Actress, singer, and CEO Keke Palmer is known as one of the most employed and employable women in Hollywood. Ever since she stepped into the spotlight at age 11, she has managed herself as an artist and a business, all while remaining true to her authenticity. In her cover story with SELF, the two-time author opens up about the challenges she’s dealt with throughout her life, alongside the community and perspective that’s helped her through it all.
On overcoming crippling anxiety after having her first child: “Therapy. I was in therapy. I also worked out, was journaling a bit, and spending a lot of time with my family. Family is everything to me, and my family has always been there for me.”
On struggling with fame as a young person: “I wouldn’t understand it at the time, but I think when I was younger, I did hold a lot of grudges and it was truly suffocating for me. I felt so isolated in my experience and I blamed everyone around me… I never really told anybody. I was just writing it in my journal.”
On handling isolation as a celebrity: “How I deal with it is to not center myself. I think about all the other people who feel weird in the world, because if we take all the glamour out of it, and all the specifics and uniqueness of what it means to be famous, it just means feeling weird. I think everybody in the world feels extraordinarily alienated, and we feel even more alienated when we alienate others. And that’s what comes with fame.”
On learning more about her family history: “So my grandmother’s great-grandparents were…one of them was a biracial woman—half-white—and then the plantation owner’s son. He wasn’t married to her, obviously. She was a free woman and she took him to court. I was really shocked—they had the actual case documents of her being like, ‘Andy Ivy, you need to give money for our son!’”
On gaining power through controlling her narrative: “Everybody always felt so bad for me, like I was so much better than where I came from—when the reality is, I am who I am because of where I came from. I love my parents. We are doing this together. So it’s also a lot of reclaiming the fact that my life may be different, but please don’t pity me and don’t make me feel like I’m some kind of sob story, because I’m proud of who I am.”
#RHOA: Kenya Moore Reaffirms She’s ‘The Most Vindicated Person On Reality TV’ Ahead Of Season 16
There’s good news to report for #TeamTwirl! Kenya Moore says she will be “vindicated” once the truth behind the revenge porn rumors, which led to her stepping away from #RHOA earlier this year, is revealed on Season 16 of the hit Bravo show.
In a Dec. 2 interview with Thembi Mawema on Stepping Into The Shade Room, the reality TV star revealed that she will make a brief appearance on the forthcoming season of #RHOA despite her departure from the show. She also addressed rumors that she was “fired” due to the revenge porn allegations made by co-star Brittany Eady, firmly insisting that was not the case.
“I said before, just in the recent interview, all of the rumors about, you know, revenge porn were not true. That was a complete lie,” the housewife told Thembi at the 10:27 minute mark. ”That was something that someone put out there, and then it just kind of like took over that space…I’ve never been fired! You can’t fire me,” the mother of one laughed.
What Happened With Kenya Moore On The New Season Of #RHOA?
Kenya was temporarily suspended from filming Season 16 after being accused of showing sexually explicit images of Brittany during the opening of her new hair salon in Atlanta—allegations that she has since taken accountability for.
As previously reported, Kenya Moore appeared on Tamron Hall in November, where she took responsibility for sharing inappropriate images of RHOA Season 16 newcomer Brittany Eady, a move that ultimately led to her exit from the show. Kenya explained that she was acting in self-defense, as well as in the protection of her daughter, when she exposed what she described as “distasteful” photos of Brittany during the opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa. She claimed the photos were shared after Eady allegedly threatened her, though it’s unclear whether the images were sexually explicit.
Kenya Reaffirms She’s Still Under Contract With Bravo
When Thembi asked if Kenya could reveal some juicy details about the forthcoming season and the controversy, Kenya kept things mum, stating that she was “still under contract” by Bravo.
“So, that’s why I can’t really talk about a lot of things. Because, you know, we filmed the season months and months ago, and it won’t even air until 2025…So I can’t give that stuff away,” the star told Thembi.
Still, when fans got to see the new season, Kenya vowed that she would be vindicated from the vicious rumors, which ties into something super producer Carlos King previously said about her.
“In the words of one of my former producers, I am the most vindicated person in reality TV, because it’s always a lot of talk until you see it, and then they go, ‘Oh, wow, Kenya was right.’”
Kenya Also Opened Up About Her Favorite & Least Favorite Housewives, Shaded Marlo
Later in the interview, Thembi asked the 53-year-old star if there was a Real Housewives cast member who, in her opinion, brought “nothing” to the show or lacked the spice needed to captivate viewers over the years. Kenya disagreed with the premise, saying that an ensemble cast is not about one person.
She explained that while some cast members naturally become stars who draw viewers in, the success of the franchise as a whole comes from the dynamic between all the women. She added that viewers tune in to see how certain women handle situations or deliver iconic moments, like reading someone, which keeps the audience hooked.
“But you can’t have everybody at level 10,” she clarified. “You have to have someone who is, like a Cynthia, who is kind of like everyone’s friend and in Switzerland most of the time.”
The star also said a few housewives over the years left the franchise “too soon,” such as Eva Marcille, who could read anyone on the show “without batting an eye.”
Kenya also expressed her admiration for Claudia Jordan, calling her a standout who came on the show and “caused a storm.”
However, when asked to pick someone who wasn’t pulling their weight, the RHOA star didn’t hesitate to say it would definitely be Marlo. In fact, she believes Marlo was the most desperate to hold a peach.
“There’s no way, I’m not gonna be 12 Years a Slave to anybody,” the star quipped. “I’ll be 12 years a star!”
When it comes to the title of “Queen of Reads,” Kenya confidently crowned #RHOA alum NeNe Leakes as the reigning champ.
“In her day, you know, Nene could read. She was funny, which I love, you know, I like that balance of being funny and being quick with it. I think everyone has gotten some great reads in you know, to a degree.”

#HipHopNews: Diddy’s Son Christian Combs Allegedly Served Papers Regarding Assault Claims
Diddy‘s son King Combs has reportedly been officially served with a lawsuit by the woman who accused him of sexual assault earlier this year.
According to a report from In Touch on Monday (December 2), King (real name Christian Combs) was served at his father’s Miami mansion for a rape alleged to have occurred during a “hedonistic” yacht party in 2022.
The lawsuit was filed by Grace O’Marcaigh in April, using the same lawyer who represents producer Lil Rod in a similar suit filed against Diddy in February. King Combs is accused of assault, battery, sexual assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
O’Marcaigh says she worked as a stewardess in the yachting industry since 2018 with plans to make it a lifelong career – but that Combs has since ruined her plans
According to her suit, Combs joined his father on a yacht he’d chartered, where O’Marcaigh was working. While she says it was “sold as a wholesome family excursion,” it turned into “a hedonistic environment” with tons of people she believes were sex workers.
“It resulted in an unexpected increase in workload for her and her colleagues as well as unwanted exposure to unlawful drug use, sex work, and general chaos,” the suit reads.
Regarding the incident, O’Marcaigh says Combs took an interest in her during one shift, which she “considered very inappropriate.” He allegedly pressured her to drink with him, then “violently grabbed [Grace’s] arm and began hurting her. He pulled [Grace] to the seat beside him and prevented her from getting up.”
She alleges she asked to leave but he denied her request and instead made her take more shots – which she “quickly suspected” were spiked. He allegedly cornered her in a room and showed her his erection, but she was able to escape after someone else walked in.
The suit continues: “In addition to losing her employment, [Grace] also lost her longtime partner, with whom she had planned a future. [Grace’s] partner was never the same after seeing [Grace’s] bruises on her body because of [Christian’s] sexual assault and having to deal with the mental and emotional ramifications, so they separated.”
“[Grace’s] mental health deteriorated to the point that she was medicated and required intensive therapy. Additionally, she fell into a deep depression and was unable to fully carry out her maid of honor duties at the wedding of her only sister in June 2023, which she had been looking forward to doing for over eighteen months.
At the time of the filing in April, both King Combs and Diddy’s lawyer Aaron Dyer responded with a statement that focused largely on the alleged victim’s lawyer:
“This is just another lewd and meritless claim from Tyrone Blackburn — just like what he filed in the Rodney Jones lawsuit, which he still has not served. This complaint is filled with the same kind of manufactured lies and irrelevant facts we’ve come to expect from Blackburn. This is exactly why the federal judge in New York slapped him two days ago for a ‘pattern of behavior’ in ‘improperly [filing] cases in federal court to garner media attention, embarrass defendants with salacious allegations, and pressure defendants to settle quickly,’ and why he was referred to the disciplinary committee in the Southern District of New York. We will be filing a motion to dismiss this outrageous claim.”
Judge Greg Mathis Sued For Allegedly Threatening To Shoot City Worker
Judge Greg Mathis has been sued for allegedly threatening to shoot a municipal worker after a heated exchange. According to TMZ, Ricardo Acosta, who was working with the L.A. Dept. of Water and Power in July 2023, filed a suit against Mathis for assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The suit recalls Acosta working on a job outside of Greg Mathis’ home where the judge attempts to pull his car out of the driveway. As Mathis pulled his car out, he began shouting expletives at Acosta and others, demanding that they “move the f**king truck out of the way.” Mathis then exited his car at some point and began standing behind their dump truck, where he continued making demands.
Acosta claimed to have told the TV personality to move for his safety, as they feared that the truck would accidentally run him over. Mathis allegedly asserted that he “did not give a f**k and to run him over and see what happens to him.” At this point, Mathis then told Acosta that “he had something for him,” to which he went inside his home and later returned with a firearm. “I will bust a cap…you wanna f**k with me,” Mathis told the man as he got back into the car.
Judge Greg Mathis’ attorney, Anahita Sedaghatfar, spoke to TMZ about Acosta’s lawsuit. She called out Ricardo’s attempt to “extort” her client, saying, “Mr. Acosta’s recitation of the ‘facts’ simply do not comport with what actually transpired during the incident, which occurred over one year ago.”

“That the LAPD did not even investigate Mr. Acosta’s claims speaks to their lack of merit. Should Mr. Acosta pursue this lawsuit, we will not only vigorously defend the case, we will file cross claims against Mr. Acosta for his illegal conduct and repeated defamation of my client,” she added.
Ricardo Acosta states that he’s going after Judge Greg Mathis for an undisclosed amount of damages.
Gervonta Davis To Retire From Boxing In 2025: “This Sh*t’s Trash”
Davis added that he wants to fight in at least three more bouts before he steps away from the ring for good. Interestingly enough, Tank hasn’t fought more than two times in a full year since 2019.
The question of who the boxer would face after his championship fight with Lamont Roach on March 1 at the Barclays Center arose at the conference. When asked about a potential showdown with WBC Lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson as one of his final matches, Davis immediately dismissed the idea.
“For what? What has Shakur done?” Davis asked rhetorically. “What has he done in the sport? He hasn’t done nothing. Keyshawn Davis is looking way better than him, and Keyshawn hasn’t even done nothing. I’m afraid of what? For us fighters to be afraid of someone, it has to be someone who’s hitting us and hurting us. [Stevenson] doesn’t have no offense, everything is defense. Defense only wins in basketball and football. That sh*t don’t win in boxing.
Davis previously defended his title against Frank Martin in July. Davis defeated Martin with a knockout blow in the eighth round of the main event. The win carried Tank to a perfect 30-0 in his career, with 28 wins arriving by KO. Frank Martin fell to 18-1 on his career, suffering his first loss in the ring.
Trial of Andrew Lester, Ralph Yarl’s shooter, set for February 2025
The controversial case of a Kansas City teenager shot while picking up his siblings is moving forward, with the trial date set for Feb. 18, 2025. The incident, which occurred in April 2023, sparked nationwide discussions about race, safety, community relations and justice in America.
The night that changed everything
What should have been a routine errand turned life-changing when Ralph Yarl, then 16, approached the wrong address while picking up his younger brothers. The mix-up between Northeast 115th Street and Northeast 115th Terrace led to a confrontation that left the honor student with serious injuries from two gunshot wounds.
Legal proceedings advance
Clay County Circuit Court Judge David P. Chamberlain confirmed the trial schedule, which includes an additional week beginning February 24 if needed. Andrew Lester, 86 — the one who shot Yarl — faces charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action. He maintains his innocence against allegations of reckless behavior in the shooting.
The court recently received Lester’s mental health evaluation, according to KCTV 5, though its contents remain confidential. His defense team has expressed concerns about securing an impartial jury due to the case’s extensive media coverage, including attention from prominent entertainment figures like Halle Berry and Kim Kardashian.
Beyond the courtroom
The shooting’s impact extends far beyond physical injuries. The teenager — who previously focused on academics and music — now grapples with ongoing trauma and heightened awareness of potential dangers in everyday situations. His family continues advocating for accountability while highlighting broader systemic issues that need addressing.
Looking ahead
If convicted, Lester could face life imprisonment for the assault charge, plus an additional three to 15 years for armed criminal action. As the trial approaches, the case remains a focal point in discussions about community safety and equal justice under law.
The outcome of this trial carries significance not just for those directly involved, but for communities across the nation grappling with similar concerns. As February approaches, many await to see how justice will unfold in this pivotal case that has resonated with people nationwide.
UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson Killed In Targeted Shooting
UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson tragically lost his life early Wednesday morning in a suspected targeted shooting outside a Manhattan hotel.
The incident occurred near the Hilton Hotel, where the health insurance giant was hosting an investor conference.
According to a source briefed on the investigation, the 50-year-old CEO was shot around 6:45 a.m. New York City Mayor Eric Adams addressed the incident, stating it does not appear to have been random.
“This was not what appears to be a just random act of violence. It seems to be clearly targeted by an individual, and we will apprehend that individual,” Mayor Adams said.
Thompson was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after.
The suspect fled the scene, and police are actively reviewing evidence, including video footage, to track down the perpetrator.
UnitedHealthcare, the insurance division of UnitedHealth Group, had planned to update investors on its future goals and strategies at the conference.
Following the shooting, the company ended the event prematurely, notifying attendees of the tragedy.
The shooting took place in a bustling area of Manhattan, near major landmarks like the Museum of Modern Art and Rockefeller Center.
The location was crowded with tourists and office workers, especially with preparations underway for the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting scheduled for later that evening.
Authorities cordoned off part of the block where the shooting occurred, with a heavy police presence and security cameras nearby.
Brian Thompson had been with UnitedHealthcare since 2004 and served as CEO for more than three years, leading the company through significant milestones.
This shocking act of violence has left the community and business world in mourning, as investigators work to uncover the motive behind the attack.
Nick Cannon Denies Orlando Brown’s Allegations:I Did Not use Fellatio with Orlando Brown
Nick Cannon is setting the record straight after Orlando Brown made wild claims about their past.
In a recent episode of Daily Cannon, Nick Cannon addressed allegations made by Orlando Brown, who had stated that Nick “sucked his cannon,” implying it played a role in his divorce from Mariah Carey. Cannon wasted no time responding, saying,
“I did not suck Orlando Brown’s d*ck.” He added, “I don’t take him serious. I think he’s in a mental space where he knows he’s trolling.
Cannon also hinted that he hasn’t pursued legal action against Brown because he doesn’t believe Orlando has the financial means to make it worthwhile.

Hoda Kotb Calls Out Jenna Bush Over Joke About Gayle King As 'Today' Replacement
Jenna Bush Hager is navigating mixed emotions about Hoda Kotb's upcoming departure from the "Today" show, playfully using Gayle King as a comedic foil. During the December 3 episode of "Today with Hoda & Jenna", Bush Hager admitted to dealing with her frustration by teasing Kotb about King, who hosts "CBS Mornings".
Bush Hager jokingly referred to King as her "bestie" and suggested she could fill Kotb's seat. Kotb responded with mock outrage, but Bush Hager continued her playful ribbing, saying, "Gayle King loves Shaboozey."
However, Kotb called out Bush Hager's tactics, saying, "She's shading me. She brings up Gayle King 10 times during our show."
Bush Hager admitted her actions were a way to cope with Kotb's impending departure. "Today, that's the anger I have," she told guest Mikey Day. "I have abandonment issues with her leaving."
Kotb, who announced her departure in September, will leave the show on January 10, 2025. "Today with Hoda & Jenna" will be renamed 'Today with Jenna & Friends' with Bush Hager hosting alongside rotating guest co-hosts until a permanent replacement is found.
Bush Hager's comments come after Hoda Kotb appeared upset on the December 6 episode of "Today with Hoda & Jenna" when Bush Hager suggested that King could replace her. Kotb responded by saying, "My seat isn't even cold yet!"
Despite the playful jabs, Kotb praised King, saying, "I love Gayle. She just..." Bush Hager interrupted, saying, "There's a seat open and I know you have a job at 60 Minutes and such, but Gayle and Jenna... it has a beautiful ring!"
Kotb's departure will mark a significant change for the "Today" show. Craig Melvin will replace her alongside Savannah Guthrie come January 13, 2025.

Halle Bailey Shares How She Plans to Celebrate 11-Month-Old Son Halo's 'First Official Christmas'
Halle Bailey is having an extra special Christmas this year! The Little Mermaid star, 24, appeared on Today with Hoda & Jenna alongside her sister, Chloe Bailey, as they shared a little bit about their roles as Pandora global ambassadors. As they discussed their partnership, Halle said that their family was gearing up to celebrate the holidays with an extra member this year — her 11-month-old son Halo.
"We'll be home in L.A. Lots of food, lots of gifts, lots of things for Halo," Halle said of her family's Christmas plans. "It's going to be his Christmas."
"His first official Christmas!" Chloe added
In October, Halle got candid about her feelings as she transitioned to being a working mom.
The actress shared a few photos on her Snapchat as she traveled away from home for work, having to leave her baby boy behind. "Flying tonight to be somewhere for one day but having crippling anxiety without my son," she wrote on the photo of son Halo, which showed her on a plane looking sad.
"Any advice for moms who still can't handle when they have to leave for work?" she asked.
Halle later added another photo on her Snapchat of a glass of champagne, writing, "Maybe a little bubbly will help."
Earlier that same month, her ex-boyfriend DDG, with whom she shares Halo, confirmed that the two had broken up.
In a statement shared to DDG's Instagram Stories, the rapper wrote, "Dear friends and supporters, After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. The decision was not easy, but we believe it's the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we've spent together and the love we shared."
"Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other," DDG continued.
Moving forward, DDG said that he and Bailey will "focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents," as they "cherish the bond we've built and the beautiful moments we've shared."
Paris & Nicole Have Operatic Dreams in New Trailer for Their ‘Encore’ on Peacock
Specifically, and seemingly for real-ish, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie want to adapt their “Sanasa” catchphrase into an actual opera — a lark that elicits all kinds of reactions in the trailer narrated by Alan Cumming (of Peacock’s The Traitors).
“In this new special, Paris and Nicole bring fans up to speed on their lives and friendship in a way that only true legends can,” the official description tells us. “Get ready to fall back in love with this fearsome twosome as they put on an unforgettable performance… Sanasa, sanasa!”
Hilton and Richie’s The Simple Life premiered in 2003 and ran for five seasons — three on Fox, followed by two on E! — and revolved around the concept of having the rich-girl besties perform average-joe jobs, despite never having worked a day in their charmed lives.
A falling-out in 2005 led Hilton to issue a statement confirming that “Nicole and I are no longer friends… Nicole knows what she did, and that’s all I’m ever going to say about it.” They later repaired the relationship in the intervening years, with Richie attending Hilton’s 2022 wedding to Carter Reum.
In September of 2023, Hilton marked Richie’s 42nd birthday with a series of photos from various eras of their friendship, including several from their Simple Life days.
“When I look back on my life, so many of my most memorable and special memories were with you,” she wrote at the time. “No one makes me laugh the way you do, you are one of the most hilarious people on the planet. You are so much fun to be around. You light up every room you walk into and have a heart of gold. So lucky to have you in my life! Can’t wait to make more memories together!”
NYC Mayor Eric Adams Shifts Stance: Open to Deporting Migrants & He Supports Jordon Neely's killer
*In a significant policy shift, New York City Mayor Eric Adams recently announced that he is open to deporting migrants who have been charged with crimes, moving away from his previous stance of waiting for convictions.
This change comes amidst rising public concern over crime in the city and the incoming administration under President-elect Donald Trump, which is expected to increase deportation efforts.
“My position is people who commit crimes in our city, you have abdicated your right to be in our city and I am open to figure out the best way to address that,” Adams said during a press briefing where he articulated his resolve to take a firm stance on public safety.
He emphasized his commitment to creating a safer environment for all New Yorkers, notably highlighting a recent incident involving a migrant accused of shooting at police officers as a clear impetus for his hardening position.
“I don’t want that guy in my city, plain and simple,” he asserted.
Adams’ comments come at a time when immigration policies are under scrutiny. The Mayor acknowledged the complicated relationship between immigration and crime, making it clear that his priority lies with the safety of his constituents. He pointedly criticized what he views as a reluctance among progressive leaders to address the issue of deporting criminal migrants, declaring, “Cancel me, because I’m going to protect the people of this city.”
The Mayor’s stance is particularly notable given New York City’s long history as a sanctuary city, a designation that offers protections to undocumented immigrants, the NY Post is reporting. While Adams has expressed compassion for the hundreds of thousands of migrants who have settled in the city, he drew a line at those who engage in criminal behavior.
His willingness to collaborate with Trump’s administration, including meeting with the new immigration enforcement lead, Tom Homan, illustrates a shift toward potential compromise in immigration policy.
Homan has previously suggested withholding federal funds from cities like New York that resist federal immigration authorities, indicating that the federal government is prepared to escalate enforcement efforts if local cooperation is lacking. Adams’ approach signals a potential openness to re-evaluating the boundaries of the city’s sanctuary laws, specifically in cases where serious crimes are involved.
Simultaneously, the Mayor faced scrutiny regarding his comments on the death of Jordan Neely, a Black homeless man with a criminal record, during a subway altercation. Neely’s death at the hands of a Marine veteran, Daniel Penny, sparked widespread debate about mental health and public safety in the transit system. In his defense of Penny, Adams acknowledged the fears of subway passengers in response to Neely’s threatening behavior.
“You have someone [Penny] on that subway who was responding, doing what we should have done as a city,” the NYC mayor said on the Nov. 30 episode of “The Rob Astorino Show.”
The case is now in the hands of its just. Deliberations resume on Wednesday (12-04-24).
The overlapping narratives of the Neely case and the discussion on deporting criminal migrants demonstrate the complexities of public safety, immigration, and community health. As Adams navigates these issues, he maintains his position that the protection of New Yorkers is paramount.
Critics of Adams’ new policy direction express concern that such measures might lead to increased fear among immigrant communities and may not directly address the root causes of crime. However, the Mayor remains resolute, insisting that the challenges facing New York require tough decisions and clear boundaries for those who threaten the safety of its residents.
As New York City braces for possible changes under Trump’s administration and grapples with its own public safety issues, the dynamics of immigration policy and community safety will remain at the forefront of public discourse in the coming months. The outcomes of these evolving policies will significantly impact the immigrant experience and the overall safety landscape in one of the country’s most diverse cities.
AIDS Awareness Month: Breaking Down The Stigma Of The Ongoing Epidemic
The month of December has finally arrived, meaning it’s time to join together to observe AIDS Awareness Month. The month is dedicated to raising awareness about the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic, supporting those individuals living with the disease, and remembering the loved ones we’ve lost due to the illness. While significant technological advancements have been made since the epidemic rose in the 1980s, the fight to tackle this disease is far from over.
But before we can really take over dissecting the disease, we have to understand the difference between HIV and AIDS. The Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) are highly related but very distinct. To break it down, HIV is a virus that targets and weakens the immune system. If HIV is left untreated and progresses over time, the virus can lead to AIDS, which is the most advanced stage of HIV. Once the virus reaches this stage, the immune system is severely impacted, leaving the individual at high risk of developing certain cancers and infections.
Despite this disease being aggressive, throughout the years, scientists have made remarkable changes by transforming HIV/AIDS from a deadly diagnosis to a manageable condition. By incorporating Antiretroviral therapy (ART), individuals can live long and healthy lives while decreasing the risk of transmission. Additionally, Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is a more recent drug that offers effective protection for those at risk of contracting HIV/AIDS, and the stigma surrounding the virus remains one of the biggest blockages to getting people access to support and resources.
Education is a powerful tool in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Understanding how the virus is transmitted, the significance of getting tested regularly, and staying up to date with preventative measures and treatment can end the misinformation that’s consistently spreading. Knowing your status not only protects you but also prevents further transmission. To help make this process smoother, many clinics and community centers offer free or low-cost testing, making it accessible to everyone.
Nonetheless, despite the fact that there is currently no cure for this disease, researchers are continuing to work towards reaching that goal. Advances in gene therapy and injectable treatment are improving daily, offering hope to those individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
#MAGFAB: Keke Palmer For SELF Magazine December 2024

Gervonta Davis has announced that he’s walking away from boxing. During a recent press conference for his WBA Lightweight title defense on Tuesday (Dec. 2), Davis spoke of his future in the ring and that he plans to retire after 2025.
“After next year, I’m out of it,” the champion expressed. “Yeah, out of this sport…Sh*t’s trash. This sh*t is trash, garbage. Fed up. I’m fed up with the whole sh*t…I just want to be able to make money and stay out the way, that’s it. I want to be living without being seen.”Davis added that he wants to fight in at least three more bouts before he steps away from the ring for good.

This literary endeavor promises unprecedented insight, tracing Minnelli's storied career from her breakout successes in "Cabaret" and "liza with a z" to her experiences as the daughter of Hollywood legends Judy garland and Vincente minnelli. The tome will also shed light on her grappling with substance use disorder (sud), with Minnelli describing it as a matter of brain wiring and genetics rather than willpower or strength.
Sam Haskell, founder of Magnolia Hill Productions and Minnelli's former agent, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "Liza's story is one of the most extraordinary, inspiring, and unforgettable in entertainment history. It is an honor to have the opportunity to bring her incredible life to the screen, and I am thrilled to continue our long-standing friendship through this collaboration."
For Minnelli, this project is profoundly personal. "I am beyond excited to work with Sam Haskell of Magnolia Hill Productions and Warner Bros. As Haskell and Minnelli's friendship powers this adaptation, Magnolia Hill Productions continues its successful streak with other renowned TV projects like "The Waltons Homecoming" and "A Waltons Thanksgiving".
Supplementing the memoir's release, an audio edition will feature bonus autobiographical recordings collected over the past 15 years. Fans can also look forward to "Liza: A Truly Terrific Absolutely True Story", a new film highlighting Minnelli's life in the 1970s. Set to premiere in January 2025, this documentary includes archival materials and Minnelli's input, further enriching her storied legacy.
