The Dazed text by Liam Hess introducers readers to five rising creatives — a “new guard of young designers interrogating cultural identity.”
Across the UK, a new guard of designers is drawing on global influences to ask how we can use our pasts – whether cultural heritage, personal histories, or intergenerational trauma and healing – to forge a new path to the future that ricochets between the boundaries of sexuality, gender, race, and nationality.
The young designers featured at Dazed are Cameron Williams, Chloe Nardin, Fidan Novruzova, Gui Rosa, and Roisin Pierce.
Second officer Wilbert Mora shot in Harlem domestic incident dies of injuries
Despite the best efforts of doctors and nurses who came to his aid, Police Officer Wilbert Mora — who was shot last Friday along with his partner while responding to a Harlem domestic incident — died of his injuries Tuesday.
Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell made the announcement in a post on her official Twitter account. Mora succumbed to his injuries at NYU Langone Hospital in Kips Bay, less than two days after being transferred there from Harlem Hospital.
Mora and Police Officer Jason Rivera, both members of the 32nd Precinct, were fatally shot by Lashawn McNeil, 47, as they responded to the dispute at the suspect’s apartment on West 135th Street on the night of Jan. 21.
All three men are now dead; Rivera died on Friday night at Harlem Hospital, while McNeil, who was shot by Police Officer Sumit Sulan, another 32nd Precinct officer who responded to the incident, succumbed to his injuries Monday.
“Wilbert is 3 times a hero,” Sewell said. “For choosing a life of service. For sacrificing his life to protect others. For giving life even in death through organ donation. Our heads are bowed and our hearts are heavy.”
Mayor Eric Adams repeated many of the same sentiments.
“Wilbert Mora was a hero. He served his city, protected his community and gave his life for our safety,” he tweeted. “Our hearts are heavy. Our city is in mourning. To his family, loved ones, and brothers and sisters in the NYPD: Your city is standing with you today and always.”
Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch said Mora “showed us wha it means to carry out our mission with courage, skill and humanity.”
“His sacrifice will guide us as we continue that mission, but we cannot succeed alone,” Lynch said in a statement posted on Twitter. “We ask you once again to join us. Help us mourn our fallen heroes, and help us carry on in their name.”
The last time the NYPD lost two officers in a single gun violence incident was December 2014, when Police Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were gunned down while on patrol in Brooklyn.
Much like the murder of Ramos and Liu, the slaying of Mora and Rivera shocked and angered a city plagued by increasing gun violence in recent months. Mora died a day after Mayor Adams announced a gun violence action plan seeking to combat the flow of illegal weapons into New York City and locking up the most violent offenders.
Rivera, Mora and Sulan responded to a reported family dispute inside a first-floor, one-bedroom apartment at 119 West 135th St. at about 6:15 p.m. on Jan. 21.
Upon arriving, law enforcement sources said, the officers met up with the caller, McNeil’s mother, who said she had gotten into an argument, along with her other son.
After the woman informed the officers that McNeil was located in a bedroom in the rear of the premises, Officers Rivera and Mora walked down a hallway to approach the room, while Sulan remained in the living room.
That’s when McNeil came charging out of the bedroom with a .45-caliber handgun, equipped with an illegal high caliber cartridge containing up to 40 rounds, and blasted his weapon, striking Rivera and Mora multiple times. Sulan then fired at McNeil in response, gravely wounding him.
St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Midtown will hold Rivera’s wake on Friday afternoon and funeral Mass Saturday morning. Arrangements for Mora have yet to be announced.

With that comment, Leakes made it clear that she has not started conversations with CBS about joining the show. The last edition of CBB saw Leakes’ former RHOA co-star Kandi Burruss. Other stars that have been rumored to join the 2022 edition include Tiffany Pollard, Vanilla Ice, Lamar Odom, Sha’carri Richardson, among others. The eye network has not confirmed the official cast yet.

Ella Mai is back for another round. The Grammy-winning singer has announced the first single from her long-awaited sophomore album. “DFMU” is set to arrive at streaming services this Friday, Jan. 28, she announced on Twitter.
“DFMU. 1/28. the sophomore era has arrived,” she tweeted.
This marks the first music from the “Boo’d Up” hitmaker since “Not Another Love Song,” which was released in October 2020 and was certified gold.
She has been in the studio working on the follow-up to her self-titled 2018 debut, which will showcase her evolution. “Everything on my debut album was pretty much about love…I just turned 25, I’m growing up, I’m maturing, I’m turning into a new woman,” she told Billboard in a 2019 interview. “Just the new chapter and everything that I’ve been experiencing in this last year, it’s been crazy.”
While she readies her next hit, her 2018 smash “Boo’d Up” has been certified 7x platinum by the RIAA, while “Trip” is now 5x platinum.

Nicki Minaj may be returning with new music as soon as next month. According to The Sun, she has enlisted Lil Baby for her new single, reportedly titled “Do We Have a Problem?” A “raunchy” video has already been shot for their collaboration, which is set to debut in the next few weeks.
“Nicki is ready for a comeback and has got Lil Baby on board for her track, called ‘Do We Have a Problem?'” says a source.
“She has been hard at work in the studio over the past year and is hoping this can help gain her some momentum again. The video has been made to shock fans and she looks incredible, so it is all systems go.”
The Lil Baby collaboration wouldn’t come as a complete surprise. Back in October, Nicki joined the Atlanta rapper on stage during his “Back Outside Tour” in L.A.
Nicki continues to ready her fifth studio album, the follow-up to 2018’s Queen. “I’m back to enjoying music. You know when you’re just back in your zone and your creativity is on high and you can just do it in your sleep. It’s magic again,” she told fans last year. “This album will definitely be my best album of all time thus far.”
2022 is shaping up to be a big year for Nicki, who is also planning to debut her HBO Max documentary series.
Cardi B Wins $1.25 Million Defamation Lawsuit Against Blogger
Cardi B has emerged victorious in her defamation lawsuit against a gossip blogger.
The rapper sued Latasha Kebe, better known as Tasha K, in March 2019 for spreading false information about her online, including claims that she had contracted multiple STIs, used drugs, and worked as a prostitute.
After a week-plus long trial in federal court, Tasha was found liable on all three claims of defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She has been ordered to pay Cardi $1.25 million, consisting of $1 million for “pain and suffering and/or reputational injury,” and $250,000 for medical expenses, according to Rolling Stone.
In her YouTube videos, which received millions of views, Tasha said Cardi’s baby might be born with intellectual disabilities, insinuating that Cardi was doing drugs during her pregnancy.
While taking the stand, Cardi broke down in tears as she described to the jury how she felt about the false claims.
“I felt extremely suicidal,” Cardi told the court. “Only an evil person could do that shit.”
After the verdict was announced, Tasha K released a statement on Twitter. “My Husband, Attorney’s, & I fought really hard,” she wrote. “I want to thank them for their long hours and sleepless nights. Winos it’s only up from here. See y’all in a few days.🥂🙏 Back to work.”
Tasha also faces punitive damages, which will be determined at a hearing on Tuesday.
Samuel L. Jackson fact-checks his presence in a Martin Luther King Jr. photo: 'That's not me'
Samuel L. Jackson has been one of Hollywood's go-to scene-stealers for decades. But the Pulp Fiction star isn't about to take credit for the cameos he didn't make. On Jan. 23, Black activist Zellie Imani posted an archival photo on Twitter that purportedly showed a younger Jackson — who was then a student at Morehouse College — observing Martin Luther King Jr. in a Georgia pool hall in 1966.
Hours later, the actor entered the chat to correct the historical record. "Okay, I met Dr. King but not at a pool hall," Jackson wrote. "That's not me!!"
While it's never easy to be fact-checked in real time — and by an Oscar-nominated celebrity no less — Imani was gracious in acknowledging his error and grateful to Jackson for the correction. "LOL, whoops," he wrote in reply to the actor. "Glad he was able to chime in and correct me," Imani told another writer who chuckled at the exchange.
While Jackson may not be featured in that particular pool hall photo, he was in attendance for King's funeral in Atlanta two years later. Writing in The Hollywood Reporter in 2018, the actor recalled serving as an usher during the April 9, 1968 procession, held at Spelman College.
"They needed volunteers to help people find their way around campus, and I became an usher," Jackson wrote. "I remember Mahalia Jackson singing. I’d been listening to her all my life, so it was great to hear her sing 'Precious Lord, Take My Hand' live. I remember seeing people like Harry Belafonte and Sidney Poitier. People that I thought I’d never see, let alone have a relationship with later on in life. The funeral was pretty much a blur."
But the experience also brought Jackson's future into sharper focus, launching him on a path that led to political activism and, eventually, an acting career. After getting involved with anti-war groups at the height of the Vietnam War, a close brush with the FBI led him to make the trip to Hollywood ... and he never left.
"We were buying guns, which kind of put me on the radar of the powers that be," Jackson wrote of his dramatic departure for the West Coast. "We were fully expecting a revolution to happen. That summer of ’69, somebody from the FBI came to my mom’s house in Tennessee and told her she needed to get me out of Atlanta before I got killed. She showed up and said she was going to take me to lunch. I got in the car and she drove me to the airport and said, 'Get on this plane, do not get off. I’ll talk to you when you get to your aunt’s in L.A.'"
Taylor Swift Receives Apology from Blur's Damon Albarn After His Claim She 'Doesn't Write' Her Songs
Blur’s Damon Albarn is apologizing to Taylor Swift after accusing the singer/songwriter of not writing her own music and getting a response from Taylor on Twitter.

“You don’t have to like my songs but it’s really f—ed up to try and discredit my writing. WOW,” she continued.
Swift — who has written or co-written every song she’s released since the start of her career — ended her Twitter statement with: “PS I wrote this tweet all by myself in case you were wondering.”
Albarn replied and tweeted that he “agrees” with the 11-time Grammy winner, stating that his comments were “reduced to clickbait.”
“I apologise unreservedly and unconditionally. The last thing I would want to do is discredit your songwriting. I hope you understand. – Damon,” he added.
Many of Swift’s collaborators, including Aaron Dessner and Nathan Chapman, defended Swift Monday afternoon.
“You’re obviously completely clueless as to her actual writing and work process,” tweeted Dessner. Added producer Nathan Chapman, who has worked with Swift on five albums: “@taylorswift13 1,000,000% writes her own songs. And she’s one of the best songwriters of our time.”
In a Los Angeles Times interview published Sunday, Albarn said Swift “doesn’t write her own songs.”
He went on to say that co-writing “doesn’t count.”
“I know what co-writing is. Co-writing is very different to writing. I’m not hating on anybody, I’m just saying there’s a big difference between a songwriter and a songwriter who co-writes,” Albarn said. “Doesn’t mean that the outcome can’t be really great.”
(Swift’s third studio album, Speak Now, was entirely written by the pop star, who previously told Rolling Stone she was motivated to write the record solo as a response to claims she didn’t write her own music. Many of the singer’s most-beloved songs — including “Our Song,” “Love Story,” “Red,” “Lover” and “Cornelia Street” — were written without co-writers.)
Albarn then named “some of the greatest singers” like Ella Fitzgerald who he said “never wrote a song in her life.”
“When I sing, I have to close my eyes and just be in there. I suppose I’m a traditionalist in that sense,” Albarn said.
Albarn saluted songwriters Billie Eilish and her brother, Finneas O’Connell, saying, ” I’m more attracted to that than to Taylor Swift. It’s just darker — less endlessly upbeat. Way more minor and odd. I think she’s exceptional.”
Earlier this month, Swift — whose latest critically albums, folklore and evermore, explore topics including the impact of the pandemic, grief and devastating loss — teased a forthcoming release as she was named the first-ever global ambassador for Record Store Day.
The 15th annual Record Store Day (RSD), which celebrates independent record stores, will take place this year on April 23.
“I’m very proud to be this year’s Ambassador for Record Store Day,” Swift said in a press release. “The places where we go to browse and explore and discover music new and old have always been sacred to me.”
She added, “Record stores are so important because they help to perpetuate and foster music-loving as a passion.”
Swift will drop a “special RSD 2022 release” to commemorate the holiday’s 15th celebration, according to the press release. On past RSD celebrations, she has released new versions of albums 1989 and Speak Now, and unveiled a 7″ vinyl single version of Haim’s “Gasoline,” according to Billboard.

Jazmine Sullivan To Release Deluxe Edition Of 'Heaux Tales'
Jazmine Sullivan is releasing a deluxe edition to her Grammy-nominated album, Heaux Tales. The singer revealed the news on Monday (Jan. 24) nearly a year after she dropped the original project.
“Mark your calendars,” she wrote on social media. She further teased the project during an interview with Variety. “The conversation continues,” said the Philly singer. “I started Heaux Tales with the idea of having open conversations as Black women, and you can’t put all of that into one project. There’s always more to talk about.”
Heaux Tales — deemed a “concept album” — featured six spoken-word interludes from various women in Sullivan’s life and eight songs inspired by some of those stories. In an interview with Rolling Stone, she explained the importance of representing different Black women in her music.
“It’s important to have a body-positive Lizzo or a quirky SZA and Ari [Lennox], or me. We have shared Black-girl similarities, but there are major differences that need to be shown and celebrated,” said the “Pick Up Your Feelings” star. “This project was about sharing some of those stories so that y’all could see us in all of our glory, see us for who we are.”
Heaux Tales, Mo Tales: The Deluxe will include the 14 records from the original album as well as an undisclosed amount of some new tales. Asked whether there will be further expansion of her Heaux Tales, Sullivan said she wasn’t sure. She does, however, have a desire to see some of the stories shared on the big screen.
“I’d like to move it into another arena, like film, where you could see new conversations and stories,” she told Variety.
Heaux Tales, Mo Tales: The Deluxe is slated to release on Feb. 11. Days later, on Valentine’s Day, she and Tiana Majors will kick off the “Heaux Tales Tour” kicks off in Vancouver.
Christina Aguilera Willing To Reconnect With Britney Spears Months After Red Carpet Snub About Conservatorship
Christina Aguilera says she wants to reach out to Britney Spears months after she reportedly snubbed questions about the pop star’s conservatorship battle.
During an interview with The Enrique Santos Show, Aguilera was asked if she reached out to Spears since her conservatorship battle ended in November. She said in response that she would love to speak with her former Mickey Mouse Club castmate and was open to the idea.
“I couldn’t be happier for her, and every woman deserves to feel empowered and to own that for themselves, however they see fit. If anybody gets that and understands what that means at that time coming up, it definitely would be her and I. I will always be here to reach out to. I love, you know, being able to connect like that with other women … it’s very important, now more than ever, now that we do have the ability to connect, that that happens and that we always feel unified.”
The statement comes after Aguilera appeared to snub any questions about Spears regarding her conservatorship back in November. However, she did speak out about it on Twitter in June as reported by PEOPLE.
“These past few days I’ve been thinking about Britney and everything she is going through. It is unacceptable that any woman or human, wanting to be in control of their own destiny might not be allowed to live life as they wish.”
Dame Dash Confirms ‘Paid in Full 2’ is Filming in New Jersey
*Hip-Hop producer Dame Dash has revealed that a sequel to “Paid in Full” is currently being shot in Newark, New Jersey.
“It’s what happens after [they] put all that work on the street, and somebody had to get that money back,” said Dash, who produced the 2002 crime drama, in an interview with AllHipHop.
“There’s a lot of perspectives that people don’t know. We chose three, really one. Now I’m showing all perspectives,” he continued. “So you’ll see a perspective from the stickup kids at the time, see a perspective of the younger dudes, I was a younger dude, the 16-year-olds. You’ll see perspectives from Kevin Childs, Jay Black, everybody, Lou Simms. It’s going to be off the hook. Trust me. A lot of other little stories will be told.”
“Paid in Full” was inspired by the late Harlem drug lord Alpo Martinez, who was reportedly killed in a drive-by shooting in New York City in November 2021. He was 55-years-old.
According to multiple reports, Martinez was found dead in his 2017 Dodge Ram on the corner of Frederick Douglass Boulevard and West 147 Street in Harlem. Per Complex, he was charged in 1991 with conspiracy, operating a continuing drug enterprise, and using weapons during drug deals. Facing the possibility of the death penalty or life in prison, Martinez turned informant in exchange for 35 years behind bars. Following his release in 2015, he was placed in witness protection.
Martinez was portrayed by rapper Cam’ron in the 2002 movie “Paid In Full.” The first also starred Wood Harris and Mekhi Phifer and grossed over $3 million worldwide.
In May 2020, Cam’ron said he was in talks about the sequel.
“These are conversations that we talked about in the last few months,” Cam said during an Instagram Live session. “Actually, a couple hours ago, something we talked about [was] pertaining [to] Paid in Full 2. I don’t wanna say 100 percent ‘yes,’ but we’re definitely in the talks about doing something similar to Paid in Full 1. … It’s definitely a conversation going on right now about that, 100 percent.”

Queen Latifah on Chris Noth’s ‘Equalizer’ firing: It’s ‘personal’
Queen Latifah is making her thoughts known following her former “Equalizer” co-star Chris Noth’s unexpected firing from the show.
Noth, 67, was ousted from the CBS drama as well as the “Sex and the City” spinoff “And Just Like That” last year following allegations of sexual assault.
Latifah, 51, told People what she thought about Noth’s dismissal as well as his character being written off.
“It’s still surreal. It is such a dicey, delicate situation that requires a great deal of respect,” the “U.N.I.T.Y.” singer said. “That’s a personal thing that he’s going to have to deal with.”
“We are figuring out what we want to do creatively on the show and how we’re going to deal with that character,” she added.
“Chris’ character is obviously a big part of the show and it was amazing chemistry, amazing chemistry,” Latifah said. “And my feeling is justice has to prevail regardless. I just want the right things to be done, you know?”
In December, Universal Television and CBS said in a statement that the “Good Wife” actor was let go from the show. “Chris Noth will no longer film additional episodes of ‘The Equalizer,’ effective immediately,” the note said. The actor was also dropped from his agency, A3 Artists, a Peloton ad featuring Noth was scrapped and his appearance was cut in the upcoming “And Just Like That” season finale.
Last year, four women came forward and accused him of sexual abuse dating back to the 1990s. Noth has since denied the accusations.
“You have my statement, right?” Noth told reporters following the accusations. “My statement is out, I rest by my statement. I’ll now let the chips fall where they may. My statement is my statement, that’s all I can give.”
The “Sex and the City” alum gave a statement to Page Six shortly after the scandal went public.
“The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false,” he said. “These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual.”
He added, “It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”
‘Batgirl’ Officially Casts Ivory Aquino as First Trans Character in a DC Comics Feature Film
Barbara Gordon has officially found her roommate.
Ivory Aquino (“Tales of the City,” “When We Rise”) has been cast in the HBO Max feature film “Batgirl” as Alysia Yeoh, the best friend of the titular superhero, a.k.a. Barbara Gordon (Leslie Grace).
Both Aquino and Yeoh are transgender, marking the first time a live-action feature film adaptation of a DC Comics title will feature an openly trans character. Yeoh first appeared in a 2011 issue of “Batgirl” written by Gail Simone and penciled by Ardian Syaf.
News of Aquino’s casting first leaked online in mid-January after Grace posted a photo seemingly from the set of the film to her Instagram story, tagging Aquino and captioning the shot (of two women crossing the street) with “Barbara and Alysia 😍🦇”.
There have been several strides in broadening LGBTQ+ representation in superhero adaptations over the past few years, especially on television. The CW series “Supergirl” included the first trans superhero on TV in Dreamer (played by Nicole Maines) and the title superhero’s sister, Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh), came out as a lesbian on Season 2. The lead character on the CW’s “Batwoman” has always been a lesbian, whether played by Ruby Rose in Season 1 or Javicia Leslie on subsequent seasons. The animated DC series “Harley Quinn” ended its second season with Harley and Poison Ivy falling in love and the DC Films adaptation “Birds of Prey” included lesbian police detective Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez). In 2021, Marvel Studios’ Disney Plus series “Loki,” the title character (played by Tom Hiddleston) revealed he is pansexual and the feature film “Eternals” included the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first same-sex couple, played by Brian Tyree Henry and Haaz Sleiman.
Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (“Bad Boys For Life”) are directing “Batgirl.” The film costars J.K. Simmons (as Barbara’s father, Gotham City police commissioner Jim Gordon), Brendan Fraser (as the unspecified main villain), Michael Keaton (reprising his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, which he will first do in “The Flash” in late 2022) and Jacob Scipio (in an unknown role).

“Playing the Super Bowl is a huge honor, and I remember — and I got the phone call to play the show, I just cried. I just cried and ran around my room,” Gaga said. “And then I don't know why I made a very silly decision to decide to try to catch a touchdown at the end.”
Gaga’s high-flying performance went off without a hitch, but her decision to catch a football wasn’t looking like a winner during rehearsals.
“I wanted to jump in and jump out of the performance because I thought it was compositionally interesting,” Gaga said. “So I was so super excited to catch this football, but four out of five times that we practiced it, I didn't get it.”
Gaga said everyone on her team wanted to be the one to throw her the ball during the performance, but given that rehearsals weren’t going so great, at least as that particular part of the show goes, she insisted on having an actual quarterback throw it to her, and it worked! Gaga caught the ball, and she wanted to make sure everyone knew it.
“It was funny because I — no one could see, but I landed in this giant foam pit, like you would see in a gym or something,” Gaga said. “And I landed in the pit and went, ‘Did I catch it?l I caught it! I caught it! Did they get it? Did they get it on camera? Did the people see it?’”
Though it was far from the most consequential catch made that night in Houston, Gaga was well aware of what was on the line.
“Did you ever think, like, ‘If I miss, if this ball bounces off my head, everyone’s gonna laugh at me for a long time?’” Kimmel asked. “Oh, I knew the headline would be, like, you know, ‘The Patriots win and Lady Gaga loses’,” Gaga said. “Like, ‘Stick to singing, honey.’”

The SAT Is Going Completely Digital in 2024, Test Will Be Shorter and ‘Easier to Take’
It’s official. The SAT is going digital. The College Board made the announcement on Tuesday after testing a digital SAT back in November. As it turned out, 100% of educators said the experience was a positive one, and 80% of high schoolers found the experience to be less stressful. The move, which will go into effect in 2024, also comes as several colleges removed requirements that applicants take the SAT or ACT, per CNN.
“The digital SAT will be easier to take, easier to give, and more relevant,” said Priscilla Rodriguez, vice president of College Readiness Assessments at College Board. “We’re not simply putting the current SAT on a digital platform – we’re taking full advantage of what delivering an assessment digitally makes possible. With input from educators and students, we are adapting to ensure we continue to meet their evolving needs.”
But that’s not all. The SAT will be shorter, too, going from three hours to two. That includes shorter reading passages with only one question per passage, while the math section will allow calculators throughout, with scores becoming available within days instead of weeks. A digital test form will also make it more “practically impossible” to share answers. There will also be more time given between questions.
As for students who don’t have devices to take the exam, they can use school-issued devices, or the College Board will step in to provide resources. That means the iconic No. 2 pencils will also no longer be needed as a result.
“It’s encouraging to see the positive feedback from students and educators who participated in the pilots for the digital SAT. The changes to the test are timely and clearly centered around improving the student experience,” said Ronné Turner, vice provost for admissions and financial aid at Washington University in St. Louis. “I’m pleased that the greater flexibility in administering the test will expand access to SAT School Day, which research shows increases college-going rates for low-income students.”
The digital SAT will be delivered in 2024 for U.S. students and 2023 for students internationally.
Joe Biden Apologizes To White House Reporter After S.O.B Remark
President Joe Biden apologizes to reporter Peter Doocy after calling him a derogatory name.
United States president Joe Biden was under fire after he called a reporter a “stupid son of a b*tch” on Monday (Jan. 24). Biden has since apologized to Peter Doocy of Fox News over the phone, reports say. Doocy, however, didn’t exactly say that the president apologized.
In an interview that was conducted with Fox News after Biden muttered the shrewd comment, Doocy claimed that he called to say:
“it’s nothing personal, pal.”
When his journalist comrade, Sean Hannity, asked if Biden apologized, Doocy replied:
“He cleared the air.”
The incident took place during a meeting about price reduction. Several White House correspondents were present to get a word with the competition council, a few members of the presidential cabinet, and the president himself.
At some point, Doocy called out to Biden:
“Do you think inflation is a political liability?”
To which Biden, who was hooked up to a microphone, sarcastically retorted:
“No, it’s a great asset — more inflation. What a stupid son of a b*tch.”
Could Tom Brady Be Retiring After This NFL Season?
Tom Brady‘s run as the greatest NFL player of all time may be coming to an end, or .. not.
The soon-to-be 45-year-old quarterback just completed one of his best statistical seasons ever with the Tampa Bay Bucs.
When asked about retirement during Sunday’s post-game press conference, the star QB said, “I haven’t put a lot of thought into it,” Brady said about his future. “We’ll just take it day by day and see where we’re at.”
However, recently one of his former teammates pointed out that the football star’s immense success may be a reason why he’s considering retirement as early as this offseason.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if Tom Brady decided to walk away and do whatever he wants to do,” ex-Patriots linebacker Rob Ninkovich told ESPN’s “Get Up!”
“Right now, Tom is in bonus time. How many 44-year-old quarterbacks have we seen throw for the number of yards and touchdowns (he has)? He’ll be 45 in August. So, at this point right now, what else does he have to prove to anybody?”
Ninkovich also noted that Brady has several off-field business opportunities that could use his attention, including his TB12 Sports business and his new “Brady Brand” clothing line.
Brady has won six Super Bowl titles with the patriots and was motivated to win another, which he accomplished with Tampa Bay last season.
Ninkovich said he could see Brady simply saying “I’m done” after his contract with Tampa Bay expires offseason.
In a 2021 interview, Brady mentioned he’d stop playing when he’s no longer an effective quarterback. He also admitted last summer that his goal was to play until age 45.
Ninkovich said it’s not likely for his former teammate to play until he’s because he already has the title as “The Greatest Quarterback of All Time.”
So… could Brady be making a retirement announcement soon? It could be a possibility.
Paul Wall Reveals His Father was a “Serial Child Molester” Who Kidnapped, Groomed & Married a Young Girl
Paul Wall has revealed that his father was a “serial child molester” who abused multiple children.
The legendary Houston rapper made the revelation during an interview with the “FAQ Podcast.” He explained that when he was around 5-years-old, his mother left his father, but at the time, he was unsure why. However, his mother’s paranoia about her children being kidnapped piqued his curiosity, leading him to learn the shocking truth about his biological dad and his devious ways. Wall says his mother told him that his dad was a child molester who met and groomed a young girl. He would eventually marry her a few years later when Wall was still a child. The rapper says he hasn’t seen him since he ran off with his victim.
“He ended up kidnapping a girl. He started a relationship with her when she was 12 or 13-years-old. Then, when she became 14 or 15, he married her, and they went to Canada, and that’s the last time I seen him,” Wall explained. He also shared that after his father returned to the United States, his wife killed herself and his father served jail time for a serious drug problem.
The “Bizzy Body” star says while his father’s actions are “very shameful” and “embarrassing,” they motivated him to be the best father he could be to his two children.
Wall currently works with Parents Against Predators, an organization founded in 2009 by Sonia Parker. The Houston non-profit shields children from sexual predators through trafficking awareness, their Big Sister Program, and other initiatives to protect children.
