Trump’s mugshot made public by Fulton County jail after arrest

Former President Donald Trump was booked in the Fulton County jail in Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday on felony charges related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

This is Trump's fourth indictment this year, but it's the first time he's had his mugshot taken. Fulton County authorities are taking mugshots of all 19 people charged in the case, including Trump's lawyers, Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, and his former chief of staff Mark Meadows.

The Fulton County Sheriff’s office released Trump's mugshot not long after he left the jail. The former president was released on a $200,000 bond.

District Attorney Fani Willis, a Democrat, oversaw the charges against Trump and his cohorts. In a filing Thursday, she requested that the trial begin on Oct. 23 of this year. A judge will ultimately decide when Trump's Georgia trial will begin, as he faces other charges in New York, Florida and Washington, D.C

#RHOA: Kenya Moore Reveals Kanye West’s Strange Behavior on Their Date
With every new headline that comes out about Kanye West, one thing becomes intensely clearer—the man needs some help. And that’s not to excuse the things he’s done, but it’s a genuine urging. And the fact is that Kanye has needed help for a long time.
In other news, Kenya Moore’s interview with Carlos King continued on August 22. The star has mostly been spilling all the tea related to Bravo and Real Housewives of Atlanta. But in part two this week, the conversation turned toward Ye.

When Carlos asked who the most famous person Kenya dated was, she shrieked in amusement. After dispelling some rumors, she said, “I went out on a date with Kanye,” emphasizing that it was a single date. “He was crazy as hell.” But before the date, she explained, “I met him, he was so sweet, he would call me all the time, he was a nice guy.”

Kenya’s reaction to Kanye was “What the Hell?”
She clarified this was years even before Kim Kardashian hooked up with Kanye and even pre-Housewives. She estimated 2010. She went on, “So, he invited me to the studio or something, and he would call and call … I just said, ‘Okay, fine, I’ll go.’ Like, literally after 10 or 12 calls.”

As for the date itself, she explained, “He said he had to check on something at his house.” Kenya claims she ended up sitting on his new, plastic-covered furniture for a while. “20 minutes go by, 30 minutes go by, 40 minutes go by, no Kanye … I hear this noise … It’s like a TV.” She got up to go and look for him.

Soon enough, she found him in a room. “I walk in, and I look on the TV, and it was porn.” Carlos was flabbergasted, and Kenya laughed before saying, “It’s like, ‘I’m going home!’ I was like, ‘What the hell?’ … He was literally just sitting there, watching porn.” She, of course, “never went out with him again.”

Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 15 continues Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.

#HipHopNews: Nicki Minaj Files Charges Against Alleged Swatter
Nicki Minaj took legal action after falling victim to a frustrating swatting incident. In a recent social media revelation, the rapper identified the alleged hoax caller and announced that a warrant for their arrest is now in place.

Last month, authorities were called to the musician’s San Fernando Valley residence in response to a 911 call claiming a shooting occurred. LA police swarmed the location only to find the report was false.

Announced on Wednesday (Aug. 23) evening, Minaj tracked down the individual she named “Stephanie Bell.” She wrote, “A warrant is in the system. Great detective work. So grateful. The DA filed one count for the swatting call and one for the false report to DCFS [Department of Children and Family Services]. To God be the glory.”

The swatting incident wasn’t Minaj’s first brush with online trolls. In June, false child abuse claims prompted police to visit her home and inspect her son. Additionally, a petition circulated, claiming neighbors wanted the rapper and her husband, Kenneth Petty, removed from their Hidden Hills residence.

Minaj’s fans were quick to rally around her. They showed support for her legal action and contempt for the fraudulent dispatcher. “Swatting a Black woman and her family when we’ve learned so much in the past years how police can be reckless towards Black people is very sick behavior,” one user commented.
Another person chimed in, “B**tch, I fell asleep for two hours and woke up to Nicki exposing the nincompoop that had her house swatted. The FBI better get [Stephanie Bell] before the Barbz do, to say the least.”

Despite Minaj’s recent legal troubles, the artist continued to make headlines for her music. Her collaboration with Ice Spice for “Barbie World” recently reached the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart.

It marked a 31 percent weekly increase in radio plays. Notably, the impressive feat signified the largest leap to the top position on that chart since the 1990s.

Lizzo Plans To Countersue Backup Dancers For "Malicious Prosecution"

On Aug. 1, Lizzo faced a lawsuit from three former backup dancers over allegations of harassment and poor working conditions. Now, her legal team is making moves to fight back.

(Aug. 23), the musician’s attorney, Marty Singer, released photographs of the plaintiffs. The images showed Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez interacting with performers from Crazy Horse’s topless cabaret show in Paris on March 5. According to the legal professional, the photos undermined the dancers’ claims that they were forced to attend the show.
“These images showing the three plaintiffs gleefully reveling backstage after the topless show were taken after their February visit to Bananenbar in Amsterdam that they complain about in their lawsuit,” Singer told TMZ.

However, the dancers’ attorney stood by the suit and insisted that his clients wanted to retain their jobs but finally reached a breaking point. In a statement to People, Neama Rahmani wrote, “Our clients aren’t afraid of Singer or his empty threats or his victim shaming.”

The legal battle escalated with both sides presenting evidence and making strong statements in the media. Singer described the case as a “sham.” He revealed that Lizzo plans to countersue for malicious prosecution once the current claims are dismissed.

The initial lawsuit’s specifics included allegations of sexual, racial, and religious harassment and poor working conditions. In their complaint, the plaintiffs claimed that the “Special” singer failed to disclose the nature of the performances when inviting them.
On Aug. 3, Lizzo publicly stated that she was “not the villain” and that the accusations were “too outrageous” not to address. Her Instagram post read, “The sensationalized stories are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional.”

Sam Asghari Won't Be Able To Profit From Britney Spears' Upcoming Memoir
Sam Asghari won't be making a dime off from Britney Spears' upcoming memoir. Amid reports that he signed a deal that would pay him a million dollars for every year of marriage in the eventuality of a breakup, the model is not going to be able to profit from the singer's tell-all book.

According to a new report, Britney and Sam's "iron-clad prenup" prohibits him from make a penny from her biography "The Woman in Me". A source tells Page Six, "Britney and Sam have a totally iron-clad prenup. He gets basically nothing - there are no millions, and he certainly will not profit from Britney's book, that's her book."
Daily Mail previously reported that Sam will be featured in the tell-all, but "not a lot." A source told the news outlet earlier this month, "Sam features in the autobiography but not a lot. You'll see on October 24 when it comes out."

In July, Britney gushed about how much work she put into the book over the past year. "I worked my a** off for this book. I had a lot of therapy to get this book done so you guys better like it, and if you don't like it, that’s fine too," she wrote on Instagram at the time.

After Sam filed for divorce earlier this month, it was reported that Britney "frantically" attempted to rewrite the memoir. According to reports, the autobiography mostly focuses on the pop star's "early life, career, and journey out of her conservatorship" but does feature Sam to an extent.

A source told The Daily Star, the 41-year-old is "keen to control the narrative" of her divorce and had been "frantically rewriting" the work before publication. "Britney is keen to ensure she takes control of the narrative, and there is no better way than to say what happened in her own words in her book," the source claimed.

However, TMZ said that no changes will be made to the memoir. "There won't be any changes made to the memoir to reflect Britney's divorce," sources told the site. Because the "Overprotected" songstress gave her "final sign-off" on the book just two weeks before her split news, she now has "no right to demand any further changes" before it's published on its originally planned release day of October 24.

Former USC star Reggie Bush files defamation suit against NCAA, wants Heisman Trophy back

Former University of Southern California superstar Reggie Bush is accusing the NCAA of defamation in a lawsuit filed Wednesday in an Indiana Superior Court, and is again asking the collegiate sports governing body to reinstate his football records so he can get his 2005 Heisman Trophy back.

The filing centers on a 2021 statement from the NCAA that said its rules still prohibited “pay-for-play type arrangements” based on the recent changes to name, image and likeness (NIL) rules, and “previous penalties, including those that are several years old, will not be re-evaluated or reconsidered.”

Bush won the Heisman Trophy, awarded annually to the most outstanding collegiate football player, in 2005 when he rushed for 1,740 yards on just 200 carries and scored 18 total touchdowns for the University of Southern California. In 2010, Bush voluntarily gave up the coveted award after an NCAA investigation found he received benefits of several thousand dollars and a vehicle that were not allowed at the time and he was ruled ineligible as of 2004.

Bush, whose case was not directly mentioned in the statement, claims the NCAA defamed him and insists he was never paid to play football while at the University of Southern California.
In a separate petition to the NCAA, which is headquartered in Indianapolis, on August 14, Bush asks for reconsideration of their decision based on what Bush’s attorney Ben Crump calls a “flawed” and “sloppy” investigation.
The NCAA declined to comment on the lawsuit and petition.

When the Supreme Court ruled in 2021 that college athletes can receive education-related payments for use of their name, image and likeness, Bush petitioned to get his award reinstated to no avail.

“The NCAA’s claim that Mr. Bush engaged in “pay–for–play” (the “Statement”) is reasonably and widely understood to mean that Mr. Bush received payment in return for playing football at the University of Southern California (“USC”),” the lawsuit claims.
Bush said the notion is “100% not true” in a news conference on Wednesday. “There’s no factual evidence behind any of these claims,” he said.

His attorneys claim the NCAA’s investigation into Bush’s actions were flawed and that he was defamed with “patently false statements” that sullied his name and reputation.
The Heisman Trophy Trust, which gives the award each December, said in 2021 that if the NCAA reinstates Bush’s 2005 status they would welcome him “back into the Heisman family.”

Stephen A. Smith announces Shannon Sharpe will join ESPN's 'First Take' Sept. 4
Skip Bayless Emotionally Speaks Out Following Damar Hamlin Comment BacklashScroll back up to restore default view.
Shannon Sharpe, recently of FS1's "Undisputed," has found a new home.
Stephen A. Smith announced Thursday that Sharpe will be joining him and the rest of the crew on ESPN's "First Take," starting Sept. 4.

"It is official, Shannon Sharpe is coming to 'First Take'," Smith said, after admitting he had only found out himself about 60 seconds earlier.

Sharpe is moving to ESPN after seven years of sparring with Skip Bayless on "Undisputed." Fox poached Bayless from "First Take" in 2016 and paired him with Sharpe, a Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end who had been a commentator for CBS. It was a successful partnership that led to numerous passionate, furious and dramatic debates, though an incident in January showed some friction between the two.

When Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on the field during a game on Jan. 4, which required his heart to be restarted with a defibrillator, Bayless posted a tweet not about Hamlin's health, but about whether the game should be postponed. Sharpe was not on "Undisputed" the next day, and when he returned, he explained why — but not without Bayless interrupting him.

Sharpe announced he was leaving in early June, and his final "Undisputed" appearance was June 13. On the show, he tearfully thanked Bayless for his support over the years.

Sharpe will appear with Smith on "First Take" every Monday and Tuesday. As for "Undisputed," there haven't been any new episodes since Sharpe left. That's reportedly because Fox Sports had been struggling to find a replacement for Sharpe. Bayless announced Wednesday that Keyshawn Johnson, Richard Sherman and Michael Irvin would be joining "Undisputed" and turning it into an ensemble show, but that's not confirmed yet. Johnson, who was laid off by ESPN in June, has yet to be released from his contract, according to the New York Post.

Kevin Hart lands himself in a wheelchair after trying to race a former NFL player
On Wednesday (Aug. 23), Kevin Hart took to Instagram to reveal that he injured himself to the point where he’s currently in use of a wheelchair. Calling himself “the dumbest man alive,” the star comedian apparently attempted to race former New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley, which led to disastrous results.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the age 40 is real,” Hart, who celebrated his 44th birthday in July, began in a self-recorded video. “This is just a public service announcement, because I know people may see me out and I don’t want you to be alarmed. I’m in a wheelchair. Why? Because I tried to jump out there and do some young stuff… and I was told to sit my a** down. Me and Stevan got into a little debate. The debate was based off who was faster. Those that know me know I’m pretty fast. Stevan said, ‘Kev, ain’t no way you’re gonna beat me.'”

He continued, “We get out there, we go and run the 40-yard dash. Guys, I blew all my s**t. Tore my lower abdomen, my abductors are torn. I don’t even know what that is, but I tore ’em… Why did I even race? Stupidest s**t ever.”

For what it’s worth, Ridley offered a warm response to Hart‘s painful situation. “I saw Tom Brady do it at your age, so I figured you had the juice too, big bro! My bad… heal up and keep making us all laugh!” the 34-year-old retiree wrote in his Instagram Stories.

Others, including friend and frequent collaborator Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, shared a similar injury of his own in Hart’s comments. “I tore my abductor off my pelvis during a wrestling match. True story. You’ll be fine. You’ll grow a third ball, but you’ll be fine,” the wrestler-turned-actor humorously counseled. Meanwhile, Will Smith chimed in by simply stating, “Getting older is REAL!”

‘Barbie’ Overtakes ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ as Highest-Grossing Film of 2023 in North America

Greta Gerwig’s fantasy-comedy, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, has generated $575.4 million at the domestic box office, overtaking the previous champion, “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” which has collected $574 million domestically.

“Barbie” has grossed $1.3 billion globally and will soon surpass “Mario” (with $1.35 billion globally) as the biggest worldwide release of 2023 as well. Only two Hollywood blockbusters this year have crossed the $1 billion mark and, notably, neither were superhero adventures or sequels in popular franchises.

“Barbie” started its record-breaking theatrical run in July with the best debut of the year ($162 million) and remained the No. 1 movie for four consecutive weekends. It also landed the biggest opening weekend for a film directed by a woman and became the highest-grossing movie directed solely by a woman. At this point, “Barbie” is the 14th-biggest domestic release and 20th-biggest global release of all time.

“Barbie” also recently surpassed Christopher Nolan’s superhero epic “The Dark Knight” ($536 million) as the highest-grossing domestic release in Warner Bros. history. It could eventually eclipse 2011’s “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” ($1.34 billion) as the studio’s highest-grossing worldwide release in 100 years.

Gerwig, the Oscar-nominated director of “Lady Bird” and “Little Women,” co-wrote the screenplay with her partner Noah Baumbach. The cotton candy-colored blockbuster follows the popular doll as she leaves behind the seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land to discover the highs and lows of life in the real world. The cast also includes America Ferrera, Issa Rae, Will Ferrell, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu and Michael Cera.

WWE star Bray Wyatt dies at age 36
Windham Rotunda, known as WWE star Bray Wyatt, died suddenly at age 36, WWE announced on Thursday.
Details of Rotunda’s death were scarce. Wyatt last wrestled against LA Knight at this year’s Royal Rumble in January.

Born into a wrestling family, Rotunda rose to fame last decade playing a backwoods bayou-inspired character, leading a faction known as the Wyatt Family in the early 2010s. Rotunda, alongside the late Jon Huber (Luke Harper) and Erick Rowan, was a primary foil for the Shield stable (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose).

Rotunda’s evolution as a character was unmatched creatively as he introduced a Mr. Rogers-esque persona alongside his “Fiend” alter ego. The creativity and talent both inside and outside of the ring made him a fan-favorite throughout his entire career.

Wyatt won fuve championships throughout his career, including the WWE championship and WWE universal championship (twice), the company’s top two individual titles.

Rotunda is survived by his partner, former WWE ring announcer JoJo Offerman, their two children together, his brother Bo Dallas (Taylor Rotunda), father Mike Rotunda, uncle Barry Windham, and two children from a previous marriage.

Other figures from the WWE universe, including Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, expressed their sympathies on X, formerly known as Twitter:
Im heartbroken over the news of Bray Wyatt’s passing. Always had tremendous respect and love for him and the Rotunda family. Loved his presence, promos, in ring work and connection with @wwe universe.

Very unique, cool and rare character, which is hard to create in our crazy…

Halle Berry to Pay Ex-Husband $8K Monthly in Child Support

After a nearly decade-long legal battle, Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez have reportedly finalized their divorce.
According to The Blast, Martinez will receive $8,000 in monthly child support and 4.3% of Berry’s income over $2 million. The pair also settled on joint legal and physical custody of their nine-year-old son Maceo, per TMZ. Berry will have the child from Monday to Wednesday, and Olivier will have his son from Wednesday to Friday, with alternate custody on weekends.

Berry and Martinez began dating in 2010 and they wed in France in 2013. Their son was born in October of that year. In 2015, the ex-couple called it quits.
The Oscar-winning actress recently confessed that she is in no hurry to get married again.
We reported previously that Berry and her boyfriend of three and a half years, musician Van Hunt, are not ready to tie the knot.

After unions with David Justice, Eric BenΓ©t, and Martinez didn’t work out, “Halle doesn’t want to make another mistake and end up in divorce court,” an unnamed source told Radar. “
Van’s so easygoing and great with her two kids [Nahla, 15, and Maceo-Robert, 9], but the idea of saying ‘I do,’ only to have the marriage crash and burn scares her,” the insider added.

Meanwhile, Berry gushed about her romance with Hunt in an interview with AARP The Magazine last year, saying: “For the first time in my life, everything is firing on all cylinders” in all aspects of her life.
She added, “I really believe I’ve found my person. My son Maceo on his own did this little commitment ceremony for us in the back seat of the car. I think he finally sees me happy, and it’s infectious. It was his way of saying, ‘This is good. This makes me happy,’”

ChlΓΆe x Halle Seemingly Respond To Blogger Funky Dineva’s Insulting Critiques
After pregnancy rumors began circulating about singer and actress Halle Bailey, following her attending BeyoncΓ©’s Renaissance Tour, her sister ChlΓΆe told spectators to leave Halle alone.
“Y’all better keep my sister’s name out of your mouth. Thank you. Bout to get me riled the hell up,” said ChlΓΆe in an Instagram Live video earlier this week. Many responded to the “Treat Me” singer, including blogger Funky Dineva.

“I can officially say I don’t like her. ChlΓΆe Bailey is so goddamn lame to me,” Funky Dineva barked on a recent episode of Fox Soul’s Tea-G-I-F. “First of all, girl, you are Miss Preppy Ashley from the suburbs. Then you came out being all promiscuous and sh*t, and now you’re trying to be a gangster. None of it is f**king believable.”

He continued, “And I’m probably gonna catch a lot of backlash for this, and without that makeup, she ain’t cute. She never should’ve shown up on that camera with that fat-a** face without no makeup. You’re inauthentic, that’s why your sh*t aint selling.” It is noted that co-host Claudia Jordan did defend Halle’s choice to disclose whether or not she is pregnant.

As Funky Dineva went on to bash ChlΓΆe some more, call Halle’s boyfriend DDG a “loser,” and claim to know that Halle is with child, he said, “I don’t like people playing in our face. The girl is literally pregnant. She’s pregnant.”

Speaking to a recent vlog by DDG, where The Little Mermaid star could be seen in the background, he added, “I analyzed that video. It’s one thing to have that big piece on, she was waddling and then when she went to put her arm around the girl, the dress draped over the stomach. You could visibly see the bump.”

He went on to declare that ChlΓΆe “didn’t shut down sh*t” with her IG Live video. He also suggested that if Halle wants to shut down pregnancy rumors, then she should “stay her a** home” or show a video of her stomach currently. On top of it all, he stated that he believes DDG trapped Halle with a baby, if she is indeed pregnant.

After the Fox Soul episode went viral, ChlΓΆe and Halle seemingly responded to Funky Dineva’s sentiments with a simple tweet. On Wednesday (Aug. 23), the Swarm actress tweeted, “Lol, people be so mad at your happiness. Get help,” to which Halle followed up with, “They need help immediately!!!!

Although neither singer directly tweeted the blogger, many assumed that the duo was talking about him.

R. Kelly’s Royalties Garnished: Singer and Label Ordered to Pay $500K in Restitution to Victims

R. Kelly’s victims are set to receive $500k in restitution from his royalties of past hits.
Legal documents obtained by TMZ Hip Hop reveal that a judge approved an order to garnish the troubled singer’s royalties after it was discovered that Universal Music Group possessed a significant portion.

As a result, the company will provide a payment to cover Kelly’s restitution.
According to the court order, Kelly owes $506,950.26 in restitution, and UMG holds $567,444.19 in royalties, more than enough to cover the debt.

Despite his earlier catalog’s continued revenue generation, Kelly’s recent music ventures have faced challenges.
In December, some of his new tracks were leaked and later removed.  Additionally, he was dropped by RCA and Sony music labels in 2020 ahead of his trial.

It was previously reported that the disgraced singer is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for multiple sexual offenses.

L.A Lakers Set to Reveal Kobe Bryant Statue February 2024
The Los Angeles Lakers and Vanessa Bryant announced the unveiling of a bronze statue honoring Kobe Bryant on February 8, 2024, at Star Plaza outside Crypto.com Arena.
“As you know, Kobe played his entire 20-year NBA career as a Los Angeles Laker,” Vanessa Bryant said in a video to fans.  “Since arriving in this city and joining the Lakers organization, he felt at home here, playing in the City of Angels.  On behalf of the Lakers, my daughters, and me, I am so honored that, right in the center of Los Angeles, in front of the place known as the house that Kobe built, we are going to unveil his statue so that his legacy can be celebrated forever.”

Kobe Bryant took part in planning the forthcoming statue at Star Plaza after retiring.  This marks the initiation of a series of tributes to honor his legacy.  He will be the seventh Lakers figure with a statue, alongside Elgin Baylor, Shaquille O’Neal, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Jerry West, and Chick Hearn.

Artist Julie Rotblatt Amrany crafted the sculpture from the Fine Art Studio of Rotblatt Amrany.

“Kobe Bryant was one of the most extraordinary athletes of all time and one of the most iconic individuals in the history of Los Angeles,” said Jeanie Buss, Los Angeles Lakers Governor.  “There is no better place for Kobe to be honored with a statue than here, at the center of our city, where everyone can celebrate him and be inspired by his incredible achievements.”

Additional details about the February 8 ceremony will be shared soon.

“Kobe’s transcendent spirit is always and forever in our hearts – inspiring us every day,” said Rob Pelinka, Los Angeles Lakers Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager.  “And now, with the unveiling of this powerful and beautiful statue, he will have a physical presence, too.  A place on the hallowed ground Kobe created, where we can all gather and pay honor to a mighty and great man.”
