#RHOA: Kandi Burruss Shows Baby Ace's Face For The First Time
Awwwww, Kandi unveiled her and husband Todd's baby boy via People's Celebrity Babies today.  And the two month old is ridiculously adorable!

The 39-year-old "RHOA" star opened up about this pregnancy definitely not being easy thanks to havin to do IVFtreatments:

“We really worked hard for him. It was a long process and lots of needles.”
And taking care of a newborn hasn't been all that easy either.  Kandi's daughter Riley is 13 and Todd's daughter Kaela (pictured above with her baby brother) is 19, so it's been a while since they've done this baby thing.  Todd wasn't in Kaela's life until later in her life, so he's brand new to the baby business.  Kandi revealed:
“It’s like starting all over.  We were like, ‘Which bottles do we use? What diapers do we buy?’ Simple stuff that you would think I already know and I don’t. It’s silly.”
About the cutesy decor on Ace's nursery, Kandi says they wanted an African theme since she and Todd met in Africa.  But not in an over-the-top way.

“It’s safari chic,” added Todd. “Safari clean.”
So what's it like having more testosterone in the house after handling two teenaged girls?   Kandi said:
“I always wanted a boy so we were super excited because we have two girls and they give us much attitude.  We were looking forward to having a boy.”

Ha!

#TEAMEMPIRE:'Empire's Jussie Smollett shares his favorite memory with Lee Daniels
Yes. Jussie Smollett, who plays Jamal Lyon on Fox’s hit drama series, Empire, was present at the ninth annual BET Honors to pay tribute to Empire co-creator Lee Daniels. Daniels received a golden statuette for his contributions to television and film and was treated to Smollett's stirring rendition of Empire's single, Powerful, as well as Michael Jackson's Man in the Mirror.

But just prior to the fanfare, Smollett dished on his fondest memory with Daniels: the day he found out he landed the role behind his meteoric rise to fame.
“Lee texted me and he said it’s capital Y, capital O, capital U and I said, ‘Lee,’ and he said, ‘Yes, Jussie,' and that’s when I found out I got the role,” Smollett shared on the red carpet. “That’s the thing about Lee. He’s so old-school Hollywood, you know? He loves to give you a good story to tell.”

Smollett also shared the most transformative advice Daniels ever gave him.
“I keep saying this but he’s changed my life in ways that no one will ever be able to understand — until I write a book,” he teased before acknowledging that Daniels' influence transcended any creative or professional guidance. “As a man, he’s changed my life in a huge, huge way. He’s firmly made me plant my feet in the ground and walk in my truth."
“Just tell the truth,” Smollett repeats. “That’s it. You know, it’s so simple. The thought of it is so simple, but it’s so hard to do sometimes. That’s what Lee is about. That’s what his art is about. He represents that.”

And what can we expect next from his art (i.e. the new season Empire)?

While Smollett wouldn't give any teasers, he joked: “I will say we will all get slapped up. Each one of us, each brother gets at least one more slap, trust me, because Taraji (Henson) just likes to throw in slaps in the middle of rehearsal."

It's all out of love though….LOL!

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Casts 1st Ever Transgender Female, D.Smith
VH1’s #1 Rated cable series “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” is back with a vengeance. Premiering Monday, April 4 at 8PM ET/PT, the competition is fiercer than ever as new and familiar faces work to take over Atlanta’s music scene. This season, the show has cast it’s first transgender female (D.Smith),

D.Smith 1st transgender player on Love And Hip Hop Atlanta

"D. Smith is a groundbreaking music producer who makes her debut as the first ever transgender female in the “Love & Hip Hop” franchise. This Miami-born, Brooklyn-bred Grammy Award-winning writer turned artist has worked with some of the hottest in the game, including Lil Wayne."
"Smith’s defining moment came after being tapped by Lil Wayne to be a part of his most successful project to date “The Carter III,” which sold one million copies in its debut week, one of only three rap albums in history to ever achieve this feat. With her spitfire sidekick and aspiring singer Betty Idol by her side, this dynamic duo will take the Atlanta scene by storm."

"New to the scene is Karen “KK” King. KK is not your average mother – she was previously the vivacious, outspoken “momager” to her sons Scrapp DeLeon and Sas. Through her musical connections, KK brokered major deals for her sons with Akon’s Konvict music and T-Pain. Additionally, she is a longtime friend of Stevie J, who she not only considers a lifelong friend, but also her brother and uncle to her sons."
"Sas & Scrapp set the rap game ablaze as teenagers in a group called Da Razkalz Cru. These days, Scrapp manages Sas to reestablish him as a solo artist. But for Scrapp, relationship drama with girlfriend Tommie, who isn’t shy when it comes to speaking her mind; and Tiara, the mother of his son, is distracting him from the music."

"Tiara is the perfect combination of brains and beauty. She is a reserved corporate dynamo by day and a sexy club vixen by night. Don’t let her prim and proper exterior fool you; Tiara is not one to be reckoned with. Tommie is a charismatic model who is known for her unpredictable antics, rapid-fire wit and her relationship with Scrapp. One thing is for certain, beef between these two may be headed for disaster as they battle it out for Scrapp’s heart."

Janet Jackson postpones Tour dates
Ticket holders received an email from Ticketmaster that said, according to the BBC, “It is not possible to confirm new dates at the present time so we are refunding all ticket holders.”

The British dates was due to start on March 30 in Birmingham; other dates in Glasgow, Manchester, and London were also postponed.
A rep for Jackson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Last year, Jackson postponed dates on the North American leg of the Unbreakable world tour whemn she underwent surgery on her vocal chords. “It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring,” she wrote at the time. “Every date will be rescheduled. Please hold on to your tickets. They will be honored in a special way when the new schedule is announced.”

After the news broke, rumors began swirling that Jackson had cancer, and in January she dispelled those myths with a video. “The rumors are untrue. I do not have cancer. I’m recovering,” the clip said. “My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled.”

This concerns me. Hopefully she will soon respond! But she is still scheduled to play the Dubal World Cup on March 26

President Obama Will Not Make Nancy Reagan's Funeral
President Obama will be missing Nancy Reagan's funeral due to a previously scheduled engagement at SXSW in Austin, TX.
Former First Lady Nancy Reagan's funeral is scheduled for Friday, March 11 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. However, President Obama has been announced as a keynote speaker at SXSW where he will sit down with Evan Smith, editor of the Texas Tribune, regarding civic engagement and the role technology can potentially play with increasing political involvement and solving global issues. First Lady Michelle Obama, instead, will attend the funeral on behalf of the POTUS and herself. She is also scheduled as a keynote speaker at SXSW, but not until March 16.

Historically it's not uncommon for presidents to not attend the funeral of a First Lady. When First Lady Betty Ford died in 2011, Rosalynn Carter, Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton and Nancy Reagan all attended. Ex-President George W. Bush went because wife Laura had other travel plans. But Obama and former President Bill Clinton did not attend the funeral. Former First Lady Hillary Clinton will be in attendance at Nancy Reagan's funeral. It is unsure if former President Clinton will attend.

Detroit Lions Calvin Johnson Officially Retires From NFL
Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin "Megatron" Johnson is hanging up his cleats. On Tuesday, the Lions announced Johnson filed his retirement papers with the NFL before the start of the new league year, which starts Wednesday.
Johnson is known as one of the most prolific receivers in Lions history, not to mention, one of the best in NFL history.
Johnson, who decided against having a news conference, released a statement. Read it below:
"Let me begin by apologizing for making this announcement via a statement and not in person. While I truly respect the significance of this, those who know me best will understand and not be surprised that I choose not to have a press conference for this announcement.

After much prayer, thought and discussion with loved ones, I have made the difficult decision to retire from the Lions and pro football. I have played my last game of football.
Let me assure you that this was not an easy or hasty decision. As I stated, I, along with those closest to me, have put a lot of time, deliberation and prayer into this decision and I truly am at peace with it.
I also want you to know that I have the utmost respect and admiration for the game of football. It has provided so much for me and my family and I will be forever grateful to the game.

With the reality of my decision, I realize there are a lot of people I would like to thank. I must start with my family -- thank you for all your love and support.

I also want to especially thank Mrs. Ford and the Ford Family for all their support over the years. They are tremendous owners and I loved playing for them. I would also like to recognize Mr. Ford, who I was honored to know and play for before he passed away.
While it would be hard to name them all, I would also like to thank all of my teammates past and present.
I also want to thank all of my coaches who I played for, in particular Coach Caldwell for his support, wisdom and guidance over the past two seasons. I loved playing for Coach Caldwell.

There are so many other people I would like to recognize and thank for what they have done for me throughout my career, but rather than risk forgetting someone, I will simply say "thanks" to everyone.
And finally, to the fans of Detroit and Michigan. I so appreciated your passionate support over the years and truly enjoyed playing for you. I loved playing in Detroit and will forever be a Lion. My biggest regret is that I wasn't able to help give our fans a championship. But I do believe the future of the Lions is bright and with the leadership from people like Rod Wood and Bob Quinn, who I have gotten to know over the past few months, I am confident that our fans will soon be rewarded with the championship you deserve.

From the bottom of my heart I thank you all for everything."
After nine seasons, Johnson has had over 11,000 receiving yards, seven 1,000-yard seasons, six Pro Bowl invitations.

What a legacy to leave behind. Best of luck to Calvin Johnson on his future endeavors.

Beyonce Priced herself Out of A Star is Born!
For years Beyonce has been attached to the re-make of A Star is Born.

First with Clint Eastwood and then with Bradley Cooper  and Leonardo Di Caprio
Queen B is no longer attached...

Insiders tell Page Six Beyonce priced herself out of the part.
Warner Bros. was negotiating with “American Sniper” star Cooper to direct and star in the remake of the 1950s Judy Garland musical. Beyoncé was being lined up to play the lead, a young woman whose dreams of stardom are helped by an aging icon.
But one Hollywood source tells Page Six, “Beyoncé wanted too much money, and Warner Bros. balked at her price. The production budget was also said to be an issue with the studio, so the project has fallen apart.”

Chris Brown Settles Lawsuit Accusing Him of Stealing Music for “Don’t Wake Me Up”
According to our friends over at thejasminebrand Chris Brown has signed a settlement agreement with the musician to end the lawsuit over the song “Don’t Wake Me Up”. For once and for all.
A songwriter named Nayeri Gregor (aka Nayri) filed a federal lawsuit last year against Chris Brown, Sony Music and Benny Banassi accusing them of stealing her music.

Gregor explained that back in 2009 she wrote & recorded a song entitled “Don’t Wake Me Up”.

Then in 2011, she was introduced to a man named Brian Kennedy through a publicist friend. Her friend informed Kennedy that she was a great songwriter and she played for him that night. He liked the music so much he set up a meeting with her at a later date.

Gregor explained that she created a playlist of her work to bring to the meeting which included the song “Don’t Wake Me Up“. She said that at the meeting he placed her CD into his computer and he said “Don’t worry, I’m not downloading it“.

However, she said Kennedy failed to inform her that he could hear a song once and remember everything from the melodies to the scales after one listen. She claimed he not only downloaded the music she played for him at the meeting but memorized it with his ability to recall melodies.
She said that Kennedy praised her music at the meeting, despite him knowingly full well he was never going to call her again or compensate her for her work. Gregor says she never heard from Kennedy again following their meeting about her work.

Then she accused Kennedy of playing her song for Chris Brown and Benny Banassi and then recorded by Brown and released on his 2012 album “Fortune” and even copyrighted by Brown and Banassi as their own work.
Gregor explained her song and Brown’s song share identical titles, similar lyrics, both begin with spoken words by a female voice and the hook lyrics are identical along with both songs have the same rhythmical figure and overall beat. She filed suit against Kennedy, Brown and Banassi demanding 150k for each infringement along with other damages for their alleged music theft.
Chris Brown fired back, calling all the claims he stole Grego’s track and used it as his own are lies. Brown admitted that the songs have the same title and use the lyric, “Don’t Wake Me Up”. However, he explained the title and the lyric cannot be copyrighted due to them being so common.

Brown said he did not steal anything and added that the woman also waited too long to even file a lawsuit accusing him of copyright infringement.

The singer demanded the entire lawsuit be thrown out and the woman be awarded nothing.
Then on March 8th, despite the singer’s claim he didn’t steal any music — docs were filed by Brown and Grego informing the court that they have reached a settlement in the case. The terms of the deal will remain sealed but per the agreement all claims against Brown will be dismissed and the case will be closed.
