Houston Astros Are World Series Champions, Beating Los Angeles Dodgers
The Houston Astros won the 2017 World Series, beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 in Game 7 at Dodger Stadium.
After six innings, the Houston Astros lead the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 in Game 7 of the World Series at Dodger Stadium.
The Dodgers squandered multiple opportunities to score after the Astros took a 5-0 lead after two innings.
Los Angeles finally got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Dodgers had runners on first and second with no outs, on a single by left fielder Joc Pederson and a walk by second baseman Logan Forsythe. But they managed to get only one run on pinch-hit single by Andre Ethier, scoring Pederson.
The Astros got off to a fast start in the top of the first inning taking a 2-0 lead on a lead-off double by center fielder George Springer. He scored when third baseman Alex Bregman was safe at second on a throwing error by Dodgers first baseman Cody Bellinger. Bregman then scored on second baseman Jose Altuve's RBI ground out.
The Dodgers responded immediately in the bottom of the first with their own lead-off double by center fielder Cody Bellinger. An out later, third baseman Justin Turner was hit by a pitch from Astros starter Lance McCullers. With two runners on and two out, McCullers then hit right fielder Yasiel Puig, loading the bases. But L.A. didn't score.
In the top of the second, the Astros increased their lead, starting with a lead-off walk by catcher Brian McCann and a double by left fielder Marwin Gonzalez. McCann scored on McCullers' RBI ground out and then Springer homered to center. The Astros led 5-0.
The Dodgers put their lead-off hitter, second baseman Logan Forsythe, on base with a single and when pinch-hitter Enrique Hernandez was hit by yet another McCullers pitch it looked like the Dodgers could strike. But Chris Taylor hit into a double play, killing another opportunity to score.
In the bottom of the third, the Dodgers had two runners on and no outs after a single by shortstop Corey Seager and McCullers hit Turner for the second time. But for the third consecutive inning, the Dodgers came up empty.
Dodgers ace starter Clayton Kershaw was brought in as a reliever in the third inning. He pitched 4 scoreless innings.
Game 7 will answer the original questions posed by this Series between the champions of baseball's American and National leagues: Will the Los Angeles Dodgers win their first title since 1988? The drama from the infamous comment that Nene Leakes made to a heckler a few weeks ago seemed to have been winding down. Up until yesterday, it appeared that people were ready to let go of what happened. However, when the housewife posted a photo speaking on domestic violence followers were eager to call her out and bring up the scandalous incident.
Since Leakes told a woman at a comedy show hosting that she hoped that she would get “raped” by her Uber driver on the way home, her public persona has been being attacked left and right.
From getting dropped from the Xscape tour to rumors swirling that she could be getting the boot from “Real Housewives of Atlanta” so soon after her triumphant return — the reality star can’t seem to catch a break.
Although she has apologized and spoken out about how strong of a woman she is, it’s clear that the public may never see her the same way again.
On October 28, the Broadway star posted a photo of her in a shirt that read ‘Phenomenal Woman’ in support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The caption that was uploaded along with the picture read: “I’ve been through a lot of things in my life (THROUGH is the keyword) October is #DomesticViolence Awareness Month. 1 in 5 American women will become a victim. That’s not including the millions of children that are exposed to domestic violence every year. We have a lot of work left to do. Some were quick to bring up the situation that made headlines everywhere.

Why would Chrisette Michele Posts Another Woman's Miscarriage Photo on Instagram?
A few days ago, Chrisette Michele took to social media to reveal some pretty personal information in an effort to let her fans know that she’s still a Strong Black Woman in spite of it all.
The singer revealed she was suicidal, she was dropped from her label and she suffered a miscarriage.
I had a long cycle. Something came out of me. It was my child. The one my love and I worked so hard on.
I never knew I could allow myself to be so broken that my physical body would break down. A miscarriage? Me?
This experience of a broken nation showed itself in my own physical body. That was when I knew I had to pull it together. Heal, Forgive. Just because I had a negative experience didn’t mean I had to become negative and broken.

In addition to her heartbreaking revelation, she also posted a graphic photo of her alleged miscarriage.
It didn’t take long before the Internet Task Force discovered the photo Chrisette posted as her miscarriage actually belongs to another woman who posted it on a Baby Center community board three years ago.
While writing this post, I did a quick Google search of “miscarriage photos” and low and behold the photo Chrisette Michele used was the first one in the results.
I don’t understand why she felt it was necessary to post such a graphic photo on social media, but the learn the photo belongs to another woman who suffered a great loss is inexcusable.
Wendy Williams’ staffers are worried about her health after her tumble on LIVE TV!
There are fears for Wendy Williams’ health after she fainted on live TV on Tuesday.
The host — dressed in a Statue of Liberty costume for Halloween — was seen on her show looking disoriented and having trouble reading her teleprompter. Then, a look of terror crossed her face and she staggered backward and collapsed.
The show cut to a long commercial break before Williams came back on the air and told the audience, “That was not a stunt. I’m overheated in my costume and I did pass out. But you know what? I’m a champ and I’m back.”
She continued the show, and before signing off she asked, “Is that the end of the show? Was I passed out that long?!”
A show insider said staffers are worried about Williams, following a report that her husband, Kevin Hunter, cheated on her with 32-year-old massage therapist Sharina Hudson, which they both strongly denied.
The insider said, “Wendy has become very thin recently, and the show staff wonders if she is under a lot of personal stress.”
A September report claimed that Hunter and Hudson have been hooking up for a decade, and that Hunter moved her into a secluded $765,000 home just miles away from his home with Williams. She addressed the rumors on her show, telling the audience, “It’s weird being a hot topic. In a weird kind of way . . . I love the attention . . . You can believe what you want. I stand by my guy. We commuted together this morning. The paparazzi were outside catching me in the cutest negligee.”
Her rep Ronn Torossian said at the time, “One plus one does not equal three.”
As for her medical scare, Torossian insisted she was suffering from the ubiquitous showbiz affliction “dehydration.”
He said in a statement, “Ms. Williams fainted on-air this morning. She is dehydrated and is on her way home for a good day and night of sleep. She has been examined by medical professionals and is well. She is OK, and will continue shows as planned.
He added, “She has never missed a day of work.”

A child’s life is hanging in the balance in Atlanta because of a hospital’s cruel decision. AJ Dickerson, 2, was born without kidneys and is medically fragile. It was determined that his father, Anthony Dickerson, was a perfect match and plans were made to transplant his left kidney to his son. But because of a parole violation, Emory Hospital in Atlanta changed its mind to go forward with the transplant procedure. The hospital sent a letter to the family that stated, “The Living Donor Transplant Team at Emory has asked Mr. Dickerson for evidence of compliance from his parole officer for the next three months. We will re-evaluate Mr. Dickerson in January 2018 after receipt of his completed documentation.”
But Baby AJ can’t wait until January 2018; he is now fighting for his life. This morning, noted Atlanta attorney Mawuli Davis announced that Baby AJ has taken a turn for the worse. According to Davis:
“The family of ‘Baby AJ’ Burgess is en route the emergency room and asks for prayers from the community as Baby AJ battles a peritonitis infection. AJ is waiting for kidney transplant surgery but his father, who is his perfect match donor, has been denied the opportunity to donate his kidney to expedite the process of transplanting a new kidney. The family is desperate for help to save Baby AJ’s life and is asking for assistance from anyone who may be able to expedite the process of transplanting a new kidney.”

Though the legendary Michael Jackson died eight years ago, he still seems to be generating loads of cash.
Forbes reports that Jackson is at the top of the list for highest earning dead celebrities for the fifth consecutive year at $75 million. According to the publication, Jackson has received a spike in earnings due to a new compilation album, the Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil show and a stake in the EMI music publishing catalog.
Golf icon Arnold Palmer is second on the list at $40 million, mostly due to sales of the Arizona lemonade and ice tea beverage named after him.
Others that joined Jackson on the list are none other than #ElvisPresley, who came in at fourth place with $35 million, and Bob Marley at fifth place with $23 million.

Jeremy Piven Denies Accusations of Sexual Assault by Former Reality Star
Jeremy Piven is denying accusations of sexual assault by actress and former reality star Ariane Bellamar. In a series of tweets, Bellamar explained her alleged encounters with Piven on the set of Entourage and at the Playboy Mansion.
“Hey @jeremypiven! ‘Member when you cornered me in your trailer on the #Entourage set? ‘Member grabbing my boobies on the [couch emoji] without asking??” the former Beverly Hills Nannies star tweeted on Monday, October 30. “‘Member when I tried to leave; you grabbed me by the ass, looked at yourself in the mirror, & said what a ‘beautiful couple’ we made? #MeToo.”
Bellamar’s allegations against the Entourage star come after a movement started on social media to speak up against sexual assault with the hashtag “#MeToo” in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
“I unequivocally deny the appalling allegations being peddled about me,” Piven said in a statement to Us Weekly. “It did not happen. It takes a great deal of courage for victims to come forward with their histories, and my hope is that the allegations about me that didn’t happen, do not detract from stories that should be heard.”
