#RHOA: Kenya Moore’s Daughter, Brooklyn Daly, Celebrates 5th Birthday
How did Brooklyn Daly celebrate her birthday? Why, with a cruise and loads of dancing, of course! Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) star Kenya Moore took to Instagram last week to commemorate her daughter’s special day.

“Happy Birthday to my beautiful daughter @thebrooklyndaly who is the love of my life for whom I prayed all my life,” Moore wrote to her little one. “My greatest gift,” the RHOA star continued.
“God made you for me and I’m so thankful that you are here and you are my best friend,” Kenya wrote to Brooklyn. “Mommy does EVERYTHING for you including work today so that we can travel the world together.”

Brooklyn appeared to be on a trip with her mom in the video clip Kenya uploaded to Instagram. The youngster was filmed while dancing as the crowd on the boat surrounded her.
“Her confidence transcends,” one fan said in reference to Brooklyn’s ability to dance in front of adults. “It says a lot about the woman who’s raising her,” the supporter added. “She’s such a superstar,” another Instagram follower said.

Brooklyn is Kenya Moore’s daughter with her ex-husband, Marc Daly. Kenya and Marc announced their separation in 2019 after an episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta seemingly highlighted his inability to appreciate everything she did to maintain the family unit. Kenya and Marc reunited during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, which led many to believe they would work through the issues plaguing their marriage. Moore and Daly, however, moved to divorce one another a year later.

“We were having problems and there was always this hope that we could get over it, that we could go to counseling, and that it could be better,” Moore said during an interview with Tamron Hall earlier this year. “As I said before, I felt like my voice was stifled a lot because I felt like I had to be a certain kind of wife to get along with him and his personality,” she further explained. “That’s not what a marriage is about,” the RHOA star concluded.
Kenya and Marc continue to work harmoniously when rearing their daughter despite their marriage coming to an end. Brooklyn officially turned five years old on Saturday (Nov. 4).

#MusicNews: Robert Glasper Releases New Holiday Album “In December”

Musical icon Robert Glasper has just released his brand new Holiday album called “In December”. The project mixes classic carols with a set of three brand new originals, and is available exclusively on Apple Music.

LISTEN HERE

The project features special guest appearances from PJ Morton, Sevyn Streeter, Tarriona ‘Tank’ Ball, Cynthia Erivo, Alex Isley, Andra Day, and The Baylor Project. Glasper adds:

“I like covering songs that people know well, that’s what I’ve done throughout my whole career. It was fun remaking these tunes. The intention for this album was less about Christmas songs and more about songs that feel good during the holidays. I stayed away from thinking too much about Christmas and its traditional lingo and concentrated on real things people go through during the holiday season.”

The covers on Glasper’s “In December” completely reimagine these holiday classics and reveal a lot about his musical worldview: Sung by Tony-winning Cynthia Erivo “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” is turned into dark, airy neo-soul, while “Joy to the World”—sung by Alex Isley—feels like a Stevie Wonder ballad. But the originals reveal even more.

#HipHopNews: Rick Ross And Meek Mill Announce $50,000 Sweepstakes Ahead Of Joint LP
Rick Ross and Meek Mill announced a $50,000 sweepstakes tied to their joint album, Too Good to Be True.
Requiring no purchase, the contest allows fans 18 and older to enter by submitting seven lucky numbers and pre-saving the LP. The project is set to release this Friday (Nov. 10) through Maybach Music and gamma.
Furthermore, the sweepstakes will end on Nov. 16, with its winner randomly selected on a date to be announced soon.

The buzz around Ross and Meek’s upcoming body of work was initially fueled by “SHAQ & KOBE.” It received an added boost from the official remix featuring Damian Lillard and Shaquille O’Neal himself.
The Philadelphia native previously teased the album on Oct. 17 via an Instagram trailer. In regard to the pre-release single, Diddy shared, “That’s when I heard you came and played me the joints. And when I saw the video, I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about!’ Even Meek, I was like, ‘Yeah, that n**ga’s bucket [hat] hittin’ just right.’ I’m like, ‘This is refreshing.’”

Meek also gave more context to the joint effort. He explained, “N**gas ain’t seen me or Ross around each other for a long time. We got back to the business, straight back to the family, love, and jumped right back in the studio immediately. So, y’all about to get that live and direct. What happened? Tune in.”

On Oct. 20, he and Ross dropped another standout track titled “Lyrical Eazy.” It sampled JAY-Z’s “Breathe Easy (Lyrical Exercise)” and arrived alongside a Kid Art-directed video.

During an interview with Ebro Darden’s “Rap Life Radio” in September, Meek opened up about his chemistry with Ross. He stated, “When me and Rozay got in the studio, it was all about real energy, organic motivation. This Rozay, I’m rapping next to, too. This Rozay, top five dead or alive right now. I don’t know who wants to argue with that.”

Actor Richard T. Jones Accused of ‘Cheating’ on Wife of 27 Years After Revealing New Woman

Actor Richard T. Jones may have some explaining to do after surprising fans with a post about his new “wife,” Kristy Jones. The on-screen talent seems to be enveloped by love after sharing images of himself and Kristy in two separate Instagram posts.
In the first image, Richard has an arm wrapped around his real-life leading lady as they both smile for the camera. “I love my beautiful wife. Thanks for loving me Kris. You’re my heart,” read the caption. The second post showed the Joneses lovingly gazing into each other’s eyes. “Kristy Jones blesses my heart daily y’all. Love me some her !!!” he wrote.

“Why Did I Get Married?” star Richard T. Jones is called out after sharing photos of himself with his new partner. Richard T. Jones photographed with Kristy Jones (left) and ex-wife Nancy Jones (right). (Photos: @richardtjones/Instagram, Richard T. Jones/Facebook)

Comments on the Oct. 24 posts revealed that many of his followers were shocked to learn that he was no longer with his first wife, Nancy Jones. Nancy and “The Wood” star wed in October 1996. They share four children: daughters Aubrey and Sydney, an older son named Elijah, and a younger son whose name has not been publicized.

Elsewhere on social media, Richard’s new love was a reminder of his portrayal of Mike in Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married?” “I’ll never forgive him for how he did Sheila!!!! had that lady driving up that mountain,” read one comment.
“Somebody get Dr. Umar on the line,” wrote another person after noticing that Kristy is not a Black woman. Dr. Umar, a self-proclaimed pan-Africanist, has publicly expressed his disdain for interracial marriages.

A third person commented, “Ugh. This man #RichardTJones, IN REAL LIFE, is a habitual cheater and had MULTIPLE affairs on his lovely wife Nancy of 27 yrs!! Yup. This latest mis-tress (kristy) was the 3rd wheel in his marriage for a few yrs before Nancy divorced his cheating lie-in azz.
“The mis-tress, who he now parading around as his wife, is a lowly makeup artist on his tv show #TheRookie. The disrespect is real!! There is a right way to do things and a wrong way. THIS was just down right wrong.”

It’s unclear if these allegations are true. But Richard’s last post about Nancy featured various photos of her and their four children for Mother’s Day in 2020. “TO THE BEST OF THE BEST ON MOTHER’S DAY.. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY NANCY JONES,” he wrote.

However, according to court documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Nancy filed for divorce in March 2021. By that time, they had been married for 24 years.

The former couple is expected to make two court appearances, one on Dec. 1 for a child support hearing and again next year on Jan. 25, and the status of Nancy Jones’ divorce petition remains “pending.”

Online Fundraiser for ‘Black Panther’ Stuntman and His Three Children Killed In Georgia Collison Reaches $89,000 with Big Donation from Ava DuVernay
The 10-year-old son of a Marvel movie stuntman left in critical condition following a deadly collision in Georgia on Halloween night has passed away.

The child, identified as Kisasi Ramsess, died of his injuries on Sunday, Nov. 5, according to WAGA-TV Fox5 Atlanta. His father — 41-year-old Taraja — and his sisters Sudari, 13, and 1-month-old Fugibo were also inside the vehicle when the crash happened on Interstate 285 in the metropolitan Atlanta area at about 11 p.m.

The car collided with a broken-down tractor-trailer near an exit, causing the trio to die on impact, USA Today reported. Taraja’s 3-year-old, Shazia, is still reportedly in the hospital. DeKalb County police are investigating the incident.

The family announced the death of Kisasi, also known as “Sauce the Boss, on GoFundMe, adding that he “brought so much joy to the lives of many.” They have received an outpouring of condolences and raised nearly $89,000 of a $150,000 goal to help the child’s grandmother, Akili, with funeral arrangements.

Taraja worked on the sets of multiple blockbuster hits, including “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Black Panther.” Renowned filmmaker Ava DuVernay donated $5,000 to the fundraiser and acknowledged his death in a lengthy Instagram post.
“Taraja. Regal. That’s the word that comes to mind when I think of him,” DuVernay wrote. “He walked like a king. And to me, always acted like one. He was a part of our crew family at ARRAY. He left us last night forever in a way that makes the hearts of all who knew him break into a million pieces.”

His mother, a photojournalist and executive director of the National Press Photographers Association, touted Taraja as a dedicated father who loved martial arts and motorcycles.
“All who knew and met him know how special Taraja was. He had a deep capacity for love and loved his child more than all,” she continued. “He [also had] a very droll yet wicked sense of humor and yet could be as cornball corny as can be.”

Aurora Officer Who Placed Elijah McClain in Neck Hold Found Not Guilty in Manslaughter Case

Aurora Police Officer Nathan Woodyard has been found not guilty of charges related to the death of Elijah McClain.
The shocking verdict was handed down on Monday for the officer who had been on trial for manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide in the death of the 23-year-old Black man in August 2019. McClain was walking home when someone called the police on him because he appeared suspicious due to the mask he was wearing. When Woodyard responded to the scene, he grabbed the young man shortly after exiting his vehicle and placed him in a neck hold. The young man lost consciousness, and first responders at the scene injected him with ketamine to sedate him. Prosecutors argued that Woodyard used excessive force and ignored the department’s de-escalation policy, CBS News explains. However, on the stand, Woodyard claimed he feared for his life when encountering McClain.

The jury seems to have agreed with the defense’s argument that while Woodyard did use improper force, he did not contribute to his death. However, a medical expert has stated otherwise during the trial. Following the verdict, the Aurora Police released a statement on Twitter, seemingly pleased with the outcome.

“As a nation, we must be committed to the rule of law. As such, we hold the American judicial process in high regard. We respect the verdict handed down by the jury and thank the members of the jury for their thoughtful deliberation and service. Due to the additional pending trial, the Aurora Police Department is precluded from further comment at this time,” part of the statement read.

Another Aurora officer, Jason Rosenblatt, was also acquitted last month in McClain’s death. He was charged with reckless manslaughter and second-degree assault. A third officer, Randy Roedema, was convicted of criminally negligent homicide and third-degree assault. Ex-paramedics Jeremy Cooper and Peter Cichuniec will also stand trial for McClain’s death, with jury selection scheduled for November 27th.
