#MAGFAB: Shania Twain for InStyle Magazine
Shania Twain covers InStyle’s ‘Everybody’s In’ special issue photographed by Danielle Levitt and styled by Chris Horan.
About recovering from surgery: “After I had the surgery, I was petrified to make a sound. I didn’t know what was going to come out.”

“It did scare me, but I just had to take the leap and make a sound. And I was so excited about what came out. It was a connection to the vocal cords and it came out very easily. I was really, really, really excited.”
What nearly losing her voice has taught her: “It’s a reminder, don’t take time for granted. Don’t take the opportunity for granted. It’s possible I might lose it, that it may not last. I guess any prosthetic or support that you get that is synthetic, your body still may give out around it. It could happen.”

About her new voice: “It’s easier for me to make loud sounds than it is to make soft sounds,” she says of the shift and how she adapted to the changes, which include Gore-Tex rods to stabilize her throat from what she called “flanging” and a lack of control. “When the air is dry, it’s harder to get that resonance. When I’m loud, it happens, which was the opposite problem before I got the surgery.”

“I’m just not as worried as I was when I was younger. I’m a professional. I want things to be great. I want to be as perfect as I can be as a professional, but I’m not a perfect person. I sound different. I look different and I’m OK with that. I’m fearless in that way and that motivates me.”

The sound of her new album: “It’s more rhythmic in a lot of ways. That is very new to me, to the broadness of my recording style so far,” she says. “There’s a lot more ‘get up and want to shake your body’ kind of thing. There’s still some stomp in there, though. It’s almost like everything is there, but a new dimension. I just really want to get up and dance to it myself.”
The unique origins of her song “Inhale/Exhale Air”: “I wrote that song right after I had a very bad battle with COVID, and my lungs were filling up with COVID pneumonia and I was losing my air. I survived it, but it was iffy,” she explains, adding that the simple video clip and a breathing exercise evolved into a song. “This minister, he just starts breathing in through his nose, out through his mouth. And I’m like, ‘I still identify with this.’ And he’s like, ‘Air.’ He says, ‘Air. What are you going to do with it?’ What are you going to do with it? It’s free, it’s there, don’t take it for granted. I celebrated it by writing a song about it.”

Why she values mentoring other artists: “Artists will ask for advice or will share stories and I feel a little bit like an aunt in a way. It sort of makes me feel auntie-ish, which I like. I enjoy it. I’m a nurturing person and I like to share my experiences,” she says of putting her heartache and successes alike out for everyone to see. “I’ve gone through them, so what good are they if I can’t pass them on or share them? It’s like dying with a good recipe. It’s a shame. Nobody wants to keep that for themselves. I enjoy passing any of it on.”

#RHOA: Kenya Moore Says She's 'Come a Long Way' After Abandonment by Mom Who 'Pretended That She Never Had a Child'
Kenya Moore wants to heal the wounds of her own childhood for her daughter's benefit.
In an exclusive preview of Wednesday's FOX's boot camp-style reality competition Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, Moore speaks about the issues she had with her biological mother in the past — and how they've made her a better mom in the present.

"I think I've come a long way from where I used to be," says Moore, 51. Speaking of her Brooklyn, whom she shares with ex Marc Daly, she continues: "My daughter — she's 3, and she's just the world to me. I had her very late in life, but I wanted to be the type of mom to my daughter that I never had."

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star appears to be in the middle of a trying moment on Special Forces when she's hooded and brought into an interrogation room to be grilled about her "angry, aggressive, petty, vindictive" RHOA persona.

Moore defends herself, saying her upbringing ingrained her with a feeling "like I always have a target on my back."
"I had teenage parents," she explains. "My mom didn't want to have me, so my grandmother asked if she could have me. After that, my mother kind of pretended that she never had a child. It just got worse and worse."

She tears up as she adds, "I was just angry."
Despite emotional interrogations and rigorous physical challenges (which have even driven more than one of Moore's fellow contestants to exit due to injury), the former Miss USA winner still finds some aspects of Special Forces preferable to Housewives.

When asked recently whether enduring military drills or navigating a RHOA vacation was more challenging, she didn't miss a beat: "100 percent — this answer will shock you — a Housewives trip [is harder]."

#HipHopNews: Azealia Banks Trashes Kanye West In New Interview
Azealia Banks is going off on Kanye West again. In a new interview with The Guardian, the “212” rapper sounds off on Ye in the wake of his anti-Semitic and racist rhetoric.

“I feel like Kanye has made it so garbage to be an entertainer with any opinion,” she says. “If anybody was ever praying for Azealia Banks to finally shut the f**k up, Kanye has provided the platform.”

Banks, who has collaborated with West on unreleased music, says her problems with him began in 2020 after he said during a presidential campaign rally that he and Kim Kardashian had considered aborting their daughter North West.

“You’re a fu**ing idiot for basically sacrificing the mental health of your daughter,” she says. “Just because you can’t get attention from Kim Kardashian, you turn it on your fu**ing daughter. Kanye, you’re an abusive asshole and you’re a pussy for picking on that little-ass girl. You are the last person we need to hear from about Black fatherhood and the Black family unit.”

Banks, who now resides in Miami, claims she saw a cruel streak in Ye when she first worked with him a decade ago. At the time, he was starting to date Kardashian.

“To meet him and hear him talk shit about Kim Kardashian it gave me a little bit of glee, because you’re young, and you’re dumb, and you don’t get it yet,” she recalls. “When you’re getting all this messaging from hip-hop that you are exactly the type of Black woman that it doesn’t want, and then you meet someone that you like, because the music is so good, and he’s like: ‘I hate this white bitch’ – you’re like: ‘Yesss!'”

But she later realized how naive she had been. “As time goes on, it’s like: ‘Wait, you hated my Black ass, too! You hate all women!'”

She went on to address Ye’s anti-Semitic remarks and praise of Hitler. “Kanye, did you know that the Bible was the very book used to enslave your dumb ass? Have you ever read the Bible? I’m sure you haven’t. ‘Oh, Hitler was a good guy’ – do you think Hitler liked negroes? It’s way past shock culture and just into stupidity. You deserve to reap what you sow.”

Banks doesn’t see a road to redemption for the embattled Yeezy mogul. “I would hope not – because you have had it very fu**ed up for a very long time,” she adds. “In the future, when you’re walking down Times Square and you see Kanye West drinking flat Sprite out of a McDonald’s cup out of the garbage can, you can bring it all back to this moment.”

Ye even influenced her decision not to release her Hanukkah song “Queen of Sheba,” claiming he “fu**ed it up” with his anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.

Now signed to Parlophone, Banks is getting ready to drop her comeback single “New Bottega,” and is confident that it will put her back on the charts.

“I genuinely feel like, 13 years in, ‘New Bottega’ might be my Hot 100 debut,” she says. “Even if that bitch debuts at 99, I’mma be like ‘A-ha-ha-ha-ha, bitch.”

Kim Kardashian Is Reportedly Dating Meek Mill
Kim Kardashian seemingly has found new love. After splitting from Pete Davidson, the former "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star is now dating hip-hop star Meek Mill, Media Take Out reports.

The news outlet claims that the reality TV star and the Philadelphia emcee's relationship has turned romantic. One music executive allegedly spills to the site, "Kim and Meek have been in contact. I was with him [last week] and he was texting her. I don't know what it was about but he was acting like it was personal."

Another entertainment insider echoes the story. The source says that the SKIMS founder and the "All Eyes on You" rapper are set to attend a number of high profile events, and the alleged lovebirds may likely be going together. "Kim and Meek are both booked for the Super Bowl, and both will be attending the Oscars after party," the source adds.
The insider, however, isn't sure if the two stars will be attending the event "as a couple." The informant explains, "Meek typically doesn't go to the Oscars - but Kim's team made it possible for him to attend."

The site further pulls out more receipts to prove their romantic relationship. It points out that Kim took an unexpected trip on her private jet to Philadelphia on Wednesday, January 18. After tracking her jet, which is named Kim Air and owned by her LLC Noel Air, the site confirms that it flew on an unknown trip from New York City to Philadelphia on Wednesday and Meek was in the city at the time.

Meek and Kim indeed have history as the reality TV star's ex-husband Kanye West previously suggested that the mom of his four kids cheated on him with Meek. The Yeezy designer made the accusation on Twitter during what appeared to be a bipolar meltdown back in July 2020. At the time, he revealed he had been "trying to divorce" Kim since 2018 due to the alleged fling.

"I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek (Mill) at the Warldolf for 'prison reform' (sic)," he wrote. In his apparent response to the accusations, Meek denied the affair in a cryptic post. "S**t is cappp (lies) cmon...," he wrote on Twitter.

Sha'Carri Richardson claims American Airlines attendant threatened and harassed her
Track star Sha’Carri Richardson’s vacation plans hit a snag on Saturday (Jan. 21) while onboard an American Airlines flight. She said a male flight attendant harassed and threatened her before she was escorted off the plane.

In her Instagram Stories, Richardson explained she was on a call as flight attendants began to go through their safety demonstrations. The male attendant, whom she identified as John, allegedly asked her to end the call. She obliged, but their interaction continued to escalate.

Richardson wrote, “I stated to him [that] I didn’t like the tone he used with me. Following that, while standing in front of me doing the safety protocols, he continued to lean over to look at my phone. He asked to see that my phones were in airplane mode. At this point, he demanded that [I] show him, which I did in front of him.”

Additional footage of the ordeal showed the sprinter recording herself as she talked about being on vacation. For a brief moment, John entered the frame but quickly moved behind a curtain as he uttered something to Richardson. She responded, “I’m recording me, but you jumped in my video, so I caught you because you jumped in my video. You’re harassing me at this point, so I think you should stop. I think you should stop.”

The 23-year-old managed to maintain a calm approach to the turmoil until a male passenger interjected to call her selfish for causing him to miss his connecting flight. She claimed another passenger later took a jab at her 2021 Tokyo Olympics ban. Other nearby passengers also grew frustrated as they suggested she stop arguing with the flight’s staff.

When Richardson posted the recording to her page, she questioned if she should take legal action against the airline and if the outcome would have been different if she were white. “Tell me if I’ll be wrong to pursue legal actions against the airline @americanair. Not only did the man threaten me but also an innocent bystander who simply just wanted a picture with me,” she wrote. In the caption, she also mentioned, “I’m pretty serious; the disrespect I received would not have happened if I was one of them… If I can help just one person not have to deal with a situation like this with an individual like this, I’ll take the heat.”

The post gained support from numerous social media users, including pro football player Odell Beckham, Jr., who had a similar unpleasant encounter where he too was escorted off of an American Airlines flight earlier this month. He commented, “Tell me [you] got kicked off the American flight for no reason” and “Whaaaat, but I’m the a**hole.”

#BoxOfficeNews: 'Avatar' marks 6 straight weeks at No. 1, crosses $2 Billion
James Cameron's “Avatar: The Way of Water” led ticket sales in movie theaters for the sixth straight weekend, making it the first film to have such a sustained reign atop the box office since 2009's “Avatar."

The Walt Disney Co.’s “The Way of Water” added $19.7 million in U.S. and Canadian theaters over the weekend, according to studio estimates Sunday. Its global total has now surpassed $2 billion, putting it sixth all-time and just ahead of “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” Domestically, “The Way of Water” is up to $598 million. Continued robust international sales ($56.3 million for the weekend) has helped push the “Avatar” sequel to $2.024 billion worldwide.

A year ago, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” also topped the box office for six weekends, but did it over the course of seven weeks. You have to go back to Cameron's original “Avatar” to find a movie that stayed No. 1 for such a long span. ("Avatar" ultimately topped out at seven weeks.) Before that, the only film in the past 25 years to manage the feat was another Cameron film; “Titanic” (1997) went undefeated for 15 weeks.

“The Way of Water” has now reached a target that Cameron himself set for the very expensive sequel. Ahead of its release, Cameron said becoming “the third or fourth highest-grossing film in history” was “your break even."

The box-office domination for “The Way of Water” has been aided, in part, by a dearth of formidable challengers. The only new wide release from a major studio on the weekend was the thriller “Missing," from Sony's Screen Gems and Stage 6 Films. A low-budget sequel to 2018's “Searching," starring Storm Reid as a teenager seeking her missing mother, “Missing” plays out across computer screens. The film, budgeted at $7 million, debuted with $9.3 million.

January is typically a slow period in theaters, but a handful of strong-performing holdovers have helped prop up sales.

Though it didn't open hugely in December, Universal Pictures' “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” has had long legs as one of the only family options in theaters over the last month. In its fifth week, it came in second place with $11.5 million domestically and $17.8 million overseas. The “Puss in Boots" sequel has grossed $297.5 million globally.

The creepy doll horror hit “M3gan,” also from Universal, has likewise continued to pull in moviegoers. It notched $9.8 million in its third week, bringing its domestic haul to $73.3 million.

And while the popularity of horror titles in theaters is nothing new, Sony Pictures' “A Man Called Otto," starring Tom Hanks, has flourished in a marketplace that's been trying for adult-oriented dramas. The film, a remake of the Swedish film “A Man Called Ove,” about a retired man whose suicide plans are continually foiled by his neighbors, made $9 million in its second week of wide release. It's taken in $35.3 million domestically through Sunday.

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Comscore. Final domestic figures will be released Monday.

1. "Avatar: The Way of Water," $19.7 million.
2. “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish,” $11.5 million.
3. “M3gan,” $9.8 million
4. “Missing,” $9.3 million.
5. “A Man Called Otto,” $9 million.
6. “Plane,” $5.3 million.
7. “House Party,” $1.8 million.
8. “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime The Movie,” $1.5 million.
9. “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” $1.4 million.
10. “The Whale,” $1.3 million.

Brooke Shields Shares Why She Waited Until Now To Reveal The Details Of Her Rape in 'Pretty Baby' Documentary
Brooke Shields is getting candid about her rape in her new Pretty Baby documentary, which premiered over the weekend at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.

The actress, now 57, revealed that her sexual assault happened just after she graduated from Princeton University.

In an additional interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Brooke opened up about why she chose to go into more detail about it now.
In the the movie, Brooke revealed that it occurred in 1987, just shortly after her graduation and she was struggling to find acting work. She then turned to an acquaintance to discuss a possible movie role (via Parade).

“I thought it was a work meeting,” she explained in the documentary. “I had met this person before and he was always nice to me.”

However, during their dinner meeting, “his behavior was changing and there was no talk about the movie.”

Brooke then shared that after their dinner concluded, she was ready to call a cab and go home. However, the acquaintance suggested that they go to his hotel room for more discussion.

“I go up to his hotel room and he disappears for a while,” she recalled, before revealing that once he came back into the room, he was naked and threw himself on her. “It was like wrestling. I was afraid I would get choked out or something, I didn’t know. I played the scene out in my head, so I didn’t fight that much. … I just absolutely froze. I just thought, ‘Stay alive and get out.’ ”

As the assault and rape happened, Brooke “just shut it out, and God knows I knew how to be dissociated from my body. I practiced that (as a model).”

Speaking with THR at the premiere over the weekend, Brooke touched on the rape reveal in the film, and shared why she chose to share her experience in the doc.

“I did not know if or when or if at all I was ever going to bring this up,” she said. “It has taken me many years of therapy to even be able to talk about it. I definitely have worked very hard through it, and I’ve learned to process it.”

Brooke went on, saying that she’s now “come to a place, and we’ve come to a time in our society, where we can talk about these things much more openly. I had no idea I was going to say it.”

“I thought, I have arrived at this place, and I feel as a mother of two young girls that I hope that just by even hearing my incident that I can add myself to becoming an advocate,” she added. “Because this is something that does happen every day, and it should not be happening. I felt that I had arrived at a place where I could talk about it. It’s taken me a long time.”

Nia Long shuts down Omarion dating rumors: I’m ‘single AF’
Nia Long is shutting down internet buzz that she’s dating former B2K member Omarion.
“Everybody simmer down,” she commented on a Shade Room video of herself and Omarion holding hands on the red carpet of her new movie “You People” Tuesday.

“I’m single AF,” the actress, 52, added.
At the premiere of the film, which stars Jonah Hill and Eddie Murphy, Long and Omarion were photographed hand-in-hand and hugging each other.
Long wore a stunning form-fitting white gown, while Omarion, 38, dressed more casually in a beige oversized sweatshirt, camo sweatpants and black combat boots.

The video showed the pair posing for photos together before she grabbed his hand to head down the carpet.
Long split from Ime Udoka in December following the Boston Celtics coach’s affair scandal with a female staffer, which led to his suspension from the league.

They are “no longer together but remain fully committed to co-parenting their son [Kez],” a rep for Long said at the time, with a source telling People, “The situation is unfortunate and painful, but Nia is focusing on her children and rebuilding her life.”

3LW singer hooked up with three members of B2K at the same time
Bump, bump, bump.
Kiely Williams is giving fans insight into her early “hoe days,” admitting that she slept with three of four members of B2K — Lil’ Fizz, J Boog and Raz B — at the same time.

The topic of the former 3LW singer’s past came up during an interview with producer Carlos King, who asked if William ever dated Raz B.

“’Date’ is a loose word,” the 36-year-old replied. “I wouldn’t give that definition. I think I said ‘entanglement.’ With all of them except for [Omarion].”
While her response took King by surprise, the “Playas Gon’ Play” singer said she is not ashamed of her past.”

“I’m grown, I can admit it. Everybody has their hoe days. Let them have ’em! We’ll look back on them days when we’re older and be like, ‘Yeah. I was out there thot, thot, thottin’,” she said.

King then inquired if her X-rated rendevous happened “at the same damn time” with all three musicians, to which she confessed, “Only one time.”
“That’s only a one-time thing. Look, everybody has to make mistakes,” she added.

The “Cheetah Girls” star then acknowledged how the interview will become viral due to her racy statements.
“I love that that’s going to be the headline: ‘Kiely’s a Slut.’ Yes, that’ll be a new one for me,” she quipped.

J Boog, Raz B and Lil’ Fizz have not responded to Williams’ allegations and the group’s lead singer, Omarion, was not part of the “entanglement.”
Williams rose to fame in the late ’90s when she joined Naturi Naughton and Adrienne Bailon to form the girl group 3LW. They garnered four Billboard Hot 100 hits, including “No More (Baby I’ma Do Right)” and “Playas Gon’ Play.”

While the group was making waves on the charts, drama began brewing between the three girls, causing the band to split in 2002.

That same year, Naughton revealed that an argument involving Williams’ mom and a food fight led to 3LW’s demise.
“There was an argument between me and [her mom], and Kiely and Adrienne are cursing me out. And before I know it, Kiely throws her plate of food all in my face — mashed potatoes, macaroni all in my hair, down my clothes, messing up my [hair]do!” she told MTV News in 2002.

The “Queens” alum, 38, added, “Nobody has the right to hit me. That’s not what I’m here for … to be physically abused. So I said, ‘Get me a flight back to Newark, New Jersey,’ and they wouldn’t even help me get a ticket.”

Despite how their group ended, Williams and Bailon went on to form the Cheetah Girls with Sabrina Ryan in 2003. Raven-Symoné was also part of the band, joining the ladies for vocals on their soundtrack albums.

Dallas Airbnb Host Denies Gay Couple From Booking A Stay
A Dallas Airbnb host is currently under investigation after they reportedly denied a gay couple from booking a stay.
Curtis Kimberlin Jr exposed the host’s response when he told them that he and his boyfriend will be booking the stay for a wedding on January 7th. He writes, ‘Hi Peter! My partner and I will be flying into town for a weekend wedding and we’re really excited. It’ll be my first time in Texas and my parter is from Dallas, so he’ll be showing me around. We will be flying in Thursday night and landing at Lovefield at 7 pm then make our way over.’ He further explained that they will be out of the Airbnb for most of Friday to check out the area and Saturday for the wedding.
In response, the host Peter asked him ‘So I’ll be hosting two men sleeping together…right?’ Kimberlin said the host denied his request to book shortly after and explained to NBC 5 that he was stunned by the host’s reaction but is used to hiding his sexuality from conservatives.
“I was shocked for sure, but I am also somewhat used to having to hide certain parts of myself to calm conservative folks’ reactions to my identities. I wasn’t completely surprised, more so disappointed.”

After posting the tweet, his followers requested Airbnb to suspend Peter for denying the couple based on his personal views and Airbnb said in response that he is currently under investigation during his suspension. Hilton Hotels offered the couple a stay after learning about the viral tweet.
Kimberlin and his boyfriend accepted free accommodations from Hilton and said they were pleased with the customer service. The couple is still planning to visit Dallas for the wedding amid the news of the host’s suspension.

Mother Of R&B Singer Sammie Charged With Second Degree Murder In Random Shooting Of Florida Mom Of Two
According to new reports, 56 year old Angila Denise Baxter, the mother of R&B singer Sammie Bush, has been charged with second degree murder in the fatal and random shooting of a Florida mom of two.
Mother Of R&B Singer Sammie Charged With Second Degree Murder In Random Shooting Of Florida Mom Of Two
It’s reported that on Tuesday (January 17), officials with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Baxter and charged her in the January 12 shooting death of a woman named Nekaybaw Collier.

Reports say Baxter allegedly shot a firearm at random cars and vehicles passing her across different parts of Orlando.

An arrest affidavit shows Baxter shot at or into at least three vehicles (across Orlando), one of them being a black 2015 Mercedes Benz, belonging to Collier — who was struck by a single bullet in her left abdomen.
Police found her in her wrecked car on North Powers Drive and rushed her to a hospital, where she later died.

According to Collier’s husband, Kevin Moore, she was on a grocery run, just a mile away from her home. He says, “My younger daughter thinks mommy is coming back from the store. It’s hard to explain that to a child.”

Police claim Baxter told them that she believed she was being followed by multiple people — and that was why she began firing off round after round at various cars and people passing her by.

It is also alleged that Baxter suffers from mental health issues. After being interviewed by detectives, Baxter did admit to firing her weapon, but claimed that she did not know Collier or the owners of the other cars she hit.
Police say they have a witness who not only identified Baxter, in a photo lineup, as the person “shooting at cars,” but the witness claims she was also “screaming expletives at random people in the area.”

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has since issued a statement following the death of Collier. They said, “We extend our deepest condolences to Nekaybaw’s family for the senseless killing of this young mother, wife, and daughter.”
A GoFundMe account has since been set up for Collier, in her memory and to help cover the costs of her memorial and funeral expenses, and help support her two daughters and family.

At the time of publishing, the donation page for Collier has raised over $9,800 of its $50,000 goal.

The GFM page, created by Deshema McCoy, describes Collier as “a beautiful soul who would have given the shirt off of her back to care for the people that she loved. She was kind, caring, smart, talented, and beautiful.”

Feds Say Theranos Fraudster Elizabeth Holmes Tried to Flee the U.S. After Conviction
Disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes may have tried to flee the country after her 2022 fraud conviction.
According to a new court filing obtained by Rolling Stone, prosecutors allege the 38-year-old convict had booked a one-way flight to Mexico departing on Jan. 26 of last year. Authorities say they learned about the unauthorized trip just weeks after Holmes was found guilty of defrauding investors of nearly $145 million, raising suspicion she had no intentions of returning to the U.S. to face sentencing.

“Only after the government raised this unauthorized flight with defense counsel was the trip canceled,” the filing read. “The government anticipates Defendant will note in reply that she did not in fact leave the country as scheduled—but it is difficult to know with certainty what Defendant would have done had the government not intervened.”

Prosecutors also pointed out that Holmes’ husband, Billy Evans, had left the country on the same day as the aforementioned Mexico flight, and did not return for several weeks.
Holmes’ attorney, Lance Wade, insisted his client had booked the tickets prior to the verdict, but failed to cancel or inform the feds about the trip.

“The hope was that the verdict would be different and Ms. Holmes would be able to make this trip to attend the wedding of close friends in Mexico,” Wade wrote in a letter submitted last year. “Given the verdict, she does not plan to take the trip — and therefore did not provide notice, seek permission, or request access to her passport (which the government has) for the trip. But she also had not yet cancelled the trip, amidst everything that has been going on. We will have her do so promptly.”

Homes was sentenced to 11 years in prison for her role in the Theranos scandal. The D.C. native was accused of deceiving investors about the company’s blood-testing technology, ultimately racking in $945 million from moguls like Rupert Murdoch, Betsy DeVos, and Larry Ellison.

“There are not two systems of justice — one for the wealthy and one for the poor — there is one criminal justice system in this country,” prosecutors wrote in the filing, adding it was time for Theranos founder to answer for her crimes.

Holmes is scheduled to turn herself into custody on April 27.

Black Eyed Peas Sue Toymaker For Unauthorized Use Of Turning “My Humps” Into “My Poops”
There has been a lot of discussion in the media recently regarding the unauthorized use of another’s art. From accusations that the Lensa app used artists’ works without permission to Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene using Dr. Dre‘s music in a political video, patent and copyright law is shaping up to be a major issue in 2023. Now, the Black Eyed Peas have entered the fight with a lawsuit against toymaker MGA Entertainment, the makers of the Poopsie Slime Surprise toy, used the group’s 2006 hit “My Humps” without permission.

The lawsuit was filed by the group’s label, BMG, in the U.S. District Court in Manhattan. Amongst other things, it alleges that MGA Entertainment displayed “willful copyright infringement” and “exploited, without authorization” the group’s art as part of its promotional campaign for its “Poopsie Slime Surprise” product line, which featured “a unicorn doll that excretes sparkling slime.” BMG is seeking $10 million in damages, as well as requiring that MGA destroy all copies of “My Poops.”

A YouTube video shows animated unicorns dancing to digitally-altered lyrics where they showcase the toy’s “pooping” features.
Legal experts state that MGA’s primary defense will be that the song was used as a parody, since using art for the purpose of parody is protected by free speech law. However, there are legal limits when it comes to whether or not MGA exploited the song to make a profit.

“My Humps” was a major hit for the group in 2006 and continues to remain popular today, accruing over 700 million views on YouTube. The video also won Best Hip Hop Video at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards.

Fat Joe Reveals He Lost A $20 Million Deal … Thanks to His Beef with 50 Cent
*Fat Joe’s new memoir, “The Book of Jose,” is in the offing, and with some interesting revelations. He spares some pages to talk about his beef with 50 Cent and what it cost him.
Joe writes about a critical call he received from Michael Jordan in the days he had tension with 50. The call followed a near-confrontation he had with Fif while they were set to appear at the Vido Music Awards in Miami.

He writes that Fiddy’s G-unit was “extra thick that year” and that apart from the group’s other rappers, such as Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and Young Buck, 50 Cent had also just signed Mobb Deep. Furthermore, Ma$e was also tagging behind with “some extra muscle.”

Joe adds, “Halfway through the show, I went out on the stage to give Missy Elliott an award. What the audience at home didn’t see was that during the commercial break beforehand, 50 Cent got out of his seat and started walking around the house.

Joe adds: “He went up to the audience in the cheap seats and started waving to me. It was like he was daring me to get off the stage and physically confront him. Then he went down to the floor and started slapping fives with Jay-Z and Diddy.”

By the time the commercial ended, 50 Cent had wandered on stage and was just a step away from Joe for some time.

“I was saying to myself, Okay, we’re about to fight. We’re about to get it on right here at the VMAs,” recalls Joe. “When the show came back on—this is live TV, mind you—he went back to his seat. The G-Unit started yelling at me while I’m reading off the teleprompter. The Terror Squad, offstage in the wings, started barking back. That’s when I dropped my jab: ‘I feel safe with all the police protection courtesy of G-Unit.’”

50 Cent was displeased by the jab. After Joe and his Terror Squad were gone, 50 Cent took to the stage to perform some of his best hits back then. He also performed Tony Yayo’s “So Seductive,” after which he said, “Fat Joe is p*ssy, man. P*ssy boy. F*ck boy.”

As tension flared between Joe and 50 Cent, the former had a meeting with Jordan brand a few days later. A discussion had been going on for some time, and Joe was set to be the face of a new shoe named “Fat Joe Jordan.”
However, after the Miami showdown, Michael Jordan himself phoned Joe to break the bad news that the deal couldn’t proceed, citing his beef with 50 Cent as the reason.

Said the NBA legend to Joe, “You know I love you, Big Joe, but you’re too hot right now. I wanted to do it, but I’m not into all that rap beef. With all this controversy, we can’t do the sneaker anymore.”

Joe writes that he lost over $20 million when that deal collapsed. He lost out on other endorsements as well.

Congressman George Santos Says He’s Not A Drag Queen While Addressing Viral Drag Photo: “I Was Young And Had Fun At A Festival”
Rep. George Santos addresses drag photo but rejects the label of being a drag queen.
On Saturday, TMZ caught up with Santos in a New York airport after traveling from D.C., and of course, he was greeted by the media, who had questions regarding his recent scandal.

In the video, the newly-elected New York congressman was making his way through the terminal as reporters were trying to get responses to their questions.

Santos seemed annoyed by the reporters and dismissive to what was being asked to him. However when one reporter asked about the viral drag photo, Santos laughed and said he was “just having fun.” In addition, he also clarified that he is not a drag queen.
Last week, Santos former friend Eula Rochard posted the photo of the congressman wearing women’s clothing. The image was allegedly taken in 2008 when Santos was referred to as “Kitara” while in Brazil.

Santos later denied that the image was real and said the allegations against him were “categorically false.”
“The media continues to make outrageous claims about my life while I am working to deliver results. I will not be distracted or fazed by this,” Santos said.

The drag picture is just one of the latest revelations to come to light regarding Santos. The congressman, who is openly gay, has previously sided with Florida’s Don’t Say Gay bill which forbids instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in schools. Santos has also considered himself to be apart of the Republican Party, who claims drag queens and shows are grooming children.

In addition, Santos has admitted to lying about his education, family heritage, and previous jobs. He was also accused of lying about his mother being inside of the World Trade Center on September 11th.

P. Diddy mercilessly mocked over girlfriend’s X-rated confession Calls Him Pee Diddy!
Rapper P. Diddy has been given an embarrassing nickname after his girlfriend made a very personal habit public. Warning: Graphic content.
Rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs splashed out on a double surprise for his twin daughters' 16th birthday by giving them matching Range Rovers

Just call him Pee Diddy.
Sean Combs’ girlfriend, Yung Miami, set the internet ablaze when she revealed during a drinking game with Trina that she likes her partners to urinate on her.

“Take a shot if you like golden showers. I do,” the City Girls rapper, 28, admitted on her Revolt talk show, Caresha Please, on Thursday.
“It’s fun. You know, when you’re drunk … you can pee on me in the shower,” she elaborated. “It just depends on how the night [is] flowing.”

Though Yung Miami, whose real name is Caresha Romeka Brownlee, did not disclose who has performed the sexual act on her, social media users were quick to make Diddy, 53, the butt of their jokes, giving the I’ll Be Missing You rapper the moniker Pee Diddy.

“Someone said P. Diddy is gonna be PISSED when he sees that Pee Diddy is trending omfg,” tweeted one person.
“20 days into the new year and y’all done changed Brother Love name to Pee Diddy y’all wild,” added another.
“Everything I know about Pee Diddy and Yung Miami, has been against my will,” wrote a third.

“So Pee Diddy out here giving golden showers but when Robert Kelly did it it was a problem,” tweeted a fourth fan.
Though “Pee Diddy” quickly became a trending topic on Twitter, Diddy has remained mum on the topic, opting to promote his Cîroc vodka brand on social media instead.

Diddy and Yung Miami went public with their romance in June 2022. However, the pair have since made it known that they are not in an exclusive relationship.

“He see other people outside of me, and I see people outside of him,” she told XXL in September. “I’m young. I’m dating. I’m, you know, having fun. I’m doing me. He’s doing the same thing.”
