palettes, to lipsticks and brushes.
The most recent additions to the range were four shades of her long-wear Stunna Lip Paints liquid lipstick. Initially, it came only in a universal shade of red, called Uncensored, meant to match any skin tone. The new shades, which were released one by one online via Sephora over the past week, are also universal shades. They are Unveil, a light brown, Uncuffed, a rosey mauve, Unbutton, a peachy nude and Uninvited, a rich black shade.

As of Monday, the liquid lipsticks are also available in Sephora stores.
On Sunday, Rihanna was in Dubai for the first live Fenty Beauty Artistry & Beauty Talk with 250 fans.

Fenty Beauty is produced by the Kendo division of French luxury goods conglomerate LVMH, which makes cosmetics for popular labels such as Marc Jacobs Beauty and Kat Von D Beauty.

Halle Berry Rips Apart White Man Who Tried to Accuse Her of Sexual Assault
Someone accused Halle Berry of sexually assaulting him, and the actress was none too pleased about it. In fact, not only did Berry deny it, she blasted the accuser and got a big response for it.

“Bumped into Halle at a party,” wrote a man name Heath Wilson under Berry’s comment section of an unrelated post. “I was a little drunk and knocked the drink out of her hand. I tried to apologize, but she grabbed me by my genitalia and said ‘This is how you can say sorry.’ I told her no, but she persisted.”
“I was lucky enough to get away but imagine how many of her victims weren’t able to escape her clutches,” the man added. “Just telling my truth. #whowillstandwithme.”

“I don’t know you, bruh,” responded Berry. “And you don’t get to make comments about me like this. I have never met you, nor have I ever disrespected anyone the way you have suggested. Now get a life and get the f— off my page with that bullsh–. Peace chicken grease.”

After Berry’s response, Wilson made his Instagram page private, so it’s safe to assume he was blasted by her fans as well.

Meanwhile, a lot of folks seemed surprised by the actress’ words and tone. Others, however, said they knew she could get a little “hood” if necessary.
“I knew about Halle when I saw the outtakes from her on the ‘Bernie Mac Show,’” one person wrote. “Tasha jumps up like she was going to get out the casket and do something. When Halle said ‘Well, get your ass out then,’ I screamed and watched that clip at least five more times. She was so smooth and natural with it so yeah, I can see her typing every single word of that response.”

“People always act shocked when a Halle or Obama or Mariah’s Black[ness] flies out their ass,” another person wrote. “They are old school, mixed people who identify with Blackness. They know what the game is, and I’m sure have had to defend themselves too many times to name.”
There were also some who said the accuser was trying to ride the coattails of the #MeToo movement, and they thanked Berry for setting him straight.
“I’m glad she gathered him,” one person commented.
“This made me cackle,” someone else wrote. “I love this. Go Ms. Berry.”

#BROADWAYNEWS: Kinky Boots will end its NYC run on April 2019!
“Kinky Boots,” the Cyndi Lauper-Harvey Fierstein collaboration that won the best new musical Tony Award in 2013, will end its Broadway run next spring.
The lead producers, Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig, said Friday night that the final performance will be next April 7. At that point, the show will have had 34 preview and 2,507 regular performances, making it the 25th-longest-running Broadway production in history.
The musical has been a significant hit — it has grossed $297 million just on Broadway, and it is also currently on tours in North America and Britain, and playing in London and Hamburg, Germany. There have also been productions in Korea, Canada, Australia and Japan (where the show returns next spring).

The musical, adapted from a 2005 film, is an inspirational and rousing tuner about a young Englishman who decides to make boots for drag performers in an effort to save his family’s shoe factory. The show, which won six Tony Awards, features music and lyrics by Ms. Lauper, a book by Mr. Fierstein and direction by Jerry Mitchell.

NYPD Sergeant Says Promotion Was Denied Due To His Support Of Colin Kaepernick
According to The Daily News, an NYPD sergeant is claiming his promotion was denied  Friday due to his support for Colin Kaepernick.
Sgt. Edwin Raymond, 33, said he was scheduled to be promoted until cops under him reported allegations regarding his handling of two domestic violence complaints.

“It is unfortunate. I did a press conference in support of Colin Kaepernick, using his status to put a spotlight on issues in policing that need to be fixed,” Raymond claimed. “Because of the controversy a lot of cops criticized him. Me being aligned with him was seen as standing with the enemy.”

Raymond scored No. 26 out of 1,325 sergeants on his lieutenants’ test.
Ed Mullins, the president of the Sergeants Benevolent Association, said the case is yet another example of a double standard and criticized the NYPD’s disciplinary system.

“Decisions are made on the sly, and there are people who have pending charges and still get promoted, and others whose promotions are held back for reasons that are never explained,” Mullins said. “If this doesn’t appear to be retaliation, then I don’t know what is.”
Two former federal prosecutors and a federal judge are looking currently looking into the case. A senior police official said the department received complaints about Raymond’s conduct in enforcing orders of protection and an investigation is pending.

“The department takes domestic violence very seriously and is obligated to look at these incidents,” the official said.  The NYPD declined to comment.
Raymond was featured in the documentary “Crime and Punishment,” where he talked about quota-driven cops manipulating their power.

“Quota-driven broken windows policing causes more collateral damage — arrests and summonses for their own sake. It doesn’t affect crime,” said Raymond.
The allegations against him refer to an incident Sept. 17, 2017. Police in Brooklyn North responded to a domestic violence call claiming that a woman saw an ex-boyfriend and called 911. When the cops got there, they checked their phone and saw an order of protection, yet Raymond let him go anyway.

Raymond says that story is false. He claims the man was sitting in his vehicle with his current girlfriend when the ex, and mother of his three children, walked by. She took a bat and bashed in his car mirror. The man fled from the car and called 911. The angry ex then ran inside to her mother’s building.
Raymond says when he arrived, he spoke with the man, who asked the cop not to arrest her. “She’s the mother of my kids,” the man said. “The damage to my car won’t cost anything.”

Raymond gave the message to responding officers not to arrest him. The cops then said the woman has an order of protection against him and wanted to arrest him anyway. The man has been arrested 20 times prior.
“It was nonsense,” Raymond says. They (the cops) completely manipulated the situation…They turned the woman into the victim.”
“These cops went thinking the numbers would give their claims more plausibility, and unfortunately the department is choosing to entertain this and use it as a dagger to end my promotion,” Raymond claims. “They are not happy with me. I don’t enjoy having to speak out, but it’s historically what makes the department budge.”

Jemele Hill Joins The Atlantic As Staff Writer Covering “Intersection of Sports, Race, Politics, Gender and Culture”
Back in August, host Jemele Hill announced her departure from ESPN after nearly 12 years with the company, following a slew of controversies surrounding sports and politics.
Since then, Hill has signed on as a columnist for The Undefeated, and according to a new announcement, Hill will also be joining The Atlantic as a staff writer, focusing on “the intersection of sports, race, politics, gender, and culture.”

The magazine’s editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, announced the news on Monday morning in a tweet, in which Hill quickly confirmed.

“Jemele is a wonderfully talented journalist who is famous for her acute commentary, fearless writing and encyclopedic knowledge of sports, Goldberg continued in a statement. “But what drew us to Jemele, in particular, is her deep commitment to reporting.”
In turn, Hill said the new move “made perfect sense,” as she will use her new opportunity to discuss the crossroads of race, sports, and politics, just months after facing criticisms for drawing the same comparisons at ESPN.

“You can’t talk about sports without talking about race, class, gender, and politics,” she said in a statement. “I want to explore the complications and discomforts with a publication that has a long history of supporting this kind of work.

Louis CK Performs At Comedy Cellar Again, to the Anger of Many!
Louis C.K. performed a set at New York City’s Comedy Cellar again this weekend and apparently still won’t address his sexual misconduct.

The disgraced comedian popped into the club for a surprise set on Sunday night for the second time since last fall, when he admitted to sexual misconduct. Two people at the show spoke about it.

“When [Louis C.K.] got up he expressed gratitude for the cellar/audience having him, and that he knows not everybody is happy about him performing,” James Richards wrote in an email, adding that the comedian never specifically apologized or addressed his sexual misconduct against a number of female comedians.

Another person at the show, who asked to remain anonymous because the individual did not want attention, corroborated that account, saying that Louis C.K. “made a joke about how it wasn’t ‘unanimous’ that people were excited to see him.”

“He talked about how he took a ‘really long break’ and was coming back now, but beyond those two mentions, didn’t really acknowledge his past / the allegations,” wrote the audience member via email.
The 51-year-old comedian appeared at the club in August for his first public set since his admission, launching a widespread conversation about redemption in the age of Me Too and what people expect from him now. Despite the many reports and think-pieces, it seems he has not learned much since that performance.

As for his latest set, there have been conflicting reports about whether anyone walked out. Page Six reported that two women walked out, but Richards said that as far as he knew, “nobody left

Comedy Cellar owner Noam Dworman said last month that the club would “institute a new policy” allowing any audience members who weren’t pleased with a comedian onstage to leave without having to pay their checks.

“Essentially, swim at your own risk. We don’t know who may pop in that’s not on the lineup. If someone does come in that you don’t want to see, you are free to leave, no questions asked, and check completely on the house,” he said at the time. “Having said that, we don’t expect Louis back anytime soon.”
Richards said that Louis C.K. seemed “very nervous at first” and that his jokes included quips about “his kids, his physical health, a story of watching a professional ice skater dying during an act” and “a surreal and wacky bit about a freaky Friday scenario.”

The other audience member said one of the jokes about his 9-year-old daughter “made people uncomfortable.”
“There were a few jokes that I thought made people uncomfortable mainly because of the context,” the person said.

“One was a joke about taking his 9 year old daughter to Old Navy and seeing that they have boyfriend shirts for 9 year old girls, and then graphically describing, ‘Oh, is my 9 year old supposed to be f-ing her boyfriend all night and taking his shirt?’ and another was about how much he liked ‘his doctor touching him.’ He had a Freudian slip, saying ‘I love it when my father touches me’ (instead of doctor).”

That audience member said that despite the laughter and applause Louis C.K. received, others there said the set made them feel “some discomfort because of his past and how some of his jokes kind of [came close to] the line.”
“I talked to a few women sitting near me afterwards, and they described a similar sense of tenuous discomfort, like, ‘Is it OK to laugh at this?’ especially some of the edgier jokes.”

To that, we have to say we’re still not sure.
