Nicki Minaj Goes talks to NYT Writer, Explains all of her Different BEEFS!
When Nicki Minaj went up on stage to accept the Best Hip-Hop Video award for “Anaconda” at the 2015 MTV VMAs she definitely made a memorable acceptance speech. You’ll recall, after thanking those who helped with the video treatment, Nicki went straight Queens on the VMA host Miley Cyrus.
Apparently, Miley had said something about Nicki in the media days prior and Nicki was not happy about it. Rather than pull her to the side and talk it out, she took it public…on stage…in front of everybody, shouting out “This b*tch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press … Miley, what’s good?”
At the time, many people thought it was a publicity stunt (us included). But, we now know it was nothing of the sort. The Young Money raptress was really coming for Miley and wasn't concerned about any negative backlash.
In a new and in-depth interview with the New York Times, the 32-year-old international rap star explains why she came at Miley’s neck during the telecast a month ago. Basically, Nicki called out Miley for being the culture vulture that she is. The "Anaconda" rapper said Miley loves being a part of the black culture when it's convenient or beneficial for her, but when it comes to issues plaguing the black community, Miley has no interest. She broke it down like this:
‘‘The fact that you [Miley] feel upset about me speaking on something that affects black women makes me feel like you have some big balls. You’re in videos with black men, and you’re bringing out black women on your stages, but you don’t want to know how black women feel about something that’s so important? Come on, you can’t want the good without the bad. If you want to enjoy our culture and our lifestyle, bond with us, dance with us, have fun with us, twerk with us, rap with us, then you should also want to know what affects us, what is bothering us, what we feel is unfair to us. You shouldn’t not want to know that.’’
Good point. Quiet as kept, we've heard the same arguments being made toward Nicki as well.
The NY emcee also talks about how she felt when her boyfriend Meek Mill was battle rapping against her labelmate Drake. We all saw how it played out…Drizzy BODIED Nicki’s beau and many were wondering how she felt being caught in the middle. She says she hates their beef and wishes for it to be over:
‘‘They’re men, grown-ass men,’’ she said. ‘‘It’s between them.’’
How does it make you feel, I ask?
‘‘I hate it,’’ she said. ‘‘It doesn’t make me feel good. You don’t ever want to choose sides between people you love. It’s ridiculous. I just want it to be over.’’
Then the interview went a little left when the writer asked her this: ‘‘Is there a part of you that thrives on drama, or is it no, just pain and unpleasantness—’’
That set Nicki OFF! She responded:
“‘That’s disrespectful,’’ Minaj said, drawing herself up in the chair. ‘‘Why would a grown-ass woman thrive off drama?’’
‘‘What do the four men [Drake, Meek, Lil Wayne & Birdman] you just named have to do with me thriving off drama?’’ she asked. ‘‘Why would you even say that? That’s so peculiar. Four grown-ass men are having issues between themselves, and you’re asking me do I thrive off drama?’’
‘‘That’s the typical thing that women do. What did you putting me down right there do for you?’’ she asked. ‘‘Women blame women for things that have nothing to do with them. I really want to know why — as a matter of fact, I don’t. Can we move on, do you have anything else to ask?’’ she continued. ‘‘To put down a woman for something that men do, as if they’re children and I’m responsible, has nothing to do with you asking stupid questions, because you know that’s not just a stupid question. That’s a premeditated thing you just did.’’
(The writer said) She called me ‘‘rude’’ and ‘‘a troublemaker,’’ said ‘‘Do not speak to me like I’m stupid or beneath you in any way’’ and, at last, declared, ‘‘I don’t care to speak to you anymore.’’

#SAYHERNAMEKIESHA: Kiesha Jenkins, 22-Year-Old Black Trans Woman, Murdered in Philadelphia
In the early morning of October 6th, the 20th trans woman to be murdered in the United States this year lost her life. Her name was Kiesha Jenkins and she was just 22 years old. She was a Philadelphia native who previously attended West Philadelphia High School and was attending Temple University at the time of her death.
Jenkins was attacked by five or six men shortly after getting out of a car at 2:30 AM in Philadelphia. They beat her until she fell to the ground and then shot her. The news of a 20th trans woman being murdered this year was disturbing enough, and the viciousness of her attack just adds to it. According to Homicide Capt. James Clark, “obviously, it looks like she was targeted, but we don’t know yet for what reason.” The police are offering a $20,000 reward for information on her murder and ask anyone with knowledge to call police at 205-686-TIPS or the homicide unit at 215-686-3334.
Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter’s liaison to the LGBT community, Nellie Fitzpatrick, said that Jenkins’ death was “a tremendous and tragic loss for the entire city, our LGBT community, and, more specifically, our trans community… This type of wicked, inhumane violence just has no place here. We can’t take it anymore. It’s just too much.” She added that “The violence against the trans community, specifically trans women of color, is an absolute, widespread national problem. And the problem isn’t solved by solving each homicide after it happens. The solution is in our society — making sure that any level of stigma or lack of access is completely eliminated for everyone.”
The other trans women reported murdered this year are Tamara Dominguez, Elisha Walker (who went missing late in 2014), Kandis Capri, Amber Monroe, Shade Schuler, K.C. Haggard, India Clarke, Ashton O’Hara, Jasmine Collins, Mercedes Williamson, London Chanel, Keyshia Blige, Kristina Gomez Reinwald, Penny Proud, Taja Gabrielle DeJesus, Yazmin Vash Payne, Ty Underwood, Lamia Beard and Papi Edwards. Nearly all of these women were Black and/or Latinx. Eleven out of the twenty have been 25 years old or younger. Jenkins is the second trans woman murdered in Philadelphia this year, after London Chanel was murdered there back in May. These are the people who are being targeted right now, and those are the people we need to step up and protect.
It should go without saying that trans women of color, and specifically the Black trans women who get the worst of this, deserve to be treated as human beings and deserve to live long and happy lives. If you want to take action, here are some lists of actions you can take to help trans women of color. Additionally, if you live in or near Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Trans March is taking place this weekend on October 10th. h/t autostraddle

Well EMPIRE fans there's a rumor floating around that Sereyah and Wale are now dating. Wale lives part time in Chicago. So that is likely how they met, if true. A source tells ET that the couple has been dating since June. Yes, June.
Wale, 31, lives in Los Angeles but has another home in Chicago, where Empire films.
The two have been working on maintaining a long-term relationship and see each other every few weeks.
Though the two have not yet made their romance public, in September, Serayah tweeted Wale’s new song at the time, "Spoiled."

Stevie Wonder Finalizes Divorce From 2nd Wife, Pays $25,000 in Child Support
Stevie Wonder has officially put an end to a divorce that’s taken him more than three years to finalize. Reportedly, the 65-year-old legendary artist has ended his marriage to Kai Millard.
The pair married in 2001 and had been separated since 2009. According to court documents, the former couple will share custody of their children together 14-year-old Kailand, and 10-year-old Mandla. Wonder has agreed to pay $25,000 a month in child support as part of the settlement
This was Wonder’s second marriage. He was first married in 1972 to Motown singer-songwriter Syreeta Wright. Currently Stevie is on his sold out ‘Songs In The Key of Life Tour’ which was here in Philadelphia last night
K. Michelle Denies Nip and Tuck Facelift Rumors!
K. Michelle is denying rumors that she got a facelift. The rumor was started last week by gossip website MediaTakeOut, and revisited today by the same outlet after they published what they call evidence of the operation.
According to MTO, Michelle got a VOLUMA treatment in her cheeks and eyes. They then provided this description of just what a VOLUMA treatment is:

Beyoncé and Jay-Z acquires a New Rental Home!
Beyoncé and Jay-Z rents an extravagant $45 million home. The place was once owned by ex-LA Dodgers owner Frank McCourt. It’s also located on Holmby Hills Palace. He decided that he decided to put it on the market for around $150k a month. Beyonce and Jay signed a 1-year lease.
As for the house … it’s 20,000 square feet, complete with an indoor Olympic-sized pool complex and an outdoor pool with a waterfall and formal gardens.
Fat Joe's BEAUTIFUL Message About His Son With Special Needs!
There are very few moments when we can recall male hip hop stars showing their vulnerable sides, but Fat Joe might change that. Earlier this week, the rapper aka Joseph Cartagena opened up on Facebook about his oldest son Joey, who has special needs, and he included an adorable photo.
In addition to the photo, he posted a tender-loving message that made our eyes go all misty. He said,
"I'm very private with my first born. Joey is special kid full of joy and Love. there's no way you could understand unless you have a family member who has challenges in life. He's my angel and the reason for all my blessings. I Love him to death #godisgreat."
We first learned about Fat Joe's son (he has three children in total) in 2010 during an interview with UrbLife when Joe opened up about the challenges he faces and how Joey forced him to grow up quickly..
"My oldest son is Joey, he's 18. When I had him I was very young. I love my son dearly, but I didn't feel like I was ready to have kids at the time. From time to time I told my mom and dad they should have educated me on the responsibilities of having a kid. He was a special needs child, I raised him with my parents. His mom couldn't handle him, and instead of him going to a center we raised him all of his life. I had to learn the responsibilities of being a parent the hard way."
