Is Jada Pinkett Smith Questioning Women's Sexuality about Lesbianism?
In an open letter on her Facebook page Jada Pinkett Smith questions women who choose lesbianism as a last resort...
Jada writes,
Before I begin...I want to make one thing clear. It's important that you know that I believe love comes in ALL forms. I believe a person should love WHOMEVER...HOWEVER they choose. But...I do have a question.
In the last month, three women, in their 40s, coming out of long term relationships with men have confided in me that they now feel that their last resort for companionship is that with a woman. These are women who have never engaged in or even desired to be in intimate relationships with other women. Now these women feel as though they have no other option. It seems as if there is a spike in same sex love all around. What is changing in which how men and women are relating to one another, that is creating same sex love as a LAST RESORT for heterosexual women?

It takes some ppl a lifetime to really determine what makes them happy. Being a late in lifer myself, I welcome all comers. Life is ever evolving and no one can decide for you, but you. So when you determine that it is what it is, then holla at ya girl.
ReplyDeleteNope... not that either... I'm in my late 50's and have a lot of friends over the years who have just become disgusted with their relationships. And a grown woman knows what she needs. So two grown women are definitely intuned to the needs of the other and how to please them in all way. It's not just a sexual thing for women, it's a spiritual (if I can say that) experience of support and love that they are looking for. Why do you think so many are on the down low? They don't want to come out, but they love the relationship and how their parent makes them feel. It's what I call "GFOS"-"Girl Friend On Steroids".
