#RHoA: SAY WHAT? Report: Kim Zolciak Salary $1.5 Million For Next Don’t Be Tardy Season; Brielle Biermann Earning Nearly $200,000
After the very controversial end to the last Real Housewives of Atlanta season, Kim Zolciak was in some hot water, and that’s really putting it mildly. It all came to a close with some racially insensitive comments during the final reunion episode and many people accused Kim of being racist. Obviously she’s not returning to that show any time soon, let alone ever, but at least she has another show on Bravo.

Not only that, but Kim reportedly ended up with a raise for Don’t Be Tardy Season 7. That is definitely not something that would happen to most people in the wake of scandal, but it’s Kim world. We are all just living in it- or watching it.
After threatening to leave Don’t Be Tardy in response to the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion backlash, Kim returned to filming her family’s show. This really isn’t a surprise, but apparently Bravo wanted Kim and the Biermanns back so badly that she got a major raise. According to an article from Celebrity Insider, Kim is earning $1.5 million for Season 7 of Don’t Be Tardy.

Kim’s oldest child Brielle Biermann also got a pay raise, bringing her reported salary near $200,000 a season. It’s going to be so easy for many people to hate on this, but if you could make that much money from hanging out with your family and just doing what you normally do devoid of drama, who wouldn’t take on the opportunity?

So what do You Think About Kim & Brielle’s Reported Salaries?

#NewMusic Amerie Returns With Surprise Double Album “4AM Mulholland” & “After 4AM”
Amerie now returns with a new surprise double album called “4 AM Mulholland” and “After 4 AM”. She stated that the album was recorded while pregnant with her first child, who she gave birth to earlier this year.

LISTEN AND STREAM HERE

Although Amerie has always been known for her loud and unique style, the vibe of the project represents another progression in her sound, similar to what we heard on her single “Redrum” and her “Guatamala” Swae Lee remix.

Though she did release the new EP “Drive” back in 2016, it was pretty evident those songs were leftovers from years earlier.

Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will NOT seek official royal role for baby
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s will not seek an official royal role for their baby and are planning to follow in the footsteps of Princess Anne, who raised her children Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips, without royal titles.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex want their first child to have a “relatively normal life” according to a source close to the royal couple.

The unnamed source told The Sunday Times said: “That word ‘normal’ looms very large for Harry and Meghan when it comes to their child’s future.”
Harry and Meghan's child will be seventh-in-line to the throne and if a boy is due to inherit the title - Earl of Dumbarton, one of the titles the Queen bestowed to Harry on his wedding day in May.

However, if the royals have a daughter, she could be called Lady Mountbatten-Windsor, and any subsequent sons would be named Lord Mounbatten-Windsor.
But it appears the couple have decided to shirk the titles and want to protect their child from the intense media attention following in the footsteps of Harry's aunt - Princess Anne.

The source added, Meghan and Harry favour the “Zara and Peter Phillips route” which the Princess Royal adopted.
Princess Anne, the Queen's only daughter, turned down royal titles for her two children who have lived relatively independent lives and have gone on to have their own careers.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's plans to keep their child out of the royal limelight also coincides with Prince Charles' vision for a slimmed-down monarchy in the future focused on the direct line to the throne of himself, William and his children.

Harry, 34 has previously discussed the “tricky balancing act” he faced growing up as young royal.
Prince Harry's wish to shield his child from public scrutiny comes from his own personal experiences following the death of his mother, Princess Diana in 1997.

Harry said: “I didn’t want to be in the position I was in.” Meghan, 37, is believed to be nearly four months pregnant and is expected to give birth in April.

The Duke and Duchess are currently in Australia on their first royal tour as a married couple.

#BOXOFFICENEWS: Halloween SCARES the Box Office with a Total take of $77,500,000.00!
With a staggering, $77.5 million debut, Universal and Blumhouse's Halloween topped the weekend with the second largest October opening weekend of all-time. The horror film headlined a massive weekend overall weekend, that saw the top twelve combine for over $160 million, making this the second largest October weekend ever.

As already mentioned, Halloween's $77.5 million three-day debut was the second largest October opening weekend of all-time, coming less than $3 million shy of the record set by Venom earlier this month. That said, Halloween did deliver the largest October opening day of all-time, topping Venom's $32.5 million. The film's opening is also the second largest ever for an R-rated horror, topping the $53.8 million opening for The Nun a month ago and behind It's $123.4 million debut last September.

The film, which carries a tiny, $10 million production budget, features Jamie Lee Curtis in her iconic role of Laurie Strode and beyond landing well with critics in advance of release, it was equally successful with audiences, earning a "B+" CinemaScore, which is a strong grade for a horror film. Overall, it played to a crowd that was 53% male and 59% were age 25 or older, The film should play well over the coming weeks, especially with its namesake holiday just around the corner.

Internationally, Halloween brought in an estimated $14.3 million from 23 markets, with Mexico leading the way with a chart-topping $4.9 million opening followed by the U.K. & Ireland ($3.6m), Russia ($1.79m) and Indonesia ($1.09m). The film still has 46 markets yet to open in including France next weekend followed by Australia, Brazil, Italy, Germany and Spain the following weekend and South Korea on October 31.

Finishing in the runner-up position is A Star is Born, which continues to climb the list of films that never hit #1 at the weekend box office. This weekend the film added an estimated $19.3 million to its domestic total, which now stands at $126.4 million as it enters its third week in release

Netflix Pulls The Plug On ‘Luke Cage’
According to reports, News of the cancellation comes four months after the superhero action drama from Marvel Television debuted its second season on the streaming service — and just days after Netflix pulled the plug on another Marvel show, “Iron Fist.”

“Unfortunately, ‘Marvel’s Luke Cage’ will not return for a third season. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series,” Netflix and Marvel Television said in a joint statement.

A source tells Variety that talks for a third season had taken place, but that Netflix ultimately decided that one would not be feasible.

With the move, Netflix severs further ties with Marvel as the producer prepares to shift gears toward providing content for parent company Disney’s yet to launch streaming services. Disney has already indicated that it will allow its licensing deals with Marvel to expire so that library content can be moved to Disney-owned services. That decision would not have any affect on series such as “Luke Cage,” which are produced by Disney for Netflix.

Rihanna and Pink turn down Super Bowl halftime gig!
As NFL players kneel, Rihanna has reportedly taken a stand.

The pop superstar passed on an opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl as a show of solidarity with Colin Kaepernick and NFL players who have been protesting racial inequality and police violence against minorities by kneeling during the national anthem, a source told Entertainment Tonight.
"Rihanna was the front-runner for next year’s Super Bowl halftime show," the source said. "CBS and the NFL reached out to Rihanna first, who after thinking about the offer, decided to pass due to the NFL and the situation regarding players kneeling."

"The offer and exposure would have been great for Rihanna as she's planning a new album and tour but she stuck to what's right in her eyes," the source added.
The "Umbrella" singer wasn't the only star who reportedly passed on the gig, which is watched annually by more than 100 million people.

Pink, who sang the national anthem before Super Bowl LII in February, also turned it down, Entertainment Tonight reported. Her decision reportedly came after negotiations dragging on too long and was not related to the player protests.

A Philly songwriter wins $44 million in a lawsuit Over Uncredited 2004 Usher Song
A Philadelphia songwriter who claims he was not given credit for writing one of R&B star Usher's hit songs has been awarded more than $40 million in damages in the conclusion of a lawsuit targeted at the track's other two co-writers.

Daniel Marino was awarded the sum in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court last week, when a jury issued a verdict ordering defendant William Guice to pay $6.75 million in compensatory damages and $20.25 million in punitive damages.

The verdict joined a settlement earlier last week in which Destro Music Productions, owned by codefendant Dante Barton, agreed to pay Marino $17.35 million as part of a stipulated judgment, bringing his total award to $44.35 million. Marino also received a third of the ownership rights to the song in question, a transcription of court proceedings in the settlement indicated. Guice, Barton, and Destro were represented by attorney Jason C. Berger of Margolis Edelstein

The Legal Intelligencer reported that a pretrial memo noted "that the defendants did not have any insurance policies that would cover an award in the case."
According to a civil complaint, between 2001 and 2002, Marino worked with Guice and Barton to create and record "Club Girl," a song that would later be recorded and released by Usher on his 2004 album, Confessions, retitled as "Bad Girl." Marino, who was represented by Francis Alexander attorney Francis Malofiy, said via the complaint that he created a majority of the song, including its guitar hook, tempo, chord progression, and other elements, while Barton and Guice added a beat and lyrics, respectively.

The trio reportedly had a contract to split credit and compensation for their songs, but it was allegedly not honored after an employee of Usher's contacted the group about the track. The complaint indicates that Guice, Barton, and Destro signed "secret contracts" with Usher's camp, cutting Marino out of profits and credit. The songwriter also alleged that the co-defendants earned roughly $700,000 from "Club Girl."
The complaint says Barton "explicitly acknowledged that Marino was owed money" until 2009, after which he "mysteriously disappeared." Guice, meanwhile, left Pennsylvania "to parts unknown." After losing touch with his former co-writers, Marino began to believe "his friends had tricked him and stolen his credit and compensation."

In 2011, Marino filed a federal lawsuit against 20 defendants, including Guice, Barton, and Usher, alleging fraud, breach of contract, and other claims. A federal judge dismissed the case against every defendant except Guice and Barton, court records indicate. Marino filed his most recent suit in 2016.

The $44 million award comes following a new trial for Led Zeppelin in the "Stairway to Heaven" legal saga, in which the group is accused of copying a 1960s instrumental track by Spirit called "Taurus" for the hit song. Malofiy represents Spirit in that case, began in 2015.

Marino's $27 million verdict was decided on Oct. 11, the day President Trump signed the Music Modernization Act, which deals with copyright-related recording issues. The ruling and settlement also coincided with the release of Usher's latest album, A, which came out last week.

"For seven years, against all odds, we believed in our client and his claims," Malofiy said of the case via a release. "The $44.35 million verdict and judgment finally vindicates Mr. Marino."

Belgium's First Black Mayor Is a Congolese Immigrant
Pierre Kompany, who came to Belgium from the DRC as a refugee in 1975, was elected mayor of a Brussels borough this week.
Pierre Kompany, a Congolese immigrant and father of professional football players Vincent and Francois Kompany, has been elected mayor of the Ganshoren borough in Brussels, BBC reports.

This is a history-making moment, as this victory makes Kompany Belgium's first black mayor.
Kompany came to Belgium from the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1975 as a refugee and first became involved in politics in 2006 as a councillor; then as Brussels regional parliamentarian in 2014.

For him, this feat shows Belgium has taken more steps to integrate a community of people who've been systematically oppressed, exploited and nearly wiped out, says The New York Times. Belgium was one of the harshest colonial powers that especially wreaked havoc in the Congo.

"My success, my election, shows the direction of the march of history, which is towards a more peaceful history," Kompany continues. "I think one has to regard this as a victory for humanity as a whole."

Kompany's sons took to Instagram to congratulate him. "It was long overdue, but it's progress," they say.
Ganshoren is a predominantly white community that Kompany has served as city councillor for 12 years. He ran his election promising locals to help the elderly, expand child care accessibility and improve soccer fields.
