The Miami Heat Champs... Get Meeting With President Obama
LeBron, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Mario Chalmers, Juwan Howard and all the rest of the team got to meet up with basketball fan President Barack Obama at the White House. It's tradition that professional athlete teams who win championships get recognition from the President. So this was their big day.
Dwyane brought girlfriend Gabrielle Union along. And she looked fab in grey.
The players like Ray Allen and Mr. Wade got to meet the President, who praised them for their win and their work with military families.
And Bron Bron presented Mr. President with a ball signed by the entire team. Nice!

Gospel Artist Dewayne Woods Teams With Peta
Award-winning gospel artist DeWayne Woods sings to congregations of thousands every week and now he is spreading that abundant love to animals. DeWayne refers to his dogs as his “kids” and believes that raising children in an environment in which they see animals treated with love and respect will help our culture see animals as they see each other—as equals. Animal companions are a part of DeWayne’s family, and family members aren’t abandoned outside and left at the mercy of the elements—they live indoors with the rest of the family. Too many dogs spend their lonely days and cold nights at the end of a chain.
Chained dogs are often deprived of adequate food, water, and veterinary care—in addition to having their emotional and social needs completely ignored. They are vulnerable to cruel people and other animals and rarely have sufficient shelter to shield them from inclement weather.
DeWayne feels that it is a guardian’s job to show animals the way, not based on dominance, but on love and guidance to make the most of this mutually beneficial relationship. In DeWayne’s ad for PETA, he poses with his two adorable dogs and encourages everyone to welcome companion animals into their home, where they can be safe and warm.
In this behind-the-scenes video, DeWayne sheds light on the cruelty of forcing dogs to live at the end of a chain and exposes cruelty to animals in circuses.
Chicago Lawyer Warren Ballentine Indicted in Fraud Scheme
Chicago south suburban radio host Warren Ballentine, 41, who is dubbed as the “People’s Attorney,” has been indicted and charged in a $10 million mortgage fraud scheme, according to federal officials.
On Jan. 24, 2013, the attorney and syndicated radio personality, who hosts “The Warren Ballentine Show,” was charged by a federal grand jury with a six-count indictment: two counts of bank fraud, two counts of making false statements to lenders, one count of mail fraud and one count of wire fraud.
His own Website describes him as “The People’s Attorney” and listed the name on his email address as “truthfighters.”
On his Facebook fan page, Ballentine today said that he is “INNOCENT.”
“For the record I’m innocent,” Ballentine said on the Facebook page. “I made a standard fee on closings. In Illinois a buyers attorney doesn’t handle any of the documents till closing so as this proceed u will see that I’m in this because I have a name. No big payday no knowledge of the paperwork.
Ballentine, 41, who currently lives in Durham, N.C. , formerly resided in Country Club Hills, where he still keeps a law office.
He is scheduled to appear at the Dirksen U.S. Courthouse on Feb. 5 on six counts of bank fraud, false statements and mail and wire fraud.
Ballentine could not be immediately reached for comment
Irate Mother In Atlanta Catches The Stun Gun Fade In Front Of Children
There are so many struggle moments in this video there really is no proper place to begin. At the start, a dude who turns out to be some security guard is in the middle of arguing with two women. By the looks of these "ladies" they certainly have spent plenty of time kicking it in the trap. No shots. With them are a plethora of children, that we'll assume are their progeny.
The women are basically reading the security guard the riot act after apparently being kicked out of the store he was securing, or whatever. After being called a "f-ck ni--a" multiple times, shout out to Trinidad James, the rent-a-cop basically resigned himself to let them keep talking ish while insisting that they move on.
Of course, they did not. And since kids are highly impressionable, a couple of the cast members from the live action BeBe's Kids movie were talking smack just like their mamas. One little boy can even be heard saying, "You gay!" [sigh]

Towards the end of the nearly video minute video is when ish gets real. The skinnier chick walks into the store's doorway to confront the security guard face to face since she found his repeated suggestion that she "Get your children" to be highly offensive. Go figure.
She gets up in the guard's face [Note: how he manages to still hold his camera phone while what happens next is truly incredible.] and ol' girl starts swinging on dude after he pushed her away. The whole time he repeatedly saying, "You better back it up." After she gets multiple swings in (by now the children are crying, of course) he breaks out a stun gun.
The taser, the variety with the electrodes, gets licked off and home girl's body stiffens like a surfboard. For a moment, everyone gets quiet when they realize what happened. Her dropping like a log was the dead giveaway. The struggle is real. Get yo kids!
We obviously don't know the entire story, but this incident involves equals parts comedy and tragedy that we just had to share.

The Best Man 2 Gets An Official Release Date
Officially confirming what we already knew, Universal Pictures issued a press release today announcing that The Best Man 2 is definitely happening, with a November 15, 2013 release date planned; so it should be going into production shortly. And while there’s still no word on what exactly the plot for this sequel will be, in the Universal press release, it’s stated that the entire starring cast of the first film is returning for the sequel, and hints at what the story will be: When the college friends finally reunite over the Christmas holidays, they will discover just how easy it is for long-forgotten rivalries and romances to be ignited.
After nearly 15 years apart, Taye Diggs, Nia Long, Morris Chestnut, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Monica Calhoun, Melissa De Sousa, and Regina Hall will reprise their career-launching roles in the next chapter of the film.
Malcolm D. Lee returns to write and direct this sequel in which he made his directorial debut. Sean Daniel will produce alongside Lee for The Sean Daniel Company.
Jurnee Smollett Joins The Cast Of True Blood
Actress Jurnee Smollett has locked down two TV jobs for herself — including a role as the daughter of Phylicia Rashad’s character, in NBC’s new thriller, Do No Harm, as well as she’ll be joining the cast of HBO‘s True Blood during its upcoming sixth season. Jurnee will play Nicole Wright, described as “wide-eyed… who is not concerned with money and more concerned with the common good and doing what’s right.” This True Blood role will be a series regular role for Jurnee.
True Blood‘s sixth season is scheduled to begin in June. Jurnee will next be seen on the big screen in Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage
Did You Know Arsenio Hall Turned Down The Movie “Bad Boys”?
As we already know, Arsenio is returning to prime-time, with a new talk show on CBS, scheduled to debut this fall. But I had no idea that he was offered Bad Boys, to star in opposite Martin Lawrence. I’m trying hard to visualize it, but I just can’t. I guess, I’ve never really thought of Arsenio Hall as that guy. Although I’m sure his take on the role would’ve been totally different from the way Will Smith did it. He would’ve brought Arsenio to it. Moving along — so what can we expect from his new show? Arsenio said, “There’s probably some marketing person saying it’s a party. It’s a spirited show. It is targeted for a younger demographic.
“The bottom line is yes it’s a party, just as the powers that be will say it is. But I’m not really sure it’s a party. If I go to a party and there is an applause sign and they shut down for commercials every now and then, then it’s a party I’m never coming back to. But for TV, that’s good marketing,” Arsenio said.
He continues, “The audience we had the first time around is about 40 now. From the (research) we have crunched, I think the audience that will embrace the show is an interesting cross demographic . That guy has kids now. I think they will both watch.”

Lil Boosie Breaks Down Prison Life, Music & More In Exclusive Interview
Imprisoned rapper Lil Boosie has been barred from speaking to the press while serving an eight-year bid on drug charges. However, the Baton Rouge native was allowed to grant an interview via his attorneys recently, and he revealed details on his life in prison, plans for his music and much more.
SPIN was able to snag the exclusive interview, although Boosie, born Torrence Hatch, hasn't spoken to the press since being found not guilty of first degree murder in May of 2012. The popular Louisiana rapper displayed a strong amount of self-awareness in his written statements to the magazine.
From SPIN:
I've coped by knowing in my heart that I'm someone special who many people love. If you lose hope in yourself, you'll make your time hard. I feel I haven't reached the star power that was destined for me. That makes me keep writing and thinking of ways to better myself as a man and artist.
Boosie's outlook on life, however, had seemed grim as state prosecutors attempted to tie the violent backdrop of some of his music to the murder he was accused of during his trial. “The state painted my music wrong," said Boosie. "My music is violent, but not all of it. I have songs about God, my kids, and telling other people's kids to chill out and go to school and do right.”
Lil Boosie was critical of the prison guards at the Louisiana State Penitentiary as well. “Some guards hate me with a passion and it shows in some of the things I've been told and called,” shared Boosie. “Some guards come to work full of hatred for inmates.”
Also highlighted was the groundswell of support from fans that revere Lil Boosie and await his return. Boosie also mentioned penning a memoir of his life titled The Truth, No Lies. He's also hopeful to be reunited with his mother and seven children while securing a major record deal.
Although rumors have swirled that Boosie will see a February release, a more realistic projection has been slated for 2014 according to New Orleans attorneys Jason Williams and Nicole Burdett.
Taraji P. Henson's Son Marcel MODELS For "SquareBear"
Marcel Henson, the cute 18-year-old son of Taraji P. Henson, has landed a campaign with the SquareBear clothing. The proud mama tweeted, Be different! Get SQUARED UP!!! @mysquarebear I love everything about this brand....especially the model!
And we think this gig may be Marcel's way of breaking into the real world and paying for college as Taraji revealed to Jimmy Fallon last year that she wants Marcel to sit out of college for a semester and learn what it's like in the real world. She said,
"Even though he is privileged, he doesn't remember the bad times when we were eating Hamburger Helper and peanut butter and jelly for dessert. He remembers all the good times and I don't want to raise this privileged kid, who's out of touch, so I made him sit out the first semester and he has to get a job. He called his grandmother, he was like, 'It's hard out here, it's hard to find a job.' So I was like, 'Yeah, I need you to know that.'"
"I need him to see how real it is out here. It builds character. I told him, 'College is like an investment. I'm investing my money in your future, and if I feel like you're a bad investment, I'm taking my money back."
Well.....Marcel seems to be doing well so far!

Redskins Baller Trent Williams Returns Home After Getting TASERED During Honolulu BRAWL!
Although he originally headed to Honolulu for the Pro Bowl, Washington Redskins lineman Trent Williams was sidelined following a nightclub brawl Friday night at "M Nightclub." He was tasered AND got smashed in the head with a champagne bottle!
Trent, who (above) was spotted wearing a bandage at the airport (he required 7 stitches and underwent concussion testing) didn't get to play in the game on Sunday, but his prowess is now legendary as reports say he NEVER went down during the fight! Because that's what really matters apparently...
One witness told ESPN, "It was like he was Jason on 'Friday the 13th' — man just wouldn't go down."
For now, one man has been arrested and five others are being investigated for the assault.
