#RHOA: Marlo Hampton Thinks Sheree Whitfield Should DUMP Boyfriend Tyrone Gilliams

Marlo Hampton isn’t here for the drama – the relationship drama, that is. She’s not dating because she’s too busy being a “munty” to her two nephews. But that doesn’t mean she can’t weigh in on someone else’s. The first time Real Housewives of Atlanta peach holder isn’t about to mince words about Sheree Whitfield’s off-again-on-again relationship with Tyrone Gilliams.

Marlo candidly told Page Six, “I definitely don’t want her [with him]. She can do better.” Marlo especially took issue with Tyrone standing Sheree up when she went all the way to visit him in Philadelphia. Said Marlo, “He’s a jerk! Like, who does that? I was so pissed. I was done after that. When he stood her up, I’m like, ‘Oh no, forget him. Don’t forget who the hell you are.’”

The scene was captured by Bravo cameras and featured in the season’s trailer, giving fans a first glimpse at the couples relationship troubles. In 2013, Tyrone was sentenced to 10 years in prison for wire fraud. He and his attorney were convicted of swindling more than $5 million from investors. Sheree has been “dating” him while he was incarcerated and since his release in February of 2021.

While Sheree remained in Atlanta, Tyrone transitioned to a halfway house in Philadelphia. The couple was supposed to meet up but when Tyrone found out that cameras would be rolling, he bailed on her. Possibly because a date might have been a violation of parole. In the teaser scene of the incident, Sheree called a friend to tell her she Tyrone hadn’t arrived and when she called, she was getting a busy signal. The friend informed her, “You’re blocked.”

Marlo thinks that Sheree should take the hint and move on. Said Marlo, “Sheree needs a confident and strong man.” She added, “And one who has a good sense of humor because she has her guards up as well, because she’s a tough woman. She definitely has to have a strong guy that can still turn into a teddy bear to show her a softer side.”

Sheree and Tyrone go back to before his prison stint, where they dated for about a year. They didn’t reconnect until 2016 but split in 2018. Then got back together in 2019. Whew, that’s a whole lot of work for someone who isn’t even available for a date night.

Despite Sheree’s admission of them meeting up on the RHOA premiere, it appears that they are on yet another break. Which Marlo hopes is for good. She shared, “I don’t know if she’s going to go back. I hope not after someone has humiliated her in front of her friends and the whole world. I just wanted her to know her worth.” Marlo concluded, “And that was the most important thing, to be the girlfriend like, ‘Hey, you have my shoulder to cry on. Cry 15 minutes, wipe your tears and let’s figure this out. Let’s go find a new man.’”

#HipHopNews: Pusha T Reveals Why He Didn’t Feature Kendrick Lamar On ‘It’s Almost Dry’

Pusha T’s new album It’s Almost Dry dropped last month, but there was one feature that was purposely missing.

In his interview with GQ Hype, Pusha revealed that he asked Kendrick Lamar to be on his latest album. The Compton rapper “was one of the first people he called,” but they were unable to find a song that differed enough from their last collaboration “Nosetalgia” off 2013’s My Name Is My Name. Pusha did not want to repeat himself, so he ultimately decided to move on.

It’s Almost Dry does, however, feature JAY-Z, but Push was careful not to make another “Drug Dealers Anonymous.”

“I was very determined not to make the same JAY-Z record,” he said of the Pharrell-produced “Neck & Wrist.”

Plus, he weighed in on GQ recently declaring Future the Best Rapper Alive, a title bestowed upon him by Complex in 2018. “Future came in the game and created a lane. So from that alone, he can be considered the greatest rapper alive by somebody,” he said. “There ain’t no argument. It’s to be respected–Future is to be respected.”

Pusha earned the first No. 1 album of his 20-year career with It’s Almost Dry, which debuted on the Billboard 200 with 55,000 equivalent album units.

He will perform the album live when he hits the road on his “It’s Almost Dry Tour,” which launches May 29 in Seattle.

As for Kendrick, he is gearing up to release his own album Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers on May 13. Earlier this week, he hinted that it could be a double album as well as a book.

Nicki Minaj–Man Who Killed Her Father Pleads Guilty For 2 Charges + Will Only Get 1 Year In Prison

The man who killed Nicki Minaj‘s father, Robert Maraj, in a hit-and-run last year has pleaded guilty. According to reports, Charles Polevich, 71, has pled guilty to one count of leaving the scene of an incident without reporting and one count of tampering with physical evidence, which are both felony charges.

Although he was facing up to 7 years behind bars, it looks like he won’t be spending much time in prison after all. Reportedly, Judge Howard Sturim committed to sentencing Charles Polevich to only one year in jail, along with community service and suspension of his driver’s license. It is unclear why Polevich would get such a reduced sentence for two felony charges. His attorney, Marc Gann had this to say in a statement:

“Mr. Polevich’s life story is one of helping others, which makes this case so out of character. There are no allegations of substance use or abuse as causative of his conduct and it is our belief that a medical heart issue contributed to Mr. Polevich’s conduct. Mr. Polevich could not be more sorry for the loss of Mr. Maraj.”

As previously reported, Nicki Minaj, 39, lost her father, Robert Maraj, 64, February 12th in a fatal hit-and-run car crash in Mineola, New York. Charles Polevich was accused of striking the “Anaconda” rapper’s dad in Long Island, and driving away without calling 911. Robert Maraj passed away at the hospital a day later.

Nicki Minaj did not speak publicly about the incident until May 2021, when she posted a message to her official website that said her father’s death had been “the most devastating loss of my life.” She wrote:

“I can’t really ring myself to discuss the passing of my father as of yet; I can say it has been the most devastating loss of my life. I find myself wanting to call him all the time. More so now that he’s gone. Life is funny that way. May his soul rest in paradise. He was very loved & will be very missed.”

Charles Polevich is due back in court August 3 for his sentencing.

Chris Rock Says He Got Slapped By The ‘Softest N***A That Ever Rapped’

Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle made light of their recent attacks during a “secret show.”

The comedians performed a surprise set at The Comedy Store in L.A. on Thursday night, which brought out stars including Diddy, Kim Kardashian, and Yasiin Bey.

Chappelle, who was confronted by a knife-wielding man during his show at the Hollywood Bowl on Tuesday, was joined onstage by Rock as the comics got in some laughs about their headline-making attacks.

“At least you got smacked by someone of repute!” Chappelle told Rock, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “I got smacked by a homeless guy with leaves in his hair.”

Rock, who was slapped by Will Smith after he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith at the Oscars, also took jabs at his attacker. “I got smacked by the softest n***a that ever rapped,” he quipped about the “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It” rapper.

With Diddy looking on, Chappelle also shared his distaste for the city where his attack happened. “I am in the [place] where you sat in the car with Biggie Smalls as he died,” he said, referring to the 1997 murder of the Notorious B.I.G. “I hate this city.”

Chappelle’s alleged assailant, Isaiah Lee, stormed the stage and tackled him while armed with a “replica handgun-slash-knife.” The 23-year-old man pleaded not guilty after being charged with misdemeanor battery and possession of a weapon with the intent to assault.

During his stand-up set, Chappelle recounted what his alleged attacker told him when he spoke to him following the incident. Lee, who Chappelle said appeared to be mentally ill, shared a story about his grandmother being forced out of her Brooklyn neighborhood by gentrification. The attack was intended to draw attention to her plight.

Wendy Williams Says she WILL NOT watch Sherri Shepherd's New Show

It seems Sherri Shepherd's new daytime talk show already lost one viewer.

Wendy Williams admitted during a sit-down interview with Fat Joe that while she misses being on The Wendy Williams Show, she won't be tuning in to Sherri anytime soon.

"I wish I was there. I wish I was there right now to talk about it," she told the rapper in an interview shared on Friday, May 6. "I'm glad I'm able to talk about when I come back, you know?"

It was announced in February that The Wendy Williams Show was being canceled and Shepherd would be taking over the beloved chat-fest's timeslot with a talk show of her own after Williams was forced to take an extended break due to a series of health woes.

Now, the former radio DJ appears to be implying the show isn't gone for good. When asked if she meant an entirely new series or if there were plans for her to come back to her old show, Williams didn't hesitate.

"I'm coming to The Wendy Williams Show," she said firmly. "Absolutely. Absolutely."

As far as Shepherd's new show goes, Williams just isn't sold. She even interrupted the podcaster to shade her fellow talk show host.

"I won't be watching her because I know what she'll be doing and that's not really my thing ... you know what I'm saying?" she replied, quickly turning the focus back to her own plans for the future. "But I love, I love being on my own show. And I love that people love to watch it, you know, all the time."

As previously reported, this isn't the first time Williams has hinted about plotting an epic return for The Wendy Williams Show. The 57-year-old appeared to be back to her old self and looking better than ever at a Met Gala afterparty earlier this week. When questioned by a photographer if she would be back on tv anytime soon, she said, "of course! The Wendy Williams Show lives forever!"

The embattled television personality apparently has high hopes when it comes to making her big comeback. She was recently spotted happily chatting away with financial expert Baruch Shemtov about her ongoing legal battle with Wells Fargo and her return to tv.

"Wendy was talking to Baruch about her situation with Wells Fargo and she confidently said 'I'm getting my money back very soon,'" an insider at the restaurant spilled of the exciting interaction. "She looks great. No one was helping her. It was very different from the person who we've seen."

As previously reported, self-proclaimed relationship guru Kevin Samuels passed away yesterday (May 5). Rumors regarding his death circulated on social media earlier in the evening as fans and critics wondered if the news was true.

(May 6), Samuels’ mother has broken her silence about her son’s untimely death.

According to NBC News, Beverly Samuels-Burch learned about his passing from social media posts.

“That was a terrible thing for social media to put that out. I didn’t even know. I hadn’t even been notified. All I’m doing is requesting that people pray for us,” she said in a statement to the outlet.

Reports from the Atlanta Police Department state that officers received a call “regarding a person injured.” When they arrived to the apartment on East Paces Ferry Road NE, first responders were said to already be performing CPR on the man. He was later identified as Samuels.

Fred Savage Fired from ‘Wonder Years’ Reboot Following Investigation Into Inappropriate Conduct

Fred Savage has been fired as a director and executive producer of The Wonder Years reboot due to allegations of “inappropriate conduct.”

Deadline reports Savage was dismissed this week following multiple complaints of misconduct, which allegedly included both verbal outbursts and inappropriate behavior.

A spokesman for 20th Television confirmed the news in a statement to Deadline on Friday.

It isn’t the first time Savage has been accused of misconduct. Back in 2018, a female crew member on Savage’s Fox series The Grinder imposed assault and intimidation allegations against Savage, accusing him of attacking and harassing her on set in 2015.

Savage denied the accusations, saying, “These accusations are completely without merit and absolutely untrue. have been working in the entertainment industry my whole life and have always endeavored to treat everyone on any set I work on respectfully and professionally.”

Pregnant Britney Is *Glowing* In A Nude Photoshoot With Her Puppy

Britney Spears, 40, is living her best life these days. And there's a lot to be excited about with a new finacé, her pregnancy, and an adorable puppy named Sawyer.

She took to Instagram yesterday to post a few nude photos holding Sawyer, and the pop star is looking *so* happy.

Brit is fresh out of a conservatorship, and is taking her new life in stride.

Britney Spears ended a brief Instagram hiatus with a slew of new photos, including a bunch of naked pics holding her puppy, Sawyer. And honestly, it’s pretty adorable. Most importantly, the newly pregnant pop star is simply glowing.

LOOK

Brit captioned the photos, “Sawyer 🙄💕🌟👄 !!!” She apparently found her new fur baby while vacationing in Hawaii with her fiancé, Sam Asghari, in February.

Sawyer is a white Australian shepherd who is probably living the life in his new home. When Brit and Sawyer first met in February, she said he was a gift from God, noting that the word "dog" is God spelled backward. Preach, Britney! Those fur babies keep us all sane!

“He makes my heart melt ... he needs me and I like that !!!!!” she wrote in an IG caption at the time. Sawyer is (according to my Instagram sleuthing) about 10 months old, and totally adorable.

I am not the only one who loved seeing Britney and Sawyer au naturale. She caused quite a stir on IG with her post.

“BRITNEY SHAKING UP THE GRAM AS USUAL 😌🥰,” wrote one follower on the photos of Brit and Sawyer. Another added, “oh to be a dog held by Britney Spears.” And I couldn’t agree more.

Britney, you must listen to "Oops...I Did It Again" and stop playing with our hearts with these IG posts. Britney's newfound freedom, on Instagram and beyond, is indicative of a new era for the 40-year-old pop star.

Britney is freshly out of a conservatorship that stripped her of most of her autonomy for 13 years. A conservatorship is when a judge appoints a responsible person or organization, the "conservator," to care for another adult, the "conservatee," who cannot care for themselves or manage their own finances, according to the California Courts website.

In November, after a global #FreeBritney social media movement, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny ended the controversial conservatorship, making Brit a free woman. It was the first time she'd had autonomy over her life since she was in her twenties!

And she’s been making up for lost time with her new pup, her engagement to Sam Asghari, and her pregnancy news! Britney announced she was expecting with a sweet and on-brand caption in April. She seems to have been wanting another child for a long time. During her conservatorship, she testified that she was forced to have an IUD despite the fact that she wanted to have more children, so this is a really special moment for her!

Garcelle Beauvais Recalls Whoopi Goldberg’s ‘Cringeworthy’ Behavior on ‘The View’

*In her new memoir, “Love Me as I Am,” Garcelle Beauvais recalls her 2015 audition for “The View” — and the unpleasant experience of serving as co-host.

The former model also spills some hot tea about Whoopi Goldberg and her “cringeworthy” behavior on set.

“I was shocked and appalled to see how testy Whoopi was with the show’s producers,” Beauvais, 55, writes, Page Six reports. “I was embarrassed and disappointed, to say the least. It was cringeworthy!”

Beauvais briefly filled in as co-host following Rosie O’Donnell’s exit from the ABC series.

“Here I was the eager new kid in class and I ran smack dab into the reality of an uninviting workplace,” she recalls in her book. She goes on to describe her icy cold interactions with Goldberg, Rosie Perez and Nicole Wallace.

“There was a brief nonchalant recognition that I was the co-host up to bat that week. No greetings or welcoming niceties, just a hey and they continued on with the [top-of-the-morning] meeting [with producers]. Okay.”

Beauvais continued, “The energy was cold, unfriendly and standoffish,” she remembers. “The atmosphere was so opposite to my friendly nature and definitely not what I had expected or hoped for.”

Beauvais goes on to explain how her opinions seemed to be unwanted during panel discussions, as evident by the time Perez allegedly kicked her leg underneath the table.

“It was a shut-the-f—k-up-bitch, you’re-talking-too-much signal kick,” she writes.

Later, Perez told her, “‘Girl, you know, I just wanted you to know that you needed to be quiet. I thought you were gonna go on too long. You know, we have a system here and we know when the other one is about to talk. So I just wanted to stop you from talking too much.’”

Beauvais recalls thinking to herself at the time, “What kind of system is that where grown women kick each other like f—king mules? Was this a new type of morse code or something? GTFOOH!”

Theater lovers campaign to save Broadway’s ‘For Colored Girls’

A Twitter campaign is trying to save “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow Is Enuf” after it was announced this week that the critically acclaimed Broadway show would be closing.

Theater journalist Ayanna Prescod and power publicist Lisa Goldberg have been spearheading the charge, tweeting out pairs of tickets available for free “for any woman, POC, theater student who would like to see the show,” Goldberg posted.

Tickets have been sponsored by Broadway legends including Chita Rivera, Bebe Neuwirth, “Into The Woods” choreographer Lorin Latarro, “Funny Girl” star Ramin Karimloo and “Mare of Easttown” actor Joe Tippett.

“My initial tweet was to offer one WOC a pair of tickets … Then I went on to ask someone to match me. Because of the outpouring of love we have so far purchased about 40 pairs of tickets and that doesn’t include people who have branched out to buy. I am overwhelmed,” Prescod tweeted on Thursday.

TodayTix has joined in to help, dropping their fees associated with buying multiple rounds of tickets.

We’re told that the campaign — which hopes to create enough buzz for the show to generate more sales and stay open — has brought in more than $15,000 in ticket sales.

Camille A. Brown has made history with the show, becoming the first black woman to direct and choreograph a Broadway play since 1955.

The New York Times called the work, a mix of dance and poetry, “thrilling and exuberant.” The Hollywood Reporter said the show is “a joy to witness,” and Vulture praised it as a “triumph.” A review in Broadway news stated, “For the 95 minutes it took to experience this new adaptation, I was so enthralled with the beauty splaying out in front of me, it was difficult to look down and scribble notes.”

The show is set to close May 22, three months earlier than planned after audiences have been just half full.

Magic Johnson Joins Bid To Buy The Denver Broncos

Basketball legend Magic Johnson is joining a bid to become an owner of the Denver Broncos. He’ll join the group being led by Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Josh Harris.

According to Sportico, the NFL has faced increased pressure over the lack of diversity in its ownership ranks. It is speculated that every Broncos bid group is expected to have minority investors included.

It wasn’t made clear how much Johnson would be investing in the bid. He’s already a part owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Broncos are predicted to sell for the highest price ever for a sports team. They recently valued near three-point-eight-billion-dollars.

ABC Cancels ‘Queens’ After One Season

ABC’s music drama, Queens, starring Brandy, Naturi Naughton, Eve, and Nadine Velazquez, was not renewed for a second season.

There were high hopes for the show when it made its debut in October, earning a 0.4 demo rating and 1.78 million viewers on Live+Same Day, according to Deadline. But the show’s ratings declined, and the finale only earned a 0.2 demo, reeling in 1 million viewers.

Though it boasted a high-profile cast, the show saw one of its stars depart mid-season. Eve, who returned for February’s finale, took a break after announcing she was pregnant.

Queens revolved around four estranged women in their 40s who reunite for a chance to recapture the fame they found in the ’90s group as part of the girl group Nasty Bitches. Zahir McGhee wrote the script for the series, and Sabrina Wind and Tim Story served as executive producers. ABC Signature produced.

The cancellation comes almost three months after the show’s finale.

Mother of Gabby Petito Suing Brian Laundrie’s Estate

The mother of Gabby Petito is suing the estate of her daughter’s killer for $30 million.

Despite Brian Laundrie committing suicide after murdering Petito during a cross-country trip, Nichole Schmidt still seeks justice for her daughter. In the newly filed lawsuit, Schmidt accuses Petito’s boyfriend at the time of intentionally killing her. This latest filing comes two months after Petitos parents sued Laundrie’s family for helping him evade law enforcement even after learning that he’d killed Petito.

Petito was reported missing on September 11th, about ten days after Laundrie returned home from his family’s Florida home without Petito. Her remains were located on September 19th near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. An autopsy confirmed that she’d been strangled to death. Laundrie committed suicide in October in a Florida preserve shortly after being reported missing himself. A notebook belonging to him was found along with his body, and a confession was written inside.

Steven Bertolino, the attorney representing the Laundries said that the wrongful death lawsuit was “expected.” He says the Petito’s will have “gained nothing more than a piece of paper that tells them what everyone already knows.” He has also asked the court to dismiss the civil lawsuit filed by Petito’s family.

Nichole Schmidt is seeking damages for “incurred funeral and burial expenses,” and her family’s “loss of care and comfort,” and “loss of probable future companionship, society, and comfort.” The complaint is also asking for a jury trial.
