#RHoA: NeNe Leakes getting a spinoff with her ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ return?

NeNe Leakes has been in talks with Bravo for months about returning to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” the show that made her a household name and a Hollywood superstar. And while Leakes has been shy about revealing details about her imminent return to the reality powerhouse, news reports have revealed that Leakes might also be working on getting her own solo show with the network.

Earlier this month, Lovebscott.com reported in the wake of Phaedra Parks‘ alleged firing from “RHOA” that both Leakes and fellow “RHOA” original Kim Zolciak will be returning for season 10 of the show as part-time cast members.

Sources have said that Bravo has been working hard to convince Leakes to return to the show, which she departed from in season 8 after cutting down her role on the show to just part-time. Leakes completely left the show in season 9 after enduring several major fallouts with her cast mates and she claimed she wanted to focus on her other businesses and Hollywood endeavors.

Well, it looks like Bravo producers have offered Leakes a deal that she can’t refuse and that includes a pretty big paycheck as Leakes recently claimed that there’s no way Zolciak would get paid more than her if they both returned. However, what’s perhaps even better than the “RHOA” paycheck is the prospect of getting a separate paycheck for Leakes’ own show.

Sources say that Bravo decided to sweeten the deal for Leakes’ return by working with her on a spinoff a la Zolciak’s “Don’t Be Tardy” series.

Previously, Leakes had her own mini-spinoff “I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding,” which focused on the weeks leading up to her getting re-married to her longtime husband, Gregg Leakes. However, we assume that a new spin-off would be more expansive and focus on Leakes’ life and career as a whole.

Empire got a taste of Wisteria Lane on Wednesday with the addition of Eva Longoria. Kicking off the first of a three-episode arc, the Desperate Housewives grad made her debut as Charlotte Frost, a powerful gaming commissioner from Las Vegas whom Lucious (Terrence Howard) must woo in order to break in to the Sin City market he thinks will be the next big ticket for his company.

While her appearance in Wednesday's episode was brief to say the least, Longoria will return to cool things down in the final two episodes of the hip-hop drama's third season.

Although Empire and Desperate Housewives are both shows known for their jaw-dropping soap opera-esque twists and turns, Charlotte Frost is a far cry from both Gaby Solis and the more comedic roles Longoria has been frequenting as of late.

Behind the scenes, the arc is one of two projects Longoria has at Fox and studio 20th Century Fox, the other being her half-hour comedy pilot Type-A in which Longoria, again, plays against type as an ambitious and brutally honest consultant at war with her inner nice girl.

#NEWMUSIC: Pleasure P – Love You Little

It’s well past Valentine’s Day, but R&B crooner Pleasure P has released a brand new tune that continues the romantic vibes into the spring time.

Titled, “Love You Little,” the piano-laced ballad features the singer/songwriter penning a love letter dedicated to the woman he wants to spend his life with, but almost lost.

Promising to give her more than in the past, Pleasure admits he wasn’t giving her everything before, but he’s realized she deserves every ounce of his heart.

“This time I’ll make it last / Before I didn’t know what I had / But now, I’ma love ya ’til the end / Even more than a best friend / I’ma hold you down ’til the very end,” he sings.

We haven’t received any word if P is planning to release a new solo project soon, but he is currently working again with his Pretty Ricky brothers on their comeback album, which is expected to be released this year. In February, they reunited on stage together at the inaugural Soulquarius Festival.

#HIPHOPNEWS: Lil Wayne Says ‘Tha Carter V’ Is ‘Coming Soon’

Is Lil Wayne’s Carter V finally ready to drop?

The long-awaited album, which has been the source of speculation and rumors for years now, is on the way, according to Weezy.

During a recent “Kloser 2 U Tour” stop in Dallas, the Young Money boss made it known: “CV coming soon,” he said. “Fuck Cash Money. It’s the Roc.”

C5 has been teased several times since 2012, but it’s also been the subject of controversy. In fact, it’s currently entangled in a $51 million lawsuit that Wayne filed against his label, Cash Money.

Even as all of this has been happening, Wayne teased C5 in a Facebook post back in January. This came after pharma-mogul Martin Shkreli claimed he bought the album and previewed a snippet online in December.

Aside from Carter V, Wayne has also been promoting Funeral, Dedication 6, and other projects this year, though all seem to be tied up in his ongoing legal battle with Cash Money.

Mixed messages have also confused fans. In the midst of this, Birdman said that the album is “definitely coming out” back in January. “The situation with me and my son, I’m going to put it all behind us and just let it move forward,” he said. “Wayne is one of the best artists ever to do the game, and I want to see him continue to do what he been doing, and I’m going to support whatever he’s doing. But you’re definitely going to get that C5.”

But Wayne has shown frustration with his longtime home. His most recent “Fuck Cash Money” statement is just the latest verbal takedown of the label, which he’s helped build since his teenage years. Not only has he distanced himself from the imprint, but he has also aligned himself with Jay Z’s Roc Nation, even if it isn’t an official partnership.

Last week, Tunechi addressed his relationship with Hov. “Jay is just a good guy. It was nothing but a simple thing,” he told Skip Bayless. “Friend to friend, I just want to help you. Simply. That’s all it was. I just want to help you, man, in any way I can. Right now, he’s just gonna help me in any way he can.”

Wayne is set to continue his “Kloser 2 U Tour,” which has also been at the center of controversy. Recently, Weezy ended a show after a fan threw a drink onstage. After calling his “goon squad,” Tunechi walked out. 

Zayn Malilk Wheelchair Update: Rep Says He's 'Fine'

You may have noticed Zayn Malik got himself a new set of wheels…

The 24-year-old former One Direction singer is wheelchair bound after suffering an injury to his foot.

“Zayn injured his foot but is fine,” his rep told People of the injury.

No other details are known about what happened, but Zayn is sporting a bandaged foot. He was seen arriving at girlfriend Gigi Hadid‘s apartment in the wheelchair on Saturday (April 29).

The singer and husband Russell Wilson, who married in July 2016, welcomed Sienna Princess Wilson on Friday, April 28, according to the couple’s matching Instagram posts. Their bouncing baby girl weighed in at 7 lbs., 13 oz.

Ciara and Wilson both posted a touching photo dedicated to Sienna announcing the birth, writing, “Dear Sienna Princess Wilson, No matter how big the wave, we will always be your calm in the storm. We Love You. Love, Mommy & Daddy.”

Sienna is the first child for the Seattle Seahawks quarterback. Ciara, 31, is also mom to 2-year-old son Future Zahir, from a previous relationship with rapper Future.

According to Bossip, Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams, the Thelma and Louise of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, are no more.

The rumors of the broken friendship come amid reports that Porsha is set to expose her BFF Phaedra as the one who told her that Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker were planning on drugging her and dragging her to their "sex dungeon."

This is all set to come to light in the third part of the RHOA reunion.

In a clip for the episode, she said, "She's the one who told me that Kandi said that."

Adding fuel to the fire, one of Porsha's latest Instagram posts leaves many believing she and Phaedra pulled the plug on their friendship as the term "no fake friends" is featured in the post.

#EMPIRE: Does Cookie Marry Angelo On 'Empire'?

For reasons I will never understand, other than to further the drama on Empire, Cookie always seems to find her way back to Lucious. No matter what terrible thing he’s done that week or how many lives he’s destroyed, there’s always that soft spot in her heart. So does Cookie marry Angelo on Empire, or will her love for Lucious ruin her chance at a normal romantic life and happiness?

Since this is Empire, I’m going to go with the latter and assume that because of a big dramatic show of his love for Cookie, whatever wedding or even engagement with Angelo that Cookie has will be short-lived. In the promo for Episode 14, it’s pretty obvious that Angelo is proposing to her and in a previous promo for the second half of Season 3, at one point you could hear his mother saying, “I will not rest until I see the Lyons groveling in the dirt.”

Could this be because Cookie’s love and history with Lucious overpowers whatever she has with Angelo, thus breaking his heart? If that’s the case, you have to assume that a simple breakup wouldn’t lead Angelo’s mom to such extremes. An extremely fancy wedding with all of the political bigwigs and a runaway bride who chooses her Lyon over the good guy, on the other hand? That would do it.

Then again, Cookie has already cheated on Angelo with Lucious (after that Beyoncé-inspired baseball bat walk around Empire Studios) and if she admits to that and turns down his proposal, that could be enough to make his mom set her claws on the entire Lyon empire, if you will. According to TV Guide, part of the synopsis for Episode 14 is that “Cookie gives Lucious unexpected news that makes him feel uneasy about the future.” That sounds like a big yes for Angelo’s proposal, but will Cookie marry Angelo on Empire?

If we’re really examining the promo, you can see Cookie witnessing a kiss between Lucious and Giuliana at the Empire club. In the next scene, Angelo is proposing to her and she’s wearing the same outfit. So it’s entirely possible that Cookie does accept, but on the basis of jealousy and hurt over Lucious kissing someone else. Even though he’s also literally married to someone else, too, so there’s that.

The whole season has had flashbacks of Cookie and Lucious’ past peppered in, giving viewers just enough details to make them somewhat hopeful for a reconciliation between the two dysfunctional moguls. Personally, I’ll never forget the flashback of Lucious putting a very young Jamal into a garbage can for dressing up in Cookie’s clothes, but I guess the beginnings of Cookie and Lucious are a lot more lovable.

But there’s got to be more reason for this history lesson all season other than the tribute album Jamal is recording. They’re painting a love story of sorts, and if the end result is Cookie marrying someone else, that doesn't really work. A big dramatic and tragic wedding for the Season 3 finale has Empire written all over it. So the wedding might happen, but there’s a pretty slim chance that Cookie will actually go through with it.

Indie R&B artist John Michael is back with a new project that’s on the way, but today, he has debuted the first single, “Iss Okay.”

The groove is strong on the Sin V Style-produced track, which brings forth an undeniable feel-good vibe as the singer/songwriter promises to take his woman to new heights and even through tough times, their love will endure.

“I know how to make you better / I know what you like / Promises ain’t clever / I don’t usually make them / But you can bet I’m right, right on time,” he sings.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, John explained: “When I was writing this song I thought back to a sort of dark time when I didn’t really have much to my name, but I knew I could offer peace of mind and a decent time to a girl I liked. I didn’t want to hold her back in anyway because I knew my life was all over the place but at the same time I just had to be with her.”

John Michael’s new mixtape, INTRA, will hit all download and streaming services on May 5. It is available for pre-order on iTunes now.

#HIPHOPNEWS: DMX Cancels Concerts Due to Health Issues, Insiders Fear Relapse

DMX’s health is once again a source of concern for those around him.

According to TMZ, an unspecified health condition has forced the legendary MC to cancel tour dates this week. Last night (Apr. 25), fans in Santa Ana, Calif. were told that Dark Man X was unable to perform due to a “medical emergency.” His upcoming concert in San Diego will also reportedly be postponed.

Insiders are concerned about the Yonkers rapper because of his recent behavior. Last week, he reportedly drank “heavily” at the Ruff Ryders reunion concert in Brooklyn. As a result, some critics said that he “bombed the show.”

During the concert, X discussed his troubles in a spoken word piece that he’s also shared in the past. “Whenever I went through something, it brought me closer to God,” he said. “I stayed in that something, so now I’m closer to God / But being closer is hard / Because the attacks get stronger / To fight and they last longer.”

According to the report, some also fear that X has relapsed in his ongoing fight with substance abuse. This was also a concern for many fans who viewed him in a video earlier this month, congratulating burgeoning rapper Quadir Lateef on his recent success. YouTube comments expressed sadness over his apparent troubles.

“hate the fact that drugs fucked X up smh..this dude is a legend regardless tho,” said one viewer, while another added: “Sad to see X in this condition and I hope he gets better.”

The Ruff Ryders leader has had an agonizing battle with these issues. Over the years, he’s been open about the struggles. In 2013, X spoke with Dr. Phil about his erratic past. When asked if he would change it in any way, the rapper responded: “I wouldn’t redo anything ’cause it got me right here, right where I’m at right now. I’m in a good place. No regrets.”

His health issues have continued to be worrisome. Just last year, he was reportedly hospitalized after being found unresponsive in a parking lot. While some worried that this might have been an overdose, X’s family claimed that it was related to an asthma attack.

DMX has not commented on his latest medical emergency.

Oh? Kim Kardashian on Caitlyn Jenner: 'I Don't Respect the Character She's Showing' Right Now

Kim Kardashian gave a revealing interview during her appearance on The Ellen Show, airing later today.

The 36-year-old reality star spoke with Ellen about Caitlyn Jenner and her new memoir.

“My heart breaks for my mom. You know, because I feel like she’s been through so much and there’s….She’s promoting this book and she’s saying all these things…I just don’t think it’s necessary, you know. And I just feel like it’s unfair, things aren’t truthful,” Kim began.

Kim then continued that she believes Caitlyn is not being honest, especially concerning her mom Kris.

“Not with certain things about my mom and you know, or other things. I mean, I feel like its taken her a really long time to be honest with herself, so I don’t expect her to be honest you know, about my mom now, but it’s just so hurtful. Like I just, I wish her all the success in the world, but not at our expense,” Kim continued. “And I think my mom’s been so respectful for so long and always wanting Caitlyn around and always wanting have a great relationship with Caitlyn, but I think you know, for the Kardashians, which she doesn’t like to say that word or she said that in her book. On Diane Sawyer she purposely never said our name.”

“I haven’t talked to her in a couple of weeks and I’ll always, I mean, I’ll always love her. That was my stepdad for so many years. She taught me about character and so much growing up and I just feel like I don’t respect the character that she’s showing now. And, but like I said, we, I’ll still always have a major love for her, for who she was in my life. I’m really sentimental; I think my mom’s that way. And I’ll never say…it’s still Kendall and Kylie‘s dad, so I want to be respectful, but I just feel like there’s no need for a book. You know, tell your story but just don’t bash other people, you know. I just think like it’s not tasteful.”

They’re BACK! ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ Starring Taron Egerton, Halle Berry, Channing Tatum, & Jeff Bridges

20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for their Kingsman: The Secret Service sequel and it’s lit as a Christmas tree on December 25th.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is slated to hit theaters on September 22 with Taron Egerton reprising his role as Eggsy. They’ve also beefed up the cast with heavy hitters like Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, Sir Elton John, Channing Tatum and more.

Minnesota Man Sentenced To 15 Years For Shooting Black Protesters

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A white Minnesota man who was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison Wednesday for shooting and wounding five black protesters said he’ll live with the consequences of his actions for the rest of his life, but stopped short of apologizing.

Allen Scarsella’s sentence of 15 years and two months was short of prosecutors’ request for the maximum 20 years but within state guidelines. The 25-year-old Bloomington man was convicted in February on assault and riot charges for shooting the five men at a Black Lives Matter protest encampment outside a north Minneapolis police station following the fatal police shooting of a black man, Jamar Clark, in 2015.

“I recognize the severity of the events of November 23rd, 2015,” Scarsella said as he stood before Hennepin County District Judge Hilary Caligiuri. He said the shootings were not what he wanted to happen that night when he and three friends went to the protest, where demonstrators chased them away because they were wearing masks. “I’ll live with the consequences the rest of my life.”

Prosecutor Chris Freeman dismissed self-defense claims that Scarsella made during his trial. He called the crime, “five unarmed black men gunned down in what can only be described as a mass shooting” by a man whose numerous racist texts to friends made his motivations clear to the jury.

Defense attorney Laura Heinrich argued for the minimum sentence under the guidelines of just more than six years in prison, telling the judge that if Scarsella could change what happened, he would. She said he feels “deeply sorry” about the harm to the victims and has come to understand how hurtful the language he once used might be to others. She declined to comment after the hearing but said they plan to appeal.

Judge Caligiuri said she didn’t claim to understand why Scarsella did what he did or where he got his “repugnant, racist ideas.” She said the only saving grace in the events of that night was that none of the victims died.

The hearing and the aftermath highlighted how emotions remain raw over Clark’s death. The only victim who testified at the sentencing was Clark’s cousin, Cameron Clark, who was shot in the foot and leg. He suggested that Scarsella got a break that a black man would not have gotten.

“If that had been me I would have been looking at 25 to 30 (years) for shooting five white people,” Cameron Clark said.

Clark and his grandfather James Clark — Jamar Clark’s father — kept up their criticism afterward of Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman. Freeman last year decided not to charge the white officers involved in the killing of Jamar Clark.

Cameron Clark said Scarsella should have been charged with attempted murder. Instead, the most serious charge he faced was first-degree assault resulting in great bodily harm, which Freeman had said earlier was the most serious charge the evidence allowed.

Drake Stays at Same Caribbean Resort as Ex Jennifer Lopez
