#RHoA: Well Look Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams Rekindle Their Friendship!
Singer and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burruss recently spilled the tea on her and Porsha Williams’ rekindled friendship.

Burruss and Williams were beefing on seasons 9 & 10 on ‘RHOA’, but the ladies seemed to be back on good terms. They were recently spotted out together in Miami along with their other cast-mates for the taping of season 11 and the opening of NeNe Leakes’ boutique.

Fans also noticed that Burruss started following Williams back on Instagram during the reality stars’ trip to Florida.

The mother of two also posted a few clips of her Bravo television talk show “Kandi Koated Nights” on Instagram and in the caption she wrote, “I guess it’s ok for me to post you since we’re cool again after this weekend…πŸ˜‚,” and tagged Williams in her post.
Burruss appeared on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” on July 1 and a viewer asked about her standing with Williams. She explained, “It was a long journey and I didn’t think we were going to come back. You know what? It’s so weird because last year, I really wasn’t trying to have drama with her.”

Burruss continued, “It was like everybody else kept bringing things up which continued the tension between she and I. For me, I just didn’t want it to just be about us anymore. I’m sick of the drama or whatever is wrong with the group to be because of she and I. Like, have your own issues with her. Don’t make it because of me.”

The two reality stars became enemies after a tumultuous rumor spread that Burruss allegedly planned to rape and drug Williams in her alleged “sex dungeon.” The gossip led to the firing of former attorney Phaedra Parks. However, fans are happy to see the ladies are friends again.

#Empire: Did Taraji P Henson secretly get married or NAH?
Are congratulations in order for the new couple in town?
After a very telling post on Taraji P Henson’s Instagram over the weekend where she is referring to Kelvin Hayden as her ‘#hubbybear,’ there is a very high chance the two secretly got married.

While there is no indication that the two had a wedding, there is speculation they could have eloped after Media Take Out reported that their sudden trip to Anguilla with close friends and family was a planned wedding trip.

This however, remains unconfirmed. Neither she nor Kelvin have posted photos to confirm they have tied the knot.
The Empire star has never spoken at length about her wedding following her engagement this year during Mother’s Day.
‘’It’s starting to get overwhelming and we’re thinking, we’re talking a year from now, and I know how fast that’s going to go, so it’s a lot. I’m trying to just enjoy being blissfully engaged for a minute.’’ She told Entertainment Tonight.
The 47-year-old beauty broke the engagement news via her social media where the two were holding hands with Kelvin,35, sitting in front of a dessert plate with the words ‘Congratulations’ written in chocolate.

The couple have been dating since 2015 but made it public in 2017.

#NewMusic from Lloyd Drops New Song “Caramel
R&B singer Lloyd returns with his brand new single “Caramel.” The singer/songwriter seduces over the slow-burner highlighted by Roger Troutman-style talkbox transmissions and sticky 808’s. Lloyd’s signature falsetto instantly captivates while he belts out the sexy hook.

“Caramel drippin’ in my bed / Yeah, you know what’s goin’ through my head,” he sings. “I’m thinkin’ ’bout leavin’ with you tonight / I’m thinkin’ ’bout wifin’ you up for life.”

Paving the way for more new music, “Caramel” precedes the release of his anxiously awaited fifth studio album Tru, the follow-up to his 2016 EP of the same name, due out August 31. Lloyd also revealed the artwork for the project, which finds him naked in the woods except for a strategically placed guitar covering his manhood.

#HipHopNews: Drake's "Scorpion" Hits #1 On Billboard 200 With a HUGE First Week Sales
Hot off his surprise performance at Wireless Fest, Drake’s Scorpion has made its first appearance on the Billboard 200, right at the top of the charts. Meanwhile, Cardi B climbs back up the chart, while Teyana Taylor takes a tumble.

Drake’s Scorpion has put him in a whole new category, as the first artist to reach a billion streams in one week. With a total of 732,171 equivalent album units moved (159,771 in pure album sales and a record-breaking streaming count of 745,923,606), the 25-track album was untouchable.

Scorpion has the honor of having the biggest debut of 2018, so far. And, with this latest #1, Drake is now tied with other pop stars for the sixth-most #1 albums in U.S. history. Kenny Chesney, Madonna, U2, Eminem, and Kanye West — who just collected his eighth chart-topping album — are similarly adorned.

BeyoncΓ© and Jay-Z Drive Around George Clooney’s Neighborhood During Break from Tour
Jay-Z may Run This Town, but Clooney runs the streets in Lake Como.

While on a break from the European leg of their “On the Run II” tour, Jay-Z and BeyoncΓ© hopped in a red vintage convertible and took a drive around CastaDiva resort in Lake Como, Italy. Queen Bey looked great in her chic hat and sunglasses, and Jay-Z definitely re-upped his coolness points since the unfortunate jet ski photo
The romantic, 18th-century hotel overlooks the town’s beautiful lake and is a stone’s throw from the estate of George and Amal Clooney.
Amal’s family is reportedly staying at the property — gotta take care of the in-laws — but George uses it as a summer home so maybe he’ll head over to hang with Jay and Bey and take a boat around the lake.

#ICYMI: ICON Janet Jackson Gives Touching Heartfelt Tribute to her Father Joe at Essence Fest!
Last week it was reported, The singer did NOT canceled her Essence gig despite the recent death of her father, Joe Jackson.

Janet Jackson cried as she returned to the stage for the first time since her father, Joe Jackson, died at the age of 89 after a battle with pancreatic cancer on June 27.
During her performance at the 2018 Essence Festival in New Orleans on Sunday, the 52-year-old singer shared an emotional tribute to her late father, admitting that she considered canceling the show.

“To be quite honest it was really hard for me. It’s always difficult when you lose a loved one. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know how to move forward, if I should cancel this festival or the entire tour,” she revealed to the crowd. “I talked to my brother and we started to speak about my father’s strength. He was very strong. Without his drive, his strength, we wouldn’t have this success. We’re a black family that came from Gary, Indiana, and we broke all kinds of records all over the globe. That’s truth.”
My father was a great man. My brother asked me, ‘If he was here listening to this conversation, what do you think he would say to you?’ And I think my father would have said, ‘Janet, please. Finish what you’ve started. And I will be there with you every step of the way in your heart.’ So here I am.”

“Without his drive, his strength, we wouldn’t have the success. We are a black family from Gary, Indiana and we broke records around the globe.” – @JanetJackson

DC Circuit Court Judge Brett Kavanaugh has been nominated to the US Supreme Court by Donald Trump
President Donald Trump has picked Brett Kavanaugh, a federal appeals court judge with extensive legal credentials and a lengthy political record, to succeed Justice Anthony M. Kennedy on the Supreme Court.
"Judge Kavanaugh has impeccable credentials," Trump said, shortly after announcing his choice Monday night. "Throughout legal circles, he is considered a true judge's judge."

Kavanaugh, 53, is an ideological conservative who is expected to push the court to the right on a number of issues including business regulation and national security. The favorite of White House Counsel Donald McGahn, Kavanaugh is also considered a safer pick than some of the more partisan choices who were on the president’s shortlist. Trump called him one of the "sharpest legal minds of our time."

"There is no one more qualified for this position, and no one more deserving," Trump said, calling for "robust bipartisan support" and a "swift" confirmation in the Senate.
In accepting his nomination Monday night, Kavanaugh praised Kennedy as well as his parents. HIs father was a lawyer, and his mother was a judge.

In his remarks, the Supreme Court nominee said he would rigorously interpret the Constitution as written. He called an independent judiciary "the crown jewel of our republic."

"A judge must interpret the law, not make the law," Kavanaugh added.
A graduate of Yale Law School who serves on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, Kavanaugh has the traditional trappings of a presidential nominee to the high court.

If confirmed, the appellate judge would become the second young, conservative jurist Trump has put on the top U.S. court during his first term. Kavanaugh's confirmation would give the president an even bigger role in shaping U.S. policy for decades to come. The potential to morph the federal judiciary led many conservatives to support Trump in 2016, and he has not disappointed so far with the confirmation of conservative Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and numerous federal judges.
Kavanaugh faces a tough confirmation fight in a narrowly divided Senate. He said he will start to meet with senators on Tuesday.
As Trump chose Kavanaugh, conservative interest groups announced big pockets of spending to boost his confirmation. The Judicial Crisis Network said it would put $1.4 million into ads in Alabama, Indiana, North Dakota and West Virginia — red states represented by Democratic Sens. Doug Jones, Joe Donnelly, Heidi Heitkamp and Joe Manchin, respectively. All of those lawmakers but Jones face re-election this year in states Trump won handily in 2016.

Americans for Prosperity, an interest group backed by the billionaire Koch Brothers, also said it would launch a seven-figure ad buy in several states Trump carried which have Democratic senators up for re-election this year. Those include states in which the president won big such as Indiana, North Dakota, West Virginia, Missouri and Montana, as well as areas he won more narrowly such as Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.

At times, Kavanaugh has diverged from the Republican party’s ideological line on important cases that have come before him, including on the Affordable Care Act, the 2010 health care law which Kavanaugh has declined to strike down on a number of occasions in which it has come before him.

Anti-abortion groups quietly lobbied against Kavanaugh, pushing instead for another jurist on Trump’s shortlist, 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Amy Coney Barrett, ABC News reported in the run-up to Trump’s announcement.
Kavanaugh received his current appointment in 2006 after five years in the George W. Bush administration, where he served in a number of roles including staff secretary to the president. He has been criticized for his attachment to Bush, as well as his involvement in a number of high-profile legal cases.

For instance, Kavanaugh led the investigation into the death of Bill Clinton’s Deputy White House Counsel Vince Foster, and assisted in Kenneth Starr’s 1998 report outlining the case for Clinton’s impeachment.
Democrats criticized Kavanaugh’s political roles during his 2006 confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“Your experience has been most notable, not so much for your blue chip credentials, but for the undeniably political nature of so many of your assignments,” Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said at the time.
“From the notorious Starr report, to the Florida recount, to the President’s secrecy and privilege claims, to post-9/11 legislative battles including the Victims Compensation Fund, to ideological judicial nomination fights, if there has been a partisan political fight that needed a very bright legal foot soldier in the last decade, Brett Kavanaugh was probably there,” Schumer said.

Kavanaugh's work on the Starr report has been scrutinized by Republicans who have said it could pose trouble for the president as he negotiates with special counsel Robert Mueller over the terms of a possible interview related to Mueller's Russia probe. The 1998 document found that Clinton's multiple refusals to testify to a grand jury in connection with Starr's investigation were grounds for impeachment.
In later years, Kavanaugh said that Clinton should not have had to face down an investigation during his presidency. He has said the indictment of a president would not serve the public interest.

Like Trump's first nominee to the Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch, Kavanaugh clerked for Kennedy. If he is confirmed, it will mark the first time ever that a current or former Supreme Court justice has two former clerks become justices, according to an article by Adam Feldman, who writes a blog about the Supreme Court.

Kavanaugh teaches courses on the separation of powers, the Supreme Court, and national security at Harvard Law School and Yale Law School, and does charitable work at St. Maria’s Meals program at Catholic Charities in Washington, D.C., according to his official biography.

Jamie Foxx Won’t Face Charges For Alleged Penis Slap!
Last month it was reported, A woman in Las Vegas  filed a police report claiming Jamie Foxx slapped her in the face with his penis during a house party back in 2002.
The woman claims Jamie asked her for oral sex and when she refused he slapped his peen across her face.
The Las Vegas police department says the case is closed, according to TMZ.

According to the site,  Las Vegas PD tells us … Foxx is in the clear — at least criminally — because the statute of limitations of 3 years has long since run. The case was previously listed as an open investigation. As for a civil suit … nope — the statute of limitations has also run.

The woman had accused Foxx of assaulting her 16 years ago at a party at his place, when he tried to get her to perform oral sex on him. She claims she refused … so he slapped her in the face with his penis.

Foxx emphatically denied the allegations and called them an “absurd” lie … while also threatening legal action of his own.

Harvey Weinstein Goes Limp On His Way to Court, Pleads Not Guilty to Additional Charges
Harvey Weinstein shuffled his way into court Monday morning as he faced an additional slew of sexual assault charges that could land him in prison for life.

The disgraced producer walked with a noticeable limp as he made his way into the Manhattan courthouse. During his appearance, Weinstein plead not guilty to the additional charge of a forced sexual act, as well as two other counts of predatory sexual assault.

He appeared much thinner than in the past, and it’s unclear how he may have injured himself.
Weinstein was handcuffed when he was brought into the courtroom, and aside from speaking with his attorney, he did not make any statements.

With the additional charges against him, Weinstein is now facing life in prison if convicted of the multitude of sex crimes.

In response to Monday’s hearing, Weinstein’s attorney said “We are very pleased that the court did not change the existing bail conditions that Mr. Weinstein has scrupulously abided by,” adding that “The case has not grown stronger for the prosecution. Indeed, since his arrest in May, his defense has grown substantially stronger as we have found overwhelming corroboration well beyond Mr. Weinstein’s assertions that support his claim that all sexual encounters were consensual and that he did not rape anyone.”

Khloe Kardashian Checks A Woman For Saying her Baby True Is ‘Not Cute At All’
Khloe Kardashian G-checked a woman on Twitter who had the unmitigated gall to say her baby girl, True Thompson, was “not cute at all” and tagged her in the post.

The woman, who goes by “Sam,” tweeted:
Is it just me or is @khloekardashian baby, True, not cute at all? 😬
Khloe was completely outdone when she responded:

What self-respecting adult would even comment on a child’s appearance? What type of disgusting human being are you? It’s pathetic that you are this miserable in your life.
She went on to tell her fans: She’s a loser for that. No respect for people like that. People are entitled to their own opinions and feelings but why on earth would you tweet that and if you must why would you tag me?

‘Power’ Season 5 Debut Viewership Explodes On Starz App; Stays steady on TV!
The July 1 airing of the Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson starring Starz drama snagged 1.55 million viewers and a 0.6 rating among adults 18-49. That’s steady in total sets of eyeballs with a dip of just 8% from the Season 4 opener of June 25 last year. Tied with baseball on ESPN for the top key demo spot of last Sunday, the Jackson, Omari Hardwick, Naturi Naughton, Lela Loren and Joseph Sikora led NYC tale took a 25% hit among the 18-49s from its 2017 debut.

Overall and all Power plays, viewership for Starz on July 1 was up 5% from the Season 4 premiere to 2.8 million. However, steady or down, those numbers might actually not be that big a deal to the Lionsgate-owned premium cabler this time round.

Power EP Kemp predicted last year that in 2018 the show’s “linear numbers will no longer be relevant” – and looks like she may be right on the money, or at least the button.

In a true script flipper, the Starz App had 2.8 million streams of the Stefan Schwartz directed “Everyone Is Implicated” episode, we’ve learned.

Even with the total viewership for the night for the Chris Albrecht run outlet and ahead of 2.1 million that the S5 opener delivered in Live + 3, which is a 41% life from Live + Same Day, the App is clearly where Power fans have gone to look for the Ghost, to make an in-joke about the drug business and family saga.

Making the Season 5 opener available to subscribers at midnight on July 1 AKA eight hours before it was shown on television, the Starz App saw a massive surge of 115% over streams of the Season 4 debut. That’s a premiere high for the app and a payoff in Starz’s investment in its own future from one of its already most watched shows that can’t be ignored It is also a warning sign to the competition on cable and more, especially after the tongue lashing that Warner Media exec John Stankley gave HBO staff at a town hall late last month after the AT&T acquisition was complete.

Robin Wright breaks silence on Kevin Spacey scandal: 'I didn't know the man, I was taken aback'
“House of Cards” star Robin Wright is opening up for the first time about the downfall of her co-star Kevin Spacey, which came after Spacey was accused of sexual assault by one man who claimed the actor made an advance on him when he 14 and Spacey was 26. Several other men have since come forward and accused Spacey of sexual misconduct, and Wright now says she hardly knew her longtime co-star.

The actress spoke out on the “Today” show in a pre-taped interview that aired Monday.
She said she has had no contact with her former co-star.  “I haven’t heard from him and I don’t even know how to reach him," she said.

“Kevin and I knew each other between action and cut, and in between setups where we would giggle,” she added. “I didn’t really– I didn’t know the man. I knew the incredible craftsman that he is.”
She added, “We were co-workers, really. We never socialized outside of work. [We had a] respectful, professional relationship. He was so great with me. He was never disrespectful to me, so that’s my personal experience. That’s the only thing I feel that I have the right to talk about.”

She said when the allegations surfaced, she was taken aback.  Following the allegations against Spacey, in October 2017, Netflix announced the show’s upcoming sixth season would be its last and Spacey was fired from the show.
"I think we were all surprised, of course, and ultimately saddened. We forged ahead and we were so thankful that we were able to complete the series as planned," Wright said.

Wright said she understands Netflix's decision to shut down the show.
"...I think at that time, the shock was so intense all over the nation for many reasons, many stories, many people. I think that everybody felt that it was respectful to back off."

“House of Cards” premiered on Netflix in February 2013 and was a hit for the streaming service. The eight-episode sixth season does not yet have a set premiere date but is expected to hit Netflix later this year.

#THAILANDCAVERESCUE: 8 boys now free from cave after heroic rescuers pulled them through to safety!
4 more boys have been rescued from a flooded cave in Chiang Rai.
Sunday’s rescue brings the total to 8 boys now freed from the cave deep below the Doi Nang Non mountain range in northern Thailand.

The 12 soccer team members, ages 11 to 16, and their 25-year-old coach were trapped in the flooded cave deep below the Doi Nang Non mountain range in northern Thailand on June 23.
Sunday’s rescue operation took a total of 9 hours. The journey from the small chamber where the boys were trapped to the mouth of the cave took 3 hours.

Thai Royal Navy SEAl divers literally pulled the boys through the cave because the children can’t swim.
Officials say the multinational rescue operation has been suspended for today, so oxygen tanks can be replenished along the network of caverns and tunnels.

The operation went “smoothly” according to Chiang Rai acting Gov. Narongsak Osatanakorn.
The 4 boys were weaker than the first four who were rescued on Saturday. All 8 boys are recovering in a Chiang Rai hospital.

The boys and their coach were exploring Tham Luang cave in Khun Nam Nang National Park as part of an initiation ritual after soccer practice. The boys ran about 2 miles into the cave and scrawled their names on a wall.
But torrential rain from a monsoon quickly flooded the entrance to the cave, blocking their escape and forcing them deeper into the cave in search of higher ground.

The boys’ bicycles were spotted by a park employee after the park closed for the evening on June 23. The employee alerted the authorities who launched a massive search for the missing group.
The rescue team includes 5 Thai Royal Navy SEAL and 13 divers from other countries including Great Britain and the U.S. A total of 90 divers are involved in the operation.

Queen Latifah Celebrates with Hip-Hop Legends at Essence Festival!
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Iconic females in the music industry shined at the Essence Festival, where Queen Latifah used her debut performance to celebrate “Ladies First” and her 30 years in the trenches.

Latifah was one of the headliners on the festival’s main stage Saturday and was joined — to the delight of the crowd — by hip-hop legends MC Lyte, Yo-Yo, Salt-N-Pepa, Missy Elliott and Monie Love as well as rapper Remy Ma and R&B singer Brandy. She also entertained the audience with her vocal skills, showcasing her love of jazz with a rendition of Phoebe Snow’s “Poetry Man,” which she dedicated to her mother, who died this year of a heart condition.

In an interview with The Associated Press, British singer-songwriter Marsha Ambrosius said she looks forward to performing at the festival every year especially since she gets to experience what she described as a “surreal” lineup.
“The lineup is one long weekend of legends, icons and my heroes. … It’s an honor and a humbling experience to be able to set foot on stage with people I’ve looked up to my whole life,” said Ambrosius, who’s performed more than a half-dozen times at the festival.

During her set inside one of the event’s Superlounges — intimate club-like spaces set up in the Superdome’s cavernous halls — Ambrosius gave the audience a taste of her hits “Far Away” and “Late Nights & Early Mornings” as well as songs from her new album, “Nyla,” named after her 1-year-old daughter and scheduled for release in September.

“As women, we bury our secrets so deep down, you’d never know what affects us. And, on this album, I decided to not only let them all go, but let them be seen. I’m okay with the scars that I wear. And, I don’t think too many are, and that’s why we can dig ourselves a deep hole of depression when we don’t have to. My music is my therapy,” Ambrosius said of the upcoming project.

“It’s been an incredible journey just getting to know myself and where I am in the world. It’s retrospective, introspective, and I’m dropping gems for those that didn’t have them when they should have. Like, I wish I had me, kicking me in the behind saying, ‘Just go for it. Just go for your dreams, standing in your own truth. And, if someone despises you for that, then that’s on them. It’s not on you.”
The festival closed Sunday with a much-anticipated performance by megastar Janet Jackson, who touched the lives of four single mothers from New Orleans with a surprise Mother’s Day gift that culminates this weekend. The women are to receive makeovers from Jackson’s personal make-up artist, Preston Meneses, and tickets to her performance.

Others that performed Sunday include Fantasia and a New Jack Swing reunion featuring Teddy Riley, SWV, Blackstreet and Guy.

Cowboys CB arrested for pulling gun in road-rage incident
If Jerry Jones was hoping his Cowboys could avoid controversy heading into this season, that dream already has been extinguished.
Dallas cornerback Marquez White is staring down a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a road-rage incident in October.

Though the alleged encounter took place last fall, White was not taken into custody until June 15, when he turned himself in to police upon learning there was a warrant for his arrest, according to a statement the former sixth-round draft pick provided to his hometown newspaper.
White, 23, claims he was being followed by “an aggressive driver” who pulled up alongside him and yelled racial slurs “such as the ‘N’ word while also threatening to kill me.”

White said he saw the other driver reach toward his glove compartment, at which time White brandished his weapon. The driver then followed White to his house and called the authorities.

“When the police got there, I came downstairs on my own and gave them my side of the story,” White said.
The gun, which White’s defense attorney says his client owns legally, was confiscated by police that night, and White currently is free on a $7,500 bond, according to jail records.
White was adamant in his statement that the charge is baseless, claiming it was a personal attack and, strangely, an attack on his franchise.
“Me and my legal team believe strongly that this [is] a personal attack on my image as well as the Star,” White said.

The “Star” is a reference to the Cowboys logo, a bit of promotion his team owner probably could have done without. After all, Jones runs a clean shop out in Arlington
