IT’S OFFICIAL HILLARY 2016 is COMING!!
A source with knowledge of Hillary Clinton's plans has confirmed that she will officially announce her 2016 presidential bid on Saturday or Sunday. This will be imminently followed by campaign travel.
A spokesperson for Clinton's campaign team did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.
Clinton has long been expected to enter the 2016 race. Polls show her well ahead of all her likely Democratic and Republican rivals.
She has been ramping up her presidential preparations including leasing office space for a headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, and hiring key staffers.
On Tuesday, CNN reported Clinton's official announcement was "likely only days away."
Two Democratic challengers to Clinton, former Virginia Senator Jim Webb and former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee have also officially launched 2016 presidential exploratory committees.
Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley is also considering entering the race.
On the Republican side, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) have both formally launched campaigns. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) has a "big announcement" scheduled for an event in Florida next Monday.
Clinton's plans to kick off her campaign this weekend could complicate Rubio's kickoff. Both Cruz and Paul enjoyed substantial coverage after their announcements. Cruz also saw his poll numbers improve following his official launch. Coverage of Clinton's announcement and subsequent trip could diminish the attention give to Rubio's kickoff because of her status as a strong frontrunner.
In a message to Business Insider, an operative for one of the other 2016 campaigns teased Rubio about being "overshadowed."
"Poor Marco, overshadowed again," the operative wrote.

In fact, he responded to some of the “hate” via an Instagram post last month where he put up a pic of himself and his girl and captioned, “That face you make when you take a selfie w/your white gf and you thinking about all the racist comments that’s bout to be under your comments lol.”
Well….he’s still defending his interracial relationship publicly. The all grown up (and sexy) Miller son stopped by “The Meredith Vieira Show” recently to address the negative backlash he has received since putting his love for his new boo on front street.
He said,
“It’s crazy to think in 2015 when I start posting pictures of me and my girl, obviously I’m black, she’s white, a lot of hate mail & hate comments was on there. It’s just sad because honestly, anybody who knows me, I’ve dated girls as black as Akon and as white as Casper. It’s all about the heart. She’s the one who captured my heart. She could have been blue, green or yellow.”

Shooting at The Census
Bureau in Maryland Ends in a WILD shootout in NE DC!
Washington was rocked
late Thursday by shootings -- one at the gates of the U.S. Census Bureau's
headquarters and another in a popular area packed with restaurant patrons. The
shootings were connected, authorities said.
They began with what
authorities believe was a domestic kidnapping incident, according to D.C. Police
Chief Cathy Lanier. The suspect's vehicle was spotted outside the Census Bureau,
which is in Suitland, Maryland.
A guard apparently
approached the vehicle and saw two people
arguing.
That guard was then shot
at least once in the upper body, said Prince George's County Fire Department
spokesman Mark Brady.
The guard is being
transported to a hospital and is in extremely critical condition, according to
Brady.
The police chief said the
suspect then fled the scene. Officers picked up the chase, and the suspect fired
gunshots at multiple locations, Lanier said. The chase ended in a crash on
Washington's busy H Street.
A shootout ensues, Lanier
said.
An officer and the
suspect were wounded, according to the police chief. Both were conscious and
talking when they left the scene.
"Right now, we have every reason to believe that the car that we
have in this last incident here is the same car involved and the same person
involved in the kidnapping," she said.
Lanier told reporters the
kidnapping victim was located and is in good
condition.
She did not identify the
suspect, nor the guard, nor the officer who were
injured.
Mariah Carey Christmas Movie In The Works At New Line Cinema
There’s a Mariah Carey Christmas film in the works, according to Deadline – who reports New Line Cinema has pre-emptively bought an untitled Mariah Carey Christmas pitch from RatPac Entertainment writers David Diamond and David Weissman and producer Jon Shestack:
The plan is for Carey to play a major role in the film. The project came about when Carey brought an idea to RatPac principal and her pal Brett Ratner for a movie about Christmas. The yuletide season is special for Carey, who wrote and performed “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” a 1994 tune that has sold more than 14 million copies globally to become the biggest holiday perennial in recent memory and the biggest international hit of Carey’s career.
While the plot of the film is not being revealed, the holiday is at the film’s center, along with a theme of how the power of music can take you back in time to some of your truest and most authentic feelings. Plans include featuring songs from all different artists, as well as Mariah songs.

Taraji P. Henson Channels Cookie in New ‘Saturday Night Live’ Promos
Taraji P. Henson is scheduled to host Saturday Night Live this weekend (April 11), and NBC has released a three-minute promotional video of the Empire star alongside SNL cast member Taran Killam.
In the clip, Taraji, in true Cookie Lyon form, slaps Taran after he asks her if she’s anything like her character in real life.
Taraji also teaches Taran how to confront someone he has an issue with. “Here’s what you do: you walk up to him, and you put your hand on your hip like this, right, and you say to him, ‘Honey boo boo, I’m here to get what’s mine!'”
In the final clip, the pair don protective headgear and star in Umpire, a baseball-themed soap opera and a clear play on the word “empire.”

Uh-Oh: Charges Officially Filed Against Game Punching Off-Duty Police Officer
Compton, California rapper The Game was accused of punching another player during a Pro-Am basketball game in Hollywood Sunday (March 29).
Reports HipHopDX “Game was playing in a Pro-Am game Sunday at Hollywood High School when he got into a heated argument with another player,” TMZ reports in an article published today. “We’re told Game threatened to kill the guy, punched him in the face and took off.”
The police are investigating this incident as battery.
The rapper, real name Jayceon Taylor, was reportedly participating with his team La Familia in the JBL National Pro-Am Basketball League. The Game explains in a social media post that he will no longer play in the Drew League.
“WE WILL NOT BE PARTICIPATING in the #DrewLeague this year due to us & Nike not being able to agree on a certain issue,” The Game says on Instagram. “See, the problem with homegrown organizations is once they go corporate, it takes the raw, original format & waters it down until it becomes something forced versus something that was REAL, AUTHENTIC & for the neighborhood. We as people that grew up in Compton & the surrounding areas must put our foot down & stand up to big companies & their politics in order to not lose ourselves, our culture & the things we enjoy the most that were created in the hood, FOR THE HOOD. I brought NBA ALL-STAR players from Kevin Durant Paul George & James Harden to helping Lebron & Kobe make Drew League appearances & never wanted anything for my contribution but to see CHILDREN SMILE at being able to see their favorite professional athletes in their neighborhood playing basketball without having to pay.”
According to the JBL League’s Facebook page, The Game scored 30 points in his first game. He says he hopes to give back to the community through his appearances.
“My only mission with the Drew & other leagues around LA is to give back to the youth in my city & cities surrounding it & be a positive force for my community,” The Game continues. “This was recently compromised by Nike reps overseeing The Drew & today I had to remove myself from contributing my time & hard work as well as withdraw both of my teams #LaFamilia & #TheRobinHoodProject… If you want to see me & #LaFamilia we will be in the #JBL.”
Suns Marcus & Markieff Morris Accused Of Assaulting Man Who Was Sexting Their Mom
The Morris Twins don't play when it comes to mom! The Phoenix Suns Ballers are accused of assaulting former professional basketball player Erik Hood in January. The 25 year old brothers and three others allegedly attacked the man after they learned of "inappropriate" text messages he sent to their mother.
The alleged assault took place at the Nina Mason Pulliam Recreation & Sports Complex where Erik Hood and a woman had been watching a basketball game. Marcus & Markieff's mother denies having contact with Hood on the day in question. Hood and his female companion were leaving the complex when they were accosted by a man named Julius Kane, who Erik Hood believes told the Morris twins about the text message.
The twins are being accused of aggravated assault after Hood and his female companion identified Kane and the twins as 3 of the five men who attacked him. Hood suffered a broken nose, a large knot on the back of his head and abrasions. Markieff Morris denied being part of the attack, though he admitted he and his brother were at the game (because the sponsor one of the teams).
No arrests were made and no charges were filed but prosecutors are continuing to review the case submitted by police.

Folks came out to celebrate the life and birthday of Congressman John Lewis. The birthday gala was held at Atlanta’s historic Tabernacle located downtown.
The evening included an amazing concert and performances by Alfre Woodward, Indigo Girls, Tichina Arnold, Kim Fields, Regina Belle, Carmen Ejogo, The Annointed Pace Sisters, Terri J. Vaughn, Dule Hill, Demetria McKinney, Gary Jeter, Ryan Cameron, Ed Dwight, Clark King, Roger Bobb, AJ Calloway, the Morehouse Glee Club, and Stephen James who portrayed Congressman Lewis in the Oscar nominated film ‘Selma’.
The evening was absolutely amazing!

Congressman Lewis was full of energy and delight as he witnessed Atlanta pay tribute to his tremendous legacy. The invitation only birthday celebration collided with the 50th anniversary of the Selma March where thousands of supporters from across the nation came together to celebrate the momentous occasion and pay tribute to John Lewis who’s known as the Keeper of Faith – Protector for Justice – Defender of Freedom.
Congressman John Lewis had the following to say about his big year,
“I am so humbled by the love and support of my friends and especially, my constituents in Georgia’s Fifth Congressional District. I wake up every day honored and blessed to serve them and our nation after 75 years.”

TLC’s Chili & T-Boz Have Issues that are Halting Ex-Manager’s $40 Mill Lawsuit
TLC members T-Boz & Chili are making it extremely difficult for their ex-manager Pebbles and her $40 million dollar lawsuit, with holding up the court battle due to their summer concert tour and T-Boz’s health issues.
T-Boz and Chili have been included in the $40 million lawsuit over the TLC movie and their former manager Pebbles has served them with subpoenas in the legal battle. Perri Reid aka Pebbles – TLC’s former manager – sued Viacom for $40 mill claiming she was defamed by how TV movie “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story” portrayed her.
Pebbles explained in docs that the film showed her “as a conniving and dishonest business woman who hoodwinked three innocent girls and exploited their talent for her own personal gain.” Further, she said that contrary to what the film showed, she never controlled the groups lawyers and always paid the girls what they were due.
Viacom fired back at the allegations that they defamed Pebbles. In the docs, they state that based on their knowledge the portrayal of Pebbles was accurate and they did not act with malice when making the film. They demanded her 40 million dollar lawsuit be dismissed.
Then on September 30th, Pebbles slapped her former clients T-Boz & Chili with subpoenas. The two were producers on the TV movie which aired earlier last year. The docs demand the two hand over all documents and communications between them and Viacom which discuss Pebbles.
Pebbles also served them with notices to depose both Chili and T-Boz under oath about their involvement with the film and the alleged lies that were told about her.
However, according to docs filed recently in the case the two girls are dealing with some things that will force Pebbles to wait much longer to see a resolution in her $40 million dollar lawsuit.
The court documents state that Chili and T-Boz cannot sit down to be questioned by their former manager due to their Summer Tour they recently announced. The concerts kick off in May and don’t end until July — meaning Pebbles will have to wait to pursue legal action.

Black Twitter Drags Clorox for ‘Racist’ Tweet About New Emojis
@Clorox stirred up a hornet’s nest on social media platform Twitter.com last night by tweeting what appeared to be a whitewashed bottle of Clorox along with the caption, “New emojis are alright but where’s the bleach.”
Clorox was referring to Apple releasing its new iOS 8.3 with an updated list of new multicultural (minorities) Emojis.
Black Twitter’s backlash against @Clorox’s initial tweet was just as puzzling as the tweet itself.
Soon, @Clorox and its whitewashed bottle was trending on Twitter.
Then @Clorox followed up that genius publicity stunt with another head scratching tweet that implied @Clorox was referring to cleaning up the new black emojis.
I admit I was just as confused as you are at all the rage directed at @Clorox’s initial Tweet.

John Legend to Produce Romantic Drama Starring Miguel
R&B singers Miguel, left, and John Legend are joining forces to create a romantic drama starring Miguel.
R&B singers John Legend and Miguel are finally collaborating (although unfortunately for music fans, their collaboration has nothing to do with music).
According to Variety, John’s Get Lifted Film Co. and Furst Films are partnering with IM Global to produce a musical romantic drama starring Miguel. The project is currently untitled.
The film will begin production later this year in Philadelphia, and Miguel will star as a former one-hit wonder who falls in love with music once more after being hired to coach an aspiring singer with an upcoming audition for a singing competition show.
Sounds cool to us; run us that new album though, Miguel.
Atlanta Celebs come out for The "Blackbird" Preview
Academy-Award winner Mo'Nique joined her husband Sidney Hicks to host a private screening of their upcoming movie 'BLACKBIRD.' The controversial film was written and directed by Patrik-Ian Polk and
Funnyman Rodney Perry (who also starred with Monique on her ill-fated BET talk show) joined her at the screening.
"R&B Divas Atlanta" star Meelah gave a little shoulder tease.
Singer D. Woods (formerly of Danity Kane) also stars in the film.
Gary (from Rickey Smiley's Morning Show) was there to support.
