Michael Ealy Finally Dishes On His Marriage...To Rolling Out Mag
When news rang out that Michael Ealy was officially off the market, we needed more deets than that. He secretly married his (secret?) girlfriend of four years Khatira Rafiqzada in October 2012, but the sexy actor remained mum on any extra details...until now.
In the new issue of Rolling Out, Mr. Ealy tells us what made him finally stop playing games and pop the question, how he knew the time was right, and dating "his type".
Here's the excerpts:
I think it caught a lot of people off guard when you got married. Why was it the time right to take such an important step?
Well, you know me, and you know that I am an extremely private person. But what I can say is that I’m not a young cat anymore. I’ve gone through my share of relationships, which ironically enough, I think have contributed to the work that I’ve done in some of these relationship films. I can relate to Danny in this new film, because I was him. So when I watched the film I was so happy that I had matured beyond that point in my life. Don’t get me wrong; marriage opens up an entirely different can of worms as it pertains to your evolution as a man. I’ve found that for me, the timing of it was right … that’s all that I can really say. And that’s a personal decision that was not made in haste, because we were together for four years. But when you find someone — and that’s something that is very hard to do … but when you find someone that you actually want to spend the rest of your life with, you have to go for it. I was just very lucky that the stars lined up for me.
Now that you have made your decision, and you’re happily married, what is a piece of advice that you can give to other men who may be contemplating that next big step?
While, I don’t consider myself a person that should write a book, or give advice on relationships, what I will share is my personal perspective. What helped me along the way was I had two personal friends of mine whose fiancés died. And I went through a personal struggle where my father got really sick, and I spent a week with him … and it just dawned on me that we don’t have as much time as we think. And when you’re done playing games, and you find someone who has qualities that are much more practical as opposed to romanticized ideals, then you’ve got to hold on to them.
And he even addressed why he didn't marry "his type":
People think that you’re supposed to marry your type … well, I didn’t marry my type. It’s much more practical, and based in a day-to-day existence. So when you have that, and you’re happy, and you love her, don’t waste time. Because time — and I’ve learned that at this point in my life — time is my most precious commodity. Nothing is more precious than time. Because when it runs out … that’s it.
Not sure who "his type" was, but she's totally the type we saw him wifing.

Will Smith Not To Return For "Independence Day" Sequel
Putting an end to hopes and rumors circulating this past year, Will Smith will not reprise his role as Captain Steven Hiller in director Roland Emmerich's "Independence Day 2."
Deadline has reported that the 45-year-old informed 20th Century Fox that he will not join up with the cast of the sequel, which is scheduled for release on July 1st, 2016.
Hype surrounds the upcoming sci-fi flick, as 2016 marks the the 20th anniversary of "Independence Day," which raked in $817.4 million overall.
And despite the fact that the "Fresh Prince" alum will not play in the movie, it is still very much in the works, as Emmerich and co-writer and producer Dean Devlin wrote two different versions of the movie; one featuring Smith and one not, while Emmerich also confirmed that a few of the original cast members will also join the movie. We can hardy wait!
The Game Claims "Driving While Black" After His Rolls Royce Gets Impounded
California has very strict cell phone laws when motorists are operating a vehicle and The Game being a staunch Golden State flag bearer in every rap that he writes, probably knows this.
Regardless, the cops didn't give the 34-year-old rapper the preferential treatment when it came to allegedly busting him driving while talking it up, but Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, insists he was targeted for a completely different reason.
He was a Black man driving in a fancy car.
A Rolls Royce to be exact. One that he no longer has in his possession since the car was impounded by a police officer who said he had expired tags on the brand new beauty.
Reports TMZ:
Game tells TMZ, police pulled him over for talking on his cellphone ... but he insists he wasn't. Game says he was ordered out of the car and police searched it without permission.
Game says officers were blunt ... if he didn't let them search the car, they'd arrest him.
According to the rapper, once all was said and done -- and the officers came up empty -- they cited him for expired tags and impounded the Rolls.
Our cop sources insist it had nothing to do with race -- claiming Game WAS a cell phone scofflaw ... and the search was a matter of protocol before impounding the car.
Unfortunately the struggle of Game involuntarily parting ways with cars isn't nothing new. In 2011, his new Corvette was repossessed after he spent many moons in Europe and fell behind on the payments.

Woody Allen Counters Dylan Farrow's Molestation Allegations
Responding in kind to the sexual abuse allegations brought against him, Woody Allen penned his own New York Times article in response to Dylan Farrow's accusations.
The op-ed published letter hit the papers on Friday (February 7), and it detailed his version of the dark story, his conflict with ex-wife Mia Farrow, his connection with current wife Soon-Yi Previn and his feelings toward his adopted daughter Dylan.
His letter read, "Being taught to hate your father and made to believe he molested you has already taken a psychological toll on this lovely young woman. It’s 21 years later and Dylan has come forward with the accusations that the Yale experts investigated and found false. A few little added creative flourishes…seem to have magically appeared during our 21-year estrangement."
Allen also blamed his ex-wife for these new allegations, writing, "Not that I doubt Dylan hasn’t come to believe she’s been molested, but if from the age of 7 a vulnerable child is taught by a strong mother to hate her father because he is a monster who abused her, is it so inconceivable that after many years of this indoctrination the image of me Mia wanted to establish had taken root?"
"Mia took custody of the children and we went our separate ways," he continued. "I was heartbroken. Moses was angry with me. Ronan I didn’t know well because Mia would never let me get close to him from the moment he was born and Dylan, whom I adored and was very close to and about whom Mia called my sister in a rage and said, 'He took my daughter, now I’ll take his.'"
Redirecting his focus to his wife, Allen wrote, "Soon-Yi and I are both hoping that one day she will understand who has really made her a victim and reconnect with us, as Moses has, in a loving, productive way."
In order to confirm that space itself is a concern for him, and therefore another reason he could not have molested Dyan, Allen continued, "Even the venue where the fabricated molestation was supposed to have taken place was poorly chosen but interesting. Mia chose the attic of her country house, a place she should have realized I’d never go to because it is a tiny, cramped, enclosed spot where one can hardly stand up and I’m a major claustrophobe."
Concluding his letter, the "Blue Jasmine" director wrote, "Of course, I did not molest Dylan. I loved her and hope one day she will grasp how she has been cheated out of having a loving father and exploited by a mother more interested in her own festering anger than her daughter’s well-being."
OOOPS The X Factor CANCELLED!
It’s a hard knock life in Hollywood. Just ask Simon Cowell, Kelly Rowland, Demi Lovato and Paulina Rubio. The show, which was executive produced by Simon, made the announcement Friday afternoon. The Hollywood Reporter shares:
As NBC has seen a ratings resurgence thanks to The Voice, and Fox’s 13-season-old American Idol has fallen from its flagship status, The X Factor did nothing to stem reality losses for Fox. The third season saw its performance show average just a 2.2 rating among adults 18-49 and 7 million viewers. The December finale closed the season down a devastating 45 percent from the previous cycle.
Fox entertainment chief Kevin Reilly recently addressed Cowell’s talk of a retooled return — but as of early January, he said there hadn’t been any decision. “The show underperformed this year,” Reilly told reporters at the Television CriticsAssociation’s winter press tour in January. “Simon himself would admit that. The ratings were not what we hoped, but this is a No. 1 brand around the world … and during that lifecycle, there’s been markets where it’s been down and had some very tough seasons, and they’ve reanimated it with producing changes and different ideas. I’ve heard some of those ideas. They are interesting. If the show were to come back, it would not be in the current format we have.
From what we hear, all of the judges, with the exception of Demi, were to return. In addition to ratings concerns, additional contributions to its demise is the over saturation of similar shows (American Idol, The Voice, etc.). After the singers’ 39-yearmarriage recently collapsed, the Internet lit up with claims that 73-year-old Toni Tennille dumped her ailing 71-year-old husband“Captain” Daryl Dragon because she’s been seeing another woman.
One blogger insisted that the songbird “is gay and has had a girlfriend for years.”
Another online celebrity watcher, who said her information came from a friend of the performers’ family, added that Toni is happy with her lover and “no longer found Daryl useful, ever since his illnesses caused him to cease playing keyboard or performing music.”
As The ENQUIRER previously reported, Daryl suffers tremors caused by a neurological condition similar to Parkinson’s disease.
The entertainers – best known for their hits “Do That to Me One More Time,” “Muskrat Love” and the classic “Love Will Keep Us Together” – tied the knot in 1975, the same year they released their first album. They moved to Prescott, Ariz., in 2008, set up their dream home and anticipated a happy retirement. The two later moved into a smaller place because, with Daryl’s health problems, “it became too difficult for them to take care of a bigger house,” said a source.
Up until now, there had been no indication Toni was hiding an alternative lifestyle. But during a 2007 press interview, she raised eyebrows when she stated the couple did not sleep together. She was quoted as saying that their home had “two of everything. Two bathrooms, two bedrooms, two TVs… We’ve been doing that for 30 years.”
But Toni’s divorce papers – filed on Jan. 16 – state: “There is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation.” A neighbor told The ENQUIRER: “Rumors abound around town that Toni might be gay. In fact, in all the years she’s been here, I’ve never seen her out and about with Daryl. It’s always been with a woman. Once I saw her at a Mexican restaurant, and she had her arm slung around the back of the chair of this attractive, younger blonde woman. The ENQUIRER attempted to speak with Toni – who is still living with Daryl – and to the lady that bloggers identified as Toni’s “other woman,” but both refused to comment.
However, Daryl – who is bedridden from the nerve disease and recovering from recent neck surgery – told The ENQUIRER he is devastated over the split.
“This divorce was Toni’s idea,” he said. “I can’t figure it out. She says she’s divorcing me for ‘spiritual reasons.’ But she also says over time her philosophical beliefs have changed and that OUR values have changed. But she hasn’t been any clearer than that. Despite this, I still love Toni. We are not planning on selling the home, but things are changing by the day. It is frightening.”

Former Wamer Music exec Danielle D Smith was arrested on first degree… for embezzling more than 1 million from Warner Music Group.
Smith worked in the urban music division in Burbank and was assigned the position of arranging travel and scouting new talent for the label, instead she raked up over 1.3 million in charges on the company credit card which included luxury vacations and rooms for herself. She resigned from WMG in 2011 amidst allegations of fraud.
She flew to New York this week to turn herself in and her mother accompanied her putting up her retirement fund to bail her daughter out.
