#RHOA: Kandi Burruss’ ‘RHOA’ Spinoff ‘Kandi & The Gang’ Cancelled After One Season

Kandi Burruss’ Real Housewives of Atlanta spinoff Kandi & The Gang is cancelled after one season. The show followed the lives of her employees who work at her Atlanta eatery, Old Lady Gang. Burruss announced the cancellation in a social media live with her fans and admits she’s saddened by such.

The post Kandi Burruss’ ‘RHOA’ Spinoff ‘Kandi & The Gang’ Cancelled After One Season appeared first on Shadow And Act.

The series also followed the restaurant staff in their day-to-day lives at the restaurant.

Burruss spoke a bit about the cancellation to LoveBScott on Thursday, saying, “Honestly, I’m not ready to give any statement. I really haven’t put my thoughts into words. I have not written a statement. All I can say is that I really love our show Kandi & The Gang [and] everyone in it. I feel like it deserves a second season.”

"People ask me about the show every day," she continued. "There will be a lot of disappointed fans. I'm disappointed."

Reality Blurb reports that Bravo canceled the series because of alleged low interest from audiences, according to sources.

Some fans have expressed sadness on Twitter, with one writing, “I can’t believe Kandi and the gang isn’t returning for a second season. They at least deserve a 2nd season. What’s going on @BravoTV?”

Another wrote that the show was “probably the best thing” to come from Burruss’ production powerhouse. “This news makes me sad,” they wrote.

Another viewer also wrote on Twitter, Damn, I'm actually sad about this! I liked Kandi and the Gang. Too bad they didn't give it another chance."

Before the show premiered in May, Burruss told E! News that she said her show would have a lot of emotional moments with a lot of heart.

“On Kandi & the Gang you’re gonna get plenty of laughter because my family and the people that work in my restaurant, they are all like walking comedians,” she said at the time. “Of course, you’re gonna get your share of drama and emotional moments. I think the thing about Kandi & the Gang is, because my family is a part of the restaurant, it can be a bit stressful at times.”

#HipHopNews: NBA YoungBoy Claims He Can Outrap JAY-Z

NBA YoungBoy is feeling extra confident in his lyrical ability. While trading insults with his Never Broke Again signee NoCap over a money dispute, the Baton Rouge rapper claimed that he can outrap JAY-Z.

“Jay-Z can’t out rap me boy,” he wrote before taking more shots at NoCap.

“This ain’t bout no music you just a scary bitch I wanted revenge on the labels ni**a,” he continued. “I’m holding over here you ain’t even got 300k for yo tax bill clown just protect yourself pussy.”

YoungBoy’s response comes after NoCap called out his label boss. “I carried dis s**t when u was gone,” said NoCap. “I stop f**kin’ with n***as who would’ve did whatever to see me win to stay loyal to yo hatin ass & let me kno what I owe u, I don’t recall u givin s**t.”

YoungBack shot back, “I pay attention to all the slick ass shit you be doing and saying you a bitch ass ni**a what I call a real rapper. We don’t do music ’cause I don’t fwy stop speaking on me to these people you my daddy artist. You a f**king worker bitch you ain’t my brother f**k you pay me.”

While YoungBoy’s claim is up for debate, he did recently surpass JAY-Z for rappers with the fifth most-charting albums on the Billboard 200. He has 25 entries in total, starting with 2017’s AI YoungBoy and including his most recent project, Ma’ I Got a Family, compared to JAY-Z’s 23.

However, he still doesn’t have as many No. 1s as JAY-Z. Hov has 14 leaders on the Billboard 200, while YoungBoy only has three.

If his output this year is any indication, YoungBoy is likely to rack up even more chart stats in the future. The prolific MC released five projects in 2022 alone, including 3800 Degrees, Colors, The Last Slimeto, and his joint album with DaBaby, Better Than You.

Kanye West back on Twitter with ‘Shalom’ message and welcomed by Elon Musk

Kanye West has marked his return to Twitter, after being banned for anti-Semitic posts, by tweeting the Hebrew greeting Shalom.

The rapper was welcomed back by Elon Musk, who consolidated his ownership of the platform during the weeks Ye was offline.

Shalom means ‘peace’ but can also be a greeting or farewell and the 45-year-old shared it with a smiley face.

A few hours beforehand, West had tweeted "Testing Testing Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked" to which Mr Musk replied "Don't kill what ye hate. Save what ye love".

Mr Musk’s endorsement shows the change of direction the social media site might be taking under its new owner, with Donald Trump also being allowed back on after nearly two years.

West had been kicked off after posting "death con [sic] 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE" in October - after which he was also removed from Instagram - where he appears to not yet have been allowed back. He also lost lucrative sponsorship deals, including with Adidas.

He had not tweeted since November 4 when he announced a 30 day “verbal” fast as well as abstaining from sex and alcohol.

It seems West has broken his fast early and is intent on sharing his views with the world via Twitter, despite previously announcing he was buying Parler - a popular microblog among the right.

Mary J. Blige Set To Release A Children’s Book Dedicated To Inspiring Kids To Follow Their Dreams

Mary J. Blige announces she is releasing a children’s book next year.

The Grammy-winning singer recently shared that she is in the process of creating a children’s book. The book titled “Mary Can!” is scheduled to drop in May 2023 and will teach kids how to follow their dreams.

“I want kids to know that there are no limits to what they can accomplish,” Mary says. “My wish is for my nieces and nephews to feel they can achieve anything they imagine. Growing up, I was constantly told that my dreams were too big, too bold, and too far out of reach. I think we need to reinforce that nothing is impossible.”

She continued, “From start to finish, this book has been my own dream. Starting from just the idea, to partnering with Ashleigh Corrin and Harper Collins who helped bring Mary Can! to life to seeing the final and finished book. I couldn’t be more excited to share this with the younger generation.”

Outside of becoming an author, earlier this year Mary recently released her fourteenth studio album called “Good Morning Gorgeous.” The album premiered just two days before Mary put on show-stopping performance during the Super Bowl LVI halftime show. Mary sung a few of her popular hits like “No More Drama” and “Family Affair”alongside Eminem, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg.

Prior to the performance, Mary spoke about representing women during the male-dominated performance.

“I love the fact that I’m respected by my male peers like that, I’ve always been. I’ve never had a problem with any of my male peers,” she said at the time. “And I actually have a lot of male fans too.”

Chris Brown's BM Ammika Harris Fires Back At Troll Criticizing Their Son's Look On His Birthday

Chris Brown's baby mama won't let anyone say negative things about their child. After one online troll criticized their son's look in a recent photo, Ammika Harris didn't waste time firing back at the individual.

On Sunday, November 20, Ammika shared a series of photos of Aeko on Instagram as she celebrated his 3rd birthday. In the pictures, the toddler sported a red top and matching puffer vest, white pants and brown sneakers.

"I love you so much birthday boy!" the proud mom penned in the first post, before adding in another one, "The one that deserve the world and I will make sure I WILL GIVE YOU!!" In the third,

While many people sent birthday wishes for Aeko in the comment section, one person asked, "WHY U PUT WEAVE IN THIS BOY HAIR???" Finding the question annoying, Ammika angrily responded, "man this was a photoshoot. lil man had them for an hour tf u bother. He ain't YO KID."

As for CB, he also marked his son's special milestone on his own Instagram Story. Alongside the photo of the child, the R&B crooner gushed, "My boy is 3, my prince. Happy bday Aeko."

CB and Ammika were not in a relationship when she was pregnant with Aeko in 2019. Their son was born in November of the same year. Following their baby's arrival, they traded flirty posts and comments on Instagram that hinted at their reconciliation.

Tom Brady And Gisele Labeled 'Greedy' As They Gave Almost Nothing To Charity Despite $700M Fortune

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen have landed in hot water. The newly divorced couple has been labeled "greedy" by social media critics after it's unveiled that their foundation gave almost nothing to charity despite their estimated $770 million fortune.

According to public records, Luz Foundation, a Nassau County-based non-profit, has given out relatively small grants to other groups since its founding in 2007. It's claimed that the foundation gave less than 0.08% to charity.

In 2018, it gave out $300 to support the Waterkeeper Nicoya Peninsula, an environmental group in Costa Rica where the couple owned a beach-front home. In that same year, it gave out $900 to the World Wildlife Fund and $1,000 to the Challenged Athletes Foundation, a charity that helps people with physical disabilities.

Most of the Luz Foundation's donations have gone to yoga and meditation groups. In 2019, the last year for which filings were made available, the Luz Foundation donated $80,000 of its $350,000 budget to the Pointing Out the Great Way Foundation, a Massachusetts-based charity that promotes Indo-Tibetan meditation.

In 2017, the group doled out $25,000 to the David Lynch Foundation, a New York-based group that promotes meditation and yoga in schools. You Go Girl Yoga, a Waltham, Mass-based group also received $25,000 that year.

Gisele, who has contributed to environmental causes in her native Brazil, was on the Rainforest Alliance board of directors for two years between 2014 and 2015. In those years, the Luz Foundation donated $48,000 in 2014 and $25,000 the following year to the environmental charity. Between 2007 and 2019, the Luz Foundation gave out a total of $640,402 to various groups, an amount that translates to 0.00008 percent of the former couple's combined net worth.

Reacting to the data, critics quickly slammed the "greedy" exes, with one person saying, "Always knew they were greedy." Another questioned, "Seriously, is anyone really surprised by this?" Someone else quipped, "They donated millions to the Sam Bankman Foundation - Gisele's idea."

Gisele said she started the Luz Foundation, which features Gisele, Tom and Peter Mattoon on its board of directors, in 2007 to provide grants and support to young girls. The group, which is based in Great Neck, received its IRS tax-exempt status three years later.

More recently, Gisele was named the director of Environmental and Social Initiatives for FTX, the bankrupt cryptocurrency empire founded by Sam Bankman-Fried, which is reportedly missing some $1 billion in client funds. Aside from being a director, Gisele, along with her ex Tom, is an investor and has promoted FTX in ads and interviews.

Both the Brazilian supermodel and the NFL star, FTX's ex-CEO Sam and other celebrity endorsers, including David Ortiz, Steph Curry, Naomi Osaka, Shaquille O'Neal, Larry David, Kevin O'Leary, Trevor Lawrence and Udonis Haslem, are now being sued by investors who lost money in the bankruptcy of the crypto empire that was reportedly worth more than $32 billion.

Will Smith Gave Money Out Of His Own Pocket To Extras On Set Of 'Emancipation'

Will Smith paid extras - who played dead bodies on the ground in new film "Emancipation" - out of his own pocket. Director Antoine Fuqua applauded the 54-year-old actor and hailed him as the "nicest person he's ever met," particularly with the way he treated the extras who found themselves lying around in extreme heat as part of the shoot.

"He was kind to everyone on the set. Will would go around and hug and shake hands - we had 300-something extras and military. Marines," he told Vanity Fair magazine.

"He's funny. He's fun. We had certain extras that were the dead bodies in the graves, and he would go give them money for laying there in that heat over 100 degrees. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Will Smith, really genuinely. You can ask anybody that worked on the movie, they'll tell you the same. Nicest person I've ever met in my life."

The movie - which follows a man who escapes slavery - was filmed before Will hit Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith at this year's Oscars.

Fuqua has defended the decision to still release the film, describing the project as a whole as "more important than one bad moment" and noting there was never a conversation "about the movie not coming out."

He added, "Of course I wanted people to see the film. My conversation was always, 'Isn't 400 years of slavery, of brutality, more important than one bad moment?' "

Last month, Will blamed being "fogged out" and "fuzzy" for not saying sorry to Chris at the time. The Hollywood star resigned from the Academy in the wake of the row and was subsequently banned from the Oscars and all of the organisation's events for the next decade.

Will said, "I've reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he's not ready to talk ... when he is, he will reach out. So I will say to you, Chris, I apologise to you. My behaviour was unacceptable and I'm here whenever you're ready to talk."

Will also apologised to Chris' mother and his entire family. The movie star - who won the Best Actor gong at the Oscars for his performance in "King Richard" - said, "I just didn't realise how many people got hurt in that moment, so I want to apologise to Chris's mother. I want to apologise."

'1000-Lb. Sisters' ' Tammy Slaton Weds Caleb Willingham at Ohio Rehab Center: 'I'm Married'

‘1000-Lb Sisters’ star Tammy Slaton is now a married woman! Tammy the knot with husband Caleb Willingham on Saturday at Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Gibsonburg, Ohio.

“You all knew me as Tammy Slaton, but now you’ll all know me as Mrs. Tammy Willingham,” Tammy says. “I’m married now!”

Slaton and Willingham, 39, met at the rehab center and eventually fell in love at the same location, before inviting 30 friends and family members to the small celebration on Saturday, a TLC source shares.

Photos from the Ohio wedding show Tammy in a white gown and tiara, as she poses with her sister Amy, who’s wearing an orange dress with purple hair. Another image features Tammy smiling next to Caleb, who wore a black outfit with brown suspenders on their wedding day this weekend.

In late October, Caleb proposed to his now-wife in a video shared with The Sun, which reported that the pair shared a lot of the same struggles and were a “huge support” for each other in rehab. Now, Caleb intends to move to Kentucky to spend more time with his wife, the publication reported.

Tammy and Caleb’s wedding journey will be documented in a new season of her TLC series 1000 Lb. Sisters, which premieres Jan. 17 at 9 p.m. local time.

Slaton previously had her relationship history documented on the show, such as last year when she split from former partner Philip, who her sister Amy said wanted “her to be a glutton.”

As opposed to Caleb and Tammy meeting in person, the TV star met her ex on social media and admitted Phillip was known online for talking about his preference for bigger women, and that he didn’t date anyone under 300 lbs. But ultimately, Tammy was “tired of fighting” with him and they broke up, she said in a December episode of the series.

“Tammy told me she broke up with Phil, and I’m like, about damn time. Now you need to work on yourself. Tammy don’t need somebody that wants her to be a glutton,” Amy said on the show. “I’m hoping with the whole breakup, it don’t deter Tammy away from her weight loss, because she needs to lose this 25 lbs. The doctor gave her a goal.”

After her split from Phillip, Tammy revealed that her “door’s always open” to talking to potential partners. “I don’t talk to as many people as I used to. I am trying to be more careful,” she said. “But every day, I get a comment like, ‘Hey baby, you cute. [I] wanna take you out.'”

Less than a year later, Tammy met Caleb at the rehab center, and the rest is history.

Lizzo brings out Missy Elliott and Cardi B during LA tour stop

Lizzo brought down the house at the Kia Forum on Friday (Nov. 18) during the first of two performances in California this weekend as part of her “Special Tour.”

The Grammy-winning musician surprised fans when she brought Missy Elliott out to perform their record “Tempo,” which appears on Lizzo’s 2019 album Cuz I Love You. The last time fans saw the two unite to perform the track was at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards.

Lizzo was also present when Missy received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this year. In her speech, she gave thanks to the genre-bending trendsetter for making room for full-figure artists in the industry.

“You have no idea what you have done for so many Black girls,” the “Truth Hurts” songstress began. “We don’t deserve you. We don’t deserve Missy Elliott, and still, you continue to give to us, and you’ve given with your heart. Your genius. Let me just drop some words: Genius! Icon! Queen of hip hop! Visionary!”

But that wasn’t the only surprise Lizzo had in store for her roaring crowd of fans last night. Just as “Tempo” came to a close, “Rumors” started up — and out came Cardi B.

The two chart-topping artists have been fans of each other for some time. So when they came together to collaborate on their smash hit, it was a no-brainer.

“When I finally had a song on the level that was perfect for us, I hit her up and sent it to her, and she loved it and sent her verse through,” Lizzo explained to ET Canada last year.

She added that when it comes to the “Bodak Yellow” artist, Cardi has shown her nothing but an outpouring of support. “I feel like [Cardi’s] just so tapped into everything — to the world — that she can look at you and be like, ‘Hey.’ You know?” the powerhouse vocalist said. “Like, she can feel it… Like, in my DMs, she’s like, ‘You’re next, sis. You need to come back, we miss you.’ She’s a cheerleader, you know? And it really means a lot.”

Lizzo will hit the stage again in Los Angeles tonight (Nov. 19) before moving on to the next few stops of the domestic leg of her tour.

Kyrie Irving donates $65K to assist Shanquella Robinson's family's legal and funeral expenses

Kyrie Irving is helping Shanquella Robinson’s family deal with the financial burden of funeral costs and legal fees as they fight for justice. A spokesperson for the Brooklyn Nets guard confirmed the GoFundMe donation late Friday (Nov. 18) evening to Yahoo.

“We face a tremendous unexpected financial burden and a great deal of pain as we prepare to lay my sister to rest,” Shanquella’s sister, Quilla Long, wrote on GoFundMe. At the time of this writing, the family has exceeded $300,000 in donations, including a $65,000 contribution from Irving.

As previously reported, Shanquella was found dead inside a rental property in Los Cabos, Mexico, on Oct. 29. The North Carolina native was there to celebrate her birthday with a group of people she believed to be her friends.

Members of the group claimed Shanquella was found unconscious after suffering from alcohol poisoning a day after her arrival. However, an autopsy revealed she suffered a broken neck and trauma to her back. Suspicions surrounding her death grew grimmer when cell phone footage emerged showing Shanquella and another woman involved in a physical altercation.

When speaking to TMZ, the 25-year-old’s father, Bernard Robinson, said the footage of the fight proves Shanquella was attacked.

“They attacked her…and she naked,” Bernard said in the interview posted Saturday (Nov. 19). He added that his daughter was not the type to pick a fight. “She’s not a fighter at all, ma’am. For them to do what they did, ma’am, it just seemed like it was a plot, ‘cause they couldn’t have done that over here, ma’am.”

Overcome with emotion, he continued: “They just put a hole in my heart. That was my only child. I’m just heartbroken, ma’am. You know, I can’t even be a grandaddy, can’t walk her down the aisle, can’t hear her voice, can’t hear her say daddy… Y’all just don’t know, y’all just don’t know what that has done to me.”

On Thursday (Nov. 17), the FBI officially launched an investigation into Shanquella’s untimely demise. The attorney general in Mexico has also declared her death a femicide, a form of a gender-based hate crime.

When it comes to justice, Bernard wants to see those responsible for his daughter’s death charged and punished accordingly.

Disney has announced that Bob Iger has returned to his former position as CEO of The Walt Disney Company, and that Bob Chapek has stepped down.

“I am extremely optimistic for the future of this great company and thrilled to be asked by the Board to return as its CEO,” Mr. Iger said. “Disney and its incomparable brands and franchises hold a special place in the hearts of so many people around the globe—most especially in the hearts of our employees, whose dedication to this company and its mission is an inspiration. I am deeply honored to be asked to again lead this remarkable team, with a clear mission focused on creative excellence to inspire generations through unrivaled, bold storytelling.”

Chris Colfer Was 'Absolutely Terrified' Playing Openly Gay Glee Role Kurt as He Wasn't yet Out

Chris Colfer had to abandon his comfort zone to play his breakout role in Glee.

The Golden Globe winner, 32, reflected on how "scary" it was playing the openly gay character of Kurt Hummel when he wasn't yet out himself, as he caught up with fellow Glee alums Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz on Thursday's episode of their And That's What You Really Missed podcast.

"So, my hometown has come very far in the last couple decades, but when I was growing up there it was dangerous to be out," he said of Clovis, Calif. "Kids would get beat up. On one occasion, someone got stabbed on their way to school. So, being out and proud was just not an option."

"So, when I found out they had written this character for me, I was thrilled. And then when I finally got the script was when I realized it was the gay character, and I was terrified," Colfer added.

He played Kurt Hummel in the Ryan Murphy-helmed Fox musical series for the entirety of its six-season run from 2009 to 2015.

The character became an important touchstone for LGBTQ representation at the time, as one of season 2's biggest plot lines was about Kurt being bullied for his sexuality and having to transfer to a private school, where he falls in love with classmate Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss).

Kurt and Blaine ultimately got married in the season 6 episode "A Wedding," which also saw the nuptials of Brittany Pierce (Heather Morris) and Santana Lopez (Naya Rivera).

Colfer revealed on the podcast that he even had a family member (not his parents) tell him that playing a gay character "would ruin your life, essentially."

"But I just wanted to get out and be a part of the industry so badly, I just knew there was no option," Colfer explained. "I also knew that it would probably force me to answer and ask questions of myself that I wasn't quite ready to do. So, I'm actually kind of grateful for it in a way because I think it kind of pushed me into a path of honesty with myself."

The Land of Stories author ultimately came out publicly during an appearance on Chelsea Lately in Dec. 2009, just months after Glee premiered that May.

"But I was absolutely terrified. And back then, people told their clients, 'Don't play gay characters because it will ruin your career,'" Colfer said. "But again, I had been auditioning for so long and never gotten anything. There was no option for me, I had to do it. As scary as it was."

McHale, 34, who also came out as gay in 2018, asked Colfer if it bothers him that they wrote a gay character specifically for him. "Oh absolutely... They just assumed. And they were right," Colfer said as they all shared a laugh.

#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Rules With $67.3 Million

Disney’s comic book sequel “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” extended its reign at the domestic box office. In its second weekend of release, the 30th feature installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe collected $67.3 million between Friday and Sunday. But adult audiences continued to reject films pitched directly at them, steering clear of Universal’s “She Said,” a look at the pair of New York Times journalists who exposed Harvey Weinstein’s sexual abuses.

“Wakanda Forever,” which opened to $181 million and has generated $288 million in North America and $546.3 million globally to date. The film’s 63% drop was steeper than expected. Industry sources had expected a sophomore weekend of more than $70 million in ticket sales.

By comparison, the original “Black Panther” — which ignited to a blockbuster $202 million in 2018 — declined just 44.7% in its second weekend with $111 million. But that registered as especially remarkable second-weekend business. Only six movies in history (four of which were Marvel) have generated at least $100 million in their sophomore outings. More recent Marvel entries like “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” “Thor: Love and Thunder” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” each fell back to Earth by dropping roughly 67% after massive debuts.

The follow-up to “Black Panther” dominated over box office charts with ease, even as two new movies — “She Said” and Searchlight’s dark comedy “The Menu” — opened in theaters nationwide to work as counter-programming against Marvel’s mighty heroes.

Among newcomers, “The Menu” clocked in with $9 million from roughly 3,100 domestic venues for a second place finish. Mark Mylod directed the R-rated satire, in which Ralph Fiennes plays a celebrity chef who prepares a lavish, though maybe a little stomach-churning, meal for a young couple (Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult) and other one-percenters.

Director Maria Schrader’s “She Said” flopped in its debut with a dreadful $2.2 million from about 2,000 North American theaters. The $32 million-budgeted awards season hopeful has been well-reviewed, but the critical notices weren’t enough to help it break through. The audiences that did show up liked the film, giving “She Said” an A CinemaScore.

“She Said” is the latest adult-oriented drama to struggle at the box office, joining such underperforming films as “Triangle of Sadness,” “Tár” and “Till.” Like “She Said,” all of these films have scored strong reviews and generated Oscar buzz. Perhaps older crowds are worried about COVID or maybe they have grown accustomed to watching things on streaming services, but the business model for prestige fare has capsized.

In a surprise success, Fathom Events scored with “The Chosen Season 3: Episodes 1 & 2,” a screening of a faith-based series that earned an impressive $8.2 million to capture third place. The top five was rounded out by Warner Bros. and DC’s “Black Adam” with $4.5 million and Universal’s “Ticket to Paradise” with $3.2 million. That leaves the two films with a domestic gross of $157 million and $61.6 million, respectively.

Among specialty titles, director Luca Guadagnino’s cannibal love story “Bones and All” premiered in five locations in New York and Los Angeles, earning $120,000 for a $23,983 per-screen average. MGM plans to expand the $20 million-budgeted film, led by Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell as flesh-eating lovers who embark on a road trip, nationwide on Nov. 23.

A24’s “The Inspection,” a drama about a gay man who enlists in the military during the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” era, earned $65,492 on five screens in New York and Los Angles, for a per-screen average of $13,188.

President Joe Biden Condemns ‘Senseless Attack’ At LGBTQI Nightclub In Colorado Springs

Earlier this morning we shared the devastating news about a deadly mass shooting at an LGBTQI nightclub in Colorado Springs. The shooting left 5 people dead and at least 18 people injured. President Joe Biden has now spoken out on the crime, calling it a “senseless attack” that “happens far too often.”

Biden released a statement that wholly read:

“While no motive in this attack is yet clear, we know that the LGBTQI+ community has been subjected to horrific hate violence in recent years. Gun violence continues to have a devastating and particular impact on LGBTQI+ communities across our nation and threats of violence are increasing.

We saw it six years ago in Orlando, when our nation suffered the deadliest attack affecting the LGBTQI+ community in American history. We continue to see it in the epidemic of violence and murder against transgender women – especially transgender women of color. And tragically, we saw it last night in this devastating attack by a gunman wielding a long rifle at an LGBTQI+ nightclub in Colorado Springs.

Places that are supposed to be safe spaces of acceptance and celebration should never be turned into places of terror and violence. Yet it happens far too often. We must drive out the inequities that contribute to violence against LGBTQI+ people. We cannot and must not tolerate hate.

Today, yet another community in America has been torn apart by gun violence. More families left with an empty chair at the table and hole in their lives that cannot be filled. When will we decide we’ve had enough? We must address the public health epidemic of gun violence in all of its forms. Earlier this year, I signed the most significant gun safety law in nearly three decades, in addition to taking other historic actions. But we must do more. We need to enact an assault weapons ban to get weapons of war off America’s streets.

Today, Jill and I are praying for the families of the five people killed in Colorado Springs last night, and for those injured in this senseless attack.”

Shannon Sharpe On Jay-Z Potentially Buying The Commanders: ‘It’s A Good Look’

Shannon Sharpe has heard the details about JAY-Z potentially teaming with Jeff Bezos to buy the Washington Commanders, and he is a fan of the idea.

TMZ caught the Undisputed hosted at the airport, who spoke in favor of the move.

“It’s a good look,” Sharpe said. “It shows we’re trying to diversify and we’re trying to expand. And we’re trying to do the right things.”

Earlier this month, Jeff Bezos was asked about entering a bid for the Washington Commanders with JAY-Z. He played coy, but it definitely sounds like he has an interest.

Speaking with CNN, Bezos didn’t quiet the rumors, instead leaving the moment open-ended when asked about a potential purchase.

“Yes, I’ve heard that buzz,” Bezos said. “I grew up in Houston, Texas, and I played football growing up as a kid… and it is my favorite sport… So we’ll just have to wait and see.”

Last week, JAY-Z and Jeff Bezos were first rumored to team together in purchasing the Washington Commanders.

According to TMZ, Hov has long had an interest in purchasing the team but would need a partner. Bezos also has an interest in the team and has ties to the area as he is the owner of The Washington Post. There is also the deal between Prime Video and the NFL.

Additional prospective buyers include Byron Allen and Robert Griffin III.

On Wednesday, the team’s co-owners, Dan and Tanya Snyder announced they have secured Bank of America to explore transactions of the team.

According to ESPN, the options range from a potential sale of the team to possibly adding minority investors.

“The Snyders remain committed to the team, all of its employees and its countless fans to putting the best product on the field and continuing the work to set the gold standard for workplaces in the NFL,” the team said in the statement.

Alongside the sale is the investigation by Congress of Snyder for the workplace culture under his leadership. That investigation is coupled with one from the NFL for alleged sexual misconduct, which previously resulted in a $10 million fine for the team.

Leslie Jordan’s memorial was held in Tennessee

Leslie Jordan dead at 67: ‘Will & Grace,’ ‘AHS’ star passes away in car crash

Hundreds of fans gathered to remember Leslie Jordan in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tenn., on Sunday.

The celebration, which took place at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium, featured music, singing, comedy, and audience participation, which was what Jordan’s family wanted, according to the local ABC channel.

Tickets were priced at $20 each and all the proceeds went to one of Jordan’s favorite causes CEMPA Community Care.

Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly spoke beforehand.

“If Leslie were here with us today, I would want to thank him for his contributions to our culture throughout his acting career, for getting us through the dark days of the pandemic with his wicked sense of humor, and for always inviting us into his heart and his world,” Kelly said. “Leslie opened himself up to all of us and never stopped sharing the love and light he carried within.”

The memorial date was posted on the actor’s Instagram account featuring a recent photo next to an adorable black-and-white photo of Jordan as a child.

“We will never say goodbye. We will keep you alive in our memories and with your stories. Funeral and Memorial, 11/20/22 — Chattanooga, Tennessee,” read the caption.

Plenty of celeb pals commented on the post, including Justin Long.

“If there is a way to access Instagram in the hereafter, I feel like Leslie is checking these messages and being ‘tickled’ by them. I remember once referring to people following him on here as “followers” and he corrected me, ‘I prefer to call them friends,’” he said.

“When I got to hang out w him in Chattanooga, I witnessed him treating the fans who’d approach him with such kindness and humor – the way you would a friend. His mirth and joy of life will always remain with me – as will his one-of-a-kind voice when I say the words ‘well’ and ‘s–t’ in order 😌❤️,” Long wrote.

Jordan died in a car accident on Oct. 24. It is believed he suffered a medical emergency before crashing into the side of a building in Hollywood. He was 67.

Although the diminutive actor was well known for his camp turns in “Will & Grace” and “American Horror Story,” he became a social media phenomenon during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he began posting anecdotes and skits to Instagram, winning millions of fans.

Keke Palmer Says she felt ‘Trapped’ In Character During the Height of Her Success While Starring In ‘True Jackson, VP’

Keke Palmer always had that star quality as a child actor, but when she landed her own show on Nickelodeon, her notoriety skyrocketed.

Palmer’s most tried-and-true fans were likely introduced to her when she starred in the Disney Channel movie “Jump In” in 2007, although she had been performing since early on in her childhood. She’d even landed her first role in a major film with the 2004 release of “Barbershop 2: Back in Business.”

The Chicago native’s career trajectory hit a sharp incline when she landed her own show, “True Jackson, VP.” The hit Nickelodeon series ran from 2008 to 2011. In a feature story for Variety, Palmer said the success of the show was a huge undertaking for a child to grasp.

In the interview, she recalled the network extending an all-expense paid trip on the Nickelodeon cruise to her. In exchange, all she had to do was sign some autographs, take a few photos, and then the rest of the trip could be spent however she and her family chose. However, things did not go that way. Instead, Palmer was inundated by fans who could not believe the actress was not confined to the parameters of television.

“I felt like I was walking around in a SpongeBob suit that I couldn’t take off,” she told the outlet. “I was trapped. I couldn’t leave my room without someone coming up to me calling me True Jackson. What you are, to everyone, is just a character…just part of their experience,” she added.

Palmer, now 29, has a better understanding of how much being a child star impacted her in her adolescence. Last April, she told PEOPLE that as a child actor, the last thing anyone is concerned about is how you feel.

“I think you get really quickly into being a people-pleaser and trying to be everything that everybody wants you to be. And so I think a lot of that, you end up being misunderstood. When you’re not always being agreeable, you’re a brat,” explained the “Lightyear” actress.

With over a decade in the industry and several notable projects on her résumé, Palmer knows a thing or two about the pitfalls of having adult-level success before you really have time to formulate who you are as a person.

“It’s always been a bit of a thing for me because people have had all these expectations of who they want me to be at a very young age: how they want me to act and how they want me to respond. I’ve fought a lot of that most of my adult life, and I’m still new into my adult life,” she told the outlet.

In a previous interview with The Guardian, the “Nope” star went so far as to label child star experiences in the industry as exploitative. “I think performing, in general, is exploitative. I think that being a child entertainer is really exploitative because you don’t even know your limits yourself. And a lot of what you later envision as a memory is actually trauma,” she told them this past August.

Kimora Lee Simmons Wins Bitter Court Case with Ex-Husband Russell Simmons, Who Now Owes Her $100K

Baby Phat founder Kimora Lee Simmons has been granted more than $100K in a court battle with her record executive ex-husband Russell Simmons.

RadarOnline.com has learned the former couple and ex-business partners attended a hearing the week of Nov. 13, and “Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted a motion for attorney’s fees brought by Kimora.”

In documents obtained by RadarOnline, the court awarded Kimora attorney’s fees in the amount of $100,773.37. Russell was ordered to pay the entire amount within 30 days of the court order.

Kimora filed suit against Russell in July 2022 in response to the 65-year-old filing a lawsuit back in 2021 against Kimora and her now estranged husband, investment banker Timothy Leissner. Russell accused Kimora and Leissner of “stealing stocks he had ownership of without his permission.”

The rapper and American model along with Leissner were all involved in Nu Horizons Investment Group, which holds shares in Celsius Holdings, which makes the calorie-burning drink Celsius. Simmons alleges that his ex-wife and her estranged husband “used 4 million shares as security for posting a bond in a criminal case.”

Simmons claimed that Lee and Leissner committed fraud by stealing stocks to go to collateral for Leissner’s bond. Simmons also filed a breach of contract claim against Lee in connection with this suit, which subsequently was dismissed. Lee is recovering for her legal fees for defending the breach of contract part of the lawsuit.

In 2020, Leissner, a former Goldman Sachs banker, pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy to violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in connection with his role in the wide-ranging 1MDB Malaysian sovereign fund international embezzlement scheme and agreed to pay $43.7 million into a compensation fund for victims

While Leissner pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay $44 million and cooperate with the prosecution to avoid jail time, Lee argued that she did not have to tell Simmons of her decision to withdraw shares because he had resigned as manager of Nu Horizons in 2018. According to Lee’s lawyer, she understood and “believed that [Leissner and Lee] were authorized to use the shares for the bond.” The court so far has sided with Lee on the breach of contract part of Simmons’ claim and awarded the model a little less than the requested amount of legal fees.
