Actress, model and activist Yara Shahidi covers the latest issue of Hunger magazine.
She is no stranger to being on the front page of a major fashion magazine. For the new issue of Hunger, Yara covers the magazine in an exclusive Chanel look, styled by Jason Bolden and photographed by Jamie Nelson.
The Grown-ish star wore a black tank top, accessorized with a large diamond Chanel necklace. Yara‘s bold silver-blue eye shadow and huge Afro took her beauty look to another level that can’t be reached.
It’s no surprise that Yara styled in Chanel. In 2018, the actress earned a coveted spot as a U.S. brand ambassador for the luxury fashion house. Since then, she’s starred in countless beauty videos, attended events on Chanel‘s behalf, and, of course, had front row seats at the shows in Paris wearing Chanel designs.

Poor Eva Marcille barely got off the plane from her gorgeous Grecian honeymoon when "Real Housewives of Atlanta" drama found her.
Apparently, Eva and one of her bridesmaids, Seannita, had a huge falling out in the days leading up to Eva's wedding. From the footage we saw, it looked like Seannita was the one acting like the bridezilla.
When Eva got back from her honeymoon, she met up with Kandi Burruss and confided in her that Seannita ended up choking out her wedding planner -- at her wedding! Kandi was flabbergasted, as were we.
Eva also told Kandi she and Mike were eager to move out of their townhouse, which they rent, and into a house on some great land that they could then renovate. She said they wanted a temporary place to stay in the meantime, which didn't really make sense to Kandi. "That's a lot of money to spend, though," she warned. "You just spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on your wedding."
Eva then revealed they were looking to move into the temporary place in just two days. Kandi was taken aback but didn't say too much. In the comfort of her confessional, though, she said the whole thing seemed "fishy" to her, which brings us to our next point.
On the other side of town, Marlo Hampton invited NeNe Leakes and Tanya Sam over for girls night. Marlo is the queen of shade, and given her tumultuous past with Eva, she didn't miss the opportunity to tell the girls that Seannita had contacted her after the wedding to spill all kinds of negative tea on her former friend.
Among the claims were that Eva's a "fraud," that her husband's also broke, that her credit is so terrible she has to rent their home in someone else's name, and that they have to move imminently because they're being kicked out. NeNe was legitimately screaming. Tanya's mouth was on the floor.
Marlo then called up Seannita and put her on speaker so she could back up what Marlo was saying. She did, gladly, then added that Eva's car had been repossessed.
Fast-forward to Kandi's Old Lady Gang II opening. Tanya said hello to Eva and almost immediately pulled her outside. Tanya ended up telling Eva everything Marlo had told her. Eva was visibly hurt but wasn't terribly shocked. She knew immediately who had been spreading the gossip and also knew why they went to Marlo with it.
She went back inside, said hello to NeNe, asked for her purse and stormed out of the restaurant. Producers were seen and heard apologizing to Eva, who had already made up her mind that she was leaving. She ripped off her mic, got in her car and peeled out of the parking lot.
Back inside, NeNe ripped Tanya a new one for telling Eva. She didn't feel it was Tanya's place to fill her in on what Marlo had said, but Tanya begged to differ. NeNe ended up calling Eva and urging her to come back to the restaurant so that she could control her own narrative and address the conversation head on.
Eva and Mike drove back to the restaurant, where they met up with NeNe in the parking lot. Mike was just as upset. According to both Mike and Eva, Eva's ex -- the father of her first child -- follows her everywhere she goes. He was abusive to her and is a constant threat, so they have to move around constantly and rent out homes under aliases.
With NeNe's guidance, Eva went back inside and explained herself to the ladies. Marlo told Kandi she didn't believe any of it.

#Empire: Serayah McNeill wishes Jussie Smollett 'best of luck' and sending prayers his way!
"Empire" stars can't even escape questions about Jussie Smollett at the Kids' Choice Awards.
Serayah McNeill walked the orange carpet at Nickelodeon's annual awards ceremony Saturday night when she was asked about the 36-year-old actor's legal woes.
"You know what? It's a sensitive issue," McNeill, 23, told Entertainment Tonight. "But you know, I wish the best of luck to him and I'm sending prayers his way." McNeill also revealed that "Empire" is hitting the road.
"We are going on a tour. The 'Empire' artists are going on tour, so that will be really, really fun," she said. "The scenes are just going to elevate and the character storylines are just elevating. I'm really excited."
That news may come as a blow to Smollett, who was accused of staging his own hate crime in an effort to increase his salary on the series — an allegation Smollett and his attorneys have vehemently denied.
Last month, McNeill opened up about life on set following the scandal.
“I think it definitely has an effect on everyone,” she admitted. "Right now, everyone is fine and everyone is finishing up the season and being professional about it. Everyone is acting very professionally, we all love this show and we have a job to do.”
"Empire" producers and showrunners previously revealed that Smollett would be cut from the remaining episodes of season 5.
Lee Daniels, the co-creator and executive producer of "Empire," said last week of "Empire" post-scandal, “These past couple of weeks have been, a freaking roller coaster,” he began. “Me and my cast have experienced pain and anger and sadness and frustration and really don’t know how to deal with it. Because it happened… everything has happened, which you are seeing tonight, happened prior to the incident. And this was not what the show as made for. The show was made to bring America together… to talk about the atrocities that are happening right now in the streets.”
#MusicNews: Angie Stone Announces New Album ‘Full Circle’
Things have come Full Circle for Angie Stone. The R&B veteran has announced plans to release her eighth studio album on June 7 via Conjuction Entertainment, Inc. / Cleopatra Records.
Consisting of 10 tracks, Full Circle will feature a promising duet with Jaheim titled “Gonna Have to Be You” and the lead single “Dinosaur.” The telling track is set to impact urban Adult Contemporary radio on Tuesday, March 26, according to Mediabase.
Full Circle marks Stone’s first studio album since 2015’s Dream. The album included her top 20 R&B hit “2 Bad Habits.” A year later, she re-recorded classics by Stevie Wonder, The Five Stairsteps and Neil Diamond for Covered in Soul.

#HipHopNews: Legendary Philadelphia Battle Rapper Tech 9 Has Died
Tech 9, born Akeem Mickens, and most famously known for being one of battle rap’s modern greats passed away this morning. Tech 9 was very widely appreciated across the culture for his contributions and skill. Not only could he take you out in a battle but he transitioned into being a legendary commentator, too.
Many fans were confused initially confusing him for the similarly-named rapper Tech N9ne. Tech N9ne had nothing but appreciation for the Philly-born emcee. He took to social media to say a few words after news of his passing broke amid calls from his own family asking if he was healthy.
“Sadly it’s true. We lost a Philadelphia and battle rap legend and pioneer,” battle rapper Buttah From The Block told XXL. “Unfortunately we haven’t fully figured the cause of death. We are praying that it was natural causes. He had no signs of harm done to his body.”
Well-known rappers such as Kendrick Lamar, Lupe Fiasco, Denzel Curry, and Lloyd Banks have also hopped onto Twitter to show some love for Tech 9 and wish his family the best.
Tech 9 most famously made his impact in the Ultimate Rap League (URL). People would tune in just to see him rhyme. He used his gift of turning a phrase and top-of-the-dome thinking to give you the most colorful commentary during other battles. Rest in peace to a rap legend.
Oh? Mel B Claims She Had Sex With Spice Girls Bandmate Geri Halliwell: ‘She’s Going to Hate Me for This’
Were Scary Spice and Ginger Spice more than just friends? According to Melanie “Mel B” Brown, the Spice Girls bandmates had sex during their time together in the girl group.
Mel B, 43, addressed the rumored romantic relationship between her and Geri Halliwell during an appearance on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.
“You were coming here to be brutally honest. … Did or didn’t you [sleep] with Geri Halliwell?” the host asked the former America’s Got Talent judge in a sneak peek shared by Good Morning Britain on Monday, March 25.
While Mel B initially played coy, telling Morgan that all of the women in the band “slept in a bed together, but not like that,” she nodded her head in agreement after he asked again.
“She’s going to hate me for this because she’s so posh in her country house with her husband,” Mel B said, after noting that Halliwell had “great boobs.”
Halliwell married motorsport racer Christian Horner in 2015. The pair share 2-year-old son Montague.
Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm, a.k.a Sporty Spice, who was in the crowd for the taping, looked shocked after Mel B’s apparent confession.
“I don’t know anything,” Mel C said. “I don’t. This is all new to me.”
A source claims that “nothing actually happened between Mel B and Geri.”
“This is all just a bit of silliness and Mel got carried away in the moment with Piers,” the source claims.
Mel B’s headline-making interview comes weeks before the Spice Girls are set to hit the road together for the first time since their performance at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games. Mel B and Halliwell will be joined by Mel C and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) for the 13-date tour, which kicks off in Dublin on May 24. Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) will not participate.
According to Morgan, Mel B called Halliwell after the Friday, March 22, interview taping.
“I said, ”Where’s Mel?’” he explained. “They said, ‘She’s just making a call to try and smooth things over.'” I BET!

Is there more trouble in paradise? Wendy Williams stepped out on Monday, March 25, without one key accessory: her wedding ring from her husband of 21 years, Kevin Hunter.
The Wendy Williams Show host, 54, was spotted leaving her New York City sober living home without any jewelry on her left hand. She tried to keep a low profile by wearing the hood of her animal-print puffer jacket over her head. Later on Monday, she slipped her ring back on for a taping of her syndicated talk show.
Williams’ decision to forgo her massive diamond rock comes amid renewed interest in the state of her marriage. The Daily Mail and Entertainment Tonight reported in recent days that Hunter, 46, has been having an affair, with the latter claiming that the TV producer’s alleged mistress is pregnant with his baby.
Williams and Hunter, who share 18-year-old son Kevin Jr., have repeatedly denied allegations that he has been unfaithful. Earlier this month, the Ask Wendy author made it a point to tell viewers that she was “still wearing” her wedding ring.
“He is my best friend, my lover. He’s all this and he’s all that,” she said on her March 4 episode. “I’m still very much in love with my husband. … Anybody who has been married for five minutes or 500 years, you know marriages have ebbs and flows. Patti LuPone Joins Second Season of FX's Pose
Patti LuPone is set to appear in the second season of the FX series Pose. According to Deadline, creator Ryan Murphy made the announcement at PaleyFest March 23, surprising both the audience and the show's cast, including stage alums Billy Porter and Mj Rodriguez.
No word yet on who LuPone will play, but Murphy did reveal that the second season will jump from the '80s to 1990, with the first episode set the day Madonna's released "Vogue"—the single that brought the ball culture staple to the masses. (Incidentally, LuPone has been quite vocal about her thoughts on the pop star's performance in the film adaptation of Evita, the show that brought LuPone her first Tony Award).
LuPone, currently Olivier Award-nominated for her performance in the London revival of Company, is no stranger to the Murphy universe, having appeared in American Horror Story: Coven and as herself in a cameo on Glee.
The series explores the height of New York City's LGBTQ ball scene, predominantly through the lens of the Black and Latinx queer community that shaped it. In addition to Porter (who will direct an episode in the second season) and Rodriguez, the cast includes Dominique Jackson (Incongruence), Hallie Sahar (Charm), Ryan Jamaal Swain (Choir Boy), Indya Moore, Angelica Ross, Charlayne Woodard, Dyllon Burnside, Evan Peters, Kate Mara, James Van Der Beek, and Angel Bismark Curiel.
The second season is slated to premiere in June.

Yonkers Man Arrested For Stomping Elderly Woman On NYC Subway
Mark Gomez, 36 of Yonkers, New York, is today’s Donkey of the Day for his actions on a New York City subway.
According to reports, A man has been arrested after he was seen on video kicking an elderly woman in the face on a subway in the Bronx, police said.
On Sunday, March 10, at about 3:10 a.m., inside of the Nereid Avenue/ White Plains Road subway station, a man approached a 78-year-old woman who was seated, and began to punch and kick her numerous times in her face and her body, police said.
The horrendous assault was captured on cellphone video.
The disturbing footage shows the man kicking the seated victim six times, twice in the head and four times in her upper body, before walking off the subway yelling, “Now Worldstar that!”
The woman, who was seen with several bags, tried to block the kicks with her left hand, while stunned passengers watched, the video showed.
Dr. Dre deletes post celebrating daughter's college acceptance after backlash over $70 million donation
The music mogul, whose real name is Andre Young, has a building at USC named after him.
Dr. Dre has removed an Instagram post about his daughter getting into the University of Southern California after receiving backlash over a $70 million donation he gave the school in 2013.
Dre, whose real name is Andrew Young posted on a photo of himself and his daughter Truly on Saturday. The musician wrote in the now-deleted post that Truly had gotten into USC "all on her own" with "no jail time!"
The rap mogul was referencing the parents charged with bribing college coaches in order to secure college admissions for their children. "Full House" star Lori Loughlin was indicted for paying $500,000 in bribes to get her two daughters into USC.
Truly may have gotten into USC legally, but fans were quick to point out that Dre and his business partner Jimmy Lovine made a $70 million donation to the school in 2013. The money went towards the creation of the Jimmy Lovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and Business Innovation.
Dre deleted his Instagram post Sunday.

Take them to church! Katy Perry and fiancé Orlando Bloom were among the slew of celebrities that attended Kanye West’s concert and church service in Calabasas, California, on Sunday, March 24.
The “Roar” singer, 34, was dressed in head-to-toe pink with a matching baseball cap, while the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 42, was casual in jeans, a white tee and a bomber jacket with a red and black checkered pattern.
The Elizabethtown actor proposed to the American Idol judge in a helicopter on Valentine’s Day. “We went to dinner, and I thought we were gonna see some art after dinner, but we pulled up to a helicopter. … It was really sweet. He asked me to marry him in a helicopter,” the singer told Jimmy Kimmel during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on February 25.

T-Boz & Chilli Plan To Bring The TLC Story To Broadway
TLC says they haven’t shared their whole story just yet. Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas sat down with ‘Cheddar’ and revealed that ”TLC: the Broadway Musical” is closer than fans anticipated.
Chilli said in the interview, “We have so many stories to tell. We didn’t tell it all in our biopic we did with VH1. A lot of good stuff. It’s gonna be very emotional but a good ride.”
She also shared that the two have been working on new music, but not necessarily for a new album but the upcoming Broadway musical. There is so much more of the #TLC story that has never been touched on according to the group, including Left Eye’s time at Death Row Records, the girl-group Blaque, Chilli’s relationship with singer #Usher, or T-Boz’s tumultuous marriage to rapper Mack10.
Chilli said, “We’re so blessed to have longevity, and a lot of our music is timeless. When you’re in the studio working you have no idea if your song is going to be like that. Time tells that. So, we’re very blessed.”

Celebrity Lawyer Michael Avenatti Charged For Trying To Extort More Than $20 Million From Nike
Celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti has been charged for trying to extort more than $20 million from athletic apparel company Nike.
Avenatti was arrested on Monday after he threatened to tear down the mega company’s market capitalization by $10 million by releasing damaging information that would ruin Nike’s image. The attorney, who once represented adult film star, #StormyDaniels, has also been accused of embezzling a client’s money “in order to pay his own expenses and debts” of himself, his law firm and coffee company, and of “defrauding a bank in Mississippi,” prosecutors said.
According to a criminal complaint, Avenatti met with an attorney for Nike in March 2019. During the meeting, Avenatti reportedly threatened to release damaging information about the company if Nike didn’t pay him and his co-conspirator millions. He was accused of demanding Nike to pay $1.5 million to someone he claimed to represent, CNN reports. “I’ll go take 10 billion dollars off your client’s market cap…I’m not f***ing around,” Avenatti said, according to the complaint. “And I’m not continuing to play games,” he added. “You guys know enough now to know you’ve got a serious problem and it’s worth more in exposure to me to just blow the lid on this thing.”
Just before his arrest, Avenatti tweeted, “Tmrw at 11 am ET, we will be holding a press conference to disclose a major high school/college basketball scandal perpetrated by @Nike that we have uncovered. This criminal conduct reaches the highest levels of Nike and involves some of the biggest names in college basketball.” Avenatti, 48, was taken into custody in Midtown Manhattan at 12:30 p.m. by FBI agents; about 15 minutes later.
Avenatti is set for a court hearing on Monday for charges of conspiracy, extortion and transmitting interstate communications with intent to extort.
California Mosque Set On Fire, Suspect Leaves Graffiti Referencing New Zealand Terrorist Shootings
An Escondido, California mosque was set on fire over the weekend, and the culprit left graffiti referencing the two New Zealand mosques shootings that left 50 people dead.
Escondido Police Lt. Chris Lick said there were seven people inside the Islamic Center of Escondido when the fire occurred around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday. One person spotted the flames, and the group was able to extinguish the fire before it caused any serious damage.
Once police and firefighters arrived, they were quickly able to determine the fire was intentionally set using an accelerant. However, the arsonist is still at large. In the meantime, the graffiti left by the suspect will hopefully provide information on who set the mosque on fire.
Escondido police and fire investigators, in addition to a regional bomb/arson task force, agents with the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives are investigating the incident as an arson and a hate crime.
Lt. Lick said, “Everyone should remain absolutely vigilant and watchful at their prayer centers. If there are people who are not supposed to be there, please give us a call.” He also said officers plan to keep a close eye on worship centers in the area and encouraged the public to report any suspicious activity near religious centers.
Dustin Craun, the executive director of the San Diego office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, called for increased security and police protection at Islamic institutions.
Craun said in a statement, “It is disturbing enough that some sick individual would attempt to burn a house of worship to the ground, but referencing the slayings in New Zealand is beyond the pale. While the majority of humanity has responded to the tragedy to draw closer to one another and refute hatred, a violent and hate-filled minority seeks further divisions.”
