BREAKING NEWS: A Mass Shooting has taken place at a Gay Nightclub "PULSE' in Orlando Florida!
A shooting inside a downtown Orlando, Fla., nightclub led to mass casualties, according to the police, who said that at least one gunman had been found dead inside. UPDATE At 11:45AM (EST) it's been declared that 50 are DEAD and 53 are INJURED making this so the worst mass shooting in US History.

The suspect behind the gay nightclub shooting in Orlando, which left dozens dead and injured, has been identified as 29-year-old US citizen Omar Mateen, born to Afghan parents, US media reported. The CBS network added that the FBI is currently checking whether he was linked to extremists.

A correspondent from the WFTV channel said Mateen was 27 years old and was from Port St. Lucie in Florida, nearly 150km from Orlando. CBS news reported, citing law enforcement, that Mateen was 29.
According to reports on social media, he was born to Afghan parents.

Photos, allegedly of Mateen, have been circulating on social media since US media named him as the possible suspect behind the slaughter.

The shooting was reported at about 3 a.m., after last call at Pulse, one of the largest gay nightspots in the Central Florida city.
On its Twitter feed, the Police Department asked residents to “stay away from area” and said that it was seeking support from local state and federal agencies.
The club itself posted a message on its Facebook page about 3 a.m.: “Everyone get out of pulse and keep running.”
Customers streamed out of the club into a chaotic situation with little idea of where to go. “Cops were saying, ‘Go, go, clear the area,’ ” Christopher Hansen told an Orlando television station. “You don’t know who’s what and who’s where.”
Police swept inside the club and about 5 a.m. set off a “controlled explosion” in an effort to clear the club, the department said in its Twitter feed. A news conference scheduled for 4:30 a.m. was canceled.
Phone camera videos shot at the scene show police cars, ambulances and other emergency vehicles outside the club on South Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando. Streets around the the club were shut down for several blocks.

Many of the wounded were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, about three blocks from the club, which was placed on lockdown after receiving several gunshot victims. “Only essential workers are being allowed access into the building,” the hospital said in a statement.
“Out of an abundance of caution, Arnold Palmer Hospital and Winnie Palmer Hospital have also been placed on lockdown.” the statement added.
Local television stations broadcast interviews with people outside the club and the Orlando Regional Medical Center, about three blocks away from the club, anxiously waiting to hear from people who they said were still inside.
WKMG and WESH broadcast interviews with the crowds milling outside the hospital. One woman said she rushed to the area after she got a call from her daughter, who said, “Please come get us and come get us now.”

The club, which calls itself “Orlando’s Latin Hotspot,” hosts an “Upscale Latin Saturdays” party on Saturday night with three DJs and a midnight show.
MY GOODNESS! Pray for the families of the fallen in this senseless tragedy!

BREAKING: T.I. New York Show Erupts In Gunfire; 1 Dead, 3 Wounded
T.I.‘s Irving Plaza show in New York City ended when shots were fired at the popular venue last night (May 25) during the rapper’s concert.
Fans waited for more than two hours for T.I. to hit the stage, with PNB Rock performing three songs between time. But a packed Irving Plaza descended into chaos as concertgoers fled to the nearest exits after an unknown shooter began to fire his weapon repeatedly backstage. Multiple rounds echoed throughout the venue as stampedes attempted to flee the building. Unable to exit, many people found themselves trapped on the floor with the shooter because it was too crowded to move.
Eventually, the gunshots ceased as hundreds of fans made their way onto the street, flooding the Union Square neighborhood. But another shot was heard from inside Irving Plaza. Ultimately one man was left dead and three people wounded.

It’s not confirmed whether or not the Atlanta rapper played any role in last night’s incidents, but an alleged member of his entourage grabbed the mic during the chaos to let the crowd know, “Someone done f—ed it up for everybody.” Fire trucks, several ambulance and multiple marked and unmarked NYPD vehicles surround the venue and neighboring blocks in minutes. The shooter seemingly escaped arrest; leaving the venue before the police arrived. The NYPD proceeded to canvas lower Manhattan in an effort to capture the gunman. Accoding to the New York Times, a spokesman for the NYPD said one of the Men arrived at New York University Medical Center on his own. The motives for the shooting is unclear and no arrests have been made as of Wednesday night.
