#RHOA: Ya Girl NeNe Leakes Dropped $1.8 Million On Atlanta Condo Two Months After Husband Gregg's Death

Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes purchased a luxury condo in Atlanta after deciding to sell off her mega-mansion following her late husband Gregg’s death.

According to real estate records the Bravo star scooped up a 4-bedroom, 5-bathroom, 4,045 sq. ft. condo in ATL on November 1.

Gregg passed away on September 1 after a long battle with cancer. He was 66. Nene and Gregg had been living in a 5-bedroom, 7-bathroom, 9,791 sq. ft. pad in the city of Duluth since 2015.

NeNe purchased the former home for $2,075,000. She put it on the market on September 21 for $4 million. The RHOA star ended up slashing the price a couple of times before finding a buyer for $3.45 million.

The sale price means Nene scored a hefty profit. The home being sold sat on an exclusive golf course. Per the property listing, the home features “gorgeous views and impeccable landscaping.”

Other amenities include a gourmet kitchen with 10 ft. tall cabinetry, Viking appliances, marble countertops and a huge owner’s suite with a fireplace and standing tub.

NeNe’s also built a basement with an entertainment bar, wine storage, and a theatre room with “Swarovski Crystals inlay throughout the entire ceiling.”

The new residence — located in a luxury hotel — allows NeNe enters through a private entrance that leads to an oversized courtyard. The amenities include a wet bar, fireplace, oak flooring, and gourmet kitchen with waterfall countertops. The Bravo star will be able to take rides in her own elevator that provides access to each floor of the hotel. The top floor is exclusively for residents. The hotel provides for 4-5 car storage and a 24/7 concierge.

#MusicNews: Timbaland Compares The Weeknd’s ‘Dawn Fm’ To Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’

The Weeknd is on Michael Jackson’s level, according to Timbaland.

On Friday, the Canadian superstar dropped his fifth studio album Dawn FM and Timbaland is singing its praises. Taking to his Instagram Story, the super-producer compared the 16-track album to the King of Pop’s iconic Thriller album.

“This album different, yo. This shit right here, this on some Thriller shit,” said Timbaland while listening to The Weeknd’s song “Sacrifice.”

He continued to express his love for the XO crooner’s latest work. “Trust me when I tell you. And the way he dropped this shit… Yo, congrats. This shit is amazing!”

In his caption, he added, “This album is beyond great. We need a vinyl to this.”

The MJ comparisons weren’t lost on fans and critics alike. “Abel Tesfaye continues to build his case as the MJ of his generation,” the New York Post wrote in its review.

Dawn FM even features an appearance from Thriller producer Quincy Jones on the spoken interlude “A Tale By Quincy,” along with Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Jim Carrey.

Timbaland is not the only one who celebrated The Weeknd’s greatness. Rolling Stone awarded the album four out of five stars, while Variety called it “possibly The Weeknd’s best and most fully realized album to date.

#HipHopNews: Doja Cat Fan Arrested After Making Bomb Threat At Concert

A Doja Cat fan was arrested for making a bomb threat at her concert.

The “Kiss Me More” rapper was performing a free show in Indianapolis on Saturday night (Jan. 8), when the man attempted to get ahead in the entry line. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, he claimed to have a bomb or explosive device. The crowd at Monument Circle was cleared out for about 20 minutes as police assessed the situation.

“A fan wanted to advance in line so he exercised very poor judgment and told those around him in line he had a bomb in his backpack,” Deputy Chief Joshua Barker told IndyStar. “Someone did the right thing and alerted IMPD. The backpack was clean.”

Cops were called and no explosives were found. The man was arrested for unrelated, outstanding warrants as police continue to investigate.

However, the scary incident still rattled fans. “Just waited 4+ hours in the actual freezing rain so I could see @DojaCat perform,” tweeted one fan. “We were at the literal front of the line, and there was a bomb threat. I have never been so scared. People were running and screaming everywhere.

The concert, which was part of the the College Football Playoff national championship festivities, went on as planned. At one point, Doja stopped her set to break up a fight in the crowd.

“No fighting. I don’t want to see that shit. I don’t like that at all,” she told concertgoers. “I care about you and it’s way too cold out here for that shit.”

And The Category Is. MJ Rodriguez Becomes 1st Transgender Actor To Win A Golden Globe

And the category is...Golden Globes history. On Sunday, Michaela Jaé “Mj” Rodriguez, 31, took home a Golden Globe for best actress in a TV drama for her role as housemother and nurse Blanca on the FX show “Pose.” It marks the first time in history a transgender actor has won a Golden Globe.

This is also the first Golden Globe win for “Pose,” which premiered in 2018.

Rodriguez made history for the first time last summer after becoming the first transgender performer to be nominated for a lead acting Emmy. Rodriguez did not end up winning that award.

While “Pose” has been hailed for the largest transgender cast in a scripted series, the show’s stars have been vocal regarding the lack of award recognition they have received.

In 2020, “Pose” co-stars Indya Moore and Angelica Ross spoke out against the Emmys for overlooking the show’s Black transgender cast in its list nominees that year.

“Something abt trans ppl not being honored on a show abt trans ppl who created a culture to honor ourselves bc the world doesn’t,” tweeted Moore, who plays Angel Evangelista, a transgender sex worker pursuing a career as a fashion model. “Let’s call it cognitive cissonance.”

Angelica Ross, who played Black trans woman Candy Ferocity on the show, retweeted Moore and spoke candidly on Instagram about the snubs at the time.

“I want you to know from the jump that these tears are not about an award or a nomination,” Ross said. “Ultimately, I need y’all to understand that I’m so tired — those of you who know me know I’m not just working on screen or behind screen but I’m working around the clock to get our society to value trans lives and Black trans lives.”

On Sunday, Rodriguez celebrated her win on social media.

“Wow! You talking about sickening birthday present! Thank you! This is the door that is going to open the door for many more young talented individuals,” she wrote on Instagram. “They will see that it is more than possible. They will see that a young Black Latina girl from Newark, New Jersey who had a dream, to change the minds others would WITH LOVE. LOVE WINS. To my young LGBTQAI babies WE ARE HERE the door is now open now reach the stars!!!!!”

Rodriguez also shouted out her fellow nominees: Uzo Aduba, Jennifer Aniston, Christine Baranski and Elisabeth Moss.

“To the nominees we are Queens,” she wrote. “I’m so happy to share space with you! Each and every last one of you women are phenomenal.”

'Full House' Star Bob Saget Dead At 65

Bob Saget, popular comedian and actor, has died at the age of 65.

Saget, most famous for his starring role as “Danny Tanner” in long-running hit TV series “Full House,” was found dead in a room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, Sunday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

“Deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene,” said a statement.

No cause of death was immediately available. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use.

Saget had kicked off a nationwide stand-up tour “I Don’t Do Negative” in September that was scheduled to run through June of 2022. He was in the middle of Florida performances, and appeared to be thrilled with the work.

He performed in Jacksonville at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall Saturday night.

“Loved tonight’s show,” he tweeted just after midnight on Sunday. “I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this shit.”

He posted a similar message on Instagram, hailing the “nice audience. Lots of positivity. Happened [the previous] night in Orlando ... at the Hard Rock Live too. Very appreciative and fun audiences,” he added.

“I’m back in comedy like I was when I was 26,” Saget wrote. “I guess I’m finding my new voice and loving every moment of it.”

Saget said he would be back on stage in two weeks.

“Goin’ everywhere until I get the special shot,” he wrote. “And then probably keep going cause I’m addicted to this shit. Peace out.”

Saget played the beloved widowed dad on ABC’s “Full House” from 1987 to 1995 and was the host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” from 1989 to 1997. He had a reputation as a kick-ass comedian and nice guy.

Tributes were pouring in for him.

#BRONXINFERNO: 19 Dead, Including 9 Children, in New York City's Worst Fire in Over 30 Years

At least 19 people, including nine children, were killed Sunday when a horrific fire apparently sparked by a space-heater filled a Bronx high-rise with thick smoke after the door to the apartment where the blaze began remained open.

via: People “This is going to be one of the worst fires we have witnessed in modern times here in the City of New York,” Mayor Eric Adams said of the “horrific” and “painful” incident at a news conference Sunday afternoon.

Mayor Adams confirmed nine children among the dead in a second Sunday afternoon press conference.

“This fire began in an apartment that spans two floors, on the second and third floors of the building. It started in a malfunctioning electric space heater; that was the cause of the fire,” FDNY Commissioner Dan Nigro confirmed in the second press conference.

“The fire consumed that apartment that is on two floors and part of the hallway. The door to that apartment, unfortunately, when the residents left, was left open. It did not close by itself. The smoke spread throughout the building, thus the tremendous loss of life and other people fighting for their lives right now all over the Bronx,” he added.

Governor Kathy Hochul stood by Adams’ side during the latter press conference and promised to establish a victims’ fund to provide victims of the fire with the assistance they need for funerals, housing, and more.

Senator Chuck Schumer also pledged to do whatever possible at the federal level to help.

On Sunday, first responders arrived within three minutes of receiving a call about a fire that had engulfed a duplex apartment on East 181st Street in Fordham Heights, the commissioner said. About 200 members of the New York City Fire Department had responded to the blaze around 11 a.m. local time.

Firefighters were initially met with “very heavy smoke and very heavy fire” when they reached the first hallway engulfed in flames, Nigro added. “This smoke extended the entire height of the building,” he said, calling the occurrence “completely unusual.”

Nigro said firefighters retrieved victims from all floors of the building, many of which were suffering cardiac and respiratory arrest due to smoke inhalation. The fire was knocked down shortly before 1 p.m. local time.

Officials say at least 32 people were taken to at least five Bronx hospitals with life-threatening injuries, while another nine were serious. At least 22 other people suffered non-life-threatening injuries from the blaze. One member of service was taken to the hospital for an undisclosed reason as well.

“This is indeed tragic,” Nigro told reporters at Sunday’s earlier news conference. The last time New York City experienced this level of devastation from a fire, he noted, was the Happy Land social club arson incident in 1990, which also occurred in the Bronx.

Sunday’s fire remains under investigation but currently “does not appear suspicious,” per Nigro.

“We’ve spread the word: Close the door. Close the door. If you leave your apartment, the door should close behind you automatically, but it doesn’t always. But if you close the door, the smoke and fire spread is contained within that apartment instead of spreading out into the hall and up the stairs, and that’s what happened here, again,” he reiterated.

Governor Kathy Hochul said in a tweet Sunday that “the entire State of New York stands” with N.Y.C.

“I am horrified by the devastating fire in the Bronx today,” wrote the governor, 63. “My heart is with the loved ones of all those we’ve tragically lost, all of those impacted and with our heroic @FDNY firefighters.

The American Red Cross has stepped in to help assist victims of the fire, city officials confirmed.

“We are going to do everything we can to bring services on the ground here to give them the assistance they need as we all recover from the trauma of what we are witnessing here in the buildings behind us,” Adams said during Sunday’s news conference.

Legendary R&B Producerm Songwriter, Activist and Singer James “Mtume” Forman Has Died

James “Mtume” Forman, the singer behind 1983’s hit record, “Juicy Fruit,” has passed away at the age of 76.

Though “Juicy Fruit” is his most widely known record, thanks in part to Biggie Smalls, who sampled it for his 1994 hit, “Juicy,” Forman has written some of R&B’s biggest hits. Forman co-wrote Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway’s “The Closer I Get to You” and Stephanie Mills’ Billboard Hot 100 hit, “Never Knew Love Like This,” which took home a Grammy for best R&B song and best female vocal R&B performance.

In the 1980s, Forman launched his own band after his Swahili name, Mtume. After adding singer and songwriter Reggie Lucas and vocalist Tawatha Agee, they unveiled their #1 record and album named after the leaving single. The album also included other popular Mtume jams such as “You, Me and He,” “Would You Like to (Fool Around),” and “Breathless.”

Mtume has contributed music to several films and television shows in recent years, including “8 Mile” and “Notorious.”

As of now, no details have been released regarding Forman’s cause of death.

Odell Beckham Jr. & Lauren Wood Celebrate Baby Shower For First Child

(Jan. 8), the day before the big game, OBJ and Lolo welcomed some friends to their residence to have a baby shower for the child.

via: HotNewHipHop

Odell Beckham Jr. and his new team, the Los Angeles Rams, have the biggest week of their season looming. At 4:25 p.m. ET today (Jan. 9), the Rams face their division rivals the San Francisco 49ers at home to determine what seed they will be in the NFL Playoffs that begin next week.

With a win, the Rams will be the No. 2 seed and have home field advantage in the playoffs up until the NFC championship game if they face the No. 1 seed Packers. With a loss, they could fall to the No. 3, No. 4 or No. 5 seed.

Odell has already had a successful stint with the Rams for the second half of the season, having scored five touchdowns in seven games, as opposed to his 7 touchdowns in 29 games with his previous team, the Cleveland Browns.

While life seems to be going great for OBJ on the field, his home life is probably even more exciting. Back in late November, Odell and his girlfriend Lauren Wood announced that they were having a child together. Wood had a prominent baby bump at the time, and it will be their first child.

It appears they do not have a name for the kid yet, as the sign at the shower simply said “Baby Beckham.”

It is unsure how far along Lauren is in her pregnancy, but her baby bump has grown to a substantial size, so it could be arriving sooner than later.

Alex Baldwin Reacts To Claims Of Not Cooperating With Halyna Hutchins Shooting Investigation

Alec Baldwin has responded to multiple reports claiming he is not cooperating with investigators for the Halyna Hutchins shooting and says it’s “BS.”

Several sources claimed authorities issued a search warrant three weeks ago to search through the actor’s phone but didn’t receive anything. However, Baldwin has denied the claims and released a video on his Instagram page to officially confirm that all reports regarding the investigation are lies. ‘Any suggestion that I am not complying with requests or orders or demands or search warrants about my phone, that’s bull***t. That’s a lie,’ he said in the video. Baldwin further explained that he lives in New York and the investigation is taking place in New Mexico, where the shooting took place.

“Someone from another state can’t come to you and say, “Give me your phone, give me this, give me that. They can’t do that. They’ve got to go through the state you live in. That is a process that takes time. But of course, we are going to comply 1,000% with all that.”

‘The best way, the only way, we can honor the death of Halyna Hutchins is to find out the truth. I have no worries about that. That’s all going to work itself out, regardless of what they say in these right-wing rag sheets.’

According to Metro UK, investigators in New Mexico have filed a request for New York authorities to release his phone to move forward with the investigation.

#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Rules Again, ‘The 355’ Misfires

Jessica Chastain, Penélope Cruz, Lupita Nyong’o and the rest of the cast of Universal’s globe-trotting espionage thriller “The 355” were no match for “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which dominated at the box office in its fourth weekend.

The latest Spidey adventure, starring Tom Holland as the titular web-slinger, collected a leading $33 million from 4,108 theaters between Friday and Sunday, boosting its domestic tally to $668 million. After this weekend’s haul, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” stands as the sixth-highest grossing movie in history at the domestic box office, surpassing “Titanic” ($659 million) and “Jurassic World” ($652 million). At this rate, it’ll soon take the No. 5 spot, which belongs to “Avengers: Infinity War” ($678 million), and could eventually land in fourth place, where “Black Panther” ($700 million) currently sits.

Globally, the Sony Pictures film has earned a mammoth $1.53 billion, cementing its place as the eighth-highest grossing movie worldwide. It glided by “The Avengers” ($1.518 billion), “Furious 7” ($1.515 billion), “Frozen II” ($1.45 billion) and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” ($1.4 billion) to notch that benchmark.

It’s no small feat that “Spider-Man: No Way Home” generated $30 million domestically in a single weekend this far into its theatrical run. In pandemic times, most movies would be lucky to sell that many tickets in their opening weekend, much less after playing in theaters for nearly a month — all while a highly contagious COVID-19 variant continues to rapidly spread. But, as this weekend illustrates, audiences aren’t willing to leave the house and visit their local multiplex for just any movie.

Universal’s star-studded action spy film “The 355” had to learn that the hard way. The film managed to fall short of already low expectations, generating a dismal $4.8 million from 3,145 North American venues over the weekend. The bad news? It’s unlikely to rebound in its theatrical run since “The 355” has garnered mostly negative reviews (it holds a bleak 27% on Rotten Tomatoes). The good news? The film, which cost $40 million to produce, will likely move to digital rental platforms in 17 days, and it will play on the streaming service Peacock in 45 days, which could attempt to mitigate theatrical losses.

Directed by Simon Kinberg and co-starring Diane Kruger and Fan Bingbing, “The 355” follows international spies who form an unlikely team in order to put an end to potentially world-ending events. In Variety’s review, chief film critic Owen Gleiberman called it “generic, over-the-top, and 20 minutes too long, kind of like a Netflix movie.” Moviegoers were kinder, awarding the film a “B+” CinemaScore. The select ticket buyers who showed up on opening weekend were mostly female (56% of audiences), while 51% were under the age of 35. During the pandemic, it’s been difficult to get anyone other than young men to the big screen. “The 355” proved to be no exception.

“The 355” landed in third place on domestic box office charts, ranking behind “Sing 2,” which opened in theaters around Christmas. The animated musical comedy, also from Universal Pictures, added $11.9 million from 3,713 cinemas over the weekend, pushing its North American total to $100 million. It’s the first animated film to cross the $100 million mark since Disney’s “Frozen II” in 2019.

That’s a notable achievement at a time when parents haven’t been taking their young kids to the movies, though box office analysts remain concerned about the sluggish return of family audiences. In 2019, animated films generated more money than any other genre, thanks to family-friendly hits like “The Lion King” ($543 million), “Toy Story 4” ($434 million) and “Frozen II” ($430 million). There hasn’t been a single pandemic-era film geared toward kids that has been able to come close to reaching similar heights. So it was worrying to film operators that Disney has already nixed plans to release Pixar’s “Turning Red” in theaters. Instead, it will debut on Disney Plus in March.

“The industry needs the family audience back in force for a sustained recovery,” says David A. Gross, who runs the movie consulting firm Franchise Entertainment Research.

In fourth place, Disney and 20th Century’s “The King’s Man” brought in $3.3 million from 3,040 venues. So far, the prequel in “The Kingsman” action franchise has made a lackluster $25 million at the domestic box office and $49 million internationally.

At No. 5, Lionsgate’s real-life sports drama “American Underdog” picked up $2.4 million from 2,729 locations. Since opening on Christmas Day, the crowd-pleasing film has generated a so-so $18.74 million.

RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14: Fans call for Lizzo to become permanent judge as singer is dubbed a ‘queen’

We would absolutely love for Lizzo to permanently join the panel Warning: spoilers ahead for RuPaul’s Drag Race season 14.

RuPaul’s Drag Race fans were absolutely loving Lizzo as the first extra special guest judge of season 14, with several calling for her to become a permanent judge… and we’d definitely back the idea.

On the first episode of the new series, the Good As Hell singer surprised the seven queens in the Werk Room, with the remaining seven contestants due to make their arrivals next week.

On the runway, the competitors were tasked with participating in a talent show, before taking to the runway in stunning ensembles in a bid to impress Lizzo, Michelle Visage, RuPaul and Ross Matthews.

Not only did Lizzo provide sound critiques to the queens, but she was also extremely supportive of them, especially with Kornbread ‘The Snack’ Jeté after the performer received some negative feedback from Michelle.

This isn’t the first time the musician has appeared on Drag Race, having made an appearance on season 10 four years ago.

Kornbread, who won the maxi challenge, received Lizzo’s support (Picture: VH1/WOW Presents Plus)

She continued to be a hit among viewers the second time around, with many hoping that will return one day on a permanent basis.

‘It’s a Lizzo kinda day. She needs to be a permanent judge on #DragRace for sure. A f**king queen,’ one person tweeted.

‘I’m starting a petition for Lizzo to become a permanent judge on #DragRace,’ another wrote.

Another explained why they believe Lizzo would be a perfect addition to the panel, writing: ‘Imma need @lizzo to possibly find time to become a permanent judge on #DragRace cause sis brings the energy along with the commentary we love and need! @RuPaul we gotta make this happen!’

Others praised her for the way she hyped up the queens in the Werk Room, with one fan saying that it made the start of the season more about ‘happiness’, rather than ‘drama’.

Lizzo even responded to one of the tweets calling for her to become a permanent judge, writing: ‘If they’ll have me.’

Josh Duhamel Announces Engagement to Audra Mari — and Gets Congratulations from Ex Fergie

Josh Duhamel and Audra Mari are engaged! The Transformers star, 49, who has been dating Mari since 2019 following his divorce from Fergie, announced the happy news Saturday on Instagram with a photo of the couple posing by the beach.

"It's on!! She found a message in a bottle that washed ashore and said YES!! @audramari," the actor captioned the shot of the pair smiling, while he held up a handwritten letter that read: "Audra Diane Mari Will You Marry Me?"

The Jan. 8 proposal also marked another special occasion — Mari's 28th birthday.

The "Fergalicious" singer, 46, celebrated the couple in the comment section, writing, "Congrats!!!💚💚💚💚💚💚."

In December 2019, a source told PEOPLE that Duhamel was "really happy" with the former Miss World America, whom he'd begun "dating seven or eight months" prior.

The source's comment came amid a holiday party the two attended together that month, at which Duhamel and Mari "were basically together all night," an onlooker told PEOPLE at the time.

While it was not the pair's first time spotted out together, the party took place about two weeks after Duhamel's divorce from ex-wife Fergie was finalized.

After eight years of marriage, Fergie filed for divorce in late May 2019, nearly two years after she and Duhamel announced their split in a joint statement obtained by PEOPLE in September 2017.

"With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year," they said. "To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public."

Added the former couple, who share 8-year-old son Axl Jack, "We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family."

During a 2018 episode of Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast, Duhamel opened up about what he's looking forward to in the next stage of his life — including settling down again following his separation from the former Black Eyed Peas singer.

"I'm not 30 years old anymore. I'm 45. I want to have more kids in the next few years," Duhamel said at the time. "So it's more about finding someone young enough to have kids. It's not as if I'm out there trying to just f— anything. That's not who I am. I'm trying to find a girl that I can be with and have a family with."

‘Selling Tampa’ is ‘Embarrassing’ Claims DJ Envy – Cast Members Respond to His Criticism

“Selling Tampa,” which is another of the latest additions on Netflix’s real estate series “Allure Realty,” has been a hit; after all, it took its time at number 1 on Netflix’s “Top Ten” list. However, not everyone is happy about it.

The first criticism has been unleashed by radio personality and “The Breakfact Club” host DJ Envy, who insists the series is “embarrassing”. He is mainly infuriated by the fact that there is nowhere shown any home being sold, as he expected. It seems the climax was supposed to be selling a home, at least according to him, reports theJasmineBrand.

He turned the heat on Adam DiVello, the show’s creator. It so happens that DiVello is also the creator of another real estate series called “Selling Sunset,” which sold homes. It seems DJ Envy expected the same from “Selling Tampa.”

On an Instagram post, he did a quick comparison between the two series and gave his verdict. Here is his uncensored lamentation:

“The Same person created both these shows…. SMH. 1 show sold no homes… NONE!!! Kind of embarrassing…The other show sells homes…Hmmm…Anybody else watches these shows??”

Adam DiVello, who last month posted on IG his excitement about the show’s success, has not yet responded to Envy’s concerns. But he may not have to, for the ladies in the series have responded and said all that can be said.

Anne-Sophie Petit-Frere, one of the cast members, replied in the comment section thus:

“Yes thank you so much for watching. The show was filmed throughout a few months and chopped up to just a few episodes 30mins long. We had many closings, but I guess it’s hard to fit all of that content in just a few episodes, so they chose the “juicer” ones cause let’s face it people want to be entertained”

She was soon joined in the comments section by Juawana Colbert, her co-star. Colbert said, “@djenvy thank you for watching #sellingtampa and for posting about the show. We welcome you and anyone else who didn’t the sales that was on the show to rewatch it. I personally was apart of one sale that was the largest Allure Realty has had.”

She then added, “My question for everyone on here is who did you use to buy or sale your property(s) did they look like us or no? See y’all on Season 2? Godwilling”

Another cast member, Sharelle Rosado, also joined. Rosado is engaged to Chad Johnson. On her part, she invited DJ Envy to ‘The Breakfast Club’ her top-rated radio show for further discussion on Envy’s concerns.

“@djenvy how about you have me on the breakfast club so we can discuss this ?? Place me on your calendar please #Sellingtampa”

She then added, “people are still comparing a season 1 to a season 4 and not understanding the storyline of Selling Tampa…it’s a new all-black brokerage that is breaking into the luxury market…so of course they are not going to show all the normal homes we sell…I think that is what people are not understanding.”

Black Female Officers File Suit Against Baltimore Police Department, Alleging Race and Gender Discrimination

Police Sgt. Danika Yampierre gave birth to her third child on a sidewalk and that’s just one of the reasons she decided to press charges against the Baltimore Police Department. She’s joined by three other Black women—Sgts. Jasmin Rowlett and Welai Grant and former Sgt. Tashawna Gaines.

Yampierre is a 15-year police veteran who in official documents filed last year, states that she had to undergo emergency surgery because of complications from the birth.

All the women allege they’ve faced discrimination based on race and gender. Their reports which initially started as complaints, were met with ridicule and retaliation.

“I would never want my children to experience this and to see everything that I’m going through,” Yampierre told NBC. “I’m supposed to be their hero.” In addition to race and discrimination, Yampierre is also suing for discrimination based on pregnancy-related disability.

The women are being represented by Dionna Maria Lewis, an attorney who spoke to the increasing number of Black female police who are reporting and seeking damages for discrimination and sexual harassment, especially in big cities. “Now, we have law enforcement women stepping up and finally saying enough is enough,” she said.

In September, the assistant police chief in Washington, D.C. was one of 10 Black women who filed a class-action lawsuit against the city who was told as a cadet to get an abortion, or lose her job. She was 18 at the time. The same week as the class-action suit, 3 cadets filed a separate complaint for retaliation and sexual abuse.

A common theme across all cities has largely to do with race and gender discrimination with sexual assault.

Last month, retired New York Policewoman Gillian Roberts, a Black woman, filed suit against Capt. Jeffrey Brienza, a white man, she alleges, raped her repeatedly even going as far as to arrange her schedule to allow for more time with her. After filing an official complaint with internal affairs, she began being called the ‘Captain’s Girl.’

Fear of retaliation is often a motivator for silence among Black female police. Lt. Charla James-Hutchison, Sgt. Dione Alexander and Sgt. Sabrina Braswell-Bouyer had each been with the Pierce County, Washington, Sheriff’s Department for more than 25 years and alleged in their civil suit filed on Nov. 1, the department participated in and ignored racial and gender-based discrimination and harassment and allowed a “culture of animosity towards African Americans and women to grow and fester."

As for Yampierre and the other three women, the Baltimore Police Department declined comment.

Rev. Al Sharpton to Eulogize Girl Killed by LAPD Stray Bullet + Activists Plan Caravan After Funeral

*Valentina Orellana-Peralta‘s funeral will be held on Monday, January 10 at 11am, at the City of Refuge Church, in Gardena, California. As we reported, the 14-year-old girl was killed last month in North Hollywood, California, by a police officer’s stray bullet. Rev. Al Sharpton will officiate the funeral and eulogize the teenager.

The activist and Baptist minister’s National Action Network announced the girl’s funeral details on Wednesday evening. According to the report, the girl was hit by a stray bullet fired by a Los Angeles Police Department officer. The officer was on duty on December 23rd, responding to a distress call about a man alleged to be assaulting a customer in a clothing store in Burlington, which led to the sad incident.

The girl was present on the scene at the time, on the store’s second floor in the company of her mother. She was trying on dresses when the stray bullet penetrated the dressing room wall and claimed her life.

The girl and her mother, Soledad Peralta, previously lived in Chile and moved to the U.S. about six months ago.

Some people who plan to attend the funeral service include Orellana-Peralta’s relatives, Bishop Noel Jones, the senior pastor at the church, and community members. Other attendees include Ben Crump, a reputable family attorney, Rev. Al Sharpton, who will be officiating the service, and Rahul Ravipudi, all of whom will address the congregation.

The camera footage released after the incident showed a bleeding lady on the store’s second floor and an uncontrollable male suspect who is said to have beaten the woman with a metallic bike lock.

The suspect, Daniel Elena Lopez, a 24-year-old male, died on the scene from the shots fired. Unfortunately, screams were also heard at the time from the dressing room where Orellana- Peralta had been trying clothes.

According to LAPD Chief Michel Moore’s statement, the teenager’s death was devastating. He further proceeds to say that the chaotic incident that led to the innocent girl’s death was both tragic and devastating for everyone affected.

In related news, a coalition of Los Angeles community activists and parents will hold a drive-by caravan for justice immediately after the funeral services of Valentina Orellana Peralta

“The caravan is sponsored by activists and parents calling for Attorney General Rob Bonta to ensure there is justice and accountability in the slaying of Valentina Orellana-Peralta by an LAPD officer,” stated Najee Ali Director of Project Islamic Hope

Location: Attorney General Rob Bonta office

300 Spring Street

Downtown Los Angeles CA 90012

According to Najee Ali, the caravan will leave after the funeral services  should arrive outside AG Bonta office about 1 hour after funeral services are completed

Friend who bought rifle for Kyle Rittenhouse accepts plea deal

Dominick Black, Kyle Rittenhouse‘s older friend who purchased the assault-style rifle for him, will plead no contest to contributing to the delinquency of a minor to avoid convictions on the two felonies he’s facing, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

According to the outlet, Black, who is now 20-years-old, purchased the Smith & Wesson M&P 15 rifle for Rittenhouse at a hardware store in Rusk County, Wisconsin in May 2020. Black was 18 at the time, while Rittenhouse was 17, and legally unable to buy the firearm himself.

Three months after Black bought the gun for his buddy, Rittenhouse used it to kill two people and wound a third during protests for Jacob Blake in Kenosha.

During Rittenhouse’s contentious trial, Black was the first witness prosecutors brought to the stand. His case could be affected by Judge Bruce Schroeder’s decision to honor the defense’s request to toss the unlawful possession of a firearm as a minor charge — which was a misdemeanor, carrying a maximum of nine months in jail.

At the time, Rittenhouse attorneys Mark Richards and Corey Chirafisi pointed out an exception in the state law that allows minors to possess shotguns and rifles as long as they’re not short-barreled. Since Rittenhouse’s rifle’s barrel was longer than 16 inches, the minimum barrel length allowed in the state, Schroeder dismissed the charge.

Schroeder is also the judge in Black’s case, so his attorney hopes his client will receive the same leniency. According to kenoshacountyeye.com, Kenosha County Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger filed a proposed plea agreement suggesting Black would plead no contest to a non-criminal citation and accept a $2,000 fine to have the felony counts dismissed.

It’s unclear whether Judge Schroeder will reject the deal or simply dismiss the original felony counts due to his previous ruling in the Rittenhouse trial. A hearing for Black’s case is scheduled to occur on Monday (Jan. 10).
