#RHOA: She is really serious! Porsha Williams Shares the Sweetest Photo with FiancΓ© Simon Guobadia: “Hubby Love”

Porsha Williams is sharing a sweet glimpse into her relationship with her fiancΓ©, Simon Guobadia. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum shared the most heartwarming photo with her soon-to-be husband in a recent Instagram post.

On January 8, Porsha took to Instagram to capture a precious moment with Simon. In the snuggly snapshot, the The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Porsha's Family Matters couple, who confirmed their engagement last May, can be seen smiling and sharing an affectionate hug while enjoying some quality time together at home.

“Hubby love,” Porsha wrote in a hashtag in the caption alongside the cute picture, also adding several red hearts.

While Porsha might already be calling Simon her “hubby,” the two are still very much in the throes of wedding planning. In a video on Bravo’s Instagram last month, Porsha detailed her vision for their nuptials — and from the sounds of it, it’s going to be nothing short of major.

As she previously hinted at, The Pursuit of Porsha author wants to have three weddings across the globe. “I am marrying an amazing Nigerian man, honey. It is not going to be intimate," Porsha said while playing a round of "This or That: Wedding Edition" in an Instagram clip on December 26. "It is going to be huge, probably [laughs]. It's gonna be big, but I want it to have an intimate feel."

Simon, for his part, seems to be on board with Porsha’s plans to go big. "Apparently [Porsha] has not forgotten what she said months ago," he said in a December 27 post. "I’m here to promise, she will be getting her three weddings."

You can get an intimate look at Porsha and Simon's relationship on The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Porsha's Family Matters, with new episodes airing every Sunday at 8/7c.

#MusicNews: An ‘Encanto’ Tune Has Landed Lin-Manuel Miranda His First Top-Ten Song On The ‘Billboard’ Hot 100 Chart

On last week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and other vintage holiday tunes were still dominating the top ten spots. On the new chart dated January 15, though, we’re back to non-Christmas programming, as holiday tunes are out of the top ten and Adele’s “Easy On Me” is back to No. 1 for an eighth total week.

Perhaps the top-ten song that stands out most, though, is “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from the new Disney movie Encanto. The track — which is credited to Carolina GaitΓ‘n, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy Feliz, Diane Guerrero, Stephanie Beatriz, and Encanto Cast — jumped from No. 50 last week up to No. 5 this week, making it the first top-five song from a Disney movie since Frozen‘s “Let It Go.” Aside from those two, other Disney songs to crack the top five include Vanessa Williams’ “Colors Of The Wind” from Pocahontas, Elton John’s “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from The Lion King, and Peabo Bryson and Regina Bell’s “A Whole New World” from Aladdin.

Furthermore, “Bruno” is Lin-Manuel Miranda’s first top-ten hit, as he wrote the song (and all the others from the movie). The song is also the first top-ten track for all of the credited artists. Also, speaking of Elton John, his and Dua Lipa’s “Cold Heart (Pnau Remix)” rose to No. 7 this week, making it his first top-ten hit in the US since “Candle In The Wind”/”Something About The Way You Look Tonight” in 1997.

It’s a big week for Encanto, as it was revealed yesterday that the movie’s soundtrack is No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

#HipHopNews: Kanye West Confirms ‘Donda 2’

DONDA 2 is official. Kanye West has confirmed that a sequel to his 2021 album is in the works. Moneybagg Yo revealed the news by sharing a text from Ye where he spoke about collaborating with him on DONDA 2.

“I got to lock in with you on Donda 2,” Ye wrote in the text conversation, while also seemingly discussing a separate collaboration.

This is the first time Ye has acknowledged DONDA 2. G.O.O.D. Music COO Steven Victor previously announced that DONDA 2 was happening. “Ye has started working on his new masterpiece DONDA 2,” he told Complex.

Ye was recently photographed in the studio with Moneybagg, The Game, and Antonio Brown. He also reunited with Hit-Boy during a studio session.

DONDA was finally released to streaming services in late August after a series of delays. It topped the Billboard 200, with appearances from JAY-Z, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Roddy Ricch, and more.

Ye also has plans to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin and wants to start doing Sunday Service in Russia beginning this spring or summer.

Legendary Singer Ronnie Spector, ’60s Icon Dies At 78

NEW YORK (AP) — Ronnie Spector, the cat-eyed, bee-hived rock ‘n’ roll siren who sang such 1960s hits as “Be My Baby,” “Baby I Love You” and “Walking in the Rain” as the leader of the girl group The Ronettes, has died. She was 78.

Spector died Wednesday after a brief battle with cancer, her family said. “Ronnie lived her life with a twinkle in her eye, a spunky attitude, a wicked sense of humor and a smile on her face. She was filled with love and gratitude,” a statement said. No other details were revealed.

Tributes flooded social media, from Stevie Van Zandt saying it was an honor to produce her, to Brian Wilson, who wrote on Twitter: “I loved her voice so much and she was a very special person and a dear friend.” Diane Warren called her “The voice of a million teenage dreams including mine.”

The Ronettes’ sexy look and powerful voices — plus songwriting and producing help from Phil Spector — turned them into one of the premier acts of the girl-group era, touring England with The Rolling Stones and befriending the Beatles.

Spector, alongside her sister Estelle Bennett and cousin Nedra Talley, scored hits with pop masterpieces like “Baby, I Love You,” “Walking in the Rain,” “I Can Hear Music” and “Be My Baby,” which was co-written by Spector, Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich.

“We weren’t afraid to be hot. That was our gimmick,” Spector said in her memoir. “When we saw The Shirelles walk on stage with their wide party dresses, we went in the opposite direction and squeezed our bodies into the tightest skirts we could find. Then we’d get out on stage and hike them up to show our legs even more.”

Spector, born Veronica Bennett, and her multiracial bandmates grew up in the Washington Heights area of Manhattan. They began singing and dancing in clubs as Ronnie and the Relatives, becoming noteworthy for their liberal use of eyeliner and mascara.

“The louder they applauded, the more mascara we put on the next time,” she wrote in her memoir. “We didn’t have a hit record to grab their attention, so we had to make an impression with our style. None of it was planned out; we just took the look we were born with and extended it.”

In March 1963, Estelle Bennett managed to arrange an audition in front of Phil Spector, known for his big, brass-and-drum style dubbed the “wall of sound.” They were signed to Philles Records in 1963. After being signed, they sang backup for other acts until Spector had the group record “Be My Baby” and “Baby I Love You.”

The group’s debut album, “Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes Featuring Veronica,” was released in 1964. Five of its 12 tracks had made it to the U.S. Billboard charts.

“Nothing excites me more than just being onstage, having fun and flirting and winking to the guys and stuff like that,” she told People magazine in 2017. “I just have so much fun. It’s just the best feeling when I go out and they say, “Ladies and gentlemen…” —my heart stops for a minute—“…Ronnie Spector and the Ronettes!” Then I just go out there and the crowd reacts the way they react and I can go on singing forever.”

After touring Germany in 1967, the Ronettes broke up. Spector married Ronnie in 1968, then she said he kept her locked in their Beverly Hills mansion. Her 1990 autobiography “Be My Baby: How I Survived Mascara, Miniskirts And Madness” tells an unhappy story of abuse. The couple divorced in 1974. Phil Spector was sent to prison in 2009 for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson and died in 2021.

Ronnie Spector’s influence was felt far and wide. Brian Wilson became obsessed with “Be My Baby” and Billy Joel wrote “Say Goodbye to Hollywood” in Spector’s honor. Amy Winehouse frequently cited Spector as an idol.

Martin Scorsese used “Be My Baby” to open his 1973 film “Mean Streets” and the song appears in the title sequence of “Dirty Dancing” and the closing credits of “Baby Mama.” It also appeared on TV in “Moonlighting” and “The Wonder Years.”

When the Ronettes were inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones remembered opening for the trio in England in the mid-1960s. “They could sing all their way right through a wall of sound,” Richards said. “They didn’t need anything. They touched my heart right there and then and they touch it still.”

After the Ronettes broke up, Spector continued to tour and make music, including “Take Me Home Tonight” with Eddie Money, recording Joel’s “Say Goodbye to Hollywood” with Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, and recording the 1999 EP “She Talks to Rainbows,” which included her first ever recording of “Don’t Worry Baby,” written for her by Brian Wilson.

In 2006, she released “Last of the Rock Stars,” her first album in 20 years and it featured appearances by the Raconteurs, Keith Richards, Patti Smith and the Raveonettes. In 2010 she released a doo-wop Christmas EP called “Ronnie Spector’s Best Christmas Ever” and in 2016 released “English Heart,” her covers of songs from Britain in the ’60s.

She is survived her husband, Jonathan Greenfield, and two sons, Jason and Austin.

Jennifer Hough's Harassment Lawsuit Against Nicki Minaj Dismissed, However Her Hubby Kenneth Petty Remains a Defendant

Nicki Minaj is no longer being sued by Kenneth Petty’s rape accuser, Jennifer Hough.

According to new legal documents, the harassment lawsuit against Nicki was voluntarily dismissed by Jennifer on Wednesday. Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty, remains a defendant.

Nicki’s attorney, Judd Burstein, says he still believes Jennifer’s lawsuit against Nicki was financially motivated. She’s planning to go after Jennifer to recoup money lost in legal fees.

To refresh everyone’s memory, Kenneth was convicted of trying to rape Jennifer in 1995. Last August, Jennifer filed a lawsuit naming both Nicki and Kenneth accusing Nicki of offering to pay her to change her story about what Kenneth did to her.

As of now, the lawsuit against Kenneth is still pending. We’ll see how that turns out.

Megan Fox & Machine Gun Kelly Reveal They're Engaged

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are getting married!

The couple announced the happy engagement news on their Instagrams, showing off not only her gorgeous engagement ring, but the proposal as well.

Megan was first to share the news, highlighting MGK (real name Colson Baker) dropping to one knee to ask her to marry him.

“In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree…We asked for magic,” she began. “We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.”

Megan continued, adding that “somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes.…and then we drank each other’s blood.”

MGK then shared details of her ring, which features an emerald and diamond in a linking magnetic band.

“I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022,” he explained.

Roddy Ricch Pulls Out of ‘Saturday Night Live’ Due to Covid Exposure

Roddy Ricch has pulled out of his scheduled musical-guest slot on the season premiere of ‘Saturday Night Live” this weekend and been replaced by the Jack Antonoff-led band Bleachers, according to an announcement from NBC.

A rep for the rapper confirmed that the change is due to Covid exposure on his team. The announcement came just six days after the lineup for the show was announced.

Ricch is the third musical guest to pull out of a performance on the show due to Covid-related reasons, all of which vary. In October of 2020, Morgan Wallen’s scheduled appearance was canceled by the show after photos emerged on social media of him breaking protocol just days before the show by socializing in Alabama without a mask at a crowded bar and a house party. He posted an apology soon later, saying he respected the show’s decision and noted that although he had not tested positive, “my actions from this past weekend were pretty short-sighted, and have obviously affected my long-term goals and my dreams,” he said. The show rescheduled his appearance for several weeks later.

For the final show of the 2021 season in December, Charli XCX’s scheduled performance was called off as the Omicron variant reached alarming levels in New York and “SNL” was forced to stage a dramatically scaled-down version of the show they had prepared, with a bare-bones staff and just two castmembers. That announcement was made just hours before the show was to begin.

Charli, who was to perform with Caroline Polachek and Christine and the Queens, posted on social media: “Hi everyone, due to the limited crew at tonight’s taping of ‘SNL’ my musical performances will no longer be able to go ahead,” Charli XCX wrote on Instagram. “I am devastated and heartbroken. Myself, Caroline, Christine and all our crews and teams have worked so hard all week alongside the ‘SNL’ team to bring the most amazing musical performance to life.”

In a series of posts, India said, “seeing old pictures remind me of how TRASH the music industry is. Sheer and utter TRASH.” India went on to say, “ The music industry is racist. sexist. deceitful. It steals from artists… Trash.”

So, I imagine the journey was all meant to be.” Reflecting on the old pictures that she shared, India shared that “The industry made me feel like I WASN’T beautiful. I can tell you some STORIES HONEY! But in truth – I was just WAY ahead [of] my time.”

State Trial For Three Ex-Cops Involved In George Floyd's Death To Be Delayed

The state trial for the three former Minneapolis police officers involved in the death of George Floyd could possibly be postponed from its March date.

On Wednesday (Jan. 12), Hennepin County District Judge Peter Cahill issued an order granting a request by the defense and prosecution to move the trial date from March 7, according to the Star Tribune. The judge instructed the attorneys to meet before Jan. 15 to appoint a new trial date between March 14, 2022 and Jan. 9, 2023. Cahill said that the trial date will remain on March 7 if the two parties can’t come to an agreement.

As previously reported, J. Alexander Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao are charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and manslaughter for their involvement in Floyd’s death. The three men were originally supposed to stand trial last year, but the case was delayed after Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer who knelt on Floyd’s neck, was convicted of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter for his involvement in Floyd’s death.

Lane, Thao and Kueng are also facing federal charges for the killing. They were charged with failing to render aid to the 46-year-old, whose pleas to breathe were ignored. Kueng and Thao were charged with violating Floyd’s right to be free from reasonable seizure and for not intervening or stopping Chauvin when he knelt on Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes.

Fencing has been erected around the St. Paul courthouse as the city prepares for the three former cops’ federal trial to begin on Jan. 20. The St. Paul Police Department said they are dedicated to doing everything possible to assure the proceedings are safe for all involved, saying, “our focus is on protecting people, property, and free speech.” Lane, Thao and Kueng have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Is Pete Davidson being eyed as 2022 Oscars host?

Kim Kardashian apparently isn’t the only one who has eyes on Pete Davidson.

We’re told the “Saturday Night Live” comic, 28, is in talks to host this year’s Oscars.

“His people are talking to producers,” a source says.

The normally stodgy show is looking for a “reset,” the source says, adding that the Academy wants to bring in younger viewers.

Davidson, who has been dominating headlines with his dating life, has proved that he’s able to command a real audience and draw in a younger demographic.

The source pointed out that the New Year’s Eve special Davidson hosted with Miley Cyrus for NBC brought in 6.3 million viewers.

“He gets a demographic that is hard to get,” the source said of Davidson’s appeal. “He is in a good space, his career is doing well and he is on the rise. He is a sex symbol, unlikely, but he is big with a certain generation.”

The awards show, directed by Glenn Weiss and produced by Will Packer, is set to air on ABC on March 27.

Packer previously produced the 2019 film “What Women Want,” which starred Davidson as an assistant to Taraji P. Henson’s hard-hitting sports agent character.

The Academy Awards has gone host-less since 2019, and has continued to slip in the ratings with only approximately 10.40 million viewers tuning in last year.

Craig Erwich, president of Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment, announced during the winter Television Critics Association virtual press tour earlier this month that the 2022 awards show will have a host.

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” star Tom Holland, 25, already expressed interest in the hosting gig, telling The Hollywood Reporter that the Academy has reached out to him.

Meanwhile, Deadline reported that there could be multiple hosts for different portions of the broadcast. A source told the publication that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Chris Rock are also on the wish list.

Jimmy Kimmel was the last star to host the show in both 2017 and 2018. Kevin Hart was chosen to host in 2019, but stepped down due to a controversy involving resurfaced homophobic tweets.

A rep for Davidson declined to comment.

Tupac’s Sister Takes Legal Action And Sues Executor & Trustee

All eyes are on a Petition filed in the Superior Court of The State of California by Tupac’s only sister, Sekyiwa ‘Set” Shakur. Several media reports have already confirmed this lawsuit, which involves a dispute over the duties, control, finances, and rights related to the Shakur family’s estate, which comprises most of Tupac’s music and other cherished assets.

In the lawsuit filed this week, on Monday, January 10, Set  Shakur (a/k/a “Set”) and The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation (“TASF”)  has sued the family estate’s executor and Trustee, Tom Whalley, for allegedly violating his duties, including failure to provide “compliant” accountings required under the Trust, failure to provide Set and the Foundation with an inventory of estate assets, violating the wishes of Afeni Shakur, misappropriating estate assets, converting and withholding personal assets Set claims to belong to her (not under the control of the Trustee), and creating a “conflict of interest” by serving as Executor and Trustee while also placing himself as the sole manager of Amaru Entertainment (the music and entertainment company that operates all of Tupac’s music and intellectual property).  When Tupac died in 1996, his mother, Afeni Shakur, was named the beneficiary of the estate and fought tirelessly to acquire all of his music rights and assets to benefit her family and preserve Tupac’s legacy. When Afeni passed away in 2016, Whalley was named the beneficiary of the estate.

The Petition alleges that “Whalley has already received more than $5.5 million that he has paid himself in the last five years through Amaru…[and] he has effectively embezzled millions of dollars for his own benefit well in excess of what would be reasonably necessary to retrain a property qualified third-party to perform such services.”

In the Petition, Set alleges that Whalley has refused to give up property that was inherited by their mother Afeni, including Tupac’s cars, jewelry, his RIAA certified gold plaques, Tupac’s artwork and sculptures, items of Tupac’s clothing, shoes, and accessories, and furniture taken from his homes.

The TASF Foundation, reportedly an additional beneficiary of the Trust, is a party to the lawsuit due to the community service work it provides coming from the funds it receives from the Trust and Estate.

Set and the TASF Foundation have assembled an all-star lineup of attorneys, including prominent attorneys L. Londell McMillan, who represented Prince, Michael Jackson, and Prodigy of Mobb Deep before their untimely deaths (and represented their families following their deaths), and Donald David, who formerly represented Afeni Shakur in a number of her legal cases including her lawsuit against Death Row.

In a statement to The Source, McMillan stated: “Set and the Foundation deserve the care, accountings, property, funds, and trust that Afeni expressly required and bequeathed, as well as the respect Tupac’s legacy and family deserves. That’s a fact.”

Howard King, an attorney for the executor, denies the allegations raised by Set and TASF, describing Whalley as a “long time friend and confidant” of Tupac and his mother. King states that “these legal claims are disappointing and detrimental to all beneficiaries of the trust. We are confident the Court will promptly conclude that Tom has always acted in the best interests of Amaru, the trust, and all beneficiaries.”

The suit requests that Whalley be ordered to “recompense” the estate in a minimum amount of $4 million and provide a full accounting in connection with his role as executor of the Shakur estate.

A hearing on the Petition has been scheduled for March 21, 2022

Meek Mill, Kevin Hart & Michael Rubin Donate $15 Million to Philadelphia Schools

Meek Mill, Kevin Hart and 76ers co-owner Michel Rubin have teamed up to help students in their hometown.

via: Uproxx

Even before a global pandemic knocked the education world on its hindquarters, some school systems were already hard-hit by budget issues — districts like Philadelphia providing some of the best examples. However, local celebrities are pitching in to make a difference. Today, Philadelphian rapper Meek Mill, along with hometown comic hero Kevin Hart and 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin, announced plans to donate $15 million to 110 Philadelphia schools for the 2022-2023 school year.

The $15 million figure marks a huge jump from the last big donation Meek and Rubin made in 2020 when they created a $2 million scholarship fund to help students through the pandemic and coinciding lockdowns. It also sees the partners following through on a commitment they made in 2019. During an interview on The Breakfast Club, Rubin said, “We care about education a lot. I don’t know if you guys saw, Meek and I have been talking a lot about education. We’re actually gonna commit, between Meek and I in Pennsylvania, millions of dollars to Pennsylvania schools this year.”

Meek himself has worked for years to give back to his hometown, partnering with Puma to revitalize local basketball courts, and organizing backpack and school supply giveaways. Although he was knocked in 2020 for being cheap toward some kids who were selling water, it looks like he really is trying to make good on his promises for the city’s youth.

In 2020, the Championships rapper and Fanatics CEO launched a $2 million scholarship fund for Philly students. The money went to benefit 1,000 children in the area and went toward the 2020-2021 school year. The money also helped students from pre-K to high school receive the proper resources that were needed during the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Michigan Man Accused of Killing Boyfriend Over Video Game

A Michigan man is being held without bond after killing his boyfriend of 10 years over a video game. Docquen Jovo Watkins, 31, is booked into Oakland County Jail on second-degree murder charges.

Watkins allegedly choked his boyfriend, Rory Teasley, 28, after an argument from the video game Overwatch. Overwatch is a multiplayer video shooting game that assigns players to teams.

Watkins ended up calling the police to his apartment in Pontiac after the argument to tell police that he and his boyfriend got into a fight and his boyfriend was  ‘sleeping’ on the couch.

Once responding officers arrived, Teasley was unconscious and not breathing. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Sheriff Michael Bouchard says, “We see far too often across the country these days when people resort to violence over trivial and insignificant disagreements. There is never a reason where violence is acceptable over a disagreement. Those that do so will be held accountable.”

Watkins will appear in court on Jan. 18.

Mariah Carey Announces First Children’s Book ‘The Christmas Princess’

Mariah Carey has announced the release of her first children’s book, The Christmas Princess, which will arrive later this year.

The pop star has become synonymous with the festive season thanks to her perennial seasonal hit ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’.

Announcing the new book on Instagram, Carey described it as “a fairytale for holiday lovers of all ages”.

“Little Mariah represents my inner child believing in her own vision, she represents all children, especially those who feel like outsiders or ‘others’, striving to believe in themselves,” she wrote.

“It was empowering to transform my childhood turmoil into a modern classic fairytale full of wonder and boundless hope.”

The Christmas Princess was co-written with Michaela Angela Davis, who previously collaborated with the pop star on her memoir The Meaning Of Mariah Carey. It was illustrated by Fuuji Takashi and will be published by Henry Holt Books for Young Readers in autumn. An exact date is yet to be confirmed.

In December ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ topped the charts in the US for the third year in a row. The classic track first hit the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2019 before returning to Number One in the run-up to Christmas in 2020.

When it climbed back up to the top of the pile in 2021 it became the first song to top the chart on three separate occasions. It also took the number of weeks Carey had had a song at Number One in the US to a combined 85 weeks.

A Georgia deputy suspended after saying "criminal" Ahmaud Arbery got the "death penalty"

Paul Urhahn of the Houston County Sheriff’s Department is also facing termination.

A Georgia sheriff’s deputy has been suspended without pay and is facing termination after making comments about the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.

According to ABC 7, Paul Urhahn of the Houston County Sheriff’s Office recently made the social media comment while reacting to Arbery’s murderers’ life-long prison sentences.

“That criminal arbery still got the death penalty though,” he wrote underneath one of WGXA’s social media posts about the sentencing.

The since-deleted comment drew criticism from residents across Georgia, including activist Eli Porter with the local Poor And Minority Justice Association.

“That deputy represents that entire department and for him to say something like that… It got under my skin,” Porter told ABC 7.

Urhahn’s comment was also brought to the attention of the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, which launched an investigation into the incident. That probe concluded on Monday morning (Jan. 10), ABC 7 writes, with Urhahn’s suspension taking effect on Tuesday.

According to Sheriff Cullen Talton, Urhahn broke several department policies by leaving the comment. He can, however, appeal his suspension within 10 days. If he does not appeal the decision by that time, he will be terminated from the department on Jan. 20.

Sheriff Talton released a statement about the investigation and Urhahn’s suspension, but did not apologize for the deputy’s behavior. Porter told ABC 7 he feels it’s necessary for the sheriff to apologize “to make sure that everybody knows that the sheriff’s office does not stand with what Paul said.”

As reported, Arbery’s killers — Travis McMichael, Gregory McMichael and William “Roddie” Bryan Jr. — were sentenced to life in prison last week after being convicted of Arbery’s murder in November. Judge Timothy Walmsley handed father and son Gregory and Travis life sentences without the possibility of parole plus 20 years; while Bryan will have the possibility of parole.
