Hollywood icon Salma Hayek is gracing the cover of InStyle’s July issue. The actress opens up about her personal experience with Harvey Weinstein, ageing in Hollywood, and her marriage to one of fashion’s most powerful men, François-Henri Pinault.
On Harvey Weinstein: “Some people got raped,” she says. “It makes you wonder if you had said something [back then], would it have been different? How come I didn’t have the courage? But I dealt with it to the best of my ability at the time.” That meant getting the movie made despite Weinstein’s intensifying efforts at sabotage. “For me Frida was a political statement, a social statement, a feminist statement,” Hayek says. “It was my way of screaming. And Harvey used my way of screaming to repress me even more. So I could not let him win.”
On ageing in Hollywood: Given “how much mileage I put on my body,” she explains, “and how much pressure and judgment I put on it, my body has been incredibly generous. I don’t think I am some hot tamale, but I know that for my age, for the lifestyle that I lived, I’m not doing too badly. And I attribute all of this to meditation.”
On starting out in Hollywood: “Many people told me, ‘You’re no good, you’re never gonna make it,’ ” she says. “What if I had listened to those idiots?” Then she corrects herself: “I did listen to them. I would cry myself to sleep, and give up, and then try again just a little bit—almost embarrassed to admit my dream of being an actress.”
On her next project and personal connection: “I shouldn’t be telling you this,” she says, before explaining that she’s written a script for a movie she’s been hoping to direct for about 17 years. “I’m highly dyslexic,” Hayek notes. “English is my second language, and I’m not a good writer. But this was too personal and too complicated for me to find a writer to do it, so I had to write it myself.” Hayek is currently shopping it around and can’t reveal more details but says, “It’s a completely original script, and I emphasize ‘original.’ The problem is, it’s not a cheap movie.”
On her marriage to François-Henri Pinault: “We understand each other really well. One friend said, ‘I cannot believe that out of all of us, the one who cares the least about fashion is the one who landed that guy!’ So I told my husband this. He laughed and said, ‘That’s why you landed me.’ ”

#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey Wants You to Make Her Potato Salad Recipe for Summer!
Like many of us over these past 15 months, Cynthia Bailey has spent a lot of time in her kitchen. There’s a good chance, however, that the Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s stovetop has seen more action than most. “My kitchen is where it all goes down and everything happens,” the 53-year-old model, entrepreneur, and actor says. “It's where we socialize.” And, um, also where she gets busy. “I think we’ve even had sex in there,” she says with a laugh. “Yep, that kitchen has been fully used in every way!”
Bailey married Fox Sports host Mike Hill last fall—on 10/10/20, as fans of the reality show well know. Since then, she has been working to maintain a balance between her career and personal life. “I have been working on my businesses, like my wine cellar, and I’ve been focused on my marriage,” she says. “Getting married is part one, and being married is part two.”
She continues, “You can’t get married and be like, ‘Alright, babe, we’re married and now I’m off on a book tour!’ This is not my first rodeo; it’s my second marriage, and it better be my last. I’m going to do everything in my power to really figure out that happy spot between my career, life, marriage, and my kids.”
One thing that seems to make everyone happy in the Bailey household is her “comfort-food, self-proclaimed amazing” potato salad, which she’s been making for years. “I basically took my mom’s recipe and removed the things I didn’t like and perfected it,” says the Alabama native. “It just reminds me of childhood and takes me back home every time I eat it.”
While potato salad might seem simple to some, Bailey says this recipe can change anyone’s opinion. “Here’s the thing: You can’t eat everybody’s potato salad, because everybody don’t make good potato salad,” she explains. “I am officially the potato salad maker in my family and my group of friends. If I’m bringing a dish, I’m going to bring my potato salad. I’ll put it up against anybody.”
So with that said, we got the official potato salad maker to share her recipe as part of Glamour’s ongoing series, That Thing I Always Cook. “It’s a feel-good recipe that you just have to love because it makes you happy,” she says. Bon appétit!
Cynthia Bailey’s Potato Salad (Serves 6)

Ingredients
6–8 small red or white potatoes
½–⅔ cup chopped red onion
½ cup chopped bread-and-butter pickles
1–2 pimientos (optional)
2 tablespoons Duke’s Mayonnaise or Hellmann’s
1–2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard, to taste
3 hard-boiled brown organic eggs (optional)
Instructions
Peel and boil the potatoes until they’re fork tender (you can leave them unpeeled if you prefer); let them cool, then cut them up to a size you like, and put them in a large bowl.
Finely chop up at least half of an onion, if not a little bit more, and add it to the bowl. I prefer red onion, but you can use the onion of your choice. It’s to taste. I don’t cook the onion ahead of time, but you can. You can sauté them in olive oil to get that strong onion taste down.
Chop the bread-and-butter pickles, and add. I like my potato salad to have a sweet taste, so I do at least a half a cup, but you can do more or less to your taste. I’m really heavy-handed with them. They have to be chopped up; you can’t cheat and do sweet relish or regular pickled relish. You gotta get the bread-and-butter sweet pickles and chop ’em up on your cutting board. That is key.
Pimientos are optional as well for a little red color. Sometimes I’ll just chop a few of those up and mix those in there.
Add the mayo. The secret is in the mayo. I only use Hellmann’s or, if I’m in the South, they have a mayonnaise from a Black-founded company called Duke’s. It is the best.
Add the mustard to taste. I really love the old grain-style mustard with the big mustard seeds inside there. I use a couple of tablespoons of that to taste. I don’t like it too mustardy, but I like the way it makes it look. It also gives it that little tangy taste. I don’t want the dish too mayonnaise-tasting, so the mustard kind of gives it a tartar taste. I would say use two tablespoons, or to your own taste, for the mustard.
Chop three hard-boiled eggs and add. I use organic. When I finely chop them up, I keep the yolks as well. But know that the eggs are optional. Sometimes I make the potato salad with them, sometimes I don’t.
Mix. The dish is best served cold, or room temperature. Definitely not warm. I usually cover it with plastic wrap, and I’ll leave it in the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before I serve it.

“I didn’t wanna pull out all my tricks at once,” H.E.R. told Variety. “My first few [releases] were just a small piece of who I am musically, and it was a matter of time before I could reveal others. I’ve always been a huge fan of Coldplay and Led Zeppelin and Radiohead and alternative and rock and blues, but it wasn’t until this album that I started digging into those other elements and bringing them to R&B.”

Lil Baby & Lil Durk are taking The Voice of the Heroes on the road. The two rap stars dropped their collaborative album back on Friday, June 4th. Following its first week success of 150,000 album units, the two proved to be a 2 headed rap-trap monster.

Lil Durk and Lil Baby first announced the project back in 2020. Historically, collaborative rap album announcements are made prematurely, *cough cough*( J. Cole & Kendrick Lamar, Drake and Rick Ross, to name a few). The ATL and Chi-town link up was seamless from beginning to completion.
They even decided to collective change the initial May 28 release date to pay respects to fallen rapper, DMX. X’s posthumous Exodus album was released on that day.
Now The Voice of the Heroes will be coming a city near you in the Fall. The first stop is in Mansfield, MA on Sept. 1. and ends in West Palm Beach, FL on Oct. 15.
Carl Nassib of The Las Vegas Raiders announces he is gay, pledges $100,000 to Trevor Project!
HENDERSON, Nev. -- Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Carl Nassib on Monday became the first active NFL player to come out as gay.
Nassib, 28, made the announcement in an Instagram post.
"What's up people?" Nassib posted. "I'm at my house here in West Chester, Pennsylvania. I just want to take a quick moment to say that I'm gay. I've been meaning to do this for a while now, but I finally feel comfortable enough to get it off my chest. I really have the best life, I've got the best family, friends and job a guy could ask for.
"I'm a pretty private person so I hope you guys know that I'm really not doing this for attention. I just think that representation and visibility are so important. I actually hope that like one day, videos like this and the whole coming-out process are just not necessary. But until then, I'm going to do my best and do my part to cultivate a culture that's accepting, that's compassionate and I'm going to start by donating $100,000 to the Trevor Project."
The Trevor Project provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to the LGBTQ+ community. It commended Nassib's announcement, saying in a statement that his donation will help it "scale our life-saving crisis services to reach the more than 1.8 million LGBTQ youth who seriously consider suicide each year in the U.S."
Said Nassib: "They're an incredible organization, they're the No. 1 suicide-prevention service for LGBTQ youth in America. And they're truly doing incredible things. And I'm very excited to be a part of it, help in any way that I can and I'm really pumped to see what the future holds."
Reaction to Nassib's announcement was immediate throughout the NFL and sports world overall.
In a statement, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the league "is proud of Carl for courageously sharing his truth today."
"Representation matters," Goodell said. "We share his hope that someday soon statements like his will no longer be newsworthy as we march toward full equality for the LGBTQ+ community. We wish Carl the best of luck this coming season."
NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith added: "Our union supports Carl and his work with the Trevor Project is proof that he -- like our membership -- is about making his community and this world a better place not for themselves, but for others."
After Nassib's announcement, Raiders owner Mark Davis told ESPN: "It's 2021. All the more power to Carl. It doesn't change my opinion of him as a person or as a Raider." Coach Jon Gruden added via text message to ESPN: "I learned a long time ago what makes a man different is what makes him great."
The team also responded to Nassib's post on Instagram with three black hearts as well as with a tweet:
James Franklin, Nassib's former coach at Penn State, said, "Carl's brave announcement will forge a path for others to be true to their authentic self. I was proud of Carl when he led the nation in sacks, but I'm even more proud of him now."
GLAAD, an LGBTQ advocacy organization, called Nassib's announcement "a historic reflection of the growing state of LGBTQ visibility and inclusion in the world of professional sports."
"... Carl Nassib's story will not only have a profound impact on the future of LGBTQ visibility and acceptance in sports, but sends a strong message to so many LGBTQ people, especially youth, that they too can one day grow up to be and succeed as a professional athlete like him," GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said in a statement.
Nassib joined the Raiders in 2020 as a free agent on a three-year, $25 million deal, with $16.75 million guaranteed. He had 2.5 sacks and an interception in 14 games, with five starts, for Las Vegas last season.
A third-round pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2016, Nassib also played two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before joining the Raiders. He came to national attention as a star of the Browns' "Hard Knocks" appearance in 2018, giving financial advice to teammates and offering his take on the existence of aliens.
Former Missouri linebacker Michael Sam became the first openly gay player to be drafted in NFL history in 2014, when the Rams took him 249th overall. He was cut by the team at the end of training camp that year and never played a regular-season game in the NFL.
Ryan Russell, a free agent at the time after playing three seasons between the Dallas Cowboys and Buccaneers, came out as bisexual in a story published by ESPN in 2019.
Nina Simone’s Business Associate Reportedly Said Kamala Harris Upheld Late Singer’s Wishes!
Kamala Harris was dragged by Nina Simone’s granddaughter over the weekend after the late singer’s estate tweeted their disapproval of Chloe Bailey’s Soul of a Nation performance.
“Nina’s granddaughter here. My family doesn’t run her estate anymore. It was taken away from us & given to white people. Our family name was DRAGGED in the media. We get NO royalties, nothing. Wanna hold someone accountable? Ask Kamala Harris why she came for my family,” ReAnna Simone tweeted.
She continued to sound off on the Vice President and revealed that her family is struggling financially.
“With grandma Nina being as famous as she is. With all of these artists covering her. Her name & likeness being used by damn near everybody. Why is it that her family is living paycheck to paycheck? Why do I have to consider stripping to pay my bills?”
ReAnna threw another jab at Harris for using Nina Simone’s music during her inauguration.
“OH WAIT, While we’re asking Kamala questions ask her why after all of this pain and suffering she put us through a Nina Simone song was sang at the inauguration to swear her in as VP?! She knew what she was doing.”
TMZ obtained Nina Simone’s will and it appears that Kamala Harris upheld the singer’s wishes. She “put the bulk of her estate assets into a charitable trust to benefit the musical education of Black African children from Ghana, Liberia and South Africa,” as per the outlet.
Nina appointed “Miriam Makeba as the trustee, and if Miriam was unable to act as trustee, MM could appoint a successor to continue to run the trust for the benefit of Black African children.”
Nina Simone passed away in 2003 and her daughter, Lisa, was ultimately in charge of her estate and trust.
Lisa was accused of misappropriating funds in 2013 and was relinquished of the rights to Nina’s work.
Sinbad Almost Lost Out on A Different World Role so He admits HE LIED to get on!
How different would A Different World have been without Sinbad? On an episode of E!'s Reunion Road Trip, the 64-year-old comedian reveals to his former co-stars that he almost didn't book A Different World. Looking fondly back at his time on the NBC sitcom, Sinbad, who played Coach Walter Oakes between 1987 and 1991, shares how he went from a stand-up comic to an on-camera personality.
"I gotta admit…I was scared," he expresses. "Now y'all don't understand, Different World was like, ooh!"
At this moment, Sinbad makes a big reveal: he first auditioned for the show as the warm-up comic. "This is what I never told y'all," he continues. "I heard that they were looking for a comic to warm up the audience."
Despite not knowing what the job entailed, the legendary comedian reveals he decided to go for it anyway. "I had never warmed up a studio audience," he tells the Reunion Road Trip camera. "So, I was lying."

Per Sinbad, that's exactly what the casting agent said. "I'm doing well, and then I said I warmed up Magnum, P.I.," he recalls in a confessional. "And that's outdoors, no studio audience."
Apparently, the executive was ready to fire Sinbad, who was on the verge of getting a job offer. So, what happened?
"[Bill] Cosby said no," Sinbad explains. "So, he said, 'This man should be on TV.' I said, 'Well, you know, you could make that happen if you…'"
And the rest, as they say, was history! He concludes, "It's rare you find actors who do comedy. I said, 'They're funny.' I swear to God, I said, 'Guys, sitting down watching Jasmine and Cree, it hurts."

Hair-care products have been crafted, clothes sewn, and they even have ownership stake in an NBA team. They want to show that success that can be had when there is a focus on “diversity, equity, inclusion and other ethical practices with good business.” Proudly will only partner with businesses that are seeking to make a positive change with their own practices, specifically when it comes to the diversity of their recruitment efforts and treatment of their employees. They are leading the charge with Pamela Cholankeril, formerly of Estée Lauder Companies Inc., as president of Proudly, and dermatologist Naana Boakye, MD who helped to formulate the ingredients in the much-needed line.
“It is imperative that skincare brands take into account the structural and functional differences in melanated skin prior to formulating skin care products,” Dr. Boakye said in a statement. “If not, the ingredients in the products can cause skin irritation, hyperpigmentation, or possibly exacerbate an existing condition. In formulating each and every Proudly product we have taken into account each ingredient that would help maintain the wellness and health of the skin barrier.”
Proudly is set to be released at the tail end of 2021 through the brand’s website, proudlycompany.com, and will roll out to national retailers soon after.

The Supreme Court Sides With Athletes In NCAA Compensation Battle!
The Supreme Court has sided with athletes in the ongoing NCAA compensation dispute.
While Monday’s ruling does not offer athletes salaries, it does state that the NCAA cannot impose rules limiting education-related benefits to athletes. These benefits include tens of thousands of dollars for things including tutoring, study abroad, and internships.
Current NCAA rules declare that student-athletes cannot be paid, and the scholarship money offered by schools is capped at the cost of tuition. The NCAA had defended its regulations as needed to preserve the amateur nature of college sports. Moreover, they contended that a decision in favor of the athletes might blur the border between college and professional athletics, with universities attempting to entice talented athletes by paying thousands of dollars in education advantages.
Shawne Alston, a former West Virginia football player who helped launch the case, said that the NCAA’s regulations on education-related remuneration were unjust and violated federal antitrust laws designed to promote competition. The Supreme Court upheld a lower court finding prohibiting the NCAA from enforcing those restrictions.
As part of the ruling, the NCAA itself can’t prohibit colleges from offering additional education benefits to Division I basketball and football players. However, individual athletic conferences may still set limitations if they choose.

Chrissy Teigen Addresses Reports Of Doing Meghan Markle-Style Oprah Tell-All!
American supermodel Chrissy Teigen has given an update on how she is coping with the cyber bullying scandal she has been stuck amidst since the past few weeks.
While pulling into the carport of her West Hollywood residence, the author was asked by TMZ about reports of her wanting to do a tell-all with Oprah Winfrey about the scandal.
"I have no idea about the Oprah interview,” said Teigen.
She also revealed that she is “doing good” after her fall from grace following allegations of bullying placed on her by reality star Courtney Stodden.
Earlier, during an interview with TMZ, reality star Courtney Stodden said they would also love to get in on the drama if it helps people realize the bully that Teigen has always been.
"Oprah has a really big platform and I think that if it helps saves lives by me sharing my story I would consider it,” they said.
"I would consider it. I think that it’s important to be kind in this world and there’s been so much meanness happening and a lot of deflecting. So I would consider it if it helped people,” they added.
Stodden had accused Teigen of bullying them in the past and allegedly also asking them to kill themselves. Since then, Teigen has issued a lengthy apology, making amends for her past behaviour.
Kevin Hart Reveals How Cheating Scandal Impacted His Children, Says Daughter Was ‘Tough’ on Him!
Comedian Kevin Hart spoke candidly with his longtime friend Will Smith in a Father’s Day “Red Table Talk” episode.
Hart spoke about being a dad during the intimate sitdown and addressed some things he isn’t proud to admit.
Smith invited Hart to come on the show to converse about stereotypes about Black fathers and shared his confessions about raising kids, Yahoo reported.
Hart fathers four children, daughters Heaven, 16, and Kaori, eight months, and two sons Hendrix, 13, and Kenzo, 3.
Hart took the time to also speak on the 2017 news that he stepped out on his wife Eniko Parrish, who was pregnant at the time.
“You’re never prepared for that side of it,” Hart said, recalling telling his children about what he did. “Having a little girl in my life, it’s tough. You don’t realize the impact that your mistakes can truly have. When the kids get involved, it’s a different feeling.”
He said the most challenging part was discussing the matter with his daughter, Heaven.
“My daughter was tough on me; until this day, my daughter is tough on me,” he said. “Getting my daughter to understand that I was sorry, that I made a mistake — that was real. Through my public debacles, I’ve got on some armor. It’s very hard to bother me. But when your child shows disappointment, shows emotion, shows, ‘I don’t understand why,’ and you’ve got to have those conversations — (your) head drops for the first time. You realize there’s an emotional cord that nobody else has the privileges of ever touching.”
He acknowledged that although he can brush off the critics and media, he understands that may not be so easy for his daughter.
“My daughter had a talk with me about her mother that rocked me. She checked me,” he recalled to Smith. “She said, ‘I want you to stop saying because when you say these things, Dad, this and this and this.’ ‘But honey, I don’t mean — I’m just talking.’ ‘It doesn’t matter, Dad.”
“It’s not just talking. … You unleash dogs on people,” Smith added.
“’But honey, I’m just being myself,'” Hart continued. “‘Dad, you can’t.’
Smith also recalled his similar experience with his ex-wife Sheree Zampino, with whom he shares son Trey, 28.
“(Sheree) would always say I had to be careful how I talked about our marriage and our divorce, and I didn’t realize. It really took me years to comprehend. She was like, ‘Whatever you say, the world is going to punish me for that, so you are giving people permission to say and do things to me on the street.”
Hart then switched the conversation to co-parenting with his ex-wife, Torrei Hart—who is also the mother of Heaven and Hendrix.
“I am very lucky to have two amazing mothers,” Hart said. “Me and my first wife, we’ve had our ups and downs. But we’re in a great space of understanding.”
As for blending families, Hart says, “You carry out your personal grudges,” Hart said. “Your personal grudges, whether you believe it or not, affect your kids. There’s an energy. You both have an energy. I’ve definitely made mistakes by participating in the bad energy. I went through the heavy phase of ‘I’m right, you’re wrong.’ You’re stubborn.”
The two have since worked hard on working towards a healthier post-divorce relationship.
Judge Temporarily Blocks Damon Dash From Selling ‘Reasonable Doubt’ As NFT
A federal judge on Tuesday temporarily blocked hip-hop producer Damon Dash from selling an NFT of Jay-Z’s classic rap album “Reasonable Doubt.”
Manhattan federal Judge John Cronan issued a temporary restraining order that prohibits Dash from selling the album as a non-fungible token — a digital art form traded in an online marketplace — after Roc-A-Fella Records sued Dash over his plan last Friday.
“If the plaintiff’s allegations prove true … the plaintiff is likely to suffer irreparable injuries,” Cronan said of the suit, which alleges Dash is attempting to sell what he does not own.
The judge scheduled a subsequent hearing in the case for next Thursday.
In the suit, lawyers for Roc-A-Fella Records allege Dash, Jay-Z and a third man named Kareem Burke each own a one-third stake in the record company — and Dash is not the sole owner of the album’s copyright.
The record company, which shot to the top of the hip-hop industry after the 1996 album sold more than 1 million copies, accused Dash of “frantically scouting” for a venue to sell the album — but alleges he has no right to do so.
“The bottom line is simple: Dash can’t sell what he doesn’t own. By attempting
such a sale, Dash has converted a corporate asset and has breached his fiduciary duties. His planned auction of Reasonable Doubt would result in irreparable harm,” the suit states.
Dash, 50, told Page Six on Monday that the allegations in the suit are false — and that Jay-Z is trying to “bully” him out of the hugely successful record company.

Not Trick Daddy saying the legendary Queen Bey can't sing. The Bey Hive is in overdrive after the Miami rapper turned reality star came for Beyoncé during a recent call on Clubhouse.
According to audio shared by Gossip Of The City, Trick came for the 28-time Grammy-winning singer while discussing female artists.
"Beyoncé ain't trying to give back to music, and Beyoncé don't write music. Beyoncé can't sing," he said before additionally attacking Bey's husband and legendary lyricist Jay-Z.
“I’mma say my unpopular opinion right now: Beyoncé is to R&B what Jay-Z is to New York. That’s why they together," Trick continued. "Jay-Z ain’t never won the greatest rapper alive. Whoever put him on a level like that?”
The Love & Hip Hop Miami star went on to say that Jay is only successful because "New York lost Biggie and they needed a hero."
After the audio began making its rounds on social media, Trick's L&HH co-star and radio show co-host, Trina, weighed on his comments, posting a supportive message for Queen Bey on Instagram.
"ALL day, Everyday... The Queen 👑🐝🧡," Trina captioned a video of Beyoncé performing.
Trina was not alone in her support of Bey. As one might expect, the Bey Hive went into full attack mode, coming to Bey's defense on Twitter.
Sabrina Peterson Accuses Rapper T.I. of Offering Rapper $25k to Kill Her!
Sabrina Peterson, the former friend of T.I. and his wife, Tiny Harris, has accused the rapper of hiring a Grand Hustle artist to kill her for $25,000.
During a recent interview with Hollywood Unlocked, Peterson detailed her allegations against the celebrity couple.
Peterson made headlines earlier this year when she accused the rapper of threatening her with a gun. She explains the alleged incident in-depth, as well as other alleged crimes the couple is accused of committing.
“The first victim allegedly had the same gun that was pulled on me, her three children were forced in the closet at gunpoint. She described the same gun [from T.I.]. She described the same exact gun. There’s no way that this woman would be able to vividly describe this gun unless she actually seen this very gun,” she claimed.
“Oh, he put a silver revolver long-nose all chrome gun to my head. If you look at the pictures of the guns they confiscated, that was one of the ones that was on the table,” she continued. “So, for her to vividly say this and for me to have an eight-year-old that’s been victimized and put on front street with lies. That triggered her.”
She then says that one of T.I.’s artists later told her that he was offered money to end her life.
“One of his people that worked for him came to me and told one of his security guards that was also on his record label, maybe like right when I came home from prison, he was laughing. He was like, ‘You know that n*gga tried to pay me to kill you?” she alleges.
She says he was offered $25,000.
T.I and Tiny have vehemently denied allegations of violence, kidnapping, drugging, trafficking, and all sexual misconduct. They are yet to respond to Peterson’s latest claims
Chris Brown, Once Again, Accused Of Assaulting Woman Who Says He Smacked Her Weave Off!
We all have habitual habits in some shape or form. You’ve got the pizza lovers of the world, weed connoisseurs of all types, audiophiles aplenty and some that dabble in all three at once — highly recommended! However, nobody’s habit should be putting their hands on a person, a woman at that, yet somehow that’s what controversial R&B dancer Chris Brown seems to alway be in the headlines for.
The latest assault claim on Breezy comes from a woman who says — don’t laugh, either! — that he hit her in the back of the head so hard that her actual weave top flew off.
TMZ reported on the story exclusively, claiming law enforcement told them that police were called to the singer’s now-infamous house in San Fernando Valley. The woman alleges that Brown slapped her, making part of her weave fall off, and a battery report on “Fine China” Chris soon followed. No arrest have been made so far, and TMZ alluded to the charge either getting filed as a misdemeanor or completely being thrown out altogether once the city attorney gets the case.
While we understand that people make things up, and sometimes musicians are targeted for just being famous, it’s very hard to believe CB is a victim of defamation. We don’t even have to mention that Rihanna assault case from ’09 to make the point clear, but there has to be something going on with this man for him to constantly be put in situations where women, year after year, are saying he laid hands on them.
For the sake of Black Music Month, we can only hope this former R&B darling can come to a point in his life where controversy like this doesn’t always overshadow his attempt at a successful career.
