#MAGFAB: 'Cross' star Aldis Hodge for Emmy Magazine!
Showrunner Ben Watkins and star Aldis Hodge reveal why authenticity, context and nuance were crucial to bringing detective Alex Cross to television 31 years after his debut in the first of James Patterson's 32 bestselling books
Aldis Hodge had only read 10 or so pages of Prime Video's Cross when he put it down and called his team. He was awed by the richness and elegance with which Alex Cross, the crime-solving forensic psychologist from James Patterson's bestselling novels, was depicted. Hodge liked that Alex, a family man who lives in the Southeast Washington, D.C., community he serves, didn't feel one- dimensional or tokenized. "It felt honest," he says. But he had questions: "Can we maintain this awesomeness? Can we retain the sense of authenticity? But first and foremost, is the show creator Black?" It's a valid query, given the character's history and where we are today.

But he had questions: "Can we maintain this awesomeness? Can we retain the sense of authenticity? But first and foremost, is the show creator Black?" It's a valid query, given the character's history and where we are today.
When Patterson first introduced Cross in his 1993 novel Along Came a Spider, audiences didn't much object to a white guy telling a story from a Black man's point of view, and if they did, said objections were drowned out by the cha-ching! of cash registers as Spider flew off shelves. Yet some 30 years later — with 31 more Alex Cross titles published, more than 300 million books sold and three films released (Kiss the Girls in 1997, Along Came a Spider in 2001 and Alex Cross in 2012) — the wider context in which a fictional Black officer created by a white man exists is much different. So, while Hodge liked the script and even had a great deal of respect for Patterson
after speaking with him ("I talked to James about what inspired him, and it came from a very heartfelt and respectful place," he says), the matter of who created Cross and who'd be in charge remained an important factor in determining whether or not he'd say yes. "I know some people might be a bit fatigued with the conversation of, 'Why does [the show creator] have to be Black?'" says Hodge, a versatile performer who started acting as a kid and has starred in a range of genres including crime drama ( City on a Hill), thriller ( Underground ), historical drama ( Hidden Figures ) and even superhero ( Black Adam ). "But when you talk about writing authentic stories from a real place, you tap into knowledge, experience and information that cannot be fabricated. That's why it's important — [having someone] understand what 'normal' looks like, without having to explain who and what we are. I've been on too many shows where I've had to explain. And it's hard."

#RHOA: Kenya Moore on her once 'inseparable' bond with Tyra Banks
Kenya Moore is opening up about the sisterly bond she shared with Tyra Banks.
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 53, was recalling her '90s era in an interview with The Shade Room when the conversation turned to Banks, 51.
"In the 90s, we were inseparable," Moore recalled of her bond with the supermodel. "If she wasn't at my house, I was at her house. Like, her mom was my mom."
Moore then recounted how the conversations between the "best friends" were like those days.
"We just could not get off the phone. It's almost like when you're on the phone with your man and you're like, ‘Are you going to hang up? Are you asleep?’ That's what we were — we were sisters," she explained.
"That's another thing about people from the ’90s: We didn't talk. We didn't talk about the dates and the guys and always on social media crying and talking about your problems. We didn't do all of that," she said. "There wasn't social media, so everything was private."
Moore also got candid about having learned a lot about business from Banks, who in addition to modeling and acting, has launched numerous ventures including an entertainment company.
"Just seeing her marketing, her business savvy was just above and beyond anything I had ever seen, coming from Miss USA. You know, I met her right after Miss USA, so my head wasn't there," she continued, referring to winning the prestigious pageant title in 1993.
However, the reality star also remembers Banks as a hyperactive businesswoman, comparing her to "a machine" when it came to building her business empire.
"You know how you have all your people? She had all these people and she had all these ideas and she was able to see everything through," she explained. "It was really beautiful to watch a young Black girl flourish in that way."

#HipHopNews: Azealia Banks claims she hooked up with Drake in an odd flex on social media.
Azealia Banks appears to admit she's been intimate with Drake in an odd flex on social media.
Azealia Banks has been one of Kendrick Lamar's most vocal detractors concerning the beef with Drake. On Nov. 28, she weighed in on Drake's legal action against UMG, Spotify and iHeartRadio over K-Dot's "Not Like Us."
"I'm genuinely interested on how this will turn out," she posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. "This sh*t is 100% about to become music industry case law whichever way it goes. People all like 'oh drake is soft and blah blah,' but it's tru I y refreshing to not see a contemporary rap beef end up in violence. This is some sh*t my nerdy a*s can get behind."
An X user called out the Harlem rapper for her allegiance to Drake typing, "Damnnn.. you wanna suck Drake d*ck that bad??"
Banks responded with the affirming tweet, "AND DID!!!!!!!!"
Azealia Banks has been a staunch supporter of Drake in the feud with K-Dot. Back in May, she came out to say she can't stand Kendrick's "Euphoria" diss track.
"Kendrick is still 4'9" and wears the same jean size as me. No one one earth cares about the feelings of small fake gangsta nepo babies," she wrote on social media in response to the song. "And the beat Kendrick is rapping over is dumb trash and the mix is muddy as hell. Quit the bulls**t. Drake Won. That's it."
She later criticized Kendrick for calling Drake a pedophile on "Not Like Us." She would go on to call out Kendrick for dissing Drake for using the N-word but never saying anything when 6ix9ine uses the phrase.
TikTok Faces Sale-Or-Ban Mandate In US After Court Upholds Law
TikTok is one step closer to being banned in the United States. On Friday (Dec. 6), CNN reported that a federal appeals court consisting of three judges ruled unanimously to uphold a law that could outlaw the popular app in America. The legislation was originally passed back in April, with Congress requiring TikTok’s Chinese owner, ByteDance, to sell the company to an American owner by Jan. 19, 2025. President Joe Biden then signed the legislation into law, putting pressure on the company to comply or face an outright ban.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit released a statement regarding the decision. The legal body asserted that their decision was made in good faith, citing to protect American citizens’ right to free speech from “a foreign adversary nation and to limit that adversary’s ability to gather data on people in the United States.”
“We recognize that this decision has significant implications for TikTok and its users. Unless TikTok executes a qualified divestiture by January 19, 2025 — or the President grants a 90-day extension based upon progress towards a qualified divestiture, § 2(a)(3) — its platform will effectively be unavailable in the United States, at least for a time,” the ruling concluded.
“Consequently, TikTok’s millions of users will need to find alternative media of communication. That burden is attributable to the PRC’s hybrid commercial threat to U.S. national security, not to the U.S. Government, which engaged with TikTok through a multi-year process in an effort to find an alternative solution. The First Amendment exists to protect free speech in the United States. Here the Government acted solely to protect that freedom from a foreign adversary nation and to limit that adversary’s ability to gather data on people in the United States.”
However, with the ball now in TikTok’s court, the company could look to take the battle to the Supreme Court floor. The social media app released a statement of their own, saying, “The Supreme Court has an established historical record of protecting Americans’ right to free speech, and we expect they will do just that on this important constitutional issue,” the company’s statement read. “Unfortunately, the TikTok ban was conceived and pushed through based upon inaccurate, flawed and hypothetical information, resulting in outright censorship of the American people. The TikTok ban, unless stopped, will silence the voices of over 170 million Americans here in the US and around the world on January 19th, 2025.”
Interestingly enough, newly elected president Donald Trump tackled the TikTok issue during his election campaign. Trump stated that, once he took office in January, he would work to “save TikTok.”
Since September 2017, TikTok has become a mainstay for millions of Americans, especially as a means of employment. According to statistics gathered by NBC News, the application is now used by half of the country.

Fights Erupt At Mariah Carey Christmas Tour Show
The Queen of Christmas is currently on her Christmas Time Tour, but some fans at her November show decided to bring the drama instead of holiday cheer.
According to footage caught by attendees, the chaos happened as Mariah Carey sang “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” In the viral clip, a woman could be seen throwing a drink at another woman, leading to her man jumping in the mix.
Another angle shows two men throwing blows, with one of them resembling the man who intervened in the women’s fight. A person could also be heard yelling, “Where’s the f**king security?” in the background. See below.
There hasn’t been any word on what sparked the brawl or if Mariah even noticed the madness happening but despite it all, she gave one helluva show.
In addition, Mariah’s iconic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” is back atop the Billboard Hot 100 charts at No. 10. Last year, it hit No. 1 for its 14th week just before Christmas.
Earlier this year Carey told PEOPLE magazine, “I’ve been looking forward to this Christmas for, like, the whole year… since last year wasn’t the greatest. I’m thankful for them all, but it wasn’t my most fun version of Christmas ever.”

Steve Mensch, Tyler Perry Studios president, dies in plane crash
Steve Mensch, the president and general manager of studio operations at Tyler Perry Studios, died in a plane crash Friday night, according to officials.
The Florida Highway Patrol said troopers found Mensch dead at the scene of a crash just after 8 p.m. in Citrus County, Florida. The agency does not name Mensch as the man who died, though the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office said it was Mensch, 62, from Fayetteville, Georgia.
“FHP Troopers responded to a single engine fixed-wing airplane crash on West White Dogwood Drive near the intersection of US-98,” FHP said in a statement. “An adult male occupant of the aircraft was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.”
In an email to CNN on Saturday, Tyler Perry Studios said: “We are incredibly saddened by the passing of our dear friend, Steve Mensch. Steve was a cherished member of our team for more than 8 years, and well beloved in the community of Atlanta. It is hard to imagine not seeing him smiling throughout the halls. We will miss him dearly. Our heart goes out to his family as we all send them our prayers.”
The Federal Aviation Administration said the pilot was the only person on board the single-engine Vans RV12, though the agency did not mention Mensch by name.
A National Transportation Safety Board investigator is expected to visit the crash site Saturday to begin documenting the scene and examining the aircraft, the NTSB told CNN in an email. A preliminary report from the agency about the crash is expected within 30 days.
Mensch managed the day-to-day operations at Tyler Perry Studios, a 300-acre studio lot in Atlanta, Georgia, according to his LinkedIn profile.
In 2019, Mensch gave CNN a tour of the facility, saying, “What Tyler has built here is the only major motion picture studio on the East Coast.”
Mensch explained at the time how the studio he oversaw blended old with new, saying, “The history on this property is immense. Founded in 1885, we have 40 buildings on the national register, we’ve built a dozen state of the art sound stages.”
“We can take advantage of a hundred years of Hollywood history, of best practices and we’ve done that in incorporating the stages,” he said at the time. “Then we use the very best technology in our infrastructure, so we have the best of both.”
Perry, who made history as the first African American to fully own a major production studio, said Mensch, “was truly a kind soul and a great leader at the studio.”
“I’ve been trying to understand this tragedy all day—what went wrong with that plane,” Perry said in a post on Instagram Saturday night. “Steve loved flying, and he loved that plane; he took so much pride in it.”
“We all adored him and are devastated that he’s gone. I’m praying for his family as we all try to make sense of this heartbreak,” Perry added.
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp expressed his condolences on social media after Mensch’s death, praising him as “a good man” and his contributions to the Peach State’s film industry.
“A good man and an instrumental part of a studio Georgia is proud to call its own, his achievements made our state better and brought more opportunities to its people,” Kemp said on X. “His loved ones and the entire Tyler Perry Studios team will be in our thoughts and prayers as they mourn this loss.”

Diddy accuses Government of unlawful prison surveillance
Music industry titan Sean “Diddy” Combs has initiated legal proceedings against federal prosecutors, alleging widespread surveillance during his detention at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. The founder of Bad Boy Records, currently facing serious allegations including sex trafficking and racketeering charges, claims systematic violations of his constitutional rights through unauthorized monitoring of privileged communications. These accusations have sent shockwaves through the legal community, raising fundamental questions about privacy rights in detention facilities.
Constitutional rights under scrutiny
The heart of the controversy stems from a cell raid that Combs’ legal team characterizes as deliberately orchestrated to compromise attorney-client privilege. Court documents reveal alleged systematic monitoring of confidential legal communications, with jail staff reportedly gathering and transmitting sensitive information to prosecution teams. This information subsequently factored into arguments against Combs’ bail consideration, raising significant concerns about due process violations.
The unprecedented nature of these alleged violations has drawn attention from legal experts who emphasize the fundamental importance of protecting attorney-client communications. These protections, cornerstone principles of the American legal system, ensure defendants can prepare effective defenses without fear of government interference or surveillance.
Defense strategy compromised
At the core of these allegations lies a contested cell search that Combs‘ defense team argues was orchestrated under false pretenses. A particularly contentious point involves photographic evidence allegedly captured by jail personnel and transmitted to prosecutors. The dispute extends to the precise location of legal documents during the search, with conflicting accounts from detention center staff and Combs regarding their storage location.
The defense team argues that these actions represent a calculated attempt to undermine their preparation efforts, potentially compromising their ability to mount an effective defense. The implications of such interference extend beyond immediate legal concerns, potentially affecting the fundamental fairness of the trial process.
Technology access barriers
The dispute has expanded beyond surveillance concerns to encompass issues of technological access. Despite the provision of a laptop for reviewing discovery materials in November 2024, Combs reportedly faces unique restrictions preventing him from accessing these crucial resources. His legal team emphasizes the unprecedented nature of these limitations, noting that other inmates do not face similar constraints in preparing their defense.
The restriction of technological access presents significant challenges in reviewing extensive case materials, particularly in complex cases involving multiple charges and substantial evidence. This limitation could potentially impact the quality and effectiveness of the defense preparation, raising additional concerns about equal access to justice.
Visitor monitoring concerns
Further complications arise from allegations that jail administrators are actively reporting visitor information to prosecutors, including details about expert witnesses and investigators consulting with the defense team. This practice, according to Combs’ attorneys, fundamentally undermines the confidentiality essential to mounting an effective defense strategy.
The monitoring of defense team visitors represents a particular concern, as it potentially reveals strategic elements of the defense preparation to prosecution teams. This practice could have a chilling effect on potential witnesses and experts who might otherwise assist in the defense case.
Judicial intervention sought
The defense team has filed motions seeking court intervention to address these alleged violations. They specifically request unrestricted laptop access for review of discovery materials and an immediate halt to the sharing of visitor information with prosecution teams. A previous ruling has already mandated that prosecutors must refrain from utilizing documents obtained during the contested cell search pending judicial review.
The implications of these allegations extend far beyond Combs’ individual case, potentially impacting fundamental principles of criminal defense rights and attorney-client privilege in the American justice system. As this high-profile case continues to unfold, it raises critical questions about the balance between security measures and constitutional rights within detention facilities.
The defense team’s allegations highlight systematic issues within the detention system, particularly concerning the protection of privileged communications and access to legal resources. These concerns resonate beyond celebrity cases, potentially affecting countless defendants navigating the criminal justice system.
Systemic implications
The case has broader implications for the criminal justice system, potentially setting precedents for how detention facilities handle privileged communications and access to legal resources. Legal experts suggest that the outcome could influence policies and procedures across federal detention centers, particularly regarding the balance between security measures and defendants’ rights.

Trae Tha Truth shares emotional search for missing daughter
The Houston music scene and broader community have united in support of rapper and humanitarian Trae Tha Truth as he endures a parent’s worst nightmare. His 6-year-old daughter, Truth, has been missing for over four months, allegedly taken by her mother during a routine visitation in August 2024. Despite Trae holding full legal custody, the visit ended in a heartbreaking disappearance, sparking a relentless search and an outpouring of public support.
Legal battle unfolds
The case quickly spiraled into a legal quagmire. Truth’s mother, accused of failing to return her after the visitation, now faces child abduction charges. Evidence revealed attempts to enroll Truth in schools in Los Angeles, a move that directly defied court orders. The violation of these legal boundaries has only deepened the urgency of Trae’s fight to bring his daughter home.
This legal entanglement underscores the challenges of navigating custody disputes, particularly when one parent disregards established legal agreements. Courts have stepped in, but the process remains lengthy and emotionally draining for all parties involved.
Systematic challenges
Trae has used his platform to shed light on the hurdles fathers often encounter in custody disputes. Through heartfelt social media posts, he has chronicled his frustrations and heartbreak, highlighting systemic biases that can make it difficult for fathers to assert their rights.
Despite proving his fitness as a parent and successfully challenging false allegations in Los Angeles courts, Trae continues to encounter legal and bureaucratic roadblocks. His story resonates with many fathers who feel their parental rights are often overlooked in similar situations.
Community mobilization
The hip-hop community has rallied behind Trae Tha Truth, with influential artists like Royce Da 5’9 and Al B. Sure publicly expressing their support. These gestures underscore the respect Trae commands within the music industry and his broader humanitarian efforts.
Trae’s long-standing commitment to community service has cultivated a strong network of allies. His partnerships on initiatives like homeless outreach with Cedric The Entertainer demonstrate his dedication to bettering the lives of others, a trait that has only strengthened public support during this personal crisis.
Investigation developments
Investigators working on Trae’s case have uncovered troubling evidence of Truth’s mother frequently moving between cities to evade detection. This pattern of concealment includes efforts to establish new routines in each location, further complicating the search.
Court intervention has so far prevented Truth’s unauthorized enrollment in schools, but the trail remains arduous. Authorities are working tirelessly to piece together her movements and locate her safely, driven by both legal mandates and the emotional stakes of the case.
Humanitarian legacy
Trae Tha Truth’s reputation as a humanitarian makes this ordeal especially heartrending. Known for his disaster relief efforts and community advocacy, Trae has consistently prioritized helping others during crises, whether responding to natural disasters or assisting families in need.
This commitment to service has not gone unnoticed. His history of giving back has created a loyal following, with many rallying to offer support during his search for Truth. Trae’s actions speak to his character, highlighting his role as a protector and provider not only for his community but also for his family.
Path forward
Despite the anguish of the past months, Trae remains steadfast in his mission to reunite with his daughter. His focus is not on assigning blame but on ensuring Truth’s safety and well-being. He has repeatedly called for constructive dialogue and emphasized the importance of community assistance in navigating such crises.
For Trae, the search is deeply personal yet universal, symbolizing the lengths any parent would go to for their child. His story serves as a reminder of the challenges parents face in custody battles and the resilience needed to overcome them.
The broader impact
This case highlights the need for systemic changes to support parents navigating custody disputes and to protect the rights of children caught in the middle. It also underscores the importance of community involvement in addressing these challenges.

Ludacris' performance was on fire - literally! Amidst an adrenaline-pumping Art Basel week in Miami, the fire marshal had to step in and shut down the star-studded event, leaving the crowd wanting more.
The exclusive bash took place at "The Real Housewives of Miami" star Lenny Hochstein's Star Island mansion. With new Art Week regulations in force, heavy police presence ensured that private home parties adhered to strict occupancy limits and noise restrictions.
However, these rules couldn't dampen the electrifying atmosphere of the party, which saw Ludacris rocking the stage with hits like "Area Codes" and "What's Your Fantasy."
About thirty minutes into his dynamic set, the fire marshal took the stage to halt the performance, much to the attendees' collective dismay. The high-profile party marked Ludacris' first time in Miami for Art Basel.
Sharing some advice for aspiring art collectors, he told Page Six exclusively, "I just started collecting art. I wanted to focus on it after focusing on real estate. You have to buy all the houses first before you get the art for them."
Among the A-listers gracing the event were "Havana" singer Camila Cabello, singer and actress Janelle Monae, DJ John Summit, and "The O.C." star Misha Barton. The extravagant bash was also adorned with the presence of other stars such as Tinx, Dale Moss, and "Food God" Jonathan Cheban.
Because of the hour-long traffic jams, many guests, including Ludacris, took an innovative approach by arriving via water, shaving off considerable travel time.
Reflecting on the vibrant atmosphere, Ludacris donned a custom $50,000 diamond Movado watch and expressed his admiration for the city's creative energy. "I love all the creative energy that comes to the city," Ludacris commented, acknowledging the inconvenience of traffic but celebrating the influx of art and creativity during the high-profile event.
Not to be overshadowed, party host Lenny Hochstein was spotted watching the festivities from a balcony above the stage, enjoying the company of his ex-fianceé Katharina Mazepa. The pair were seen getting cozy at multiple Art Basel parties throughout the week.
Their PDA came after the pair celebrated Thanksgiving together. The surgeoun, who finalized his divorce from "RHOM" star Lisa Hochstein in November, posted on Instagram with caption, "Happy thanksgiving from St. Barths. Forever grateful for this one @katharinanahlik."

Ice Spice has hit back at critics who have attributed her recent weight loss to the use of medication. Taking to social media, the 24-year-old singer added a meme of a bloated SpongeBob SquarePants with the words "nah she mid bro" among a series of photos that showed her abs.
This response suggests that those who question her transformation should improve their own appearances.
Spice has consistently denied using weight loss drugs. During an interview in August, she expressed confusion about Ozempic and emphasized her reliance on "the gym, eating healthy, and being on tour."
Her rigorous gym workouts have been documented on social media, alongside captions like "we beatin them allegations bae❤️." She attributes much of her weight loss to her active lifestyle and improved nutrition.
"It's called being on tour. Like, what the hell? Maybe if I was sitting home all day, it would be easier to stay big," she said.
In a Rolling Stone interview, Spice revealed her focus on healthy eating to make the most of her youth and health. She acknowledges the pressure women face in a "misogynistic world," where certain opportunities are contingent on physical attractiveness. Despite the challenges, Spice remains confident in her journey.

Breckie Hill Responds to Rumors Barry Keoghan Cheated On Sabrina Carpenter With Her
Breckie Hill is clearing the air about those rumors involving her and Barry Keoghan.
On Saturday evening (December 7), the content creator took to social media to address the reports that Barry cheated on Sabrina Carpenter with her. She explained how the rumors came to be and made it very clear that they were untrue.
“To put it simply for you all, no I did not get with Barry. I have never even encountered this man in my life. The only time I’ve seen him is on my TV screen from watching Saltburn,” Breckie said in a video on her TikTok.
What happened to start the rumors?
“I reposted this video that showed up on my For You page claiming that I was home-wrecking Sabrina Carpenter‘s relationship simply because I thought it was so ridiculous. I’m sorry, but if I really was the one getting with Barry why in the world would I be reposting that,” she said.
Breckie added that people started to read into another clip of her rating drinks. Some thought that her describing a margarita as too salty was a Saltburn reference.
“Coming from someone who has been cheated on in several relationships, I would never want to home wreck any relationship or put any girl through that pain. Ever. Ever,” Breckie said.
She continued, adding, “Now that that has all been said, I just wanted to say I’ve never gone through a worse time in my life,” she said, noting that she was “just constantly being told the worst possible things that you can imagine.”
The creator signed off by urging people to not spread rumors.
Barry and Sabrina split up earlier this week after dating for a year. He deleted his Instagram account amid the reports about him cheating.

O’Shea Jackson Jr. Responds to Andrew Schulz Bringing Up “No Vaseline” to Defend Kendrick Rape Joke: 'Not the Same'
O'Shea Jackson Jr. checked Andrew Schulz after the comedian tried to school him using his father's lyrics to "No Vaseline."
On Wednesday (Dec. 4), the Den of Thieves 2 actor reposted Schulz's recent viral clip, where the Flagrant podcast host responded to Kendrick Lamar seemingly referencing him on GNX opener "Wacced Out Murals." "Don't let no white comedian talk about no Black woman, that's law," rapped the Compton artist on the song.
On his podcast, Schulz strangely responded that if he ended up in a jail cell with the 17-time Grammy winner he'd "make love" to him and joking threatened that "the only thing that he could do is decide if it's consensual or not."
This set off Jackson and Top Dawg Entertainment president Terrence "Punch" Henderson, with the actor calling Schulz a "weird ass n***a" on X.
is caught Schulz's attention, and the comedian asked Jackson to listen to his father's 1991 song "No Vaseline." Jackson has to be more than familiar with the song since he reenacted its recording in the 2015 N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton. At the time, "No Vaseline" was a diss track intended towards late N.W.A. founding member Eazy-E, the group's then-manager Jerry Heller, along with fellow members Dr. Dre, MC Ren, and DJ Yella, over business and financial disputes.
"A metaphor about getting fucked business-wise by your manager Is not the same homie," Jackson wrote to Schulz on Friday (Dec. 6). "He ain’t call you a bitch. He ain’t say fuck you. Didn’t even say your name. And your response was buck breaking. Shit was just crazy."
When someone tried to talk Jackson out of responding to Schulz, the former Swagger star replied, "My post was from two days ago. He bring up my dad and I can’t respond? Ain’t no beef. I just didn’t like the statement."
Jackson makes no apologies about what he said, just like his father doesn't regret dropping "No Vaseline."
"'No Vaseline' is the best diss song in the history of hip-hop, and I'll tell you why," Cube said during a performance earlier this year. "One MC, myself, I took out four muthafuckers and their manager. You can't beat that. You can't beat that. But we did that over 30 years ago so as it stands today I got nothing but love for N.W.A, okay? Nothing but love for Dr. Dre, nothing but love for MC Ren, DJ Yella, Eazy E, rest in peace.

Kelly Price Slams Promoter for Failing to Pay When She Arrived to Perform Friday
The singer went live to inform her fans about the ordeal. Still in full glam, she explained that the promoter had pushed back the payment several times that day. However, given her history with the individual, Price says she showed up anyway, only to learn that they still didn’t have her money.
“I did show up. I actually just left the venue because they weren’t able to complete the transaction. I wasn’t willing to wait to have the completion of the transaction done,” she shared.
Price didn’t share too many details surrounding the show itself. She referenced New Orleans in the video but had previously been promoting a show on her Instagram that was to take place in Baton Rouge, which is about 82 miles northwest of New Orleans. That lineup also featured Keith Sweat, Adina Howard, and Brownstone and was also slated for Friday, December 6th. Noticeably, Price turned the comments off on that post.
“I love New Orleans. And I know that New Orleans loves me. And I know that a lot of times, people want to believe that the artists are on weird stuff or whatever the case may be. And people can have their opinions. But the reality of it is I’ve been doing this over 30 years. And if I was really a flake, I still wouldn’t be out here performing…It’s always a better look for me to be able to take the stage. I’ve known that my entire career. However, at some point, sometimes you can do a favor for a person. Sometimes, you do a favor just because the audience is there. But the reality of it is, you do too many favors, people start believing that they can bring you in and not pay you to sing.”
Price stated that she would give the promoter the opportunity to make things right in hopes that she could return to the area for her fans.

Trina Delivers Scathing Message to Loved Ones: “All Access to Me Is Denied

It’s unclear what took place or who this message is aimed at. However, Trina has previously had a public conflict with a family member. Back in 2022, Trina’s cousin Bobby Lytes revealed that he was “on the outs” with the “Here We Go” star. This followed a heated exchange with her then-fiancé, Raymond Taylor. Lytes suggested that Taylor was causing a wedge between him and Trina.
Thankfully, they reconciled, but it doesn’t mean they haven’t sparred behind the scenes. Trina is currently married to Benjamin Kearse Jr., with whom she tied the knot in May 2024. It’s unknown if the real estate agent is the one who upset Trina, though it’s unlikely that she will share that bit of information. She has chosen to keep much of her marriage under wraps in the months since the wedding.
As of now., none of her loved ones has come forward to shed insight on the matter.
