#MAGFAB: Dr. Jill Biden is WOMEN’S HEALTH September ‘Mornings’ Issue Cover Star!

Compassion. Clarity. Confidence. Those are just a few of First Lady Dr. Jill Biden’s superpowers, and she knows exactly how to unlock them when needed. As the cover star of WOMEN’S HEALTH’S September issue—the Mornings issue—Biden opens up about how her strength has been tested, fortified, and renewed throughout her career as a teacher, advocate, and leader, and she eagerly shares how much effort it takes to do “anything worth doing well.”

The first time a First Lady has been profiled by WOMEN’S HEALTH, the interview is accompanied by a portrait portfolio by Alexi Lubomirski, who photographed the First Lady near the Biden home on the coast of Delaware. Plus, in a WOMEN’S HEALTH social video accompanying the cover story, the First Lady shares three things she does every morning and her go-to affirmation to stay motivated during a workout.
On the influence and impact her mother, Bonny, had on her and her four sisters: “Our mother was such a good listener. She was my role model. I feel like I got my inner strength from my mother.”

On her relationship with the President—which began in 1975 when she was a senior at the University of Delaware—and what drew her to him: “I was drawn to his strength. I was drawn to…to what kind of strength was in this man that allowed him to find joy again.”

On packing grilled fish plus vegetables—always in her purple lunch bag—for her midmorning break when she’s teaching at Northern Virginia Community College: “I like fresh food more than fried cafeteria food, so that’s what I pack.”

On being a self-described expert meal prepper when her kids were young: “I had to be organized. I would [make] my shopping lists to make sure there were balanced meals with proteins and vegetables. I went through phases, like when I got a pasta machine. The kids just loved it when I made flavored pastas for them.”

On her regular early-morning workouts, often one of the only things she does entirely for herself: “I need to be with myself and find inner strength so I can be strong for everyone else.”

On running the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C., back in 1998, and recalling how Beau jumped in and ran a few miles of the race with her: “I was on an endorphin high for three days afterward! I am so glad I have that memory.”

On crediting her strength as an orator to how much she preps, never going in “cold” when presenting to a large crowd: “I practice, I rehearse, I want it to be really good. Because I care! And when you care, you want it to resonate with people, you want it to matter.”

On why it’s important for women to know that it is crucial to be independent…financially, emotionally, mentally: “You never know where this life is going to take you.”

#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey’s RHOA Cameo Included New Details on Her Divorce and a Friendship Update!
Bravo fans were in for a treat on Season 15 Episode 13 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which aired on August 6, as Cynthia Bailey made her highly anticipated return to the series.

The former peach holder reunited with Kandi Burruss for dinner at Blaze Steak and Seafood, where they filled each other in on everything going on in their lives. Get all the tea from Cynthia’s epic sit-down, including new details about her divorce, by scrolling down below.

Cynthia Bailey opens up about her divorce from Mike Hill
The last time viewers saw Cynthia on RHOA, she was still basking in all the love from her marriage to Mike Hill. However, Cynthia was in a different mindset on Sunday’s episode when she chatted with Kandi, revealing that she’s now back in the ATL “rebuilding [her] life” after separating from her ex-husband.

“I know you don’t want to get all into that,” Kandi said, to which Cynthia responded, “I really don’t.” At this point, several images of news headlines about her divorce started to appear on the screen.

Moments later, Cynthia opened up to Kandi about how things have been for her while trying to adjust to the change in her love life.

“It just sucks when, you know, this is my second divorce,” Cynthia explained about her situation. “On one hand, it’s like I don’t want to stay in something if I’m not happy… But the reality is [that] I’m a 55-year-old woman.”

Of course, Kandi tried to boost Cynthia’s spirit by assuring her that everything would be “OK” despite her feelings now. And while Cynthia found comfort in Kandi’s kind words, she couldn’t help but think about what went wrong with her ex-husband.
“So here I am starting all over again,” Cynthia said in her confessional. “I am very disappointed that my marriage did not work out. God is moving my steps, even if it’s away from my last marriage.”

Although Cynthia is working on getting past her recent heartbreak, she told Kandi she hasn’t given up on finding love, saying, “I’m a Pisces, so I’m always gonna live for love.”

Later in the episode, Cynthia made an appearance at Kandi’s Peach Buzz Museum, where she got to see the other Georgia peaches. The former model received a warm welcome from everyone, including Kenya Moore, who announced her arrival by exclaiming, “Miss Bailey is in the house!”

Moments after the ladies embraced, they shed light on where things stand between them after their falling-out on Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Ultimate Girls Trip.
“It took several months before Kenya and I had a conversation after the girls’ trip,” Cynthia shared in her interview. She went on to reveal that they reconciled after a conversation at Teresa Giudice’s wedding in August 2022. “It felt good to see her.”

When it was time for Kenya to weigh in on her friendship status with Cynthia, she said, “I’m just so happy to have my sister back, and now that I know what she’s been going through, I’m never, ever going to not be there for her.”

#NewMusic from Ciara, Chris Brown Throw A Mobile Party In “How We Roll” Video

Ciara and Chris Brown link up for a mobile house party in “How We Roll.”
The music video begins with CiCi and Breezy inviting each other to their celebrations, with them ultimately deciding to compete for the best party.

The two dancers then kick off the laidback yet groovy R&B number, as Ciara performs her verse wearing an all-black outfit with a matching pair of Nike Air Command Forces. Chris Brown then comes in donning a scarlet and white varsity jacket, ala his appearance in his “Kiss Kiss” music video. As the song reaches its bridge, Ciara and Chris engage in a dance number, showing off both their Michael and Janet Jackson influence.

The visuals’ setting then transports the pair to a shared house party, where they begin hitting moves with backup dancers. “How We Roll” also serves as an ode to having a good time on a beautiful summer day and loving your significant other, with CiCi showing love to her husband, Russell Wilson.

“Yeah, top off, summer in the wind/You look at me like that again, we make another kid/You my heart, I’m your rib/If I ever had to for you, I would do a bid/And I can tell that you’re ready/Three, two, one, it’s goin’ down like confetti/Pour the ten to one shots again/If we film it on the phone, promise that we’re gonna trend,” the songstress harmonizes.

#HipHopNews: Kanye West Is Allegedly Working On New Album
On Friday (Aug. 4), Chicago producer Orlando "Fya Man" Wilder conducted an AMA on Reddit where he talked about his career and upcoming music. During the Q&A session, Fya Man, who wrote and produced on multiple songs on Ye's Donda album, revealed Ye is back in the lab working on his Donda 2 follow-up. Fya Man described the new songs as "Old Ye but new with the times." He also confirmed the controversial producer was working on the album at his birthday party back in June.

"Music was worked on heavily, and the party was amazing," Fya Man noted.
Fya Man, who won a Grammy for his work on Kany West's "Hurricane," also revealed he's worked with Ye recently and said the Yeezy founder isn't bringing back any tracks from his officially unreleased Donda 2 album.

Musically, Kanye West has been quiet for all of 2023, following a tumultuous 2022 in the rapper's personal life, which found him labeled as a pariah for controversial comments he made in the fourth quarter of 2022. Ye reportedly got married earlier this year to Yeezy designer Bianca Censori. In recent months, he's been appearing to focus on his return to fashion more than music. However, it appears he's been plotting his musical return, too.

#BoxOfficeNews:Barbie BITES The AShark 'Meg 2' to still maintain #1 at The Box Office!
"Barbie" continues to lead the North American box office after opening in theaters three weeks ago. Greta Gerwig's cotton candy-colored fantasy comedy is barely scared off by newcomers, including "Meg 2: The Trench", as it maintains its domination with an addition of approximately $53 million.

"Barbie" has so far generated $459 million in North America and surpassed the $1 billion mark globally after just 17 days in theaters. The movie made history as it has become the first film directed solely by a woman to cross the coveted milestone.

Jeff Goldstein, Warner Bros' president of domestic distribution in the U.S., said in a statement regarding the milestone, "This is a watershed moment for 'Barbie', and no one but Greta Gerwig could have brought this cross-generational icon and her world to life in such a funny, emotional and entertaining story, one that is resonating with all four quadrants of moviegoers and literally turning the entire world pink. Long lines and repeat viewings prove that movies are back in a big, big way, and we look forward to seeing just how far 'Barbie' can go in the real world."

"The Meg" sequel debuts at No. 2 with an estimated $30 million from 3,503 theaters in North America. It's a decent start, albeit a significant drop from the first movie, which opened to $45 million in 2018 and became a surprise hit with $530.5 million globally.

The follow-up film was made with $130 million production budget, which means Warner Bros. was investing a lot in what they expected to be another tentpole. The movie still could be a strong player overseas as it has bagged $112 million internationally for a worldwide start of $142 million.

"Meg 2" pushes down "Oppenheimer" to No. 3 with $28.7 million, albeit dropping only 38.6% from last week. Another new release, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem", trails close behind at No. 4 with an estimated $28 million.

Speaking of the impressive box office results overall, Paul Dergarabedian, a senior Comscore analyst, said, "A rare quadruple threat of $25 million-plus performers is driving another terrific weekend for theaters."

"Haunted Mansion", however, barely contributed to this as it falls from No. 3 to No. 5 with approximately $8.97 million. The supernatural horror comedy dropped 62.7% from last week after its lackluster debut.

Top 10 of North America Box Office (Aug. 04-06, 2023):
"Barbie" - $53 million
"Meg 2: The Trench" - $30 million
"Oppenheimer" - $28.7 million
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" - $28 million
"Haunted Mansion" - $8.97 million
"Sound of Freedom" - $7 million
"Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One" - $6.4 million
"Talk to Me" - $6.3 million
"Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" - $1.5 million
"Elemental" - $1.2 million

Lizzo Admits To Having 'Rough Day' Prior To Lawsuit, Is Defended By Grimes

Lizzo might hint something went wrong days before her former backing dancers filed a sexual harassment and toxic work environment lawsuit against her. In a candid interview with "60 Minutes Australia", the "About Damn Time" hitmaker opened up about having "a rough day."

"Even today, I was having a rough day," the 35-year-old Grammy winner admitted, "I was sad and stuff earlier today." The "Truth Hurts" singer went on to say, "And I still feel like, for some odd reason, even if I'm having a bad day or if I'm going through something, people still get good from it. Maybe I'm transmuting it, or maybe I'm an alchemist."

It's unclear if Lizzo's bad day had something to do with the rift between her and her ex-employees.
Meanwhile, Lizzo found a supporter in fellow musician Grimes. Making use of her Twitter account, the "Shinigami Eyes" singer showed support to the "Juice" artist as she recalled having nothing but pleasant experience with Lizzo despite the sexual harassment and hostile work environment accusations against the latter.

"I love Lizzo. Not saying I don't believe ppl when bad things happen, but I had dancers mistreated on my watch in ways I didn't find out about until way later. Mebe s**t is bad," Grimes wrote on the micro-blogging platform, which was rebranded to X. "But loyalty matters to me."

She continued defending Lizzo, "Lizzo was kind to me and others for a decade before she was 'cool,' and she checked in in me when no one cared. I've only ever seen exemplary behavior from her, especially when everyone was hating on me and she was on top of the world. There was no reason for her to check in, besides to be a good person. Just two my cents."

"I recall when she first blew up being so happy because I'd never known such an admirable person to find fame in the music industry," Grimes further gushed. "I struggle to believe she would so radically changed. Tired of culture that seeks to destroy it's greatest virtues. Lizzo is amazing," so she concluded.

Grimes' tweet
Grimes showed support to Lizzo amid sexual harassment and hostile work enviroment accusations.
Grimes' support to Lizzo garnered mixed responses from her followers. One of them argued, "Grimes it's because you're rich and wealthy and have influence, Lizzo is a classist abuser who doesn't believe people 'on her level' deserve respect."

To that, Grimes clarified, "Lizzo was nice to me before elon when she blew up and I was still indie as fuck. She was nice to me in like 2012 before anyone cared abt either of us. She checked in while I was cancelled a f while I was pregnant when most people abandoned me because they didn't want the association, she was kind when was only a liability to her. I respect that hardcore. That's a good person."

Three of Lizzo's former backup dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez, filed a lawsuit against the singer earlier this month. In the suit, they claimed that they faced sexual harassment, as well as religious and racial harassment, disability discrimination, assault and false imprisonment, among other allegations.

Later on August 3, Lizzo broke silence on the claims in a statement on Instagram. "These last few days have been gut wrenchingly difficult and overwhelmingly disappointing. My work ethic, morals and respectfulness have been questioned. My character has been criticized," she wrote in a statement shared to Instagram.

Denying the allegations, the Detroit native added, "Usually I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed. These sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional (sic)."

Ne-Yo Apologizes for Comments on Parenting and Gender Identity: ‘I Plan to Better Educate Myself on the Topic’

Ne-Yo has issued an apology for the comments he recently made regarding transgender kids.
“After much reflection, I’d like to express my deepest apologies to anyone that I may have hurt with my comments on parenting and gender identity,” the singer wrote on Twitter/X Sunday night (Aug. 6). “I’ve always been an advocate for love and inclusivity in the LGBTQI+ community, so I understand how my comments could’ve been interpreted as insensitive and offensive.”

Ne-Yo continued: “Gender identity is nuanced and I can honestly admit that I plan to better educate myself on the topic, so I can approach future conversations with more empathy.”

“At the end of the day,” he said, “I lead with love and support everyone’s freedom of expression and pursuit of happiness.”
On Saturday, a video of an interview with Gloria Velez for VladTV — in which Ne-Yo and Velez questioned parents who support their children identifying as a different gender than the sex they were assigned at birth — was uploaded to YouTube.

“I just personally come from an era where a man was a man and a woman was a woman,” said Ne-Yo in the interview clip. “And there was two genders, and that’s just how I rocked. You could identify as a goldfish if you feel like, I don’t care. That ain’t my business. It becomes my business when you try to make me play the game with you. I’m not gonna call you a goldfish. But if you wanna be a goldfish, you go be a goldfish. We live in a weird time, man. We do.”
During their conversation he said, “I feel like parents have almost forgotten what the role of a parent is. If your little boy comes to you and says, ‘Daddy, I want to be a girl.’ And you just let him rock with that? He’s 5 … If you let this 5-year-old boy decide to eat candy all day, he’s gonna do that. When did it become a good idea to let a 5-year-old, let a 6-year-old, let a 12-year-old make a life-changing decision for themself? When did that happen? I don’t understand.”

“He can’t drive a car yet, but he can decide his sex?” asked Ne-Yo, who is a father of seven children.
The American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Psychological Association all agree that gender-affirming care is not dangerous for trans youth, and in most cases, it’s highly beneficial and life-saving.

Later on Saturday Ne-Yo expanded on his thoughts in the comments section of an Instagram post, writing, “1st and foremost, I CONDEMN NO ONE. Who am I to condemn anybody? Your life, your kids, your choice. I was asked a question and I answered it. My opinion is mine. I’m not asking anybody to agree with me nor am I telling you what you can and cannot do with your children. I stated my opinion on a matter and that’s that. Why should I care if my opinion upsets you when you don’t care if yours upsets anyone? Opinions aren’t special. We all have one. People voice them regularly whether they’re asked or not. I was actually asked mine. Agreeing to disagree is not a declaration of war. Y’all do whatever the hell y’all want to. But my feelings on the matter are mine. Same way yours are yours. Meanwhile, I love everybody. Don’t agree with some of y’all’s ideals….but love you no less.”

Montgomery Riverfront brawl leads to multiple arrests
MONTGOMERY, Ala - A fight at the Montgomery Riverfront on Saturday has led to multiple arrests.
Montgomery police have confirmed that there are four active warrants as of Sunday afternoon and a possibility that more will follow after the review of additional video.

According to MPD, on Saturday around 7 p.m., units responded to the 200 block of Coosa Street about a disturbance. At the scene, they located a large group of people engaged in a physical altercation.

A video sent in by a viewer shows the fight just feet from the water. A witness claims it started because a pontoon boat was blocking the dock where a riverboat was trying to park. Soon after, police arrived at the scene.

Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed released a statement Sunday afternoon:

Last night, the Montgomery Police Department acted swiftly to detain several reckless individuals for attacking a man who was doing his job. Warrants are being signed and justice will be served.

This was an unfortunate incident which never should have occurred. As our police department investigates these intolerable actions, we should not become desensitized to violence of any kind in our community. Those who choose violent actions will be held accountable by our criminal justice system.

Beyonce Pays $100,000 To Keep Metro DC Trains Running Later For Fans After 2-Hour Concert Delay
Beyonce is going to make sure her fans are safe and provided for. The 41-year-old “Cuff It” singer’s concert in Washington, DC tonight (August 6) was delayed for almost two hours after a shelter in place warning was issued due to severe weather.

Because of that, fans had worried they wouldn’t have a way home due to the Metro shutting down lines at at 12 am. However, Beyonce had them covered.

According to the local ABC7, Beyonce has paid the extra $100,000 for them to run an extra hour, so fans can get home safely.

Most of the stations would be exit only, and only the Morgan Boulevard station would be enter because of its closeness to FedExField.

Will Smith Reflects About The Cost Of Fame After His Children Found Success
Will Smith opened up about a lot on Kevin Hart‘s Hart To Hart series on Peacock.
In addition to talking about almost not taking his Men In Black role, the 54-year-old actor also opened up about how fame came at a cost for him and his family.

Will chatted about how his son, Jaden, and daughter, Willow, started to find success in the early 2010s, and the cost it came with.

“2010 was like the greatest year as an artist, as a parent. Karate Kid came out in June, ‘Whip My Hair’ came out in October. I’m building this dream of a family I’ve had in my mind,” he says.

Will went on, “‘I’m going to do it better than my father did it.’ We’ve talked about it, my father was abusive…I told myself I would never have that kind of energy with my family, and I had a dream, an idea of a family I was building. Pretty much 2010 to 2012 I had achieved everything I had ever dreamed. I was beyond [my] wildest dreams.”

But while success was coming, everyone actually seemed to be miserable while it was happening.
“Nobody in my family was happy. Nobody wanted to be in a platoon. Willow was the first one to begin the mutiny, and it was my first realization that success and money don’t mean happiness,” he recalled. “Up until that point, I really believed that you could succeed your way — to a house and a family — and you could win your way to happiness.”

Because of Willow‘s “mutiny”, Will says it brought him back to reality.

“You can have so much stuff that it makes you miserable,” he added. “That was my first pull-back, and I was like, ‘OK, what am I missing?’ That’s when I started reading and studying psychology and the relation to human happiness. I was never unhappy, I loved life — but I was driving the people around me in a way that I was leaving scorched earth.”

Sharon Farrell, The Young and the Restless actress, dies at 82

Sharon Farrell, the prolific actress best known as the mother to a malicious child in the sci-fi horror movie It's Alive and a scene-stealing star in the soap The Young and the Restless, has died. She was 82.

Farrell's sister announced the news August 2, writing in a Facebook post, "My sister, Sharon Farrell…Sharon Lee Forsmoe, passed away at L.A. Downtown Medical Center May 15, 2023. I do not know the cause of death."

Farrell's career, which spanned several decades, included various roles in film and television. Elon Musk Offers to Pay Legal Bills for People Fired Over Twitter Activity

Elon Musk is looking out for people who have lost their jobs due to their Twitter activity. The tweet comes as a result of NASCAR driver Noah Gragson's suspension over liking a racist meme parodying George Floyd's death.

The business magnate took to his Twitter account on Saturday to let people know he will be paying for the legal fees of anyone else who got fired for posting controversial content.
"If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill. No limit. Please let us know," Musk tweeted.

Twitter: @elonmusk
Elon Musk's tweet came after he announced in July that the number of monthly users on the platform had hit a new high. "X monthly users reach new high in 2023. Chart is 1/1 to yesterday. Also, this is after the removal of a vast number of bots," Musk wrote.
Elon Musk has been working hard to rebrand Twitter into X, a new platform he's describing as the "everything app." One of the biggest changes was the iconic blue bird logo getting replaced by an X. Elon Musk previously said the X was only interim as the company works on a more permanent sign to replace the company's former bird logo.

The official rebrand made headlines after the new X logo appeared as an extravagant flashing sign on top of Twitter's San Francisco office building. Due to neighbors' complaints, it was removed days after it was installed.

Meghan Markle Celebrates 42nd Birthday, Royal Family Didn’t Publicly Wish Her HBD
Meghan Markle turned 42 years old on Friday, without a word from the Royal family.
The Duchess of Sussex celebrated her special day with friends by going to see the hit film, “Barbie,” at a movie theater in Santa Barbara, California, TMZ reported. Markle’s husband, Prince Harry, didn’t go.

Buckingham Palace and royal members King Charles, Prince William, and Prince Kate didn’t publicly wish the Duchess a happy birthday. Something an inside source told TMZ isn’t uncommon.

Apparently, they don’t mark every birthday for every member of the Royal Family. But they tend to for working Royals, which isn’t Meghan or Harry at the moment.

It’s possible they wished her a happy birthday privately. But it’s also possible they didn’t since there’s been some conflict between them in the past.

Last year for Markle’s birthday, her royal brother and sister-in-law tweeted a photo of her with a caption that read, “Wishing a happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex!”
