#RHOA: Marlo Hampton Wants t clear up the 'awful' rumors about her since she received her Peach!

Marlo Hampton spent a decade as a friend of the show before becoming a full-time cast member on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." She told Insider why she accepted the offer to be a permanent peach holder ahead of the season 14 premiere.

"I feel that you deserve it," she said of the show's viewers. "For 10 years I've had people rooting for me, supporting me, texting, DMing, 'You need a peach, you need a peach.'"

Each housewives franchise (with the exception of New Jersey) features a signature item the cast clutches in the introductory clips played at the beginning of episodes. The Beverly Hills wives balance diamond tiaras, Salt Lake City presents snowflakes, and New York grips giant red apples. Atlanta offers up juicy Georgia peaches. Hampton has managed to be featured in over one hundred episodes and become a fan favorite without one.

Though Hampton is a fan favorite, she's also been plagued by rumors about her past and profession. She began appearing on the series in season four and has been taunted by other housewives about not having a peach. Former housewife Kim Zolciak even publicly declared in 2012 that she did not think Hampton deserved one due to what she considered to be defaults in Hampton's "character."

The Daily Mail published several of her mugshots for offenses ranging from physical altercations to check fraud in 2014.

But Hampton told Insider she doesn't have any "skeletons" in her closet. "The worst of the worst that has happened to me, I share with the world and they know it. And it's only up from here," she added.

Peaches come with perks, but they also bring pressure. Full-time housewives are required to share more of their lives than those making guest appearances. Hampton felt "comfortable" with the added exposure because it allowed her to set the record straight regarding "what people say about me."

"I needed people to come into my world and really see who Marlo is. So to me, it's just so amazing and important that I'm able to share all of me, all of Marlo, to the world," she said. "At first it was awful. And then I have two nephews growing up, hearing the rumors, hearing the awful things."

Hampton, a former foster child who speaks openly about how the system impacted her, is currently raising her two nephews Michael, 14 and William, 13. She has dubbed herself their "muntie," a combination of "mom" and "auntie."

"Mike and Will wake up with me every day. They see my work ethic," she added. "I want to expand the showroom, I'm making a lot deals and just connecting. The fashion world loves me."

Hampton's fellow housewives often speculate about how she earns her money and remain dissatisfied when she offers answers about her entrepreneurial endeavors (including a designer showroom called Le' Archive and a wig line called HER). Those questions continue into the new season, even now that Hampton is a full-time cast member.

"People still don't know what you do," Kandi Burruss told her in the season 14 premiere, which aired on Sunday, May 1. Hampton shot back that was "a lie."

Viewers will recall that other "RHOA" stars have consistently implied that Hampton's extravagant lifestyle is the result of trading her time, and sex, to wealthy men in exchange for luxury goods and services due to her vague assertion that she got her money from "God" in the season four episode "Law by ShereΓ©."

"It hurts me that you keep saying I'm a prostitute, a whore," Hampton told Moore during the season 10 reunion, challenging Moore to provide evidence of the claims. "Where, where are the receipts?" shouted Hampton.

Hampton confirmed that a man had gifted her a home and a home for her mother on "Watch What Happens Live" in 2018, further stoking rumors, but maintains that she is working to keep herself draped in Dior and Fendi. During the season 11 reunion, former housewife Shamari Devoe said she would only listen to Hampton about "gold digging or shopping."

For her part, Hampton believes the rumors continue despite the show chronicling her efforts to start and grow businesses in recent seasons because they're more thrilling. The season 14 premiere features cast members Moore and Burruss speculating about how Hampton is financing her businesses after being invited to a launch party.

"It's more exciting to make up a story," said Hampton. "People are bored. They're lonely. They wish they were me. They're jealous. So they just make up an artificial fake story and they're happy with it."

"If that makes them happy, let them continue to make up the fake stories, like the fake designers they wear," she added.

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs Sundays on Bravo at 8 p.m. ET.

#MusicNews: Brandy, Ne-Yo & More To Join D-Nice For ‘Club Quarantine Live In Los Angeles’ During BET Awards Weekend

We’re patiently waiting to find out who’ll be nominated for BET Awards this year, but the weekend that the awards will be held is shaping up quite nicely with functions surrounding the festivities. One event that’s caught our attention and has us booking a flight is the return of D-Nice‘s Club Quarantine to Los Angeles for a massive concert on Saturday, June 25th at Crypto.com Arena.

Less than a year after Club Quarantine Live made its debut at L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl, Club Quarantine Live In Los Angeles is going bigger and better with an all-star lineup that will take the stage at the home of the Lakers and Clippers.

Of course, D-Nice will hold court with his frequent collaborator Kenny Burns joining him to host the affair. Headlining the night will be Ne-Yo, who we’re sure will perform his string of hits and his 2021 single with D-Nice and Kent Jones, “No Time For Love.” R&B will be further well-represented by the Vocal Bible herself Brandy, the living legend that is El DeBarge and powerhouse vocalist Lil’ Mo.

D-Nice won’t be the only one holding it down for hip-hop, with rappers Nelly and Jadakiss coming through to spit hot fire. CQ wouldn’t be CQ without some gospel music in the mix, and sister act Mary Mary will be on hand to make a joyful noise. In a Club Quarantine Live first, a soca act will bring some island vibes to the stage with Machel Montano scheduled to perform.

Club Quarantine Live In Los Angeles sounds like it’s going to be one helluva good time filled with great music in advance of the BET Awards on Sunday, June 26th. If you can’t wait until Labor Day Weekend to party with D-Nice and Club Quarantine devotees during CQ Live In Las Vegas, this event will feed your need.

Tickets to attend Club Quarantine Live In Los Angeles at Crypto.com Arena are currently on presale (use the code CQLIVE to cop) and will go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 6th at 10 am local time on Ticketmaster.

#HipHopNews: Kendrick Lamar Morphs Into Nipsey Hussle, Kanye West, Oj Simpson + More In 'The Heart Part 5' Video

Kendrick Lamar finally (FINALLY!) delivered a new video and single for “The Heart Part 5” on Sunday (May 8). The elusive rapper made the announcement via Twitter, elating his fans who’ve been waiting patiently (or perhaps not so patiently) for nearly five years for more K. Dot solo material to surface.

While Kendrick’s hair has grown longer and he’s now entering his mid-30s, his lyrical prowess is as sharp as ever he morphs into pop culture figures such as Will Smith, Nipsey Hussle, Kanye West, OJ Simpson, Jussie Smollett and Kobe Bryant. The lyrics often cleverly align with the person he’s resembling; he raps about bipolar disorder when he’s Kanye, murder when he transforms into Nip and living in a “land where hurt people hurt more people” when he’s Smith.

WATCH

Directed by Dave Free and Kendrick Lamar himself, the visual begins with the quote, “I am. All Of Us.” It’s also the first offering from his forthcoming album (and last for Top Dawg Entertainment) Mr. Morale & The Hot Steppers. The project is expected to arrive on Friday (May 13).

Stevie J Pens Apologetic Message To Wife Faith Evans For Mother’s Day : I’ve Disrespected And Humiliated You In Front Of The World

It seems Stevie J had a change of heart since filing for divorce from Faith Evans. The hip-hop personality posted a lengthy mother’s day tribute to his R&B singing wife, declaring his love and asking for a second chance to “rebuild their trust”. Music producer Stevie J, 50, married famed 90’s R&B singer Faith Evans, 48, in July of 2018. The pair seemed head over heels in love until things seemingly turned a year later when Stevie J unfollowed the “I’ll Be Missing You” songstress on social media. Since, the musical couple has made repeat headlines as speculations swirled of turbulence in the marriage. In November of 2021, Stevie officially filed for divorce. In his regret filled dedication, Stevie wrote:

“Faith Rene Jordan I’ve hurt you, disrespected you and humiliated you in front of the world. From this day forward I promise to listen to your feelings and be more delicate with your heart. I also promise to build you up even more & to communicate daily with you, respect you and love on you until you’re as happy as you were when we got married. I’ve learned my lesson and I NEVER want to live without you because God knows I’m a better man with you and I’m asking you to find it in your heart to forgive me and allow me to rebuild our trust. Happy Mothers Day x I love you.”

During their three years betrothed, Stevie hinted that Faith was guilty of infidelity as well as domestic abuse. The “Soon As I Get Home” singer was arrested in the summer of 2020, where reports claim Stevie had scratches all over his face, causing her arrest.

While Faith has remained relatively private on social media, Stevie has routinely fueled speculations of problems in the marriage. Previously, the record producer posted cryptic messages such as

“All that glitters ain’t gold.”

“Ones insecurities can damage them.”

“Drunk people always speak their truth…”

The celebrity couple have been in an ongoing court battle since Stevie filed for divorce to work out separation details. However, it looks like Stevie is ready to put a stop on their pending split, and work things out with his talented wife. Faith has not responded to Stevie’s most recent post.

Do you think Faith Evans and Stevie J can work things out?

Yung Joc Released From Jail After Being Arrested For Child Abandonment

Yung Joc has finally gotten his freedom back. It was unveiled that the "It's Goin' Down" rapper has walked out of prison not long after he got arrested for child abandonment.

The 41-year-old was arrested on Thursday, May 5. According to Gwinnett County Jail inmate records, he was slapped with a misdemeanor charge of Abandonment of Dependent Child.

Joc, whose real name is Jasiel Amon Robinson, was booked into Gwinnett County Jail at around 2:58 A.M. on Thursday. However, he was released around 5:03 A.M. after posting a $1300 bond plus fees.

It remains to be seen when Joc is due to be in court. It is also unclear which one of his kids being involved in the case considering that the rapper has eight children with four different women.

In the summer of 2021, Joc got into a heated argument with his son. The dispute was shown in an August episode of "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" camera. It all started after Joc and Amoni met at the former's nightclub to have a discussion since Amoni's mother persuaded the emcee to share some wisdom to the 20-year-old.

In a confessional, Joc shared his concern about his son's safety whenever he's outside. "It's hard being a black man trying to raise a black son. Every time I walk out the door, I gotta say, 'God, please protect me from anybody that wants to cause me harm, to the police,' " said Joc. "I'm trying to get that through [my son's] head."

The father later spoke to his son and told him that he risked his life by hanging out with the wrong people. He stressed the importance to have loyalty to his family and be safe out there in the streets, but Amoni kept talking back to his father.

Looking frustrated, Joc threw a chair at the wall. They resumed their conversation with Joc raising his voice, but Amoni refused to yield. As things got more intense, Joc was seen swinging on his son before some crew members rushed to restrain them.

Tennessee governor signs collegiate transgender athlete ban

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Republican Gov. Bill Lee on Friday signed off on legislation banning transgender athletes from participating in female college sports.

Last year, no other state enacted more laws targeting transgender people than Tennessee, as GOP lawmakers consistently dismissed concerns that they discriminate against an already at-risk population. Those measures included banning transgender athletes from playing girls public high or middle school sports.

This year, lawmakers returned to the Nashville-based Statehouse looking to expand that ban to colleges and universities. The proposal easily cleared the Republican-controlled Statehouse, where GOP members also approved a separate bill that will add harsh penalties against public K-12 schools that allow transgender athletes to participate in girls’ sports.

Republicans this year also pushed to let teachers and school districts use the pronoun that a transgender student does not prefer, but that effort eventually got spiked during the last days of the legislative session.

While Lee did not issue a comment explaining why he signed the legislation, the Republican has previously declared that allowing transgender athletes to participate in female sports would “destroy women’s sports.”

The bill will go into effect July 1.

According to the Human Rights Campaign, Tennessee is one of eight states that have passed anti-transgender sports bills. Those include Arizona, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Utah.

Republican Gov. Spencer Cox initially vetoed Utah’s transgender youth athlete ban, which drew national attention with his poignant argument that such laws target vulnerable transgender kids already at high suicide risk. However, GOP lawmakers quickly overrode the veto.

Meanwhile, Indiana’s Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb also vetoed a similar ban in March, but lawmakers are expected to override it later this month.

“2022 is on track to surpass a record number of anti-transgender bills filed in state legislatures this year, in large part because of the efforts by Gov. Bill Lee and the Tennessee lawmakers who, law after law, year after year, continue their legislative assault on the LGBTQ+ community, particularly transgender people,” said Cathryn Oakley, HRC’s state legislative director, in statement.

Scrutiny over transgender athletes has come to the forefront once again after University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas started smashing records this year. She was on the men’s team her first three years, but she is competing for the women this season after transitioning.

The NCAA adopted a sport-by-sport approach in January for transgender athletes, but Republicans in a handful of states have decided to push for strict bans. Supporters argue such prohibitions are needed to ensure a level playing field.

Anthony Anderson Graduates From Howard University: “It’s Literally Been 30 Years in the Making”

Anthony Anderson is a Howard University graduate. The Black-ish star posted a video Sunday on Instagram sharing the news that he’d earned his bachelor of fine arts degree from the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts.

'Black-ish' Star Anthony Anderson Didn't Expect to Be So Emotional While Filming Final Episode: "I Lost It"

Tracee Ellis Ross Says Filming Final Episode of 'Black-ish' Was "Very Emotional"

“To quote Biggie, ‘IT WAS ALL A DREAM!'” he began his post. “Words can’t begin to describe the emotional roller coaster I’m on right now. It’s literally been 30 years in the making.”

He added: “Yesterday was a full-circle moment. It’s never too late!”

Anderson also shared photos of himself with, among others, college dean Phylicia Rashad and commencement speaker Taraji P. Henson and thanked his son Nathan for inspiring him to finish his degree.

Anderson previously revealed he’d dropped out of college initially because of financial reasons.

Anderson’s achievement comes just a couple weeks after his long-running comedy series, Black-ish, ended its eight-season run on ABC. Anderson has said that filming the final episode was an emotional experience for him.

Two Years After Her Divorce, Tisha Campbell Officially Drops 'Martin' From Her Name

Tisha Campbell has been divorced for a couple of years now, but in the time that has passed since, she’s decided to drop ex-husband Duane Martin’s last name (she’s gone by Tisha Campbell-Martin for years). She recently took a trip to the social security office where she reclaimed her maiden name.

In an Instagram post, the 53-year-old actress said, “Okay, I just got my divorce decree. I know that took forever,” she said. “And I just went to the social security office and I changed my name back to Tisha Campbell—on my dad’s birthday nonetheless!”

Campbell then officially re-introduced herself saying, “I’m Tisha Campbell. Hello…Nice to meet you!”

In the video caption, Campbell shared a sweet message about her dad.

“Nothing else to say.πŸ•ŠπŸ•ŠπŸ•ŠπŸ•ŠMy dad just saw this post and said, ‘My baby girl is back. Best birthday gift EVER.’ Awww dad! BTW Hey #instagram Can you to help me out and change my name pleaseeeee πŸ™πŸΌ

The actress was married to Duane Martin for almost 20 years until she filed for divorce in 2018. Two years later in 2020, the former couple’s divorce was finalized. Campbell and Martin share two sons together, Xen, 20, and Ezekiel, 12. The exes share joint custody of their youngest child.

Marriage doesn’t always end in forever, but it can end in a more peaceful future for both parties. We are glad to see Campbell in such good spirits and taking steps to honor her father, and herself, in a way that is special to her.

Travis Scott Makes Official Post-Astroworld Return at Miami Club

Close to four o’clock in the morning on Sunday, Travis Scott stood atop a speaker on the stage at Miami nightclub E11even. “I’m sorry nobody can be higher than me,” the 31-year-old rapper shouted at the sold out crowd packed into the two-story venue.

As dry ice and dollar bills rained around him and his fans, Scott launched into his hit, “Highest in the Room,” as part of a 45-minute set that marked his first public performance since the Astroworld tragedy in November.

Seven months have passed since 10 people died, 25 more were hospitalized and more than 300 concertgoers were treated for injuries resulting from hundreds of Scott fans surging toward the stage at the rapper’s festival in his hometown of Houston. In the aftermath, Scott faced a wave of negative criticisms for continuing his performance even as officials declared a mass casualty event, as well as an onslaught of lawsuits from victims and attendees blaming him and Astroworld organizers for the deadly calamity.

Even with the controversy still swirling around him, Scott didn’t hold back at E11even, putting in a gusto performance for an audience that included dozens of party goers who paid $300 a pop to catch his first public show since November.

Reece Brown, a 26-year-old Scott super fan, joined a large throng of people who waited in line for more than an hour to get in before the rapper took the stage. Scott headlined a party loosely tied to the Miami Grand Prix Formula One race this weekend. A doorman relayed that general admission was $300 for men and $200 for women. If anyone wanted to cut the line, it would require another $200 in cash, the doorman said. It was an eye-bulging mark-up considering pre-sale tickets online were going for $50.

“Travis Scott usually costs half a million dollars to perform at your venue,” the doorman explained. “And he hasn’t performed in seven months, so this one is highly anticipated. We pre-sold all our tables. Reservations were averaging $50,000 tonight.”

About a dozen people dipped out, but Brown didn’t blink at the three-figure entry fee. “I’ll pay $1,000 if I have to,” he said. “There’s a 25 percent chance he doesn’t show, but if he does, it’s worth it. I am a huge Travis Scott fan.”

No one should blame Scott for what happened at Astroworld either, Brown said. “When you are on stage with all those lights in your face, you can’t see what’s going on in the crowd,” Brown rationalized. “Even if 500 people fell over, there’s no way to see that.”

The more than 380 lawsuits seeking billions of dollars in damages against Scott, Live Nation, Contemporary Services Corp., Apple, and others, claim otherwise. Combined into a master case, the complaints allege that the crowd surge during Scott’s performance at Astroworld was preventable and that the festival was negligently planned and staged.

Scott has also built a reputation for pushing fans to wild out at his concerts, including promoting volatile mosh pits and encouraging his aficionados to jump from balconies. At Lollapalooza in 2015, Scott egged on fans to climb over concert barricades, which led them to chant, “We want rage.” When cops attempted to arrest him for inciting the crowd, Scott fled. He subsequently pleaded guilty to reckless and disorderly conduct.

For his part, Scott denied knowing how awful and deadly the crowd surge was when he did an interview with Charlamagne Tha God in December. “It wasn’t really until minutes until the press conference [after the show] that I figured out what happened,” Scott said at the time.

Recently, Scott has slowly returned to the limelight, appearing at pre-Oscars party in March where video captured him rapping and DJing. He also reportedly performed five songs from a DJ booth at an afterparty during the first weekend of Coachella last month. And Scott just booked his first headlining festival set since Astroworld: He is set to perform at Primavera Sound in SΓ£o Paulo, Brazil, one day after the first anniversary of the Astroworld tragedy.

At E11even, Scott displayed some of the raw energy that his fans feed off, but no one was moshing. By the time he took the stage shortly after 3:30 a.m., E11even was at maximum capacity. The hybrid nightclub and adult cabaret can fit about 500 people. Club goers and strippers packed the dance floor and VIP tables when Scott marched out in an oversized t-shirt, blue jeans and white-and-red Air Jordan sneakers.

“Everybody owes me a shot,” Scott shouted into a microphone. “We need every stripper to report to the fucking stage right now. We need every bottle reported to this motherfucking floor. At club E11even, that ass better shake.”

He then ripped into his verses from Young Thug’s “Bubbly,” which he followed up with a raucous rendition of his classic hit, “Antidote.” Halfway through the set, rapper Quavo jumped on stage so they could perform their track, “Pick Up The Phone.”

When Quavo dropped the verse, “birds in the trap sing Brian McKnight,” Scott made a flapping wings gesture with his hands and danced around his compatriot. He clearly relished being back on stage. And the crowd responded accordingly, rapping along to every song.

E11even’s exotic dancers gathered around the main stage where they clapped their cheeks and took turns climbing the pole as Scott capped the night with “Goosebumps” and “SICKOMODE.”

And thankfully, no one got trampled.

Three American tourists found dead at Sandals resort in The Bahamas

Three Americans were found dead on Friday (May 6) at a Sandals resort in the Bahamas and a fourth person was airlifted to a hospital, authorities said.

“’I have been regretfully informed today of the death of three American visitors, two men, and a woman, at a resort property on Exuma, said Chester Cooper, the Bahamas acting prime minister. “Another American woman has been airlifted to Princess Margaret Hospital.”

The resort staff called the police around 9 a.m. Friday morning with a report that a guest had been found unresponsive in one of the beachfront resort’s villas, according to the Royal Bahamas Police Force.

They found the man lying on a bedroom floor with no sign of trauma. He was pronounced dead by local doctors, police said.

Police were then directed to a second villa where a man was found slumped against a wall in the bathroom, also unresponsive. An unresponsive woman was found on a bed, police said. They both showed signs of having suffered a convulsion, but no signs of trauma were found, and were also pronounced dead by local doctors, police said.

It remains unclear how they died but Cooper has been “advised that foul play is not suspected.” As they wait for autopsy reports to determine the causes of death, the police said it was investigating a report that a couple complained of feeling sick the previous night and had been treated at a local hospital before returning to the hotel.

Sandals released a statement confirming the deaths and saying the hotel had immediately alerted emergency medical services and authorities of a “health emergency.”

“We are actively working to support both the investigation and the guests’ families in every way possible during this difficult time. Out of respect for the privacy of our guests, we cannot disclose further information at this time,” the statement read.

The luxurious five-star adults-only resort is all inclusive and sits in a secluded area within 500 acres of tropical land.

Angela Bassett ‘Happy And Humble’ After Receiving Honorary Doctorate From Old Dominion University

Angela Bassett has added another honorary doctorate to her collection. On Friday, the actress announced that she was awarded an honorary doctorate from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

“Hey Everybody you good?” the 63-year-old wrote on Instagram. “I’m so happy and humbled to receive an honorary doctorate from @olddominionu today! Education is truly the KEY!”

In addition to receiving the honor, Bassett served as the speaker for the school’s 2022 commencement ceremony. During her speech, the Black Panther actress reminded the graduates of their school mascot, a lion, and the traits they should take along with them.

“Throughout your time at ODU, many of you have proudly looked at the monarch —a royal crown on a lion’s head — as a salute to your school’s rich history, strength, pride, fearlessness, royalty,” Bassett said.

She continued, “And thanks to a little film called Black Panther, I think I know a little bit about royalty … well, fictional royalty at least.” The joke drew laughter from the crowd.

This is not the first time Bassett has received an honorary doctorate. In 2018 she received the honor from her alma mater, Yale University. In 2020, she received an honorary doctorate from Morehouse College.

Kelly Clarkson’s Ex-Husband Accuses Her Of Spying On Him After His $115k A-Month Spousal Support Win

Things are still looking shaky between Kelly Clarkson and her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, who was awarded a staggering $115k a month in spousal support from the American Idol star in their divorce settlement two months ago. New court documents have been filed by Brandon’s legal team that he’s become increasingly alarmed by the security cameras at Kelly’s Montana ranch, where a judge has allowed him to continue living until June. Brandon has been staying at the home throughout the pair’s divorce battle and claimed he was not able to move out sooner because he couldn’t “afford” it at the time.

His lawyers have now requested that Kelly has all of her 13 CCTV cameras switched off for the remainder of Brandon’s stay at the property. He doesn’t specify any particular reason for the motion, but his request would heavily imply that the talent manager, who shares two children with his former flame, could feel spied on, per Perez Hilton. “Kelly Blackstock shall forthwith turn off all web-cams, trail cams, and any other security cameras at (the address) which are now approximately 13 in total,” the court documents state.

What’s more, Brandon’s lawyers have also requested that once Kelly has turned off the security cameras, she must send them proof and “specify how that was accomplished.” Clearly, it seems Brandon has some reason to believe that Kelly having access to the security cameras is an issue. The Breakaway chart-topper shares seven-year-old River and six-year-old Remington with Brandon, to who a judge awarded $115k in spousal support until January 2024. On top of that, Kelly was hit with a one-time payment to her ex in the amount of $1.3 million, while her child support to Brandon comes to an astounding $45,000.

Fortunately, Kelly has not had to cover the bills at her ranch, where Brandon lives. The judge said he would be required to pay $12,000 in rent and all utilities for his time at Kelly’s home. The singer will retain primary custody of their kids, but they will spend one weekend every month with their dad at the ranch.

A source for Us Weekly previously claimed Brandon was still living at the property owned by Kelly because he couldn’t afford to live elsewhere yet. “He has been living in it and said he doesn’t have the financial means to afford to purchase a residence of his own, citing the unresolved financial aspect of their divorce,” a source said.

A month before her divorce was finalized, Kelly reportedly filed to legally change her surname as she geared up for a settlement with her ex. Court documents filed by the mother-of-two reveal she has petitioned to change her name to Kelly Brianne, saying that it was “more fitting of who she is now.”

It’s unclear how the name change will affect how she’s credited on TV, particularly since she helms The Kelly Clarkson Show, but Kelly has made it clear she wants the name change to be effective immediately. Whew.

Charles Barkley Goes in on Tiger Woods: ‘It’s Not Fun to be Around Him’

*In an upcoming biography about famed golfer Phil Mickelson, author Alan Shipnuck turned to Charles Barkley for some insight on not only Mickelson, but also his once bitter rival, Tiger Woods. In the forthcoming biography, “Phil: The Rip-Roaring (and Unauthorized!) Biography of Golf’s Most Colorful Superstar,“–which will be released on May 17.

Shipnuck writes about  Barkley’s take on Tiger Woods as he’s one of the few people who has been in the inner circles of both  Mickelson and Woods.

Shipnuck writes what Charles Barkley said.

“One of the reasons Phil has lasted so long is because he’s had a joyful life. Tiger won a bunch of tournaments, but there wasn’t much joy in it…Sure, Tiger is a better golfer. You’re just in awe of his talent. But it’s not fun to be around him. Everyone in his world is uptight and sh-t, afraid to say or do the wrong thing.”

Barkley continued, “Tiger himself has always acted like he’s under siege. Gimme a f–kin’ break — you’re just a golfer, dude. When you’re with Phil, you’re guaranteed to have fun. He makes people feel good. Everyone around him is always smiling. That’s a huge difference, man.”

According to reports, Charles Barkley and Tiger Woods were once good friends, however, after Woods’ infamous 2009 cheating scandal, it appears the famed golfer cut ties from his old pal. Back in 2017, the Basketball Hall of Famer revealed that he hadn’t heard from Woods since the scandal took the media by storm. Barkley said,

“To this day, I don’t have any idea what happened..After that–thing, he just stopped talking to us. That’s all I know…I could understand if he was trying to get back with his wife at the time and she said, ‘Hey, get rid of all your old friends,’ and he called and said, ‘This is the situation.’ I would’ve understood that. But I just wish he would have been man enough to call and say that. To just disappear totally was disappointing.”

Snoop Dogg’s Son Gets Car Stolen, Quickly Recovered

Snoop Dogg’s son, Cordell Broadus, was recently the victim of auto theft, but luckily his brand new whip was quickly recovered.

LAPD sources told TMZ that Cordell’s 2022 BMW X6 was stolen Wednesday in L.A. And a tracking company was able to track it. The location was given to the LAPD, and police rushed to retrieve it.

The thief was taken into custody.

The alleged culprit reportedly had an active warrant and was booked on a charge from that incident, which was burglary of a motor vehicle. Cops also say they found stolen items in Cordell’s BMW.

Former Porn Star Lisa Ann Corpora Says Elon Musk Should Ban Sexual Content On Twitter

A former adult star believes Elon Musk should ban all sexual content on Twitter since it’s easily accessible for children and teens.

Why Lisa Ann wants sexually explicit content off of the platform. On her podcast, Lisa Ann Corpora expressed her concerns about sexually explicit content being accessible on Twitter for underage users. She notes that she is not against pornography but wants the content prohibited and calls it the ‘largest distributor of illegal content to minors.’

‘Something I really hope Elon Musk takes a step ahead and says, ‘we’re not doing this anymore’, and if we are, you’ll have to enter in your birthday, there will have to be an ID situation, there will be levels to this s***, that’s what I’m hoping.’ So my disdain for porn on social media has nothing to do with porn, other than the fact that you are sharing it on platforms that have no age gate.’

Corpora also believe adult content creators should not distribute their content for free on Twitter as it could be shared among users. However, Twitter does not allow users under the age of 13 to create an account but users are able to fabricate their own birthdate in order to have access to the platform.

“Twitter requires people using the service to be 13 years of age or older. If you signed up for an account before you were 13 years old, and now meet our minimum age requirement, you can regain access to your account by removing some data.”

Elon Musk acquired Twitter last month and cited concerns regarding free speech

After acquiring Twitter for $43 billion, Elon Musk said he believes in the idea of free speech on the platform and wants to eliminate bot and troll accounts from taking over.

“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated. I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it.” Musk wrote in a statement.

The acquisition had users questioning the platform’s future as policies could possibly be changed based on Musk’s views on free speech on social media…
