Ciara Spends Time and performs With Nigerian Kids!
Over the weekend, Ciara jetted to Lagos, Nigeria to perform and to spend time with a few kiddies. Right before she hopped on the plane, CiCi took to her Facebook page to announce she’s postponing the second leg of her JACKIE Tour.
The tour was supposed to kick off March 30th in Anaheim, but chick decided she needed more time to work on new music and to work on giving an incredible show. This is the 2nd time she delayed the tour after it was originally scheduled to kick off in November.

She posted:
New dates have not been made available as of yet.
While we’re sure her American fans are upset, her Nigerian fans were happy to see the “I Bet” singer swoop into their hometown this weekend. CiCi was in town to perform, but she also made time to give back.
The “Body Party” singer stopped by Ilado Community Junior High and The Akande Dahunsi Memorial Senior/Junior High School to chant positive mantras with the kiddies who were uber excited to see her. They also also performed some of her tracks for her. She dubbed the day one of the best days of her life

Super Tuesday: Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump notch key wins
Hillary Clinton has picked up Democratic primary wins in Georgia, Virginia, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas and Texas. She addressed supporters at a rally in Florida and pledged to "work for every vote" going forward.
"We know we've got work to do, but that work, that work is not to make America great again," she said in a direct hit on Donald Trump's campaign slogan. "America never stopped being great. We have to make America whole."
Trump, meanwhile, scored Republican primary victories in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Virginia and Arkansas. He addressed supporters at a rally in Florida.
"This has been an amazing evening," he said before Arkansas was called in his favor. "Already we've won five major states."
He said that he had watched Clinton's speech and asserted that she didn't deserve another four years in Washington.
"She's been there for so long. If she hasn’t straightened it out by now," why elect her again? he said.
Bernie Sanders was projected to win Democratic primaries in Oklahoma and Vermont. He told supporters at a rally in Vermont how much the home-state victory means.
"It does say something and means so much to me that the people who know me best … have voted so strongly to put us in the White House," the senator said. "Thank you so much!”
 
Ted Cruz also notched a home-state victory in the Republican primary in Texas. A good showing there had been crucial for his campaign. The Associated Press projected he also picked up a win in Oklahoma.
“We are the only campaign that has beaten Donald trump once, twice, three times!” he told supporters at his Texas rally.
Cruz maintained that his camp would emerge victorious "resoundingly" if it were a head-to-head contest .
 

"For that to happen we must come together," he said. WHATEVER!

#RHOA: Kenya Moore was flowing Oscar Weekend!
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore was seen attending an Oscar party thrown by Mercedes-Benz and also at a Black Hollywood celebration event hosted by Ebony Magazine. 
She wore a loose fitting flowing print dress. That seems to keep the pregnancy rumors flying.

IN MUSIC NEWS: Anthony Hamilton and Fantasia Announce Joint Tour!
The list of this year’s anticipated albums continued to grow with the additions of Fantasia and Anthony Hamilton, but with their new albums on the way soon, the soulful singers have now announced that they will be teaming up for a joint tour this spring!

The 10-date trek is set to begin April 21 in Buffalo, New York, and travel to cities including Chicago, New York, and Baltimore, wrapping May 20 in Los Angeles. The duo, who will take turns opening and closing, promise to deliver a spectacular live show.

“We will be doing sangin’,” they said in a joint Twitter video. “Real sangn’.”

Hamilton is currently prepping his fifth studio album, What I’m Feelin’, for March 25. The first single, “Amen,” dropped last month. Meanwhile, Fantasia’s fifth LP is due this spring featuring the first single “No Time For It.”

Frank Ocean Snippet Leaks from Secret Listening Session
Could the wait finally be almost over? A snippet of what may be new Frank Ocean music has leaked, which could mean that the Grammy-winning crooner is gearing up to release his long-awaited follow-up to 2012’s channel ORANGE.
According to Complex, a three-minute Ocean leak was uploaded to a random SoundCloud page from what could be a “secret listening session.” Meanwhile, Fuse reports that the song featured Frank in rap mode with “a barreling flow that kinda reminds of [his] Odd Future brother Earl Sweatshirt.”
The SoundCloud track has been deleted, but two short clips have surfaced online. “I’ll be back before the streetlights are on and the daylight’s gone,” he appears to sing in one clip, while the other doesn’t feature any lyrics.

Even if these are new Ocean snippets, it’s unclear whether the tracks will appear on his next album. A release date for the project is also unknown.
In April, Ocean posted a photograph on Tumblr that teased an album called Boys Don’t Cry and a July release date. That came and went with no new LP. Most recently, the singer appeared on “Wolves” off Kanye West’s new album The Life of Pablo.



Hip Hop News: Jay Z Is DJ Khaled's New Manager
Jay Z has presented DJ Khaled with his very own Roc-A-Fella chain.Thanks to SnapChat, DJ Khaled's stock continues to rise, and today he's reached another milestone in his career. A new clip posted today shows Khaled kicking it with Jay Z, at which point it's announced that the DJ is the newest client of Roc Nation management -- in fact, it appears that Jay Z will actually be managing him personally.

The announcement is made official when Jay Z gives Khaled his very own Roc-A-Fella chain, which he claims is the very last of its kind. "I don't own an original one at all... this is my last one," he says, stressing the importance of this moment.

After that, Hov drops what sound to be some new bars over a pretty crazy beat. Could it be the next Khaled joint? Or even a sample of the next Jay LP? We'll have to wait and see, but we know Hov and Khaled surely have something up their sleeves following this deal.


Chris Rock Oscars monologue SLAMMED by Tyrese for 'tasteless joke' aimed at Jada Pinkett Smith
Tyrese has hit out at Chris Rock for his "tasteless joke" aimed at Jada Pinkett Smith during the Oscars on Sunday night. 
The actor admitted he didn't watch the ceremony, but he was left fuming after he saw a clip online in which the comedian - who was hosting the bash - joked about the actress boycotting the event . 
Speaking during his opening monologue, Chris said: "Jada got mad, Jada says she’s not coming, protesting, I’m like - doesn’t she have a TV show?
Chris Rock has caused offense with some of his jokes "Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties. I wasn’t invited."

Fast & Furious star Tyrese has not taken kindly to the comments, and wrote a scathing response on Instagram.
He said: "I didn't watch - I didn't - but online people are talking and someone posted the tasteless joke that Chris Rock did in his opening

"Did you really use your STAGE to tear down and diminish one of the strongest most fearless black women IN this town as the world watched??? Jokes are just jokes right????
Tyrese has fired back  "Not when someone is trying to affect change......... Not when someone is willing to put it ALL on the line to affect change for our daughters and sons of the future........ Shame on you Chris Rock (sic)"

The caption was posted alongside a short video clip, and although Tyrese was clearly angry, there was one thing that cheered him up.
He said: "After Chris Rock f***ed my night up talking about my girl Jada, who took the initiative to stand up and make a difference, I'm smiling again because of LEO! LEO WON!"


Mariah Carey, Kendrick Lamar and Maxwell to Headline ESSENCE Festival
This year’s Essence Festival is shaping up to be a GOOD ONE!

Mariah Carey, Kendrick Lamar and Maxwell have been announced as headliners for the event taking place June 30 to July 3 at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
“The ESSENCE Festival is back in New Orleans with an extraordinary roster of the biggest names and best performers in entertainment—from global music icons to the industry’s rising stars,” said ESSENCE President Michelle Ebanks. “We are welcoming Mariah Carey, Kendrick Lamar and Maxwell to headline the Superdome main stage. Miss Colombia Lands xXx Movie Role!
We’ve just learned, Ariadna Gutierrez aka Miss Colombia Lands xXx Movie Role, and she is the love interest of Vin Diesel!!!

We just got word that Miss Colombia has extended her 15 minutes to a full length feature film, maybe she should thank Steve Harvey for screwing up on the flip…
Miss Colombia is the love interest in the upcoming “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage” which stars Vin Diesel.
Sources connected with the production tell us Ariadna Gutierrez will play Vin’s love interest, and her part is not insignificant. She’s in 6 scenes and has 3 pages of dialogue.
Our sources say Miss Colombia‘s off to the Dominican Republic Tuesday to begin shooting. It will be her first movie role.
Vin’s snagged some other people who have recently grabbed headlines … UFC superstar Conor McGregor will also appear in the flick as well.

Is Boy George winning Celebrity Apprentice: 
“Boy George ran out of Elton John’s Oscars party Sunday night because he had to make it back to Celebrity Apprentice taping where he is in the final four,” sources tell our friends over at NAUGHTY GOSSIP. “George confirmed that he is still taping and we know the filming schedule is almost over. That means, he is close to winning.” 
A Los Angeles Lakers crowd broke out at the Los Angeles Clippers game Monday night.

The Lakers do not beat the Clippers in many categories (wins, points, etc.) these days but they usually retain their superior star power. For the Suns’ dreadful visit to the Clippers on Monday night, it was an eclectic celebrity mix thanks to an in-game taping of “The Celebrity Apprentice.”
With new show host and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger sitting courtside with Clippers owner and episode adviser Steve Ballmer, show participants came onto the court in two groups during first-quarter timeouts as a welcome distraction from watching the Suns miss 10 consecutive shots.

The star potpourri included singer Boy George, former NFL running back Ricky Williams, television personalities Brooke Burke and Carson Kressley, boxer Laila Ali and former WNBA star Lisa Leslie as teams competed in a show challenge for who could excite the crowd best. Kressley’s group shot T-shirts into the crowd.

Leslie came on with the second group to hype the fans before Boy George, decked out in red and blue makeup and a white Clippers top hat, sang some sort of Clippers anthem. Lyrics included “L-A-C”, L-A-C, rise, rise, rise” and were spelled out on the arena screen in futile hopes of fans singing along with him.

The crowd for the Clippers’ 124-84 rout also included Floyd Mayweather Jr., an NBA court side staple and former Suns guard Isaiah Thomas’ close friend, along with former Clippers center Cherokee Parks who, on this night, made the grade on an adjusted low bar as a celebrity.

2016 Razzie Awards Winners Announced!
Going strong for 36 years, the Razzie Awards once again highlighted the worst projects and poorest talent in the entertainment industry with the announcement of the 2016 winners.
And not entirely surprising, there were actually two films to take home the Worst Picture honor- “Fantastic Four” and “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
Along the same lines, “Fifty Shades” costars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson received the Worst Actor and Worst Actress titles, respectively.

Your FIRST LOOK! Zoe Saldana As Nina Simone -- New Biopic Cover Art & Release Date!
The masses will now get to see Zoe Saldana as Nina Simone in an upcoming biopic about the legendary singer/activist’s life. The Internet lost its collective mind when it was leaked back in 2012 that Zoe Saldana (of Dominican and Puerto Rican descent) would be playing the late singer. One of the most vocal critics was Nina Simone's daughter, Simone, who revealed that she had been completely shut out of the movie and had no involvement at all.

During an interview in 2013, Zoe responded to the criticism saying,
”What kept me from getting stressed and being hurt by the negative comments is that I’m doing it for my sisters and my brothers and I don’t care who tells me I’m not this or I’m not that. I know who I am and I know what Nina Simone means to me.”

“I did it all for love. Out of love for Nina, my people and who I am and my pride of being a Black woman and a Latina woman and an American woman. That’s my truth.”

Since all of the controversy, the Nina biopic sort of vanished. We didn’t hear much about it. Since then, an incredible documentary aired on Netflix called What Happened, Miss Simone (that Nina’s daughter backed and starred in) that was nominated for an Oscar this year.
Now, the official cover art (above) and release date for the Nina biopic have surfaced. It will hit theaters on April 22nd. SELMA star David Oyelowo also stars in the film where he will play Nina’s assistant Clifton Henderson.
