Taylor Swift Covers the January 2018 Issue of 'Vogue' UK
New Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful honors the controversial pop star with her first post-"Reputation" high fashion spread.

Taylor Swift has undergone a pretty significant rebrand to coincide with the release of her new album "Reputation." She's darker, moodier, sexier and generally more grown up in matters of the heart and personal relationships, and this change in attitude is reflected in her recent (mostly black, goth-leaning) fashion choices. Swift's last big makeover came in 2016, when she debuted a bleach blond bob on the May cover of Vogue ahead of the Met Gala (where she infamously hooked up with Tom Hiddleston behind Calvin Harris's back, an event recalled in the lyrics to "Getaway Car"), and on Monday, Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful revealed the controversial pop star's first high fashion post-"Reputation" cover for the January 2018 issue of Vogue UK.
Shot by Mert and Marcus, the cover image — which accompanies the story entitled "Taylor Remade" — features a studded red dress by Anthony Vaccarello for Saint Laurent, accented with a smoky eye, black lipstick and high-shine finger waves for an element of Old Hollywood glamour. The industry's been waiting with bated breath for Swift to make her magazine comeback, as she's been largely off the radar since Kim Kardashian's scathing GQ story dropped in June of last year. But by the looks of it, Swift has come out of the drama fiercer than ever — at least sartorially speaking — and Enninful already has some major bragging rights two issues into Vogue UK tenure for snagging the artist before anyone else.

#RHoA:  NeNe Leakes has turned 50 Check her UPGRADE!
RHOA star NeNe Leakes just turned 50 years old the past week, on December 13th. This woman managed to come quite a long way, and her career has taken off. She’s now got scripted roles, designing, comedy and more. She has also leveled up in the baked goods department.

NeNe admitted that her husband Gregg usually gets her ‘grocery store cake’ and she also posted a photo of the amazing cake that he’s bought her this year.
NeNe hosted a star-studded birthday bash at her home, and a plain grocery store cake wouldn’t have sufficed for such a huge event. She even wore five outfits!

NeNe’s cake for the 50th anniversary has eight tiers, and each of them was dedicated to a different designer! One of the displayed ‘NeNe’ in massive blinged out lettering.

ATL baked goods made this fantastic cake and this goodie was not only stunning by according to NeNe is was also incredibly delicious.
It seems that the bakers literally had to build this incredible cake from the ground up, but it was all worth it. The birthday lady enjoyed everything she had at her party this year. Both of her two closets.
She has a closet for the shoes – let’s not forget that she is a self-proclaimed ‘shoe-w*ore’ – and another one for her clothes. NeNe showed off all her luxury. We bet that everyone saw those fantastic 10K YSL boots.

#EMPIRE: Taraji P. Henson finally confirms two-year romance with former NFLer
For the past two years, there's been well-founded speculation that Taraji P. Henson was dating former NFL cornerback Kelvin Hayden. She's now finally publicly confirming the romance.
"I'm not the type to blast my personal business. But, you know, I think that's important for people to know. I'm happy. I'm very very happy. I just am," the "Empire" actress said on Essence's "Yes, Girl!" podcast.

Taraji, 47, seems to think that this is the real deal, too.

"I'm happy in my personal life," she said. "Finally, it happened to me!"
The romance was first reported in December 2015 when the actress and the athlete were photographed holding hands in Miami.
Kelvin, who won a super bowl with the Indianapolis Colts and also played with the Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons, has appeared on Taraji's Instagram feed over the years, but she never gave a formal confirmation that they were an item. The way she saw it, she didn't need to.
"It was all over The Shade Room anyway," she said, referring to the popular Instagram page. Despite the confirmation, she never gave a timeline on when the duo began dating.
In the chat, she also spoke about her award-winning career and surrounding herself with "real love" from a professional standpoint.

"I don't really put a lot on what I do because, you know, people love you when you're in the limelight. But what happens when the lights go off?" she said. "So, those people care about me no matter what, and those are the people I keep close to me. So, I never buy into the hype. They love you when you hot, and they love you when you not, you know? So, I never buy into that fake love. I got so much real love around me that I'm not confused."

Good for Her!

#NEWHIPHOP from New Music: Rotimi feat. Ty Dolla $ign & Trey Songz – ‘Kitchen Table (Remix)’
Rotimi serves up another hot one with the remix to “Kitchen Table” featuring Trey Songz and Ty Dolla $ign.
The trio cooks up for the melodic track about a raunchy feast with seductive lyrics that hold nothing back. “You keep lookin’ at me like that and you gone make me turn this bed  into a kitchen table,” the guys sing to their respective partners. “Lay it down, legs spread on the kitchen table.”

It’s a holiday gift for listeners, but Rotimi made it clear that “#ThisAintNoChristmasCarol.” Plus, it’s a perfect trio for R&B lovers and for the “Power” co-star, who beamed about his collaborators.

“Trey is my big brother and mentor to me and Ty has become a really good friend,” Rotimi told Complex. “No two artists could’ve helped me paint a more perfect picture of what goes down on the kitchen table.”

The original version appears on the R&B crooner’s Jeep Music, Vol. 1 EP, which dropped in August featuring 50 Cent.

#HUH? Eminem Says He Uses the Gay Dating App Grindr and Fans Can’t Tell If He’s Joking
Say what? Eminem sat down with Vulture for an extensive interview, published on Monday, December 18, and discussed everything from his new album, Revival, to his thoughts on Donald Trump’s presidency. He also opened up about his dating life, and one of his responses left some fans a bit confused.
“Since my divorce, I’ve had a few dates and nothing’s panned out in a way that I wanted to make it public. Dating’s just not where I’m at lately,” said the 45-year-old rapper, who was previously married to Kim Mathers from 1999 to 2001 and again briefly in 2006. When asked if he uses any dating apps, Em responded, “Yeah, Tinder. And Grindr. I also used to go to strip clubs.”

Eminem’s revelation that he uses Tinder may not come as a huge surprise to fans. However, Grindr is geared toward gay and bisexual men, which raised a few eyebrows because Eminem identifies as straight.
“Eminem casually mentions in an interview he uses Grindr and the reporter DOESN’T follow up?? Worst journalism of the year,” one Twitter user quipped. Another wrote, “Wait….what?! EMINEM IS ON TINDER?!? (And Grindr?!?) Not enough exclamation marks for this.”

Other fans said it seemed obvious that the 15-time Grammy winner was joking. “am i missing something or is it not obvious the eminem grindr thing was a joke,” one person tweeted. A second user wrote, “I really think Eminem was joking about Grindr guys, y’all are running a mile to stretch this story.”

Slim Shady faced backlash earlier in his career for his homophobic lyrics, but he explained to Rolling Stone in 2013 that he used the language in a “tongue-in-cheek” way. “Those kind of words, when I came up battle-rappin’ or whatever, I never really equated those words [with homosexuality],” he said. “It was more like calling someone a bitch or a punk or a–hole. … But the real me sitting here right now talking to you has no issues with gay, straight, transgender, at all.”

Here’s what you need to know about the GOP’s Tax Reform Bill!
The GOP tax bill passed through Congress with Republican majorities in both houses carrying the tax reform package to President Donald Trump’s desk, where he is expected to sign it into law. But the legislation that breezed through the House and squeezed through the Senate is complex, so it’s hard to know exactly when tax reform will effect taxpayers across the U.S.

Some of the Republican tax bill’s impact will begin at the start of 2018, though other elements won’t take effect until 2019 and beyond. For instance, when you file your 2017  taxes in April, you’ll already be getting some benefits like lower tax withholding, but other perks won’t show until you file your tax return in April 2019.
If you’re trying to get your finances ready to take advantage of the Trump tax plan, here’s what you need to know:

Make your 2018 charitable donations now
If you’re one of the many filers who will benefit by taking the GOP tax bill’s increased standard deductions — and you previously deducted charitable contributions under the old tax plan — consider making your 2018 charitable donations before the ball drops on New Year’s Eve. By using the new, bigger standard deductions, you’re agreeing not to itemize your returns, which means it’s not financially beneficial for you to give to charities in 2018. This is a point of contention for nonprofits and opponents of the bill. But there is one way to make sure both you and charities benefit (at least at the moment), and that’s by putting your 2018 contribution on your 2017 taxes instead.

Tax brackets change on January 1
With changes to the tax rates, the GOP tax bill brings tax cuts to almost all of the seven tax brackets beginning in 2018. That means the current rates, from 10% for the lowest bracket to 39.6% for the highest earners, will change and look like this:

Tax withholding changes early in 2018
According to the Internal Revenue Service, new guidance about tax withholding will be issued in January, which means the amount of taxes that come out of your paycheck could change as early as February.

Standard deduction increases will take a while
For the 2017 tax year, the standard deduction for single taxpayers is $6,350. In other words, you won’t get to use the newly passed $12,000 standard deduction when you file your 2017 taxes in April 2018. Likewise, married couples filing jointly will see a bump from $12,700 to $24,000, but that won’t impact their household finances until they file in April 2019. So, don’t start budgeting around that big tax return, yet.

Obamacare isn’t going away, yet
Donald Trump and the Republican Party fought all year to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA). And though their healthcare push fell short, they were able to insert language into the GOP tax bill to eliminate the ACA’s individual mandate, the clause that financially penalized taxpayers if they did not sign up for health insurance. However, the individual mandate doesn’t end until 2019, so don’t go dumping your healthcare yet.
At more than 560 pages, the GOP tax reform bill has a lot more intricacies, and there are undoubtedly many more ways to plan ahead for your taxes. But these five pieces will help the majority of households prepare for the big changes ahead.

Tim Norman Files Restraining Order Against Jennifer Williams
“Sweetie’s Pies” star Tim Norman has filed a restraining order against his ex-boo Jennifer Williams of “Basketball Wives” fame after she allegedly went psycho on him.

Via TMZ:James “Tim” Norman filed for a restraining order against Jennifer, and in the docs says she’s taken rage out on his car. James says he was driving around Sunday afternoon in L.A. when he spotted Jennifer tailing him.

According to the docs, James parked at home and an hour later went outside to find 2 of his tires slashed. He reported it to cops, and says this was just the latest incident. In the docs, he says last summer — when they were still dating, mind you — Jennifer got behind the wheel of HIS car, and tried to run him down. James — who’s on the reality show “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” — says he had to dive out of the way or die.

He also claims she’s broken into his pad, sent him harassing texts and threatened he’s “playing with the wrong one.” James says they broke up in September, and Jen’s just angry he’s moved on with a new gf.
The restraining order was granted, and Jennifer has to stay 100 yards away. We’ve reached out to Jennifer’s reps.

LA Lakers Retire Kobe’s Two Jersey Numbers At Half-time Ceremony
Kobe Bryant with family and LA Lakers officials during a ceremony to retire both the numbers he wore as a Los Angeles Laker at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. (12-18-17).
*Monday night (12-18-17) at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, Lakers legend Kobe Bryant was honored by having both his #8 and #24 jerseys retired and will forever hang on the hallowed walls of the building for fans to see going forward.
As you can imagine, celebs up the kazoo as well as many of the team’s past legends were on hand to give props to Bryant, who retired after the 2015-16 campaign as an 18-time All-Star, a 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player and two-time NBA Finals MVP, two-time NBA scoring champion and two-time Olympic champion.

Here’s the full story via AFP: Five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant was hailed as the "greatest" Los Angeles Laker of all Monday by fellow legend Magic Johnson in a ceremony to retire Bryant's jersey numbers.

The tribute came at half-time of the Lakers' Staples Center matchup against the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors, with Bryant's Numbers 8 and 24 joining other inspirational Laker icons from the team's 70-year history.
"We're here to celebrate the greatest to ever wear the purple and gold. He made us rub our eyes and wonder what did we just see," said Johnson, now Lakers president of basketball operations.
"There will never, ever be another Kobe Bryant."

Bryant played 10 seasons in each retired number, winning three titles in the single-digit uniform top and two in the higher number jersey.
"Thank you so much for tonight," Bryant told the crowd, which chanted his name while giving him a standing ovation.
"It's not about my jerseys that are hanging up there for me. It's about the jerseys that were hanging up there before."

Many of the team's past legends were on hand to welcome Bryant, who retired after the 2015-16 campaign as an 18-time All-Star, a 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player and two-time NBA Finals MVP, two-time NBA scoring champion and two-time Olympic champion.
Bryant, 39, said fans inspired him to put in the work every day that became his trademark over two decades with the Lakers, an unprecedented feat.
"Those times are the dream," Bryant said. "It's not the destination. It's the journey. If you accomplish that, your dreams won't come true -- something greater will."
With a nod to his "Black Mamba" nickname, Bryant closed his remarks with, "Mamba out."
With his family on hand to watch, Bryant was honored with the mention of such career highlights as his career-high 81-point game in a 2006 victory over Toronto, the second-highest point total in any game in NBA history.
Also acknowledged was his final game, when he became the oldest player in NBA history to score 60 points, hitting the mark on the number in his farewell victory over Utah.
"There will never be an athlete in his last performance to top this man's performance -- 60 points. Man," Johnson said.
The most emotional moment came when Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, who has helped keep the Lakers heritage together, paid tribute to Bryant.

"What we're celebrating is the journey you took us on for those 20 years," Buss said.
"If you separate the accomplishments of each of those jerseys, both of those players would be in the Hall of Fame.

"We asked for your hustle and you gave us your heart which was so much more. You have forever made your mark on this franchise."

Michael Jackson Child Molestation Lawsuit Dismissed
A judge has dismissed a lawsuit against the late Michael Jackson. A choreographer, who is now 35-years-old, had alleged the pop star molested him as a child. This week, a judge dismissed it, which resolves one of the last major claims against Jackson’s holdings.

The Judge ruled against Wade Robson, the accuser, finding that the two Jackson-owned corporations, which were the remaining defendants in the case, were not liable for Robson’s exposure to Jackson. He did not rule on the credibility of Robson’s allegations themselves. Robson’s attorney plans to appeal.
Robson says he met Jackson when he was 5 years old. He testified in Jackson’s defense at the singer’s 2005 criminal trial, saying he had spent the night at Jackson’s Neverland Ranch more than 20 times and usually slept in Jackson’s room, but Jackson never molested him. Jackson was acquitted in that trial.

Years later, in 2013 (about the singer’s death) Robson sued the Jackson estate for an alleged molestation that spanned a seven-year period. A court ruled in 2015 that Robson had filed his lawsuit too late to get any of Jackson’s estate. That left two remaining defendants, both corporate entities owned by Jackson in his lifetime: MJJ Productions, Inc., and MJJ Ventures, Inc.

The judge ruled that those two corporate defendants could not be held responsible for Robson’s exposure to Jackson.
