#RHOA: Porsha Williams Says She "Felt Like a Rookie" Returning to "RHOA
Porsha Williams felt a mix of nerves and excitement about her return to Real Housewives of Atlanta. At Bravo Fan Fest 2024 in Miami on November 23, the 43-year-old shared that she was somewhat anxious about rejoining the popular reality series for its 16th season after taking a two-season break. Williams was a cast member from seasons 5 to 13 and also starred in her own spinoff, Porsha's Family Matters, which aired on Bravo in 2021.
“I swear, on the first day of filming, I felt like a newcomer,” she revealed. “I actually paused and thought, ‘Am I supposed to be looking this way?’” The television star admitted that during her initial scenes, she had to remind herself to stop focusing on the camera. “It took a little while to adjust and make the cameras feel invisible again,” she explained.
Williams is making her comeback after a two-season break, coinciding with her divorce from estranged husband Simon Guobadia. At Bravo Fan Fest, she expressed her gratitude, saying, "God is showing out," following a recent court ruling that granted her temporary sole possession of their home and permission to film there.
“God is good,” she said. “You know, Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, has always been there for me. People may try to predict your future or throw shade, but it’s already written, baby. You can’t change that. It is what it is.” “You just have to stay strong and believe that tomorrow can be better than today,” she added. This update comes less than a year after she filed for divorce from Guobadia in February 2024, citing that their marriage was "irretrievably broken" in court documents obtained.
The star of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip shared last month that therapy has helped her establish boundaries while going through her divorce and filming RHOA at the same time. “I really dove into therapy, and a significant part of it was my therapist encouraging me to focus on self-preservation, which can be challenging in a group setting where you’re expected to share your life,” she said. “I made sure to set clear boundaries about what I felt comfortable discussing with some of the other women and what I preferred to keep private.” She added, “So, finding that balance of protecting myself while still engaging with everyone else has been really beneficial for me.”

#MusicNews: Victoria Monét Releases ‘A Jaguar II Christmas: The Orchestral Arrangements’
Victoria Monét is feeling festive. The Grammy-winning singer has released A Jaguar II Christmas: The Orchestral Arrangements.
The live instrumental project blissfully reimagines selections from Jaguar II, such as “On My Mama” and “How Does It Make You Feel.” Monét and her longtime producer, D’Mile, worked closely with arranger and conductor Maurice “Pirahnahead” Herd, who helmed A Jaguar Christmas.
Original song titles like “Stop (Askin’ Me 4Shyt)” and “Hollywood” are updated with a holiday twist: “Stop (Askin’ Me 4Gifts)” and “Christmas In Hollywood.”
In an Instagram post, Monét wrote, “A gift from me to you (and family friendly for the kids, I promise)!!! Arranged and conducted by @pirahnahead_313 and played by his incredible Soulchestra in Detroit!” She added, “I hope this fills you and your family with much needed holiday cheer and the Christmas spirit!”
As indicated above, Monét launched her holiday tradition in 2020 with A Jaguar Christmas: The Orchestral Arrangements. The project reimagined songs from her lauded Jaguar EP, released in April of that year.
Monét’s Jaguar II Christmas follows her Jaguar II: Deluxe, released in October. The expanded set featured 10 bonus tracks, including the Usher-assisted “SOS (Sex On Sight)” and “We Might Even Be Falling In Love (Duet)” with Bryson Tiller. The latter track was previously released as a Spotify exclusive in 2023.
“I’ve always wanted to extend the interludes from Jaguar Part 1 and was so happy to hear Bryson liked this song enough to make it a little longer,” Monét explained.
The original Jaguar II was released Aug. 25, 2023, via Lovett Music/RCA Records. The album, which debuted at No. 6 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart, included her breakout hit “On My Mama.”
Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman, who co-produced the Grammy-winning song with Deputy and D’Mile, told Rated R&B, “It was a great session. We knew it was special. It’s been amazing to see that song become the cultural groundbreaker that it was. It became a self-affirmation for all of us.”

Wendy Williams Spotted Out After Being Labeled “Permanently Disabled”
Wendy Williams was spotted out enjoying time with family as her legal guardian claims she is permanently incapacitated.
A clip of the 60-year-old was shared on Instagram by blogger Antoine Edwards on Sunday (Dec. 15). According to the caption, the former talk show host was outside of the Sisa Sara’s Shonuff Oysters restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
In the quick video, Williams smiles in the backseat of a truck as restaurant employees greet her with her “How you doing?” catchphrase. She is handed her order of lobster, crab, and original oysters before expressing her gratitude to the staff. During the entire interaction captured for the camera, Williams is all smiles, and seemingly in good spirits.
Last month, Williams was said to be “cognitively impaired, permanently disabled, and legally incapacitated,” per her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina E. Morrissey. The health update was shared in legal documents as reps lead the New Jersey native in a battle against A&E Television Networks, Lifetime Entertainment, and eOne over allegedly “exploiting” her in the the controversial 2024 documentary Where Is Wendy Williams?
The filing alleges the project was “filmed without a valid contract and released without Guardian’s consent,” adding that Williams was in a “highly vulnerable” state and was “clearly incapable of consenting to being filmed, much less humiliated and exploited.”
In February, the broadcast veteran shared she had been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia, a rare nervous system syndrome, and dementia. She has previously been open about her being diagnosed with both Graves’ Disease and Lymphedema.

#BoxOfficeNews: ‘Kraven the Hunter’ Caved With $11 Million Opening Weekend
Kraven may be the world’s greatest hunter, but the comic book villain couldn’t manage the climb to the top of box office charts.
Sony’s “Kraven the Hunter,” a superhero spinoff starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Spider-Man’s notorious foe, launched behind already low expectations, at No. 3 with $11 million from 3,211 theaters. It landed the worst debut for Sony’s Universe of Marvel Characters behind February’s misfire “Madame Web” ($15.3 million), as well as some of the franchise’s lowest-ever marks from critics and audiences with a tragic 15% on Rotten Tomatoes and “C” grade on CinemaScore. That kind of reception signals that, barring a holiday miracle, “Kraven” won’t rebound over the rest of December.
“Kraven the Hunter” is Sony’s third Spider-Man-adjacent adaptation of the year, following October’s “Venom: The Last Dance.” The alien symbiote trilogy, led by Tom Hardy, has proven itself to be critic-proof and commercially successful, although the third and final movie didn’t live up to the box off heights of its predecessors. Sony has otherwise yet to produce a comic book hit from its offshoots led by tertiary Spider-Man baddies. The studio also stumbled in 2022 with “Morbius,” a vampire-inspired thriller with Jared Leto as the fanged villain — another one of Peter Parker’s infamous enemies. These ambitions began at a time when superheroes were all the rage at the box office, but ticket sales for too many recent comic book tentpoles have been decidedly Earth-bound.
The long-delayed “Kraven” cost an upward of $110 million to produce (it was greenlit for $90 million but ballooned after last year’s writers and actors strikes), though it was co-financed by TSG. Directed by J.C. Chandor, the R-rated film explores the origins of Sergei Kravinoff, the comic book character’s alter ego, including his rocky relationship with his crime lord father (Russell Crowe) and his quest to become the greatest hunter.
“As the superhero genre has declined over the last five years, ‘Morbius,’ ‘Madame Web’ and ‘Kraven’ have led the race to the bottom,” says David A. Gross, who runs the movie consulting firm Franchise Entertainment Research. “Kraven’s budget was downsized according to the realities of the market, but it’s still too high for this kind of result.”
Also this weekend, the Warner Bros. anime fantasy film “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” stumbled in fifth place with $4.6 million from 2,602 cinemas in its opening weekend. It carries a modest budget of $30 million, so any losses during its theatrical run won’t be ruinous for the studio. Plus, box office riches weren’t necessarily the impetus for “War of the Rohirrim,” based on J. R. R. Tolkien characters and set 183 years before the events of Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, getting the greenlight. The animated film was developed and fast-tracked to ensure that New Line Cinema didn’t lose the film adaptation rights for Tolkien’s novels while Jackson and the teams behind the “Lord of the Rings” and “Hobbit” trilogies were working on two new live-action films for 2026 and beyond. The first of those movies, tentatively titled “Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum,” will be directed by and star Andy Serkis.
“War of the Rohirrim,” which has mixed reviews and a tepid “B” on CinemaScore, faltered last weekend in its international box office debut with just $2 million from 31 territories. It expands to 42 additional offshore markets over the weekend.
Despite the two newcomers, Disney’s “Moana 2” retained the No. 1 spot on domestic box office charts for the third consecutive weekend with $26.6 million from 4,000 theaters. The Polynesian-set animated adventure, which was originally commissioned for streaming, has become a theatrical smash with $337.5 million in North America and $717 million globally so far. It’s already the year’s fifth highest-grossing movie domestically and fourth-biggest global release.
Universal’s “Wicked” adaptation earned more than double that of “Kraven” even though the big-budget musical has already been playing in theaters for a month. “Wicked” stayed in second place with a dazzling $22.5 million from 3,689 venues in its fourth weekend of release. The film, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, has generated $359 million domestically and more than $524 million worldwide to date. It’s the highest-grossing Broadway adaptation in domestic box office history, ahead of 1978’s “Grease” ($188.62 million), as well as the second-biggest worldwide stage-to-screen reimagining after 2008’s “Mamma Mia” ($611 million).
Paramount’s “Gladiator II” landed in the No. 3 spot with $7.8 million in its fourth frame. The quarter-century-in-the-making sequel to Ridley Scott’s Oscar-winning 2000 epic “Gladiator” has earned $145.9 million in North America and more than $398.5 million globally.
Heading into the coveted holiday frame, overall box office revenues are 4.8% behind 2023 and 23% behind 2019, according to Comscore. “Moana 2” and “Glicked” (the portmanteau for the two films with twin release dates and spiritual sequel of “Barbenheimer”) will continue to rule at multiplexes until Christmastime, when Disney’s “The Lion King” prequel “Mufasa,” Paramount’s “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” and A24’s erotic thriller “Babygirl” all open on Dec. 20. A few days later, the Focus Features’ “Nosferatu” remake and Searchlight’s Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown, starring Timothee Chalamet, land on Dec. 25 to close out the year.

Jamie Foxx left the scene before police arrived and had to get stitches as a result of his injuries.
He took to Instagram to address his followers and supporters by sharing a message that read: “The devil is busy, but I’m too blessed to be stressed.”
In the caption of his post, Jamie wrote: The devil is a lie. Can’t win here… thank you to everybody that pray and check on me…
when your light is shining bright… they try to bring you darkness … but they don’t know that you’re built for it…
the lights have been shining bright… and huge thank yous to everyone that have watched and been inspired by “What Had Happened Was” …

Chris Brown Returns To South Africa With Over 90,000 Attendees Flocking To The Sold-Out Show
On Saturday, over 90,000 people packed out the iconic FBN Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa to attend the landmark performance of Chris Brown. Breezy returned to the city for the first night of his two sold-out concerts.
According to clips from the evening, Chris gave an electrifying two-and-a-half performance highlighting his successful musical career spanning over two decades. The footage showed Breezy opening the show with hits like “Angel Numbers / Ten Toes” and “Heat,” before transitioning to his beloved classics “No Air,” “Don’t Judge Me,” and “Back to Sleep.” But, one of the memorable moments from the show was Chris’s “Wall to Wall” aerial stunt.
Additionally, Breezy had four outfit changes throughout the night to pay homage to the eras in his career, including basketball-inspired streetwear. In an effort to show gratitude to the city, Chris had his DJ to play local South African classics like Brenda Fassie’s “Weekend Special.” He also honored late South African music legends AKA and Riky Rick with hits like “Fela In Versace” and “Boss Zonke.”
Before the show concluded, Chris took a moment to address the crowd while performing his timeless hit “Forever.”
“I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, I love you guys so much. This night means the world to me. I’ve been waiting my whole life for this kind of moment,” he said.
If you’re unaware, Chris’s return to Johannesburg is significant because he was previously banned from South Africa after his high-profile domestic violence incident with ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. Following the announcement of the concert, advocacy group Women For Change launched a petition to cancel the shows due to the DV situation. Despite the pressure, the event still went on and fans made sure they did not miss it.

Woman accusing Jay-Z and Sean 'Diddy' Combs of sexual assault acknowledges inconsistencies
A woman who accused rappers Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexually assaulting her when she was 13 at an awards show after-party has acknowledged certain inconsistencies in her story, while her lawyer said he will continue to vet her claims.
The unnamed woman described being driven from Rochester, New York, to New York City for the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000 and then Combs’ limo driver offering her a ride to an after-party, NBC News reported on Friday. She claimed she spoke with musicians Benji Madden and his brother at the party, and her father picked her up after the alleged assault.
But a representative of the Maddens confirmed to NBC that they were on tour in the Midwest during the VMAs, while her father said he doesn’t remember the drive home of more than five hours.
The woman’s friend who reportedly drove her to the awards has since died, NBC reported. The woman had first sued Combs, alleging she was raped at an after-party, and then amended the lawsuit Sunday to include a new allegation that Jay-Z, whose legal name is Shawn Carter, also was at the party and participated in the sexual assault.
Jay-Z said in a statement that the article proves Tony Buzbee, a personal injury lawyer in Houston, filed a false complaint against him for money and fame.
“This incident didn’t happen and yet he filed it in court and doubled down in the press,” he said. “True Justice is coming. We fight FROM victory, not FOR victory. This was over before it began. This 1-800 lawyer doesn’t realize it yet, but, soon.”
Buzbee told The Associated in an email that if someone raises a new issue which didn’t previously exist, his legal team's job is to continue collecting facts and evidence.
Jay-Z’s attorney, Alex Spiro, asked the court to dismiss the case, saying in a statement, “It is stunning that a lawyer would not only file such a serious complaint without proper vetting, but would make things worse by further peddling this false story in the press.”
The woman admitted to making “some mistakes” when recalling that night, but said she stands by her allegations.
Combs’ attorney, Teny R. Geragos, said in a statement emailed to The Associated Press on Saturday: “Yesterday, a lawyer admitted that over 50 people falsely claimed to be victims. Today, for the second time this week, a Buzbee plaintiff has been exposed. This is the beginning of the end of this shameful money grab.”
The litigation is part of a wave of sexual assault lawsuits levied against Combs as the hip-hop mogul remains in custody in New York awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.
The unnamed woman said that while she was in the limousine, she was asked to sign a nondisclosure document. Once at the party, the lawsuit said, she took a drink that made her feel “woozy and lightheaded” and went into a bedroom to lie down.
She said Combs and Jay-Z then barged into the room, along with another unnamed celebrity, and raped her. The woman said she eventually escaped the room, fled the house and called for a ride from a nearby gas station.
Jay-Z, a 24-time Grammy award winning rapper, producer and music mogul, anonymously sued Buzbee last month, alleging he was attempting to blackmail the rapper by threatening to make the rape allegation public if he did not agree to a legal settlement. Jay-Z said Buzbee sent a letter to his lawyer appearing to seek a settlement, which had the “opposite effect” on him.
Buzbee previously said the notion that he was trying to blackmail Jay-Z is “stupid and laughable” and his letter simply sought confidential mediation in the litigation.
Buzbee announced at a news conference in October that he represents some 120 people, men and women, with allegations of sexual misconduct against Combs.

#JUSTMARRIED Yvette Nicole Brown marries Anthony Davis in stunning celebration
Yvette Nicole Brown has married Anthony Davis. The 53-year-old actress got engaged to the 47-year-old actor towards the end of last year, and the happy couple tied the knot at an “intimate, classy and fun” ceremony with just 200 guests on Saturday (14.12.24) at The Maybourne Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. The luxury venue is known for hosting numerous celebrity weddings throughout its history.
Yvette’s brother Paris had the honour of walking the former ‘Drake and Josh’ star down the aisle, as her father has Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s affects approximately 6.7 million Americans aged 65 and older, making family support crucial during significant life events.
Both Yvette’s mom and Anthony’s parents are sadly no longer alive so their siblings “stood in”. This touching gesture demonstrates the importance of family bonds during milestone moments.
“Neither of our parents were able to be there in person,” Yvette told People. “So my brother and his sister stood in, so it was nice to walk down the aisle toward family and with family, even if it’s not the family we wish we had in those roles.” The couple’s decision to include siblings in traditional parental roles reflects a growing trend in modern weddings.
The bride wore a dramatic lacy fishtail gown by Ines Di Santo and the groomed looked dapper in a custom brown velvet suit by Vinny’s Custom Clothes, complete with cufflinks carrying a sweet message about meeting his life partner and one of the pale pink roses from Yvette’s bouquet. Ines Di Santo is renowned for creating custom wedding gowns for celebrities worldwide.
“If you can imagine having one wing in your life and trying to fly with one wing, you kind of go in circles,” Anthony gushed over Yvette. “Now that I’ve found my other wing, I can fly straight and land where I need to land.” Their love story has captured hearts across Hollywood.
The ‘Community’ star confessed that she was “nervous” about getting emotional in front of her guests. Wedding anxiety is a common experience, affecting up to 70% of brides and grooms before their big day.
“The idea that all of our friends and family would be there, and the spotlight would be on us, it’s nervous,” she said. “I’ve been on sets before. I know that when they say ‘action,’ everybody gets quiet and people speak and you’re performing in that instance in front of a lot of people. But that’s a character, right? So the idea that I am not performing, these are real words and real emotions, and we’re really in front of everybody we know and love, [that made me] nervous.”
After the main event, the guests enjoyed cocktails and a meal of sea bass and short rib as a harp was played. Live harp music has become increasingly popular at luxury weddings, with classical music shown to create a calming atmosphere for guests.
The new Mr and Mrs Davis later cut into a lemon and strawberry shortcake cake adorned with flowers. The cake’s flavors were specially chosen to reflect the couple’s favorite desserts.
Yvette hopes her wedding is an inspiration for those who doubt they will get married later in life. Statistics show that marriages later in life often have higher success rates due to increased emotional maturity and life experience.
“Because I am of a certain age and I never thought it would happen for me, my wedding can be an inspirational moment,” she said. Her story resonates with many, as studies show an increasing trend in couples choosing to marry later in life, with the average age of first marriages continuing to rise in recent years.
The wedding celebration brought together the couple’s closest friends from the entertainment industry, though the guest list was kept private to maintain the intimate nature of the ceremony. The Maybourne Beverly Hills, known for its discrete service, provided the perfect backdrop for this heartfelt celebration of love.

Chris Rock has gone under the knife to alter his look, according to many social media users. The former "Everybody Hates Chris" star sparked rumors about plastic surgery after his hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live".
On Sunday, December 15, the 59-year-old comedian/actor became a hot topic on X, formerly known as Twitter. Some social media users were discussing the possibility of him undergoing plastic surgery since he looked different on the show.
One in particular tweeted, "Welp Chris Rock got replaced. Not one forehead wrinkle, His face is square, Skin is so plastic. Takes 2 seconds to see that ain't him. His skin is a weird almost purple color." Another asked, "What the hell did Chris Rock's surgeon do to his face?"

I'm not afraid to ask the DIFFICULT questions... What is going on with Chris Rock's face??? #SNL." The comments came after Chris took the iconic Studio 8H stage at 30 Rockefeller Plaza to host "Saturday Night Live" for the fourth time. For the hosting gig on Saturday, December 14, the former host of "The Chris Rock Show" went with a casual ensemble. He opted to wear a black top that came with a high neck design and two long sleeves, which he rolled up to reach his elbows. He also sported a pair of long dark gray pants.
To complete the look, Chris, who showed off his youthful appearance, put on a pair of white sneakers. He accessorized himself with one bracelet around each of his wrists. He also had a silver necklace around his neck and a pair of simple earrings. In addition, he flaunted his short black hair and clean-shaven look.

HBO Ends Sesame Street Deal
Warner Bros. Discovery has opted not to renew its deal for new episodes of Sesame Street on Max.
“It has been a wonderful, creative experience working with everyone at Sesame Street on the iconic children’s series, and we are thrilled to be able to keep some of the library series on Max in the U.S.,” Max said in a statement. “As we’ve launched Max, though, and based on consumer usage and feedback, we’ve had to prioritize our focus on stories for adults and families, and so new episodes from Sesame Street, at this time, are not as core to our strategy.”
Per their previous deal, Sesame Street‘s library episodes will remain on Max until 2027. The current season, 55, will still be available on Max soon.
Sesame Street has been on HBO since 2016. In 2019, the companies reached a five-year deal for Max and HBO, which is now coming to an end.

Tyler Perry Voices Interest in Making Christmas Movie, Non-interest in Making Superhero Flick
*Anyone dreaming of Tyler Perry making a superhero movie can rest easy. It’s not going to happen.
During an interview at the recent premiere of his new World War II film, “The Six Triple Eight,” the actor/film and TV producer admitted that while his son enjoys superhero adventures on the big screen and he watches them with him, don’t expect him to add the high action genre to his filmmaking catalog.
“You’ve got to have a passion for it. I’m not a big superhero person” Perry told Variety. “They’ve never been something that I enjoy.” However, he then said, “my son enjoys them, so we watch them together.”
Helming a film with super-powered characters may not be in Perry’s future, but he is interested in putting his stamp on a feature he already has music in mind for.
“It’s going to have a lot of gospel music,” the entertainment mogul shared while mentioning that he is currently writing a Christmas film.
Currently, Perry’s focus is on “The Six Triple Eight.” The forthcoming war drama, which he directed, wrote, and co-produced, centers on the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, a predominantly black, all-female battalion that served overseas during World War II.
Prior to “The Six Triple Eight,” Perry’s aim was to bring his passion project, 2022’s “A Jazzman’s Blues,” to the masses. Despite it being a noteworthy endeavor, Perry admits he was doubtful about what was on his movie-making horizon afterward.
“‘A Jazzman’s Blues’ was the first thing I wrote. It took me 27 years to make it,” he said. “Once I made it, I felt like I’ve done it, I’m good. I kind of lost that drive for the next thing.”
That next thing was “The Six Triple Eight,” which put a fire in Perry to make.
“I was embarrassed that I didn’t know the story,” he revealed. “There were 855 Black women in World War II and nobody knew it? But I found out one of the reasons was because a lot of the women came back from the war and were ashamed. What they were hearing was that people thought they were sent over to be concubines for Black soldiers because there were white soldiers who were upset that Black soldiers were dating European women. So they thought that was why all these women were over there just for that reason, and it wasn’t that way.”
“The Six Triple Eight,” is set to be released on Dec. 20 on Netflix.
So what say you? If Tyler Perry decided to make a superhero movie, what kind of movie would it be? Would he take on a hero or villain connected to Marvel or DC? Or would it be a character created by him to save the day?

Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and more honor Sandy Hook victims on 12th anniversary of tragedy
Saturday (Dec. 14) marked 12 years since the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, which claimed the lives of 20 students and six educators. Many of the surviving children have since graduated high school or are preparing to do so. In the wake of families and friends remembering their loved ones, President Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and several other officials used the milestone to once again push for urgent measures to combat gun violence.
“Jill and I still grieve this unimaginable loss and continue to pray for the victims’ families and others traumatized by this senseless violence,” Biden wrote in a White House press release. He then commended those who turned their “pain into purpose” through foundations, such as Sandy Hook Promise or Safe and Sound Schools.
“Congress has an obligation to ‘do something’ in order to protect our children and communities from this scourge of gun violence. We are the only nation experiencing this epidemic and there are common sense policies that the majority of Americans agree with and that Congress can easily take action on,” he further explained.
The renewed pressure comes in the wake of a bipartisan gun safety bill passed by Congress and signed into law by Biden in June 2022. It tightened background checks for buyers aged 18-21, made straw purchasing and trafficking firearms federal crimes and clarified what qualifies as a federally licensed firearm dealer.
“They should still be with us — finishing their first semester of college, teaching, laughing, and making new memories,” VP Harris wrote on Twitter. “We must honor their memory with action that addresses gun violence.”
School safety advocate JT Lewis also remembered his late brother, Jesse, who helped save nine lives after the perpetrator’s, Adam Lanza, gun was jammed. “He saved nine lives that day, but not his own. He was 6 years old,” the post read.

Donald Trump Explores Privatizing the United States Postal Service; Experts Warn of Massive Job Loss
In recent weeks, Donald Trump has reportedly revisited the possibility of privatizing the United States Postal Service (USPS) due to its significant financial loss.
According to the Washington Post, the move was discussed during a meeting at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, with specifics surrounding the privatization plans remaining unclear. But, insiders close to the situation say that with Trump’s second term set to kick off on January 20th, the idea has been gaining major attention.
Trump’s criticism of the postal service can be traced back to his first presidential term, where he clashed with the agency over its operational decisions. At the time, Trump attempted to gain control by urging the agency to turn over the key functions to the federal treasury department. Of course, this spiraled into controversy, especially during the 2020 Presidential election when Trump spoke on the agency’s ability to handle mail-in ballots. Later on, his administration blocked emergency funding for the agency, which resulted in widespread fear of delayed voting. Despite this, USPS was able to deliver nearly 98% of ballots to election officials within three days.

Established in 1775, the USPS has remained one of the most popular federal institutions. However, in recent years, financial struggles have loomed over the agency. In fact, the fiscal year for USPS which concluded on September 30th, reportedly saw a $95 billion loss and nearly $80 billion in liabilities. Even though efforts have been put in place to improve infrastructure, the decline in mail volume and lagging parcel shipments have kept the agency in a rough spot.
Despite Trump’s renewed focus on privatization due to financial losses, he believes the USPS should not be taxpayer-subsidized. Critics warn that privatizing USPS could lead to significant job losses and disruptions in consumer shipping and business supply chains.
