#RHOA: Shereé’s Birthday Party Included Appearances from Cynthia, Marlo, and Her Boyfriend
SHE by Shereé? More like birthday soiree by Shereé. The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Shereé Whitfield turned 53 in style on January 2, and she celebrated the occasion with a peach-studded birthday blowout at Nobu Atlanta.

Fellow RHOA cast members past and present, including Cynthia Bailey, Sanya Richards-Ross, and Marlo Hampton (who came to the event “straight off the plane”), were on hand to shower Shereé during her “fun impromptu birthday dinner,” as was her new boyfriend, Martell Holt.

Following the sushi dinner, Shereé posted a series of photos of herself in a hot pink Versace jumpsuit celebrating with her nearest and dearest.

“I had so much love [and] fun celebrating my birthday yesterday that I didn’t get a chance to post,” the fashion designer wrote in an Instagram caption on January 3. “I had such an incredible birthday! A full day of love, pampering, great food... This year [has] started off amazing, and I can’t say enough how much I love, enjoy and appreciate being with my family, friends [and] loved ones...”
The RHOA OG opened up about her new relationship and how she was “enjoying getting to know someone” during a July appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

While she didn’t reveal her boyfriend’s identity at the time, she later confirmed to TMZ that her man is Love and Marriage: Huntsville cast member Martell Holt. She also shared that the pair had been dating for about two months already, and that he had met some of her family members and friends.

Andy Is “So Glad” Shereé “Finally Found Her Boo” Following the News That She’s Dating Martell Holt
As RHOA fans may remember, the demise of Shereé’s relationship with Tyrone Gilliams was featured on Season 14 of the show. Following his release from prison, Tyrone decided not to show up for a date with Shereé in Philadelphia, and the pair broke up shortly thereafter (though Tyrone did make it to the SHE by Shereé fashion show).

During the Season 14 reunion, Shereé opened up about finding a connection with Martell.
“He’s a nice guy,” she told host Andy Cohen and the other ladies during Part 1 of the reunion. “I’m just having fun, [and] we’re just taking it day by day.”

It looks like the pair continued to have some fun during Shereé’s birthday festivities.

#HipHopNews: Logic Announces New Album 'College Park'
Logic is back in album mode. The Maryland rapper has announced that his new album College Park will arrive on February 24. The project marks his first release since going independent.

He shared an animated trailer for his “independent debut” and revealed the star-studded guest list including RZA, Redman, Joey Bada$$, Norah Jones, Bun B, Lil Keke, Statik Selektah, Seth MacFarlane, and more.
“I love y’all and I’m making shit from the heart,” Logic told fans. “I’m loving hip-hop. I was not really feeling it for a while. I don’t really mean the music, I just mean the bullshit of the industry. But I realize now more than ever that none of that shit matters. I’ve missed you guys and I’m here and I just want to have fun and I’m so excited for College Park.”

Logic parted ways with Def Jam after releasing seven studio albums on the label, starting with 2014’s Under Pressure. His final project, Vinyl Days, dropped in June 2022. He had previously expressed his frustration with the label.

“I think for me I’ve had a relationship that’s been very up and down, but it’s been a lot of ups, it really has. I can’t sit here and just go in on Def Jam, when it’s not Def Jam, it’s major labels in general,” he told Apple Music.

College Park will be released as part of Logic’s new multi-album global partnership with BMG. “I’m just glad to move on to a place where I can be independent, and respected as an artist, and feel like I’m in control of my career,” he said while announcing the deal in July.

Buffalo Bills' Damar Hamlin has been released from the hospital, and has returned home
Bills safety Damar Hamlin was released from a Buffalo hospital on Wednesday, more than a week after he went into cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated during a game at Cincinnati, after his doctors said they completed a series of tests.

A news release from the Bills quoted Dr. Jamie Nadler as saying: "We have completed a series of tests and evaluation and in consultation with the team physicians, we are confident that Damar can be safely discharged." Nadler said Hamlin will continue his rehabilitation with the Bills.

Hamlin is going home after spending two days undergoing tests at Buffalo General Medical Center. He was transferred to Buffalo after spending last week at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where the 24-year-old from the Pittsburgh area experienced what doctors called "a remarkable recovery."
Hamlin collapsed on the field after being struck in the chest by Bengals receiver Tee Higgins while making what appeared to be a routine tackle during the first quarter of Buffalo's since-cancelled game at Cincinnati on Jan. 2.

He spent the first two days in hospital under sedation. He was awakened and able to grip people's hands at his bedside, and eventually taken off a ventilator and able to address his teammates on Friday

Mariah Carey Reportedly Wants 'Primary Custody' Of Twins With Nick Cannon
Mariah Carey is seeking primary custody of her twins with ex-husband Nick Cannon.
According to a report from RadarOnline.com, the decision comes as Cannon’s family continues to grow, with the recent arrival of his 12th child.

The couple, who married in 2008, has had an amicable joint custody arrangement since they divorced in 2014, but Carey plans to petition for primary custody of their 12-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.

“The reality of the situation is that Monroe and Moroccan are usually with Mariah anyway. Nick doesn’t see much of them,” said a source, while acknowledging that Nick is a “doting” father and tries to see his kids as much as possible.

Adds the source, “But she wants to put him on notice that he can’t just flit in and out of their lives while he attends to his other children. And she wants legal standing as the twins’ primary caregiver.”
While Carey “isn’t trying to punish Cannon,” she feels the move is best for their children.

Last month, the “Wild ‘N Out” host welcomed his 12th child, a daughter named Halo Marie, with Alyssa Scott. The couple’s first child, Zen, died from brain cancer at 5 months old.

Cannon is also a father to daughter Beautiful Zeppelin and twins Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa. Additionally, he shares a son with Bre Tiesi, a daughter with LaNisha Cole, and three children with Brittany Bell.

But despite his brood of 12, the busy father makes every effort to be present in his children’s lives.

“Contrary to popular belief, I’m probably engaged throughout my children’s day, more often than the average adult can be,” Cannon told Men’s Health. “If I’m not physically in the same city with my kids, I’m talking to them before they go to school via FaceTime and stuff. And then when I am [in the same city, I’m] driving my kids to school, like making sure I pick ’em up. All of those things, making sure [I’m there for] all extracurricular activities. I’m involved in everything from coaching to having guitar lessons with my daughter every week.”

Gwen Stefani defends Harajuku era: 'My God, I'm Japanese and I didn't know it'
Gwen Stefani's had many style iterations throughout her decades-long career, but the Harajuku era spurred backlash as critics accused her of cultural appropriation. During an interview with Allure, The Voice coach called herself a "super fan" of Japanese culture and said her relationship with the country in East Asia is innocent.

Stefani's father, who is Italian American, worked in marketing for Yamaha motorcycles. He traveled back and forth between California and Japan for 18 years.

"That was my Japanese influence and that was a culture that was so rich with tradition, yet so futuristic [with] so much attention to art and detail and discipline and it was fascinating to me," Stefani shared, while promoting her new vegan line, GXVE Beauty. As an adult, she traveled to Harajuku and was in awe of Japanese culture. "I said, 'My God, I'm Japanese and I didn't know it.'"

Allure's senior editor Jesa Marie Calaor, who's first-generation Filipina American, conducted the interview and noted Stefani's "words seemed to hang in the air between us."

"I am, you know," Stefani added.

In 2004, Stefani released her album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. which featured the song "Harajuku Girls." The entertainer hired Japanese and Japanese American backup dancers named Love, Angel, Music and Baby as part of the album's promotion. The Harajuku Lovers Tour kicked off the following year, the No Doubt singer's first solo concert tour. The Harajuku Lovers fragrance line launched in 2008 and has been part of her brand for years. Looking back at the era through a 2023 lens, it doesn't sound like Stefani finds it problematic as she was asked what she may have learned from Harajuku Lovers.

"If [people are] going to criticize me for being a fan of something beautiful and sharing that, then I just think that doesn't feel right," Stefani explained. "I think it was a beautiful time of creativity… a time of the ping-pong match between Harajuku culture and American culture."

The singer added: "[It] should be OK to be inspired by other cultures because if we're not allowed then that's dividing people, right?"

Calaor claimed Stefani asserted twice she was Japanese and once that she was "a little bit of an Orange County girl, a little bit of a Japanese girl, a little bit of an English girl." Allure's social media associate, who is Asian and Latina, was present for the 30-minute interview as well.

A representative for Stefani purportedly reached out to the magazine the next day indicating they misunderstood what the singer was trying to convey; however, the spokesperson declined to provide an on-the-record statement, per Allure. Yahoo Entertainment reached to Stefani's representative as well, but did not immediately receive a response.

Stefani has previously spoken about where she's drawn inspiration from for her beauty lines, like her upbringing in Southern California.

"I'd see these girls in Anaheim with this makeup on. It was literally like they airbrushed their face," she said in October on Dax Shepard's podcast Armchair Expert. "They would sit in class and they would have a mirror and they would just be picking their eyelashes apart because they never took their mascara off and I was just fascinated by their beauty, you know? I wanted to be like that, so I became my version of it. I plucked my eyebrows out, and it was a combination of those girls and a combination of watching old movies."

Ben Affleck Praised As 'Quick-Witted' As He Works At Dunkin' Drive-Thru
Ben Affleck may not need a part-time job to make a living now, but he seemingly has what it takes to be an employee of the day. The 50-year-old actor surprised his fans as he worked at a Dunkin' drive-thru in Massachusetts.

The Oscar winner made a surprise appearance at Dunkin' Donuts in his native Boston on Tuesday, January 10. While he's known for being a devout Dunkin' fan, he took on a different role at the restaurant this time as he's seen serving customers from behind the drive-thru window.

Ben was seen wearing an employee uniform complete with a black visor and matching shirt that read "America runs on Dunkin'." One customer was completely stunned as the "Gone Girl" star handed them their money back and gave out food and drinks free of charge.
But that wasn't the only good image that Ben left behind during his interactions with fans. Another fan at the Medford, Mass. location, Lisa Mackay, told NBC 10 Boston that the actor was "quick-witted and funny" while taking her order. "He was very, very funny, super, super friendly and just super nice," the 54-year-old fan gushed about the star, "and of course still has a Boston accent."

Ben was reportedly filming an ad that day and was joined by his wife Jennifer Lopez. In one of the videos obtained by TMZ, the "Marry Me" actress was seen playing one of the customers, driving behind the wheel and heading through the drive-thru to get food from her husband.

Another behind-the-scenes clip taken by an employee at the restaurant also saw J.Lo walking into the kitchen to be with her husband after the filming wrapped up. He thanked the staff and the shooting crew while putting his arm around the actress' shoulder. Bundling up in a white puff jacket, the "On the Floor" songstress was holding a drink and taking a sip from it before leaving together with Ben.

Tory Lanez's Sentencing Re-Scheduled, Rapper Hires Two New Attorneys
Tory Lanez will learn his fate when he returns to court next month. It was unveiled that the "Say It" spitter's sentencing in Megan Thee Stallion's shooting case has been re-scheduled from January 27 to February 28.

The decision was made by Judge David Herriford on Tuesday, January 10 as the Canadian native hired two new attorneys. The emcee requested that lawyers David Kenner and Matthew Barhoma replace his original defense lawyers, George Mgdesyan and Shawn Holley, who missed the trial due to a conflict.

Now that the sentencing has been postponed, Kenner can have time "to review trial transcripts and file a motion for a new trial." The judge also said that the new lawyer "could argue a separate motion that date seeking to dissolve the protective order barring [Tony] from discussing the case."

At the Tuesday hearing, Kenner asked the judge to retire the protective order that prohibits Lanez from mentioning Stallion or any details about the case in public comments. "Your honor, most respectfully, there have been a number of other people connected with the case posting on social media and putting out statements," said the lawyer.

"I would suggest to the court that the way the (protective order) was written, it's a prior restraint on free speech," Kenner added of the protective order, which was issued in April 2022. "I think it's inappropriate for Mr. Peterson to be put in a position where he's stopped from using his voice."

Following the hearing, Kenner, who successfully defended Snoop Dogg at the latter's 1996 murder trial, told the press, "We look forward to litigating the motion for new trial." The 81-year-old continued, "We are very confident."

On December 23, Lanez was found guilty of three charges in the 2020 July shooting that left Stallion's foot injured. He was convicted of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a loaded unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He is now facing more than 22 years in prison.

Sheryl Lee Ralph Disses Kardashians While Sharing Message For Her 15-Year-Old Self
Sheryl Lee Ralph wanted her younger self to love herself better. During a red-carpet interview at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday, January 10, the "Abbott Elementary" star shared a strong message to her younger self while shading the Kardashian family in the process.

"What would you want to tell your 15-year-old self?" the interviewer asked. To the question, the actress responded, "To my 15-year-old self?" Insinuating that she hoped she embraced herself more, she added, "There's nothing wrong with your nose. There's nothing wrong with the shade of your skin. There's nothing wrong with the way your hair grows out of your head."

Sheryl, who was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical-Comedy or Drama Television Series for her role on "Abbott Elementary", went on to name-drop the famed family, saying, "And there's certainly nothing wrong with your lips because there will be some people called Kardashians and they will pay ten thousand dollars for your lips." Concluding her message, she assured, "Hang in there, 15-year-old Sheryl Lee Ralph. You're good!"

People were loving her message with one writing in an Instagram comment, "Said what she SAID!" Echoing the sentiment, someone else added, "And she said what TF she said!! Not a stutter in sight!!!!!!"

"A lot of people would be scared to say that on national television," one other noted. Applauding the TV star, another user wrote, "Lmaoo one thing a Jamaican is gonna do and that's spit pure unfiltered facts."

That aside, the Barbara Howard depicter looked stunning while gracing the red carpet as she donned a custom Aliette gown, which she claimed was "heavy, heavy" thanks to all those embellishments. "I just think it's quite spectacular - I love it," she told InStyle about the dress, which took Jason Rembert 960 hours to make. "It really, in some ways, puts me back to the strength that I had to have to carry a 20-pound gown back in the day of [the Broadway musical] 'Dreamgirls'."

"I wanted to be able to collaborate with a designer that I knew absolutely understood my figure, my shape, and my spirit as a person," she said of partnering with Jason.

The actress also excitedly talked about having her own daughter, Ivy-Victoria Maurice, as her stylist. "I am so happy that I chose her as my stylist because she has just been so right on it," Sheryl elaborated. "I have made every best-dressed list, right up to this weekend. And when I tried on my gown for the final fitting, I said, 'Thank God for every birthing pain it took to bring her to life for this moment.' "

Beyonce Music Video Featuring Britney Spears Reportedly Falls Through
If the rumors are true, we missed out on a music video starring two of the industry’s most iconic artists – Beyoncé and Britney Spears.
According to a new report, the “Break My Soul” hitmaker was looking to recruit the “Invitation” pop star to join her onscreen in a new visual. Based on the timing, it seems likely that it would have been for Beyoncé‘s new album Renaissance.

However, sources claim that the plan has fallen through.
In one fell swoop, Page Six reported that there had been a Beyoncé - Britney collab in the works but that it was no longer a possibility.

Neither musicians’ representatives returned a request for comment.
Although they’ve never released an official single together, the duo linked up to film an iconic Pepsi commercial alongside Pink in 2004.

Since then, both stars have expressed appreciation for one another, with Britney opened up about how Beyoncé inspired her.
Fans have been waiting months for the Renaissance music videos, but there is hope that they are on the way. Eventually and allegedly without the involvement of Britney Spears.

Billy Porter’s Golden Globes gown is a tribute to his iconic 2019 velvet tuxedo dress
Billy Porter's look at the 2023 Golden Globes Awards has a special meaning.
The “Pose” star is known for his fashionable looks on the red carpet, and his ensemble at the 80th annual awards show on Jan. 10 was one for the books. But as Porter told Zuri Hall and Justin Sylvester on red carpet at The Beverly Hilton, it was an homage to his iconic custom Christian Siriano tuxedo gown that he wore to the 2019 Oscars.

“I’m giving you full on Christian Siriano, again,” Porter said. “We have to have another moment. I’m giving the Lifetime Achievement Award to Ryan Murphy tonight, the Carol Burnett Lifetime Achievement Award, and he wanted me to wear the Oscar dress.”
“And I was like, no, I can’t repeat,” he added with a laugh.

Tuesday night’s look for the Globes was similar in the velvet tuxedo element and elegant draping, but this time Porter opted for a vibrant crimson color. The performer accessorized with Yeprem ear cuffs, Stéfère, House of Emmanuele and Shine Like Me Brand rings, and a Tiziano Colasante clutch.

Porter had everyone talking when he stepped out onto the 2019 Academy Awards red carpet in the black tuxedo dress.

When Murphy took the stage later to accept his award, he celebrated Porter and called him "one of the most iconic actors of his generation."

"Billy Porter has changed our perceptions by changing fashion," Murphy said. "He did this, he’s the one who ushered in this new movement by wearing a black velvet tuxedo gown on the Oscars red carpet.

"I asked him to wear that outfit tonight and he said, 'Bitch it's in a museum!'" Murphy said, as the audience laughed. "But he whipped up this fuchsia replica for me and I love it."

Porter has previously spoken about his 2019 fashion choice that made headlines around the world. He told Vogue it was about self-love and inclusivity.

“(At the first gown fitting,) I felt alive. I felt free. And open, and radiant. And beautiful!” he told the magazine. “Which has not always been the case for me. I haven’t always felt so good about myself. It really is astonishing how much of an effect clothes have on your spirit.”

Porter grew up loving fashion and was inspired by his grandmother and mom.

“They were always stylish. I grew up loving fashion, but there was a limit to the ways in which I could express myself. When you’re Black and you’re gay, one’s masculinity is in question,” he continued. “I dealt with a lot of homophobia in relation to my clothing choices... When I landed a role in ‘Kinky Boots,’ the experience really grounded me in a way that was so unexpected.”

“Putting on those heels made me feel the most masculine I’ve ever felt in my life. It was empowering to let that part of myself free,” he said.

Rihanna Shines Bright Like All the Diamonds as She Makes Her Golden Globes Debut with A$AP Rocky
Rihanna continues to rih-imagine what it means to be a fashion risk-taker. The superstar made her Golden Globes debut in true Rihanna style, piling on the bling and going for an all-out ballgown moment. And especially true to form, she made us wait for the big outfit reveal, skipping the red carpet altogether.

The superstar, who was nominated for best original song alongside Tems, Ludwig Göransson and Ryan Coogler for her work on "Lift Me Up" from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, attended the Golden Globes (alongside boyfriend and father of her child A$AP Rocky). For the occasion, she selected a ruched black gown with velvet bustier details, velvet gloves and a voluminous velvet wrap cape with puff sleeves.

To finish off the look, she donned, well, all the Cartier diamonds, including a drop diamond necklace and an earful of bling, plus a bejeweled Roger Vivier clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti heels.
Rocky supported his love in a monochromatic suit look by Bottega Veneta, including "compact wool and satin jacket and trousers and brushed leather lace-up shoes," according to a release.

Rihanna's go-to makeup artist Priscilla Ono shared a few shots from inside the gala to her Instagram stories, including one with the caption "parents at the Globes."

A release from Rihanna's Fenty Beauty brand included a quote from Ono saying "We wanted to create a clean, refreshed beauty look using all rose gold hues as a soft juxtaposition to the dramatic structure of her gown. We kept the eye minimal and mixed different rose gold tones on her lips, cheeks and body for an all-over sheen."

The release credited her bronzed beauty look to items from the brand that included Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fu$$y and Gloss Bomb Cream: Doubletake Lip Duo in Cupcakin' on her lips, and Sun Stalk'r Instant Warmth Bronzer in Caramel Cutie and Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in Strawberry Drip on her cheeks.

The singer, who welcomed her son with Rocky in May, flipped the script on maternity dressing wearing everything from fishnet lingerie to a diamond belly chain and lots of latex during her pregnancy. Her boundary-breaking, bump-baring moments landed her a spot on PEOPLE's 2022 best dressed list.

Meek Mill, Michael Rubin, and Kevin Hart Put Up $7 Million for Philly Schools
Meek Mill, Michael Rubin, and Kevin Hart have partnered on a multimillion-dollar donation aimed at educational facilities in the Philadelphia area.
Per a press release, the three have been confirmed to be giving back by way of a collective donation of $7 million. The donation will be put toward 60 different schools in need (both private and parochial) in the Philly region. More specifically, the three are aiming to help lower income students via scholarships, as well as by providing laptops and other tech-related needs.

Previously, the group donated $15 million to 100 schools in the city as part of their 2022 initiative.

In tweets commemorating the latest philanthropic move, Meek pointed to his own connection to the public school system.
In December, Meek was revealed to have paid off the bail for 20 women in Philadelphia to ensure they could spend the holiday season with their respective families.

“No one should have to spend the holidays in jail simply because they can’t afford bail,” Meek said at the time, adding that he was grateful to have the chance to “help these women be with their families and loved ones during this special time of year.”

Fendi and Tiffany & Co. Team Up For Limited-Edition Baguette
Fendi and Tiffany & Co. are tapping into the latest trend of chrome silver and creating an iconic Baguette to celebrate 25 years.
Fendi’s original Baguette just turned 25, and the brand wants to celebrate by teaming up with legendary Tiffany and Co. The collaboration just makes sense as the jewelry house has an exclusive partnership with Beyoncé and has made world-renowned jewels for the “Alien Superstar” singer.

This is the second time that the brand has teamed up. Many spotted the Tiffany robin egg blue Baguette during New York Fashion Week last September.

The bag is now available on Fendi’s website and comes in three sizes, medium, nano, and pico, with three fabrics, smooth leather, croc-embossed leather, and silk.

However, the metal-forged Baguette, with engraved lilies, Italy’s staple flower, and roses, is not available on the site yet and will be a lot harder to get your hands on, as the Baguette is a rare collectible.

New M&M’s ‘All Female’ Packaging Being Used To Raise Money For Women In Music
M&M’s is honoring remarkable women with all-new candy packaging and funding for several women empowerment services.
Last week, Mars, M&M’s parent company, unveiled candy wrappers with a strong message: “Supporting women. Flipping the status quo.” The purple bag includes female characters in green, brown, and the newly introduced purple M&M. The limited-time campaign will be available in milk chocolate, peanut, and peanut butter flavors.

Pretty paper is not the only perk. For every pack sold, M&M’s is donating $1 to organizations that push women forward. She Is The Music, a nonprofit that helps women get into the music industry, and We Are Moving the Needle, which also supports women in the music industry, will get up to a combined $500,000. Additional contributions totaling $300,000 will go to Female Founder Collective, Geena Davis Institute On Gender In Media, and several other programs.

M&M’s is pushing to be more inclusive. The company’s previous introduction of a purple M&M was made to promote body positivity and self-acceptance. This offers a “refreshed” and “modern take on the looks of our beloved characters.”

The latest M&M design has begun popping up on shelves, so keep that in mind when grabbing your next pack. Buying the limited edition packaging will go towards a great cause.

El DeBarge Arrested On Drug And Weapon Charges
Early Sunday morning (Jan. 8) while at a gas station, El DeBarge was arrested in Burbank, Calif.
Local authorities took the soulful crooner into custody around 4 a.m. PT, according to TMZ. At the gas station, officers noticed his expired tags, but after approaching, they claim “an expandable metal baton [was] in plain sight.”

Considering a baton is an illegal weapon, they began searching DeBarge’s vehicle and reportedly found pepper spray and narcotics, which they suspect to be heroin. Authorities also allege the “Rhythm Of The Night” singer didn’t have a valid driver’s license.

DeBarge, 61, was charged with possession of a leaded cane or baton, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The singer promptly posted the $25,000 bond and is set to return to court in March 2023.
Previously, the “I Like It” star was sentenced to two years in a state penitentiary back in 2008 over a narcotics arrest. At the time, he was still on probation for a 2001 drug bust involving cocaine. In 2012, he was arrested in Encino, Calif. for possession for sale of narcotics, NBC News reports.

The year prior, he entered rehab, forcing him to cancel his solo tour and bow out from opening for Mary J. Blige. “I hate to disappoint my fans but it is necessary for me to take the time to work on me so that I may continue to share my music and my story with everyone,” DeBarge, then 49, shared in a statement. “I thank everyone in advance for their prayers and well wishes and hope that you will respect my privacy during this time.”

After having appeared on NPR’s Tiny Desk for their Black History Month series in Febraury 2022 and appearing on PJ Morton’s Grammy-nominated album, Watch The Sun, DeBarge is reportedly working on new music of his own.

Pro-Trump Commentator Diamond of “Diamond and Silk” Dies at 51
A verified Twitter account for pro-Trump commentators Diamond and Silk announced Monday night that Diamond died at 51.
Donald Trump also shared the news on his Truth Social platform Monday, calling her death “really bad news for Republicans.”

“Really bad news for Republicans and frankly, ALL Americans. Our beautiful Diamond, of Diamond and Silk, has just passed away at her home in the State she loved so much, North Carolina,” Trump wrote.
He continued, “Silk was with her all the way, and at her passing. There was no better TEAM anywhere, or at any time! Diamond’s death was totally unexpected, probably her big and precious HEART just plain gave out. Rest In Peace our Magnificent Diamond, you will be greatly missed!”
According to reports, the Diamond and Silk Twitter account requested prayers for Diamond in late November, but it was unclear why.

“Anyone who believes in the power of prayer, please pray for Diamond,” the account tweeted.
When Trump ran for president in 2016, the two women gained attention by supporting him on their YouTube channel.  After being lifelong Democrats, the two say they switched parties to support Trump after he announced his presidential candidacy in 2015.
