The Mentally Disturbed Life of Tameka Raymond Foster

The Mentally Disturbed Life of Tameka Raymond Foster
According to Tameka Raymond, the custody battle between her and her ex-husband (Usher) is far from over. Wednesday morning, over a week from the frightening pool incident (involving her five-year-old-son Usher V), Tameka visited Good Morning America, pleading her case as to why she filed for emergency custody hearing, how she accidentally learned about their son’s accident and having moderately severe mental disorder. She explained to GMA’s Dan Abram:

I don’t know if there’s a way for a  blood pressure to peak higher, so quick….I was mad because I was like, ‘How did this happen? Who was watching him? Why was he under water for nearly three minutes? I was at a dental appointment and you know he doesn’t call me regularly so when I saw his number come up, I immediately jumped up  ’cuz I figured he has the boys..I need to get this….
When she received the news, she immediately thought of her son, Kile, who she lost last year in a boating accident:
It was like I relived it, like my brain just went into all those modes, thinking…and I even said on the phone, ‘I had this call before’. I didn’t blame him for it…I just was angry that it happened on his watch, because while accidents happen, never have my children been injured on my watch…
She also explains why she decided to file an emergency motion last week, which also played out heavily in the media. Contrary to popular belief, Tameka says that she filed so that her son wouldn’t have to return to the place where the accident happened, not to prevent their son from being with Usher:

When the incident happened, my attorney filed an emergency motion, so that when my son was released from the hospital he wasn’t going to have to go back to the house with their incident happened…I deem that an emergency…I’d like to have my first right of refusal, which means  when he’s not present, the kids come home to their mom….I don’t want them to go home to the nanny and watch whatever show he’s on…I had to see on Instagram that my four year old lost his tooth.
Surprisingly, she also confirmed that she’s been diagnosed with having ‘a moderately severe mental disorder’.

Yes. I’m going to be retested. You would think from hearing that that sounds like, wow, she must be cutting the kids or beating them excessively or on crack, or selling crack…Wow, I ‘m just bad–hell on wheels.I’m an individual. I don’t have a publicist, I don’t have a manager, I don’t have an agent, I just have some regular working class friends and family members…we don’t know how to fight the machine.

Yesterday was part 2 of the interview aired. In the second installment, Tameka covers all bases, responding to the disorder that she was diagnosed with and why, the monthly $8k that she receives from Usher, along with what the biggest factor was in Usher winning custody in court.
I think that wealthy men and men that are of status are winning these cases, like, you know, hand over foot. It’s kind of amazing because it’s like they’re winning them, but these are very busy men. … That’s why they’re wealthy.

She also remains adamant that Usher’s intense schedule doesn’t allow him to care for their children, but leave them with a nanny or relatives when they should be with their mother.
I feel like the kids are not getting proper care. And I think the reason for that is he’s not there. There is no amount of care that a caregiver, nanny, grandmother, aunt, anyone… There’s nothing like a mother.

She also speaks clearly about the specifics surrounding the disorder that she was diagnosed with.

I had narcissistic personality traits. That’s what actually the diagnosis was. They ask you a series of questions, like, ‘When you’re walking down the street, do you feel like people are looking?’ My answer is yes, but that was based off of when I’m walking down the street, people do point and say, ‘Oh, that’s Usher’s ex-wife.’ I think we all have a little narcissistic personality disorder, especially those of us in the limelight,. But I don’t think it’s something that affects your parenting.
And when asked if this battle is about the $8k provided monthly by her 34-year-old ex husband, she stated:
That’s amazing. Not to, like, gloat or anything, but I come from a very well-earned career. I’ve made lots and lots of money. And $8,000 a month is not a lot of money to me. I’m grateful for it, but for someone to think I don’t love my kids and this is about $8,000, they are really crazy. That’s really ludicrous.
